I like to imagine that some of the previous prompts and this one all represent different nightmares and fears that Miles Morales has.

Day 4 being him confronting The Spot while powerless or after his home is destroyed, Day 13 being him chased and cornered by Miguel, Day 22 being him losing his mentor Peter Parker, and this prompt being his closest friend, Gwen, getting hurt. It's quite sad the more you think about it especially with the release of The Spider Within.. :(

The rain caused the black and red suit to shimmer in the moonlight as you stood at the building's edge. Looking over your shoulder, you observed him with his hood pulled over his head to shield from the rain. As you glanced back at him, you noticed his bored expression—almost unreadable, a rarity for this Spider-Man.

Leaning forward, your body dove over the edge of the tall building without hesitation. Skillfully, you maintained a practiced form, keeping your arms and legs together as if you had done this a million times. Within seconds, he fell alongside you, mirroring your form but with evident inexperience. Without uttering a word, he grabbed your arms, and the two of you descended in perfect synchronization. From a distance, it appeared as though a red and violet blur were in pursuit.

Both of you noticed how close you were getting towards the ground. As you both neared the ground, you gripped the Spiderman just like he did you before. Your palms began to glow violet effortlessly, causing Spider-Man to react with visible astonishment. In mere seconds, a bright violet sphere enveloped both of you, and in another instant, you were no longer falling, escaping the rain.

★ The traffic noise and rain hitting the pavement were replaced by a steady beat, and within seconds, people joined in singing along with the song. Without hesitation, you skillfully maneuvered around the dancing crowd. Glancing back, you noticed another Spider-Man closely trailing you amidst the vibrant lights. In the midst of the crowd, you swiftly lost him, taking the chance to remove your mask, enhancing visibility. Spotting a jacket on the back of a chair, you snatched it, putting it on to block out the overwhelming scents of booze and weed. Pulling the hood over your head, you continued blending into the lively scene.

As the music pulsed and the crowd swayed, the rhythm of the night enveloped you. The neon lights painted the scene in vibrant hues, and your steps synchronized with the beat. Amidst the dancing throng, you glimpsed the persistent Spider-Man still in pursuit.

With the hood pulled low, you seamlessly blended into the sea of revelers, your true identity veiled. As the song carried on and the night embraced you, you navigated the pulsating energy of the crowd, leaving the pursuing Spider-Man lost in the kaleidoscope of lights and music.

Spotting a distant door, hopeful it led to the exit, you made a beeline for it. Pushing the metal door open revealed a dim back alley, rain still cascading. Undeterred, you stepped out of the lively party, greeted by the brisk air.

Inside, Spider-Man noted the door's movement, swiftly following your path into the cold, rainy night. The creak of the door opening and closing prompted you to halt and face him. Moments stretched as you both assessed each other—his mask concealing, rain staining your cheeks. Silence lingered; neither moved nor uttered a word the only sound coming from the muffled lyrics to the sound playing inside. Breaking the stillness, you continued down the muddy alley, vanishing into the obscurity of the night leaving Spiderman standing in the rain alone.

Currently drawing JBM but it's taking the piss because I've decided to do an actual background for once so in the meantime here's a list of things I've included in his design and the thoughts/intentions behind them:

Hearing aids on both ears- he's partially deaf in his left ear (something he developed in his childhood) and he ruptured his right eardrum causing permanent damage which caused hearing loss

PUNK SYMBOLS!! Purple & Yellow laces- to show he supports/is a part of the LGBTQ+ and is Anti-Racist. Safety Pins to show that he's a safe person to approach. Blue ribbon - symbol for Child abuse awareness. Anarchy symbols + Anti-IRIS symbol, BLM fist symbol and "Eat the rich + Feed the poor" patches. Pins with his pride flags (transgender+ MLM flags) and an ASD rainbow infinity symbol pin (I have yet to draw him with one but he also wears an Anti-Autism Speaks patch)

Choppily done mullet with green hair dye- it's meant to look like he's done it himself, he has both sides shaved and has kept the middle grown out. The story behind it is that he was never allowed to cut his hair short as a kid but shaved all of it off when he joined IRIS- he combines the two into a mullet now to show his defiance of both (which is why he also dyes it- something neither would allow him to do before).

He has a visually bent nose and missing front tooth- these are both from separate fights (he does have another missing tooth but you can't see it like you can with his front teeth) the missing front tooth happened after he got into a fight with some older kids while he was in highschool- his nose got bent during one of his early missions with IRIS. This is on top of the amount of other scars he has from various other fights, experimentations and other shit from over the years

He has a few spider themed tattoos(he's a Spider-Man kinnie), as well as an Earth Kingdom (From Avatar the Last Airbender) BRO WOULD BE AN EARTHBENDER FIGHT ME ON THIS‼️‼️

His eyes are an unnatural blue colour- due to the side effects of IRIS' experimentation- his actual eye colour is Hazel/Grey. They glow in the dark- (while Marvin's does in relation to them being cat like-) Jackie's act more similar to electrical glowing

Jackie is British-Irish here (why he's wearing a British patch) he was born and raised in the North-West of England (most likely in Liverpool as Liverpool has 79% of it's citizens be of Irish descent) his mothers side are all from Ireland and his father's side are British (You can imagine the absolute chaos that was the result from this). And yes Chase does remind him of him that he's EXTREMELY British every ten seconds (Chase has immediate beef with him and it's so entertaining to watch)

Jackie knows a few different languages- English, BSL and a small amount of Gaelic, but he also knows some German from Henrik too.

Jackie is the youngest out of all the egos but they all thought he was older because of the fact that he easily has the most muscular/strong body frame and they initially thought he was taller (thank god for platform boots)

1. Alex Claremont-Díaz (RWRB)

i wish i could explain to you the deep connection i have to this fictional man. he is me and i am him. he probably has been my favorite character since i first found him on 2021 (which is the longest hyperfixation ive ever had, funnily enough) and has actually shaped me to be more confident in myself and all that mushy stuff, so yeah, im just missing a henry kinnie that wants to put up with this mess.

2. Percy Jackson (Riordanverse)

i binge read pjo and hoo these last months, and the way ive become attached to this kid is something else. i want to protect him from anything.

3. Nico di Angelo (Riordanverse)

like with percy, i became attached to him from the moment he showed up, and i would protect him with my life even from rick riordan. he cant do no wrong ever.

4. Henry Fox-Mountchristen-Windsor (RWRB)

henry has specially gained a piece in my heart lately, but i have to be honest, when i first read about him, i thought nothing of him more than the perfect companion and love interest in alex's story. i have to say that getting a glance to his mind through both the bonus chapter and really fucking good fics gave me the insight i needed to comprehend him: his actions, his motivations, and everything in between that made him who he is and made me realize how many things we have in common and how many things i could learn from him, which is always a beautiful experience

5. June Claremont-Díaz (RWRB)

theres nothing i wouldnt do for her. even though i absolutely HATE how i wrote the fic that has june's pov, im still in the process of learning about her and comprehending her more. still, she reminds me so much of my own sister, even though i should kin her more than alex because of the whole sapphic latina journalist who loves her sibling very much, even when they annoy the shit out of you, but alas, im a younger sister and june has so much vibes of my own sister except with my tastes, so yeah, nothing i wouldnt do for her

6. Iris West-Allen (The Flash TV)

in case you didnt know this about me, i had a not-so-recent hyperfixation on the flash (and it can absolutely be seen in my sky high au), and she was half the reason of it. i wish i could put into words how much i fucking love her in every sense of the word. like, i'm in love with her but i also want her to be happy and protected at all costs and i would do anything for her to actually get those things. she can also step on me and i would thank her, but that is unrelated

7. Annabeth Chase (Riordanverse)

what you dont get is that for her i would become like a rabid feral gremlin or maybe that dog that takes a sword in its mouth and starts swinging carelessly. thats how ready i am to protect her from absolutely everything, even spiders, no matter how fucking scared i am of them

8. Imogen Heaney (Heartstopper TV)

yes, i am absolutely biased because the actress also has t1d and my hc is that now imogen also has t1d, but also because i, too, affirmed with my whole chest how i was an ally and totally straight and then slowly realized i was sapphic bc of one cute girl in my friend group that called me out on my bs 💀

9. Barry Allen (The Flash TV)

yes, we dont acknowledge that other version by that other actor. yes, he's last because i had a love-hate relationship with the way he was written. but season 8!barry became one of my favorite versions of him, and i absolutely thank grant (the actor) for the way he made me love the character once again

i missed so many characters that i love but just not like i love these ones. the only one who could easily take barry's place on the list would be nick nelson my absolute beloved, but since flash tv ended this year, it had me in my feelings and i couldn't not put him there, so yeah

Oh my god. OH my god. On the subject of transfem Harry/Emily. I don't know if she's a musical person (yeah, Spider-Man 3 mentions the playwriting but there's more than one kind of theater) but if she was can you imagine her having gender envy for Chrsitine Daae. If pressed she'd say she wants that iconic chestnut mane, and that's not untrue, but I think she also wishes her dead dad whose memory influences her every move had been a nice person.
