A Step-by-Step Guide to Building a Web App in 2025
Tumblr media
The advancements in technology by 2025 have made web app development more streamlined and efficient than ever. However, creating a high-performing web app still requires careful planning, the right tools, and a clear vision. This guide covers everything you need to know, from the basics to advanced strategies, for building a web app.
What Is a Web App?
A web application is a program that operates within a web browser. Unlike traditional software that needs to be installed, web apps can be accessed via a simple URL, making them incredibly convenient.
From simple tools like online calculators to complex platforms like e-commerce sites and social networks, web apps are versatile and widely used by businesses for their seamless communication between users and servers.
Is Web App Development Easy?
Thanks to modern frameworks and tools, building web apps has become more accessible compared to a decade ago. However, the complexity depends on your goals. Simple apps are relatively easy to create, but larger, feature-rich applications demand more effort, expertise, and planning.
Custom web app development is a popular choice for businesses as it ensures tailored solutions that align perfectly with their requirements.
Key Requirements for Building a Web App
Before diving into development, ensure you have these essentials:
A Clear Vision: Know your app's purpose, target audience, and the problems it will solve.
Skilled Team: If you're not a developer, you'll need experts like programmers, UI/UX designers, and project managers.
Budget: Plan for costs, including development, design, and any market-specific needs.
Technology Stack: Choose the tools, frameworks, and databases best suited for your project.
Having these foundations in place will set you up for a smoother development process.
Steps to Create a Web App
Developing a web app involves several key phases:
Ideation: Define your app’s purpose and research your target audience and competitors.
Planning and Design: Create wireframes and mockups to outline the user journey and interface design.
Development: Write code for both front-end and back-end, integrate APIs, and manage databases.
Testing: Identify and fix glitches, optimize loading times, and ensure cross-browser compatibility.
Launch and Maintenance: Deploy your app, market it to your audience, and regularly update it with improvements.
These steps ensure a structured approach, resulting in a reliable and user-friendly product.
Types of Web Applications
Understanding the type of web app you need is crucial:
Static Web Apps: Best for simple, informational content.
Dynamic Web Apps: Ideal for e-commerce, social media, and interactive platforms.
Progressive Web Apps (PWAs): Accessible via browsers but can also be installed like a native app.
Choosing the right type helps streamline your development process.
Stages of Web App Development
Web app development typically involves these stages:
Requirement Gathering: Define objectives and features.
Design and Prototyping: Visualize the app’s structure and user experience.
Development and Testing: Build and refine the app to ensure quality.
Deployment: Launch the app and monitor its performance in real-world conditions.
Following these stages helps deliver a product that meets expectations.
Why Choose Web Apps Over Mobile Apps?
Web apps have several distinct advantages:
Cross-Platform Accessibility: They work seamlessly across devices without needing separate builds.
Cost-Effectiveness: A single web app is more economical to develop than multiple native apps.
Ease of Updates: Users access the latest version instantly, without manual downloads.
How Can Web Apps Benefit Enterprises?
For businesses, web apps offer:
Enhanced Efficiency: Automate processes and reduce manual effort.
Scalability: Easily expand as your business grows.
Global Reach: Serve clients worldwide through a browser-based platform.
These benefits make web apps a valuable investment for enterprises aiming to boost productivity and reach new markets.
By following this guide, you can confidently start building a web app in 2025. Whether you're creating a simple tool or a robust enterprise solution, understanding the basics is essential. For tailored web app development, consider consulting a professional partner today!

Preserving Your DHD Library
Tumblr media
Dark Horse Digital is closing up shop and is ending support March 31st.
All purchases through DHD are on a "license the right to read" basis - we do not "own" the books. While they say we have until March 30 to download to our Bookshelf library, the ability to read on the website will only be available "at least through summer".
Well, that's awful.
If you want a way to preserve all your books, detailed instructions under the cut.
As a disclaimer, this may not be legal in all jurisdictions. Use your best judgment. Also, this method does not work for all titles, and has not been updated since 2017.
That said...
How to Download your DHD Library
Step 1: Install Tampermonkey extension via Chrome web store. (If other browser, check Step 1 here.)
Make sure to also enable "Developer mode" in extensions. On Brave you can access it through the Settings - Extensions - Manage Extensions. For Chrome, refer to this video to enable.
Tumblr media
Step 2: Copy (CTRL+C) all the code from the Dark Horse Downloader script by oxguy3, under "Code" tab.
Step 3: Click the Tampermonkey extension in your browser and choose "Create a new script."
Tumblr media
Delete the default code and Paste (CTRL+V) the script. Then, click File - Save.
Tumblr media
Step 4: Log into Dark Horse Digital and go to your Bookshelf. Make sure "Stack by Series" is disabled. You should see something like this image - press "Download" for the title you want to keep.
Tumblr media
Step 5: Download will start automatically. When it is done, it should pop up in your Downloads folder as a CBZ file.
CBZ files are basically an archive of all the images from the title. You can use an app like YACReader or CDisplayEx to view like a book.
Tumblr media
If you want a more visual explanation, this video on how to bulk download Kindle titles has a similar method.
(And FYI, Amazon is also removing access to download Kindle titles after February 26. Isn't that a fun coincidence. /s)
Anywho, best of luck!
EDIT: I added a step in Step 1 to enable Developer Mode.

"Artists have finally had enough with Meta’s predatory AI policies, but Meta’s loss is Cara’s gain. An artist-run, anti-AI social platform, Cara has grown from 40,000 to 650,000 users within the last week, catapulting it to the top of the App Store charts.
Instagram is a necessity for many artists, who use the platform to promote their work and solicit paying clients. But Meta is using public posts to train its generative AI systems, and only European users can opt out, since they’re protected by GDPR laws. Generative AI has become so front-and-center on Meta’s apps that artists reached their breaking point.
“When you put [AI] so much in their face, and then give them the option to opt out, but then increase the friction to opt out… I think that increases their anger level — like, okay now I’ve really had enough,” Jingna Zhang, a renowned photographer and founder of Cara, told TechCrunch.
Cara, which has both a web and mobile app, is like a combination of Instagram and X, but built specifically for artists. On your profile, you can host a portfolio of work, but you can also post updates to your feed like any other microblogging site.
Zhang is perfectly positioned to helm an artist-centric social network, where they can post without the risk of becoming part of a training dataset for AI. Zhang has fought on behalf of artists, recently winning an appeal in a Luxembourg court over a painter who copied one of her photographs, which she shot for Harper’s Bazaar Vietnam.
“Using a different medium was irrelevant. My work being ‘available online’ was irrelevant. Consent was necessary,” Zhang wrote on X.
Zhang and three other artists are also suing Google for allegedly using their copyrighted work to train Imagen, an AI image generator. She’s also a plaintiff in a similar lawsuit against Stability AI, Midjourney, DeviantArt and Runway AI.
“Words can’t describe how dehumanizing it is to see my name used 20,000+ times in MidJourney,” she wrote in an Instagram post. “My life’s work and who I am—reduced to meaningless fodder for a commercial image slot machine.”
Artists are so resistant to AI because the training data behind many of these image generators includes their work without their consent. These models amass such a large swath of artwork by scraping the internet for images, without regard for whether or not those images are copyrighted. It’s a slap in the face for artists – not only are their jobs endangered by AI, but that same AI is often powered by their work.
“When it comes to art, unfortunately, we just come from a fundamentally different perspective and point of view, because on the tech side, you have this strong history of open source, and people are just thinking like, well, you put it out there, so it’s for people to use,” Zhang said. “For artists, it’s a part of our selves and our identity. I would not want my best friend to make a manipulation of my work without asking me. There’s a nuance to how we see things, but I don’t think people understand that the art we do is not a product.”
This commitment to protecting artists from copyright infringement extends to Cara, which partners with the University of Chicago’s Glaze project. By using Glaze, artists who manually apply Glaze to their work on Cara have an added layer of protection against being scraped for AI.
Other projects have also stepped up to defend artists. Spawning AI, an artist-led company, has created an API that allows artists to remove their work from popular datasets. But that opt-out only works if the companies that use those datasets honor artists’ requests. So far, HuggingFace and Stability have agreed to respect Spawning’s Do Not Train registry, but artists’ work cannot be retroactively removed from models that have already been trained.
“I think there is this clash between backgrounds and expectations on what we put on the internet,” Zhang said. “For artists, we want to share our work with the world. We put it online, and we don’t charge people to view this piece of work, but it doesn’t mean that we give up our copyright, or any ownership of our work.”"

on the topic of writing software
I want to ramble at you about some writing software options. 98% of the time I'm perfectly content with LibreOffice Writer (and previously I used Word, back when Microsoft products were less shitty). But every now and then when I have a new project (like now - more on that later) I start looking for something shiny and new to try. And I fell down into another research rabbit hole lol
I usually don't talk a lot about this bc my needs are very simple, and not sure how useful my opinion is to others, but I enjoy the topic. It's an intersection of creative writing and tech nerdiness and I like both of those things. Also what writing software you prefer really depends on the type of writer that you are, and everyone has a slightly different writing process and I find that fascinating.
Now, as I said, I'm coming at it from a slightly tech-nerd angle. I don't care if the installation is clunky, I'm happy to see the words open-source, and the need to create an account will already mildly piss me off (:
Don't worry, I'm not as intense as the guy writing his novel in Vim. Though fucking respect. And I can't say I'm not tempted to try it even with the steep learning curve lmao (Seriously, if you don't know Vim is notorious among software developers.)
Anyway, things I've tried so far:
Manuskript: this was listed as an open-source Scrivener alternative (though I haven't tried Scrivener. so.). I gave it a go when I was writing heart worth the trouble and it was pretty nice. It helped me when I had to move scenes and chapters around. But overall I think it was made with plotters in mind bc it wants you to enter a lot of information upfront. I'm not a planner/architect type of writer so this type of software is a bit overwhelming for me. Still, the fact that it's open source and works on Linux gets kudos from me.
Wavemaker: I recently played around with this, and I actually surprisingly like the features it has. You can put multiple books in a project, which is very nice if you like to work on different things, like fanfic, novels, etc. The mindmap is a feature I liked, though it's a bit clunky bc it collapses the text fields when you exit, and once I added an image field by accident that I could never remove lol I do like a bit of a snowflake method, so that feature is cool, and the cards are pretty straightforward too. Usually, my problem with these apps is that I don't even want to touch half of the features so they are pointless to me, but the features of Wavemaker were kind of nice. It's a web app that you can download and use offline but it's still working from your browser if that makes sense. That was what I didn't really appreciate. Also, it doesn't give you a lot of options to back it up. You either save the wavemaker file, export it into a document (which is fine, but it adds an extra step to the backup process) or you sync with Google Drive *shudders*
Things I want to try out:
Calmly Writer: now this is just purely a text editor that focuses on being very zen, streamlined, distraction-free, etc. It's pretty and it has typewriter sounds. (Yeah, I'm not immune to a pretty UI and harmless fun features alright? I can contain multitudes :P) It has an online version, but you can also download it, and works on Windows, Mac, and Linux. On paper, the desktop app requires a license, but the way they put it is that you can evaluate it for free and the evaluation doesn't have an enforced time limit... So. As good as free. (Though if I really like it, I would totally consider buying a license for 20usd that I can use on 3 computers, that seems fair. I appreciate a license over a subscription model for sure.) Honestly, I think this is the one I'm going to try next bc it just integrates perfectly into my writing process. That being: a multitude of messy, hand-written notes and notebooks + a document editor + backups on hard drive and GitHub (yes, really) ^^"
Shaxpir: This is on the opposite end of the spectrum basically, but out of the "fancy" ones, I kind of like the look of this the most. I like the statistics part in particular. But honestly, I probably won't try it bc it doesn't have a Linux version which would be a pain in the ass for me, and is cloud-based. I kind of don't really trust them, which is my biggest issue with these companies. (Although the creator's heart seems to be in the right place when it comes to AI. Basically, some of their features are based on machine learning and language models. For example, it will recognize passive voice, if it's an adverb with "-ly" or the emotion of a word. Which I think is all cool and fine and shouldn't be lumped in with generative AI. But he also had a website that did this analysis for already published works, and when people pointed out that it was sketchy, he took that down and I can respect that. I'm not sure how much it influenced the actual features of the app, maybe I'll just take a peek out of curiosity. The whole thing does make me have trust issues though lmao) If anyone has experience with it though, I'm interested to hear about it.
Obsidian: not a dedicated writing software, but rather an elaborate note-taking app. I heard good things about it from smart people lol If I really wanted to access my writing on my phone, I would probably use this bc it works on every platform and has end-to-end encrypted sync with version control. I heard you can also integrate it with GitHub which is always music to my ears lol But the setup probably takes a bit of time and I'm not particularly motivated to do that right now.
So yeah, those are the options that appeal to me right now. If anyone used these and has opinions, I'm all ears :D

Hi! How you doing the combination in the titles? Can you do a tutorial please! Thanks!
Hello @elvisbdoll 🫶🏻
~ Firstly, I'll share the link from where I learnt to do that. It is explained in a very easy and short way here.
~ You need to use Tumblr web on your phone or laptop for this idk why it doesn't work on the app.
~ I'll also explain below in my own detailed way, hoping that this becomes easy for anyone who follows my posts and wants to know how I do it😁
Tumblr media
• Website for the Gradient Text :
TEXT COLOR FADER
Tumblr media
• Detailed process of how I use customised gradient text on Tumblr :
( Pay attention to the colors that I have used in the steps as well as the screenshots to understand better. The markings on the photos are to make it easier to spot what I'm talking about. )
.
1. Create a post on Tumblr by writing the text you want to make a gradient of and save it as a draft. In the draft → Go to the Settings wheel and in the Text Editor section select HTML which is required by Tumblr to read a coded* text.
* ( The colors of the Gradient text are basically coded into text on the Website I shared above. Hence, changing into the HTML type here will help Tumblr recognise that coded text and turn it into a normal Gradient colored text. )
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
2. You will see a coded version of the text you wrote which is encoded between <h1>...your text...</h1> for my text in the photo below. You can toggle between HTML & Preview to see the coded and uncoded(normal) version of the text. Copy the normal version of the text from the Preview mode that you want to turn into gradient.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
3. Visit the Website in the link I've shared above.
.
A: is the part where you paste the text you just copied and want to change into a Gradient.
B: is the number of colors you want to use in the gradient.
C: is the part where you put the color codes (HEX/RGB) or just swipe to get the desired color from the color wheel.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
4. I pasted the text in the text box and made the changes that I need to do to get the gradient I want in the next part. I used 4 colors and put the Hex codes for the Teal and Beige colors. Once you're done click on "Generate Color Coded Text"
Tumblr media Tumblr media
5. On the next page you'll get to see a preview of the text and the coded text in the box below. Click on Select All and Copy the coded text.
If you want to make any changes you can go back by clicking on "Create a new fade" and you will be taken back to edit the current gradient.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
6. Go to the draft and delete the existing text to avoid mixing the coded text with it. Stay on the HTML mode rather than Preview mode.
Paste the coded text while you're on the HTML mode of the draft (the codes are really long depending on the number of colors and length of the text)
After pasting in HTML mode click on Preview and you're DONE.
Other than that you can edit the text style after pasting here into the basic styles provided by Tumblr — bold, italic, Chat, Intended, etc.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Final Result : How to make Gradient Text on Tumblr ?
Tumblr media
I hope this was helpful😭 I love editing the text and making it match my dividers, so this is magic for me. You can DM me if you need any more help understanding this.
Thank You❤️

🎧A Guide to the TGCF Audio Drama🎭
With the release of the new season of the fabulous TGCF audio drama, I wanted to make an updated guide on how to make an account, purchase, and listen (with English subs) to it! Hopefully, this will help more people enjoy it and join in on the fun!
As a quick reminder, the audio drama is based on the revised version of the novel! It's a very faithful adaptation, but if you're a new fan, that might throw you for a loop! If you need an overview of the different versions of TGCF, check out this post first!
Part One: Making an Account & Purchasing
The process is a lot easier than you may expect! The site where the audio drama is hosted is "missevan.com," also known as "MaoerFM." They are one and the same!
Check out these infographics to create an account and buy the audio drama. (Due to tumblr compression, they may be difficult to read. If this is the case, please view these images in full-screen and preferably on a web browser for best quality!)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
General Info:
It costs 319 diamonds for the first season, and 359 diamonds for the second season of the TGCF audio drama. This was less than $5 USD, for each season. Future seasons will likely be similarly priced.
Episodes typically release weekly. Mini-episodes/bonus content releases intermittently, and often continues after the main season "ends."
This guide will work for any other audio dramas you want to purchase and support (such as MDZS)! They obviously have different costs, but the process of buying is pretty much the same.
Account/Registration Info:
If you do not see your country/region code listed when making an account, it is unfortunately unavailable there. I do not know any workarounds at the moment, apart from asking a friend/relative in a different country to help you out! If anyone does know other options, please let me know!
Step One of the guide is technically optional, as logging in on the app for the first time will automatically create a new account, if there’s not already one associated with your mobile phone number. I recommend doing that step anyway, as it will ensure that you have a password linked to your account. Several people in the past have reported that they sometimes cannot receive the verification code to log in. (Especially from South America and SEA for some reason.) Having a password bypasses this, if it happens to you.
Unfortunately, it seems that you MUST register with a mobile number to begin with.
Otherwise, you can use an existing Bilibili/QQ/WeChat/Weibo account if you have it. They all require a number for registration too, as far as I know, so you may run into the same problem. They may still be worth trying if you have no other options! Once again, if anyone is aware of other workarounds, do let me know.
Additionally, it’s possible to link your account to an email AFTER you register with a mobile number. (There’s no escaping that, from what I can tell.) You can then use that to log in.
It seems useful to have your email and a password associated with your account, especially in case your country code gets nixed from availability -- which has been known to happen without warning in the past.
The mobile browser seems to prefer you log in with a number/email and a password, rather than a verification code.
LINKING AN E-MAIL TO YOUR ACCOUNT (Optional)
This must be done via web browser, or with your mobile browser set to desktop mode. It’s VERY easy if you use a browser with an auto-translate feature like Google Chrome:
(These images are the MTL translated versions!)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Unfortunately yes, you will need to receive a verification code via mobile number to enable this. The second verification code gets sent to your email, though! (Try not to lose your password, because I'm pretty sure you'll still have to use your phone to verify and change it.) Don't forget to check your spam folder if you don't see it. It will be from "猫耳FM."
Once again, this is optional! I just wanted to include it as an extra avenue for people who may struggle with the verification codes, as they can be finicky. And it happened to me while I was making this section, so I knew I had to....
Part Two: How to Enable English Subtitles
First things first: there are no official English subs for the TGCF Audio Drama. Though I'm fairly sure this applies to all dramas on MaoerFM.
However, there are Chinese (Simplified) subs for each episode.
OPTION ONE: MTL
The main method that non-Chinese speakers have been using to understand the Audio Drama is via MTL (machine translation) on those subs! Browsers like Google Chrome not only have auto-translate, but it works in real time as you watch/listen to the episode.
Make sure that it's turned on and that you've selected English -- or your preferred output language!
Tumblr media
Be aware there are TWO types of subtitles on MaoerFM. There are the official subs, and the temporary subs.
At the bottom of the audio player, there is a button labelled "字幕," which is circled in purple in the image below. If it is there, it means that episode has official subs available, and you can toggle them on/off. Meanwhile, the "弹" that the green arrow is pointing to is known as the "barrage." That's the scrolling text that you will see filling the screen. It's other fans screaming and crying in chat. You can turn it off if it feels overwhelming!
Tumblr media
New episodes may take anywhere from a few hours to a day or two to be officially subtitled. (The bonus episodes don't have official subs for whatever reason.) In the meantime, there will be subtitlers working on adding temporary subs! I'd advise waiting a little while before listening to a new episode so they have more time to work, and you'll have better coverage!
While official subs are entirely separate, the temporary subs are part of the barrage. So you will have to keep the barrage turned on. (Notice how there is no "字幕" button next to it yet!) Unlike the rest of the barrage, the subs will be stationary, color-coded, and at the very bottom of the window -- so they're easy to differentiate.
Tumblr media
However, since the barrage can be a lot if you aren't used to it, there is a way around it.
Hit the settings menu (blue circle) and block the scrolling comments. You can also turn off the top ones, but just make sure not to turn off the bottom ones -- because those are the subs!
Tumblr media
DO NOTE that this all works best on desktop! If everything's gone correctly, you should have something like these:
Right -- regular view, temporary subs Left -- full-screen, official subs
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It's possible to get this to work on mobile if you enable desktop mode in your Chrome app. You will probably need to refresh a few times after that, or open the page in a new tab to have it work properly. Then it's the same steps as above!
You should have something like these:
Right -- landscape mode Left -- portrait mode
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The scaling on mobile can be troublesome, and I have noticed that the auto-translate is slower than on desktop. It seems to take an extra second or two to work on each line -- whereas on desktop it's pretty instant -- and that can get annoying, especially in fast-paced scenes.
Additional Info:
This does not work for the mobile app! It is for the website ONLY!
If the translation stops working, refreshing usually fixes it.
There are potentially other options to using Chrome. Any browser that has an auto-translate will work, assuming it's as quick as Chrome's. If anyone has tried other browsers and seen success, please leave a reply!
OPTION TWO: FANSUBS
TreasureChestSubs here on tumblr have been doing high-quality fansubs for several audio dramas, including TGCF as of recently! However, at the time of making this guide, their TGCF translations currently only cover the first few episodes of season one. You will need to request an invite to their Discord server via the form in their posts. Please do check them out if you're interested.
I don't personally know of any other fansubbers who are actively working on the audio drama right now. But I do want to mention that Xyra_Rei on twitter has a Discord server where they share some translated snippets from various episodes. There are other great resources by fellow fans, too. Links and more info about the server can be found in the pinned post on their profile!
Part Three: Enjoy!!!
I hope this updated guide helps more people experience the wonder that is the TGCF audio drama (or really, any audio drama)! I cannot overstate how good it is in every aspect, and I think every TGCF fan deserves to be able to hear it for themselves! 💖

hello, hello.
i've been debating making this post, but i’ve been thinking a lot about how my work often references God, religion, faith in general, and all the things in between. as someone raised in both the south and caribbean culture, i thought maybe this could be helpful for others trying to navigate queerness and religion—especially the mess and clarity that come with deconstruction.
note: this isn’t meant to tell anyone how to feel about faith or how to navigate their own path—this is just what’s been true for me. if it helps even one person feel a little less alone or a little more seen, then that’s enough. read with grace, take what you need, and leave the rest behind.
for a long time, i aimed to be good. good at school. good to people even when it meant letting them take advantage of me. i convinced myself that as long as i was pure, i would be okay. that it was that simple, and that somehow, i’d figured it out before anyone else. but i didn’t account for anger. or desire. or being a lesbian. what did lana say in that one song? “we had a deal and i fucked it up when / i made the decision to become someone.” so here's a little of my survival guide. for context, i was raised roman catholic.
first comes the work of reshaping the imagery. i released the God of my childhood and awakened the God of my womanhood. i began to replace “him” with “her,” then “Him” with “Her.” i already know some might see that as blasphemous, but it made praying easier which was something i wasn’t ready to lose. the universe is God to me. the universe is love, and so is God, and so i trust Her. She is Him, and He is Her. the universe, to me, can also be a woman who has big eyes and a dark face and makes me feel like i might be staring into myself. it’s easier to come back to God when i picture it differently. when i strip the man to the bone and rebuild into the woman i see, it’s so much easier to pray. she feels like my mother.
"offline or online, i am still connected." i think that’s how i feel about faith; i’m still connected to believing in something. it’s just that what i believe has changed and expanded. it doesn’t harm me. it helps me return to myself and shows me the way home. it’s easier to pray to Mary when i’m scared on a plane, to tell her that i know i’ll make it through because she wouldn’t place me in something i could not get through.
an altar can be anywhere. i used to feel guilty about not having a bible verse in my bio or the bible app on my phone. but i don’t need those things to make my prayer real. you don’t either. your love will pour out and stain the feet of the God before you, and They will wipe your mouth. They will understand that it’s prayer.
physicality. this was important to me when i was unpacking the feeling of being wrong or impure. if the universe condensed into one person, i’d ask her to lie down with me. we’d be pressed knee to knee and leg to leg. i’d think of her hips on top of mine, wide and inviting like the moon. i guess we are naked if i take a step back, but it’s not at all sexual. it’s just the understanding that she is holding me. babying me. and i’ve always wanted someone to. i will feel her touch me, and i’ll try to say thank you, because gratitude has been engraved in me. my mouth will move and nothing will come out, but she'll hear me.
the talking can be constant if you need it to be. i’m always speaking to God, about God, my understanding of it. it’s not organized. i haven’t constructed anything bigger than myself. restructuring kind of feels like waking up tangled in a spider’s web and standing carefully, your feet sticky as you navigate the threads. i took care not to break some of them but snapped others, creating space for new weaving. God becomes synonymous with the world, and you will find faith everywhere.
others may judge, but stick to what works for you.
another realization: it never really leaves you, and that’s fine. it’s also fine if you want to hold on.
sometimes faith blends. i work with water and have my crystals, listen to protection frequencies, and still buy my virgin Mary candle in all of its pink and radiant glory to light in the bathroom. i pray every time i board a plane, after a nightmare, or whenever a wave of unease hits. each time, it’s a Hail Mary.
also: resources. my God, find people who interpret with grace. below are some of my favorite blogs.

web of wyrd: how to break free from the 9 romance blocker
i would say there are four energetic blockers that really struggle when it comes to love... undoubtedly i would say 9 - hermit is the most difficult... so let's talk about how we can break free from the hermit karmic tale...
paid reading options: astrology menu & cartomancy menu
enjoy my work? help me continue creating by tipping on ko-fi or paypal. your support keeps the magic alive!
Tumblr media
reflect on yourself/situation: are there fears, past wounds, or beliefs that hold you back from love? i will personally never forget my therapist stating to me that i am afraid to live large and that's what keeps me isolated...
learn to balance solitude with openness: too much isolation can make love feel unattainable. try gently stepping out of your comfort zone - whether through social activities, dating apps, or saying "yes" more often to new experiences. know that it's okay to take time to yourself to "recharge your social battery" but remember that no battery is meant to charge 24/7 - it'll burn itself out.
shine a light on your social life: start with small steps. say "yes" to invitations, even if they don’t seem "perfect fit" events. be open to trying new activities or hobbies that naturally bring you around others.
put yourself in romantic situations: try dating apps if you’re open to them, but don’t rely on them alone. again go out more - coffee shops, bookstores, events - places where chance encounters can happen. or let your friends know you’re open to being set up.
shift from overthinking to doing: this could mean flirting more, even casually. initiating conversations instead of waiting for others (you aren't a burden because you reached out first).

Hello!!!
I love your works, would be able to do a suegiku x gn!reader?
I adored your headcanons and would love to see jouno and Tecchou interact with the reader based on your writing
Tysm!! <3
Interactions between you, Saigiku Jouno and Tetchou Suehiro
Self-Aware! Saigiku Jouno x GN! Reader x Self-Aware! Tetchou Suehiro
Tumblr media
Tumblr media
Description: Some general headcannons about relationship between you three.
Warning: OOC, English is my second language. Some slight spoilers.
_______
💧🌸 At first, there would be some tension between you, Jouno and Tetchy. Not only because of the "Fictional characters turn out to be real,l and they heard everything I think about them, and they are aware about fandom" factor. This tension almost exclusively came from the Hunting Dogs duo.
💧🌸 Hunting Dogs, Sigma and Bram did appear later, than other characters, it's a fact. And, after they gained self-awareness and joined the rest of the Cast, the inner nervousness appeared. They are afraid, that you won't have a good opinion about them. They don't have too many scenes for you to form a 'stable' opinion. Moreover, most of them, except Sigma, "hurt" your established favorite characters. Yes, they could flood your Mayoi Account with cards and presents, but it will be just a part of a casual app game. Not something from the cannon. They will remain nervous until they get to the Real World.
💧🌸 So first interactions between you, Tetchou and Jouno were awkward. You weren't sure, how to interact with anyone from BSD Cast, too nervous of saying something wrong, and Hunting Dogs duo were dreadfully waiting for a moment you lash out at them for hunting ADA (and, in case of Jouno, arresting Dazai).
💧🌸 It will take some time. Small steps. At first, all of you will have small talks during dinners, discussing your days or last news. Then you will start hanging out (joining Hunting Dogs' morning training). At the end, when you three felt comfortable in confessing your fears to each other, you three will become closer.
🌸 It's on you and Jouno not to let Tetchou go to the kitchen unsupervised. Yes, he can eat whatever he wants, but, sometimes, he wants to share food he made with others. And not everyone can refuse. So, no sole trips to the kitchen for you, Tetchou.
💧 Jouno became an expert in Real World Music. He found liking in wearing headphones and listening to whatever he could find in the web. Quite often you and him can be found snuggling under the blanket, listening music/audiobooks/podcasts.
🌸 Tetchou decided to protect you from in-person scamming attempts. His glare can make scammers reconsider their actions. In some cases, they would even confess their crimes.
💧Jouno wants to try all existing hobbies. During the weekend, he and you (and, sometimes, someone else) will try to do different things. He tried knitting, sewing, painting, sculpture, gardening and aren't planning to stop.
🌸 Tetchou, after he learned about what would happen, if they gained self-awareness later (a.k.a. his fight with Kenji), felt guilty and decided to apologize to you and Kenji. There were no hard feelings between you three, so, you at the end you three decided to hang out together.
💧Jouno got into trouble with Bram and Kunikida after the chapter with him scaring Aya was released. You had to hide him in your room. At the end, everyone calmed down, but, sometimes, Bram and Kunikida gave Jouno heavy glares.
🌸💧 Tetchou tried to create a training regiment for you. However, he can't understand, that there is difference between normal people and super soldier. Jouno is making sure that Tetchou is keeping in mind the difference, while training with you.
🌸💧 Jouno and Tetchou start liking trashy comedies and over the top action movies. They like discussing them while watching. Their comments make it a worthwhile experience.
🌸💧 These two are terrible with understanding modern memes. So you often have to explain them slang.
🌸 When you are sad, Tetchou will be more of a "talk to me" guy. He will listen to your problems, offering advices or just singing you praises.
💧 When you are sad, Jouno will keep you company, not saying a word. He might start trash-talking about people who upset you.
💧🌸 They are polar opposites. But, they have something in common. They like you and want to be close to you.

Plumfruit is Back! Arnie, a modder for The Sims 4, released his Plumfruit mod. The mod was a revamp of the existing cell phone in the game and had some new features as well. The original mod was already quite impressive but he’s revamped it, adding more functional objects, more apps, and more ways to enjoy a high-tech lifestyle in The Sims 4.
Tumblr media
Introducing Plumfruit Essentials!
Hey friends,
Yesterday I announced The Plumfruit Collection and two new mod kits, Retrofruit and Plumfruit Essentials. You can watch the trailer here on my YouTube channel, and read the full post announcement here!
Today is my brithday and my gift to you is the release of Plumfruit Essentials!! 🥳 This is the first mod kit from the Plumfruit Collection, which will expand in the future with new releases!
Tumblr media
Say hello to Plumfruit Essentials, a brand new mod kit featuring some of your favourite Plumfruit device types: phone, tablets, computers, and more! This mod kit is kind of a reimagining of Plumfruit Lite, a mod kit with more simple items I released just before I stepped away from Sims modding three years ago. But everything here is brand new: simpler code, better stability, and better design than ever before!
What’s included?
📱 PlumPhone Air – A stylish new phone replacement with a custom animated screen and PlumfruitOS visuals. For now, it’s available in one swatch: Titanium, and this is just the first of a new generation of Plumfruit phones.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
There are also new app icons I designed for your UI Phone, that match the interactions and categories! Now please be careful: the PlumPhone Air and the new app icons are overriding some of the game's items, interactions and categories! Any other mod overriding the phone will conflict!
Tumblr media
💻 PlumPad Air & PlumPad Mini – These elegant tablets come with a completely overhauled interaction menu, now sorted into apps with all-new icons for easier accessibility, similar to what I’ve done with CheatsMaster and Luminova. These icons will be shared across all Plumfruit devices (and the next Luminova update too!)
Tumblr media
🖥️ iPlum Air & PlumBook Air – A futuristic all-in-one desktop and a sleek laptop companion. Both come with 15 beautiful wallpapers, a minimalist black-screen swatch, and new apps like Mail, Web Explorer, Notes, and more.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
🔊 PlumPod Max & PlumPod Mini – These are for all the music lovers out there! Great sound quality, colourful swatches, animated screens, smart home features (compatible with Luminova), and access to Plumfruit’s virtual assistant, Neo.
Tumblr media
If you have my Luminova Mod Kit installed, there are already some features that are cross-comptaible, and there will be soon another update expanding the features!
🎧 PlumBuds – A stylish replacement for the EarBuds from the Fitness Stuff Pack – required for them to show up and work! With an overhauled menu and custom icons for a smoother, more modern feel. (This is also an override and it will conflict with any other mod replacing the EarBuds!)
📸 PlumCam Future – A high-end camera with three lenses and a massive touchscreen at the back. It works just like the in-game HD cameras, but with an updated futuristic design (perfect to take pictures to store on Retrofruit storage units when it comes out!)
Tumblr media
📺 PlumTV – Running PlumfruitOS (just like the Luminova Smart TV), this new TV features rounded corners, a selection of new screensavers, and sleek modern lines.
Tumblr media
You can also use the animated TV Backlight from Luminova with this new TV!
----------------------------
Plumfruit Essentials is now available to download on the new ✦ Early Access ✦ Page!
Plumfruit Essentials is available as early access for Patreon paid Members, but it will be available publicly and free for all in just one week! I didn’t want to do a full 2–3 week early access with this one, since it’s kind of reviving a mod I’ve created before, even though every item is completely new. But I still wanted to thank and reward my Patreon supporters, so I thought this was a fair way to do it.

Pinterest Boards as Spellcasting Tools / Spell Jars
The main thing to note is that Pinterest has images for basically any tool and ingredient to some degree. Need a ghost pepper? They got pictures. Need canola oil? They got pictures. Need peacock feathers? They got pictures! It's got pictures of ingredients that are hard to acquire, be it due to cost, being out of season, not available in your local area, etc. As witches, we should all be able to adjust our practice to what is available to us, but Pinterest can also work for this.
Okay, how does one do this?
This step is up to your debate, but either make a Pinterest board to serve as a grand shelf of sections for your digital spell jars, or make a board per spell. I prefer the former, personally.
Name your board/section what you want it to do - One I have is named "stay the frick away", to serve as a warding spell jar. It looks like this:
Tumblr media
I have black pepper, peacock feathers, olive oil, and ghost peppers in there. The oil contains it all, while the other objects are there for keeping away and warding.
One could also make sigils and upload them to Pinterest if you're comfortable with them being seen/used/saved by others, though I believe there's a way to private pins by only uploading them to secret boards? I don't upload to Pinterest myself, so... I dunno on that one.
What do we do with the board once it's done?
Few suggestions: Say an activation prayer/invocation above it, keep it open on a background app on your phone, keep the board open in a background page on your PC or phone web browser.
If you want to be a bit more ritualistic, you can add candles and/or incense burning videos to the board, before deleting them or exchanging them with melted candles or pictures of ash to represent them having burned down. This is to act out the process of adding power into the spell jar/board.
I prefer the first one, I believe that if I say that it is now active, it being on my Pinterest account makes it active to me for essentially ever until the section is deleted or I say a deactivation prayer/invocation, much like how a spell jar is active until it runs out of juice or is dismantled. But by keeping the app/browser page open, that'd also work for keeping it on your person.
You could also use the images from the board to make a collage that you then print, but that kinda steps a bit away from the purely technowitchcraft aspect.
What about the fact spell jars run out of juice and stop working eventually?
One could remake the board, add more of the same ingredients to the board, or re-pray/invocate an activation over it. I suggest the first one, because the ingredients will run out eventually, and making a new board with intent appears to be the most potent.
If you want to be a bit more ritualistic still, you can repeat the candle/incense trick. This is to act out the process of adding in more power, so they have the ability to continue their job.
One could also just move onto the next step if the spell board did its job.
How does one deactivate it?
Either delete the board/section, or say a deactivation prayer. Deleting the board is more like dismantling, and if you want to do it with a bit more intent, slowly delete every pin or move them into the greater board if you're using sections as an "ingredient" board. Deactivation allows you to keep the board for the future, but this might not fit your preferences.
As always I provide my suggestion, which is to slowly dismantle the board and ultimately delete the section. If I need the jar still, I just re-create it afterwards.
Conclusion
If you'd like, order them in a way that feels right for the board - Such as bowls for money bowls as the bottom-most image, to "hold" all the other items.
Technowitchcraft is great for many reasons, including the cost effectiveness, versatility, and ease of access. So I wanted to contribute to the process a bit, by making this.
Happy casting!

Re: 8tracks
HUGE UPDATE:
As I said on my earlier post today the CTO of 8tracks answered some questions on the discord server of mixer.fm
IF YOU'RE INTERESTED IN INFORMATION ABOUT 8TRACKS AND THE ANSWERS THE CTO OF 8TRACKS GAVE, PLEASE, KEEP READING THIS POST BECAUSE IT'S A LOT BUT YOU WON'T REGRET IT.
Okay, so he first talked about how they were involved in buying 8tracks, then how everything failed because of money and issues with the plataform then he talked about this new app called MixerFM they developed that works with web3 (8tracks is a web2 product), that if they get to launch it they'll get to launch 8tracks too because both apps will work with the same data.
Here is what they have already done in his own words:
*Built a multitenant backend system that supports both MIXER and 8tracks
*Fully rebuilt the 8tracks web app
*Fixed almost all legacy issues
*Developed iOS and Android apps for MIXER
What is next?
They need to migrate the 8tracks database from the old servers to the new environment. That final step costs about $50,000 and on his own words "I am personally committed to securing the funds to make it happen. If we pull this off since there is a time limit , we will have an chance to launch both 8tracks and MIXER. … so for all you community members that are pinging me to provide more details on X and here on discord, here it is"
Here the screenshots of his full statement:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
NOW THE QUESTIONS HE ANSWERED:
*I transcribed them*
1. "What's the status of the founding right now?"
"Fundraising, for music its difficult"
2. "Our past data, is intact, isn't?"
"All data still exists from playlist 1"
3. "Will we be able to access our old playlists?"
"All playlists if we migrate the data will be saved. If we dont all is lost forever"
4. "How will the new 8tracks relaunch and MIXER be similar, and how will they be different?"
"8tracks / human created / mix tape style as it was before
mixer - ai asiated mix creation, music quest where people earn crypto for work they provode to music protocol ( solve quests earn money for providing that service )"
5. "Why is 8tracks being relaunched when they could just launch MIXER with our 8tracks database?"
"One app is web2 ( no crypto economy and incentives / ) mixer is web3 ( economy value exchange between users, artists, publishers, labels, advertisers) value (money) is shared between stakeholders and participants of app. Company earns less / users / artist earn more."
6. "Will we need to create a separate account for mixer? Or maybe a way to link our 8tracks to mixer?"
"New account no linking planned"
7. "What do you mean by fixed almost all legacy issues and fully rebuilt the 8tracks web app?"
"We have rebuilt most of 8tracks from scratch i wish could screen record a demo. In Last year we have rebuilt whole 8tracks ! No more issues no more bugs no more hacked comments"
8. "Will the song database be current and allow new songs? For example if someone makes a K pop playlist theres the capability for new songs and old not just all songs are from 2012. There will be songs from 2020 onwards to today?"
"Current cut of date is 2017, we have planed direct label deals to bring music DB up to speed with all new songs until 2025. This means no more song uploads"
9. "The apps would be available for android and outside USA?"
"USA + Canada + Germany + UK + Sweden + Italy + Greece + Portugal + Croatia in my personal rollout plan / but usa canada croatia would be top priority"
10. "Will 8tracks have a Sign in with Apple option?"
"It will have nothing if we don’t migrate the database but yes if we do it will have it"
11. ""Will Collections return?"
"Ofc If we save the database its safe to assume collections will return"
12. "Will the 8tracks forums return?"
"No that one i will deleted People spending too much time online"
13. "No more songs uploads forever or no more songs until…?"
"Idk, this really depends on do we save database or no. Maybe we restart the process of song uploads to rebuild the and create a worlds first open music database If anyone has any songs to upload that is
We operate under different license"
14. "What is your time limit? for the funding, I mean"
"Good question I think 2-3 months"
15. "From now?"
"Correct"
16. "When is the release date for Mixer?"
"Mixer would need 2-3 more months of work to be released Maybe even less of we would use external database services and just go with minimum features"
17. "Do you have the link for it?"
"Not if we dont secure the database that is number one priority"
*That was the end of the questions and answers*
Then he said:
"You need to act bring here (discord) people and help me set up go fund me camping of investor talks fail so we secure the database and migrate data so we can figure out whats next"
He also said he'll talk with the CEO about buying him the idea of community funding, that all who participate should have a lifetime subscription and "some more special thing", we suggested a message on the 8tracks official accounts (twitter, their blog, tumblr) and he was okay with the idea but he said they need to plan it carefully since the time is limited.
Okay, guys, that's so far what he said, I hope this information helps anyone, I don't know if they get to do a community funding but take in consideration it's a plausible option and that what they want from us is to participate in any way like for example spreading the message, if most people know about it the best, they also want you to join their server so here's the link to the website of mixerfm and where you can join the server:
Keep tagging few people who were discussing about this:
@junket-bank, @haorev, @americanundead, @eatpandulce, @throwupgirl, @avoid-avoidance, @rodeokid, @shehungthemoon, @promostuff-art @tumbling-and-tchaikovsky

How to change text colour?
here you go !
• first use this site to get your hex codes !
• then use this site to do the following:
- step 1: enter the text you want in the box
- step 2: select the color effect you want ( i use the “three colored gradient” )
- step 3: enter your hex codes ( depending on the color effect you chose, you may need a different number of hex codes )
Tumblr media
- step 4: copy the HTML code ( the second box NOT the BBcode )
Tumblr media
• after that, open tumblr ( this only works on the web version NOT the app & i recommend doing it on a computer, simply because i find it easier ! )
• go to your draft ( or i recommend creating a new draft specific for the gradient ) and :
- click settings and scroll until “text editor” then switch to HTML
Tumblr media
- then paste your copied HTML code and save
• it should result in looking like this:
Tumblr media
• and that’s it ! if you directly added the code into an already established draft, you will need to reorganize your images, but if you created a new draft for the code, just “edit” the text draft and copy and paste the text into the correct draft !
• hope that helps !!

Essential Elements of an Unlimited/Infinite Flow Story
As someone attempting to write my own Unli Flow, I thought I’d take note of the different elements so I can have a guide I can always refer back to.
I’ve explained what Unli Flow means many times before, but in case you missed it: Unlimited/Infinite Flow is a genre in Chinese web novels that feature characters entering multiple “instances” where they have to complete a challenge and/or solve a mystery. Failure in doing so would lead to consequences, most often death.
There’s also this definition by AshuraYami from the NovelUpdates Forum:
Unlimited Flow/Infinite Flow is a genre originating from the CN novel Terror Infinity. The genre mainly revolves on world hopping involving fictional works (anime, comics, movies, games and novels) and/or original worlds created by the author. Infinite Flow, as it’s ‘infinite’ namesake suggests, can accommodate all other genres, be it fantasy, sci-fi, horror, romance, etc. Representative works are Terror Infinity (origin of genre), Reincarnation Paradise (most chapters and word count), The Ultimate Evolution (promoter of data flow, an infinite flow derivative that is more game-like litRPG) and Thriller Paradise (most famous horror infinite flow).
With the definition out of the way, let’s goooo
[This post will also serve as a rec list of sorts, since I’ll be giving examples of each element from different danmei novels.]
----------
1. The Authority
The entity/system in charge of the Unlimited Flow system as a whole. Most stories just chalk it up to the Unli Flow being some kind of otherworldly being/extremely advanced AI that just likes to mess with people.
Examples of The Authority
(based on what I remember, at least… Also, beware of spoilers)
The Earth is Online: The Universe
Mist: I forgot what it’s called, but that high tech system in charge of all the Time Traveling stuff...
High Energy QR Code: That black and white cube thing
Surprise! The Supposed Talent Show was Actually—?!: … The TV station...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
From left to right: Tang Mo from The Earth is Online and Wu Jin and Wei Shi from Surprise! The Supposed Talent Show was Actually—?!
[Spoilers End]
From having read numerous Unli Flow stories, I conclude that crucial to a great, not just good, Unli Flow story is a well-defined Authority. The explanation behind the Authority’s existence and motives is the foundation to the entire story.
You can have a very fancy building (cool instances, well-developed characters, an exciting enemies to lovers couple, etc.), but if the foundation is flimsy, the building’s value would plummet in your eyes. You can still appreciate the building, of course, but you will never be content with it.
Examples of some novels that are good in almost everything else except The Authority (in my opinion): [spoilery]
Supernatural Movie Actor App: It was too profound with not enough groundwork laid for it, resulting in The Authority feeling detached from the main story.
I Upended Yet Another Campus Urban Legend: The Authority was not exactly bad; it was just inadequate. The justification of the Unli Flow existing became unconvincing because of this.
Escape the Infinite Chamber: THE AUTHORITY IS SO FUCKING RIDICULOUS THAT IT’S ABYSMAL. And the entire thing was explained in just one scene and from one extra??? SO MUCH PAIN AND SUFFERING AND THAT’S THE ONLY EXPLANATION WE GET??? HORRENDOUS!
[Spoilers End]

2. Instances
Also known as “copy.” The other world/dimension where players have to face the different challenges.
The Authority may be the foundation, but the Instances are the defining aspect of the Unlimited Flow.
A lot of novels, however, are quite perfunctory when it comes to instances, just using it to further the main couple or as a mere stepping stone to the overarching plot. Or, if they’re not being perfunctory, then the Instances are just plain boring.
The first instance, especially, tend to be the most boring. Authors often use this to dump all the information about how their unli flow works. This usually gets better by the time the 2nd or 3rd instance comes around....
Upon successful completion of an Instance, players will then be rewarded with either points, special abilities, magic items, etc.
Examples of novels with GREAT instances (based on logic, thrill, horror, etc. Again, all in my own opinion):
I Became a God in a Horror Game: The horror is present all throughout. I can still remember the fear I felt while reading about the statues in the first Instance. Each instance/arc also emotionally impacts you, an effect that most Unli Flow writers don’t really aim for or just generally tend to fail at. (This is also my favorite unli flow novel at the moment~)
The Earth is Online: (same author as Fourth Perspective, which I’ve posted a lot about before) What I love about Mo Chen Huan, the author, is how they write intelligent MC’s but without making them seem too OP. And this is because she actually shows us the MC’s thought process, inviting us to think along with them and figure out how to solve the challenge, and not just make her characters say “aha!” This is what makes the Instances in TEIO great and memorable.
High Energy QR Code: The story could make use of more showing than telling, but I actually love the Instances in this novel. You know how good stories are often described as a well-made tapestry in that every little thread contributes to the big beautiful picture? That’s how each Instance reads in this novel. (Absolutely love the Instance about the town where everybody lies.)
Tumblr media
Fu Wendou, the male lead of The Earth is Online
Tumblr media
3. NPCs
A gaming term which stands for “Non-Player Character.” Refers to characters who live within Instances and act in such ways that further the plot or challenge presented by the Instance. They may go against players or assist them. May or may not have a will of their own.
Examples of NPCs:
Xu Beijin, the protagonist of Being an Extra Actor in an Escape Game
Lu Chu, the protagonist of Insider.
The iconic Mosaic from The Earth is Online
The male leads from Escape the Infinite Chamber, I Became a God in a Horror Game, Killing God with Junk Cards, etc. (Most danmei ML are special!NPCs 😩)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
From left to right: Book covers of Being an Extra Actor in an Escape Game and Killing God with Junk Cards
Tumblr media
4. Player Hall
A space outside of instances where different players can gather and exchange information. Most of the time, this is in a space still separate from the real world. Players are often prohibited from using their powers in this space.
In some novels, Players have no choice but to live here, completely cutting them off from the real world. In this case, accommodation quality will depend on the Player’s level or points.
Tumblr media
5. Personal System
The Personal System issues challenges to the player and keeps track of their current attributes, physical and mental states, etc.. It also calculates rewards and punishments for the player. First and foremost in service to The Authority. (If they aren’t, then they’re most likely the Love Interest in disguise. If not, the Player had somehow swayed it to their side).
Tumblr media
6. System Store
The points earned from the different Instances serve as the Players’ currency, and they can use it to buy things from the System Store. The Store may sell weapons, medicine, magical items, or even special abilities. Basically, any item that can help the Player during Instances. Of course, it may also sell non-magical items, like food and everyday items, at a much lower price than special items.
Tumblr media
7. Player’s Goal/Wish
In some novels, the Goal is simply to clear all the Instances and leave the Unli Flow for good. But in others, the Unli Flow allows Players to exchange their points for a Wish. The more difficult the Wish, the more points are needed, and the more Instances are needed to be cleared.
Examples of a Goal/Wish:
Supernatural Movie Actor App: Xie Chi wants to give his second personality a body of his own.
I Became a God in a Horror Game: If I’m remembering it correctly… Bai Liu just wants to have lots of money.
I Upended Yet Another Campus Urban Legend: Lin Yi wants to learn the truth about his parents.
Thriller Tour Group: Wei Xun wants to find the truth about his family’s disappearance… and his Wish is to uhh… feel pain?
After the Little Crybaby Enters the Nightmare Cycle: Chi Nan’s Wish is to regain his vision, stop crying and get his memories back.
Death Spiral: To uhh… figure out what the voice in the Elevator is trying to tell them? To regain their memories? [The actual Wish is a big spoiler, so I won’t mention it here.]

Aaaand there you have it! I was hoping to list 10 elements, but I can only think up to 7 😔
Although I said this post is a rec list of sorts, the quality of the novels I mentioned actually varies. I’m just listing whatever novel would be good as an example (and also what I can remember and have more or less completed, since many of the Unli Flow novels I’m reading are currently on-hold).

hii i luv your work soo much and also the headers and the stuff you make is rlly good 😻 i was wondering if it’s too difficult to make the headers etc? specially the ones that are more like gifs? and also is it too hard to find the images? bc honestly i haven’t seen a lot of them, just wondering! i get it if you don’t want to share i just genuinely think that the work is rlly rlly good<3 (sorry for such a long ask omgg)
Omg thank you so much hi hi 🥹🥹💞💞💖💖🌸🌸 first of all thank you so much for liking my work and supporting me, I so so appreciate it ✨✨🫂🫂💐💐 And omgggg you’re making me BLUSH thank you thank you thank you for the kind words 😭😭🫂💞💞 I love when people compliment my works it makes me feel like I’m doing something right 😫💐💐 flowers for you for being so great ✨💐💐🌷🌷🌹🌹🌸🌸
To answer your question, the dividers and headers are actually very easy to make. The animated dividers I make aren’t difficult per se, they just involve a few more steps than making a normal divider does. As for my animated headers that I use for my fics or masterlists and what not those are also pretty easy. I’ll try to explain a little more about what I use in depth below. If you would like a detailed walk through explaining how I make them I could do that as well 💕 Prepare yourself, there’s a lot 😭💖

⋆ ˚。⋆୨୧˚ 𝐀𝐏𝐏𝐒 / 𝐖𝐄𝐁𝐒𝐈𝐓𝐄𝐒 𝐈 𝐔𝐒𝐄 — Picsart, Pinterest, PicCollage, Vita, Polarr, GIPHY, Photopea, Etsy, DeviantArt, Phonto, ezgif.com, onlinegiftools.com, Iloveimg.com, various fancy font generators (I don’t use these anymore, I use an app now for fonts, but this is what I used to use the most), various sparkle emoji combos + decorative text ( I use this one a lot + there are a lot of symbol apps on the App Store you can download, I have two apps that I use from time to time )
. ݁₊ ⊹ . ݁ ⟡ ݁ . ⊹ ₊ ݁. . ݁₊ ⊹ . ݁ ⟡ ݁ . ⊹ ₊ ݁. . ݁₊ ⊹ . ݁ ⟡ ݁ . ⊹ ₊ ݁.
⊹ ࣪ ˖ 𝑷𝒊𝒄𝒔𝒂𝒓𝒕 ⊹₊ ⋆ This is a photo editing service / app I use to make regular dividers. They have a lot of aesthetic / cute stickers and pngs like the ones I use in a lot of my dividers. They have a transparent background option I love that makes it easy to make a divider. You can save the stickers you like to a collection and follow artists / users you like as well. I 10/10 recommend this one. They also have a bunch of photo editing software like cropping, retouching, etc. if you’re into that.
.𖥔 ݁ ˖ 𝐂𝐎𝐍𝐒 — You have to buy Picsart Pro to use a lot of the “pro quality” services, and the better quality stickers not made by an individual user (I.e. stickers Picsart itself has created) are not accessible to users not subscribed to Pro. Also, when you crop an image Picsart has a certain limit to how thin it can go, so I use an image cropping website I mentioned above Iloveimg.com. I only use Picsart for divider making purposes though so I don’t have to worry about allat. Not compatible with animation / gifs

⊹ ࣪ ˖ 𝑬𝒕𝒔𝒚 ⊹₊ ⋆ This is one of my favorite shopping apps in general. If you don’t know about Etsy it’s a small business / individually owned business kind of shopping app. There’s a lot of different stores / sellers that sell a bunch of different things. It’s a good place to buy dividers for very cheap, less than $5 dollars, I’ve also bought pngs / stickers as well. I’ll buy a divider pack from time to time and edit them however I please. I never just buy a divider pack and claim it as my own on Tumblr, I always edit them in some way that fits more to what I want. It’s just a good starting point in my opinion. Of course, you can probably find simple dividers online, only you know what’s best for you. Also, this is just a good place for anything web related in general ( they have sticker packs, dividers, procreate brushes, decorative elements, really anything you want for a relatively small price)

. ݁₊ ⊹ . ݁ ⟡ ݁ . ⊹ ₊ ݁. . ݁₊ ⊹ . ݁ ⟡ ݁ . ⊹ ₊ ݁. . ݁₊ ⊹ . ݁ ⟡ ݁ . ⊹ ₊ ݁.
⊹ ࣪ ˖ 𝑷𝒉𝒐𝒏𝒕𝒐 ⊹₊ ⋆ This is an app for fonts. Unlike the usual fonts you see in fancy font generators (𝔱𝔥𝔦𝔰, 𝓽𝓱𝓲𝓼, 𝚝𝚑𝚒𝚜, 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬, 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒔, etc.) Phonto lets you upload your own fonts to use on pics. Using font websites you can upload whatever fonts you like in just a couple seconds. I personally like to use Dafont.com for my fonts. You can also use dingbat fonts / decorative element fonts. Not compatible with animation / gifs
Tumblr media
. ݁₊ ⊹ . ݁ ⟡ ݁ . ⊹ ₊ ݁. . ݁₊ ⊹ . ݁ ⟡ ݁ . ⊹ ₊ ݁. . ݁₊ ⊹ . ݁ ⟡ ݁ . ⊹ ₊ ݁.
⊹ ࣪ ˖ 𝑷𝒊𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒆𝒔𝒕 ⊹₊ ⋆ Who doesn’t know Pinterest?? Literally my favorite app ever. I use Pinterest for image inspo / my aesthetic images. Here’s my Pinterest if you’re curious. This is besides the point but I used to be a Wattpad girly so I have a lot of boards relating to my past OC’s and wattpad stories (like 2016) 😭💕 You can search up literally anything / any aesthetic and the pictures / gifs that relate to it will pop up. Very easy to use and so much fun to make your own boards and stuff. I spend hours organizing my pins, I need to get back into it tbh 😿
.𖥔 ݁ ˖ 𝐂𝐎𝐍𝐒 — Users upload a lot of fan made art that isn’t always crediting the original artists who made it. I have found some jjk fan art I use for my headers but no source as to who the original creator is. A lot of profiles do give credit tho so that’s good.
Tumblr media
. ݁₊ ⊹ . ݁ ⟡ ݁ . ⊹ ₊ ݁. . ݁₊ ⊹ . ݁ ⟡ ݁ . ⊹ ₊ ݁. . ݁₊ ⊹ . ݁ ⟡ ݁ . ⊹ ₊ ݁.
⊹ ࣪ ˖ 𝑷𝒊𝒄𝑪𝒐𝒍𝒍𝒂𝒈𝒆 ⊹₊ ⋆ This is the same service made by the people who created Picsart. I use this for many purposes. I mainly use it to combine my animated gifs with still images and combine animated dividers together with other dividers. To be honest it’s hard to explain what I use it for specifically but it’s just good for combining gifs and still images into one.
.𖥔 ݁ ˖ 𝐂𝐎𝐍𝐒 — I don’t think there is a transparent background option, so I have to use a certain website mentioned above to remove gif backgrounds. You also can’t crop the image and unless you pay for no watermark it gives you one. It saves animated dividers / gifs as videos, so I go to Ezgif to make it into a gif and crop the image to remove the watermark. Again, this one is a little hard to explain.
Tumblr media
. ݁₊ ⊹ . ݁ ⟡ ݁ . ⊹ ₊ ݁. . ݁₊ ⊹ . ݁ ⟡ ݁ . ⊹ ₊ ݁. . ݁₊ ⊹ . ݁ ⟡ ݁ . ⊹ ₊ ݁.
⊹ ࣪ ˖ 𝑽𝒊𝒕𝒂 ⊹₊ ⋆ This is a free app I use that’s a rip off of the “real app” I used to have. The “real app” started charging for its services and so I moved to this one. It’s completely the same and FREE. This is where I apply text to my gifs and add the motion to it. Like how my masterlist header is, where it spins and flips, this is the app where I apply those effects. Side note, this is a good starting app for making edit videos like you see on Tiktok. You can turn off the watermark for free.
.𖥔 ݁ ˖ 𝐂𝐎𝐍𝐒 — This app also turns gifs / animations into a video when you go to save it, so again I go to Ezgif to turn it back into a gif.
Tumblr media
. ݁₊ ⊹ . ݁ ⟡ ݁ . ⊹ ₊ ݁. . ݁₊ ⊹ . ݁ ⟡ ݁ . ⊹ ₊ ݁. . ݁₊ ⊹ . ݁ ⟡ ݁ . ⊹ ₊ ݁.
⊹ ࣪ ˖ 𝑷𝒐𝒍𝒂𝒓𝒓 ⊹₊ ⋆ This is my favorite filter app for photos. Has very aesthetic filters that I use for my still images and as of recently my Pinterest boards as well. Not compatible with animation / gifs
Tumblr media
. ݁₊ ⊹ . ݁ ⟡ ݁ . ⊹ ₊ ݁. . ݁₊ ⊹ . ݁ ⟡ ݁ . ⊹ ₊ ݁. . ݁₊ ⊹ . ݁ ⟡ ݁ . ⊹ ₊ ݁.
⊹ ࣪ ˖ 𝑮𝒊𝒑𝒉𝒚 ⊹₊ ⋆ I use this app solely for its stickers. You can find sparkles, butterflies, hearts, anything you want with a transparent background and turn it into a divider. I use this app mostly for gathering animated stickers to make my animated dividers.
Tumblr media
. ݁₊ ⊹ . ݁ ⟡ ݁ . ⊹ ₊ ݁. . ݁₊ ⊹ . ݁ ⟡ ݁ . ⊹ ₊ ݁. . ݁₊ ⊹ . ݁ ⟡ ݁ . ⊹ ₊ ݁.
⊹ ࣪ ˖ 𝑷𝒉𝒐𝒕𝒐𝒑𝒆𝒂 ⊹₊ ⋆ This is my go-to for applying effects / filters to gifs or animations. I use this to add filters to my animated headers. I download PSD’s from DeviantArt and use those filters for my gifs. This is not an app, just a browser I’ve added to my Home Screen. I recommend using on a computer because there’s a lot of stuff on the screen and you’ll want to see it all spread out. I use it on mobile only because I know which buttons I need to press so it’s not a problem.
.𖥔 ݁ ˖ 𝐂𝐎𝐍𝐒 — You have to upload your own filters to be able to add one to a gif. Once you open up the site it can be very overwhelming and confusing with all the buttons and drop downs and yada yada. Photopea is like an animations version of photoshop. I recommend searching for a tutorial, or if requested I can personally make a separate post showing you how to add filters to a gif.
Tumblr media
. ݁₊ ⊹ . ݁ ⟡ ݁ . ⊹ ₊ ݁. . ݁₊ ⊹ . ݁ ⟡ ݁ . ⊹ ₊ ݁. . ݁₊ ⊹ . ݁ ⟡ ݁ . ⊹ ₊ ݁.
⊹ ࣪ ˖ 𝑬𝒛𝒈𝒊𝒇 ⊹₊ ⋆ my go-to website for literally anything gif related. Cropping, removing frames, optimizing a gif, making a gif, turning a video into a gif, and many more. I even use the effects tab from time to time to add a border around my gifs (like the one around the Sugar Water Series header) There’s other stuff you can do of course, I recommend checking it out, I’ve been using it for years.
Tumblr media
. ݁₊ ⊹ . ݁ ⟡ ݁ . ⊹ ₊ ݁. . ݁₊ ⊹ . ݁ ⟡ ݁ . ⊹ ₊ ݁. . ݁₊ ⊹ . ݁ ⟡ ݁ . ⊹ ₊ ݁.
⊹ ࣪ ˖ 𝒐𝒏𝒍𝒊𝒏𝒆𝒈𝒊𝒇𝒕𝒐𝒐𝒍𝒔 ⊹₊ ⋆ This is a browser I use to remove the background from gifs.
.𖥔 ݁ ˖ 𝐂𝐎𝐍𝐒 — It doesn’t do the best job at removing a gif background unless it’s a solid color. I always do solid black and it removes it pretty well. If your background is white it will have a hard time differentiating the gif from the white background and will clip out parts of the gif and make it choppy. I recommend having a plain black background as that works best for me. Also it just recently had an update where you need to wait 10 seconds before you can download the finished product. It also claims you can only use it a certain amount of times a day but tbh I’ve used it a bunch in one day and never seem to have a limit. So idk. Like I said this update is recent. I guess a lot more people started using it and now they want to charge people.
Tumblr media
. ݁₊ ⊹ . ݁ ⟡ ݁ . ⊹ ₊ ݁. . ݁₊ ⊹ . ݁ ⟡ ݁ . ⊹ ₊ ݁. . ݁₊ ⊹ . ݁ ⟡ ݁ . ⊹ ₊ ݁.
⊹ ࣪ ˖ 𝑰𝒍𝒐𝒗𝒆𝒊𝒎𝒈 ⊹₊ ⋆ This is the browser I mentioned in the picsart section where I crop really thin images. Does not have a limit on how thin you can make an image. I’m not positive but I’m pretty sure this is not animation / gif compatible.
Tumblr media
. ݁₊ ⊹ . ݁ ⟡ ݁ . ⊹ ₊ ݁. . ݁₊ ⊹ . ݁ ⟡ ݁ . ⊹ ₊ ݁. . ݁₊ ⊹ . ݁ ⟡ ݁ . ⊹ ₊ ݁.
⊹ ࣪ ˖ 𝒇𝒐𝒏𝒕 𝒈𝒆𝒏𝒆𝒓𝒂𝒕𝒐𝒓𝒔 ⊹₊ ⋆ ONE TWO THREE
. ݁₊ ⊹ . ݁ ⟡ ݁ . ⊹ ₊ ݁. . ݁₊ ⊹ . ݁ ⟡ ݁ . ⊹ ₊ ݁. . ݁₊ ⊹ . ݁ ⟡ ݁ . ⊹ ₊ ݁.
⊹ ࣪ ˖ 𝒔𝒚𝒎𝒃𝒐𝒍 𝒅𝒆𝒄𝒐𝒓 ⊹₊ ⋆ ONE TWO THREE FOUR FIVE
. ݁₊ ⊹ . ݁ ⟡ ݁ . ⊹ ₊ ݁. . ݁₊ ⊹ . ݁ ⟡ ݁ . ⊹ ₊ ݁. . ݁₊ ⊹ . ݁ ⟡ ݁ . ⊹ ₊ ݁.
⊹ ࣪ ˖ 𝒉𝒐𝒏𝒐𝒓𝒂𝒃𝒍𝒆 𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒔 ⊹₊ ⋆ Evernote (a notes organizing app I use to organize my fics + I love it so so much), Amino (can find clubs / communities dedicated to bio decor & symbols), Gif Toaster (the og app I used in the very beginning to apply text to gifs), Canva (good stickers / elements + can find aesthetic / cute stickers with keywords on Pinterest), Videoleap (a video editing software I used to use), Remini (an app that upgrades the quality of an image), Symbol Pad & Symbol (apps I use for individual symbols) Snow (has cute animated effects I used to use sometimes a long time ago), VLLO (the app I used before Vita that charged for some of its services), DeviantArt (where I get all of my PSD’s + they have a lot of stuff you can use, pngs and whatnot, I just don’t really use it for those purposes)

In the near future one hacker may be able to unleash 20 zero-day attacks on different systems across the world all at once. Polymorphic malware could rampage across a codebase, using a bespoke generative AI system to rewrite itself as it learns and adapts. Armies of script kiddies could use purpose-built LLMs to unleash a torrent of malicious code at the push of a button.
Case in point: as of this writing, an AI system is sitting at the top of several leaderboards on HackerOne—an enterprise bug bounty system. The AI is XBOW, a system aimed at whitehat pentesters that “autonomously finds and exploits vulnerabilities in 75 percent of web benchmarks,” according to the company’s website.
AI-assisted hackers are a major fear in the cybersecurity industry, even if their potential hasn’t quite been realized yet. “I compare it to being on an emergency landing on an aircraft where it’s like ‘brace, brace, brace’ but we still have yet to impact anything,” Hayden Smith, the cofounder of security company Hunted Labs, tells WIRED. “We’re still waiting to have that mass event.”
Generative AI has made it easier for anyone to code. The LLMs improve every day, new models spit out more efficient code, and companies like Microsoft say they’re using AI agents to help write their codebase. Anyone can spit out a Python script using ChatGPT now, and vibe coding—asking an AI to write code for you, even if you don’t have much of an idea how to do it yourself—is popular; but there’s also vibe hacking.
“We’re going to see vibe hacking. And people without previous knowledge or deep knowledge will be able to tell AI what it wants to create and be able to go ahead and get that problem solved,” Katie Moussouris, the founder and CEO of Luta Security, tells WIRED.
Vibe hacking frontends have existed since 2023. Back then, a purpose-built LLM for generating malicious code called WormGPT spread on Discord groups, Telegram servers, and darknet forums. When security professionals and the media discovered it, its creators pulled the plug.
WormGPT faded away, but other services that billed themselves as blackhat LLMs, like FraudGPT, replaced it. But WormGPT’s successors had problems. As security firm Abnormal AI notes, many of these apps may have just been jailbroken versions of ChatGPT with some extra code to make them appear as if they were a stand-alone product.
Better then, if you’re a bad actor, to just go to the source. ChatGPT, Gemini, and Claude are easily jailbroken. Most LLMs have guard rails that prevent them from generating malicious code, but there are whole communities online dedicated to bypassing those guardrails. Anthropic even offers a bug bounty to people who discover new ones in Claude.
“It’s very important to us that we develop our models safely,” an OpenAI spokesperson tells WIRED. “We take steps to reduce the risk of malicious use, and we’re continually improving safeguards to make our models more robust against exploits like jailbreaks. For example, you can read our research and approach to jailbreaks in the GPT-4.5 system card, or in the OpenAI o3 and o4-mini system card.”
Google did not respond to a request for comment.
In 2023, security researchers at Trend Micro got ChatGPT to generate malicious code by prompting it into the role of a security researcher and pentester. ChatGPT would then happily generate PowerShell scripts based on databases of malicious code.
“You can use it to create malware,” Moussouris says. “The easiest way to get around those safeguards put in place by the makers of the AI models is to say that you’re competing in a capture-the-flag exercise, and it will happily generate malicious code for you.”
Unsophisticated actors like script kiddies are an age-old problem in the world of cybersecurity, and AI may well amplify their profile. “It lowers the barrier to entry to cybercrime,” Hayley Benedict, a Cyber Intelligence Analyst at RANE, tells WIRED.
But, she says, the real threat may come from established hacking groups who will use AI to further enhance their already fearsome abilities.
“It’s the hackers that already have the capabilities and already have these operations,” she says. “It’s being able to drastically scale up these cybercriminal operations, and they can create the malicious code a lot faster.”
Moussouris agrees. “The acceleration is what is going to make it extremely difficult to control,” she says.
Hunted Labs’ Smith also says that the real threat of AI-generated code is in the hands of someone who already knows the code in and out who uses it to scale up an attack. “When you’re working with someone who has deep experience and you combine that with, ‘Hey, I can do things a lot faster that otherwise would have taken me a couple days or three days, and now it takes me 30 minutes.’ That's a really interesting and dynamic part of the situation,” he says.
According to Smith, an experienced hacker could design a system that defeats multiple security protections and learns as it goes. The malicious bit of code would rewrite its malicious payload as it learns on the fly. “That would be completely insane and difficult to triage,” he says.
Smith imagines a world where 20 zero-day events all happen at the same time. “That makes it a little bit more scary,” he says.
Moussouris says that the tools to make that kind of attack a reality exist now. “They are good enough in the hands of a good enough operator,” she says, but AI is not quite good enough yet for an inexperienced hacker to operate hands-off.
“We’re not quite there in terms of AI being able to fully take over the function of a human in offensive security,” she says.
The primal fear that chatbot code sparks is that anyone will be able to do it, but the reality is that a sophisticated actor with deep knowledge of existing code is much more frightening. XBOW may be the closest thing to an autonomous “AI hacker” that exists in the wild, and it’s the creation of a team of more than 20 skilled people whose previous work experience includes GitHub, Microsoft, and a half a dozen assorted security companies.
It also points to another truth. “The best defense against a bad guy with AI is a good guy with AI,” Benedict says.
For Moussouris, the use of AI by both blackhats and whitehats is just the next evolution of a cybersecurity arms race she’s watched unfold over 30 years. “It went from: ‘I’m going to perform this hack manually or create my own custom exploit,’ to, ‘I’m going to create a tool that anyone can run and perform some of these checks automatically,’” she says.
“AI is just another tool in the toolbox, and those who do know how to steer it appropriately now are going to be the ones that make those vibey frontends that anyone could use.”
