Tumblr media
hi feathers! here is a list of what i eat when i cr@ve high c@l food.
it worked until now and i haven't had any binges since i r31@ps3d!!
Tumblr media
-apples (~55 kc@ls /100g)
*what i usually do to make them tastier is that i cut them in reaaaaally small cubes, put them in a bowl, microwave for a minute and a half and that's it! you can even add vanilla extract or some 0kc@l sweetener if you have some, definitely top tier!!*
Tumblr media
-sugar free chewing gum (~2 kc@ls /piece)
*classic, but love love love it!! i always have some on me to go to school and... pretty much everywhere! they supress hung3r and keep me grounded and focused (because of my mental disorders) so yeah!*
Tumblr media
-black coffee (~2 kc@ls /100ml)
*not everyone may like it, but i personally do. it's an 4pp3t!t3 supressant, it works pretty well!*
Tumblr media
-carrots (41 kc@ls /100g)
*same here, not everyone pay like them, especially for their texture. but you can't mash them and make a purée (it's the french word but i think it's called the same in english...), you can cut them in sticks, in dices... and my favorite way : grated carrots !!!*
Tumblr media
-boiled eggs // without the yolk // (52 kc@ls /100g)
*i personally am severly afraid of egg yolks, and the white is super low c@l. a FULL medium sized egg is about 32g, so it's suuuuuper low c@l!!!*
Tumblr media
-lettuce (15 kc@ls /100g)
*OMG i LOVE LOVE LOVE LETTUCE!!! so low c@l, so f!ll1ng, nice texture and you can combine it with lots of low c@ls toppingsnas well! (ex : boiled egg whites yum)*
Tumblr media
-tea (~4 kc@ls /100ml)
*i've been obsessed with tea for a few years now... what can i even say about it? it changes from water, since only drink coffee, tea and water.... yeah.*

Last Twilight, episode 1: reflections
TW: suicide
ALLLLLLLLRIGHT! Aof Noppharnach began our year with Moonlight Chicken; interjected it with Our Skyy 2 x Bad Buddy x A Tale of Thousand Stars, and bookends it with Last Twilight. I've got my cha yen ready (not too sweet), here we go, Last Twilight, episode 1.
Some quick notes on random stuff first, then themes I'm picking up on:
1) Yes, we had to have Doc Jimmy start a new series with a new fight, huh (and always in these bowling shirt/jackets, too)
2) Ajahn Pichai with the gold chain, sheeeet! (Listen. It's my OGMMTVC Bad Buddy Meta Month. Just about everyone working on this show on the screenwriting and directing team are BBS alums. The comparisons will be unavoidable!)
Tumblr media
3) Why do I know Sea Tawinan? It’s not because I watched Vice Versa (I stayed away), but because he was great in a small role in 55:15 Never Too Late, AND, more importantly, homeboy wore an off-shoulder Fendi sweater WITH a blazer (CLAP EMOJIS) to some GMMTV event, which warmed my couture cockles. Much respect for the taste! (Poor @lurkingshan has had to literally hear about my fashion obsession with this get-up MULTIPLE TIMES, sorry Shan, palms together!)
Tumblr media
4) Of the few episodes of Midnight Museum and UMG that I watched earlier this year, I was not impressed with Namtan Tipnaree, but I appreciate that she's starting off quite strong and moodily here. (Also, UMG's script did literally no human being any justice.)
@twig-tea has gathered the ragged and burnt out (oh, is that just me, lmao) Ephemerality Squad from the Only Friends meta circle to join them in a Last Twilight Liminality.... what should we call ourselves, the Liminality League? The Liminality Legion? Someone choose! Anyway, I am super down, and ready to start chewing on some themes. Twig captured the big theme of liminality, of time purgatory, and I totally agree with what you've gotten down in your post, Twig.
In the preview episode for this series, Before Last Twilight, we learn that Day has 180 days -- six months -- of vision left. At the same time, Mhok has 180 days -- six months -- to earn enough money to buy back his late sister's car.
In addition to liminality/time purgatory (this is only my coinage, btw, a way in which I can understand the moment in life this show is capturing), we clearly have a theme of cars and movement. Mhok is a mechanic. He wants to keep his late sister's car. The Bimmer that Night is driving is Day's car. Mhok has to get Day home on the back of a motorcycle as Night had to drive away while Day was wandering in the middle of the road. A car can move backwards only very temporarily, and will HAVE to move forwards at any point in time in order to get to another location (..... unless you're a driver from New Jersey, ayooo!). The car belonging to the late Rung is very much in purgatory at the moment.
We have a theme of sibling rivalry between Day and Night. Day was the success of the family, knows it, and hangs it over Night's head. And we have a theme of opposites. Day, Night, blind, seeing. I can play badminton, I cannot play badminton.
(BY THE WAY! We know we'll be reading more into badminton, AND in the rivalry of Day and Night, AND in the rivalry of Sea and Mark in this series, yes? Mark Pakin and Sea Tawinan are both national-level Thai badminton players who chose acting as their careers. They're facing off in some GMMTV BL sports tournament at the end of the year. I hope it's slightly aggressive! In Before Last Twilight, Sea actually made reference to his rivalry with Mark. Ooooh, TESTY!)
While I'm watching closely the tension between Day and Night, I'm also watching for the stress and pressure that caring for Day will put on Mhok, as well as Night and his and Day's mother. As many of us are watching Last Twilight very closely for accuracy and authenticity in reflecting the experience of a disabled person in an unaccommodating environment; I'm also looking to this show to hopefully capture stories of caregiver stress, which is an incredibly real and important phenomenon (relevant articles here and here).
As I always, always harken to in my posts: behavioral change is very real, and very difficult -- especially when behavioral change is forced upon an individual AND/OR a group, all of which contain very different emotional constructions. Day and Night's forced behavioral change, based on Day's vision condition, has very naturally and automatically caused stress in the group dynamic of Day's family system, as we saw in the outburst in Day's car. I wonder how Mhok will deal with that stress, and how he'll manage his own stress vis à vis caring for Day.
Last theme for now, and then some concluding thoughts. Mhok's emotional distance from his sister's suicide. He can't bring himself to connect with it directly.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I'm eating this up. It's certainly Mhok's way of grieving at the moment. He's also talking with his ex-girlfriend in both of these scenes. There's emotional space between him and Rung, between him and Porjai. And certainly there's simmering and unresolved anger as well -- honestly, the whole emotional circle. But Mhok, at this point, is not toeing the line of getting close to those emotions, and is engaging with the memory of his sister with distance, which is bound to be addressed vis à vis his connection with Day.
There's a lot of anger, a lot of regret, a lot of avoidance, a lot of dancing around the honest truth. Mhok and Day are likely conduits of emotional openness and steadiness to each other; we will see how it plays out.
What do I think of JimmySea? I'm not you're average Wai hater -- I really liked Jimmy as Wai in Bad Buddy. Because I didn't watch Vice Versa, I honestly don't know what I think about him in a lead role. So I am going in REAL fresh, knowing nothing about JimmySea's chemistry, and I like what I'm seeing so far, particularly with Jimmy's emotional control. I appreciate having seen a bit of the work they did together in Before Last Twilight to get to this series premiere.
Aof has done this before: he's recognized potential in pairings (specifically in Dark Blue Kiss with TayNew and Still 2gether with BrightWin) to come up with fabulous shows. So I have trust that he knows what he's doing with JimmySea. Let's see. I really like this so far, but Only Friends did indeed burn me out to a crisp, so I'm allowing myself the slightest touch of hesitancy as I get into a new and big GMMTV show.

Taylor Swift’s ‘Eras’ Tour, With Potential $80 Billion Impact, Could Boost the Global Economy Beyond Anyone’s ‘Wildest Dreams’ (Exclusive)
One economist estimates that just in the US, the 'Swiftie Economy' will have a direct economic impact equal to that of at least 55 Super BowlsThe “Taylor Effect” could blow past even sharply revised estimates by the time her 146-stop global concert tour finishes next year.
Taylor Swift’s “Eras” roadshow likely exceeded $10 billion in U.S. consumer spending on tickets, merchandise, travel, clothing, food and drink during its first 53 shows in 20 U.S. cities, according to an economist at the U.S. Travel Association, a trade and lobbying group in Washington, D.C. That previously unreported figure is double a widely cited number from marketing research firm QuestionPro, which estimated in June that those 53 concerts had a directOK?? $5 billion impact.
With the ongoing tour only halfway through and a high-profile boost to the NFL from the pop superstar’s relationship with Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, the “Swiftie Economy” is swelling further.
One Taylor Swift concert has the economic impact of a Super Bowl, Ed Tiryakian, an associate professor of corporate finance and business economics at Duke University, told The Messenger.
Putting a number on “Taylor-nomics” isn’t only about estimating spending by concert-going “Swifties” and consumers swayed by television commercials for products and services during and around NFL games. The accounting includes spending by fans as they travel to shows in other states and abroad, plus spending by people who didn’t attend a show but traveled with people who did.
Tiryakian told The Messenger that the total impact could be $55 billion to $80 billion. He said in an interview with The Messenger that he was leaning “close to 80B in total economic impact from tickets to hotels and MPC,” referring to marginal propensity to consume, a concept that less affluent people are more likely to open their wallets and spend.

100 of my favorite Hip Hop Albums of 2022 Might be excessive but there was simply just a ton of music this year that I enjoyed and found myself going back to, and I believe each of them is worth checking out.  Each of the album titles here also links to either a bandcamp page or stream where you can listen to the project. Hopefully you’ll at least find one new album that you enjoy here, and as always feel free to reply with what you enjoyed and connected with the most this year. I’d love to know, and any other recommendations are definitely appreciated. This was an incredible year for new releases, not just for hip hop but for music in general which is why i’ll be posting another top 100 list for all of the non hip hop stuff I enjoyed from this year, hopefully in the next few days.  Peace. • I already feel lighter and cleaner
• my motivation sky rocketed
• stomach is no longer bloated and hurting
• I'm able to say no to the f00ds I no longer include in my daily intake
• confidence in improving
• completed a 55 hr f4st and didn't b!nge
• able to easily stay within my c4l l!m!t
• keeping myself busy so I don't 3at which turned into being more productive in my day to day living
• completely cleaned my house to bvrn c4ls (and it needed it lol)

…I just can’t help thinking of what it would’ve been like if they’d lost…
it would've been very sad. We lost super bowl 55 and it was not a vibe. Especially with that insane celeb group there lmao so glad we won. My gut is usually right about games and I knew we were gonna win all week and the whole game, even down and when it went into OT. So glad it was right hahaha

Dear Sephiroth: (a letter to a fictional character, because why not) #55
I have been working on something all day today. Because the thing I ordered yesterday arrived today! Behold!!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So you remember that bowl that my klutzy ass shattered yesterday? Well guess what:
Tumblr media
The pictures do NOT do it any justice. This thing is SPARKLY!! 🤩
It's not quite finished yet. Again, I am dyspraxic; this is going to take me a while. My hands are clumsy as hell because the idea of my body moving exactly in the way I intend is a distant fantasy for me; being dyspraxic fucking SUCKS. And I'm REALLY SUPER MEGA GLAD that you don't gotta deal with it. Clinical clumsiness is really not a fun time. For ANYONE involved. But whatever! I make it work!!
So the kit comes with this stuff:
Tumblr media
You've got paper dishes with black gloves crunched up inside. You're supposed to use gloves because uncured epoxy is supposedly poisonous, but I didn't use the gloves because I can't afford to lose any more points in DEX, and when my fingertips are covered, my DEX score (which is already very low) gets set to -50.
Underneath are two containers of "gold dust" (it's really just extremely fine sparkly gold glitter, but still!). Then you've got the tube of food-grade epoxy (it's made of cashews, I guess? but it smells vaguely like shrimp).
I wasn't able to get you too terribly many pictures of the process, because this stuff sets FAST, holy cow! But I can give you a rundown of the steps:
First, you squirt an amount of the epoxy into one of the paper dishes. Then you add "an appropriate amount" (verbatim from the instructions) of the gold dust to the epoxy and stir it around with the wooden sticks provided. Then you use the stick to glorp the epoxy onto the edges of one of the pieces you're joining. Then you press the pieces together, and wait for a short time, and be VERY careful not to touch the epoxy until it stops being tacky, because the stuff has the stickiness and consistency of partially-melted caramel, and it WILL prioritize sticking to your skin over sticking to the ceramic (go on, ask me how I know! haha!). Keep doing that until all the pieces are joined together. Then you use the handy-dandy... chisel... knife... thing...??? to scrape off any excess epoxy. It looks like this:
Tumblr media
...Or uh. That's what it looked like towards the end of doing this, anyway. I've been at this for... 6 or 7 hours now? But still, it's VERY sharp (again, ask me how I know!), and very good at scraping excess epoxy off of ceramic.
Though I didn't get many pictures of mixing the epoxy, or of the pieces after the epoxy was applied to the edges, I did snag a few images while taking quick breaks:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Anyway. Ideally, for a non-dyspraxic person, this process is simple enough. But that is not my lot in life, so... 6 or 7 hours, several sliced-open fingers, epoxy spills and glitter spills on my hands (and in my fresh cuts, fun fun... knowing my luck, I'm gonna have gold-colored scabs until those mend, good grief...), too many instances of accidentally touching still-tacky epoxy while trying to put another piece on, and needing to thus reapply the previous piece, and various spills all over my pants and all over the table I was working on later, I'm....!!!! ...still not finished. 😖
It's together, but I gotta go over each crack one more time with the epoxy goop; Not all of the cracks are thoroughly covered, so I'm still seeing spots where water can get in between things and cause problems. It's not because the kit is bad; the kit is very good! But rather, it's because this is my first time doing something like this, and my hands are clumsy even for things that I do well.
I'm maybe a little cranky about it at the moment because throughout this I mostly forgot to eat and drink (although we did get pork soup dumplings and some other stuff, which prompted me to eat, and that was good!); hyperfocus is a thing, and the time zooms by and I have no idea what happened (what even IS time, anyway? why do we have it? why does it gotta be linear? who decided that this was a good idea? seriously, what the fuck).
But I still had a lot of fun with it, even though my fingers are now ouchy from many accidents with the sharp implement and I've probably accidentally inhaled enough gold dust that my snots are probably gonna be gold-colored every time I blow my nose for the next week. You can bet your bottom that I'm gonna be back at it tomorrow. And then after that, it'll need 48 hours for the epoxy to fully cure and set. After that, though, the bowl will be better and more beautiful than before! It will be a wonderful vessel for that pumpkin soup! Just you wait!
Hey, Sephiroth!!! You go around acting like you're some kinda weird abomination and thinking that a normal life is out of reach for you because of it. And I don't agree with that!!! Not even a teeny tiny little bit!!! You are a "monster" in the same way that I am "furniture"! Which is to say, NOT AT ALL. And I know that this probably seems unrelated to the bowl right now, but I promise you it's not! Just listen:
Even if you were a monster, you can still do normal human things if you want to!! You can do them just because you decided it!! Sure some people might look down on you because of how you were born, but that's because they're insecure and judgmental, and you don't have to listen to those ones! There aren't gonna be any "monster police" coming to get you just because you're deciding to grow a garden at your house, or just because you decide to cook yourself a meal, or just because you're sitting on a sofa on a rainy day with a warm, fuzzy blanket, enjoying a hot mug of tea! And even if there were "monster police" who would be foolish enough to try to disturb your peace, you can just summon up some of that "I'd like to see them try" type of attitude you showed us before and send them a-runnin' with their tails between their legs! You are allowed to not give any fucks towards any arbitrary social rule that says you're unlovable or that you're not allowed to enjoy your life because of how you were born, the way you were raised, the horrors you've endured, the mistakes you've made, or whatever challenges you live with as a result of it all! You are not a lost cause! You are not broken beyond repair!
Sephiroth, I was a viciously abused autistic/ADHD child that absolutely no one wanted to have around. I know what it is to feel subhuman! I know what it is to feel out of place! I know what it means to be raised with the idea that, "if I'm not perfect or if I don't do what they want, I'm going to be considered unlovable and everyone is going to hurt me." And I have hurt people in the past who did not deserve it, too.
But you know what? Here I sit in my silly little house with my silly little things, awkwardly putting back together a pretty bowl that my clumsiness destroyed. I am putting it back together despite the difficulties that being AuDHD/dyspraxic presents. I am putting it back together even though my traumatized brain absolutely refuses to give me even a moment's peace, as all my instincts scream at me that the end result is gonna suck because I'm the one doing it, that the bowl is a lost cause, that I should be doing something "more productive" with my time, and that I'm a bad person for the fact that I'm making a mess in the process, and a bad person for the fact that I struggle with things like these to begin with.
But, my limitations and old conditioning that I'm trying to overcome aside, one fact remains: this bowl is going to be BEAUTIFUL when it's done, regardless of how loudly my brain tries to tell me that it's gonna be ugly because it was shattered in the first place, or that it's gonna be ugly simply because it's MY hands trying to fix it.
I've been told my whole life that no one's gonna love me because I don't think or act like most other people. But I'm sitting here with people who absolutely adore me, not despite the fact that I'm weird and abnormal as hell, but BECAUSE I'm weird and abnormal as hell! I'm considered "other" and "monstrous" and "socially unacceptable" by many, just for freaking existing. And here the fuck I am, DOING NORMAL HUMAN THINGS ANYWAY.
Because here's the thing, Sephiroth: only I get to decide whether or not I am allowed to have a normal. Other people are gonna try to tell me that the nature of my existence means that I don't deserve a normal, or that I'll never have a normal, no matter how hard I try. But I don't gotta listen to those people! Because a clumsy, awkward normal is STILL a normal! Just like the bowl, it doesn't have to be perfect to be worthwhile! There is strength in imperfection! There is beauty in imperfection!
All of this can be true for you as well! You are a human being! And even if you weren't a human being, SO FREAKING WHAT? You're still a person! And as a person, you don't gotta listen if broader society tells you that you're not allowed to have a normal for whatever stupid fucking reason. So just be you. Be the you who laughs and cries and reaches for your locket when you're troubled. Be the you who says what you're thinking and feeling. Be the you who does not stifle his emotions. Be the you who asks for help when those emotions threaten to consume you. People who benefit from keeping your self-esteem low and from encouraging you to dehumanize yourself will tell you that things such as those are weaknesses, but they're not; rather, they're the source of any human being's natural strength.
So, like any human, be like a glorious stained glass window. Be like a beautiful bowl that was pieced back together with intentionality and love. Be like any shattered thing that was put back together. And then go on to put other shattered things back together, even if you do it clumsily. Because shattered things that were repaired are some of the most beautiful things in this world you'll ever find.
If you only knew just how much courage it takes me every day to write to you. If only you knew how much resolve it takes to do the work of putting the shattered pieces of my own voice back together, after years of being silenced and being told who I'm supposed to be by people who didn't have my best interests at heart. If only you knew how much strength it takes, after decades of abuse and decades of being taught that my "stupid, weak-ass thoughts and feelings don't fucking matter to anyone", and decades of being taught that nothing I say or do makes any difference anywhere, to put my still-awkward voice in spaces where I know I'm gonna get hurt or ignored.
If you knew, then maybe you'd understand why I write about repairing broken things as though it is the most important thing there is. If you knew, then maybe you'd understand why I hold out my hand to you and call you so fervently to get up off your knees and do this work upon yourself; the darkness doesn't suit you, and there are plenty of people around who would help you. I'm such a one.
I don't know if it's hard for you to understand. So instead I'll show you that shattered bowls can still hold soup. Just you watch. Please stay safe until I get to show you. Please remember that you are loved; otherwise I wouldn't be trying so hard every day to reach you.
I'm going to write to you again tomorrow, with the same shaky, awkward voice with which I've been writing to you so far. Because it doesn't have to be perfect to be worthwhile; shattered minds, hearts, and voices can still hold goodwill, compassion, and love.
Your friend, Lumine

Me and Jess are on the ferry boat back to our hotel. We are real tired. I am thankfully not in as much pain as yesterday. Still hurting but it is not as bad. And today was a lot of fun.
Last night we did get to watch cars and I was surprised by the emotional intelligence and lack of actual racing. The way that little boys seem to like it so much I expected more action and was pleasantly surprised. Don't know about the second and third but the first was solid.
I would sleep okay but not enough. Waking up was really rough. But besides feeling a little out of it we were doing good. I got dressed and ready and was done and waiting for Jess. I was excited to head out.
We had not done the rope drop thing. Instead we slept an hour later and had a slow breakfast. We shared a lot this time. Basically all of today we shared our food. Which is fun. Get to try more things. The only bad part about breakfast was when we got stuck apart because of a big cart blocking the entrance to the area where we were sitting. And Jess's coffee was very bad. But we struggled through.
We headed to the bus. And while we had joked about all the buses being Epcot today, we were a little delayed by the first three buses actually being Epcot. Finally an animal Kingdom came and things were fine. We were starting a little later but that was okay.
I didn't realize how much longer the ride to Animal Kingdom was going to be. So I was extra glad we got seats. There was actually plenty of space on our bus but a lot of people were stuck squished up front because one guy absolutely would not move back. Just completely unaware and that kind of thing makes me a little crazy. Like when people were getting in the elevator before letting people get off. Just super obnoxious.
But it wasn't a bad ride at all and soon we were there!
Again this entrance surprised me. But it was closer to what I thought it would be. Our first goal was to get Jess Starbucks. I decided that in the end I didn't actually want to do the kids scavenger hunts. To many people, to busy. I just wanted to enjoy the experiences of the immersive spaces. And I think that was the right call.
We got Jess her coffee and I got a cake pop. The girl at the counter was really sweet about us celebrating our birthdays. Everyone was today. And it made me feel really happy.
We did a lot today and saw a whole lot of animals. We started with a walk through zoo. We saw hippos and gorillas and meerkats and so many other little monies and birds. The birds were extra fun because we got a big paper with all the birds to help us identify them and I insisted on asking the staff their favorite birds so I could look for those specifically. And it was just really fun.
One of the workers was from Baltimore and she told.me her brother was at the game on Sunday that James was at. Very bad loss. No more super bowl. But Baltimore will recover emotionally I'm sure.
After our exploration and seeing a bit of Asia, and taking pictures, we decided that we could get in the long 55 minute line for the ride on safari.
And this was really awesome. The wait wasn't horrendous, even though it's longs, we talked and had things to look at. I had ran out of line to go fill my water and enjoyed seeing a little.of Africa. I would find out where we could get corn on the cob. And when I got back to Jess we just kept moving and when we finally got to the front of the line we lucked out and got the entire back row to ourselves. Prime animal viewing.
We saw some amazing animals. Giraffes. Elephants. Wild dogs. Zebras. Even the trees were incredible. I wish it was long but it was about 20 minutes and that was great. I loved it and would highly recommend it.
Once we were off and out of the safari area (after stopping to look at the gift store and hugging a cheetah plush for a long time) we went to find the African street corn I saw. We would get two of those and a churro. And at the last second I saw they were selling three packs of baby bell cheeses and I thought that might be nice to have for later.
The corn was incredible. Just such an unexpected flavor. Curry and pepper and some underlying sweetness and I would absolutely have that again. We got to watch some drumming and it just felt like a festival. The whole atmosphere was fabulous and I loved all the small details. The torn signs, the graffiti, the minutia that makes things feel real and lived in. I was pretty blown away.
We decided that we would not go back to the hotel for a break and instead power through and just leave early, have a nap before dinner. And while this was risky I'm glad that's what we decided to do.
We went to dino land. Traded pins. I didn't know there were carnival games at Disney. I didn't want to play any but it was interesting to see. And the prizes were cute.
I didn't realize, or more so didn't remember, that there is a dinosaur ride. The movie Dinosaur. And it's about going back in time to bring one of the main dinos back. And I vaguely remembered going on it and even though it was a "dark bumpy car ride" I convinced Jess to indulge me. It wasn't a terribly long wait and I really wanted to do it.
And I'm so glad we did. The wait was well timed. With dinosaur fossils and videos. The immersion in the storyline was really well done (even if I recognized the actors), I was very excited.
We got to buckle into the time machine car. And I turned to Jess and said that I wished it could be tighter but I didn't know how to do that. And man was that a bit of foreshadowing.
This ride was crazy. It was basically one step below a rollercoaster the way we were being whipped around. It was loud (I'm very glad I suggested Jess put her ear buds in) and dark and flashing. There were animatronics dinos coming from every direction. It was an absolute blast.
But my feet didn't fully reach the ground. My toes did but not my heels. And I wasn't tightly buckled. And with the sides of the car being open I was pretty concerned I was going to call out of the side. So I tilted my body so I could get one foot firmly planted and just really tried to hold on. I was screaming and laughing and it was a rush in the best ways.
We were both shaken up at the end. For different reasons. She hated it. Rated it a 1/10. I absolutely adored it and thought it was the best thing. 10/10. Only downside was the line and the seat belt. Would do it again. She was so funny though telling me about why it was bad because all of her bad points were my good points. I appreciated her going along with me. It was great.
We went and used the bathroom. Washed our hands. I sat in the sun for a bit and oriented myself on the map.
Our next stop was Pandora to see the avatar stuff. We wanted to go to the river ride but the wait was going to be about an hour again. So at least we would start to head over there. And it was a nice walk. It was beautiful out and we were both in a good place. Sore but not to bad. We considered a snack. But as we got into Pandora I was a bit mesmerized. I bet this would be beautiful at night. The plants were amazing. Between the real and the fake it was all integrated so well. Something I have been really appreciating is the music. It transitions from one world/space/country to the next so senselessly while still keeping you immersed. And this was no different. It was so cool. We went to look at the food but I wasn't sure about it. We went in the gift shop and I was excited to see the baby Navi plush. They have so many babies of every character and I have been excited every time we see a "new" one. It is just very fun.
I decided we should go get in line for the river ride. No snack. Even though we probably could use it. And just use that time to scroll on our phones and chat and enjoy the scenery.
As we were standing there waiting, I went in my bag to put my sunglasses away and realized. The baby bell cheeses!! The snack I had saved!! You should have seen how stupidly excited we got about these. We each had one and a half baby bells and shared some of her water and it was perfect. Made the hour so much easier.
Right before we made it to the end of the line my feet and ankles were really bothering me. Standing still hurts a lot more then walking. I took my boots off for a moment to stretch them out and that helped. And then it was time for our river journey.
This ride, on the whole, probably wasn't worth the hour wait but it was worth it because of the animatronic at the end. The ride is a boat, and you are literally going through the woods. And it was beautiful and the music and singing was lovely. But it wasn't particularly exciting. It was just nice. There were some screens, but they were better integrated so it wasn't to hokey. But when we got to the animatronic I was blown away. This thing moved in such a realistic way. Like it took my breath away I could have just sat with it and watched it for so long it was so real. I have no idea who she was. I never saw the movie. But she was incredible.
We got off of the boat and I felt like it was just to soon. I wished there was more. But that was okay, it was time to try the food.
There was a frozen drink that was apple and pear (desert leaf specifically, which Jess had misread early as dessert pear and we were trying to figure out for a long time what that could be and we had a big silly laugh about that) and a cream cheese and pineapple wonton wrapped treat. We got those and found a sunny place to sit.
I really enjoyed my wonton thing. I did not like the drink. It was to sweet. And I love sweet things so that's saying something. Once we were to got sitting in the sun we continued our journey. And headed back to Asia.
Jess wanted my feedback and rating/ranking between the two parks. And I think overall Animal Kingdom is better. The counties were fabulous and felt like like a show case and more real, I loved the animals, I liked that it was less hamfisting movies into the different spots. We also got to see Pocahontas twice! And she was beautiful. I really loved our day.
We would have French fries with spices and Sriracha mayo in Asia. And then wander around into a few more shops. Backtracking to Maharajah where we had started our day. And that's where we called it. Time to go.
We would get back towards the gate and go in the last few gift shops. Jess got a really nice animal Kingdom pin. We went to the last little shop where they had pin trading and had a nice conversation with the girl working that table, just about the concept of pin trading and how it's so nice. And as we were talking I saw in the shop behind her the cheetah backpack from earlier. I had not stopped thinking about it. Jess said I kept bringing it up. So I went back in and after checking online and finding it for the same price, I decided this would be my last plushie of the trip.
We named her Margarine (Margorie as a nickname). And I love her. She's so soft. I was holding her when we headed over to a bench so Jess could wait for me while I ran to a bathroom when we noticed that she still had a security tag on her! The ink releasing kind! Ugh oh. So we had to go back to the shop to get them to remove it and the guy at the counter felt so bad!! He also struggled to get it off but he got his manager and it was all fixed. Margarine was free.
We went and got the bus back to the hotel. And it was right there. No waiting. We had much better luck the rest of the day when it came to that. We got back to the hotel in one piece and we're only mostly dying. Thankfully the bottoms of my feet weren't as painful as yesterday. It was mostly my shins and ankles. Jess had gotten stiff and slow from sitting on the bus but after a few yards we were able to walk about the same pace and got back to the room as my body started burning and I desperately wanted to lay down.
After stripping down and putting away my jewelery I was able to sleep for most of an hour. Jess said I was making funny squeaking sounds which James has also said I do. She thinks I should go back to an ENT. I will consider it.
I felt kind of bad when Jess woke me up. She said it was 6 and I was like AM?? But no. PM. It was time to get dressed again and go to dinner. I got myself out back together and just felt a little quiet inside. We went to take the ferry this time. And we had to speed walk a little bit we made it to the one that was at the dock. And got to Disney springs before 7.
We had a plan. Rings, pins, dinner. Jess wanted a ring that said "baby" and the man who did this one was super fast! 15 minutes!
So while he was doing that we went to look at pins. And talked to the nice old lady at the desk. It was nice.
We had to get to our reservation though and that was about on the other side of the water. So we walked to Summer House. And this was much fancier then I expected. But it was great!
Our waiter was so nice and the food was excellent. We got a bunch of stuff to share. Potato salad deviled eggs, chips and a flight of salsa and guac, cheesy bread, and a split order of gluten free pasta. It was so much food and it was all so so so good.
We got some of it to go for snacks later. And after laughing with our waiter for a minute we headed into the night.
We decided to check out some of the stores we missed. I couldn't stand to be in the candy or m&m store for long it was so sickly sweet and powdery. But we still had a lot of fun.
I really liked the Coca Cola store. I decided to get myself a cup. I know I do not need a cup. But I loved that it looks like a diet Coke can and it has a straw. I have actually been so good with not buying nonsense this trip. I am really happy with all my things so far. And I have said no to many things! I'm having a great time.
We would continue our walk. Going in and out of shops. I liked the Lego store but it was to warm. We would end our journey getting a coffee for Jess to save for the morning. And then we headed back to our boat.
We did get a little lost and turned around. But when we found the exit and the dock the boat was right there and it was an easy journey back.
We are back in the hotel now. Showered and clean and holding it together. We put on a movie, Luca this time, and so far I love the art style. I have no idea what the story is so I am looking forward to how it unfolds. I am also really looking forward to sleep.
Tomorrow we go to HollyWood Studio. I have the least amount of expectations for this one. But I'm excited for the journey. If should be warmer but the wind will be stronger. So I am just hoping for a lovely time.
Sleep well everyone. I love you! Goodnight!

✓  Chocolate baking
Eating chocolate is pure joy, cooking with it a delight, even smelling it bewitching, but buying it shakes my faith in human nature.
The best chocolate is wonderful, but most is not worth buying and most People buy terrible stuff.
Good quality plain or dark chocolate will taste smooth not greasy, bitter not raw, intense not oversweet, with a long finish, not a cloying aftertaste.
But how do you know good quality?
Price is not a reliable guide - in fact supermarkets’ Own brands are usually excellent and are a good bargain when buying in bulk for cooking.
✓ The  quality and taste of chocolate is détermined by the quantity and quality of the Cocoa solids- the dry solids plus the added Cocoa butter- used in its production.
The quantity of solids, at least, IS indicated on the packet.
Couverture chocolate, used for fillings and icings, usually has around 55 per cent Cocoa solids, bitter chocolate around 65 per cent, and Super amer or extra bitter, best for puddings, fine cakes and eating, is just over 70 per cent.
Some chocolates labelled’ for cooking ‘ Can contain as little as 30 per cent Cocoa solids: the rest is sugar, fats and flavourings.
✓  The raw material for Chocolate is the Cocoa bean, found in the large yellow-green fruits of the Theobroma cacao tree which grows only within 20 degrees north or south of the equator.
Each tree yields enough beans to make around 2,5 kg of chocolate each year.
The best chocolate is made From a blend of beans- each type has its Own individual character and colour ranging From pale coffee through to dark mahogany Brown.
Store chocolate well away From other foods in an airtight container in a cool, dry place, because it Can easily be tainted by other Flavours.
✓  Avoid storing chocolate below 13°C, or in the fridge, as beads of moisture will form when you bring it to room temperature.
Don’t store in a hot kitchen(30°C or above) or it will développant a White bloom as the Cocoa butter Comes to the surface.
The bloom does not affect its taste however- it Can still used for cooking.
Chocolate begins melting at 30°C(that’s why it melts in the mouth) and Burns AT 110°C.
Melt it slowly and gradually as it easily becomes overheated and scorched, and turns into an unusable solid mass.
Chop it into evenly sized pieces so it melts at thé same rate.
✓ Place in a shallow, heatproof bowl set over a pan of streaming hot, not boiling, water.
The water must not touch the base of the bowl, and no drop of water or Steam should touch the chocolate or it will seize up.
Stir frequently, and remove from the heat as soon as it melts.

Chocolate Cakes:
Almond Chocolate Kugelhopf :
400 g strong white bread flour
½ teaspoon sea salt
15 g fresh yeast
60 g golden caster sugar
200 ml skimmed milk, lukewarm
3 medium eggs, beaten
100 g unsalted butter, softened
50 g slivered or flaked almonds
60 g plain chocolate, roughly chopped
Nut Coating :
25 g unsalted butter, very soft
50 g slivered or flaked almonds
icing sugar, for dusting
one 23 cm Kugelhopf mould
Makes 1 large Cake
To use easy-blend dried yeast, mix one 7g sachet with 140 g of the flour. Mix in the sugar and milk and let rise for 30 minutes.
Make a well in the remaining flour, add the salt, add the yeast liquid and eggs and proceed with the recipe.
✓ To make the nut coating, thickly butter the inside of the  Kugelhopf mould with the very soft butter, then press the almonds all around. Chill while preparing thé dough.
To make thé dough, mix the flour and salt in a large mixing bowl, then make a well in the centre.
Crumble thé yeast into a small bowl, then cream to a smooth liquid with the sugar and milk. Pour into the well, and work in enough flour to make a thick batter.
Cover with a damp tea towel, and leave at normal room temperature for 30 minutes.
The batter should look bubbly.
Add the eggs to the yeast liquid, stir until combined, then gradually beat in the flour to make a soft and very sticky dough.
Beat the dough in the bowl with your hand or with the dough hook in an electric mixer for about 5 minutes or until it becomes firmer, smooth, very elastic and shiny.
Work in the soft butter until thoroughly incorporated, then the almonds and chocolate.
When evenly mixed, carefully spoon the soft dough into the prepared mould(it should be half full).
Cover the mould with a damp tea towel and let rise at normal room temperature until the dough has almost doubled in size and has risen to about 2.5 cm below the rim of the mould-about 1 hour.
Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C(400°F) Gas 6 for about 45 minutes, or until the Cake is golden brown and a skewer inserted into the dough midway between the outer edge and inner tube comes out clean.
Leave to cool for 1 minute, then carefully unmould on to a wire rack and let cool completely.
Serve dusted with icing sugar.
Store in an airtight container and eat with 3 days or freeze for up to 1 month.
It can also be lightly toasted under a grill.
Variations:
Marbled Kugelhopf
Replace 50g of the strong white bread flour with 50 g sieved cocoa powder and 25 g sugar.
Replace the 60 g plain chocolate with a similar quantity of white chocolate, roughly chopped. Proceed as in the main recipe.

Sultana Kugelhopf
Replace 50g of the strong white bread flour with 50g sieved cocoa powder and 25 g sugar.
Replace the 60 g plain Chocolate with a similar quantity of sultanas or raisins. Proceed as in the main recipe.
Note: both cocoa variations of this recipe are delicious toasted and spread with peanut butter.
This pretty, yeast coffee-time cake is made in a traditional earthenware mould, a tube pan or non-stick ring mould. Serve it either plain or toasted.

To add to Travis being a good dude here's a quote he said about domestic violence
“To be honest, it’s disgusting,” Kelce said during the Chiefs' media availability that kicked off Super Bowl 55 week. “I don’t even want to talk about it. It has nothing to do with the NFL. It’s ridiculous that a guy like that even had a job. He shouldn’t have been …”
Kelce’s voice cracked with emotion as he continued.
“What’s happened with that young lady, there’s no reason for that in this world. And he should be dealt with accordingly. I don’t even want to talk about that. It’s a very touchy subject. … I think everybody understands that that’s just flat-out wrong.”
that is a really surprisingly thoughtful and appropriate quote FOR an nfl guy

Vinegar Pie
After some Googling this pie made me go ooooh.
Vinegar Pie is also known as Desperation Pie and was made when people had trouble finding flavourings for pie, so used vinegar instead.
The recipe I used has nutmeg too, because how can I resist nutmeg? And the recipe is super simple.
The recipe calls for a pie base so I started here:
Ingredients
220 g flour
50 g soft icing sugar, sifted
15 g almond meal
1/4 tsp salt
100g butter, unsalted, cold, cut into 1cm cubes
1 large egg, at room temperature (55-60g)
I sifted the dry ingredients together, put it in the food processor, added the cubed butter, then pulsed until it was all bread crumbly and mixed.
Next I added the egg and pulsed again until everything was wet and mixed through.
Then I kneaded the pastry on the counter into a smooth ball. Flattened it into a disc, put it in a covered bowl and refrigerated for 30 minute.
Tumblr media
After 30mims I rolled it out to fit my tart tin.
I pricked the base of the pastry with a fork and chilled it in the tart tin for about 30 minute
Tumblr media
While the pastry chilled I collected my filling ingredients:
4 large eggs
310g sugar
56g butter, melted
22.5ml apple cider vinegar
5ml vanilla extract
generous sprinkle of nutmeg
While the pastry baked at 200°C for 15mins, (I didn't bother with baking weights, it didn't puff) I combined the eggs, sugar, butter, vinegar, vanilla extract and nutmeg.
Tumblr media
I whisked it until combined (so.easy)...
Tumblr media
...then poured the filling into the pre-baked pie shell.
Tumblr media
Then I popped it back into the oven for 35mins at 180°C until it was set but still wobbly.
Tumblr media
And let me tell you. Yum. Hot or (I presume) cold, it is soooo good.
Tumblr media
I decided to chuck in as much nutmeg as my heart asked for (brilliant choice) before baking, and I only had apple cider vinegar, so the pie wasn't very tart (geddit?), so to cut the sweetness I'll definitely add some whipped cream to my next slice .
And the pastry? Uh-mazing.
