who do you think in the animorphs ended up still being the least close to each other? because obviously a lot of them are best friends, jake and marco, cassie and rachel, tobias and ax, and some of them are dating etc but which pairing do you think never really developed/got closer? or do you think by the end of the series they were all as close to each other as they could be?
To me, the two that stand out as being the least close, and staying that way, are Rachel and Ax. They mention discomfort with each other as early as #5, and Rachel's narration in #7 specifies that she's glad Ax is fighting with them but isn't sure if he's their friend. As late as #51, Ax considers Rachel a potential threat to the Animorphs' cause and goes out of his way to avoid trusting her.
In MM3 and in #37, Rachel's pretty snappish with Ax as she tries to lead the team, because she senses (correctly) that he doesn't respect her as leader nearly as much as he does Jake. In #18, Rachel is the harshest toward Ax about his decision to support the andalites over his own team, and in #46 Ax mentions being worried about Rachel more than any other Animorph.
Part of why I find their friction fascinating: it originates in their being so alike. They're the ones eager for battle at the start of the war, Ax because he's been raised on tales of Elfangor's glory and Rachel because she's champing at the bit of being feminine without being small or weak. They get their hands dirtiest throughout, from together killing the random Hessians in MM3 to advocating for wiping out the nartec in #36. It all culminates when Rachel makes the most brutal kill (Tom) and Ax makes the single largest (the Pool ship) during the final battle. Rachel sees her own darkness reflected back when she looks at Ax, and Ax sees his in Rachel. They're a dangerous combination, hijacking airplanes and boiling noncombatants alive to get their way. And they both need Tobias around to keep them sane.

A hero infiltrating supervillain’s base only to find a severely malnourished and miserable villain cleaning the floors.
They lock eyes and there’s a dead glint in villains gaze.
Hero is horrified. “I- I thought you were second in command.”
Villain slowly stands up, the chain on their ankles rattling. “I was. Until I let you go.”
A heartbeat of a pause. An almost apologetic look. “I can’t show you mercy again. Not now, not ever.” And then they call for Supervillain.

Prompt #10
Little things
Masterlist
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Stoic, human weapon or team leader whumpee, who has been through hell and back countless times. The team knows this and due to Whumpee's stoic and cold nature, everyone tends to keep their distance, thinking they’re a ticking time bomb.
One day, the new member of the team is looking for them, needing to inform them of the upcoming team meeting. They've heard the rumors, they've noticed how the others keep their distance, so naturally, they're quite nervous. Though they themself haven't spent nearly enough time around Whumpee to form their own opinion, nor confirm/deny the rumors. They acknowledge this and swallow their anxiety.
They knock on whumpee's bedroom door and when there's no answer, they slowly and hesitantly open the door. There's no one there. What they do see, however is yarn splayed on the bed. They don't think much of it and close the door as they turn to leave and continue their search.
They enter the kitchen and freeze when they see Whumpee, of all people, pulling cookies from the oven.
...
I have a few ideas of where it could go from here but don't want to turn this into a whole story lol. Idk, lmk if you'd like me to write one tho.
Anyway, just stoic/traumatized whumpees finding peace in small things like baking, knitting/crocheting, etc.

Febuwhump: Day Five
Prompt: Not Trusting Reality
Tumblr media
Caretaker ran ahead of Team. They made sure Whumper wasn’t home before rushing in, the rest of the team clearing the house while Caretaker ran downstairs to the basement; to Whumpee.
They flicked on the light as they reached the bottom and gasped. Whumpee was chained to the back wall. Her arms were spread wide to her sides, shackled at the wrists while a thick metal band was wrapped around her throat. She was in scraps of clothing. Her bralette and what looked like boxer shorts.
She didn’t lift her head when the lights flickered. Fear grabbed Caretaker’s throat and forced their limbs forward, mumbling Whumpee’s name. “No, no, no. Whumpee, please… please don’t be dead.”
Caretaker grabbed her cheeks in his hands, lifting her heavy head. God she was so much skinnier than last time he saw her… what did— Whumper would pay for what he did to her. Caretaker would make sure he’d suffer.
Whumpee moaned. Caretaker’s heart fluttered in his chest and he gasped. “Whumpee, hey,” he said softly. “Whumpee it’s me. It’s Caretaker.”
Whumpee opened her eyes. For a moment she stared at him as if he were a ghost. Then recognition flashed across her eyes. “It’s me,” Caretaker continued. “I’m here with team. We’re here to rescue you.”
Whumpee’s eyes widened with fear. “No! No! NO! NO!” Whumpee screamed, thrashing in her restraints. “No! NO! NO! NO! I WAS GOOD! I WAS GOOD! PLEASE YOU PROMISED!”
Caretaker grabbed her, trying to still Whumpee’s jerking movements that looked painful. Whumpee’s head shot forward, neck straining as she gnashed her teeth at Caretaker going to bite him.
Caretaker recoiled. “Whumpee! It’s me! It’s real.”
“YOU PROMISED YOU WOULDN’T MAKE ME SEE THEM ANYMORE, PLEASE WHUMPER! PLEASE!” She wailed like a banshee. “I was good! I was good. I have been so good. I obeyed. I followed the rules. Why?! Why! Why! WHY! WHY!”
“Whumpe—”
Rage contorted Whumpee’s red face. “GET AWAY FROM ME!” She roared. Then she started growling and snapped her head back against the concrete wall of the basement. Caretaker lurched forward, putting a hand between her head and the wall.
“GET AWAY! GET AWAY!” She didn’t stop trying to slam her head against the wall. She was acting like a wild animal, thrashing in the chains that held her firm.
“Caretaker?” Leader asked as he descended the steps. He paused when his eyes found Whumpee. Caretaker turned his pleading gaze to Leader.
“Help me! I don’t know what he did. She— she… she doesn’t think it’s real. That we’re… actually here.”
Whumpee slackened when she saw Leader. All of a sudden her fight left her and she went boneless in the chains. Leader stepped in cautiously, a warm smile on his face.
“Hey, Whumpee. You remember me?”
“I was good,” she whimpered. “Please, don’t. I was good. I’ll be good. I’ll be… I’ll be better I promise.”
“Whumpee, it’s Leader,” Caretaker said, but Whumpee trembled in her chains. Tears welled behind her eyes as she kept her head bent. Submissive.
“Please. I was good. I’ll be good, Whumper, please.”
Leader and Caretaker froze. “Whumper… please stop. I can’t see them. I can’t see Caretaker, please, I was good.”
Rogue barrelled down the steps. “Guys, what’s the hold up?”
She was walking towards Whumpee before Whumpee could cry out or protest. She lifted her hands to the chains and they burned a radioactive red, melting the chains that held Whumpee to the wall. First on her hands and then the one with the collar around her neck.
Rogue looked at Caretaker pointedly. “Well? Grab her and let’s go.”
Whumpee looked up with wide eyes. “W-what?” Her hands fell heavy to her sides, slapping against her thighs. She glanced at Leader. “What’re you doing? Stop it! You— you never made them free me.”
“Whumpee, I’m not Whumper,” Leader said, his voice thicker than before.
“Don’t— Stop them! No! Get off ME!” Whumpee screamed as Caretaker picked her up bridal style. She thrashed in his hold, but he held her firm as she squirmed.
“Stop! STOP! NO! WHUMPER I DON’T WANT THIS! I DON’T— I’M SORRY!” She screamed as Caretaker walked past Leader and took to the stairs.
Leader stood frozen, staring at the place Whumpee was. Whumper had… Whumper had made her think that Leader was… Leader was him? A hand on his shoulder startled him and he glanced up to see Rogue, her face impassive but he could sense her unease.
“We’ll get her back, Leader. We’ll undo what Whumper did to make her think that you… are a threat.”
“I…” Leader began, but words caught in his throat. What could he even say?
“Come on,” Rogue said, turning him and pushing him ahead of her to the stairs. “Everything will be fine. We have her now. She’s safe.”
Leader couldn’t stop the knot of dread tying itself in his gut. Whumper would… he tightened his hands into fists and took a deep breath.
No. First, get Whumpee better. Then… then they can get revenge.

Framed or Betrayed (Teammate Whump/Angst)
Teammate let out a quiet grunt, squirming futile against the firm boot pressing into their back.
"You really think we wouldn't find out, huh?
Teammate's fists curled into the wet mud, eyes widened as they strained to catch a glimpse of their attacker.
"..L-Leader?"
"Don't play dumb with me," Leader snapped as he stooped down, rainwater trickling down his pistol to pool on Teammate's cheek. "You know what you did."
Teammate's mouth opened, heart thudding against the ground as words struggled to form. "I- Wh.. What?"
"You sold us out! How.." Leader swallowed. "I never thought- you..."
Teammate's breath hitched, eyes blown wide as they couldn't quite turn to face him, cheek still half-squashed into the dirt. "I didn't- I- I would never."
They gritted their teeth, nothing but the pitter of rain hitting the soil to fill the brief silence that passed.
"Liar."

So, in one of episodes of Spy x Family, during one of Yor's missions, her butt was shot which resulted in her being constantly grumpy from pain, she couldn't tell her husband Loid about it and husband himself couldn't figure out.
So, my request, some group of people tried to attack reader (either to catch her, during one of the missions or attempt to assassinate), they managed to destroy a group, but one of still alive members attempted to kill them, but shoots in the reader's butt instead, which results to them being in pain and constantly refusing to sit down, but they didn't want to confess as it's too embarrassing for them. Request for Kafka, Jing Yuan, Aventurine, Blade, Feixiao, Silver Wolf and Firefly. (Can be read as platonic or romantic)

Kafka always carried herself with poise, even in the face of danger. When a group of mercenaries ambushed you during a mission, her calm, calculated demeanor turned the chaos into a graceful symphony of destruction. She took down most of the attackers, making them drop their weapons and stand like obedient puppets.
But as you finished off the last assailant, a desperate grunt hidden among the rubble fired one last shot. The bullet hit its mark: your rear. The sharp pain made you yelp, but you quickly covered it with a cough, unwilling to let Kafka see you falter.
She turned to you, her eyes narrowing. "Are you alright, darling? You’re limping a bit."
You waved her off, refusing to meet her gaze. "Just a scratch. Let’s move."
Kafka smirked knowingly but didn’t press further. Yet, as the mission progressed, you found yourself increasingly irritable. The throbbing pain made sitting impossible, and standing still was no better. During a stakeout, Kafka finally addressed the elephant in the room.
"You’ve been pacing for the past ten minutes. What’s wrong?" she asked, leaning against the wall with her signature grace.
You froze. "Nothing. Just restless."
Her smile widened, a teasing glint in her eyes. "You’re a terrible liar. Did one of those grunts actually manage to hurt you?"
"N-no!" you blurted, too quickly.
She stepped closer, her voice a silky whisper. "Oh, I see. You’re too embarrassed to admit it, aren’t you? Let me guess—lower body, perhaps?"
Your flushed silence was answer enough. Kafka chuckled, a rich, amused sound. "I won’t press you further, but next time, don’t let pride get in the way of your health. We wouldn’t want you too sore to enjoy the spoils of victory."
Her wink made your cheeks burn hotter than the bullet wound, but you knew she’d keep your secret—for now.
Tumblr media
Blade was no stranger to danger. He was always the first to step into a fight, his cracked sword cleaving through enemies with precision. During the ambush, he moved like a shadow, dispatching attackers before they even realized he was there.
You held your own, but one assailant got lucky. The moment you turned your back, a gunshot rang out, and sharp pain bloomed in your backside. You stumbled but quickly straightened, refusing to show weakness.
Blade noticed your wince but said nothing, his eyes briefly flicking to you before returning to the battlefield. Once the last enemy fell, he sheathed his sword and walked over.
"You’re hurt," he said bluntly, his gaze piercing.
"It’s nothing," you replied through gritted teeth.
He raised an eyebrow, unconvinced. "You’re favoring your left side. What happened?"
"I said it’s fine," you snapped, your irritation fueled by both pain and embarrassment.
Blade’s expression didn’t change, but his eyes softened—just slightly. "If you’re injured, it’s better to address it now. Pride won’t stop infection."
You bit back a groan as the pain flared again. "It’s... not serious. Just leave it."
To your surprise, Blade didn’t push further. Instead, he turned and started walking. "Suit yourself. But if you collapse later, don’t expect sympathy."
His dry tone was infuriating, but the slight smirk you caught as he turned away told you he knew exactly what had happened—and he wasn’t letting you off the hook.
Tumblr media
Silver Wolf treated every mission like a level in her favorite game. This one had been particularly fun—an ambush filled with “noobs” who underestimated her hacking skills and combat prowess. With her “aether editing” ability, she turned the tide easily, and you were right there beside her, holding your own.
That is, until a stray bullet hit you square in the rear. You bit your tongue to keep from crying out, your pride refusing to let Silver Wolf see your pain.
When the dust settled, she turned to you, grinning. "That was sick! You okay, though? You’re walking funny."
"Fine," you muttered, trying to play it cool.
She tilted her head, her purple glasses catching the light. "Really? 'Cause it looks like you’re trying not to sit on a spike."
"I’m fine," you repeated, more forcefully this time.
Silver Wolf raised an eyebrow, clearly unconvinced. "Alright, whatever. But if you’re gonna keep standing during our post-mission chill time, I’m definitely gonna roast you for it."
You grumbled under your breath, refusing to meet her gaze as you leaned awkwardly against a wall. As she pulled out her game console and plopped onto the ground, she smirked up at you.
"By the way," she said casually, not looking up from her screen, "next time you take a bullet to the butt, just say so. I could’ve hacked their aim, y’know."
Your face turned beet red, and Silver Wolf’s laughter echoed through the room.
The ambush had been swift and chaotic, leaving you and Firefly back-to-back in a flurry of gunfire and explosions. The Stellaron Hunter’s sharp instincts saved you both more than once, her hair catching the light as she darted through the battlefield like a ghost.
Tumblr media
The last attacker, desperate and cornered, aimed his weapon recklessly. Firefly moved to block, but the bullet veered off course, striking you in the most humiliating place imaginable.
You hissed in pain, staggering. Firefly turned immediately, her eyes filled with concern. “Are you hurt?”
“No!” you blurted, too quickly. “It’s nothing! Let’s just… move on.”
Firefly’s brow furrowed, but she nodded, respecting your privacy. However, as the mission progressed, your behavior became impossible to ignore. You avoided sitting, leaned against walls in odd positions, and grimaced every time you took a step.
“Okay,” Firefly said finally, crossing her arms. “What’s wrong? Don’t say ‘nothing.’ I’ve seen you dodge Swarm projectiles more gracefully than this.”
You sighed, heat rising to your cheeks. “It’s… personal.”
Firefly’s gaze softened. “You don’t have to tell me, but if it’s serious, we should get it treated. I won’t judge.”
Her sincerity caught you off guard. While you still couldn’t bring yourself to admit the truth, her support made the pain a little more bearable.
Later, as you limped off to find a private place to rest, Firefly called out, her voice tinged with humor. “Just don’t make it worse, okay? The Hunters can’t afford to lose someone as stubborn as you.”
Her teasing smile reminded you that even in embarrassment, you weren’t alone.

The medic leaned over his captain, wiping away the sweat on his forehead with a damp cloth. The man himself was out cold, as he had been for the past day. Tan skin had become a pale shade and a strong body had been reduced to a limp shell of itself. Heavy breathing became the only thing that showed he was still alive and struggling to be.
He wasn't getting better.
The wound had festered and the infection must have gotten into his bloodstream. Medic had been too late to notice and the captain had been too occupied trying to keep as many of his men alive as he could whilst completing their mission. The platoon stopped advancing yesterday when their captain collapsed right in front of them.
But the general had had enough. One man wasn't enough reason to abandon their assignment.
"He can't even sit up by himself, sir! He won't survive if we-" "We aren't bringing him. He will stay here," "With all due respect sir, this platoon needs their medic with them-" "I said that your captain is staying here. Not you," The medic's heart dropped when the general's words started to register. He was being ordered to leave behind his captain. His brother by everything but blood. "Look at him, medic. I doubt he will still be alive by tommorow. You're wasting your supplies," "General! He isn't dead yet! He just needs time-" "Time that we do not have, soldier. We will move by sunrise tommorow. We are advancing without him,"
A small whine answered the general before the medic could, making both men turn to the weak body on the cot. The general sighs as he walks to the young man's side, placing a gentle hand on a too warm forehead. The captain's eyes were hardly open, but he was conscious and had heard the whole conversation. "I'm sorry, son. You were a good soldier and one of my best men. But this mission is of higher importance," "My men...take care of 'em, sir," "I will. For your own good, you need to let go. You don't need to hold on anymore, son. You've done your part," The medic's hand trembled as he watched the two high ranks.
"m' sorry, sir...dying...is not as easy as I thought," "I know. Which is why I will help you. You don't have to suffer like this anymore, son," The general said as he passed the medic a small packet of white powder. "Sir?" "It's cyanide. Mix some into water and feed it to him tonight," "You're...you're asking me to kill him, sir?" "He's in pain, soldier. You're going to do him a favour,"
The captain was partially conscious now but he had seen the powder. Medic made the mistake of meeting the captain's eyes, seeing the fear in them under the haze of sickness. "I will allow you to bury him properly before we depart. Make sure it is done by sunrise," the general said before leaving the tent.
-----
Medic cradled his captain's upper torso, the mixed concoction of poison ready in a canteen. The captain's head laid limp against Medic's shoulder. Medic noticed that his captain was trembling.
No, wait. It was him.
He was trembling.
A weak voice pulled the medic out of his haze. "Medic...I...I don't want to die," a voice he didn't recognize said, soft but shaky. "But...you're in...pain. You won't survive anyway-" "I don't wanna die...please...I'm scared..."
Medic put the canteen down, instead wrapping his arms tightly around his captain. The captain was built bigger than medic, but he seemed incredibly small in his brother's arms. "Okay. Okay. You're not going to die, alright? I'm not...I won't do it," "But...the orders..." "Fuck the orders. I am a medic. Your medic. My task is to keep the men alive, not kill them,"
The captain didn't answer, savouring the warmth of his brother holding him.

One trope I really enjoy is "forced family". A group of misfits thrown into the same space or situation, expected to bond and have each other's backs, without knowing a single thing about the people around them, and completely unable to change their circumstances.
Starts out awkward - it's no fun if they click right away, but they learn to work together. Maybe they do find a close bond later down the line, maybe familiarity breeds resentment and they end up wanting to kill each other, or maybe they're still awkward, unsure of what to do, when they finally part ways.

Many of us have loved including things Rouge can teach Shadow and Omega about life and the world, but I think we should not neglect the things that they can teach her:
Shadow is possibly well versed in medical care and treatment due to his time on the Ark. He could be a fantastic nurse, if his bedside manners weren't so poor.
Omega has access to the internet at most times. He'd probably be really annoying about correcting her. Actually, maybe she shuts off the internet sometimes.
Shadow might have a large amount of world war ii/ early cold war knowledge, not often called on but still insightful.
Omega can read people's body language with hawk-like precision. Combined with her knowledge, they make a great team at scanning a room for anything susicious, providing he has the attention for it.
They are both excellent at intimidation. I think as time goes on she will use that tool more than manipulation/ buddying up to people to backstab them, as once her reputation is known she finds it harder to trick people

The Nicktoons Team Dynamics
@rynewartworks, @pencildude
I'd figured I had to do this eventually.
Jimmy:
Being the leader of the team, Jimmy is respected and trusted by everyone. They know that if there's a problem, he usually has something to fix it.
Out of the entire team, he's the closest with Timmy, largely thanks to them having known each other the longest.
He's also pretty close with Jenny and Tommy.
Jimmy usually helps gives Jenny a quick repair when she needs it or some special upgrade.
As for Tommy, Jimmy was the one who made his weapons to help him fight.
Tommy sometimes even helps Jimmy whenever he's inventing and spitballs some ideas for new inventions.
He's on really good terms with SpongeBob and Arnold.
Same goes for Danny, Aang and Tak, however, it did take a little while.
Largely because the trio previously found themselves in frequent arguments with Jimmy for his infamous denial of the mystic and supernatural.
Luckily, he did eventually grow out of that.
He's on good terms with Manny and Otto, but he can often find himself exasperated and annoyed by their antics.
There's been SO many times these two have brought trouble to their team.
And for Zim......he's not very fond of him.
SpongeBob:
SpongeBob, alongside Aang and Arnold, is the friend everyone likes.
He's close with just about everyone, and they all love the guy.
He's even close with Zim! And that's a feat in itself.
Though out of everyone, he's the closest with Danny.
They're basically like brothers.
They both kinda switch between older and younger brother.
Kinda ironic given that SpongeBob is literally the oldest member of the team.
He's also the closest with Otto, due to their shared interest in extreme sports.
Timmy:
Timmy is basically the little brother of the team.
Everyone (except for Zim) is always looking out for the guy.
Even Arnold, despite him being the youngest member of the team.
Reason why: his home life.
Neglectful parents, constant bullies, his own teacher literally being his arch-nemesis that wants him dead, and an abusive babysitter.
As a result, they always make to help him as much as they can.
Out of the group, he's by far the closest with Jimmy, for the reason I mentioned earlier.
He's also pretty close with Tak, due to their similar backgrounds in magic.
Danny:
Danny is one of the three older sibling figures of the team, alongside Jenny and Tak.
He's always making sure the younger members (except Zim) and SpongeBob are okay.
As stated earlier, he's the closest with SpongeBob.
He's also pretty close with the aforementioned Jenny, Tak and Manny.
Largely since when they all first joined, they were the only teenagers of the group.
So they could really connect and relate to each other in ways the others kinda couldn't at the time.
He's particularly close with Jenny, as they were really able to relate to each other due to their shared backgrounds as being outcasts and....being in the closet.
Jenny:
As previously stated, Jenny is one of the three older sibling figures of team.
Always looking out for SpongeBob and the younger members (except Zim).
As stated before, she's the closest with Jimmy, Danny, Tak and Manny.
Aang:
As previously stated, Aang is one of three friends the everyone likes.
And like SpongeBob, he's even close to Zim!
Among the group, he's the closest with Arnold, SpongeBob, Tak and Otto.
He and Arnold are basically brothers, thanks to their shared optimistic nature and desire to help those in need, as he spends a lot of spare time over in Hillwood City.
He even considers Miles and Stella his parents in a way, as they've taken on the duty to look after this kid.
He and SpongeBob are close for their shared optimistic nature as well.
He and Tak because of their similar spirituality and background in mysticism.
He and Otto due to them being adrenaline junkies. They even tons of parkour together.
Manny:
While everyone is good terms with Manny (except Zim), they can often find themselves exasperated by him thanks to his antics.
Plus he often unintentionally brings trouble with him.
He's the closest with Danny, Jenny and Tak.
Danny especially given they're both superheroes.
Tak:
Tak is the other of the three older sibling figures.
Always looking out for SpongeBob and the younger members (except Zim).
In fact, he's one of the two most level-headed members of the team and generally serves as the voice of reason, alongside Arnold.
He's the closest with Timmy, Aang, Danny, Jenny and Manny.
Tommy:
Tommy is one of three resident fanboys of the team, alongside Otto and Arnold.
They all see their teammates (except Zim) as the coolest motherfuckers to ever live!
(And they are)
Whenever they do something cool, they're always gawking at it.
Tommy tends to make a lot of videos showcasing his adventures with the team, which he tend posts on his channel.
And they do pretty well.
Tommy is one good terms with everyone (once again, except Zim).
He's the closest with Jimmy, and the aforementioned Otto and Arnold.
In fact, the trio found common ground on the fact they were the most grounded members of the team and came from the more grounded worlds.
Otto:
Otto is another of the fanboy trio.
And like Manny, while everyone is on good terms with Otto (except Zim), they can often find themselves exasperated by him thanks to his antics.
Luckily, he doesn't bring as much trouble.
He's the closest with SpongeBob and Aang.
He's also pretty close with Tommy and Arnold.
Arnold:
Just like SpongeBob and Aang, Arnold is one of the friends the everyone likes.
He's also the other member of the fanboy trio.
He's the closest with Aang, Tommy, Tak and Otto.
Zim:
If you hadn't guessed it already, Zim is the friend nobody likes.
Pretty much the entire team just view him a nuisance thanks to his ego, bravado and incompetence.
Hell, still trying to remember when they even allowed him on the team in the first place.
The only members that don't hate him are SpongeBob, Aang and Arnold.
They're the only ones who remotely tolerate Zim and often try to keep him in check (in a way that doesn't involve threats or violence).

So Dabi and Toga joined the League together and Dabi and Compress work together really well, like know one another’s moves and can communicate great in battle. And Dabi is Tomura’s lieutenant and basically the guy actually in charge of planning and coordinating while Tomura’s got the vision and the resources. So I propose that the loyalty of the League is split between them. Cause like, what if Dabi joined and brought other recruits with him. Toga and Compress definitely, maybe Magne and Twice too. And that’s part of why Tomura lets him get away with so much and put him in charge of recruiting. Cause let’s be real, Dabi fries way too many people for him to keep that job if doesn’t already have some successes under his belt.
Anyway this post is a mess and I’m just gonna keep typing my train of thought about this and see where we end up now.
I just really love the partnership between Tomura and Dabi. It’s kinda hidden and definitely never explicitly stated, but Dabi is indisputably Tomura’s right hand man. Kurogiri follows his orders. But Tomura respects Dabi, and Dabi respects Tomura even if they suck at showing it. They listen to each other and are able to work together, sharing responsibility and trusting the other to be able to handle their shit. There’s still some friction of course, Tomura doesn’t trust Dabi’s interests to always align with his own and Dabi is only following Tomura because their interests align at the moment. And with like half the League being more loyal to Dabi than Tomura he’s gotta be a bit worried about a coup. That fear fades with time once he establishes that he actually cares about the league and shows it better than Dabi but it probably really affected their relationship at the beginning. Thus Tomura’s clumsy attempts to assert dominance over him
Also Dabi and Compress are totally tight. Pretty sure they were partners in crime before joining the league. Like imagine the possibilities with their quirks. Evidence disposal, theft, smuggling, intimidation, scams together the two of them could do anything! Compress has his anonymity, Dabi had his incredibly recognizable and scary face… they would be great.

Submitted by @red-river-potato01 - thanks!
Character A is the black sheep of the team and isn't very well-liked by most of the others. Because of this they often lash out at the others since all they ever get is negative feedback. When the rookie Character B joins, A assumes they'll be like the others, especially when the team warns B about them. Yet to their surprise, B ignores all that and is nice to A. A isn't sure what to think, but they soon become very protective of B, enough so that they put themselves in harm's way for them...

Forced Surrender - Leader Whump
"I knew you'd come."
Whumper's lips curled into that familiarly sickening smile as the metal gate rolled back, creaking on its hinges as Leader approached.
"I'm here, so let them go," he ordered.
Whumper's fingers waved a vague motion to the henchmen behind, promptly followed by kicking and scrapping against the gravelled ground.
"Get the hell off me!" Teammate One shouted, jerking against their restraints.
Three froze in their tracks, eyes widening as they landed on Leader. "Leader? What are you.."
"We had a deal," Leader answered, steely gaze refusing to break under Whumper's tangible glee.
"What? No- You can't-"
He stood rigid as the henchmen pushed his team past him, holding Whumper's gaze as he got to his knees.
"Leader-" Teammate Two started, desperation seeping into their voice. "Leader, don't do this!"
He set his jaw, composing himself from his teammate's distant pleas as Whumper drew closer, cuffs in hand.
"Leader! Please!"
Leader let out a breath as he drew his wrists together, offering them up to Whumper. He closed his eyes as cold metal wrapped around his skin, the light click of the cuffs a death sentence.

Hi,
This is my first time requesting, but do you think you could do a Wuthering Waves with platonic Firefly!reader? (say that there is a stellaron somewhere on Solaris 3, and it caused The Lament.  Some of the stellaron hunters are looking for it, possibly causing a bit of a mess in the process as they usually do when trying to get the stellaron.)  Eventually reader somehow meets Wuthering wave characters of your choice, and the whole reveal about them being a stellaron hunter is either dramatic where they need to become SAM, or they really trust them and is ready to tell them their story, entropy loss syndrome, all the things that makes Firefly such a tragic character.  How it ends after that, you decide.  I just really like Firefly.
if you decide you do not want to do this, feel free to ignore.

The air around Jinzhou had grown dense with a kind of tension. The city, usually bustling with life, now seemed eerily still as the Lament cast a shadow over everyone. The Stellaron, hidden somewhere on Solaris 3, was responsible for this unnatural phenomenon. As the Midnight Rangers fortified their defenses, rumors of an unusual team scouring the region for a certain object had reached Jiyan’s ears.
It didn’t take long for you and Jiyan to cross paths, and despite his stoic nature, there was an unspoken understanding between the two of you. The night was thick with the silence that only comes before an imminent storm.
“You’re not from here,” Jiyan remarked quietly, his sharp eyes narrowing slightly as he observed you. There was no judgment in his tone, just curiosity.
You nodded, knowing the truth would eventually surface. But you weren't ready for the weight of that conversation. You could feel the pull of the mysterious forces at work—the Stellaron, the Lament, everything that threatened to tear apart Jinzhou—and something in your gut told you that speaking to Jiyan might help you unravel the mess you were caught in.
“I’m not,” you said. “I’m... looking for something. And those looking for it are... causing chaos.”
“Chaos that you’re caught in, too,” Jiyan observed, sensing the underlying uncertainty in your words.
You met his eyes, not fully sure of how much to reveal. Jiyan’s eyes softened, though, just a fraction. His experience as the leader of the Midnight Rangers meant he’d seen many in your position—strangers caught between dangerous forces, all with their own battles to fight.
“You’re not alone,” Jiyan said, his voice firm yet reassuring. “We all fight something. But you must decide whether to let the chaos control you or take control of it.”
Your breath hitched. For all his calm exterior, there was a deep well of understanding behind his words. It wasn’t just battle tactics Jiyan knew—it was survival, in all its forms.
“Sometimes, we don’t get to choose,” you murmured.
His gaze lingered for a moment before he spoke again, his tone steady. “Then it’s your choice whether to break or keep fighting. The choice is never easy.”
In that moment, you felt a flicker of something you hadn't realized you had been missing: hope. It wasn’t the kind of hope that promised answers, but the kind that pushed you to keep going. With Jiyan beside you, his unshakable resolve felt like a shield. Perhaps, just perhaps, you could trust him with the truth, the fear, and the pain that had been building inside you.
Jiyan was ready to stand by your side, even without knowing your full story. That, in itself, was an act of leadership. His words weren’t meant to make you feel obligated to share, but the calm assurance in his voice made you realize that you might finally have someone who understood—someone who could help you face the chaos and the dangers ahead.

There was a quiet elegance to the way Mortefi moved, despite the intensity that seemed to emanate from him. His hair shimmered in the soft light of the laboratory as he meticulously examined a series of test results, barely sparing a glance for you. The laboratory’s immaculate order reflected the man’s own obsession with precision.
“Don’t touch anything,” he muttered, more to himself than to you, as he continued his work. “You’ll contaminate the readings.”
You hesitated before speaking, aware of the prickling tension between you. “I’m not here to get in your way. I just need some help.”
Mortefi finally looked up from his work, his piercing eyes narrowing. “Help? You came to me for help?” His voice was laced with skepticism. “You must know the risks of dealing with someone like me.”
You nodded. You’d heard the rumors—Mortefi was an expert, yes, but also a volatile force, his genius often overshadowed by his temper. But you were desperate. The Stellaron that had caused The Lament was too dangerous to ignore, and its power was already starting to fracture Solaris 3. If there was any hope of stopping it, Mortefi’s expertise was your only chance.
“The Stellaron is causing chaos,” you began, cautiously approaching the desk where he worked. “It’s on Solaris 3. I... I need to find it before it’s too late. And I think you can help me.”
For a moment, Mortefi was silent, studying you. His gaze softened, just slightly, before he let out a short sigh. “You’re desperate. I can see that much. But this is no simple task.”
You nodded again, feeling the weight of his scrutiny. You hadn’t come to him lightly, and you didn’t expect him to offer assistance easily.
“I’m not here to waste your time,” you said, hoping he would see the urgency. “I need to stop the Lament from spreading. It’s already beginning to affect everything.”
Mortefi’s face betrayed no emotion, but his eyes flashed with a knowing intensity. “And you think you’ll succeed where others have failed?”
You paused. He was right to question you. After all, you had no idea what you were truly dealing with. But you were tired of the cycle, tired of being dragged into things beyond your control. You wanted to do something that mattered.
“I don’t know if I’ll succeed,” you admitted. “But I know if I don’t try, we’ll all lose.”
The silence that followed was heavy with unspoken truths. Finally, Mortefi set aside his work, his demeanor shifting slightly. “Fine,” he said, his voice quiet but firm. “I’ll help you. But don’t mistake my assistance for anything beyond this. If you fail...”
He trailed off, but the implication hung in the air. You nodded, knowing that this might be the only chance you had to stop the looming disaster.
In that moment, you both understood the weight of the situation. Mortefi might not show it, but there was a certain gentleness beneath his calculated exterior, a willingness to assist despite his own reservations. The search for the Stellaron wasn’t just about solving the crisis—it was a test of trust. And even if it was a small step, it was enough to make you believe that you weren't facing this challenge alone anymore.

The lab was dimly lit, the quiet hum of machinery and the occasional clink of metal on metal providing a comforting backdrop to Xiangli’s focused work. He had always been a man of logic, precision, and introspection. But that didn’t mean he couldn’t recognize the complexity of human emotions when they walked into his space.
You stepped cautiously into the room, unsure of how to begin. You had heard of Xiangli’s brilliance, but it was his calm demeanor and compassionate presence that had drawn you to him. You needed someone to help you make sense of your circumstances—someone who might understand the tangled threads of your past.
“I didn’t expect visitors,” Xiangli remarked softly, his voice calm, betraying none of the hesitation you felt. His gaze was sharp but warm as he studied you. “What brings you here?”
You hesitated, struggling to find the right words. “I need help,” you said finally. “There’s something I’m looking for, and I think it’s tied to the Stellaron... It’s causing more than just destruction—it’s warping everything. I don’t know who else to turn to.”
Xiangli’s eyes softened as he set aside the tools he was working with. He seemed to sense the gravity in your words, and though his scientific curiosity was piqued, it was the underlying vulnerability that caught his attention.
“The Stellaron,” he repeated quietly, almost as if savoring the word. “It’s more than just a scientific curiosity, isn’t it? It’s tied to something greater.”
You nodded, feeling a weight lift slightly. “Yes. It’s causing... The Lament. The loss.”
“I’ve studied the Court of Savantae,” Xiangli mused, his voice distant as if contemplating the deeper implications. “But I’ve never encountered a force like this. You’re right to be concerned.”
His voice dropped lower. “But we can find it together. There’s truth to be uncovered in this mess. And you’re not alone in seeking it.”
You felt a surge of relief. Xiangli’s response wasn’t just academic—it was deeply personal, grounded in the understanding that some things required more than knowledge to solve. It required trust.
As you revealed your story, the weight of it seemed to lift with each word. Xiangli listened intently, his focus unwavering. And in that moment, you realized that the pursuit of truth didn’t always have to be a lonely journey. With Xiangli by your side, you felt a quiet hope growing in your chest—a belief that the Lament could be stopped, that the Stellaron's secrets could finally be unraveled.
