james is very fascinated by muggle cameras. lily and regulus notice this of course and lily pitches an idea: to get james a camera for his birthday. they save up the money they need for a higher quality camera and wrap it up in a fancy box and present it to him on his birthday. the smile james gives them is worth every penny they spent.

they expected the obsession that came after. james took his camera everywhere, always taking pictures, not just of the the scenery or himself, but of his friends and family and most importantly of lily and regulus. what they didn't expect was that james had all of their photos printed and compiled them into an album, decorated it and drew little hearts and stars and flowers on it and wrote down little notes of what had happened the day the photos were taken. he revealed this album to them on their anniversary as a shared gift.

Listen, listen I love Plus Size Lily Evans, glorious headcanon absolutely, however, SOME of you are making her plus size just for the sake of making her insecure, which is odd guys, plus size Lily is like one of my favorite headcanons too, but making her plus size JUST for the sake of making the whole “Lily fell first she just thought James was messing with her” thing work?? Odd, veeery odd

Lily Evans means the world to me and I honestly in my personal opinion hate the “she fell first, he fell harder” trope with jily, let her not like him, let Lily wait till James Potter changes into someone different from the annoying boy that was mean to her best friend, into someone who was kind, let years of James PINING (not harassing her PINING because also the headcanon that he harassed her on the daily is NOT cute) go by before Lily finally agrees to go on a date with him. Don’t even get me started on making her plus sized just for her PARTNERS to be upset with her body?? That’s just?? Right. I have seen too many posts today about fandom being an unfun place to be. Including a post someone made saying some fandom humans shouldn’t exist! Which is soooo cool and normal!

Since I don’t think it would be possible for me and Skye to inbox cleanse all affected humans-this post, if I can tag it properly, should hopefully dashboard cleanse effectively.

This is Skye. He is an assistance dog. In the marauders fandom especially-characters and concepts have been taken from the hands of someone that hates most of us. And we’ve written our own stories, built our own community where I know so many feel welcomed and happy and like they are safe to be themselves, or figure themselves out. By reading and writing about these characters. That is a wonderful thing-no matter what anyone might say. And honestly if this fandom has made even one person feel like this universe is a more habitable place to exist because they found a place in said fandom-well I’d say we’re doing pretty well.
