Wanted to make this for a while but...

Skulduggery Inspired Vampire Class (D&D 5e)

Vampires are humans afflicted with a magical disease spread through a bite. They live as normal humans during the day, but at nightfall, they rip off their own skin, revealing their true monstrous form—pale, hairless, with black eyes and consumed by bloodlust.

AC: 10 + Dexterity modifier (with possible armour adjustments).

HP (Level 1): 8 + Constitution modifier.

HP (Level 2–20): 6 + Constitution modifier per level after level 1.

Class Features by Level

Level 1 – Vampiric Affliction

Human by Day, Monster by Night: You retain your human form in daylight, but at nightfall, you transform into a monstrous predator.

Unarmed Strikes: Your claws and fangs deal 1d6 slashing or piercing damage.

Darkvision (120 ft.): You see in darkness as if it were dim light.

Supernatural Grace: You move with an unnatural fluidity. Your jump distance doubles, and you never make noise when walking.

Sunlight Weakness: If exposed to direct sunlight, you take 1d6 radiant damage per round, and your speed is halved.

Level 2 – Blood Hunger

Craving for Blood: If you do not drink one pint of fresh blood every two nights, you suffer 1 level of exhaustion, which can only be cured by feeding.

Vampiric Healing: When you drink blood, you heal HP equal to your level + Constitution modifier.

Bloodlust: If you smell fresh blood while injured, make a DC 12 Wisdom saving throw or enter a berserk state, attacking the nearest living creature.

Level 3 – The Infected & The Code

Creating Infected: If you bite a humanoid, they become an Infected—a mindless thrall under your control. After two nights, they fully turn into a vampire.

Vampire Code: Choose your path:

Loyalist (Code Bound)

+1 AC and advantage on Persuasion checks against other vampires.

You may not kill another vampire unless they attack you first.

Rogue (Codebreaker)

Advantage on Intimidation checks against vampires.

Other vampires despise you, and some may actively hunt you.

Chose Subclass

1. Vampire of the Night (The Predator)

2. Vampire Lord (The Aristocrat)

3. Revenant of Wrath (The Berserker)

4. Nightstalker (The Phantom)

Level 4 – Ability Score Improvement (ASI)

Level 5 – Silent Predator

Expertise in Stealth.

Hide as a bonus action.

Unnatural Speed: Movement speed increases by 10 ft.

Level 6 – Vampiric Senses

Enhanced Perception: You gain advantage on Perception checks based on hearing or smell.

Echolocation: If you are blinded, you can still "see" using your heightened senses within a 30 ft. radius.

Level 7 – Cursed Immortality

You no longer age.

Undying Will: When reduced to 0 HP, make a DC 15 Constitution saving throw. On a success, you drop to 1 HP instead of falling unconscious (once per long rest).

Level 8 – Ability Score Improvement (ASI)

Level 9 – Unnatural Speed

Your movement speed increases by 10 ft. (total +20 ft.).

Level 10 – Hemlock & Wolfsbane Serum

Resist the Curse: Drinking a portion of hemlock and wolfsbane allows you to remain in human form for 8 hours during the night.

Side Effects:

Disadvantage on Dexterity checks.

You feel itchy, irritable, and restless.

Concentration checks become harder (+2 to DC).

> Optional Rule: If you take multiple doses in a short time, roll 1d20. On a 15, the serum fails, and you transform anyway.

Level 11 – Blood Magic (For Magical Vampires)

If you were a magic user before becoming a vampire, you retain all spellcasting abilities.

If you have tasted a creature’s blood, you can sense its presence within 500 ft.

Level 12 – Ability Score Improvement (ASI)

Level 13 – Predator’s Tracking

If you have tasted a creature’s blood, you can track it perfectly for 24 hours, even across water or teleportation magic.

Level 14 – Master of the Hunt

You can smell blood within 1 mile if the target is wounded.

If you are tracking a wounded creature, your speed increases by 10 ft.

Level 15 – Improved Vampiric Regeneration

When you drink blood, you regain HP equal to 2 × your level + Constitution modifier.

Level 16 – Ability Score Improvement (ASI)

Level 17 – Saltwater Weakness

If you swallow salt water, make a DC 18 Constitution saving throw or begin suffocating.

If submerged in salt water, take 5d10 acid damage per round.

> Newly Turned Infected: Do not suffer this weakness until they fully transform.

Level 18 – Dark Revenant

If you are killed, your body reanimates at full HP after 24 hours, unless your corpse is destroyed by salt water.

While regenerating, you are in a comalike state and cannot act until fully restored.

Level 19 – Ability Score Improvement (ASI)

Level 20 – Eternal Nightmare

You cannot permanently die unless killed with salt water.

If you are reduced to 0 HP, you regenerate to full HP in 1 hour, unless completely destroyed by salt water.

If you are killed, your body will always revive in 24 hours, unless prevented by salt water.

Subclasses

1. Vampire of the Night (The Predator)

Role: Stealth, Assassination, and Control

Focus: Mobility, Stealth, and Physical Dominance

These vampires embrace the primal nature of their curse, focusing on supernatural agility and the hunt. They move like shadows, unseen and deadly, relying on their invisibility in darkness and their vampiric speed to overwhelm their foes before vanishing into the night.

Subclass Features:

Hunter’s Intuition (Level 3): You gain advantage on Perception checks made to track creatures that are wounded or have recently bled.

Silent Kill (Level 6): If you make an attack on a surprised or unaware target, you deal extra damage equal to your level on a successful hit.

Night’s Embrace (Level 10): You can move through shadows and can cast Misty Step (no spell slots) as a bonus action once per short rest.

Lord of the Hunt (Level 14): You can command a pack of Infected, making them fight for you. They are loyal to you for 24 hours after you create them.

2. Vampire Lord (The Aristocrat)

Role: Leadership, Charisma Based Abilities, and Influence

Focus: Manipulation, Commanding Vampires, and Cultivation of Power

Vampire Lords are born leaders who manipulate and dominate the world through charisma and influence. They use their powers to command their fellow vampires, amassing followers and creating a network of loyal thralls to bend others to their will. This subclass is ideal for players who want to be a vampire ruler, spreading their influence among both humans and vampires.

Subclass Features:

Dark Charisma (Level 3): Gain proficiency in Persuasion. When speaking with a vampire, you can force them to make a Wisdom saving throw (DC = 8 + your Charisma modifier + proficiency bonus). On a failed save, they must follow your commands for 1 hour.

Master of Shadows (Level 6): You can use Command as a bonus action, and any creature charmed by you has disadvantage on saving throws to resist your spells for 1 hour.

Thrall of the Night (Level 10): You can create vampiric thralls from humans you bite. These thralls will follow your orders, with full loyalty, and will act as spies or minions. You can have up to two thralls at a time.

Vampire Dominion (Level 14): You can use Dominate Monster on a vampire creature. If they fail the saving throw, they serve you willingly for 24 hours and cannot break free unless you are slain.

3. Revenant of Wrath (The Berserker)

Role: Frontline Combatant, Brutal Strength, and Rage

Focus: High Damage, Uncontrolled Fury, and Combat Resilience

These vampires embrace their primal nature, focusing on refuelled combat. They are unrelenting in battle, channelling their bloodlust into an unyielding fury. Their ability to resist damage and fight with reckless abandon makes them formidable opponents, especially when they are wounded and on the brink of collapse.

Subclass Features:

Vampiric Fury (Level 3): When you drop to half HP, you can enter a rage that lasts for 1 minute. During this time, you gain advantage on all Strength based attacks and resistance to bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing damage.

Blood Frenzy (Level 6): When you deal damage to a creature, you can take an additional attack with your claws or fangs as a bonus action.

Unstoppable Beast (Level 10): Once per long rest, when you drop to 0 HP, you can stand up with 1 HP and immediately make a full attack against the creature that knocked you down.

Vampire’s Rage (Level 14): You gain regeneration while raging. You heal 1d10 HP at the start of each of your turns while in a rage, and you can fight without being knocked unconscious unless destroyed by a critical hit or salt water.

4. Nightstalker (The Phantom)

Role: Stealth, Infiltration, and Subterfuge

Focus: Silent Movement, Invisibility, and Trickery

Nightstalker’s are vampires who revel in darkness and subterfuge, mastering the arts of stealth, evasion, and assassination. They can phase in and out of the shadows, striking without warning and disappearing before enemies can react. This subclass is ideal for players who prefer strategic combat or spying on their enemies.

Subclass Features:

Shadow meld (Level 3): You can use Hide as a bonus action, even in areas with light. When in dim light or darkness, you can disappear completely from sight for 1 turn, becoming effectively invisible.

Silent Strike (Level 6): You gain advantage on all attacks made from hiding or while unseen by your target.

Phase of Night (Level 10): As an action, you can become incorporeal for 1 minute, allowing you to move through solid objects, though you cannot make attacks or interact with physical objects during this time.

Master of Shadows (Level 14): You gain Etherealness for 1 minute per long rest. While in this form, you can pass through walls and move in total silence.

Subclass Summary:

Vampire of the Night: Stealth focused, ideal for quick, silent kills.

Blood Mage: Arcane magic user who controls blood and life force.

Vampire Lord: Charisma driven ruler who manipulates other vampires and gains followers.

Revenant of Wrath: Berserk vampire warrior, thrives in close combat with high damage and damage resistance.

Nightstalker: Master of stealth and trickery, ideal for subterfuge and infiltration.

Vampire Class – Ability Score Modifiers

When creating a Vampire character, apply the following stat modifiers to reflect their superhuman abilities and monstrous weaknesses:

Base Ability Score Increases (ASI) at Level 1

Strength: +2 (Enhanced physical power for melee combat)

Dexterity: +1 (Supernatural agility and grace)

Constitution: +1 (Undying endurance and resistance to damage)

Wisdom: 1 (Bloodlust weakens rational thinking and self-control

Suggested Priority for Stats

Your primary stats should depend on your playstyle:

Melee Combat Vampire: Focus on Strength & Constitution

Stealth & Agility Vampire: Focus on Dexterity & Constitution

Magic User Vampire: Keep Intelligence or Charisma high if you were a spellcaster before turning.

Stat Modifiers in Vampire Form (Nightfall Transformation)

At night, when in Vampire Form, you gain additional stat changes:

+1 to Strength & Dexterity (Your body becomes faster and stronger than a normal human's.)

2 to Wisdom (Bloodlust and primal instincts override logic.)

Your Intelligence & Charisma remain unchanged.

you don`t get how "i don`t care how brilliant she is" phrase is so deeply important to me cause spike is practically the only character through out the show who openly establishes and admits, to his own displeasure, that buffy summers is a really smart and bright person, who constantly one ups him and leaves him completely astonished by the schemes she so easily pulls off. willow maybe is another character who gets quite close to praising buffy`s intelligence, but she often sounds almost suprised by it, and we know that she likes being the superior one brains wise anyway. but to spike theres no surprise at all, he studied her closely, he sees her, he knows that a quick mind is needed for fighting unpredictable mosnters and you have to think on the spot, mid blow what your next 3 moves should be to not only gain control over the situation, but to use the space for your own advantage and defeat the opponent - and any other person would simply crumble under such pressure (we see everytime with the scoobies when they try to do buffy`s job).

buffy summers IS smart, she IS brilliant, she is the one who comes up with the most successful plans, she is the one on whom people rely (c`mon, wwbd exists because of that), she is able to simultaneously fight and come up with the wittiest and funniest puns - and you need to be quite clever to be this sharp and quick-witted. i wouldn`t even say that she is not booksmart but a street smart, cause under the right circumstances and with the right professors on her favourite topics she has a potential to be willow`s level book smart: we saw it when she got a pretty big score on her final exam at school, she loves poetry and clearly fascinated with language (william, heeeey~)we saw it in wild at hearts when professor walsh wanted her to lead the discussion, willow and buffy even had a bit of debate. she can be it, she just constantly gets discouraged by people in power around her cause they don`t want to give her the benefit of the doubt, cause they only see her as trouble, cause she gets easily distracted, cause they all are prejudiced as hell and don`t want to be proven wrong.

and i think buffy is quite used to such treatment which truly breaks my heart. so to one person to recognise her brillance despite all those obstacles is so incredibly important and touching because he sees her without that judgement and he doesn`t even know the impact he has with that vision of her. and even though he doesn`t say it directly to her and this scene follows by a funny transition (which i also like!), but it is so significant that somebody finally utters such words towards buffy.

DCxDP Prompt 17 :

Danny was very displeased, displeased at the fact that he had to be a quarter vampire.

Let him explain, Danny had been visiting Vlad for his annual Therapy session, Dan had told the boy that Vlad has been acting strange and isolating himself in his bedroom.

Danny speculated that maybe the man is... Doing evil things again to mess with Danny and so just as any other sane person would, He visited the man. He stepped into a dark and cold room, "Frootloop...?", he called out as he kept the door open Infront of him.

Without even giving the boy a second to process the darkness, Plasmius pounced on him and had dug his sharp teeth and fangs on his arm, Danny took only a few moments and threw Plasmius to the side, his eyes were glowing red.

Danny was cursing as Plasmius's Hair 'Horns' were actual horns now and he looked... Hungry.

Danny would not like to delve more into those new trauma memories but short to say but Plasmius had a more animalistic side to him due to his vampire shtick and it turns out he knows when it happens but simply forgot to tell Danny or Anyone about this situation.

Danny went home after having been bandaged by Dani, He felt weird ever since that day and for the past few days the sun had felt more hotter for him that he ended up using sunscreen often, he found Ectoplasm more... Delicious as well and when he happened to get injured and licked the blood off his arm due to something urging him, he slowly pieced everything together.

Danny started showcasing more vampiric features, his eyes had a red tint, his ears were pointier and his fangs sharper, slowly he's had more of an attraction to blood and Ectoplasm, being able to find or smell blood from afar.

Danny at some point tells jazz and she ofcourse accepts him wholeheartedly and protects him as much as she could, even going as far as intimidating the A-Listers enough that they'd leave Danny alone.

It... It didn't prove good for him though, The Sensors clocked him more as a ghost. It made Maddie and Jack extremely suspicious.

One morning Tucker and Sam had called him something about Maddie and Jack finding out, Danny was then caught especially at a time where Jazz was out of town.

We all know what happens in Bad Parents Maddie and Jack, They have him strapped to a table.

Jazz went home 3 days later and after finding out about what happened to Danny, she ran to the closest person she could get help from. Vlad.

The DC part ;

Danny had ran away with Jazz, Dan and Dani to Gotham, Apparently Vlad had bought them a Manor and Since Dan was the oldest he was the one who managed all the money and he was good at it.

Danny still had difficulty controlling the hunger, the Half Ghost Thing now along with having vampire stuff on him and still somehow being half human was the only thing keeping him sane and feel like he's in control of his body.

These instincts from 3 different species in one body fused to one causing him to get more confused and erratic with his behaviors, Dan resorts to taking Danny out at night and letting him ravage and feed on Criminals which Dan had specifically picked.

Meanwhilst the bats have been notified of Child and Human traffickers or anything of the same level crime that they don't feel bad about have been found dead with bite marks on their necks and their bodies drained of blood, It confused them ofcourse but no innocent bystanders or civilians was ever turned into a victim of this unknown assailant.

The public had nicknamed the supposed "Vampire Meta" As Apparition (Because Dracula was too cliché), One faithful night, a witness happens to see this strange person feed on a criminal.

A black haired teenage boy had their teeth sunken in the big man's neck, their eyes a red tint but it's obvious they were blue, said civilian immediately told the police which gave the bats a lead.

Witnesses starts to see more of him, Red Robin happens to encounter the younger boy on coincidence, his clothes were bloodied but he stared at the horizon of the city. The boy looked out of thought, his eyes hazed as Red Robin approached him, Danny turned his head at Red Robin almost immediately upon hearing his footsteps.

"Hello." He greets with a fanged but soft and innocent smile that made Red Robin's heart skip a beat. Just who is this boy? And why is Tim starting to have a crush for him.

You guys can take it from here, all my thoughts were, Halfa!Vamp!Danny and Dead Tired.

Jinjae vampire AU where Yoojin is the vampire

Supposedly I intend to finish and post this on Halloween but welp.

I think the idea of Yoojin being the vampire is neat since typically it's the stronger one that would be reimagine that way. I like the idea of Yoojin not being able to bite into Hyunjae’s skin on his own so Hyunjae has to cut his own skin so Yoojin can feed on his blood. Sung Hyunjae in particular would be into that me thinks.

I really enjoyed this detail from today's reading. Bram Stoker does such great work peppering in these small, eerie details about the castle to emphasize that Someone Lives Here, But People Don't Live Here. This is not a human-occupied residence. Dracula and his roommates who rudely eat his leftovers without asking brides don't interact with their house in the same way that humans would. Dracula has to do the cooking and cleaning himself because normally no one needs to do either of those things. Even the rooms that seem to be habitually used still look unoccupied and uncared-for. The doors physically fall apart and no one notices for years, probably because they don't normally use the doors that often. And as funny as "lizard fashion" is, it's also a very clever way of indicating that Dracula doesn't always see the world the way a human would. Why shouldn't he climb up and down the exterior walls? It's easy for him to do, and no one else around him is human enough to think it's strange.

Of course, a lot of this is also about the waste and ruin of the idle rich, not exclusively about monstrosity, but Stoker does a great job of combining the two themes while describing the condition of the house.

vampire au where all the s classes are vampires and yoojin is a vampire hunter.

Like imagine that yoojin came from a vampire hunter family but for some reason his younger brother Yoohyun was born as a vampire. Being the kind/ caring brother he is Yoojin could never kill his baby brother. So does the only sane thing and runs away with yoohyun.

But taking care of child especially a vampire is costly soo yoojin continues being a vampire hunter with a rule not harm young or innocent vampires.

Imagine how baffled both vampires and vampire hunters will be off yoojin who adopts vampires left and right and acting like they don't bite WHEN THEY Definitely DO (especially yoohyun)

Imagine ancient powerful vampire Sung hyunjae being in awe at the duality of Yoojin who won't hesitate to stab a vampire but will never be late to cook his kids breakfast.( also sung hyunjae has definitely be staked in the heart at least once by yoojin and still remains down bad ).

Seriously imagine the tension between the two of them and then imagine if Yoojin had amazing rare Taste blood.

I just think this au would be neat and I wonder if anyone has written something like this before so I can go read it.

beneath the surface of ink i bleed thoughts long kept silent, the parchment is a poor substitute for your gaze but it is all i am granted in times so dire. The crows accompany me in my melancholy and misery. How quiet the castle has become with the absence of your rustling silks, ever living chatter and your chiming laughter. I have become a brooding man without the warmth of your hand in mine. I breathe in your scent that lingers like mist in our chambers and i kiss your plump awaiting pillow to get only a glimpse of you, i do not.

These mortals clutch on to their pearls and god for solace, while having stolen mine. Come home to me dear, how long must torture be upon me?

I see ghosts of you everywhere, half-glimpsed reflections in the looking glass, the lingering flutter of your gown along a banister. I sit by the hearth, hands outstretched to the fire, and imagine your fingers lacing with mine, cold against cold, and still somehow, I burn.

How cruel this hunger can be...

Not the hunger for blood, though that too gnaws at me like a monster pulling on the strings that hold the path to darkness, but the hunger for you, my heart. My thirst, ancient as it is, has grown insatiable for your voice at dusk, for the soft sound you make, for the feel of your forehead pressed to mine as the dawn bleeds through the colored windows and we lie tangled, unscathed by ruthless symphony of time.

Come home and call me vain, come home and slap my head, kiss the corner of my mouth, and curse me further with his haunting love of yours, bind me with chains that i wear like jewels, with a pride unmatched even by gods.
