The Relationship Between Water and Spirits
In many ancient cultures, water has been seen not just as a substance, but as a symbol of sacred energy. Water has the unique ability to circulate energy when it flows, and to cause energy to stagnate when it is still. This characteristic plays an important role in traditional philosophies such as Feng Shui and Shamanism. It is believed that places where water flows well actively circulate energy and attract positive spiritual beings.
1.1 The Connection Between Water and Spiritual Energy
Flowing water has the power to purify energy, creating an environment where negative spiritual energy is less likely to stagnate. Near rivers and waterfalls, natural energy is actively flowing, making it easier for spiritual beings to gather. Conversely, stagnant water, such as in ponds or bathtubs, is thought to hold energy, making it more susceptible to negative influences. Therefore, around stagnant water, spiritual beings may become unstable and sometimes attract unpleasant energy.
The vibrations and light of water are also considered communication tools for spiritual beings. The light and ripples reflected on the surface of the water can serve as a means of conveying spiritual messages. In this way, water can be seen as a crucial element that adjusts the flow of spiritual energy and facilitates communication with spiritual beings.
1.2 The Mysterious Power of Water
Water is believed to hold an energy that we cannot fully understand scientifically. This mysterious power has been a significant theme in ancient religions and philosophies; water is both the source of life and a symbol of purification and rebirth. Water is said to possess the power of not just physical purification, but also spiritual cleansing, which is one reason why spiritual beings favor areas with water.
Water has the power to purify and refresh, attracting positive energy by maintaining cleanliness. In ancient Egypt, sacred water was used in rituals to drive away evil spirits and strengthen connections with the gods. Thus, water plays a crucial role in spiritual cleansing and is essential for harmonizing energy within the home.
Purifying and managing water sources is an essential element for harmonizing energy in the home. By regularly cleaning water areas and being conscious of flowing water, positive energy can be maintained. Using water for prayers or expressing gratitude while flowing water can also be effective in adjusting spiritual energy. In this way, water can be seen as a vital element for enhancing the spiritual aspects of our lives.

The Energy of Water and Purification
Since ancient times, water has been recognized as a "medium of emotions." From a psychological perspective, water is believed to have a profound impact on our emotions and thoughts. In particular, pure water is thought to possess high vibrations and positive energy. As a result, interacting with clear water often calms the mind and alleviates stress.
2.1 The Impact on Emotions and Thoughts
Using water for purification can reset the energy within the home and invite positive feelings. As a purification ritual, using water for prayers or flowing water with a sense of gratitude is a very effective way to consciously release negative energy. During the purification process, it is important to handle water with a specific intention. By holding a clear intention, such as "This water purifies my heart," the effects of purification can be enhanced.
In daily life, you can incorporate simple purification methods using water. While showering, visualizing the flowing water washing away negative energy from your body, or expressing gratitude for drinking water can contribute to mental cleansing. In this way, water is a crucial element that directly influences our emotions and thoughts, and by consciously utilizing it, we can maintain a better mental state.
2.2 The Energy of Water and Balance
Water is one of the five elements in nature and possesses elemental characteristics. Water is fluid and flexible, able to change shape according to its surroundings. This characteristic symbolizes a connection to the spiritual world and has the power to restore purification and balance. Water functions as a medium to harmonize with other elements (fire, earth, air) and plays a role in balancing overall energy.
By utilizing the energy of water within the home, you can harmonize spiritual energy and cultivate a warm environment. Incorporating water-symbolizing elements (such as fountains or aquariums) at the center of the home can improve the flow of energy and bring positive influences. Meditation and relaxation using water are also very effective for balancing the mind. Meditating while listening to the sound of water or gazing at flowing water can calm the mind and achieve inner harmony.
Regularly performing purification rituals with water can refresh the energy within the home and eliminate negative influences. Conducting water rituals on full moon nights can harmonize with cosmic energy and achieve deeper cleansing effects. In this way, water is an essential element for maintaining spiritual balance in our lives, and by consciously utilizing it, we can realize a richer life.

Spiritual Cleanup Methods for the Home
There are various methods for conducting spiritual purification with water in the home. Due to its characteristics, water serves as a very powerful medium for cleansing. First, a basic cleanup method involves cleaning with water. By consciously focusing on flowing water while cleaning, you can refresh the energy within the home and create a clean space.
3.1 Purification Methods Using Water
Specifically, while running water in the bathroom or kitchen, it is effective to visualize releasing negative energy. During this process, you can chant in your mind, "This water purifies my heart and space," to clarify your intention for cleansing. You can also create a purification spray using essential oils, adding a few drops to water to purify energy along with fragrance. Oils like lavender and sage are particularly effective for spiritual cleansing.
As a purification ritual, it is also recommended to perform water rituals at specific times. Conducting water purification on full moon nights can harmonize with cosmic energy and yield deeper cleansing effects. Thus, purification methods using water are very effective means for harmonizing energy in the home.
3.2 Everyday Uses of Water
In the home, how you use flowing water is important. By consciously using water for washing, cooking, and cleaning, you can enhance its purifying power. When washing your hands, consciously think, "This water cleanses my hands and washes away negative energy," transforming a daily act into a purification ritual.
It is also important to be mindful of water while cooking. When washing ingredients, expressing gratitude while flowing water can infuse positive energy into your cooking. Maintaining cleanliness and continuously filling your home with positive energy through daily water use is essential.
Don't forget to regularly clean water areas and improve the flow of energy. Particularly, places where water flows, like sinks and bathtubs, are prone to energy stagnation, so it is important to consciously clean them. While cleaning with water, being aware of the sound of flowing water and calming your mind to its rhythm can enhance the effectiveness of cleansing.
In this way, by being conscious of how you use water in the home, you can naturally conduct spiritual cleanup in your daily life. Water is a crucial element for harmonizing spiritual energy in our lives, and by consciously utilizing it, we can achieve a richer life.

Moon Magick
What Is A Moon Magick?
In many cultures around the world, practitioners have used the position of the moon, as well as the phases of the moon in their practice. Each phase of the moon is perfect for certain types of magickal workings. Not all witches depend on the particular moon phase. Many develop their own methods and techniques through trial and error to find out what works best. Those that do use the timing of the moon do so by choosing the moon phase most conducive to their magickal workings. This gives their magickal workings some extra lunar energy boost.

The Moon is beginning to gain strength as it grows in size, and goes from a new to a full Moon, this is a perfect time for growth and increasing things, growth within a relationship, financial growth, a time for learning and gaining knowledge.
If someone is thinking about pregnancy, this is a time of fertility, and it is an exceptional time for communication, in a business matter, or within a relationship. This is also an auspicious time for any legal matters, especially those where finances are concerned, if a healing spell, or healing of any type is needed, this is the time.

Instructions:
Get a glass bottle
Fill it with any type of water.
Leave the bottle with water out in the moonlight for a whole night.

I was watching a video about metal purification, and they were talking about using a mixture of nitric acid and hydrochloric acid called "Aqua Regia". Being that it's used to purify precious metals by dissolving and reconstituting them, and the Latin name sounds like something from alchemy. I assume this is something you've come across in your research? This sounds like a potential method for tricking a potential patron into thinking you could manufacture gold.
Yes! Aqua Regia is an alchemical term! It first shows up in the 1300s in the pseudo-jabirian corpus.
It comes from a longer tradition of referring to powerful acids with effusive names because of their ability to change metals. Zosimos is full of "divine waters" and "waters of life" and whatnot.

Cleansing & Charging: Keeping Your Tools Spiritually Clean
Your magical tools—crystals, tarot cards, jewelry, wands—absorb energy over time. Cleansing removes unwanted vibes, and charging fills them with power and purpose. Both are essential practices in energy-based witchcraft.
⸻
When to Cleanse:
• After heavy emotional use
• After someone else touches your tools
• During moon phases or seasonal transitions
• Whenever your tools feel “off” or heavy
⸻
Common Cleansing Methods:
• Smoke Cleansing: Pass items through incense smoke (e.g., lavender, rosemary, cedar)*
• Sound: Use bells, singing bowls, clapping, or music to disrupt stagnant energy
• Moonlight: Place under the full moon overnight for gentle purification
• Salt: Bury tools in sea salt or place around them (avoid with sensitive crystals!)
• Water: Use spring or moon water (only for waterproof items!)
• Visualization: Hold the item and visualize a white or golden light dissolving negative energy
⸻
Charging Your Tools:
Once cleansed, charge your tools with new intention.
• Sunlight: Energizing and fiery—great for tools used in action-based spells
• Moonlight: Intuitive, healing, and calm—perfect for divination tools
• Earth: Bury or rest tools on soil to ground and stabilize them
• Crystals: Place near a large quartz or selenite to absorb energy
• Spoken Word: Whisper your intention into the item and breathe power into it
⸻
Your tools are an extension of you. Treat them like sacred companions.

“Pallas Athena,” he greets softly. There is no affection in his voice, barely any intonation save for stiff, long-practiced neutrality. He continues wringing the water from his hair like she’s not intruding upon the sanctity of his purification ritual, “Have you already had your fill of victory?”
His calmness is… off-putting. Unnatural. Like the stillness of the sky before a horrible storm. She’s grown accustomed to his icy silences, the dark looks thrown when their father isn’t watching, the barely restrained disgust when he’s forced to hear her speak of her tactics and methods for obtaining unquestioned victory. She knows Apollo isn’t weak-stomached - of all their kin, he is perhaps the most practiced in death - but he is not a warrior. He finds no glory in death-bringing, no meaning in the intricacy of war-work. For him, it is a job, a task that must be completed for the continued equilibrium of the mortal world. It means he can still be hurt by war’s savagery. And he had been hurt. Repeatedly. She had personally seen to it. No matter how good he was at his work, Phoebus Apollo was still an emotional creature. Not weak-stomached perhaps, but still soft. Tender.
“I’ve something important to discuss.”
He’s languid when he unpins the remaining length of his hair. It falls in heavy, swirling waves, rich gold which threatens to drag upon the ground if he hadn’t deftly grabbed the ends and tied them round his thigh. “I know you have little concept of ceremony but this is a bit ridiculous don’t you think?”
His dark hand reaches for one of the vases of oil stacked neatly on a little jut of rock that acts as a ledge. Athena intercepts him, standing a little taller to convey her graveness. “It’s very important. I only need a moment of your time.”
She expects him to sigh, to cross his arms petulantly over his thin chest and complain that the war is over and so is her access to him every hour of every day. She expects to have to remind him that the battle isn’t finished ‘til the Acheans have vacated Trojan soil, to coax him from the little solitary cave of mourning he’s obviously built himself so he can see his job to its total completion.
Instead, she gets another look. Calm. Dark. Horrible.
Apollo does not sigh, but it is a very near thing. “A moment and nothing more.”
“The Acheans will begin their preparations to return soon,” she takes hold of the vase and carefully passes it to him. It smells saccharine, like rosewater or something similar. Like perfume to hide the stench of death. “I need your word that you will not hinder them on their journeys.”
Their fingers brush as Apollo accepts her offering. It’s always odd the way his warmth radiates past all logical barriers. Athena can feel the chill of the water alongside the heat of his fingertips. Somehow, it is the cold that lingers despite all his warmth. “I do not make impossible promises, Athena. I want Neoptolemus,” he says. She stops as though struck. “The rest will have my blessing if they but ask.”
“Phoebus— “
His eyes are like congealed blood when he looks at her, dark and tar-like upon an altar’s surface. “I want Neoptolemus. And I will have him.”
How similar his tone has become to Father’s in these long years acting as his mouthpiece! Though his words are soft, the finality in his voice brooks no argument. How easy it is for her heart to soar at the prospect of a fight. Her warrior’s mien shutters all her feelings away like she’d never taken her helmet off. Her clawed finger pokes harshly into his chest, he’s marble hard under her touch. “You already had Achilles. You’ve no right to his son.”
She regrets the words the moment they leave her lips. A stupid mistake; a feint when she should have dodged altogether.
Apollo’s face goes slack and still. Serene, one would say, if they were a fool who had never before seen the shape of his wrath. He stands to his full height, broad shouldered, the flickering ends of his hair the only signifier of his displeasure, “Who said a thing about Achilles?” She huffs but does not answer, unsure of where his anger lies if not at the foot of Pelides. “Polites. Eurypylus. Priam. Helenus’ jailor. Andromache’s conqueror. If it weren’t Odysseus’ lot, Neoptolemus would have thrown Scamandrius from the tops of the balcony himself. What other reasons do I need?”

Hibrides at the annual Rites to Anaemache on the Brilla River, checking to make sure she's doing this right. (Feat. a rather docile captive-bred leucistic hespaean, which has no fucking idea that it's a valuable offering and is about to die).
The hand position here is one of three key gestures against evil, a basic method of self-purification that can dispel minor evils, in this case being used to purify oneself before entering the sanctified riverbank.
Under normal conditions, yearly festivals are held during the peak of the dry season throughout Imperial Wardin, taking place at one or more temples to Anaemache that can be found on the banks of each major river. Anaemache is the Face of God that looks upon fresh water, rivers, rains, seasonal flooding, cyclic fertility, fertility of wild plants, the fertility of crops, female fertility, and pregnancies.
The rites have a set date at each temple (which may differ across the region due to variance in the average timing of the wet season), and take place over a full day, from one sunrise to the next.
The rites have a dual function. It takes place at the height of the dry season to encourage the return of the rains and the health of the river via the mass offerings that occur, and to impart Anaemache's blessings onto attendants. Most attendees are women, though farmers and other agricultural laborers will often attend regardless of gender. It is considered ideal for all women of marriageable age (a category which includes young girls who have reached menarche) to attend yearly to ensure their fertility, but this often lengthy journey is impractical for the average person to take every year, and in practice most women who attend for personal fertility matters are those who are pregnant or actively seeking pregnancy.
Most bring offerings to the river, the most basic of which can be grains, fruits, spices, or flowers (it must be a seasonal growth, ideally one that requires the rains to occur), and the best of which are sacred animals to Anaemache such as the reed duck or hespaean. Sacrificial stock vendors will often set up camp near the river temples (though are banned from temple grounds) at this time of year to hawk live animals to pilgrims, which can be a very lucrative job when done correctly. Other vendors will sell dried flowers, grains, spices and fruit for the same purposes (a less lucrative but often more stable job).
Offerings of plant matter are cast into the river directly by the pilgrims, while animal offerings are brought to a temple priest (usually set up downriver to the rest of the crowd, they must remain in the river from the start of the rites to the end) to be properly sacrificed. The animal must first be blessed and invoked as Anaemache Itself (as it is replicating God's sacrifice in creation and becomes It at the moment of death). The act is done with a quick and deep slice across the throat, allowing all of the blood to flow directly into the river. A priest will anoint the offerer's tongue with a single droplet- the animal has become the River Face of God and its blood imparts a strong blessing, taken into the body for the effects to become physical and binding.
Important parts of the sanctified body are removed for use among the temple priesthood (in this case, mostly feathers), and the rest of the corpse is placed on a continuously maintained pyre to be burned. The ashes will be collected and scattered into the river after sunrise to mark the end of the rite.
Sacrificial river animals are liable to escape into the river when brought en-masse, and one that does is considered to have been spared and blessed by Anaemache and will be left alone. Populations of water birds around these temples will often display striking and unusual coloration due to genetic input from escaped domestic/captive bred animals.
Regardless of what one offers, the offering must be made before the offerer touches the water. The participant will then remove some or most of their clothing (the minimum is shoes, the maximum is everything BUT underwear- full genital-baring nudity is socially problematic and metaphysically vulnerable when in public, and thus avoided) and enter the water. One should ideally fully submerge themself, but touching the silt with bare feet is adequate. It is then that the participants say their prayers and ask for any specific blessings- a pregnancy, the safe delivery of a child, a bountiful harvest, fruitful trees, clean drinking water, plentiful grazing, a good stock of fish, etc.
After one says their prayers and leaves the water, their part in the rite is over and they are free to go home, or alternatively stop by the celebrations that frequently crop up along the roads. In a good year, food and drink vendors, traders, the mass of pilgrims, and other opportunists will amass and form temporary mini-towns along the roadsides (or temporarily invade nearby villages), which can be excellent places to eat, drink and/or hook up.
Hibrides has shelled out a significant amount of money to a street sacrifice vendor for a near-perfect offering, to pray that she will be blessed with a healthy pregnancy and bear a boy, mostly so that she can be done having children. The rains have been inadequate (or have outright failed) for five years at this point, and the Brilla river is scarcely more than mud. God doesn't seem to be here at all. She doesn't have her hopes up.

[ID: A purplish-grey stew topped with olive oil and garnished with piles of pomegranate seeds. Plates of green peppers, bitter olives, olive oil, taboon bread, green onions, radishes, and za'tar surround the dish. The second image is a close-up of the same stew. End ID]
رمانية / Rummāniyya (Palestinian pomegranate stew)
Rummaniyya (رُمَّانِيَّة; also transliterated "rumaniyya," "rummaniya," and "rummaniyeh") is a Palestinian stew or dip made from lentils, eggplant, and pomegranate seeds, flavored with nutty red tahina and a zesty, spicy دُقَّة (dugga) of dill seeds, garlic, and peppers. A طشة (ṭsha), or tempering, of olive oil and onion or garlic is sometimes added.
"Rummaniyya," roughly "pomegranate-y," comes from رُمَّان ("rummān") "pomegranate," plus the abstract noun suffix ـِيَّة ("iyya"); the dish is also known as حبّة رُمَّانَة ("ḥabbat rommāna"), or "pomegranate seeds." It is a seasonal dish that is made at the end of summer and the beginning of fall, when pomegranates are still green, unripe, and sour.
This stew is considered to be one of the most iconic, historic, and beloved of Palestinian dishes by people from Gaza, Yaffa, and Al-Ludd. Pomegranates—their seeds, their juice, and a thick syrup made from reducing the juice down—are integral to Palestinian cuisine and heritage, and images of them abound on ceramics and textiles. Pomegranates and their juice are sold from street carts and cafes in the West Bank and Gaza.
Today, tens of thousands of tons of pomegranates are grown and harvested by Israeli farmers on stolen Palestinian farmland; about half of the crop is exported, mainly to Europe. Meanwhile, Palestinians have a far easier time gaining permits to work on Israeli-owned farms than getting permission from the military to work land that is ostensibly theirs. These restrictions apply within several kilometers of Israel's claimed borders with Gaza and the West Bank, some of the most fertile land in the area; Palestinian farmers working in this zone risk being injured or killed by military fire.
Israel further restricts Palestinians' ability to work their farms and export crops by imposing tariffs, unexpectedly closing borders, shutting down and contaminating water supplies, spraying Palestinian crops with pesticides, bulldozing crops (including eggplant) when they are ready to be harvested, and bombing Palestinian farmland and generators. Though Palestinian goods have local markets, the sale of Palestinian crops to Israel was forbidden from 2007 to 2014 (when Israel accepted shipments of goods including tomato and eggplant).
Gazans have resisted these methods by disregarding orders to avoid the arable land near Israel's claimed borders, continuing to forage native plants, growing new spices and herbs for export, planting hydroponic rooftop gardens, crushing chalk and dried eggplants to produce calcium for plants, using fish excrement as fertilizer, creating water purification systems, and growing plants in saltwater. Resisting Israeli targeting of Palestinian food self-sufficiency has been necessary for practical and economic reasons, but also symbolizes the endurance of Palestinian culture, history, and identity.
Support Palestinian resistance by calling Elbit System's (Israel's primary weapons manufacturer) landlord; donating to Palestine Action's bail fund; and buying an e-Sim for distribution in Gaza.
Serves 6-8.
Ingredients:
For the stew:
1 medium eggplant (370g)
1 cup brown lentils (عدس اسود)
600g pomegranate seeds (to make 3 cups juice)
3 Tbsp all-purpose flour
1/4 cup red tahina
1/2 cup olive oil
Salt, to taste
Citric acid (ملح الليمون / حامِض ليمون) (optional)
Red tahina may be approximated with home cooking tools with the above-linked recipe; you may also toast white tahina in a skillet with a little olive oil, stirring often, until it becomes deeply golden brown.
For the دُقَّة (dugga / crushed condiment):
2 tsp cumin seeds, or ground cumin
1 1/2 Tbsp dill seeds ("locust eye" بذور الشبت / عين جرادة)
5 cloves garlic
1 green sweet pepper (فلفل بارد اخضر)
2 dried red chilis (فلفل شطة احمر)
People use red and green sweet and chili peppers in whatever combination they have on hand for this recipe; e.g. red and green chilis, just green chilis, just red chilis, or just green sweet peppers. Green sweet peppers and red chilis are the most common combination.
For the طشة (Tsha / tempering) (optional):
Olive oil
1 Tbsp minced garlic
Instructions:
1. Rinse and pick over lentils. In a large pot, simmer lentils, covered, in enough water to cover for about 8 minutes, or until half-tender.
2. Meanwhile, make the dugga by combining all ingredients in a mortar and pestle or food processor, and grinding until a coarse mixture forms.

Dugga and components.
3. Cube eggplant. A medium-sized eggplant may be cut in half lengthwise (through the root), each half cut into thirds lengthwise, then cubed widthwise.

Cubed eggplant, red tahina, and pomegranate seeds.
4. Add eggplant to simmering water (there is no need to stir).

5. While the eggplant cooks, blend pomegranate seeds in a blender very thoroughly. Strain to remove any gritty residue. Whisk flour into pomegranate juice.

Pomegranate juice being strained.
6. Taste your pomegranate juice. If it is not sour, add a pinch of citric acid or a splash of lemon juice and stir.
7. Add dagga to the pot with the lentils and eggplant and stir. Continue to simmer until the eggplant is very tender and falling apart.
8. Add pomegranate juice, tahina, and olive oil to the pot, and simmer for another 5 minutes, or until stew is very thick and homogenous.

Bright pink pomegranate juice in stockpot.
9. (Optional) In a small skillet, heat a little olive oil on medium. Fry minced garlic, stirring constantly, until golden brown. Add into the pot and stir.
10. (Optional) Mash the stew with the bowl of a ladle or a bean masher to produce a more homogenous texture.
Serve rummaniyya hot or cold in individual serving bowls. It may be served as an appetizer, or as a main dish alongside flatbread, olives, and fresh vegetables such as radishes, green peppers, green onions, carrots, and romaine lettuce. It may be eaten with a spoon, or by using كماج (kmāj), a flatbread with an internal pocket, to scoop up each bite.

"Magister Merlin"
All 10 of the Arcane Souls incarnations from The Magister Supreme from The Immortal War to current day Magister "Linnie" Merlin Von Ryeham.
Further lore under the cut! (There's a lot!)
1. Magister Supreme Merlin: Long white hair and beard. Hood always covers his face. Arcanists set. Very strict and methodical. That sword from the trailer- that’s his.
2. Magister Meredith: Long white hair, eyes were ice blue but are now white and cloudy. Order of Frost set. The Merlin who fought in the first divine war. She was badly injured (Burnt by Berial, how she lost her vision). She is quiet yet has an authoritative presence.
3. Magister Ludos: Short red hair and beard. Red eyes. Obsidian Moth set. Lived in the era after the divine war where things were still very tense. Was very prominent in the Lightbearer’s military. He may have been the Merlin to tread a slightly darker path.
4. Magister Amalie: Short white hair, fringe and ringlets, cyan/teal eyes. Fem Verdant set. Looks a bit like a Flapper. She is the youngest Merlin. Extravagant, theatrical, a riot to be with.
5. Magister Leo: Vaduso fashion set. Soft, short brown hair and moustache with a flower crown growing around his temples, black eyes. First Wilder Merlin. Very docile and a great diplomat.
6. Magister Kirsty: Brown hair in a bun with bangs, has bright blue eyes. Fem classy finery set. Oldest Merlin. She is very matronly. Also took a lot of orphans under her wing. Came from a noble family.
7. Magister Rhosdyn: Short, fluffy white hair, green eyes, diamond facial scars. The only Graveborn Merlin. Has glasses and the white autumn set. Very soft spoken. Discovered the artifacts every Merlin from then on would receive from Dura. Might have made the void relic? In good faith to alleviate a Graveborn’s suffering but I don’t know????
8. Magister Beatrice: Long blonde hair, yellow eyes, is a feline Wilder. Is a very devout acolyte of Dura. She will strike down anyone who badmouths her or Dura. She perfected sealing and purification magic.
9. Magister Charon: darker skinned, grey eyes, swept back white hair. White facial markings, vine covered antlers. Red coloured verdant set. Third Wilder Merlin. Very free spirited. Almost shirked his duties. And someone took offence to that. My have died horribly. Fate is still unknown.
10. Magister “Linnie” Merlin. Hair was originally honey blond. Turns white and grows much longer. Honey eyes (left one turns purple). Has a short beard/stubble and freckles. Always wears a monocle. Has a few outfits. He is quiet, socially awkward and can spook easily. Unless it’s a Hypogean. The second Merlin to have Merlin as their given name and not just their title.
The overall influences of each incarnation: Linnie gains some “natural” talent in magic, the flute and in dancing; sometimes in other things such as military strategy or swordplay . He also gains a few personality traits or sides to him. Like his strictness, the rage that burns, his desire to keep the likes of Mirael and Cassadee safe and his deep running hatred for Hypogeans.
Then there is the worse stuff...memories that aren’t his that come to him via dreams and hallucinations. Like the one about Charon’s fate, a few from the first divine war and possibly even the Immortal War.
He doesn’t know quite exactly what to make of it all. Apart from the clear fact that it scares him. He doesn’t like how some emotions don’t feel exactly his either, familiar yet not at the same time. He waters it down to his amnesia but it really isn’t. He has a hunch that it isn’t but he refuses to admit it.

Purification method removes PFAS from water while transforming waste into high-value graphene
Rice University researchers have developed an innovative solution to a pressing environmental challenge: removing and destroying per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), commonly called "forever chemicals." A study led by James Tour, the T.T. and W.F. Chao Professor of Chemistry and professor of materials science and nanoengineering, and graduate student Phelecia Scotland unveils a method that not only eliminates PFAS from water systems but also transforms waste into high-value graphene, offering a cost-effective and sustainable approach to environmental remediation. This research was published March 31 in Nature Water. PFAS are synthetic compounds in various consumer products, valued for their heat, water and oil resistance. However, their chemical stability has made them persistent in the environment, contaminating water supplies and posing significant health risks, including cancer and immune system disruptions. Traditional methods of PFAS disposal are costly, energy-intensive and often generate secondary pollutants, prompting the need for innovative solutions that are more efficient and environmentally friendly.
