Sky who's sex repulsed and never knew the right terms to describe himself and was always left out of groups due to not getting the types of jokes they made, feeling like the odd one out until he met with the chain.

Time who never knew about relationships until he left the forest and was shown romance for the first few times, not understanding it or wanting to understand it.

Aro/ace warriors who used to long for romance and sexual relationships seeing as not having them pushed him further away from his fellow men in the army, but after everything from cia has grown to accept himself for who he is.

legend who had enough of gender and never really felt any attraction other than platonic and owned it from the start - running with their confidence over everything, not letting people's views shape their life for them

wild who woke up and just lived. they weren't anything, didn't need to be anything. they could just be Link. Nothing more, nothing less. They didn't even care about gender or romance, until someone gave him the talk they didn't even know sex was a thing - and once they learned they immediately regretted learning

Pride Month Patch Tutorial: Pronoun Text

This year I’ve created five cross-stitch patterns designed for use with a variety of LGBTQIA+ pride flags, including the trans, genderqueer, non-binary, agender and demigender flags.

Each pronoun pattern is available in three scale variants: he/him, she/her, they/them, it/its and ze/hir. With the use of my cross-stitch alphabets, however, they can be adapted and modified for any pronoun set expressible in the Roman alphabet possessing a three, four, five, six, seven, ten or twelve-striped flag.

This tutorial includes sixteen cross-stitch text charts/patterns plus a guide to adapting said patterns for other pronoun sets.

I have more free queer cross-stitch tutorials and patterns available, including "pride" text patches, flag stripe hearts and "queer" text patches designed for a-spec pride flags. Other LGBTQIA+ text patterns are available at my pattern gallery, for folks who want to go all out in declaring our existence.

The concept of gender was never one Hyrule could fully grasp.

Some people were boys, some were girls. He understood that.

But… some people weren’t. And some people were both. And more still were somewhere in between.

This made sense to Hyrule. This part of gender wasn't all that complicated, really. People were what they were.

What didn’t make sense to them, however, was how people were supposed to know what they were.

Hyrule was born a girl. He understood that. Fae wasn’t a girl now. That made sense too. According to their siblings, that made him trans. They took it in stride, making sure to refer to Hyrule as “he” or “him”, saying that something was “his” or calling him their “brother”.

…Hyrule wasn’t sure that was right, either.

But that’s where it got confusing. They weren’t male, fae wasn’t female. “Neither” didn't sit quite right with him… but “both” didn't either.

Goddess, this was hard.

Hyrule knew he didn’t have to label themself, but fae liked having a word to properly describe how he felt. Their siblings didn’t all label themselves– Wild always described themself as “just Wild” and left it at that; Legend was adamant that it “wasn't anyone else’s business”; Time would simply wink and hold a finger to his lips.

But Hyrule? He wanted the label. They didn’t even fully understand just what, exactly, fae was trying to put a word to.

…Maybe Legend would have the answer?

Hyrule cracked his neck, sighing. Fae stood up slowly, chewing at the inside of their lip. Why was this so nerve-wracking? It’s not like Legend would judge them for it…

Oh, Goddess. What if Legend did judge? What if it’s a stupid question that Hyrule should already know the answer to?! What if faer the freak for not understanding their own gender?!

Hyrule swallowed thickly, sitting back down with a soft thud. He curled his fingers in the grass, tugging absently at it as faer mind drifted.

“What’s your problem?”

Hyrule startled, quickly finding themself face-to-face with Legend. The Veteran’s eyes were narrowed, scanning over the traveler suspiciously. Fae shrunk in on himself. “...What?”

Legend sighed. “You stood up, stared off into space for a minute, and sat back down,” he explained, putting his hands on his hips. “I’ll ask you again. What’s going on?”

“I…” Hyrule trailed off, voice catching in faer throat.

“What?” Legend raised a challenging eyebrow. “What’s the issue? Are you hurt? Sick? Hungry?” He waved a hand. “If you want a snack or something, Wild will give you something.”

Hyrule paused, shaking his head. “No, I-” Why was this so hard to say? “I… wanted to talk to you, actually.”

Watched Estrine Studio's live-stream on YouTube last night, so here's some sexuality headcanons for the Chain.

Time:

Bisexual or Pansexual. He definitely thought Sheik was hot at first. But he also fell fast for Malon and didn't really put much thought into who he had attraction for past that.

Warriors:

Aromatic Asexual. The War of Eras completely killed any want for a relationship. He found the terms and felt seen, even if he hadn't felt that way his whole life.

Twilight:

Straight. But not the asshole-about-it kind. He just treats it as an unimportant fact about himself.

Sky:

Omnisexual. I know Omni and Pan are kind of controversial with Pan being "gender-blind", but I think Sky loves who he loves because of gender. He doesn't hate anyone because of gender either. He found the terms and felt a connection to it, so he decided to go with it.

Hyrule:

He has no clue, but he doesn't really want a relationship right now, so he's not too stressed about it. He figures he'll know when he feels something for someone.

Wild:

Same as Hyrule. Although a lot of people are saying, "So... you and Zelda," in that way he doesn't understand.

Legend:

Reluctant Biromantic Asexual. He doesn't want to admit he might have feelings for Ravio after what happened with Koholint.

Four:

It's kind of confusing for him. His sexuality, like mine, is probably like a sliding scale from Asexual Aromantic to Bisexual due to the Four Sword.

Wind:

Same as Time. He met who he likes and didn't bother trying to figure out anything sexuality-wise past that.

(I am not transphobic. I support how people want to identify and be identified as. I support rights for trans individuals in society and healthcare. I also respect others' headcanons for gender and sexuality. If any of these were accidentally worded poorly, please let me know. I do have communication difficulties that can make getting my points across pretty hard.)

Summary: On Tetra’s ship, Wind celebrates a successful battle. Wild makes jokes. 554 words, fluff.

Pronouns: Wind no pronouns, Time xe/xem, Wild ae/aer, Four she/her

“Hah! That’ll show them. Sorry excuse for pirates,” Wind said. Wind was hanging onto a rope with one hand, leaned over the side of the ship waving the Phantom Sword at the retreating ‘pirates.’

“Aye!” Tetra’s crew cheered. The other Links cheerfully joined in the cheers. Wind beamed, smiling widely and chest bursting with pride. Wind straightened Wind’s back to stand as tall as possible and saluted the other heroes.

“I have to admit, that was pretty cool,” Time said.

“Pretty cool? That was the coolest thing I’ve ever seen!” Wild exclaimed. Ae leapt over a cannon and all but tackled Wind, throwing a gleeful arm around Wind’s shoulder. Wind laughed and adjusted Wind’s feet so Wild wouldn’t fall.

“Wind, you have to teach me that move you did with the swinging and the swoosh and the HYAH!!!” Wild jumped forward, mimicking Wind’s earlier movements with extremely entertaining sound effects.

“No, no, it was more like a HYAAA!” Four interjected. She did a slightly different slashing motion.

“You’re both wrong,” Time said. “Just get Wind to show you before you embarrass yourselves any more.”

Time glanced at Wind, and Wind saw xyr smirk and the little gremlin twinkle in xyr eye. Time wanted a demonstration just as much as the rest of them.

Wind smirked and barely contained happy wiggles. Wind had a reputation to uphold, after all. “Alright, landlubbers, watch closely. If you-”

“All clear!” Tetra yelled from the helm. She gestured for Niko to take over the wheel then slid down the ladder.

“Good work crew,” Tetra said. Then she turned to Link with a smile and wiggled her eyebrows. “Shall we?”

Wind glanced between Tetra and the other Links. “Sorry, the demonstration will have to wait.”

“Aw,” Wild mumbled as ae dropped the rope ae had picked up.

“Where are you going?” Time asked.

“Post-battle captain stuff,” Wind said.

“Oh yeah?” Wild asked. Ae waggled their eyebrows suggestively and smirked. “Alone?”

It took a moment, but then Wind realized what Wild was suggesting. Wind’s cheeks went bright read and Wind’s ears dropped and pinned against Wind’s head. Wild grinned widely and made pursed aer lips to make an incredibly exaggerated kissing noise.

“Eugh, no, Wild!” Wind shoved Wild’s face and ae let aerself fall backwards into Four. Wild and Four burst into laughter as Four caught aer weight. “Neither of us are into that. And we’re 14!!!! Ugh. You suck.”

Wind smiled to let them know it was a joking response— they both loved teasing Wind, and they knew Wind was a good sport about it— but still flipped them off as Wind followed Tetra below deck. Wind glanced back before the door closed and saw Time lightly smacking Wild and Four over the head for their jokes.

Four wasn’t quick enough to escape. Wild vaulted aerself onto the mast and attempted to climb out of Time’s reach, but Time was quicker. Time grabbed Wild around the waist and tossed aer onto a pile of soft sacks. Wild flopped onto the sacks, giggling loudly, and quickly turned over to sprint away from Time and Four. Time watched with a small smile and crossed arms.

Wind rolled Wind’s eyes and shut the door. Wind hoped the others would be able to keep their shenanigans from destroying the ship until Wind and Tetra were done with their battle strategy discussion.
