What is the Devouring Storm?

With this past week's devastating news of post-Veilguard layoffs has pretty much put the nail in the coffin on any future Dragon Ages in the near or far future, if at all, I wanted to discuss what the writers were planning next for the series. Because Veilguard pretty clearly tells you, if you bother to find it. So, going forth will obviously be spoilers, and I hope people who want to make canon-accurate fanworks use this information the way I think the writers intended for us to.

So, the situational post-credits scene reveals that The Executors/Those Across the Sea are finally making a play for Thedas. But why? We've known something has been fishy in Theodas (which is what I like to call The Other Dragon Age Setting) since Origins. But we've never had so much information about what, exactly, might be going on there before.

What do we know about Dragon Age's other continent?

Anyone who has ever tried to travel there has either been turned back or were lost at sea, including Alistair's father, King Maric.

The Qunari travelled to Thedas from there, and were fleeing something. We now know that something is The Devouring Storm, and that they altered their own bodies with dragon blood to try to stop it and failed. Modern Qunari have forgotten this, though they still teach their navigators to watch for it.

In a letter to Bellara from Emmrich, he says the lands across the sea are described as either a verdant natural paradise or full of dead cities.

Aside from The Executors, who are considered little more than a conspiracy theory by most people in Thedas, one other group has made contact: the Voshai. The Voshai are mostly dwarves (but no elves) who used to come to the city of Laysh in the Anderfels to trade. The only thing they came to trade for was magical artifacts, particularly lyrium. There are rumours from the time of the Inquisition that the Voshai have returned to Laysh after a cataclysm in their homeland, but these rumours have not been confirmed.

We know the name of one other place there, Amaranth, but I can't find any more than that.

The Evanuris appear to have used the threat of Those Across the Sea as justification for their tyrannical rule, and at least some of their fear seems to be genuine. In the codex entry "Urthemiel's Shield" it's revealed that the Archon's palace was created at the bidding of the Old Gods (aka the Evanuris) not to shoot at their own people, but to defend against Those Across the Sea.

The Mysterious Circle codex entries describe encounters with Those Across the Sea, both their magic and likely one of the Executors. The Executor's body is described as "changing and shifting" though not in a shapeshifter way, more like their bodies don't know how to hold their own corporeal form.

Notes on a Mystery Substance

Now we come to what I think are probably the most important series of codex entries in the game, Notes on a Mystery substance. There are three of them, found throughout Arlathan Forest.

The gist of these entries is this: Written by the Forgotton One Anaris, it details the discovery of a strange golden substance by one of his subordinates? rivals? (it's not clear but he doesn't like the guy), Atrahel. Anaris runs tests on the substance and finds that provides great magical power but nullifies all other known sources of magic. In fact, he describes it as a "magic that devours all others." Anaris, being an asshole, decides to test it on Atrahel without him knowing. It makes him stronger even than the Evanuris, but alters his personality significantly. Atrahel eventually where Anaris has kept the rest of the substance and consumes it completely. His physical form changes and he essentially becomes the magical equivalent of an atomic bomb, blowing up and destroying himself and any other elves who happened to be nearby. Only Anaris survives, and he runs away before the Evanuris come to investigate.

The Devouring Storm

So, if we take all this information together, I can say with confidence that the Devouring Storm is this magic that devours all other magic. Not only that, but that the Executors have probably consumed all the other magic in that part of the world. And what does Thedas still have a lot of? Magic. Raw magic from the Fade, spirits, lyrium, probably even the Blight. And The Executors not only want it, they probably need it.

This explains a lot of things about what little we know about this part of the world.

The fact that the Voshai are dwarves that have never seen lyrium before would suggest that a. Titans once existed there and b. they have been consumed.

Why the Qunari fled their homeland, their extreme fear of magic, and why they had to make the adaari to fight them. (You can't fight magic that devours all other magic with magic, after all, it only makes them stronger.)

Why The Executors have had a vested interest in the Veil staying intact since the Inquisitor: the Fade would be partially or completely destroyed if it came down, and a not intact Fade is worthless to them. Even if you believe Solas's plan would not have destroyed the Fade (it would though), the Veil would still need to stay up to make it more difficult for The Executors to devour both the Fade and probably the Blight (and who knows what that would do to them).

Why the cities across the sea are described as dead.

If we believe that the many prophecies we've been given are either spirits or sleeping Titans (or both) giving people warnings about this, it explains why: they don't want to get eaten!

Personally, I think this is pretty interesting, definitely much more interesting than the ending credits scene suggests. Does it mean that the Qunari didn't have magic before they came to Thedas? (That would explain a lot). What is a world where nobody at all has access to the realm of dreams like? How the heck are you supposed to fight magic that devours everything?

Hot take: Hermaues Mora finished off Miraak for The Last Dragonborn to disrupt an Enantiomorph and shifted its outcome.

In this scenario, The Last Dragonborn was Ysmir, the king and Miraak was the rebel (He sent cultists after him) and Mora in Apocrypha took the role of the observer, or witness, as they battled. For the first time, if the dragonborn finsihed him off, the king would be the successor. In the timeline of The Elder Scrolls, Aka was the king, LKHN the rebel and then Nirn was created. On Nirn, Lorkhan was king and got defeated by Trinimac. Would it have been a first time in the cosmic scale, that the "king" succeeds? Or am I overthinking.

The haunting thing about this is that Mora probably instigated this "rivalry" that never existed, Mora created a situation.

As I said: cultists were sent after us, funny enough that Miraak didn't even know we existed until we stepped foot inside Apocrypha, which means that Mora was the one who sent them. The whole thing seems to revolve about Enantiomorph and the cycle of violence that Mora kept going. What if Miraak and The Last Dragonborn broke through that cycle and actually WORKED together? Was it something Mora feared, thus manipulated?

What would have happened if Miraak and The Last Dragonborn worked together? What if they both turned on Mora? What if we were to sacrifice ourselves so that Miraak may be free?

One word: Amaranth

The crown up top has three jewels, two are the same color as the MC's earring, the third is the same as the tie (aka MC's shirt). There is also a point at the top of the crown that has the same yellow I've used to represent Miranda in previous works.

Flowers/Plants and their symbolism is as follows: Amaranth (Immortality), Bog Rosemary (Bound by fate), Aloe leaves (grief, religious superstition), and Adder's Tongue (deceit)

The concept behind this is an alternate version of the final scene in my fic Liminal, where the MC asks Mia to dance (in Bela's route). Instead of there being some stabbing and people thrown off of balconies, Mia gets to dance with the MC, she just gets absolutely decked by Bela (who hits like a truck, as we all know).

Her necklace is supposed to be reminiscent of a crow/raven skull, 50% because I've made jokes about Mia being mortal enemies with Cornelius and 50% because I think she'd wear it to make Miranda mad.

The lack of posts about Portgas D. Rouge being a bounty hunter on this platform is absolutely criminal so I'm going to yap about ideas and thoughts for a WIP that I've been stressing about for a solid year or so

Bount hunters in one piece tend to work in smaller groups as far as we've seen (ignoring Baroque Works)

But Rouge, in typical D fashion, completely ignores that and only half accidentally ended up creating a massive alliance between a lot of different bounty hunters from pretty much every sea.

I'm saying half accidentally because creating a massive alliance wasn't her goal. She was just going with the flow and somehow ended up as the head of an alliance between almost every important bounty hunter on the seas. But half accident also means half on purpose, Rouge knows how to go with the flow but she also plans. She knew that making allies out of those people would benefit her. She just didn't expect them to also become allies with each other.

I called the alliance Blackjack Bounty Hunters in my drafts but not sure how much I'm sticking to that name

During all of this Rouge also managed to somehow gather a crew, no one knows how that really happened, and I called her ship the Agrotera Amaranth

Agrotera is an epithet of the greek goddess Artemis that means "the Huntress". Amaranth flowers symbolise immortality and everlasting love and beauty. There is also devotion and hope and resilience and determination. Also healing and abundance.

You know how Garp and Roger are from the same sea and have this strange rivalry/frenemy? Yeah well Rouge and Sengoku are both from the South and also have a strange rivalry. No frenemy because they're technically both on the same side. Strange because they're constantly trying to talk the other one onto switching occupations.

Rouge after dropping off another bounty: you know you'd make a pretty great bounty hunter with how ruthless you are

Sengoku: and you'd make a pretty good marine with that sense of justice of yours.

Rouge's second in command is a woman called Marin Ann. Name was inspired by Mary Reed and Anne Bonny. I originally had her named as Mary-Ann but then remembered the already existing character named Marianne aka Miss Goldenweek. i think I tried naming her after pirates because I originally wanted to make her and Rouge pirates but then switched to bounty hunters

Ann used to be a marine researcher specialising in poison but was dishonourably discharged at one point and then joined Rouge.

Oh also yk how Roger and Rayleigh and Gaban have metal related last names? Well Portgas and Marin are both sea related so when I get around to naming Rouge's third in command she'll also get a sea related last name

Rouge earned her epithet of Hibiscus not only because the flower was always in her hair but also because she would always deliver her bounties with them covered in hibiscus flowers.

She usually used a shotgun that that a blade attached to it and always carried two revolver with her.

In the same way Ann got the epithet of Belladonna because she was always using poison to kill or incapacitate her bounties.

Unlike Rouge she tended to stay out of direct conflict but she does run around with needles and different poisons on her person at any given point.

Rouge's first encounter with Roger happened because she heard rumours about the Roger Pirates kidnapping children and forcing them into becoming cabin boys. Rouge and Roger fought, Ann tried to sneak Buggy and Shanks away but they were fighting her every step and then Rayleigh fought her.

In the end the misunderstanding was cleared up and they became allies.

As stated before, Rouge is a planner, a schemer. Ann is one too. Just a bit more extreme than Rouge.

Buggy picked up on their schemer ways during the numerous times that the Agrotera Amaranth and Oro Jackson crossed paths.

It's been a while since I looked at flowers so here are Marauders era characters as plants:

James Potter: Sunflowers since he's commonly associated with the sun. Or delphinium for positivity and a big heart!

Sirius Black: Ivy, the common ivy, or English or European ivy. It's a symbol of loyalty and fidelity. Fits enough for me.

Remus Lupin: Wolfsbane. Believed to repel werewolves, and it's used in a potion in the Wizarding World. But if we want a less angsty plant there is also the tropical white morning glory. It's also known as a moonflower and symbolizes the ability of beauty to emerge in dark times, and is used to provide hope.

Peter Pettigrew: Burgundy dahlias for betrayal, for obvious reasons. But also purple hyacinths for a desire for forgiveness. Cuz I'm hell bent that Peter was regretful of what he did in canon

Lily Evans: I'm not gonna give her lily, that seems a little too obvious lol but, peonies! They symbolize love, honor, happiness wealth, romance, and beauty. Which yk, works well in my eyes

Mary Macdonald: Poppies for remembrance of the death and consolation. It's based on the headcanon she obliviated herself sometime before to during the first wizarding war because everything was getting too much for her. Also, poppies are used to create opium, which relieves pain. It's pretty sad ngl, that hc always gets me.

Marlene McKinnon: King Protea, it's very sharp-looking flower that symbolizes strength and resilience. Not much info is given about Marlene during the war except her entire family was wiped out, but given her personality in fanon. I imagine she put up a hella good fight. I would give this to Dorcas but I have another one for her.

Regulus Black: Thorns! Rose thorns mostly, but just thorns in general. From what I read, rose thorns show adversity and sacrifice. Regulus had the misfortune of being born into a family with shit views and never having a morally correct input his entire life and he basically sacrificed his life to bring down the Dark Lord. Thorns are always ways for a plant to deter herbivores from eating them, take that as you will!

Barty Crouch Jr: Bleeding hearts, cuz yeahhhh, everlasting love? Unrequited love?? Tragedy compacted into one. His daddy issues too?? Him pleading for his dad to love him?? HIS MOTHER GIVING UP HER LAST MOMENTS FOR HIM??? EVAN AND REGULUS???? CMON CMONNNNN

Evan Rosier: Venus Fly Trap for persistence. This man was not willing to end up in Azkaban and took Moody's fucking nose with him. Venus fly traps are also known to die right after digestion aka eating a fly so it fits! (I LOVEEE carnivorous plants)

Dorcas Meadows: Laurel leaves for victory and achievement. Specifically, laurel leaves in a wreath. I think it's neat since she was powerful enough that Voldemort had to kill her himself. Mf was takin them out one by one until Voldy decided she was too op. LOVE HER FOR THAT

Pandora Rosier: Not the most hottest flower (lol), but the amaranth, while it could also mean everlasting last love, but it also means hopelessness or hopeless love. This only really works if you see Pandora as a seer. Something I think is interesting is the fact that fate is fate, it's sealed and final, and there is never a way around it. If you try to get around fate, you walk right into it because you never a chance. Pandora as a seer would've saw her friends and classmates dying and can't do anything about it because fate is sealed from the very beginning. It's hopeless.

i think a font is visually accessible if it passes the tests of:

and also very very importantly: i find it at least aesthetically tolerable 😅😉

which btw @staff the default tumblr True Blue color scheme uses a font that fails both of these tests — UPDATE: test failure for every color scheme's default font when using the ios app (side note: we need a dark mode for the queer pride color scheme)

UPDATE: i just tested all color schemes on my chromebook -- Vampire theme has a default font (combined with a tolerable-to-my-eyes low-light compatible color scheme) that passes these readability tests in the chrome browser but i don't know about any of the other browsers *shruggie*

some context:

so while i was working on research (motivated by @flamingwell 's post) about ways to make my podfics accessible for hearing-impaired fandom friends, i got to thinking about how i often struggle to read lovingly made podfic covers and painstakingly created fandom-themed gifsets and text post memes here on our beloved hellsite. and so i was inspired to try and raise awareness amongst the podficcers making cover arts and the magicians making gifsets & memes! about webdesign standards regarding visual accessibility

btw! if you're tracking this, my research and experimentation with how i personally can make my podfics more accessible to those with biomechanical and/or neurological hearing challenges is still in progress, but you can read more about what i've learned so far here!

a final consideration re font choices: don't be afraid to use Big Font Sizes and Use Up Some Space in your text overlay visual arts! especially for the most important information; WCAG standards recommend 18 point font size for easier readability (or a 14pt bolded font)

TLDR--what i am asking for people to do when designing podfic covers and gifsets (well. really any artwork with a text overlay on an image) is to choose the font color and immediately surrounding background color to have a high contrast ratio (3:1 min for headers and 4.5:1 min for smaller fonts) AND to use dyslexia friendly fonts. pretty pretty please!

A poetry with a quadruple of 8s. Of course it's going to end up as the 8th entry of this collection.

The 8x8x8x8 "form" I used to describe this poem is not an officially recognized poetry genre. It is actually just the name of the prompt I used to write this piece, the requirement being: an 8-lined poem, with an AABBCCDD rhyme scheme, where the first and last words of each line must rhyme, and 8 syllables per line.

The number 8 itself holds a lot of significance in many cultures:

The Chinese considers it a lucky number because its pronunciation is similar to the word for "wealth". The Japanese gives it a similar association to wealth and luck because the broadening strokes of the kanji character (八) is regarded as a symbol of growing prosperity.

In Pythagorean numerology, the number 8 represents victory, prosperity and overcoming.

Medieval astrology considers 8 as a symbol to the perfection of incoming planetary energy.

8 is considered a sacred number in Buddhism, where it represents the spokes in the Dharma wheel, itself a symbol to the central teaching of the "Noble Eightfold Path".

Biblical numerology associates the number 8 with new beginning & rebirth.

It is the atomic number of oxygen, which is one of the most critical elements for the sustenance of life--being present in the air we breathe, and the water that makes up 2/3 of our bodies (and of the planet we live on).

With these considerations, I thought the amaranth plant would be the most appropriate subject to use for this prompt.

The amaranth is a genus of plants known for its ability to retain its vibrant colours even after being uprooted, or "killed". As a result, it is often regarded as an "immortal flower".

I myself was introduced to the plant through Nighwish's song, "Amaranth", and after reading the lore and fables related to the amaranth, I've always been fascinated about it. In fact, not too long ago, I did an art prompt to make a character based on a plant, and used amaranth for its basis:

Depicted in this pic are two different amaranthus species: the crown is amaranthus tricolor (aka Joseph's Coat), the wings are amaranthus hypochondriacus (aka Prince's feather).

I drew the "character" as a broken statue to juxtapose the symbols of life/hope and death/brokenness, and I hoped to convey the idea that having hope keeps us alive (or full of colour) during difficult periods where we are "dead" (i.e. cut off from the things that typically motivates us).

The (Real) Stardew Valley Farm Update 2024

I’m wrapping up my third year trying to grow everything from Stardew Valley in our yard, with substitutions as needed, preferably with Midwest USA native plants.

I’m continuing to battle the invasive plants (why won’t the honeysuckle and thistles stop?????), beg for truckloads of woodchips (Google decided our address isn’t real anymore), and deal with a body and brain that makes going outside impossible sometimes (the past two years have been rough medically). But despite all of that I still managed to make a ton of progress!

Here’s how things stand as of now. If you’re looking back at previous posts you might notice some differences, but that’s mainly because things I planted died (drought + medical crises don’t bode well for newly established plants). I’ve also added the additional crops from the new update.

He is the son of King Amorrus and Queen Amaranth. Both parents love him so much, he is their baby ^w^

He is 16-18.

He's trans!!! He was born a girl, but decided to transition at the age of 13. King and Queen are very supportive!

He is very kind, caring and gentle. Very much a gentleman, will offer you a hug if you are down without hestitation. But if someone hurts his loved one, he will show his stricter side.

He met Mortimer when the latter secretly visited the Kingdom of Hearts. These two quickly got close to each other, and formed a brotherly bond. Amias deeply cares about Mortimer and will kick ass of anyone who dares to hurt him.

"The Afton family" Part 1/2 Fnaf Amaranth AU!

Note: Yes, this AU is inspired by Mobox87's and many others old FNAF lore that was created back in 2015-2016 but is remade to fit into what we have today. I'm simply doing this for the sake of fun and keeping a part of the nostalgia alive. All designs are inspired by how I viewed them personally growing up, making them my original designs. Please tag me if you ever make fanart, thank you :D

The Parents:

Name: Scott Ralph Afton.

Nickname: Scotty

Nationality: British (Moved to America)

Scott is clumsy and laid back. He is also a bit skittish because his dad used to scare him, intentionally as a child.

Has always struggled mentally, thanks to his childhood being quite rough.

He was bullied in school for being the shy and antisocial kid, often hiding in the bathroom stalls to get away.

He never had a good relationships with his parents, not even with Vincent no matter what he originally thought.

Has undiagnosed ADHD.

His special interest is machinery!

Likes to keep things organized and tidy.

Hates when someone is disobedient.

Loves teasing and making dad jokes!

Like his second oldest son, he has a fondness for the animatronic Foxy!

Suffers from insomnia and hallucinates.

He has a high pain tolerance and often gets injured, hence the many bandages he is wearing. His wife puts them on.

Feels horrible for not being able to stop Vincent from killing his children & being the cause of so many deaths.

Scott is the phone guy and tape guy (aka Henry but now it's Scott!)

Scott didn't actually die after the animatronics attacked and stuffed him into a suit, he was just severely injured.

Despite being in pain, he managed to stay alive until someone found him. After that incident he decided to retire.

He commits suicide, suffocating during the fnaf 6 fire together with Michael.

Scott is a hard working man that love's his family more than anything, but struggles to keep the stability going. Not only does he specialize with dangerous animatronics at work along side his brother Vincent, who has always been questionable in nature. He has always struggled mentally thanks to his upbringing.

The lack of sleep he is getting from his insomnia and night shifts causes him to get injured on the job. Which his wife is very unhappy about, they could be bickering and next thing they know they're argumening over family matters. Though Scott tries to be the one who puts an end to it and be a better husband and father to his children, he has to admit he is far from perfect. He retired from his own business Fazbear entertainment after the tragedies and focused on his remaining family, returning briefly during fnaf 6 to aid Michael and decided he would commit suicide with them.

Name: Margaret Fritz.

Nickname: Mag, Magpie.

Nationality: Norwegian.

Margaret met Scott through high school and originally felt bad for him, letting him rant to her about his inventions.

This somehow sparked feelings between the two and they remained high school sweethearts up until their marriage.

Margaret went to medical school and worked as a nurse for a few years, earning a good living for them.

She did end up quitting early and became a stay at home mom when she first got pregnant with twins.

Later in life she would try getting back into the work field but retires due to mental health issues.

Has a slight drinking problem and hates how addicted she is to it.

She suffers from compassion fatigue.

Developed depression and erratic behavior after the disappearances.

Feels guilty for Charlie's death because she was drinking that night and asked Scott to get him. (He was working late)

After Scott died in the fire, she went back to her drinking habits and died from liver failure. (Basically suicide)

Margaret is a stay at home mother who often finds herself stressed over not just her kids, but also her husband. Thanks to his recklessness at work and his horrible sleep schedules, along with his mental health. Margaret and Scott tend to argue a lot about his well being and over how they should manage things in their household, which often ends up going nowhere. This caused her to pick up a small drinking habit that she tries her best to hide from everyone, especially her children. Margaret originally came from Norway but moved to America with her family when she started high school. There she not only met Scott but got a degree in nursing and after a few years of dating, fell pregnant. This caused her to have to stay home permanently and at first while it was difficult, she knew she was doing it for a good cause. Their growing family. After the missing children's incident she went completely off the rails and had to be sent away to the mental hospital by Scott. She really struggled, especially with the guilt of not being able to protect her children that she had spent so much of her life taking care of. Eventually though she would be able to return back to Scott and their remaining children, raising them.

Older siblings:

Name: Coppelia Afton.

Nickname: Lia

Age: 11 (in 1984)

Coppelia is the twin sister of Charlie!

Has ADHD.

Struggles sleeping like Scott.

Her special interest is also machinery!

She's often found outside tinkering in the garage with something.

She also loves reading books, specially the book that she was named after.

Can be quite hyperactive and playful, often leading her to be a bit brutal.

Love's to have playful banters with Scott or Charlie to see their reactions.

When she was younger she used to draw disturbing drawings, she grew out of it though! Scott affectionately calls her "his creepy daughter"

She loves eating bacon and eggs or pancakes, calling it her british breakfast. (Because she thinks it's funny)

After Margaret was sent away Mrs Andrews, their neighbor helped Scott take care of Coppelia and her brother.

This caused her to became a mother figure to her and she calls her mom!

She doesn't like any of the animatronics and once she got so scared as a child that she threw up and cried.

Coppelia is her families only daughter and tue older twin, taking most characteristics after her father. She is very hyperactive and playful, often tinkering with machinery like her father when he was younger. She can't be still for long, yet somehow she never runs out of energy either. She loves playing around with her siblings which often leads her to be a bit competitive and rough. She always feels a bit guilty because she accidentally hurts them or make them cry! The reason she prefers playing with her siblings still, is because she gets bullied at school too. Unlike her father though, she puts up a fight which gets her in trouble. Surprisingly Coppelia never noticed the issues her family had before her siblings went missing and her parents were even more unstable than what was normal to her. As if she didn't already struggle sleeping it got even worse for her, grieving heavily at the fact she might not even see her twin brother or younger brother again. She didn't know what to do and was afraid of when her father had to get back to work, but Margaret wasn't there anymore. Luckily their friendly neighbor Mrs Andrews would offer to watch over her and her baby brother, offering her support to the girl and comforting her. She knew what it was like loosing someone.

Name: Charlie Afton.

Nickname: Charles.

Age: 11 (When he died)

Charlie is the twin brother of Coppelia!

Struggles with anxiety.

His favorite animatronic is puppet.

He really likes collecting porcelain dolls.

Enjoys listening to the music box because it was a lullaby his parents used to comfort him with as a baby.

Charlie is actually left handed but forces himself to use his right to blend in!

The lefty animatronic was based on a stuffed teddy bear he owned.

Later Scott recreated Lefty as a animatronic to capture Charlie.

Like Scott he is also clumsy and skittish.

He is very pale and easily gets bruised.

To avoid people assuming bad things about his home life, he wears make-up, long sleeves and pants.

He originally wore make-up to just hide his bruises but started to enjoy it!

His parents find this adorable and often his mother helps him experiment around with her make-up stash!

Even though he keeps calm under stressful situations, when conflicts arises his anxiety skyrockets.

Especially when his and Coppelia's bullies search for them during school.

He knows Margaret has a drinking problem but hasn't said that he knows.

He hates when his parents argue because of how his brother accidently got in the way and was injured in the past. Luckily it never happened again.

His favorite cousin is Chris, someone he heavily sympathizes with!

Vincent stabbed Charlie multiple times in the lungs out of drunken rage, leaving him outside to bleed out in the rain.

Charlie is the oldest son and younger twin, taking a lot after both his parents. He is quite gloomy, clumsy and introverted but a passionate caretaker like his mother. Like his sister they're not exactly popular at school and the kids often picked on them, but Coppelia was there to protect him! Sometimes he wishes he would be able to do the same, to show that he was capable.. But all he could do was run and get the teacher. He makes up for this when he is able to protect his brother and the missing children after he is killed by Vincent outside of the pizzeria. The reason he died was because he was waiting for Scott to finish working after Maggie forgot to pick him up. Then the same children who bullied him and his sister threw him outside and locked the door. At first he blamed both his parents for his death, but stopped holding a grudge against them when he realized Scott and Michael tried to free them behind the scenes.

Younger siblings:

Name: Bartholomew Fritz Afton.

Nickname: Bart, Fritz

Age: 7 (When he died)

Has ADHD.

His favorite animal is the fox, hence why he loves and adores foxy.

He has an obsession with pirates and pretends to be one all the time!

His favorite holiday is Halloween.

He likes to tease and be the annoying younger brother, often copying Coppelia's behavior.

Whenever he's bored he ask his parents or older siblings to read to him.

His favorite books are pirate books and books about norwegian folklore: because they have scary sea creatures.

Sings those kids nursery rhymes 24/7.

Hates loud shouting and glass breaking after he accidentally stood between his parents when they were arguing.

His favorite cousin is Brenda because she likes playing pirates with him!

Vincent lured Bart to parts and service, breaking his kneecaps, cutting of his hand and slicing his throat. It was so deep he pretty much decapitated him.

Bartholomew also known as Bart for short, is the second oldest son. He is hyperactive and outgoing to the fullest, insisting he is the leader of any group he comes across, siblings or friends. You'll often see him wearing pirate gears and singing songs, dragging around his younger brother who happily follows. He also never stops talking about what interests him and struggles knowing when to stop. He loves pirates, sea creatures and foxy! Bart also always unintentionally gets himself into trouble, even if it isn't his fault and while he loves his father the most, he hates being punished by him and go to the thinking corner. After he was killed by his own uncle Vincent, like the other missing children he can't trust adults and is very aggressive. Even to his own father Scott, when he figured out he possessed Foxy and tried to communicate with him.

Name: Sammy Afton.

Nickname: Sam.

Age: 4 (in 1984)

He is a very bubbly boy, who easily make people smile.

He is somewhere on the autism spectrum.

His favorite animatronic is balloon boy.

Balloon boy was inspired by Sam's younger appearance and made by Scott.

He has a huge sweetooth and will try to steal sweets when no one is watching!

Margaret jokinly and affectionately calls him a ''menace'' to her existence.

He loves being around other people, which is why he always follows his brother or mother around.

He has a few funny quirks, such as rocking back and forth when he is excited, walking on his toes or biting on things.

He also tends to be so quiet that Scott got scared by him multiple times becuse he was just standing there, smiling at him.

His favorite thing is arts and crafts and he actually helped decorate the pizzeria along with other children there.

He loves playing with balloons, but hates when they pop, then he will start crying.

He used to be close with Bart before he went missing, now he is very attached to his older sister Coppelia.

His favorite cousin is Elizabeth because she offered him ice cream once.

Sammy is the youngest son and the only surviving family member of the Afton family with his older sister after Michael and his parents. As a child he was a bubbly boy filled with laughter, often finding himself following others around rather than leading the way like his older brother Bart. He was very young when his brothers disappeared and when he got older he struggled remembering them. When Maggie was sent away to the mental hospital, Scott retired to take care of him and was finally able to improve on his parental skills. When Sammy became an adult he started working under Fazbear entertainment despite the history it held to his family with his sister.
