autism cure research, generally not coming from point of, those with it wanting to improve life this way. but more so—people around them believe it what they want it what they need it improve life, and, uncured autism seen as … difficult for people around them, expensive for government to provide services, take up resources in medical places, etc.

majority autistic people *in actually autistic community, who understand this topic, & can talk about their opinion* don’t want whole cure

there not-small-group of autistic people who cannot reliably tell you what they think about this, or in way that easily understood (can’t communicate, can’t understand, etc). they need be remembered in this conversation (& arguably centered… bc they gonna be more affected. see below)

having said that. there exist autistic people of all types who would want cure for own autism. out of those have seen myself, majority of them [high support needs / nonverbal or level 2/3 or diagnosed severe or significant symptoms of some sort] whose life extremely different from peers because of it (& like majority of their problem not caused by “society” & won’t disappear if society & capitalism not exist anymore). it how they feel about their own autism, n feel counterproductive in “educating” them about their own (clearly personal and upset) feeling about what they want do with own disorder, especially since they not funding cure research or whatever. but—

autism, developmental disability that start in childhood, famous for be the “be treated as can understand and make own decisions” and “have autonomy respected” and “not ever forced coerced do anything” and “not force abusive therapy to make them appear ‘normal’ ” disorder. (sarcasm) — don’t really believe we as society are at place where we would actually respect “only for people who want it. won’t force it on people who not want it”.

aka. if cure is post-natal, AKA happen after birth… they will directly or indirectly force cure on autistic people

force post-natal autism cure will disproportionately impact those who… higher support needs, diagnosed level 2/3, diagnosed moderate severe, diagnosed low functioning, diagnosed comorbid intellectual disability or global developmental delay, diagnosed comorbid genetic developmental disability, nonverbal… diagnosed children, in conservatorship, ward of state, in prison, generally not fully legally allowed have final say in decision making… visibly autistic, have/said to have severe behavioral issues, BIPOC especially Black people… (incomplete list)

which. not to say autistic people who not any of these won’t be affected at all. because will. but as a whole, people on that list as a collective group, will be more impacted, more coerced, more forced, even won’t be given choice, to take cure (maybe won’t even be told was given cure), over people not on that list as a whole.

am going emphasize that autism is developmental disorder that start in childhood & children get diagnosed with it & children legally not final say in make decision & children very easily talked into agreeing without full informed decision & those diagnosed as children more likely be [higher support needs / nonverbal / more significant symptoms] (EDIT: at time of diagnosis) because those most noticeable earliest + global developmental delay then catch up later on happens (to vastly simply it to a fault, quoting someone, “no shit they high support needs, they children.”)

can also see welfare slowly not covering uncured autistic people, insurance decrease / deny / make harder coverage for autism related services other than cure, schools & esp special education less support for autism, etc. general official resources for autism decreasing (which. not much to begin with even pre-cure), which again impact all autistic people but especially list above… oh and poor people. can also see stuck in limbo of “will not get support & welfare if uncured autistic, but no money to cure” because this shit will be expensive

when this much at stake (aka if there no resource for keep be autistic, n resources locked away only able get after cure), when big percentage of autistic people cannot reliably show informed consent in some way (cannot reliably communicate, cannot reliably show they understand, or literally not allowed have decision capacity legally, etc)… if an autistic person say yes they agree. actual willing yes? not coerced? not misled? not forced into it?

autism & autistic people (& by extension, care people they depend on) don’t have enough support to begin with. in this current reality without cure lol. can we focus on that too pour as much money in that too — let’s not talk autism’s inherent quality of life until you give all autistic people as much care as they need & for it be freely n easily available

don’t really think current science have enough tech & resource cure autism like this. autism is complex disorder with complex sources & hard to say if current what called “autism” based on behaviors & internal reported symptom not actually group of different disorders.

however: finding genetic cause =/= cure. find genetic cause can easily lead to find cure research. but should be clear that they not equal to eachother, not automatic mean eachother.

Below are some habits and rules to keep in mind throughout your studies and some tips that will elevate your learning experiences.

☆ Setting boundaries and learning to say no

It is always easy to say yes and join every social event that one is invited to, however its crucial to consider your own personal life and the consequences of your decisions. Hanging out with friends is a needed event as a social creature, however it's better to exercise caution and know when to say "no" to focus on your own goals and dreams. Don't get pulled into the pace of others and focus on finding a routine and schedule that works for your own benefit.

☆ Being comfortable with your own company

You will find in uni that there are lots of times that you will spend alone, and maybe feel a little anxious that you're the only person who isn't constantly in the company of someone everyday like you maybe were in high school. However, realise that even the time to yourself is a time of value, and treasure those moments to focus and work on your own goals. It is easier to get lost and lose sight of your ambitions when with others who don't have the same aspirations as yourself. Use your own time to sit down and work out what you want to achieve and quietly put in the effort to win.

☆ Never being scared to ask questions

It can be quite daunting to ask questions in lectures, so I prefer to ask my questions during times that aren't forced into a short time interval, such as tutorials, office hours, and other forms of learning support that your university/college provides. This way there is no rush to answer my questions and take my time in working through concepts and ideas. Ask questions based on your own conclusions, questions that challenge current rules and perspectives. Think deeper into your lessons and seek to make use of every bit of information.

☆ Being curious

This is very much related to the point above, that being that personal interest really aids with the brains memory retention. The more things you approach with an enthusiastic attitude, the easier it is for your brain to remember and categorise. Having curiosity, even if it is forced, gives a great advantage where you seek to interconnect the information you learn with other data, and grow more networks of neurons that allows your brain to stay healthy and active.

☆ Initiating contact

Struggling with a theory or assignment? Great, it shows that you are actively trying to understand a concept and working your brain muscles. Now the best way to comprehend or complete what you are struggling with is to access support materials. Still difficult? Reach out. Your teachers, professors, tutors are all there for your benefit. Use them intelligently and squeeze every drop of assistance and support from them while they are still available to you.

☆Watching educational content to aid your studies

You can never lose from learning a bit more every day. However make sure to fact check and find your information from trusted and quality sources. In general, it's always a win to be educated in various topics from health, sciences, arts, humanities and more to gain a better understanding of ourselves, our world, and humanity.

Silence is Golden. Or: Women should shut up.

One thing Men really don't need (especially after a long workday) is a waterfall of words when they come home. This does not mean Men don't care about us, but they are not as communicative as we are. They need their quiet and rest to recharge their energy.

Also one of the main reasons why a man wants a divorce is a nagging wife. Nagging can be really harmful (even to your Man's health) and sadly, nagging happens automatically when we just word vomit whatever comes to our minds. We tend to talk for the sake of talking because we want to communicate with our Man and we want to include him in our life. The problem, however, is that Men can't differentiate between what is important to us and what is just word salad. Men tend to focus on problems and want to provide us with solutions, so whenever we bring up problems to them they feel the need to solve them. That can put a lot of stress on them (especially when they are listening to us instead of recharging their batteries). So even if we don't mean to nag them, we often do so by accident.

It is important to reduce our communication (while on the other hand, it is important for Men to increase theirs) so we can meet each other somewhere in the middle. This is where gags can come in handy. It is easy to restrain yourself from talking when you have a gag in your mouth. It makes us think about what to say and prioritize the information we wanna give our Man. As a special hint to Men: gags can also be super useful during movies or sport watching if your girl has the tendency to talk over the TV. Don't cheap out on gags though. It is important to get a comfortable one. First, you have to get the size right. You probably have to try a few different ones, but i prefer ball gags with a slightly smaller ball. Don't go too cheap on the straps however, they need to be easy on the skin too. A full muzzle can be super useful and comfortable too, but the act of putting it on and off can be a bit of a nuisance. Now comes the most difficult part. Dear Sirs, i know that when your girl is gagged you feel super relaxed and you could let this go on forever. But it is really important that you give your girl her talky time. She needs to vent, she needs to talk nonsense and most importantly, she needs you to care about her life. So gag her when you need your quiet when you need to rest some, when you need to get some energy back or when you just need some me-time. This is perfectly fine. She doesn't need to talk 24/7, even if she wants to. But keep the clock in mind. Your girl needs her talky time as well. You can limit it and move it to when it suits you best, but you cannot get rid off it. This would only lead to an unhappy girl. But keep in mind that when her talking gets to much, you can gag her again. Just be fair about it and be sure to give her the attention she needs.

Please make sure she doesn't see it as punishment but as an important part of your relationship: quiet time. With young kids "quiet time" is an important thing in their education. And never forget that girls are like young children, so it is often wise to use tips for kids' education when dealing with us. i really believe that gags can increase the happiness of any couple. Like most things in a relationship, it is best when the Man is in charge and sets the right priorities. He has to handle it fair though. Remember that you are the boss, you decide. But your decisions have consequences and your job is to keep the relationship flourishing. So take what you need but give what you can.

If you think that the only way of helping Palestine is going to a protest, then you're not thinking big enough. While protests are amazing, and we need to keep the pressure on Biden and the other world leaders, here's some things you can do in your daily life that also help.

🍉 Follow the BDS list. I'll link some resources of what not to buy and what is safe. I know this gets confusing, but I'll try to give you all the resources you need to make informed decisions.

🍉 Give money to Palestinian organizations. Just like the BDS list, I'll link all the resources I have. Lots of them are helping on the ground to provide aid and give Palestinians a chance to tell the world whats going on.

🍉 Follow Palestinian journalists. I'll link a lot of them down below, but they are the best way to see what's going on right now.

🍉 Listen to Palestinian people. I'm white, so I only want to use my voice to uplift Palestinian ones in this issue. I will stand hand in hand with them and use my privilege to push them to the forefront, but I never want to to take the spotlight away from them.

🍉 Learn Palestinian History. I'll link some great resources I found that helped me learn the history of the Nakba, the constant degradation of Palestinians by Israel, and why this issue needs to be talked about until Palestine is free.

Article title: "Let's Talk About The Kids Online Safety Act (KOSA)"

"Back in July, the U.S. Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation approved the Children and Teens’ Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA 2.0) and the Kids Online Safety Act (KOSA). COPPA is good legislation focused on the collection of data by web operators from users under the age of 13.

KOSA, on the other hand, is not great. The bill aims to prevent harassment, exploitation, and mental health trauma to minors on the Internet. Doing so will require broad content filtering to limit minors’ access to specific types of online content.

'This bill sets out requirements for covered platforms (i.e., social networks, video streaming services, or other applications that connect to the internet and are likely to be used by minors) to protect minors from online harm, including requirements relating to (1) safeguards to restrict access to the personal data of minors, (2) tools to help parents supervise a minor’s use of a platform, and (3) reporting of harm to minors from using the platform.'

The summary of the bill sounds innocuous enough. There’s a lot hiding below the surface. It was originally introduced in 2022, and its authors, Sens. Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) and Marsha Blackburn (R-TN), had to take it back to the drawing board after a coalition of organizations publicly opposed it.

Those critics worry that it will greatly limit access to sex education information and resources for LGBTQ+ youth. It will put significant pressure on online services to over-moderate users and content. It also forces State Attorney Generals to make decisions on what information is 'appropriate.' We’re already witnessing what happens when the 'appropriateness' of content and culture is left to individual states. Book bans, sports bans on transgender students, bans on gender-affirming care, and groups like Moms For Liberty taking over school boards.

Marsha Blackburn has already admitted that her goal for this bill is 'protecting minor children from the transgender in this culture.' That statement alone puts this entire bill in the same category as all of those other state regulations Republicans are trying to push through. It makes any democratic support of the bill unacceptable. Someone needs to call Elizabeth Warren and tell her to rescind her recent co-sponsorship of KOSA.

Even President Biden has voiced misguided support for this bill. Saying, 'We’ve got to hold these platforms accountable for the national experiment they’re conducting on our children for profit.' In the same way we don’t need or want politicians making policies or laws about our bodies, we shouldn’t need or want politicians or web providers making decisions about what is or isn’t appropriate for our children. That’s our job as their parents. Establishing a nanny state isn’t in anyone’s best interests.

KOSA also requires that web platforms enable stricter parental controls. Parental controls are good in theory, and when actual parents enable them. But this bill puts the onus on web providers to make decisions for everyone’s kids. Including older minors who, at the age of 15 or 16, should have some right to privacy and access to information. If you’re a kid who doesn’t feel safe at home for whatever reason, being able to find online mental health resources may mean the difference between life and death.

The other bad part of this bill is that it will require websites and online platforms to collect MORE data from users. If you think The Internet knows too much about you now, just wait. Age verification may require all users to provide much more personally identifiable information (PII). Your IT Guy can tell you this will put your information at significant risk of data breaches and threaten users’ overall privacy.

To some degree, I understand and even support a desire to get Big Tech under control and held accountable for bad actions and platform mismanagement. But The Kids Online Safety Act doesn’t stop there. It’s going to make at-risk communities even more at-risk. It’s going to adversely affect user privacy. And most importantly, at least one of the writers of the bill is prepared to use it to hammer away at trans rights and social acceptance.

We are all first introduced to Yoda in Empire Strikes Back. We meet him as Luke does, old as shit and probably ready to be One with the Force 30 years ago. And chances are, the parents he did have (cuz we all got ‘em unless you’re an amoeba) were likely like him. Parents who would grow old at the same pace he does. Now there is a chance they died when he was still young and didn’t have much time with them, but we can’t know this for sure.

Din and Grogu’s relationship is visible. Guys, this dude took one look at Grogu is his floating bassinet and was like “parental instinct activate!” He offered his finger to the Child (as we knew him then) just as some would a regular human baby. From then on it was paternal energy all the way. Din wants the best for him and protects him with everything he has. He tries his best to understand what he needs and will do anything to provide it. They legit road-tripped around looking for a Jedi and Din made that hard decision to give him up. He knew then that was best for Grogu, but still couldn’t stay away.

Grogu knows how much Din loves him. That’s why he stays with him. He wants to be close to him. He doesn’t do well when he’s separated. He misses Din. At 50, Grogu is still at the level of infant it seems. So communication is simply coos and babbles, but Din knows what he is saying, in the way of true parents.

We have a parent-child relationship displayed in such a a pure way, and to know it’s just such a short moment in Grogu’s lifespan feels so unfair. What makes it worse is that I don’t think Grogu understand this yet. I am unsure if he is aware just how long he can live, as that’s not something that’s instinctual. He’ll have to watch Din grow older and older and older in a short time span for him.

Din has to know this as well. Surely he is aware of the species Grogu is, or has been educated on them at least. He could very well be aware that he’ll quickly outlive Grogu. That he won’t be around much longer to protect him. Granted Din isn’t on death’s door yet, he’s still got a mid-life crisis or two left in him. But perhaps this is why he was so dedicated with getting Grogu training in the Force. Mandalorians and Jedi aren’t besties, but Din knew that was Grogu’s best chance at protecting himself. And now that Grogu rejected that path (for now), Din wants to have him trained as a Mandalorian. He wants Grogu to have the best chances to survive in a galaxy that’s been ruthless to both Mandalorian and Jedi. Because he won’t always be there to protect him and it’s going to happen a lot sooner than either of them want.
