i'm tired of the "jackie taylor couldn't be mean" concept because people can be mean even with the best intentions, and while i don't think she would purposely hurt anyone without reason, she's not immune from being an ignorant teenager.

(long post, if you wanna argue i'll be annoyed bc this is just what i think and i GET why ppl are saying what they're saying.)

she was a privileged, selfish teenager. those aren't negative things, but they do mean she's got blindspots.

there are so many explicit times she isn't kind to shauna and thinks she's being helpful in the pilot alone; she shuts off shauna's music the moment she gets into her car and insults it, she offers randy (who is clearly disgusting) to shauna as though he's on her radar, she insults shauna 3x before telling her "you're the best friend I've ever had, you know that, right?". sure, part of this is shauna's fault for not calling her out when she hurts her, but that doesn't change that it happened. are these all heinous, terrible things? no. but they grow on someone.

she's learned love from an abusive mother. she doesn't know how to express it in a healthy way. she is a teenager, teenagers rarely have that emotional intelligence.

the reason jackie's ghost is kinda mean is because it's exaggerating what shauna's memory of jackie is. we have to believe what shauna says about jackie pre-crash because the evidence supports it.

when jackie does absolutely nothing to help the girls in the wilderness? no one is surprised, they don't bother her about it because there's no use - she only listens to shauna.

when the girls figure out she's gone off with travis? van says "that is so jackie".

when she insults nat and slut shames her? no one looks surprised.

taissa, actually, looks surprised when jackie says something nice and true about her in the pilot.

we also see her purposely be mean to shauna (which shauna deserved don't get me wrong) when she says "I'm just trying to get you help for your baby" and "I wouldn't want us to fight over some guy" and when she forces shauna to tell everyone she's pregnant.

jackie may not INTEND to be cruel, but she is capable of it. to say she couldn't say something mean is to ignore reality - people can be hurtful even if they don't mean to be. and she did hurt shauna, even if shauna waited until the last possible minute to tell her, even if she didn't mean to.

like i've been the jackie in this scenario before. she doesn't know she's hurting anyone! that's not her fault! she's just selfish! she can be well-intentioned and bitchy sometimes, it's the duality of fucking existence. let your faves have flaws.

you ask, you shall receive. i've been thinking about jason and dick as vampires in relation to each other, so this'll be a post about both of them just for the sake of comparisons. also, in my mind, this au takes place during the 19th century because i've conflated vampirism with the victorian era, and it's also no capes in regards to vigilantism bc vampires do love a good cape.

in this victorian era, vampire au dick would be either a nobleman or straight up royalty. he's got status, money, and a pretty face, and he uses them all to his advantage when it comes to feeding. you know in the originals or itwtv when they host an event that's actually a cover for them finding their next meal? yeah, he does that. he flirts with all of the ladies, plays into his charms, and sweeps women off their feet. and at the end of the night (sometimes even mid-ball), he coaxes them upstairs and ravishes them, sometimes in more ways than one.

i think for dick feeding is something he can have fun with, knowing that he holds such a high ranking in society that when bodies of people he's been seen with show up around town, people turn a blind eye. and even when someone does try to investigate, the wayne family checking account talks enough to shut down anything beyond a questioning.

in many pieces of media surrounding vampires, there are people who know about vampires and choose to feed them their blood. there's a bunch of lore that explores the idea that a vampire bite is almost orgasmic and kind of addictive, which is why some people are more than willing to put themselves in harm's way by either being employed by vampires or by straight up just throwing themselves into a vampires line of sight with open wounds.

with that being said, i think dick grayson likes the chase. i think that even if his father (bruce, who is also a vampire in this au because vampire families are just superior) has people on his payroll to provide blood for them, he's going to go out on his own to flirt a bit, get laid, and then have his fill.

which brings me to my next point; while feeding, like sex, is an intimate act, it's far from necessary for dick to need an emotional connection with a person he feeds off of or even a physical one. sex and feeding are related but not totally synonymous, and if he needs to just feed or just get his rocks off, he can. is it preferred? maybe not. i believe he does like the mess that comes with doing both at the same time.

ok so for jason, ugh so obsessed with him as a vampire because i think it's so in line with his canon story. in a lot of vampire lore, to become a vampire, you have to consume the blood of a vampire and either die or be on the brink of death, which is just so. it's so jason dying and being revived by the lazarus pit coded. and even the way he inevitable that he will spill blood post-revival in both this vampire au and his canon storyline…it's almost prophetic.

anyway, jason's approach to vampirism is quite different. i think he struggles with it no matter how long he's been one. he can't fully grasp that he's immortal; he looks in the mirror and sees that he hasn't aged a day and he feels sick. being a vampire for him feels like a curse and he only continues living because he's scared to die (again).

he doesn't stay anywhere too long, typically hopping from town to town in the middle of the night when less people are around. he believes himself to be out of place amongst normal people and he's paranoid that people can smell the iron on his breath when he talks to them so he makes it a point to have minimal interaction with people.

it's crippling, he drives himself mad with the solitude, but i feel like another reason why he continues to stay alive is to spite his creator, whoever that may be. he's most definitely got an agenda, in true jason fashion. i just don't know what it is yet.

he feeds only when he needs to but tries not to let the hunger get too intense because i do feel like when he loses control, he's the stefan salvitore type. a ripper. but he's pretty good about it and is almost polite when he's feeding? like he finds a victim and says i'm sorry before just absolutely tearing into their jugular.

i just really think he grapples with his own mortality, or lack thereof, and how it exists at the expense of others. so he is genuinely ashamed of who he is and what he's become. so, while blood drinking is something he needs to survive, it holds a lot of weight for him, which is why i think drinking blood and sex are pretty equal for him when it comes to intimacy level.

that brings me to my MAIN point (which isn't really a main point because it's being reduced to a small paragraph at the end of this post), all of that was background for this, eek. the act of drinking blood during sex is so. big. for him, it's eye-opening, life-changing. the amount of trust required on both ends for this to happen…at that point, it's basically end game for you two. and it's so funny because that's just a normal tuesday for dick.

anyway, i do have more thoughts and more lore, but this got really long, so i'll cut it off here

Lgbtq+ headcanons with the Dovahkrew

These are Sexuality and romantic orientations not gender orientation headcanons. Sorry. These are also MY headcanons so if they don't match up with your headcanons it's not personal so please don't get mad at me. I am curious to see your headcanons as well though.

Inigo- Heteroflexible. He is most definitely interested in women and I always head canon that after the events of Skyrim he does settle down with the woman of his dreams who just happens to own a sweet roll shop. But I also feel like he would definitely point out a man's beauty. He seems like a very comfortable in his Sexuality kind of guy.

Lucien- Questioning Asexual Biromantic. He seems more interested in knowledge and learning other things than a relationship. And if someone did ask about his orientations then I feel like he wouldn't be able to answer that because he doesn't really try to experiment with romance of any kind.

Kaidan- Bisexual with maybe a fem preference (including feminine or men). I also see him as Pansexual because honestly I don't think he really cares about what gender his lover is.

Auri- Sapphic or Lesbian. I mean her creator basically made it Canon that she Prefers women.

Rumarin- Panflux 100%. Gender doesn't get in the way when it comes to any type of attraction to one another.

Vilja- I really only know her from a video of Inigo dialogue they have together. If I had to make a guess I would say she's straight or Pan, but I'm leading more into Straight.

Sofia- Bi with a big male preference.

Hoth- I really wish there were more videos and content on his commentary in Skyrim because I don't have him, but I'm interested him so much that I'd love to know more about his character. I feel like he doesn't use labels and gender isn't that much of an issue when it comes to love.

Taliesin- Pansexual. I mean come on its THE Talisman.

Gore (aka bby girl)- Questioning Omnisexual. It just feels right to me

Caryalind- I can't remember if rabbit said his sexuality was Demiromantic Asexual. I know he is Ace (or at least on the Ace spectrum) but I can't remember is they anything about being demi. I think he's Demiromantic.

Lucifer- Polysexual but I feel like he does have a male preference though I could be very very wrong. It's so funny because I play with him a lot on Skyrim but barely know anything about him. He holds grudges, he's very secretive (good on him because i would be too if i was in his situation), and he loves argonians. He seems to look up to Xelzaz and Inigo (and in some sense he does seem to be very enthusiastic when first meeting Nebarra until he realizes he doesnt like his personality) a lot which is what fueled my belief that he's maybe Achillean (Sapphic but for masculine terms instead of feminine).

Nebarra- I 100% believe that he refuses to use any labels. I think he might lean toward women a bit more, but that would only be because of how altmer are only raised to make the perfect child, so opposite sex relationships are probably the most common in the Summerset Isles. His commentary on Dibella, Dibella Sybil quest, in the Night to Remember he says how he hopes we got to experience the Dibellan arts, and how he jokes about being Lucifer's father just prove that.

Xelzaz- Don't get mad at me, but I think he's straight. He says when hes ready he's like to marry a female argonian, and the only other time he's fallen I love was with another girl. I don't think he's asexual, but I think he definitely isn't very interested in it though we wouldn't really know because he seems very adamant on wanting to keep that part of his life private (as he should I love a king that doesn't feel like he has to tell us his sexual life).

Remiel- Asexual Panromantic. It was already proved Canon that she's Asexual. I had the conversation with her where she tells is she doesn't feel sexual feelings towards someone as she does with romantic feelings (also good on her. Not every relationship needs to have sexual desire in them). She's fallen in love with boys before and didn't seem too mad about being arranged to another man so I don't want to label her as Sapphic. And she does fall in love with you regardless of gender and I haven't seen anything that says she has a preference from the creator so I believe she's panromantic.

Secunda- I really don't know her that much yet as I'm still playing with her. First impressions is telling me panflux though I could be wrong though.

Hey, I am the person the 2004 tord person talking about. I mostly put that "teen tord dni" header thingy cuz i don't want people saying that i am problematic or some shit, since i have done research about it so i know 2004 tord is actually not a teenager, but that's just a huge popular headcanon in the fandom. I already got accused of that once and it made me mad, that's why i made the header, but it's not in general, teen tord people can interact as long as they're aware that it's not canon.

Trying to look at it unbiased, but I've been seeing some headcanons/spec that talk about B&T hanging out with Eddie/including him in plans to keep his mind off of Chris post S7 . . . and I just don't see it? Outside of 7x04, we haven't gotten any hint that friendship continued. It's not a full headcanon of mine, but if we believe that 7x04 was Buck's POV, I'm inclined to think the the friendship was greatly exaggerated in Buck's head. There's also the air of pettiness from Eddie at the bachelor party? IDK. Maybe if the show had referenced them hanging out (just Eddie & Tommy or all three of them) post 7x05 I might feel different, but I don't see E or T being friends (friendly yes, friends not really).

Okay, I have been sitting on this for a while trying to make myself unbiased about the situation, turns out it is hard and I'm still mad about stuff. After 704, I was actually hoping Eddie would keep the friendship. I actually made multiple very angry posts at the way Buck in his jealousy put Eddie in a position where he would feel bad for having fun, especially considering the way the things Eddie does with Tommy are all related to traumatic events, flying the helicopter when he was in one that got shot down, wrestling for fun after the fight club era. But the thing is, the friendship vanished for whatever reason. Considering the way we don't really see them be friends with an unbiased pov, since 704 is on Buck's pov, I'm led to believe Buck's jealousy was making the friendship bigger than it actually was. It's either that or Eddie legit went "sorry my special guy is feeling left out I can't see you anymore" and stopped hanging out with him after Buck's outburst. Do I think they'll keep that friendship or try to develop it again? Depends. If they plan on developing Tommy beyond Buck, if they plan on making the relationship last longer, if they plan on making buddie canon. If they plan on developing Tommy beyond Buck, then I think one of the easiest ways is to explore this friendship. But I kinda think that if they were gonna explore the friendship, they would've already. We didn't even see Eddie with Tommy at the party after the medal ceremony. So I kinda don't think they'll want to develop that because Eddie is Eddie and he kinda looks like he's trying to blow up Buck's partners in his head no matter the gender (supportive king 👑). And making the 3 hang out together sends a message. Someone needs to 3rd wheel. Since Buck and Tommy are dating, you would expect it to be Eddie, but Buck and Eddie are little freaks. There's a reason they didn't let Tommy stay at the bachelor party, yk? Buck was all this is not a date and he wouldn't want to make Eddie feel left out and the next thing you know Buck and Eddie would be 5 shots in singing karaoke and Tommy was gonna be there 🧍🧍. Buck accidentally locks Taylor outside during the dinner in 511, so it's not like he never did it. From the way I see it, with the way they write Buck when it comes to Eddie, if you try to write the 3 hanging out to distract Eddie from Chris being gone, Buck would hyperfocous on distracting Eddie and Tommy ends up being the odd man out. Eddie wouldn't focus on Tommy because the last time he did when he hung out with the 2 he ended up in the hospital. So it would be a weird situation. And I don't see Tommy as the type of person who would watch Buck and Eddie being Buck and Eddie and continue to date Buck after. Because unlike Taylor, Tommy has the knowledge that Buck is not straight, so to be put second to Buck's best friend is not something he can rationalize in the same Buck's previous partners. And Tommy has been shown as being very unbending. Personally, I think that friendship was over the second Tommy showed up at Buck's door. Because both Eddie and Tommy picked Buck in the situation in a sense. Tommy tried to apologize, excuse Buck's behavior, that led to them dating and Eddie will always pick Buck anyway. So yeah, I think Eddie will be friendly with Tommy unless Tommy does something that hurts Buck, then he will be the Eddie who ready to let a man die for the crime of being engaged to Abby and go very not friendly, but I don't see them hanging out.

First 1: Memory in my design has white streaks they got from Void's side! Void just dyes his hair black to hide em for unknown reasons (probably ego or smth I dunno. Voids out of my control /j)

2: They're 6'4, uses mostly It/They but also uses he. They prefer mostly the other two tho but won't get mad if he is also used. (This one's mostly based off how in canon, Memory was referred to as a thing by Sabre, and he would use It/They until switching to He. Mem was still called a thing but used he ig). Oh and ig they also used nicknamed but only like it when Void calls em them. Like Memmy/Mem/Memoy/Fancy Steve lol

3: He has light sensitivity and uses their mask to help it when outside of the void/memory dimension

4: It has heterochromia, but in a different way! His left eye doesn't have a iris/pupil, and the area that's supposed to be white is pure red like Voids. (I think it's called the sclera) and also on said left side, they have a scar on its cheek that it got during some event they doesn't like talking about

5: Memmy likes cats and owns two! One tuxedo cat named Voodoo, and the other, a black cat (Bombay I think) called Morticia! Memmys had them since they was a smol lil swirly peppermint boi, and treats them like royalty as deserved 😤

6: (this one's kinda from a quote my friend made but it's too funny to not make a Memory headcanon) If Memory got called a specific slur I'm not gonna say, he'd just be like "Yeah no duh, it's obvious. Now please tell me something I already don't know about myself, or leave please and thanks."

7: Memory is highly skilled in swordsman ship, archery, and fighting. It's won awards in competitions they entered secretly (not because Void would be mad, but because they're Void's son. Void's like a king/God in the eyes of the other steves [of course except Nightmare LMAO] and terrifies em.) They's only lost once and that was more on its end since he didn't want to do competitions anymore, so they purposely disqualified itself by starting a fight.

8: while this one may be more of a ship that was started for funnies, it took my brain over so uh yeah. Memory is married to Faceless. The reason for why (to me) is because since Faceless doesn't have a face (no duh), he's immune to Memory's powers, even when mimicking others. And Faceless just couldn't resist a fancy boi in a suit. (I love this ship but at the same time I'm like "I want it gone from my mind its been 3 months help") ik they never met canonically but I speculate they met a tiny bit when Elemental worked for Void and El had to capture Faceless. It's a long shot but yolo I was bored

9: Memmy boi like flowers. Mostly roses or any black flower, but they'll be content with any other color if red & black are unavailable :)

10: While Memory may seem stern and cold, when you get to know them, he's really nice! Though it's usually always on guard and will unintentionally break your arm if you happen to spook them (somehow).

11: Memmys very sneaky and will smile a cheeky smile when it scares someone from behind.

12: Memory really hates cameras. Like, REALLY REALLY hates em. Whether it's off or not, they don't care and WILL throw a dagger at it. This one's more from a funny thing Sabre himself replied with in his discord when I said "I wish Memory had more screen time. He would of bee such a cool villain" with Sabre replying "maybe he did but we forgot".....I walked basically right into that joke but I love it so I'm considering it canon /hj

Uhhhh yeah anyways I think that's it other than more funny meme ones me and a friend made when I was bored and thought 'what if after the camera was off, Sabre and the steves would have a smp world together' and Memory would be the sometimes chaotic one of the server.

I want a Good!Tom Riddle that is NOT Tom X Harry!

I recently read Chamber of Secrets for the first time and, as someone who watched the movies first, I was genuinely surprised about how much I relate to Ginny Weasley!

Tom Riddle is incredibly charming and, just like little Ginny, I completely fell for it (even though I knew he was Voldemort all along). I just couldn't help it, he plays the role of the sweet, innocent Golden Boy too well!! I genuinely felt sorry for him when he started blushing while talking about the orphanage he lived in 💔

Obviously it's just a facade, a mask he wears to manipulate people and not his real self. I'm not at all trying to somehow justify the actions of Lord Voldemort. I'm just saying that, like Ginny and Harry, I fell for him.

But when I decide to search online for Alternative Universes where he was actually this prince charming with a heart of gold (*hyperbole*) that he pretended to be, I only found disgusting Tomarry smut.

I do understand that this is a crack ship that shouldn't be taken seriously, but damn, I must say I'm deeply disappointed and sad. Apparently, Tom Marvolo Riddle can only be "good" when the author wants him to fuck Harry James Potter.

And those fanfiction don't even base his "good side" on what we actually see him performing in the book, but apply the most generic and cliche 'cold, no feelings boyfriend and only y/n can made him love again' personality, but y/n is just called Harry.

I'm deeply mad at this fandom. Tom Riddle could be such a layered and complex characters if we consider his Golden Boy Persona as real, or at least something he's trying to be.

I know that J.K. Rowling dives more deep into his past in later books and I currently only read books 1 and 2, but from I could see, good!Tom Riddle (canon based + a bit of my headcanons): Comes from a negligent (possibly abusive) household that he much rather not go back to;

Tries to be the perfect boy in school, in a desperate quest for acceptance;

Tries to do what he judges right, even if it hurts other people or himself, it's for the greater good;

Does not have actual friends because he can't bond with people (and some people think he's just a show off);

Is a Teacher's Pet because he subconsciously wants validation;

Spent 5 years trying to learn more about who he and his mother's family are;

(Probably has a pet Basilisk — who might or not have killed Myrtle);

Gets along better with snakes than humans, because he doesn't need to try so hard around them.

Speaks Parseltongue in his sleep.

I'm fully aware that it also sounds very cliche, and I the need to say that as I, myself, don't ship Tom and Harry at all, I'm not here to hate this ship or on its shippers. “Ship and let ship.„ You do you, guys. I can understand how the whole Dark Mirror situation could have been appealing to some.

I just wanted to vocalize my frustrations about this damn ship basically monopolizing the "Good Tom Riddle" tag on Ao3.

I promise I'm alright. I might get mad or even momentarily upset but I was aware that if my blog ever got popular that it was going to happen. I see it happen to other artists, I see my mutuals get hate over political opinions often enough. It isn't surprising anymore, it's a sad fact that gaining attention means some of it will be negative.

But it's honestly a minority, most of the anons I get are well wishers or requests for art and writing.

I'll admit the acephobia was unexpected and it cut me deeper than I thought it would, probably because I'm ace myself. I know it's not worth taking personally but I do get tired of feeling like there's no place for me, even in the LGBTQ community. There's a pervading feeling of my existence being grudgingly tolerated but no one wants to see people like me in media because sex and romance are viewed as such an essential part of the human condition that ace or aro characters are treated as "disappointing" or "lacking"

Maybe also because I put so much of myself into my interpretation of Adam it's hurtful which someone comes up and asks if they can headcanon him as allo. Especially given that nothing is stopping them from making their own version of the creature and there's no reason they need to project their head-canons onto mine.

I’m honestly trying to find someone to give me some insight / confirmation the whole jjk fandom isn’t like this because I’m genuinely so disheartened.

So I have a friend who lives in Japan I met online who goes to lots of conventions. She told me that gojo has been confirmed straight by the creator Gege in multiple magazines and interviews in Japan. After I was told that I did toms of research and saw proof that was true.

I’m someone who likes to follow canon simply because I like facts and like to be respectful to the authors creation. Obviously he people want to headcanon that’s fine! I just like following canon.

Earlier today I made a theory post about something which I briefly brought up gojo being confirmed straight and sited my sources (it wasn’t even the MAIN point of the theory. It was a part of it but not the main focus)

IMMEDIATELY after , like 10 minutes my inbox was SWARMED. I had people calling me homophobic (when I’m in the community) a piece of shit, I disappointment. I got told to off myself. My favorite fanfiction blog with a BIG following dmed me to delete my account and to shut up.

All because I said Gege confirmed Gojo to be straight in canon with sourced proof.

I really really don’t feel well after this? For one my favorite blog dming me that was upsetting, people telling me to kill myself also upsetting.

I don’t even understand why though?

Like the proof of Gojo being confirmed straight is on Twitter with magazine translation from Japan where Gege said it. It’s been said in more than one interview with Gege.

So why are people so mad about it if it’s canon?

The scene with Ed and Fang in the boat is like Lucius recounting his horrors a couple episodes ago, shouldn't be funny, but...it's funny

Lucius is a man of some learning, he should know that Izzy's shark story is not, strictly speaking, fiction: A metaphor is a figure of speech that describes an object or action in a way that isn't literally true, but helps explain an idea or make a comparison.  (Thanks, Grammarly!) Izzy's not covering up shit with that story, he's explaining an idea.

Anyone ever see Northern Exposure? There was a great scene in an early episode of that show where Joel was trying to figure out how Marilyn could sit still and quiet on her shifts as his receptionist and he was just boggled that she could, as Fang puts it, sit with herself. I'm not sure if this quote was from that episode, but I know it's a Marilyn quote: Words are heavy like rocks … they weigh you down. If birds could talk, they wouldn't be able to fly. That has stuck with me for a looong time. Anyway, sorry to blather, that's what this bit of Fang and Ed's conversation reminds me of.

So much to love about this scene, obviously. Much has already been written about the kiss (THAT KISS!!) and Ed asking to go slow and Stede meeting him where he's at, but I am obsessed with the way Ed looks down, ever so slightly surprised, when Stede takes his hand. When, in Ed's adult life, has someone held his hand in a romantic context? It really is perfect.

And all that is to say nothing of Sometimes it's nice to be patient and wait. Jesus H Christ. When those two finally fuck, brains are going to melt and run out of the ears of fans all over the world.
