I think a lot of the meta about Orym forgets that Orym isn't just an adventurer, he is a former bodyguard. His self worth is tied up in how well he can protect people and especially his loved ones. Thats why he sold his future to a hag, because its all he had left to give in order to be able to help.

Thats also why he seems so angry after FCG's death.

Otohan has killed his husband and father. Then him. Then he is brought back and told she also killed Fearne and Laudna. She killed Eshteross. She almost kills Keyleth. Now FCG has to sacrifice himself to save them all and kill Otohan and Orym was knocked out for it.

His job is to protect people and even with the added power from Nana Morri, it's still not enough. 6 years later and his loved ones are still dying and he can do nothing but watch.

Tim had his spleen removed, right. This means he would not be able to withstand bacterial infection as well (a.k.a. getting sick, which happens a lot when people get injured or sleep deprived cause their immune system weakens), so for his own safety, he would likely take care of himself more than the other bats would care for themselves. He probably wouldn't get in a fight he knows he would badly lose, or win but get very injured during. Tim would be the calm and calculating one. He already is deemed as smart and a great detective, so that makes him even scarier.

Even when Madam Yu used to whip him so much that he had scars, had him kneeling for hours in ancestral halls, even when after bringing him back Jiang Fengmian didn’t even care enough to give him a room/or even give him clothing that actually fit him and put his safety always second to his own children. Wei Wuxian only thought of them positively, and yea sure it must have been one thing to consider they don’t love him as family, but it must have been another when Madam Yu’s last words to him were literally “I hate you, you damn brat.” When the two people (MY and JFM) who were closest to being his legal guardians both told him, “Use your own life and protect our actual children.”  And he just bows his head in agreement, it hurts, it hurts so bad. And yet he follows through with it until the end. Wei Wuxian deserved better, he deserved so much better than what life gave him.
