a/n: GOD I AM DELULU, I had a dream of this like a few nights ago and while this ain't my fav piece nor is it very good, i had to write it

The American sector was all Laswell’s territory, but for this one, it became an international threat as a Bosnian mafia leader was said to be planning a visit to Miami. Which so happens to be where you were also staying as there was a press conference for your new movie. Laswell, sweet matchmaker she is, knew that you were in town, so she specifically requested Price for this assassination mission. Gaz came along too, only because she wanted him to have a break. 

Laswell called you two weeks before, informing you about the man and Price will be tracking down, using your press conference to get close to him. The plan was easy, you finish your conference and lure him into a conversation, invite him to LIV, and from there it was all Price. One thing she forgot to mention, however, was that Price didn’t know you were involved until he landed and you greeted him. This “American undercover agent” was you. 

“Love, what are you doing?” He whispered calmly, yet demanding in your ear as he nuzzled into you. From everyone else’s view, it was just two lovers reunited after months of waiting, which was true anyway.

“The eagle has landed.” You mumbled as pure bliss wrapped his strong biceps against your ribs. 

Laswell laughed in your earpieces, “Surprise John, you get an easy mission and see hot shot Hollywood queen too.”

Out of the corner of Price’s eye, he sees Gaz sitting with a woman, both with two cups of coffee on the table they shared. “Bastards you two.” He should’ve seen it coming with you wearing one of Gaz’s hats and Laswell’s sunglasses as your disguise from the paparazzi.

“Get on with it.” Laswell and Gaz cheered and laughed at the two of you with Price’s sour expression ruining this heartwarming moment as you giggle at him. 

The press conference went great, though Price’s anger and utter annoyance at you wrapping your arms around this very violent and dangerous man did make Laswell tease him the entire day until you two got to the club. 

Price wraps his arms around your waist as you stand in front of your mirror as you finished up doing your hair. “You’re so pretty, Love. My star of the show.”

You giggle and kiss his cheek, turning around and using your thumb to rub his cheek and groom his beard. “Are you ready?” You pat his suit jacket lapel and feel the glass vitals of white snake root extract. 

“Always.” His hand caresses your thigh to feel your holdout, a small handgun. Price insisted that you have one with you at all times throughout this mission, and just with you in general because he knows about hidden vendettas against celebrities. 

“Tarik? Right? We spoke today?” You purred as you slide into the VIP table next to the target. You lean your chest forward towards him and cross your legs. 

A few tables away was your own VIP table with some of your costars and their dates. Price leaned back against the vinyl booth, a glass of Don Julio Real swirling in his hand. The booming bass shook through his bones as his eyes stayed trained on you, Gaz’s voice in his ear as he instructs him to move to the bar on the 5th seat. He sees you reach for the man’s chin and drags it to your face. You whisper something to him, close enough that even the DJ couldn’t drown out the fake lust that dripped from your words. That was enough for him as he let you go and grab two drinks for the both of you. 

Walking up to Price in the 3rd seat at the bar, you wave down to the bartender and asked for a bottle of Remy Martin. Price paid and smirked at you. “Having fun here, Sweetheart? Never seen you before.” 

You giggle at his charades, “I’m usually filming or at E11even though. I like that accent you got going on.” 

“Worcester, Darling. I’m sure you’d love it more when it’s right in your ear, hm?” His breath felt hot on your ear lobe as your fingers moved to his chest, taking out the vital. “Have a drink with me instead, it’ll taste better.” 

You smile and roll your eyes playfully. As you stand with the two glasses, one filled and one empty, and the bottle in your other hand, you whisper something nonchalant to him. “We should film it then. Actress after all, right?”

John bit his cheek to cover up his growing smile as he stayed at the bar counter, thinking about the hotel room that he’ll be bringing you back to. Laswell gags, and Price rips out the ear piece and shoves it into his pocket.

ok so it depended on which teacher u asked ig? cus my language teachers adored me (😋 academic validation yes) but my p.t. teacher LITERALLY H A T E D me like from day 1 to day last she LOATHED me i have a suspicion why but forget that but my science teachers also loved me mainly cus i was good at science then 😭

15. favorite book you read as a school assignment?

okay well we never had to read books for assignments but we had library books that were switched weekly from 5th grade right? and i wud say my fav book that i read out of those was probably 'The Twins at St. Clare's' by Enid Blyton or the Secret Seven series. i love love loveddd these ones i would literally beg around asking for who had the next book in the series so that i could exchange my current book with them next week. another series i literally loved sm was the fairy chronicles by J. H. Sweet. like, r u kidding me? just look at the names of some of the books they SOUND so good

and they are kind of spiderman-esque? like, i dont remember very clearly because i was literally 10 when i was reading these but i think it was smth like there is a secret fairy society and these girls are fairies but they can't tell their parents or any normal human but they have to save the world whenever there's smth wrong it was SOOO GOODDDD. anyway i'll stop ranting about them now 😭 (also one last thing, i loved the twins at st clare's sm that i actually googled if st clare's is a real school where i can convince my parents to let me go to BECAUSE IT SOUNDED SO AWESOMEEEE AAAA)

23. strange habits?

ok so out of the habits i do know that i have, some strange ones are:

i am one of those people who will crack(?) their bones sm it will either terrify you or piss you off. not kidding. i start with my back, the typical try to bend backwards with some kind of support halfway till your back, and then i twist my upper back all the way to the left and then to the right and it literally sounds like gunshots. (i think theres sm up with that, gonna go to the doc soon) next i crack all my knuckles etc etc etc i do it with my elbows and my knees too its sooo satisfying but it drives my dad crazy aksjks

i touch my nose a lot. this is smth i have noticed recently but i feel like whenever im having a convo with someone and dont know what to say i scratch the bridge of my nose or just touch it or smth and its SO SUSPICIOUS 😭 like i feel like the person's gonna think im hiding something or lying i promise im not suspicious im just nervous or smth 😭

i......sing. like, when you're saying smth but u realise that that sentence is a song lyric too and then why would u say it normally when u cud sing it like an i-deserve-a-grammy-person? yea. that. i do that a lot 😔 do u still think im cool

i donttttt knowww i guess it would be a lullaby or a nursery rhyme? i really dont remember any songs from my childhood 😭 like i guess i remember the theme of this one cartoon i used to watch which was called 'chhoti anandi' (its so cool i still sing it sometimes) but i think i was around 8-9 when i started watching it? pretty sure i listened to more songs at that time and before that too but ig thats one of them so 💪🏽

ch60: culture fes arc has some of my favorite color pages and b&w pages and my favorite aesthetic in general really. also i owe hijita my life for proposing the chinese dress theme. haru looks so so so good in chinese clothes and the combo with hatanaka's hoodie in the underground culture fes is top tier. also my favorite non-cover color page and volume promo are from this arc too

the color palette is also so good i basically stole all the colors for that halloween art i did (still love it so much). now u might be thinking. if i have so much to say abt this one why is it only 3rd. tbh its bc this one is the oldest of the 4 so ive had more time to savor it. also i just like the principal one better than this one, and i like the hatanaka one better than the principal one. (but i dont actually necessarily like the hatanaka one better than this one?? its a rock paper scissors situation)

ch25: this one isnt getting dethroned anytime soon its just so good. the COLOR PALETTE the LIGHTING AUGH ITS SO GOOD. and of course haruaki looking sexy as always 👍 this might be one of the sexiest harus tbh. i think its also one of my favorite official arts in general i cant think of many that i would confidently say i like more than this one. ITS NOT EVEN ATTACHED TO SOME DRAMATIC CHAPTER ITS THE PTM CHAPTER LMAOOO

ch33: i am so married to this chapter. one of if not my number 1 fav chapter. tbh this one is tied for 2nd with the miki one, its just bc i like how colorful the miki one is. this is the only time haru gets drawn with just solid black hair and its very pretty 😳 this one is also a package deal with the 2018 october gfantasy cover in my head bc theyre both teacher trio, not really in their usual outfits, from around the same time, and gets made as merch together often

ch75: im not exactly married to this one like i am with the top 3 but its just good art good composition good colors!! its just such a... cozy and normal scene contrasted with it being a color page. (wait fuck thats what the arc was about)

u may be wondering. why are all the single page ones sort of old. this is actually bc recently all the color covers are double pages (from 76 to 102 there's 1 single page and 9 double page covers)

vol 13: aughhh seimei...... punches walls etc im so normal about it hahahahah god i love the parallel with vol 1. sensei insane for this. i have nothing else to say this cover just fucks so hard i spent days oogling it why is seimei so hot. also aughh the unused draft for it would have been so good too but the vol 1 parallel was probably the right choice....

vol 10: this one stockholm syndromed its way into being my number 2. ok not really its a really good cover everyone is rly pretty and its a very fun composition and u know i love culture fes. but also it was the thumbnail on a lot of manga sites for the longest time so it ended up being the cover i associate with yohaji in general the most, maybe even more than vol 1

vol 14: i am easily swayed by principal 👍 i see principal and i neuron activation. its so funny its like the most blantant spoiler cover

for a while i was like "how come my fav inside color pages all seem to be from recent volumes" it turns out its bc sensei only started doing full scenes for them starting at vol 10

the vol 11 one IS really good but its up against such bangers as "has principal" or "has haru" or "has seimei" sooooo

vol 10: look this one has principal and is culture fes of course its my favorite. easiest decision in my life. i think for all these categories the top 1 spot was super easy and 2-4 could all be shuffled around. it may not make me as mentally ill as the other 3 but its straight up good art i would set this as my phone screen any day

vol 13: hi this one makes me mentally ill. its so cool it has such cool imagery and its also so inscrutable. what does it all mean. why is saturn there. this one (and also all of kyoto arc tbh) makes me want a anime so bad

Gunnerkrigg Court by Tom Siddell- I could write that I love it because it has Coyote and end there because that'd be enough. But I also like so many of the characters Annie, Kat, Shadow and Robot, and Parley and Smit and like so so many of the characters. And most of all I love the world building and the story. God how amazingly it is set up.

Digger by Ursula Vernon- The black and white art style is stunning. The story and world building are just so so amazing. My inner anthropology enthusiast connects very deeply with this anthropology coded comic. And also it has Grim Eyes, and Ed and Shadow Child.

Blame! by Nihei Tsutomu - This is still the most beautiful comic I've seen. Idk what about it resonates with me so much but I regularly just like to open volumes at random and look at it. The concept is good too, don't get me wrong. And it's like a 10 vol manga that kinda has like 2 characters that matter and most pages don't have any dialogue or writing at all...

Every single piece of Kon Satoshi's - literally everything that man made is amazing. It's beautiful for one. But also everything he made was about perception of reality. About how reality is formed from the subjective human mind. How it is formed from imperfect memory and lack of full knowledge because it's impossible to have all the information. etc. He hasn't made much, his life was cut far too short. You can watch everything in a week and you should.

The Pillow Book by Sei Shounagon - This book is such a vibe. Shounagon can be subtle yet savage. It's a very easy read too, it's very relaxing. And you can just open it at random and read a bit and just enjoy its beauty.

Hunter x Hunter by Togashi Yoshihiro - It traumatised me, I haven't recovered since. It has permanently merged with my consciousness. It includes Gon and Killua and many other characters I love and very neat writing and a bs power system that's absolutely amazing.

Jujutsu Kaisen by Akutami Gege - It traumatised me, I haven't recovered since. It has permanently merged with my consciousness. It includes Yuuji and Kenjaku and some very neat writing and some frustrating writing and a bs power system that's absolutely amazing.

Parenthesis by Élodie Durand - It's one of the best uses of comic as a medium I've ever seen. The theme in itself is very much up my alley because it's about memory, and perception and the mind. But the way it uses comic... I don't think this story could've been told in any other medium, or if it was it just wouldn't be so much...

Mononoke (2007) by Toei Animation - Fuck me it's beautiful. I'm very not normal when it comes to textile art and it's like textile art but anime... And the stories are fucking amazing. It has a whole story about koudou the traditional art of incense ... There's nothing better than this.

The Duchess (2008) - It's a very entertaining fanfiction about the fascinating woman that was Georgiana Cavendish. Her biography is also a very good read but heavier, but also more nuanced. And Keira Knightley and Hayley Atwell are amazing in it. Plus the visuals...

CATTLE DECAPITATION AT DECIBEL TOUR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey everyone, sorry for running 3 days late but better late than never, here’s my 5th review of 2023, Cattle Decapitation on the 2023 Decibel Tour!!!!!!!!!!!! This was my 2nd time seeing Cattle Decapitation as I last saw them almost 4 years ago on their own headlining tour with Atheist and Vitriol, which was also my last show of 2019 at the time. This time around they were the 2nd last band I saw on the Decibel Tour as it was headlined by Dark Funeral, I didn’t stay for DF because when I saw them with Cannibal Corpse I honestly found them boring live. I will say I did enjoy seeing Cattle Decapitation a 2nd time around since I got myself more familiarized with their material.

Let’s begin the festivities!

First band up was BLACKBRAID!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I hadn’t  heard of this band before but when I looked them up on Metal Archives they were categorized as a black metal band who are Native American and I thought to myself “This definitely sounds interesting” sure enough they were absolutely phenomenal. Frontman  Sgah'gahsowáh had incredible stage presence and especially at one point he had burning sage during one of the songs and I just loved the pleasant aroma of it.

Next band up was 200 STAB WOUNDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This was another band I had heard of before but didn’t get a chance to listen to their studio material as I wanted to see what they were like live. I have to say these guys were also incredible live. They last played in Toronto 5 months ago at Velvet Underground on their own headlining tour with Undeath and a couple other bands so that was how the name came up. Frontman and lead guitarist Steve Buhl’s picking technique alongside his soloing reminded me of Jeff Hanneman and his singing position reminded me of Cronos re the mic being angled lower and his head being kept straight. My friend Ryan Byrnes or Byrnzie as we all call him, told me they’re one of the best up and coming death metal bands, sure enough after that performance I saw firsthand they are.

After 200 Stab Wounds it was time for CATTLE DECAPITATION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This was my 2nd time seeing this band as it was nearly 4 years since I last saw them which was December 4, 2019 at Opera House and I remember they were absolutely phenomenal. This would’ve been my 4th time catching them had I not missed them at Wacken Open Air last summer because At the Gates were playing at the same time and I wanted to see ATG play all of Slaughter of the Soul, which is my fav album of theirs and I also missed them with Amon Amarth, Carcass and Obituary last December at History due to me having a cold and not wanting to infect the overwhelming majority of patrons going to Walter Froebrich’s viewing and funeral, so I sold my ticket to my friend Rabih since he was inquiring about a ticket. Thankfully I got over my cold in time to attend Walter’s viewing. I will say with regards to Cattle Decap playing at History last December, Byrnzie also told me I didn’t miss much since the soundman burned them blind by making them sound like shit, so that was more reassuring. It was also interesting to see Cattle Decap walk on the stage to the Jurassic Park theme considering it will be 30 years since it was released this coming Sunday. At one point during the show Travis had asked someone in the crowd “Are you okay? Are you dying? *Crowd members yelling “We’re looking for a shoe”* Hang on I can’t hear shit. Someone lost a shoe? Get the fuck out of here, Jesus Christ you guys are too fuckin nice. Here I am thinking someone is dying in the crowd and a shoe is missing. I thought you had gotten run over by a fuckin’ steamroller” when Travis said that I laughed hysterically, although it was a scary moment because I thought someone had gotten injured ie broke their leg or fell on their head in the pit but thankfully no injuries, just someone who unfortunately lost their shoe. After Cattle Decap were finished, I bumped into Sandy and chatted with her for a bit, then chatted with my friends Kevin and Malaena whom I hadn’t seen in 9  months since BLS and Anthrax last August, then I lined up to get Cattle Decap merch which took a good while for me, and said hello to Noel and then I made my way outside to get some air where I got chatting with my pals Jeff, Rabih, Julian, Ian, and Luis, which was great considering how I didn’t want to endure another boring and insufferable Dark Funeral, or should I say Dank Funeral set like I did last November. Plus it was great to see a few other people I hadn’t seen in ages as well, whether it was brief or got talking for a long period of time.

Anyways I look forward to seeing Cattle Decap next time and hopefully on a headlining tour and overall a great way to spend a Saturday night.

I used to be rlly confident he was a cap rising bc he has intense bone structure and eyes but not in a Scorpio way, more in a strict saturn way. But to be a sag puts him past a lot of potential rising signs so the only ones left that have him at sag sun were Aries to Libra. I played around w some of them and I feel like he could be a Gemini rising! It makes sense cuz he’s known for being sooo friendly, bright, curious, and playfully witty and snarky. Here’s the selling point tho, depending on the time it could put his Gemini Saturn in first! Which explains why he looks like a cap rising to me lol

I’m bringing Haechan into this too bc I know a lot of ppl think he could be a Gemini rising and tbh I’d still buy it but I wanted to propose another idea. I think he could def be an Aries rising! So,I hope it's okay but I think with the recent info that Haechan allegedly confirmed his birth time (which I personally take with a grain of salt because I've read that he apparently talked about his birth time before and said it was around 12 pm so....we gotta take his word here but I think we all generally know one has to be critical with all casual mentioned birth times from celebrities, but guessing peoples rising sign is for fun so in the end it's not that serious and let's have our fun disecting the chart with the info we have now!!) I want to talk about Haechan's rising sign first!

So one thing that always stood out for me when it came to Haechan was that he seemed very sensitive to me. It's almost like it's kinda written on his face when he speaks (or doesn't) and I think by the way he acts (very animated and reactive) it just underlines this sensitivity and just emotional receptivness. So I wasn't really suprised to see that he has a Cancer Mercury. Being a Gemini sun already places a huge empathize on his Mercury sign, and Gemini with the influence of water really makes for some pretty reactive people, because they can be highly sensitive to the words, moods and hidden intentions of others. Makes one really moody as well, especially if it's a Gemini with water influence but that's just a random fun fact I wanted to add on asdfghkl. If we take his alleged birth time into consideration, he'd have not only a Scorpio rising, but also a Pluto in the 1st. I think the look of his eyes can be pretty droopey at times and yet very focused/piercing at the same time, kind of like he challenges you in that sense, and this is certainly a theme I noticed in a lot of Scorpio risings, especially if they have Pluto in the 1st as well (which a lot of second/third decade Scorpio risings have). Also, having his Chart ruler in the 1st and in the opposite of his Sun and Venus would explain why he is kind of 'on and off' in that sense with his energy and moods (when you watch him in interviews with 127 especially, behind the scenes, at vlives, etc), especially him asserting his presence in the room with a Sun opposite Pluto would make a lot of sense (btw, this is all written in a neutral perspective and no critique, this is just me explaining his behaviour with astrology here). Haechan also is extremely 'scheming', even when he just sits and doesn't talk in an interview he seems to think ahead and I think this os something that comes really naturally to him, just connecting the dots and adding his own twists and turns to a conversation and story. Also, his Mercury in the 8th adds to the sensitivity I got from him, and that with his Scorpio rising and Pluto in the 1st really add to his driness at times, just really flat with his responses and reactions (which come pretty quick and surprising as well). And let's not forget his Uranus and Neptune in the 3rd: very distinguished and unique voice, as well as having Uranus in the 3rd would contribute to his 'on and off' switch but generally very high energy he has, especially when having a conversation. Despite that having Sun and Mercury in the 7th in a conjunction makes one really sociable in the sense you could feel the need to communicate and interact with others (especially when the Sun in 7th is involved, outs great empathise on being with others, lack of social connections can result in strong lonliness at worst). Oh and not to forget he'd have a Virgo MC with a Scorpio Ascendant. For me at least, it only adds to the fact that Haechan is really a jack of all traits, Virgo MC people usually come across as pretty capable and are pretty self composed (also can come across as quiet judgy and they don't even notice it).

OKAY I WILL STOP NOW ITH HAECHAN WOWIE LET'S MOVE ON TO CHENLE okay so I think I've mentioned before that I think Chenle's face has strong Cancerian/Jupiterian vibes for me - his bone structure is phenomenal ofc, but I think his face seems kind of 'stretched' (same with Taeil) which is btw not (!) meant in any negative way because that doesn't exclude being pretty ofc. I know an anon before mentioned that they believe he is a Sagittarius rising but with him being a possible Sagittarius Sun that would explain the effect of his Cancer Jupiter! I think I once talked about him reminding me of young Leonardo DiCaprio so much that I just wished for him to be a Libra rising, but to be fair I think an Air Ascendant would make sense for his nature in general. Ex: to have a Libra rising he'd have to be born around 2am, which ofc would make him still a Scorpio but would put his Cancer Jupiter in the 10th house, also in a possible exact conjunction to his MC (and even if not it's still the closest planet to his MC). He'd have his Moon, Mars and Uranus both in the 5th house which would generally explain his extremely friendly nature (if we can believe Johnny's rising and I sadly kinda doubt it tbh because I can see him just trolling us with his birthtime I'm seeing the parallels here) and why it's so easy and probabl also important to him to conenct with others and be on good terms. Generally speaking I find him pretty jolly in nature and I think if he'd have his Jupiter in the 10th, possibly conjunct his MC and an Aqurius stellium in the 5th (+ possible Libra rising) that could be it. He'd have a Scorpio stellium in the 2nd house with his Sun in the 29th degree, and even if this is said to make people closed off, part of Scorpio in the 2nd house is a) maintaing close and intimate relationships is key for them, they really need that and b) they trive on being liked and admired. Not to say that he is fake in that sense (all people are to an extent but that's beside the point) but this can definitely add to a general charisma! But idk if Chenle is actually 'edgy' enough for this potential birth chart, probably not I believe

Another possible rising sign I thought for him was actually Taurus rising, putting his Sun, Mercury and Venus (exactly on the Descendant here if it would be in the 2nd decan) in the 7th house and his Aqaurius stellium in the 10th, Jupiter in the 3rd. With his Sun being already in Sagittarius I think it would add to a natural 'want to feel good' attitude and searching for pleasure and good times in every situation and Aquarius in the 10th can make for very sociable people, even if they feel more introverted in that sense they have an easier time making connections with others, or others feel drawn to their friendly and understanding nature. Also, his Jupiter in the 3rd would be in a trine woth his Venus in 7th (especially if it's on the Descnedant) which can grand him an easy hand with social groups and settings to begin with!

And I really like your idea behind the Gemini rising, depending on the decan, his MC could still be in Aquarius with his Aquarius Mars in the 9th conjunct his MC and his Uranus in the 10th conjunct his MC as well, and again, putting his Moon in the 10th. Idk but his Aquarius stellium being possibly in the 10th just really seems to resonate for me 🤠🤠 Also, having a Sagittarius Sun in the 6th would make him most likely someone who's easier to work with, because these people value having a good and rather lighthearded atmosphere around them. Very enjoyable and loyal as friends and extremely passionate in their work place/when they pursue something their heart is in.

6. Which artists inspire you right now? To be honest...None and everyone. It's always weird to hear this question, cuz I honestly, have no idea myself. Normally I watch a bunch of people that draws stuff absolutely different from one another. Some people draws cartoony stuff, others very anime things, others are into hyper realistic things, others love to draw landscapes and perspective...What I do, is to watch their things. I like to be inspired from little snippets from their works. Hints, if you want. But saying that I absolutely take inspiration from X or Y artist it's a bit of a stretch for me. So, yeah lol. A bit from everyone. Not necessarily from specific people. XD 15. Biggest artist pet peeve? I'm unsure if they mean something that bothers me about MY art, or about artists in general...I'll go for "in general" things that go for me as well. When eyes are not proportioned. Also, when people -me included- start a pic without sketching a base first. Unless you are a pro -and I'm not, btw- and you are capable of make everything perfect r such sorcery, it messes up all the proportions and it shows. PROPORTIONS!

23. Do you listen to music or watch shows while you work? If so, what's your favourite? I tend to do it if I really need to focus. Like when I have to finish commissions and such things. Normally, I go for games music. Undertale's 5th anniversary orchestra is one of my fav. FNF metal covers are a thing too. But I also like to listen youtubers. Sean and Mark are obviously some of my favs, but I mostly like to watch their vids, cuz they often play horror stuff and I am a sucker for horror games...So I MUST to watch them. Also, Distractible it's a good background noise when I draw. But I mostly prefer story tellers. Horror ones are my favs. I was used to listen Corpse, back in the days, when he was doing it. Mr. Nightmare is a good one too. Lately I found out a guy on yt that tells -allegedly- true weird stories -mostly horror themed ones...Stuff about I dunno...From serial killers to weird cases- called "Mr.Ballen". It's entertaining to listen.

i finished dr2! it was so good! i was so happy when makoto, kyoko and byakuya showed up, it was just so cool!

i really like how they made the choice to leave not because of hope or despair, but because they wanted to move forward and create their own future. it was a nice way to end the game, and i’m glad hajime seems to have not completely disappeared as the ending implied? it was nice to see chiaki helping them one last time as well

my favourite case has to be nagito’s. it was just so clever and the realisation of how he’d set up the murder was so horrifying. it was a lot of fun to play through

danganronpa endings are always so good. i think the only "meh" ending is the dr3 anime :p

oh yeah, each of the main games has a different "vs" theme. "hope vs despair", "past vs future", and v3's is a tad of a spoiler but its pretty good too. im not sure if udg has a different "vs" theme i cant remember off the top of my head.

oh and yeah hajime's still there, its elaborated on a bit more in the dr3 anime and the ova (ive still never watched the ova actually). and chiaki honestly #1 homie. she just loves her friends.

nagitos trial is probably my 2nd fav of the whole series, my first is the 5th trial in v3. nagito's trial is just like, so interesting and really cements how smart he is.

and ye udg is pretty good. my personal opinion is that its both the best game and the worst game in the series. the worst is mostly about certain aspects of the writing while the best is because the protags my beloved <3

i honestly think it'd be cool if we got more "another episode" like spinoffs in the series because i just love exploring more of the world building of the dr universe.

1. hobi’s room

okay so i thought i would rank jin’s room first but then i saw hobi’s room and i saw that couch nd went OMG okay thats no.1!! i love this interior so so much, like i normally hate orange and blue as a combination but this seems almost more like red and blue and it really reminds me of hopeworld. there’s many pop art-like graphic design posters adorning the walls, showing lines like ‘hope‘, ‘sweet’ and ‘my way‘. the shoes on the closet(?) behind him were disaplayed bc those are the colours we wears the most in his fashion. and then there’s this iconic inflatable clear pink couch and him wearing a pink robe and just GOD what a mood, i want a room like this!! the chair reminds me a lot of the type of fun quirky furniture i fantasized about and incorporated into my drawings as a kid when i was around 8-11, probably because i got inspired by stuff like totally spies and polly pocket, which had all these designs clearly inspired by 60s and 70s space age design but more in pink and purple i guess.

also i hate the search for such stills bc even w safe search on, you still have godawful f3tish drawings depicting those kids from totally spies ending up in search results and it’s disgusting. but yeah it reminded me of that

when i say polly pocket, i particularly mean this quik-clik (magnetic clothes and hair) era in 2005 which was what i had some stuff from. i had that couch / movie night! set and the pool and that

also i just really like hobi’s room because with all the posters and cabinets and clothing items laid out and a carpet and fun colours and whatnot, it really feels like an actual room you could live in, unlike any of the other rooms which feel very empty or too minimalist to me. but YEAH hobi’s room is my fav, i love the way a fuller room feels more cozy and habitable and floaties and inflatable floaties are AMAZING

2. jin’s room

jin’s room is so prettyyyy!! jins explanation of the room was very uhm confident and funny but i love that. the couch looks like a lilac shell, which makes sense as everything else looks very pearlescent. i really love cool-toned pastels like lilac, powder / baby blue, periwinkle and everything just looks like it’s part of a waiting hall for mermaids or something. there’s also gems in it which took me a while to realize bc i only noticed the glass chandelier and lamp but then i saw them in his hand nd on the table. i dont rly care abt gems / jewels but overall i just love how this whole room speaks ‘pretty‘ to me. robes are always a plus. as i was writing this, i was also reminded of hair extension mullet jin with iridescent clothing and all and that is actually my all time fav photoshoot / look of him. him saying he’s the gem of the room makes sense too as he’s sitting in the shell like a pearl. jin pretty pretty mermaid

ok from here on its getting harder bc place 3-8 is not so much abt which is nicer but which one actually makes me feel any emotion bc i just feel too exhausted for excitement over comebacks or anything really. also minimalism doesnt make me feel anything either. but ill try

3. jungkook’s room

ok ive been staring at a screen w few sleep for too long so ill try to go through my ranking faster bc ive been working on this post for too long, also partially bc i cant focus nd partially bc theres some i just rly dont feel much for but i feel bad for ranking one lower than the other or ranking smth higher when ive talked to someone who dislikes a room i like dghkfdf

but yeah i like jungkooks room! its a very intense blue tht might make you depressed if youre in it too long but again i love how theres multiple items stacked in the bg and intense blue lights, and the ceiling looks like it has soundproof padding. its like youre in a recording studio or at some vaguely nostalgic party of a friend of my mom, who had plants in her home nd rock music nd the tv on and was smoking nd it was a bit dark and mysterious. i like it, it intrigues me a bit nd makes me miss going to concerts. also this pic rly just reminds me of 2008-2010 pop music videos where theres always a party and dj and people are wearing sunglasses or something and theres a dance break at the end

4. yoongi’s room

also blue!! the first time i saw this pic it was bc someone sent it to me to say how ugly they thought the decoration / editing looked w the metallic dripping stuff from the couch and whatnot but i kinda like it :( i like his velvety clothing and the light blue in the rest of the room is really pretty. i like mirror themes when done well nd i like how the reflectiveness shows also in the metallic dripping nd metallic spheres and the mirror hes standing on nd the way light reflects on his clothes and from the lamp. only the lamp feels a bit too much like a contemporary art installation for me nd his room already is a bit too empty for my liking nd i had the feeling when i watched the vid of him walking through the room that there was not much to interact w in the room like it was a bit dull. his voice in the explanation videos made it feel more like a place of peace / solitude rather than boredom or loneliness though.

5. namjoon’s room

ehh i think place 5, 6 and 7 are interchangable at this point. namjoon woulve ranked lowest but i listened to his explanation videos and saw him goof around in today’s video and appreciated it a bit more. the room still looks quite minimalist and not super comfortable, like youre not allowed to touch anything there (which is the same for jin i guess but i dont view that as smth meant to look like a living room). i do like how the wood theme is present throughout each wall nd in various items and w the windows nd use of space it feels a bit inspired by japanese interior design and that that is inspired by his bonsai tree nd love for woodwork, but im not sure. i was actually quite shocked some of his explanations were so short. so yeah i place this 5th bc i like how coherent the theme is but it doesnt feel cozy or inviting nd still very cold to me, maybe bc it looks too expensive or minimalistic in terms of colours.

6. jimin’s room

i like the flowers but also i dont like tiny flowers nd they tend to be the stinkier ones. i kind of like how jimins room feels the most like a grandma one w all the flowers nd offwhite and the lamp and beige i think? but the colours are so muted and if anything it feels like a place for a bridal photoshoot nd im just so bored. i love jimin nd feel bad for ranking a room he curated so low but it rly creates no serotonine in my brain, just melatonine bc im sleepy. i like how the room i obviously quite packed w stuff, but then the washed out colours make everything still look very bleak. hmm. i do like how the flowers reach outside the borders unlike w any of the others’ photos. im about to fall asleep so let me quickly finish this post

7. tae’s room

the picture in the middle behind him is interesting nd i dont know how he made that, nd i do like how he described his room as a place where there would always be enough food for visitors. i know it’s meant to communicate some highbrow, artsy vibe but w the weird editing and lightning nothing looks real in the room he’s in (including himself, like it doesnt even look like hes in the room) and it just looks kitschy instead of artsy. yeah i dont gravitate towards this one, it’s like deep-fried and desaturated at the same time nd i tend to avoid looking at it subconsciously

8. the first room photo

i first posted a long description here why but it disappeared but in short. this photo evokes no emotional response to me other than think of kind of crappy hotel rooms i was in w my parents while on vacation nd we slept in the same room or something nd the beds were awful nd made my moms chronic pain worse. the clothing is very boring and so r the colours of the room. i know bangtan curated stuff but its still the least interesting photo to me, maybe im too depressed to feel anything idk

Pokemon Black and White, in my humble opinion, are the shining pinnacle of Pokemon.

I know that this is a very bold thing to say (people can be FIERCELY loyal to the first 4 generations), but having played every generation of pokemon (aside from the johto games unfortunately) and yet I have always felt that the fifth generation always outshown the others. And below I'm going to say why I believe that.

The Pokemon: This is always one of the more subjective parts of pokemon, and yet I feel Gen 5 has one of the best rosters out if all of them. With the amazing pseudo legendary hydreigon, it's rival dragon haxorous, fellow bipedal reptile and cool shades wearing gater Krookodile, fellow amazing dark night Bisharp, other badass steel tank Ferrothorn, other beefy behemoth and part jet part canon Golurk, fellow mystifying ghost Chandelure, the infernal sun moth of beauty Volcarona, fellow bug types of both cuteness and badassery in Galvantula and Scolipede, there is a pokemon for EVERYONE in gen 5. Add a great starter team (Oshawott being my fav of all time), amazing box art legendaries, fan favorites with zoroark and excadrill, and I feel few pokemon generations can meet such high standards. Even though it certainly has some less than spectacular pokemon like vanillux (cherrim being a food pokemon people overlook) still being intersting in biology and actually not to bad stats wise, garbodor (muk and swallot being other annoying bulky poison blobs) having a cute unevolved form and actual battle uses, and cryogonal and klinklang (oh upset about inanimate objects? Hello, rotom magnemite bronzor and chimeco have some words for you) both having battle use and interesting and satisfying designs. Great quantity, a balance of typings (looking at you gen 4 fire types, gen 3 ghost types, gen 1 bug types, and gen 2 fighting amd psychic types) without any being too dominant. Additionally, it have great balance changes to many types (bug going from useless to amazing, ghost psychic and dark being balanced, new takes on types (more offensive steel types, powerful and bulky bugs, slow tanky fighting types, tricky ghost types, ground immune electric types, etc), and you get extreamly cute, badass, powerful, and all-around amazing pokemon.

The region: what's to say about Unova that hasn't been said? We have Castelia city, one of the most immersive and stunning city areas of pokemon history, the beautiful stunning skyarrow and village bridge, spanning and scorching deserts of route 4, beautifully snowey mountains and northern routes, and a unique exclusive feature of the 5th gen, seasonal changes! You can feel the lively nature of these games, each area having as much life in it as half a region in other games. Thats without even mentioning the new areas added to the sequel games, like the homey and exotic lentimas town, the beautiful ocean side and partially floating humilau city, and the realistic and grimy feeling virbank city, unova is beaming with life, feeling lively and homey in a way no other games can truely live up to. In addition, the change you can see between the base and sequel games is so amazing, with it feeling like a true improvement and expanded upon instead of simply the same area again like most 3rd entry titles of other regions.

The music: this is one of the things that is both the most subjective yet also most agreed upon. Theres a reason people say "Gen 5 music feels different", with it making the absolute most out of the limitations of the ds hardware. The calming homey feeling of Nuvema town, the energetic and electric sound of driftveil city, the intense and badass sounding elite four and legendary themes giving you both the feeling of being outmatched and the energy to fight back anyways, the memey and heart warming accumula town theme, aka the furret walk song everyone knows and loves, and finally the tear jerking, fittingly named song emotions, the only song to ever make me sjead a tear just listening to. The soundtrack, im both it's splendor and range is unparalleled, with it being one of the best soundtracks of gaming to date.

The story: this is the one neigh indisputable fact about gen 5: it has the best story line out of ALL OF POKEMON.

A little eccentric, realistic, can be intense, but also willing to put forth our time/effort and best foot for those you care about/love. I think these are great qualities, but most of all is your ability to heal yourself/others through understanding and personal efforts. I don’t think things come easily to you? But that often means the things you’ve gained through personal hardship/challenges and healing becomes life experiences you can teach and give to others- realistically, you know what it takes/the time effort and costs someone would have to give or sacrifice (willingness to open or do stuff a certain way) in order to surpass personal restriction, boundaries, and move forward. Favorite character: Ohhhh, tough one. I think I love Dustin and Steve equally as #1. (But Erica is a close second.)

Least Favorite character: Martin Brenner (such a dick. I hated that guy. Just not a villain person when all is said and done.)

5 Favorite ships (canon or non-canon): Nancy/Jonathan, Dustin/Suzie, Lucas/Max, Joyce/Hopper (but I didn’t like how they were portrayed S3 at all and honestly don’t ship them all that much now), and Steve/nailbat (hur hur). Nah, I guess my 5th would be El/Mike, but I wasn’t a fan in S3 for similar reasons to why I stopped liking Joyce/Hopper.

Character I find most attractive: Err, I dunno. I guess if I had to pick one I’d pick Steve ... maybe? Maybe Robin? (I’m aroace and just don’t feel attraction or really think about people’s looks, so this question is always one of those ‘ehhh, i guess?’ things lol.)

Most Badass Character: Joyce. I have mad respect for her. Like she has no special powers, no special fighting training, but she didn’t run from her house when creepy things were coming out the wall. She stuck by Will (and everyone else), charged into danger when needed, and all in all is just a total bamf. Joyce is so awesome.

Most Epic Villain: Creepy thing from S2 that possessed Will. Holy heck. (i forgot its name, but damn was it good.)

Pairing I am not a fan of: ehh, i dunno. I suppose Joyce/Hopper after S3 because I think Hopper acted annoyingly possessive and douchey, and I am not a fan of that kind of behaviour, nor do I like to excuse it or romanticise it.

Character I feel the writers screwed up (in one way or another): I mean hated Mike and Hopper’s behaviour in S3 when it came to the girl/woman they like. it was just dickish and not appealing at all. But I wouldn’t say it was overly OOC, so meh. No real complaints (though I wish Alexei hadn’t died. Alexeiiiii, come baaaaaack.)

Favourite Friendship: Steve and Dustin.

Interview with Mecharune

Today we interview Mecharune! One of our contributors in THE FIRST FLAME.

Q: How did you get into making art and for how long have you been doing it?

I've been drawing since I could hold a pen, and I've gotten serious about it in 2017. Prior to that, they were mere scribbles on blank notes.

And just like others, I got into art as a form of exposure toward literacy and pop culture

 Q: What traditional media or digital program do you prefer to use and why?

I use mechanical pencil and brush pens for traditional media. As for digital medium, I use Photoshop CS6 because it's an industry standard. Other times, I would use Autodesk Sketchbook on my mobile phone for portability purposes. And it's free :)

 Q: Do you mostly make fan art or are there original works you are also passionate about?

I'm currently leaning toward fanart, but they're mainly for practicing and engaging more with the community. I do have several original works in mind, a continuation of my original artbook/album and IPs.

 Q: Is there any artist or art movement that inspires you? Which ones?

Masahiro Ito, Yasushi Suzuki, and Isamu Kamikokuryo are my primary artist

inspirations.

I'm always fond of H.P Lovecraft, dark fantasy and steam punk world. So any creations alike that relives the depiction of these themes had great inuence toward my artwork as well. Namely, Silent Hill, Bloodborne, and Bioshock.

 Q: What would you say to someone who is willing to dedicate their life to art, but doesn’t take that step because of the risks?

If you're passionate about it,

go for it regardless of how long it will take for you to get there. Acknowledging the risks should help you keep an open mind, not tearing down your confidence. Plan ahead, be patient, be determined, and ultimately be creative in tackling challenges.

Q: What do you like about being an artist?

It's the liberation to express yourself and, perhaps, to influence others (e.g.  initiating  conversations).

"Blissful Redemption"

This is one of my early digital illustration that I created. I like to bring out genre- bending themes into my work. And this art piece marries both mecha and fantasy in certain ways.

“Limits”

This is actually the rst illustration of that year, 2017, when I too started to pick up the motivation in pursuing my artistic journey. It's an original piece inspired by the year Fire Rooster of Chinese Zodiac Calendar, and maybe an original IP in development.

“Yurie - The Last Scholar”

I love everything that From Software has to offer since Armored Core. And Bloodborne by far is my most favourite. I really like the Scholar's Lore for their admiration and unusual harmony they had with the Great Ones. Yurie was my rst Bloodborne fanart that I've managed to create, but also my first time tackling a full body portrait with background.
