Despite being trained soldiers and experiencing all types of horror on the battlefield, the 141 still acted like American frat boys. Once the guns were all locked away and they changed out of their fatigues, they were the absolute worst. One of their hazing rituals was to make their newest member watch a gruesome or terrifying horror movie. The ritual started when Gaz joined, they made him sit through Hostel and he still fears traveling. Next was Soap and he shared Gaz's sentiments after watching Infinity Pool and experiencing the absolute terror that is Mia Goth. They even roped König into their routine and watched as he held his hands over his eyes and sat through Megan is Missing. Poor boy couldn't even hide behind his mask as he watched the horrifying images of Megan appear on the screen.

After a good training session with the team, they invited you to watch a movie in the common room. It was your first week as an official addition to the 141 and you were happy to participate in some comradery. You headed off to the showers before the film and couldn't see the devious faces of Gaz and Soap. They had a plan for you that night and were excited to continue the tradition. "You don't think it'll be too scary?" Gaz said to Soap as they walked to the showers. "We picked a solid one," he replied but shuttered when he remembered his experience, "still can never look at me in the mirror."

After your shower, you dried your damp hair as you entered the common room. Your team had used their strength from training to move together two couches and a few chairs in front of the television. "Ready for movie night, Monsoon?" Kyle asked as he appeared with some popcorn. You grabbed a handful before you nodded. You took a seat next to Soap and Gaz joined on your other side. Price was lounging on one of the chairs and Ghost sat with König to his left. "We picked a good one, just for you," Soap said with a suspicious smirk but you shrugged as he unpaused the film. "What is it?" you questioned as you looked around to see everyone had a similar expression. "Nothing like you haven't seen before" Price replied and you nodded as you turned to the screen.

The movie opened with a family enjoying dinner and you rolled your eyes at the thought of another heartwarming piece. Before you could speak up, a woman entered and brutally murdered the family one by one with a shotgun. "Fuckin' hell," Ghost muttered as the blood stained the screen and you couldn't help but feel a little skeptical. "The blood is too red, they could've done a better job," you muttered and Soap looked at you as if you were insane. You threw your hands up defensively in response. "I'm just saying," you muttered and the film continued.

The next scene you had commentary on was when Anna was exploring underneath the house and discovered a secret chamber. There, she discovered a woman with a steel blindfold attached to her face. "Holy shit," Gaz whispered as they zoomed in to the metal mixing with his scarlet blood. König was silent but it was clear he was fearing the worst as he tried to look away. "How is she even still alive?" Price uttered and you chimed in. "Exactly! It's an actual death sentence and just unrealistic that they can screw that in and not have her die from blood loss," you exclaimed, pointing at the screen. Yet again, everyone looked at you incredulously. "You can't expect me to watch a movie and not point out the flaws."

You remained relatively silent and kept your opinions to yourself until Anna became the latest subject and experienced brutal beatings and verbal degradations. With every shot, everyone turned away but you just rolled your eyes. You even looked bored at some points, much to the confusion of everyone in the room. Even Ghost was a bit disturbed by the brutality of the movie and put down his plate of leftovers. "I don't get what's so scary," you mumbled and Gaz lightly hit your leg to silence your sarcastic commentary.

Eventually, Anna reached the "final stage." The screen was filled with horrifying imagery and in the middle of it König took a break to walk away and hit the head. You continued watching the spectacle and tried to keep your thoughts to yourself. However, as Ghost and Price looked disgusted as the doctor peeled off her skin in a few fleshy sheets, you couldn't hold it in any longer. You laughed as the attention was on you again. "What now, Sergeant?" Price asked, bewildered. "It's just so anatomically impossible for her to survive, I mean look at her she's practically being skinned alive," you exclaimed and pointed at the screen. König had the unfortunate timing of returning when the camera zoomed in on Anna and you could hear him turn around and walk away. You chuckled as Gaz's covered his eyes to block the sight of Anna sitting in a comatose state with nothing left except for her muscles and veins.

Soap had enough and grabbed the remote to pause the film. "Okay, what the fuck, Monsoon," he interrogated and you could feel the spotlight fall on you. "What do you mean, Soap? I'm just saying the obvious," you replied back and childishly crossed your arms. "No," Gaz continued, "why are you so unfazed?" You laughed suddenly and your sides began to hurt before you recovered. "Stuff like this doesn't scare me at all," you said as you wiped some tears from your eyes. "So you're telling me you watch this for fun?" Price joined in and you nodded in response.

"Oh yeah, I love horror movies!" you explained as they looked at you wide-eyed. Ghost laughed loudly at the reveal. "I've watched all kinds of messed up shit," you continued, "From The Human Centipede to Hostel, I've seen it all." Gaz looked at Soap and you could see the glint of disappointment in their eyes. "Were-were you trying to make me scared?" you questioned and the two nodded. "It's a tradition we have in the 141, watch a gruesome movie and get the shit scared out of you," he replied quietly and you couldn't help but feel a little bad. "We can still continue?" you offered but Ghost shook his head as he got up. "If I don't have to sit through this, I won't," he said and waved off before heading to his quarters. Price followed suit and Gaz began to clean up, leaving only you and Soap on the couch.

"You are fucking crazy," Soap swore and you shot a look at him. "You telling me that was scary to you, Sergeant?" you said skeptically and Gaz laughed in response. As he shook his head in refusal, you knew how you would get back at him. A week later Soap's screams filled the base as you had snuck a picture of the martyred Anna into one of his nudie magazines. "Serves you right, Mactavish," you smiled to yourself before you settled back onto the couch and played the first movie of your Insidious marathon.

Vox is ahead of Alastor in terms of effective in-the-moment conflict resolution, but goddamn if he isn't fucked up in his own fun little ways. They're so not done with most of these issues, but at least they're on they're way to maybe be able to have a real conversation about them!

As a sucker for medical gore and aroace angst, I lack the words to express my love and appreciation for your most recent installment of 666, but your writing of radiostatic's dynamic was captivating and proved to be such a lovely read as always! I loved that you touched on Alastor's relationships with the women around him as that has always been such an interesting aspect of his character to me! I never really put much thought into how Vox's apparent avoidance of Alastor in the show could mirror Alastor's disappearance, and now it will Not leave my mind. My heart hurts for these two dorks, super looking forward to chapter 2!

Honestly, this series has ended up a lot more edgy-bloody than I expected it to, since I usually tend to prefer to portray my whump/angst/violence/etc in a much more roundabout way, but it's actually kinda tipped over into, like... part of the point is how banal it is, how beside the point. The upsetting heavy-hitting bits aren't the blood, they're everything else that goes on around it. Meanwhile alastor, completely convinced that there’s no situation where vox actually loves him and is happy with the way things are—either vox wants more and is going to start asking for more, or he doesn’t actually love him and just wants to have sex with him and thus either way he is a Liar. They’re so fucking bad at this. No one is capable of being the adult here. I think they need an auspitice.

It's really funny that you said that, because that is kind of exactly the role that [spoiler] ends up playing, though in a more roundabout way, hahaha. They certainly need someone to, like, get them to be having the same conversation with each other instead of two parallel ones. I think the fun thing about writing Alastor reacting to his own feelings is just how much his reaction can change based on how things are framed for him, and it leaves a lot of wiggle room for how differently I've ended up writing him reacting to the season 1 finale in 666 vs in Happily Ever After, and Other Shit Nepotism Can't Buy.

But, god, you really nailed the description of what Alastor is feeling. <3

Literally nothing about how he read the situation was a bad take or a leap to conclusions, but alastor constantly says the opposite of what he means and refuses to admit vulnerability or friendship and what the hell else was vox meant to do with that, of course he backed off, they need to have this talk so badly

YES, PRECISELY! Like, I hope it came through that really neither of them was completely crazy to react the way they did! It's a result of how much of their communication has been nonverbal, implied, and talking around things - they'd been doing so well up until this point, but there's only so far that can take you before you start thinking that you're on the same page when really you're reading two completely different books! Probably one of my favorite lines to write, ehehehe. THANK YOU ANONNNN <3 It's kinda interesting to see how differently some people read this. Some folks thought Alastor was saying it to hurt Vox (which is how Vox read it). Some folks thought it was true (how Alastor intended it). Some folks thought Alastor was trying to fit into the mold that he thought Vox wanted from him (how I intended it). All of them make sense as readings! >:)

It all started out as a question. A question you and your boyfriend weren't expecting. You were in a relationship with both Steve Harrington and Billy Hargrove. Everyone wanted to know how you were able to pull the two hottest men in Hawkins, well little did they know these boys were and are crazy about you! You're crazy about them too, but kept your feelings to yourself thinking it was insane until they both approached you and admitted they wanted to try a poly relationship. And so far it was great! Billy and Steve are always the dominant guys looking over their gal…that is until Billy came to both you and Steve. He was pacing the room stumbling over his words which wasn't normal for him, so deep in your gut you got worried at what he was going to say. Steve could see this and grabbed your hand and looked at the nervous boy "You're making our girl nervous, man. What do you want to tell us? We're not going to judge. We love you no matter what." Billy stopped in his tracks and rubbed his face "I-I wanna try being the submissive one." He rushed out. You and Steve were shocked, but open minded about the idea. 

To say getting Billy in his subspace was difficult is an understatement, but you and Steve were able to do it. This is a new experience for all of you…especially you and Billy. For your entire relationship you've always been the submissive one, but now Billy wanted to give it a try and it seems like he's absolutely loving it. You and Steve were sitting on the couch, Billy between your legs resting his head against your inner thigh. You were smiling down at him and rubbing his cheek and running your fingers through his hair. You nibbled on your bottom lip and looked over at Steve "Is this what I look like?" You asked. Steve chuckled softly and leaned in closer so he could pet Billy on his head as a sign of praise. "Well, you’re definitely more bratty than our sweet baby boy…but yeah this is what you look like." He answered honestly. You looked back at Billy and placed both your hands on his cheeks squeezing his cheeks gently. You leaned in a little bit "Are you our sweet baby boy?" You asked in a soft voice. You could see the blush spread to his cheeks and his little innocent look in his eyes got bigger. He nodded his head which made you shake your head "Mm..words, please." You said "Or are you too far gone to know how to use them?" Steve asked, jumping in. Billy's eyes switched from yours to Steve's back to yours "Ye-Yes." He said in a small voice "Yes what, baby?" You taunted "Yes, Mommy." He said in a whisper. You smiled and leaned in giving his nose a small kiss. "Good boy."

It's been about 3 hours now and Billy was still in his subspace. It started to look like he was stuck and refused to come back. The whole night Billy was good to both you and Steve. He let you do whatever you two wanted with him. Steve was changing the sheets and getting clothes ready while you helped Billy in the tub to clean him up. Sleep was clearly in his eyes, his cheeks a rosey red from the sweat and heat, and his body trembling every now and then. You had the sponge in your hand covered in lavender soap so he'd feel a little more relaxed "You did so good for us. So so good." You were speaking in a soft quiet voice trying to get him to come back to you and Steve, but a part of you wanted to take care of him more. 

Once you were finished washing his body and hair you asked Steve to help get him out of the tub. The three of you got dressed in your night clothes, obviously helping Billy in his and laying down. Steve was sitting next to him playing with his hair praising him as well "You stay here. I'm going to get us some water and fruit." You said kissing Billy's forehead and Steve's cheek. Before you could leave you felt someone grab your arm "Nooo. Please stay." It was Billy and he was whining. You've never heard him whine "I'll be right back. I promise!" You said with a smile trying to reassure him. Billy gave you a pouting face, but allowed you to go anyway. 

It took hours to get him to finally come out of his subspace completely. He was back to his 'badass' act, but that went out the window after seeing him act like your good boy last night. He didn't want to admit how much he really loved it, but let's say some nights Steve had two submissives on his hands…and you were slowly teaching Billy how to be the best brat to push Steve's buttons. Oh the things the two of you did to get to Steve was great, but obviously not to Steve since was brat taming the both of you almost every night. 

You'd look at Billy and at Steve and say "Poor, Daddy." Adding a pout. Billy would follow along saying "Daddy can't handle us both." And the drove Steve mad!

Hey, saw your post and I love skin care (though I have a long way to go to know my stuff lol)

just for context, my skin is mixed (?). It used to be really oily, and my pores were normal-to-big, especially on my cheeks, nose and forehead. The thing is that this oil came from my skin being really dry, which made it produce more oil to compensate it. Also, I leve in Brazil and it's always hot in here, so I sweat a lot, and naturally end up producing more sebum, so even now that my skin is more balanced, I still have days in which I get pretty oily. If it's colder, I get drier.

With that being said, I think that are two things that you should pay attention: Cleanser and Hydration.

For cleanser, I can say FOR MYSELF, that dry skin/sensitive skin works better on me. My skin isn't really SENSITIVE, but it can get dry easily if I use cleansers that are too strong, and this ends up sensitizing it a bit. I don't like Squeaky Clean on my face or things that are too refreshing, like mint-feeling. So I use a cleanser that doesn't give me any of that. It's way more creamy in the sensation, and I love it (but it's from brazil, so I won't recommend it to you. There must be lots of other products in your country that would do it for you if you keep that in mind)

One thing that IS your friend is OILS. Every dirt in your face has at least some proportion of 'oil', cuz it's hydrophobic. This means you'll need something hydrophobic to get it out eventually AND/OR a product that will control the size of pores/the amount of sebum you produce.

I have a facial soap (no idea if that's how I should say it, but that's what it is lol) and a cleansing oil from hadalabo (the yellow one). For the cleansing oil, I recommend you sit it in your skin for a few minutes, so it can dissolve the oils in your face. Then, gently rub it (be careful not to rub too much or else the friction can hurt your skin and leads it to produce more oil)

Before, I used to clean my face with Essencial Fatty Acids (We have some tubs for it to scars that we can buy at the pharmacy, I suppose it's something that you might find as well) and I saw BIG DIFFERENCE in my skin. It will depend on your preference, really. The EFA one must be taken out with soap and the cleansing oil can be taken off with only water, if that's what the product recommends.

Things that might help your case: Niacinamide, Retinol and/or BHA/AHA products. They're not a MUST but they might help reducing the oiliness and control its production. You have to be careful, though, cuz not everyone tolerates it. I'd try for a serum or toner with it, just because it's easier to find those ingredients like that, and it won't take too much of your time.

One with niacinamide that I love is the Cosrx snail essence. Would recommend it 10/10. It's hydrating (not enough for winter, but it's good for me on summer)

Then, you have to find a good moisturizer. I don't have any to recommend 'cuz I didn't find THE ONE for me yet. I skin the rice one from Cosrx, but it's heavy for me, so I can't use it during the day. IT'S AMAZING OVERNIGHT, THO. 10/10. What I think you should mind is your preferences and daily routine. If you don't like the heavy ones, you won't use them. Skincare must be enjoyable, it's a moment of self-care and you won't incorporate it in your routine if it's just an obligation.

I like having one for sensitive skin, for when I shave and stuff. It helps calm down my skin. And I have one that is heavier which is great for both when my skin isn't great and is sensitive (waso shiseido. I don't know if I'd buy it again cuz of its price) but I can't put make up on with that. I'm looking for one that is in the middle of the way now SUHAHUSAUHSAUH

And sun screen and tons of water

In not writing related news, I've been doing the world's laziest (and therefore unofficial) version of the not-so-berry challenge in the Sims, and... Well this has been a learning experience for me for certain lol.

If anyone cares, I'm going to go into a little more detail below a cut here. Spare the rest of you lol.

First, with regards to my play style: I am insanely impatient. I play fast. I also rush my Sims into the first relationship I can get them into and then curse them with massive families because I love character creation and also drama.

Second, the reason that I am firm on this being a loose/unofficial version is because I am that impatient and while I do my best to keep everyone's needs up natively, I am prioritizing my story over the strict challenge rules and thus am absolutely cheating needs when necessary. I am not, however, cheating skills or money (beyond the game start when I used the money cheat ONCE, and I have not used it since) or career/aspiration requirements. I'm doing all of that manually.

So with that said... I have become wildly invested in this family. And I have favorites, 100%.

Mint Gen (Julep) was alright, definitely fun to play with the scientist track which I don't think I've messed with much. And I never play jealous Sims because a bitch loves poly, so that was new to me. But she was just straight up vibing with her chef husband and their six kids and her clone lol. I definitely should have moved them into a bigger house but meh lol.

Rose Gen (Jasper) was hard for me on many levels. I love poly, but I don't love players. I also didn't love being restricted to one child, but it did give me time to get all his skills up early so there was that. And also the politician track was legitimately difficult for me lol. I hate having to carve out time to go socialize. But this gen was when I really started finding a story, and like... it was genuinely such a little soap opera lol. Either way it made Yellow Gen (Midas) grow up in such a chaotic environment, as intended lol.

And when I tell you that Midas was my favorite... Literally my golden boy. I had so much fun with his story, and all the drama and the complicated family dynamics and the ANGST and I was actually legitimately sad when he died. Like he had finally kicked the juice habit, was happy and thriving, took his first day off from work ever just to spend time with his grandkids and mind his late wife's garden, and then... Boom. Right at the mailbox as all his kids came home from work. I knew it was coming. I was watching for it. I set him up for a good last day. And I was still devastated. He deserved the world. I could go on forever about him honestly. My sweet baby boy. 😭

His Grey Gen child (Gris) has been fun, too, but while she's 100% the hot one, and the messy one, she's... IDK. Maybe now that she's getting into her post-dad, get-out-of-the-house-and-settle-down era I will vibe with her a little more. She's got a lot of opposing bits going on but I'm really leaning into her fame to try and give Plum Gen a boost.

No idea what that is going to be like, because it's another one that runs very counter to my usual style lol. But Iris is doing great on her skills so far so we'll see what happens lol. Lots of first born AFABs in this family.

Anyway, that's just the main line. The eldest child of the eldest child, etc. The secondary lines have been out there WILDING. I check the tree every so often to get the latest tea and like. Midas' cousins were doing some INTERESTING partner swapping, and then his half-brother (Mom's son) married their mom (his dad's brother's widow) lol. Not my circus, but still damn fun to watch from the stands lmao.

IDK. I'm way too invested in this lol.

Like the kind of hyperfixation where you get pissed off when you have to eat/sleep because it's not Doing The Thing. Everything else in my life on pause because I can't stop writing ghostsoap fanfic. I'm either going to have to make a one shot collection or find the energy to write a proper story I'm just not sure which will happen.

(Also I love 141 antics and the concept that soap seems to trust Lone Wolf Scary Guy more than anyone (except possibly price) in both universes and I had to write everyone reacting to them being Team Dads. In reboot verse everyone has to react to them being idiots who haven't realised they both like each other.)

so delved into the grey’s reddit and god am i in a crisis💀 didn’t read the post u mentioned about april specifically but i can imagine why it would make u mad. what i can say is that people of reddit are like… too realistic? every post is like “this character was toxic/this ship was toxic. there are not meant to be blah blah blah”(which is valid for ships idc about) but at the same time the truth is my fav character is a traumatized meow meow/my ship was doomed by the narrative and they are endgame even after hurting each other 47465446466 times

conclusion: reddit users need to become slightly more delusional about ships and like romanticize more

I have trouble putting my thoughts into words so I hope this makes sense but a lot of character posts especially there read to me like someone not knowing that they can just dislike the character without real reason bc they spend so much time online (I mean I'm online a lot too so not judging that) Idk they just have the need to explain why they dislike x so if they dislike x, x must be problematic. And then they take one situation and twist it in a way that validates them disliking the character instead of just saying they find x annoying. And I understand that not everyone's going to like the same characters that I do, but this behaviour I mentioned is the one I find annoying, when they're talking about an episode and describing something that didn't happen just bc they dislike the character. Yk?  

(And I do think we should be critical of the media we consume and also I think literally every greys character is problematic bc everybody in the real world is and then they have to act more insane than real life people for plot reasons, but a lot of those posts aren't actually people being critical it's just people  using words they learned on the internet but don't know the meaning of, instead of being a hater in a cool way)

For those little love songs, Albedo loves the song Only One (by Anh Duy) I refuse to be wrong- it's such a soft and sweet love struck song, definitely a song he'd like! And Xiao and Scaramouche vibing to Conqueror by Sendra (using IA English, I have her 😩) because "I got no breaks and I fuck all my doubts" (amazing line aHHH)

The one MASA song I can see Albedo liking is Star Lily Dance Performance cuz it's the less brutal one. More sad over anything else, especially when you realize what the meaning behind the song is (basically, Mai is on a dream where her and Akari end up together instead of dead, so it isn't gory and scary, but sad- and really pretty)
