How could Vi understand it when her whole life was built on fighting?

Vi only knows how to fight. Since she was a kid, she fights to protect her sister and family, then she fights in prison to survive, and when she gets out of prison, she fights again to find her sister. So after everything Vi has been through, it's natural for her to find fighting as the only way to vent her anger and sadness.

Vi is one of the most tragic characters in the show. It is right that there are other characters who have gone through and will go through bad experiences, but Vi is the most suffering and miserable of them in the show.

I really hope her story ends well, because she deserves it.

Danny and Wes find themselves in the DC world after a portal incident. No they aren’t speaking about it, why would they need to? The issue is that they’re younger than they should be and it’s a lot harder to do things to try and get back home when people try to get them to go with them or go to the police or whatever. 

It’s not like they’re actually five year olds- they were almost graduating! One more week of school! ONE! So maybe they’re salty about it and maybe they both have latched onto each other as the literal only familiar thing in this situation. They don’t have co-dependence, really! 

But still, they have things to do! So if people could stop trying to stop them in concern that would be great! Aren’t big cities supposed to be horrible or something?!

There's a pattern in bsd of two climaxes: the first, which is resolved by either Chuuya or Kunikida and Dazai, and the second, which is (i) more thematically comprehensive and (ii) resolved by Akutagawa and Atsushi. For examples, see: 55 Minutes, the Guild arc, Dead Apple, and the Cannibalism arc.

The most recent chapter and the anime s5 finale both indicate this arc's climax is following that same pattern, so I'm bewildered by the seeming presumption that Dazai is going to have to "fix" what's happened or that Atsushi is a placeholder until Dazai can reach them from France.

Marcille doing necromancy was very sexy of her I agree but it's an experience watching anime-onlys fully go with her "Magic has no inherent morality it's just about how you use it" argument. Because they'll do some genuinely really cool analysis on like... conflating disgust with morality, or the way power structures will dictate what's acceptable purely to maintain their own power, and with every form of magic being so capable of harm why is ONLY black magic forbidden, huh? And I just have to sit here biting my nails like–
