3. Least favorite canon thing about this character?

For Mista, the Trish cleavage scene. You know the one. I don't think I have to explain this much. Boy Why Did You Do That. The only good thing to come out of that scene was jaunty jigglesacks + overeager horndog insane psychic damage combo of lines in the dub.

I could take this a lot of ways for Fugo tbh. Because there's a lot of things that drive me insane about him as a person, but looking at him as a character, I LOVE that he's rash and hurts his friends and his defining character moment is him making a selfish, cowardly decision. I guess I'd say his misogyny in Purple Haze Feedback? I'm admittedly a believer that, yes, he would fucking say that, but it sucks that he would. At least he gets better by the end lol. 7. What's something the fandom does when it comes to this character that you like?

I love that Mista has been designated Beautiful Brown-Eyed Bisexual Man by literally the entire fandom. Bi Mista brings us all together. And I do like the idea that his queerness is something he discovered much more slowly, and as a direct result of the gang. Something about that really ties in with the idea of the Bucci Gang as less of a realistic gang, more akin to a drag house or similar queer pseudo-family. Credit to that concept to Fox figcookie01 btw this is one of my favorite Vento Aureo analyses ever and it really informs how I conceptualize the Bucci Gang. Anyhow.

I also really like when people actually take care to explore his character and make him a very distinct, smarter-than-he-looks, older brother-type figure. It's really interesting when people explore his spirituality, too, whatever religion that may be, because that's a pretty important part of him. AND also OCD Mista truthers who know when to treat his superstitions and compulsions with some weight I love you forever. I think he's a character that gets watered down in fanworks a lot, but when his characterization's good, it's really good. There's plenty of artists and writers that have really blown me away with their Mista (and I say this as someone who's picky about characterization lol)

With Fugo, first of all. The PHF scars. Another thing that Mandela Effected the PHF fandom, but it's so so important to me. I love you physical, tangible, blatantly visible proof that Fugo has grown as a person since the day he abandoned the gang. Awesome. I also like that people mix and match his manga/anime colors, and every artist kinda draws him in a different way.

My favorite thing is probably the Fugo-Abbacchio stepkid and stepparent/siblings/Big Goth and Baby Emo Who Secretly Looks Up To Them dynamic. It’s awesome when it’s cartoonishly antagonistic and it’s awesome when it’s actually very sweet and heartfelt. Out of all the Bucci Gang dynamic interpretations the fandom’s produced, theirs is one of my favorites <3

12. What's a headcanon you have for this character?

SO MANY FOR BOTH OF THEM LOL. But I’ll try to list some I don’t talk about as much.

Besides The Carpenters, Mista’s a big fan of folk, acoustic singer-songwriter pop, and soft classic R&B/gospel. Artists with really strong voices tend to catch his attention. The Mamas and the Papas, Sam Cooke, Marvin Gaye, Simon and Garfunkel, The Seekers, and Gordon Lightfoot are some of his favorites. He’s also just a big sucker for love songs in general, and the hopeless romantic in him loves old girl groups like The Ronettes and The Shirelles. He’s also very much Schrödinger’s Guy to me. Cis? Trans? Who knows. Depends on what the situation calls for (though more often trans to me as of late). He’s just Some Dude.

Fugo’s a surprisingly good singer, but he’ll rarely do it if he knows other people are listening. A lot of times, he’ll sing in the shower, or when he’s alone in the car. As he gets older, he gets less self-conscious about it, and he’ll sing around the house when he’s with Giorno, or do duets with Mista for fun. There are also very much timelines in the Vento Aureo Multiverse in my brain where Fugo’s transfem. This also tends to coincide with transfem Abbacchio timelines, so there’s another layer added to Fugo looking up to Abbacchio, and I think Giorno (always transmasc to me) is really instrumental in helping her work through things and take pride in her transness. Maybe a little bit of a self-indulgent fluffy comfort hc that helps me work though my own genderisms lol

so first we have angel wearing a gorgeous off the shoulder black gown with gold accents.. i also imagined a black and gold feathered mask but i couldnt find any that suited what i was looking for.

next up we have baaabe.. another stunning off the shoulder gown but entirely in red with a sheer black train, i also imagine asher would have a matching red and black suit since hes their favorite accessory :D

here we have everyones favorite stealth Department Investigator, Sweetheart!! serving those blessed enough to see them in person the “undercover investigator at a ball” realness. i feel like the slit with the simple yet eloquently detailed dress is just as the french would say “tre magnifique” .. and you just know milo turned it out just as well in an all black suit detailed with pearls and perfectly picked jewelry

now one of my personal favorites and my second closest kins amongst the listener, DARLIN’ / tank / hardest bitch on the block.. wtv u wanna call her.

now see i wanted to go a different route because i feel like tank as much as she wouldnt mind wearing a custom made gown and have her hair and makeup done by professionals with the rest of the girls, i feel like she’d definitely serve in something like this still custom made and her make up still done but she did it herself bc she knows what fits her face best. shes giving a little bit of androgyny while still siding in feminine and i adore it. only thing missing would be like a small crown or headpiece of some sort that obviously matched what sam wouldve been wearing but not something to crazy or out there that it distracts from the entire outfit itself.

with lovely unlike with the rest of the girls i had a harder time figuring out what someone partnered with both the host of summit and the prince of house of solaire would wear.. but i settled on this as i feel its elevated enough to where everyone wouldnt wanna take their eyes off of her but also elegant enough for the eyes to be staying on because she looks so good. this paired with the silver and black crown i imagined her getting from vincent is just perfect

now youre probably wondering who else could i have possibly added to this list of nothing but wonderful women and pure beauties amongst the redacted cinematic universe.. the answer is . . . alexis :D

now coming from the house of solaire obviously alexis had to show up dressed down to the 9s, especially when darlin’ and lovely will be in attendance .. the nonexistent “whos the fairest of them all” competition happening in alexis’ head would only lead her to wear this gorgeous, obviously designer, all black floor length gown of which is more than likely one of a kind and a very special piece to her. when i imagine alexis, well i dont really have to imagine when i heard her voice during the imperium i kind of already knew what kind of fashion sense she would go for. and thats why she was honestly the easiest to pick for this.

Headcanons

Reader/MC/Yuu are taught/trained by the NRC staff because they would be the next leader of NRC (Crowley decided this randomly)

Crowley would be the one who would teach Reader/MC/Yuu about slaughtering or killing and about connections that needed to tied and ones that needed to be cut

Crewel would teach them about dangerous chemicals and improving their immunity towards any kind of poison

Trein would be the one teaching them about history or background checks, also about tactics and usage of underhanded influence over a person, event, or situation to gain a desired outcome (manipulation)

Vargas would be the one who will train them on combat and self-defense (maybe also body building)

Sam would be the one who'll teach them about market strategies and economic system on this seedy, corrupt, world

there would be other students or recruiting members who are trained like Reader/MC/Yuu but, Reader/MC/Yuu's training would be more harsher and tougher than the other students since they are going to be future head of Crows/NRC based on this headcanon fic <credits to them btw>

basically the training of Reader/MC/Yuu had gone through were near-death experience and only them that can survive it

even if NRC staff train Reader/MC/Yuu to the bone, they still treasure them the most and kind of grew a little soft spot for them

the other members/recruiting members of NRC are either from a disbanded group, left a group, or are on the run.

Reader/MC/Yuu is the only homeless person they accepted

only a few passes survives the starting tests

hence, if you fail only just one test, it'll be the end of you (they would kill the student on the spot if they fail)

after the test, passing students would have a hard on training on their first day and that would be a routine for the rest of their lives.

NRC would get a lot of spies from other organizations or RSA themselves, But, NRC is a strong and a smart opponent for they always caught or sort out who's the spies and not

The spies that were caught were used on the recruiting members to practice killing (some are comrades before but they should be able to forget lingering feelings to be able to pass the test and work for the Crows, for who knows what might happen to them If they fail or try to escape)

most of the caught spies were used in Reader/MC/Yuu's test because Crowley had waayy too much fun teaching them

Reader/MC/Yuu isn't really fond of the training method/routine and stopped doing it by the time they left the building to work on the bar Crowley owned

You pet Grim's head while he lays on your lap, yawning and making biscuits out of your leather pants

the other 3 hums softly as they drink their tea elegantly, while the other one chugs on one of the biggest beer bottle you could ever seen in your whole entire life.

after the big last gulp he finished his drink, he thumped the bottle on the ground and let out a satisfied "Aah..." before burping.

"how ill-mannered...!" Crewel clicked his tounge, he clenched his tea cup's handle to point of breaking

"Eh, stop being so pissy about this Crewel, but hey change of topic it seems that you're back here kid, how're ya?" He asked still topsy-turvy and burping from the alcohol he drank

"i am fine Mr. Vargas, thank you for asking." You answered bowing your head a little

"eh? not returning the question to me huh? you're being way too cocky--!!" his mutter turned into a shout as he threw a pocket knife at you

you swiftly move your head to avoid it as it hitted the antique wooden wall behind you but if it weren't you, any person would be a dartboard for his knife and it would be a perfect a hit on the middle of their forehead

he laughed as the other 3 stared in stun at the knife deeply impaled on the wall.

"Vargas..!!" Crewel, who was sitting next to you, stood up and made the teacups and teapot clatter on the long coffee table, his voice were filled with anger as he glared at the large laid back guy who was about to open another bottle of beer to drink.

"calm down Crewel, the little one is fine. and it's not like you haven't seen something more barbaric than this kind of behavior." The older man out of the four stated, continuing drinking his cup of tea as his own cat purrs on his lap

"I'm not only worried about the pup, Trein, i am also worried about him cutting my new fur coat, i had to made an ordeal with a unrefined person to get it and I'm not going back there to get another one." he ventured with his death glare at the older man of the room

the younger mysterious guy from the side of the opposite couch you sat grinned to himself as he finds the scene quite amusing.

everyone might think you're crazy for sitting idly next to these dangerous men

after all they are all known for their killings and other terrifying misdeeds

they are quite the power if you combine all of their knowledge to create a person

what a frightening thing that would be

you clink your teacup back to its saucer, your look was directed to Crewel's fur coat as he grumbles spites to himself

"that's a very beautiful fur coat Mr. Crewel." Your eyes sparkles from the reflection of the whitest fur coat your eyes ever lied on

"hm, thank you pup, it was a long trip trying to get this kind of fur from across the country, not to mention the person i had to make deals with is a crummy scumbag..." He seemed irate again mentioning the person he had to visit to get the exclusive beautiful fur coat

he noticed you tense, he guess that you probably regret bringing it up while he is still fuming with anger.

"hey, dont worry about it pup, that mutt is the one im angry at, not you." he closed his eyes, sipping his tea and putting it down as he intertwined his fingers on his lap

"Ahaha, if i were you Crewel dear, I would just order one from me, after all i got friends from the other side who's kind enough to give you a fur coat with more good quality than that."

the mysterious younger man stated as he beamed a pleasant yet unnerving smile at Crewel who looked back at him with a disgruntled face

"no, i would rather get my hands murked by a dirty dog than make connection and deals with you, Sam..." he responded with a venom on his tone as the other one chuckled with the answer

you continue to play with Grim's paws while listening to their conversation

you didn't even notice the menacing silence filled the room as you play with your cat

nor even notice Sam sneaking up behind you.

"so, it seems that the little imp finally got a cat huh? i kind of betted with Crewel to Trein that you'll get a dog to bark at those grubby costumers of yours~" he snickered behind you, putting a hand on his chin

this kind of act used to make you jump before but not anymore since you get used to it alot on your stay here.

the first time you met Sam is when the day Crowley took you in, Crowley requested some proper clothes for you to wear since living in that dumpster had made your clothes are very ominous to look or smell at

although, Crowley seemed so hurt seeing a cheap bill of buying simple clothes.

there's something really unsettling about him and his... friends from the other side.

"Grim is better than any dog one could ever find, perhaps he is way more harsher than untamed hungry dogs" you snuggled up your face to his fur and feel Sam's smile behind your head

"Tch, well at least dogs dont shed that much fur to cover your set of clothing" Crewel mumbled eyeing the gray cat hair covering some parts your white shirt

you stare at your blazer and jacket on the old coat rack from the side of the entrance of the waiting room

you knew well that the room is warm enough to lull you to sleep but, Crewel's lectures about fashion isn't.

"I'm sorry...." You cowered down with an apologetic look (after all you just burned the paper slip away not even being interested in reading it)

those days were the days you regretted coming with Crowley and accepting his terms, and you would just rather die than continue on living like that.

but you learned so much from them it polished you be a tougher and sharper person than you are before.

well the mood seems lifted now and the air were no longer tense like it was when you arrived.

they continue their usual conversation without you as Grim hopped off your lap and plopped down infront of the fire place on a safe distance

you walked towards the door where the guards are hovering over

the guard on the left clicked the device equipping his ear and whispered something inaudible to your hearing

"You may enter." He opened the door with one hand and the other still crossed on his stomach

those masked golden eyes always disturbed and unnerved your gut for some reason, you want to claw it out of its socket.

"I received a contract letter this afternoon..." he pondered with a serious voice

"i know he is a good fella, but you need to block him out fast before he starts asking you innocent yet personal questions you would probably answer without single thought."

you shift at his claim

it might be true, you really didn't notice a hint of rotten gut from him.

well it's a given for someone to trust or take advantage of the likes of that guy considering his behavior

you're not sure about take advantage though, they might not see the tomorrow if they did.

yet it's not an excuse for you to be trusting so easily to a guy with a notorious rich family, you never knew what he or his family might pull

"i apologize headmaster, I would be more careful from now on." you bowed your head with and apology

"that's good--"

"oh please..."

suddenly a deep voice interrupted him

his fur coat shimmers with light of a lit candelabra on top of aged cabinet beside the entrance

leaning on the frame of doorway, Crewel had his eyebrows furrowed at Crowley

"as if you were not struggling to make up your mind to sell your puppy to that fluffball with the amount of money he offered you in that contract"

his tone sounded so strict and harsh you thought it would also hit you too

'this money grubbing bird bastard...!!'

"a-ahh, Crewel!! listening to a private conversation isn't a proper etiquette coming from you!! where are the guards? i thought they were supposed to be doing their jobs, a-and how did you even read the paperwork anyway?" Crowley turned his head in your direction, stuttered as he put up his hands in defense

"i made them take a break and let me in, after all half of their pay are coming from me" he sticks out his thumb and point it at him

"and in fact i was the one who checks your paperworks before it would be deliver to you" Crewel's voice sounded really irate at the moment.

you raised your head and glared at Crowley with a stink eye that made him shiver, Crewel's heels strudded towards you as he puts both of his hands on your shoulder, he whispered

"i can bet this new fur coat that he hesitated about burning that paper"

"is rereading it counted as a hesitation?"

"ha, i knew it."

you smirked in agreement with the older man as the bird shifts his gaze at the fireplace, he can hear very well what Crewel is whispering about

god he looks so goofy when he was in the wrong

well he made a right decision burning it, it would be his lose if he tried to give you away for money

"well, if you have nothing to say anymore.... OUT! GET OUT OF THE OFFICE NOW!! OUT!! OUT!!"

Crowley yelled at the both of you as he pointed the entrance with his finger

you cover your ears with your hands.

"OKAY, OKAY, SHUT IT YOU NOISY MUTT!! geez... i wonder if he's more of a parrot than a crow"

Crewel gripped your shoulders and lifted you outside with him.

he stepped outside and put you down as he closes the office door with his other hand

you can hear the other men of the waiting room chuckling to themselves of the sight they had watched with the open door

"i never knew he would consider trying to sell me one day" you crossed your arm, smiling at the sight of Grim trying to play with Lucius

"you know Crowley, as long there is a sponsor who is willing to give him money, he wouldn't even think twice about it" Crewel shakes his head with his dominant hand, putting his disheveled hair back to its place.

"if he actually does, I would make sure to ruin his life and make him regret doing it" you spew your poisoned words and smirked at the thought of being the one to make him fall someday into your hands

"that's my pup" Crewel patted your head before putting it to his waist and posing proudly

"hah, that's what i taught them!!"

"no, i did"

"hohoho want to settle this on a bet?~"

they started bickering to themselves as you prodded towards Trein who looks quite reserved while sitting on the couch

"i might know who actually taught you about a tactic on how to ruin somebody's life"

he sighed with a smile plastered on his wrinkled face

"hm, that is true Mr. Trein, and i appreciate all the methods you taught me, but can i ask you a question?" you sat next to him focusing your gaze at your Grim about to get punched by Lucius.

"yes what is it child?"

"is there a nearby pet store where i can buy a cat carrier here?"

Trein's eye widened and he simply chuckled

"i think Sam has one but i don't think you would appreciate the thought of getting one from him, though, there is one pet store still open at this late hour, just two buildings from across the corner of the street, you could ask one of the guards from the backgate to guide you"

Trein hummed picking up the teapot to pour tea on his teacup.

"thank you Mr Trein."

you smiled gently as you stood up to pick Grim that is now hissing at the relaxed Lucius.

"leaving so soon?" Sam noticed you picking up your blazer and jacket from the coat rack

"dont you want to stay in to sleep in your old room? you know just to feel nostalgia?" he grinned evily

you groan with dissatisfaction at the thought of sleeping in that prison cell with a proper ventilation again

even though the room felt like a normal bedroom with a convenient bathroom it still felt like a prison for how they would lock everyone up at night.

"Nah, im good Sam, and i have another business to take care off so... yeah, see you all later" you waved your hand and showed off your usual smile as you carry the jacket-wrapped Grim with your other arm

you coo at angry Grim as you walk your way out

you felt like royalty as everyone groveled and stare at you with astonished expression you didn't receive when you first layed your foot on this concrete ground

well it's way more better since it's not a dirty flirty gaze with disgusting intentions on putting you on their bed that some of your costumers give you at that flithy bar.

well it's time to go back to the another hellhole of yours, but, first let's get Grim a carrier, its getting kinda tiring trying to carry his heavy body with your arms.

“Are you crying?” Daniel asked, as he watched Johnny surreptitiously wipe his eyes when the credits started to roll.

“No,” Johnny said, turning away.

“It's OK if you are,” Daniel said, putting a hand on his back.

When Johnny moved in, their first night together, Daniel had suggested watching movie and pulled his DVD of Iron Man off the shelf.

“You ever seen this?” Daniel asked.

“Nah, is it good?”

“It's awesome, yeah,” Daniel said, as he opened the cover.

“As good as Iron Eagle?” Johnny asked, raising an eyebrow.

“You'll have to judge that for yourself,” Daniel replied as he put the disc into the player.

Johnny enjoyed the film, and was shocked when he heard that there was an entire series of 22 films, so it became their thing. Every Friday and Saturday night they'd have a six pack and watch a Marvel film, curled around each other on the couch.

“Johnny, are you OK?” Daniel asked.

“Wow, you really liked him, huh?” Daniel said.

“He was my favourite, yeah,” Johnny said, sniffing. “He was better than that prick, Rogers. I thought he was the one who was gonna die.”

“Hey, now,” Daniel said, smiling as he held up a hand. “Captain America is my favourite, so don't go dissing him.”

“He would be your favourite, yeah,” Johnny said, rolling his eyes. “That asshole lied to Tony about how his parents were killed, he split up the Avengers, so it was his fault they lost, and everyone got snapped by Thanos. And he kissed Sharon Carter then went off to live with her Aunt Peggy in the past even though he knew she had a husband, and he didn't even tell Sam he was going to do it. The guy's a dick!”

“Wow,” Daniel laughed. “I had no idea you were such a nerd.”

Johnny visibly tensed at Daniel's side, blinking at him for a second then he looked away. He'd told Daniel so many times that he hated Kreese, that he wanted to wipe out every single thing he'd ever done, every mark he'd made on his life, yet he still kept coming back to his most basic of lessons.

“Johnny,” Daniel said softly. “It's OK to be a nerd. It's not a bad thing.”

Johnny let out a non-committal sound next to him, his back still stiff as a rod.

“I'm a nerd too, and you think I'm badass, right?” Daniel asked.

“Yeah, you're OK,” Johnny sighed. “You're definitely a bigger nerd than me though.”

“What makes you say that?”

“You had 22 Marvel films on DVD for a start,” Johnny said with a chuckle. “That's like king of the nerds, right there.”

As Johnny started to relax, Daniel pulled out his phone, and brought up a website. “Pick one.”

“What?” Johnny asked.

“Pick an Iron Man T Shirt,” Daniel said. “I want to buy one for you.”

Johnny looked down the page, and said, “I like that one.”

“Yeah, it's cool. Looks like a band T shirt,” Daniel said, as he jabbed at his phone screen. “And now it's yours.”

“Hey, look at that,” Johnny said, pointing at the phone. “They do Iron Man helmets on here that you can actually wear.”

“You want one?” Daniel asked.

“Don't you think it's a bit much?” Johnny asked, raising an eyebrow.

“Nah,” Daniel replied, as he added it the basket. “You'll look awesome wearing it stood next to me when I'm holding the Captain America Shield I'm about to buy myself.”

A bit about the AU:

Honestly, I don't have any clear cut thoughts on this, just many ideas that even contradict each other in parts... Which is why I probably won't write an actual fic for this, but if someone else feels inspired by my idea, feel free to adopt it for yourself!

More angsty S1 YasMoon because they're so!!! THEY'RE SO!!! They're so important to me, you don't understand. I've made them both such rich inner worlds that only exist in my mind but by GOD if I'm not Unwell about the complex, nuanced, and BRUTALLY flawed versions of them that live in my head rent-free ;_____;

Like I am gripped by how many things it re-contextualizes if Yas and Moon were hooking up in Season 1. Like that's why Moon so doggedly remained Yasmine's faithful, right-hand Evil Bitch, despite being a very good-natured person normally. That's why these girls were almost grinding in that one concert video Sam showed Amanda. And that's why their beach party confrontation had enough tension to fill an olympic-sized swimming pool. It was a damn breakup akajndslfkjl

Anyways, I'm hoping I can write some full-length one-shots that delve into this more, but I'm just imagining that during S1 and before, Moon was just...an absolutely hopeless pining mess. Like she did everything for Yasmine and went along with whatever she said in hopes that Yas would eventually love her the same...or at least love her openly. She knew Yas could be sweet and giving in private, but she wanted more than anything to be shown off and flaunted like something to be proud of (part of why she eventually ditched Yas for Hawk! Although he went way too far in the other direction to the point of like. Treating her more like a coolness prize than a person ^^;). Yasmine only ever treated her softly and gently when no one else was looking, and it killed Moon. She hated always feeling like a side piece and an afterthought, and still only ever getting dismissively called "a friend." Or sometimes just a lackey, even if Yasmine wouldn't say it directly. I think finally standing up to Yasmine was just as much about wanting better for herself as well as all the people Yasmine bullied.

Like the way she seems guilty about cutting Sam off and horrified to see Kyler mocking her in front of the entire cafeteria implies she's not really comfortable with all the awful stuff Yas does. And like sure, she could stick with Yasmine out of platonic loyalty or to have a popularity safety net, BUT. Being a Yasmine simp would explain just how much she's willing to tolerate before she kicks Yas to the curb XD And hey, she's canonically got a thing for mean, aggressive people, does she not???

Anyways tl;dr poor Season 1 Moon </3 Girl was in love with Yasmine and I WILL die on that hill. Would explain why she was super high and out of it for a lot of S1, too. Girl was coping (er...not healthily) with her gf a) not admitting she was her gf and b) not cherishing her like she secretly wanted </3 Yasmine fr pushes her lesbianism so far down it may as well collide with the earth's core at this point.

In my heart she accepts it and owns it at some point in the distant future, bless iashluybkh

Headcanon Yas gifted it to Moon during S1, but was like "if you ever wear this, you CANNOT tell people I gave it to you lest they think we're... g a y" ;______; Like that's not even the first conclusion people would probably come to anyways, but poor Yas is so paranoid about people suspecting she isn't straight that she feels like she has to shut down anything that could possibly point to that D: Also dying on my hill that she has a more difficult relationship with her parents than she lets on and they're either subtly or openly homophobic, which is why she represses her sexuality so adamantly

Dean deserved to know how smart he was. I don't think any one really spelled it out for him before he died just how smart he was, and that breaks my heart because:

Dean Winchester was hella smart!

People always thought Sam was the smart one, which was true in a sense, but not in a way that made him any smarter than Dean. And I hated it whenever a storyline/character (Including Sam and Cas) implied that Dean was stupid. It wasn't even a book smarts vs street smarts thing between the brothers, because he had book smarts too. He sometimes lacked in common sense and his emotional intelligence left much to be desired, but other than that? Dean was intelligent as hell.

Books

Dean read a lot. Like a lot. He didn't always talk about it unless the plot called for it, but Dean read a lot of books. Complicated, thought provoking books. When it came to research, he was less than willing sometimes, but that doesn't mean he couldn't. No one wants to do something they enjoy doing if someone/something else is making them do it.

Dean read stuff like Vonnegut. He read Tolstoy ( War and Peace is 1,225 pgs btw and is not a simple read. I've read it. It's rough) He read the Odyssey (12,110 verses). Bukowski! None of these works are something that can be comprehended by the simple mind. (Vonnegut comes closest being a junior high reading level but considering he was never consistently in school... and just because jr high students can read it doesn't mean they should)

Ingenuity

Dean NEVER got enough credit for how ingenious truly was.

My man built an EMF meter out of an old walkman

He made a sawed off in jr high

He used an electromagnet to wipe out the Ghost Facers footage of them

He used rusty nails, paper clips, a car antenna and other random close by objects to get out of handcuffs.

He survived an entire year in monster hell not only surviving, but getting to the point where he was chasing them through their own domain. That takes serious survival skills.

His entire profession is built on quick thinking and clever planning to survive. He went on plenty of hunts by himself and came out the otherside still breathing.

He rebuilt a whole ass car, a couple of times, from literal scraps.

He was damn good at coming up with alternate weaopns on the fly.

He got a majority of his income from hustling pool and poker ( which takes a clever mind) and credit card fraud.

He magnaged to create several false identities and evaded the litteral FBI way longer than he should have been able to

Someone who is stupid couldn't mangae to do half of the stuff Dean could manage easily

His education

Dean has a GED. While that's not a difficult thing to achieve it's still not something you can do willy nilly. It costs money and is like an 8 hour test. That means he had to study. Money was a precious resource to the Winchester's, especially in the early years. They needed money for food, shelter, gas and other supplies and it wasn't always easy to come by. I can guarantee Dean wouldn't have wasted money on getting his GED if he wasn't confident he pass it.

Sam's smart. Sure. That's what he's known for. But who do you think helped him get that way? John definitely wasn't sitting at various kitchenette tables and helping Sam with his homework. John most likely wasn't the one teaching Sam how to read and write. How to do simple math. John was too busy going on his crusade for vengeance to worry about his children's education. It's evident that John didn't veiw higher education as a necessity for his boys and actually blew up at Sam for trying to pursue one. So yeah, Sam is smart and he deserves credit for making his own education a priority, but it was most likely Dean who gave him the stepping stones to do so, and if you think Dean didn't retain any of that knowledge when he was helping Sam, sorry but you're wrong.

What he lacks in a school education he makes up for it with hunting knowledge and lore. He knows A LOT off the top of his head about monsters and lore. He became a better hunter than John could ever hope to be because he was well studied in it.

His endless encyclopedia of what I like to call HF³ ( Hyper-fixation fun facts)

Dean is a giant nerd. He may not know a lot of, what most would consider, "important" facts, but when it comes to things that interest him, the man is a fountain of knowledge.

Cowboys. He knows them by face and name. He knows their history, backstory, what kind of weapons they used and how they died. Name a famous cowboy, Dean knows.

Cars. Dean knows makes, models, years, how to take them apart and how to put them back together.

Guns. Same as cars

Scooby-Doo and other TV shows. He knows characters, episodes by first glance and can give you the plotlines and BTS information.

Movies. How the man found time to watch all the movies he quote/mentions in the show's run, I'll never know, but he has watched everything from action, to horror, to Disney and can give you the same info he can for TV shows he likes.

Music. Dean LOVES music. He has extensive knowledge of classic rock. He knows band members by name, albums by year, background information about the albums and artists and knows every Zeppelin song by heart.

The most important fact about his nerd knowledge? He didn't grow up in the age of information. He didn't grow up in a time when he could just google questions he wanted the answer to. That means he had to read magazines, articles, books, watch documentaries listen/ watch interviews.....He had to research everything he knew the good old fashioned way. That takes effort, dedication, and intelligence.

Stupid people can't lie and Dean is a damn good Liar.

Okay, stupid people can lie, but they can't lie well. Lies, especially long/big ones take a lot of brain power. Because lying requires manipulation.

You have to be able to know people and how their minds work in order to get them to believe you. That requires a basic knowledge of human psychology.

Big lies require creativity. You have to be able to create a back story, counter arguments, what if scenarios and explanations for inconsistencies if you are to be believed.

Long lies rquire an extensive memory. You have to be able to remember which lies you told to who, everything about that lie and be able to spinnkle in facets of the truth to keep it believable.

While being a good liar isn't his most attractive/positive character trait Dean possess, it's not something that a stupid person could accomplish as well as he can.

Dean is incredibly witty.

He's goofy and funny at times, which is often written off as being dopey, but it's not.

He is known for his quick one liners. Not so much the "Get hit by a bus" "...You're a...bus" type ones but more so the "Is anything about you real" "My boobs" type ones.

His form of comedy comes from a place of knowledge. Is he goofy and immature at times? Yes. But that doesn't make him stupid.

TL/DR:

Just because he was goofy and didn't have the education Sam did, doesn't mean he was stupid. He was incredibly intelligent and I wish he would've known that before he died.

MY CA:CW OPINIONS :

First time when I watched it, I thought that Steve and Team Cap was absolutely right and everyone else was just wrong.

But during a rewatch, I realised that Team Iron Man actually had some good points on this.

1) Consider this :

4/6 members of Team Iron Man give an actual and valid opinion

Only Steve from Team Cap gave his opinion

If you wanted me to agree with Team Cap, you should've made more people give their opinions.

This made me lean towards Team Iron Man more. I actually imagined myself in that situation and I would be neutral towards Accords but on Team Iron Man. Also, I am pretty sure that if a grave situation would be present, Avengers can find loopholes and get the job done.

2) I dont understand why people say Tony signed them only out of guilt.

Like Tony has a company and thousands of people relying on it and rationally, he just cannot say no or become an outlaw like the others, it would make a negative impact on his company so I think this also impacted his decision (many Team Iron Man fics mention or imply this point, all credits to them)

I really hate that Russos made Tony look like he was doing this for Pepper to get back with her. They could've just mentioned this point & it would make more sense as it would show Tony becoming more concerned about his actions affecting the company.

But Tony's no saint either :

I didnt like that he brought in Peter without telling his aunt and that intro scene just made him look like a bully.

Honestly same! Steve Rogers is one of my least favorite characters, but on the first watch I was entirely on his side. Mostly because people were saying that the Accords were the MCU's version of the mutant registration act, which just isn't true?? At least, not in CA:CW. Maybe if they had taken the time to expand upon what the Accords actually are in that movie, I would have continued to agree with Steve's side.

You make such a valid point OP. One of the things that definitely stands out to me is that off the top of my head (without seeing the movie since the year it came out) is that both Natasha and Rhodey offer up an opinion on the Accords. I think Vision does too, but my memory is shaky. On Steve's side, all I can remember is Wanda being upset and Sam acting suspiciously out of character. (Let's be honest, as a vet, Sam should have totally been on Rhodey's side. The way they have him follow Steve blindly in this film was really weird.)

I also agree that Tony was looking at the equation as someone who had everything to lose while Steve was approaching it with nothing to lose. Tony is the head of a multibillion-dollar company, he's a public figure. He has a job beyond being Iron Man, a job that also saves people. He can't continue any of the things he does if he becomes a vigilante. On the other hand, Steve can afford to go on the run because all he has to lose is a couple of friends (which he does lose half of them by the end of the film).

I honestly do not remember whether or not Tony's decision was framed as him wanting to get back with Pepper (fuck the Russos' for breaking them up btw), but that does sound like something they would do.

I wouldn't feel too bad about the Peter thing. I chalk it down to several things, mainly that the writing in CA:CW is so bad. It's inconsistent for Tony to drag Peter to another country for a fight with dangerous superheroes and then in Peter's own movie, tell him that bank robberies are too dangerous. Tony's out of character in CA:CW in that aspect and completely in character in Homecoming. The Russos just needed a reason to bring Spider-Man so they could get more views/set up the next phase of the MCU.

Civil War is just so badly written.

My inclination btw is that Ellen is supposed to be a Cas mirror and Bobby a Dean one, but really it could go either way.

it’s because Dean and Cas don’t have that kind of relationship in this universe.  He is Dean’s boyfriend, not the angel they work with for whomst he is perpetually pining.

The Famous Final Scene

INTERIOR: Becky Rosen’s office. She’s only been back a few hours, and had spent the evening hours loving on her children, kissing her husband goodnight, and then retiring to her office to make sure she’s not had her entire business ruined after spending the better part of a year trapped in limbo.

She’s been reading something on her computer with a growing sense of horror. It’s Chuck’s entire final draft, all ready to post, typed directly into an AO3 draft.

Amateur, she thinks.

It’s everything she feared Chuck’s Worst Possible Ending could be, and more. Hopeless, tragic, pointless. She wonders for a moment if she should save it for posterity, since Chuck had no power to actually make this horror show real. She knew in her heart that Sam belonged with Eileen, and that Dean belonged with Cas.

Becky hesitates for just a moment, and then shakes her head in disgust and hits delete. That was definitely something that was too horrific to see the light of day.

She texts Dean to thank them again for defeating Chuck. Dean texts her back, "It was our pleasure, again, Becky. BTW Cas says hello." She smiles and shuts her computer off.

They removed the part that he fell in love with Dean for one but worse is “related to free will”? He’s canonically the embodiment of free will. He’s canonically the only character that went against Chuck’s narrative, repeatedly. I for one think 19 & 20 were so bad and ooc because Cas wasn’t there. The free will part of the entire show wasn’t there so it reverted to the narrative in place before Cas “ripped up the pages” ie. season 4.

One sentence about his sacrifice. One. “His love and admiration”? Misha’s proudest moment of his entire character’s arc dwindled down to one sentence. One sentence about his resurrection. More than 2 words I guess.

Worst of all...

His only credited nicknames are from only Meg and Crowley... like... ugh

Y/n was as tense as a plank while the end credits popped up onto the screen, eerie music spilling from the TV speakers. Fear was something she felt effortlessly, an unfortunate side effect to a rampant and vividly active imagination that was already getting far too carried away during the movie.

A yawn stretched effortlessly from Embry’s mouth, his arm still lying over the top of the couch like a floppy overheated noodle. The noise startled Y/n, causing her head to whip to the right, her expression full of an odd mixture of fear, anxiety and confusion.  “What?” Embry asked, oblivious, - with his infamous quirked brow. He was completely relaxed, lounging on the couch with his long legs stretched out across the coffee table.

“W-were you bored?!” Y/n almost screeched, her throat scratching as she climbed through three octaves.

“Kinda,” Embry admitted sheepishly, “That movie was so predictable.” He grinned sleepily down at Y/n, who’s doe-like eyes scanned his face with utter disbelief. The teenage shapeshifter laughed softly before leaning forward, planting the sweetest kiss to her nose. “You scared? You look scared.” He hadn’t intended for it to come out as teasingly as it had. Behind his exhaustion was a tiny fragment of guilt welling up in his chest.

“Am not!”

An even wider grin lit up his face at Y/n’s hasty indignant quip. “Are too!” He exclaimed teasingly. Y/n huffed in defeat, snuggling into his side for extra comfort and warmth.

A few moments of silence followed, where Embry held Y/n in a tender embrace, longing for time to stop moving so his patrol shift would never arrive. It was rare for him to have any free time so this movie night had been a miracle, allowing him to unwind mentally and stretch his tired and overworked muscles. But as all good things, the few hours of relaxation had ended much too soon. Embry was exhausted! Actually, exhausted was an understatement, he was completely worn-out. His muscles felt like overstretched taffy. How he was going to complete a whole night of patrol runs and then get up early enough for school tomorrow morning without collapsing to the ground and passing out cold, was a mystery to him. Eventually, Embry made a move for the TV remote, switching off the device begrudgingly and beginning to lift himself off of the overstuffed, lumpy couch that himself and Y/n had been situated upon.

Y/n’s fingers curled around his upper arm lightly and gave him a soft tug, a whimper of protest peeling from her lips. Her eyes were wide with fear, the horror movie still playing in the back of her mind. “Babe, I gotta go. Sam’s gonna kill me if I don’t show up for patrol.” Even as he spoke, there was that sleepy, dopey grin spread brightly across his face, pushing his prominent cheekbones even farther up against his crinkled eyes. 

“Can’t you just stay this once?” Y/n pleaded sweetly, her bottom lip jutting out into a kissable pout.

“That’s what you said last time and I ended up staying the whole night. C’mon! It was only a damn movie! No psycho killer is going to hurt you. It was all fake anyway,”Embry grumbled in response, his large bronze hand smoothing over his imprints thigh in a comforting way, but his heart wasn’t in it. He wanted to stay just as much as she wished he would.

“But this time will be different!”

“Y/n…”

“Please! At least stay until I fall asleep? I always feel safer with you there.”

Embry melted. “Fine! But no more horror movies after this. It’s almost like you pull this stunt on purpose every time,” Embry teased in defeat.

“Okay, deal!”

Hand in hand, the pair climbed the stairs and travelled down the hall to Y/n’s room. Embry was no stranger to spending the night at Y/n’s, each of their parents trusting the teenagers so long as Y/n’s door remained open. Once they made it to her room, Embry flopped onto the bed as Y/n peeled off her clothes and changed into a baggy black top Embry had given them and a pair of basketball shorts. With a soft nudge to Embry’s arm, the lanky wolf shuffled to the side to make room for his terrified imprint. Y/n climbed into bed, leaving the lamp beside their bed on. Naturally, like two magnets, the two gravitated towards one another, finally coming together in a soft embrace. With Y/n’s head laying on Embry’s chest, the soft thumping of his heart became a soothing soundtrack, loosening her muscles and combating the tension in her chest. 

Embry’s fingers lazily laced through Y/n’s hair, blunt nails tenderly scraping her scalp and pulling a content sigh from her slightly parted lips. He breathed in slowly through his nose, taking in the soothing scent of her lavender shampoo. 

“I love you.” he murmured into the strands, saturating them with his warm breath. 

“Love you, too.” He could hear their sleepy smile as they spoke, the tips of his fingers working their magic as they always did.

Soon, Y/n’s soft snores wandered through their room and Embry found it nearly impossible to keep his eyes from drooping shut. What will an hour hurt? He thought to himself, exhaustion finally pulling his eyelids down entirely.

An hour turned into eight. Sam was decidedly not overcome with joy when the following day Embry made a sheepish appearance after school with Y/n in tow, a sheepish smile on her face.
