Lesbians: We are not attracted to men.
This fucking hellsite: Okay but what about trans men and demiboys and non-binary people who are male-aligned and multigender/genderfluid people who are partly men are you not attracted to them too????? You're an exclusionist transphobic radfem bitch for not thinking trans/nb men are attractive!!!! And what about trans women, they're technically men so do you hate them too? You lesbians are all terfs who think that trans women are men, that's why you say you don't like them, don't you know that not liking men is a moral failing? Ignore the fact that I'm the one who brought up trans women when you talked about not liking men, which technically means that I'm the one treating trans women as men and also as a gotcha to win arguments, not you, but oh well, you're a lesbian, and lesbians are ALWAAAAYS the bad guys!!! I just...I just can't believe that you would say that you're not attracted to men! There are some good men out there you know? You're making the nice men very sad by not giving them a chance. Can't you at least try to like men, even partially, even a little? Pweaaaaaaase? 👶🏾
Lesbians:
Lesbians: Anyway, we are not attracted to men. Die mad about it.

#medical misogyny
Misdiagnosed & Mistreated - Misogyny & Androcentrism in Medicine
Although it is a well established scientific fact that the female body acts and reacts medically often very different than the male body, these differences get widely ignored. This widespread misogyny and androcentrism in medicine frequently gets women misdiagnosed and mistreated, which often proves deadly.
Studies found that females presenting with a heart attack were more likely to die when a male doctor treated them, compared with a female doctor.
Women are also 50% more likely to get their heart attack misdiagnosed - for their (typical to females) symptoms get seen as atypical and often dismissed; based upon only male symptoms getting seen as typical and indicative.
Female patients are also less likely to be prescribed preventative treatment after an initial attack.
Women are half as likely as men to receive pain killers after surgery.
When getting surgery, women have a 32% higher risk of dying - when operated on by a male surgeon.
They also have to wait longer to receive pain management medication in emergency rooms as well as often simply getting sedated instead of recieving pain management. No such effect is seen in male patients.
Female patients generally have to wait for significantly longer timespans to get a diagnosis. Per example, it takes typically 2.5 more years for a woman to be diagnosed with cancer and 4.5 more years for a diabetes diagnosis compared with men. In total, women were found to get diagnosed much later in more than 700 diseases compared to men.

If you're a white guy and you write a story in which two girls of color are pit against each other for the romantic pursuit of a white boy, then you owe every woc 1,000 bucks, and every qwoc 3,000 bucks.

By making the term "man" subsume "woman" and arrogate to itself the representation of all of humanity, men have built a conceptual error of vast proportion into all of their thought. By taking the half for the whole, they have not only missed the essence of whatever they are describing, but they have distorted it in such a fashion that they cannot see it correctly. As long as men believed the earth to be flat, they could not understand its reality, its function, and its actual relationship to other bodies in the universe. As long as men believe their experiences, their viewpoint, and their ideas represent all of human experience and all of human thought, they are not only unable to define correctly in the abstract, but they are unable to describe reality accurately.
The androcentric fallacy, which is built into all the mental constructs of Western civilization, cannot be rectified simply by "adding women." What it demands for rectification is a radical restructuring of thought and analysis which once and for all accepts the fact that humanity consists in equal parts of men and women and that the experiences, thoughts, and insights of both sexes must be represented in every generalization that is made about human beings.

#never forget they used knockout instead of a different name they they had on the trade marks for SEXINESS reason. unreal.#<- can u explain that to me. anyways
yeah 👍🏻 although seems ive walked into a classic blunder of remembering something from a "the basics" video which ofc is from the wiki which ofc, its weirdly sourced and from a tf creator/company rep who. they have habits of just saying shit. ANYWAY. this is actually from the notes section on breakdowns page
the fandom concluded that Breakdown was meant to be Lugnut at some point in the episode's production. The Hub's Mike Vogel challenged this notion at BotCon 2011, claiming that Lugnut had been Knock Out's original name, which had been changed because "Lugnut" wasn't "sexy" enough for the character. The Prime Season 1 Blu-ray commentary, however, corroborated the original theory: Breakdown's place in the show was originally intended to belong to Lugnut, since a loyal Decepticon bruiser was desired, but the show creators wanted a land-based Decepticon instead.
That knockout was purposely designed as sexy seems to be a thing fans say a lot, tho i don't have a specific source to pull for that either. not that its particular hard to believe. and the tacit tf understanding here also being that. as the companies have to content with copyright branding, they prefer to use names they have on the books, and if the characters arent that iconic or new. any name seems to do, alas long as it fits the vibe.
also bonus fun(?) fact! botcon '11 also notable for when the writers said one of the most overly correctional homophobic things ive ever heard. (from knockout's notes section)(it DOES link the relevant youtube panel recording. but i have the wrong kind of mental illness, and would dissolve if i had to watch it, so lets take their word for it)
When asked at BotCon 2011, the Prime writers said that there is no designation for gay, or straight, for that matter, on Cybertron, where Transformers are created by the AllSpark, not through sexual reproductions. They also said that Knock Out is a knock out, and that the Nemesis is a very "don't ask, don't tell" place. And then they jokingly deflected the matter, claiming that Knock Out's mannerisms are not caused by any particular orientation, but are simply eccentricities caused by "a glitch in the AllSpark" the day he was created...

“Just because she’s independent and single doesn’t mean she’s a lesbian, you’re being stereotypical” shut the fuck up shut the fuck up SHUT THE FUCK UP.
As if every single female character doesn’t already have to be attracted to men and center men in their attraction. And now the second we headcanon a female character who doesn’t have a romantic relationship with men as a lesbian suddenly we’re the bad guys?
Lesbians get no representation ever but oh I get it, female characters are allowed to be strong and independent and not need a guy to be fulfilled and all of that crap you spew in the name of feminism, so long as they’re still attracted to guys that is.
God forbid a female character is actually independent from and fully de-centers men by not being attracted to them at all. God forbid lesbians have an ACTUAL CHARACTER to see themselves in to remind us that we are not “incomplete” for not liking men. But y’all don’t care about that, I already know. It’s not forcing independent girls to be lesbians and it’s not “stereotyping” you guys just see lesbian as a dirty word, and you see us as perverted, gross, forceful, man-haters, or less than women because your identity is wrapped up in liking men and you center them at every turn, straight women will always complain about female characters being lesbians with “why can’t she just be independent” meanwhile y’all exclude us from conversations with your endless jabber about boyfriends and crushes, lol fucking jokes.
The truth is lesbians are the embodiment of what womanhood looks like without the centering of men and that threatens y’all somehow, so the second a female character is seen as a lesbian you come out with the pitchforks screaming “nuh-uh, she’s STRAIGHT!” It’s not the “independence” that is the problem, you’re just mad and offended by female characters not being available to men or depending on them to find love and be happy, that’s the real problem that you pretend is the opposite.
And don’t pretend that you treat canonical lesbians any better either, because when we do get them you erase their sexuality by calling them straight or bi and writing fics about them being shipped with male characters they have no chemistry with(because they’re lesbians), or making them aroace(because if they can’t be into men then you’ll make sure they’re not into women either), you don’t give a shit fuck about independent women and even less of one about lesbians, you just see a woman not being attracted to men as not fulfilling their proper role as women because you still define womanhood as revolving around men even when they are “independent” and thus you need to “punish” them somehow.
So, disrespectfully, fuck off, and don’t come after us lesbians with our headcanons about characters as lesbians with “but but but can’t she be strong and independent without being a lesbian?! Can’t she still be straight!!! I can respect her not getting with a man but I still need her to like guys please!!!” Because you WILL get embarrassed and you WILL get your feelings hurt.

Oh bro you've started making jokes about male characters being malewives and babygirl-coded and generally using female terms for them lightheartedly because you're trans? That's great bro, hell yeah gender fuckery!!But you're also being respectful of actual transfem egg headcanons and stanning canon female characters too, right? You're not just using womanhood and femininity as a punchline on men but then getting upset and trying to pull the 'gender roles' card when other trans people feel a connection to canon male characters in a transfeminine way that's just as valid as transmasculine ones and bashing the characters who were intentionally written as girls, right? You're not just reinventing transmisogyny and regular misogyny and especially not sneering at irl women for egg jokes and poking fun at men, right?Right Bro?

Being a lesbian under patriarchy is something else entirely y'all. You don't realize how deeply women are encouraged to center men, to please men, to revolve their worth and existence around men, until you come out as a lesbian yourself, and only because you realize that you'll never be any of those things, and how the patriarchy inherently devalues you because of it.
So to all you lesbians out there, whether you're in the closet, coming out, or are suffering from comphet and don't even realize you're lesbians yet, I see you, I love you, and you are not alone. Hang in there, darling, because we will make it through.
