okay so as much as it pains me to think about it i am writing out my theory about the deaths that will happen in the finale:
first off, getting this out of the way because i'll start crying if i think about it for too long, echo is going to die. they're setting up too many parallels between him and fives, plus with the writer for the finale having written the citadel arc, it's going to happen no doubt.
echo is going to die in the first half of the finale. not right at the beginning, but it'll be at one of the main crucial moments. it'll give us as the audience time to mourn his death before the episode is over, and it'll give the rest of the batch the fire they need to destroy tantiss. emerie's not going to betray him, they've set too much of a connection between her, omega, and the other kids, but i do think echo is going to die protecting everyone. he's going to reunite with omega first, and as they're escaping, that's when he's going to die. my little shriveled angsty heart thinks that it's going to be clone x who kills him, then we MIGHT get the reveal of who clone x is. if it's tech, he's going to trail after omega, if it's dogma, i think echo's death would snap him out of whatever brainwashing's been done, and it'll be just... so angsty.
now onto the one that could go two different ways:
the first is hunter and wrecker both dying together by either staying behind to blow up tantiss, or to hold off the troopers so omega and crosshair can escape with the kids and the other prisoners. either way, i think it's going to be a scene of crosshair having to physically pick up omega to pull her onto the shuttle where emerie and the kids are waiting, both of them in tears, omega screaming for hunter and wrecker as they just face forward to make sure their siblings escape.
OR they could go the other way, and have crosshair die. which would be upsetting, given that he's gotten some fantastic character development in this show.
if he is the one to die, i think it will be protecting his brothers and sister. maybe he'll stay behind to buy hunter and wrecker time to get everyone on the shuttle, or it'll be during a standoff with hemlock, something where he gets one final line in about his loyalty always being to his siblings, to his team.
i do fully believe it's going to be crosshair and omega left at the end of the show, just the two of them, BUT if cross does die, i hope they do it in a way (like i hope with echo) that honors his entire arc and his development.
either way on wednesday i am going to be in so much pain because no matter if i like it or not, echo's going to die, and i don't know how i'm going to cope with this

You know, considering how brain-dead a lot of Internet discourse is, I'm kinda surprised there hasn't been anything about dragons yet. Something like "If you identify as a dragon that's bad actually because dragons hoard resources just like the 1%. You're saying that's okay actually which means you're basically worse than them."

society if hoo had them at uni age and the lost trio went to chb and chiron is like "how tf are ANY of u alive and unclaimed". wilderness was just community college.
#on a serious note this changes a lot actually. annabeth and percy would not be in chb anymore so when percy goes missing#its like. a genuine possibility and fear because demigods don't make it that old. there is also some added time between tlo and tlh as well#further adding to jasons isolation as being even WEIRDER than everyone else. he also would've been praetor for longer so maybe the romans#wouldve cared more. this also does away with the plot hole of ppl not giving a shit that jason piper and leo (and dylan) straight up#dipped. introducing piper especially to a summer camp makes chb less appealing because they're too old for that and thus makes their#departure from chb make more sense in toa. yet also it opens up the possibility of new rome uni.... which i cannot see any reason as to why#leo would not go there!!!!! outside of being banned cuz he bombed new rome lol. but pipers sexuality arc works for college too!!! ur never#too old to find urself. but also this is the question of if you are able to relatively function in society (this is more for piper leo fran#and i guess percy) then why would you even fight this prophecy??? anyway lol them being college aged is perfect cuz percy is literally#going to a new place and having a new transition with new ppl... like u do in college LOL. now the question is would hazel still be 13. nic#is a lot older at this point and perhaps has the same age gap as bianca and him did 🤔 cant remember. but also don't know why hazel was 13#in the first place lol. idk. in my college hoo she is just a senior in hs about to graduate from spqr and thinking about staying there or#possibly going to newru after seeing frank make the decision the previous year! SAD!#anyway in hoo. percy and annabeth are sophomores. frank and the lost trio are freshman.#but then in toa. percy annie frank and the lost trio are all graduating cuz percy got held back and Annabeth failed after tartarus fr.#but then also know that piper never went to newru and is adamant about going to mortal uni. and leo kills in newru but is bored. nvm i#forgot he died 🧍‍♂️ ummmmmm ok. ignore leo. and jason actually. so um. ok that really threw me off but are u getting it. that's when apollo#is like 'heeyyyyy i need help pwease 🥺' and they're all like 'dude.'#OK!#but also i ackowedge that this is a children's book and i am not its demographic so god be with you.

Echo
Pairing: Percy Jackson x Child of Apollo Reader
Genre: Angst, fluff maybe
Word count: 1.25k [masterlist]
Requested by @almost-gabrielle
An arrow sailed through the air as you calculated the distance between you and them. Concluding that you won't make it in time, you decided to turn on your weapon to the person who you were once familiar with.
The arrow planted itself on the trunk of a tree nearby, wheezing past Backbiter and Riptide from clashing together again, earning a gasp from them. Stunned in place momentarily from a third party as you ran towards them.
Your dominant hand knocked another arrow to the bow as you stopped in front of Percy, raising the tip towards Luke. You were horrified from the deathly stare Luke had given Percy from yards away when you went looking for them.
Not knowing what was happening, you felt the need to protect Percy even if he just had been in camp for a short amount of time. But with the gift of being able to acquire the knowledge of prophecies, due to your father being Apollo, you had the conscious thought of who's in the right or wrong.
“[Y/N]? What are you doing here?” Sounding more shocked than irritated, a shadow of guilt and shame passed his face for one of his longtime friends from the camp had witnessed his becoming.
“Could've asked you the same thing, Castellan.” The usage of his last name did earn a reaction out of him. Displeased as you had never addressed him as such. You readjusted your grip on the tail end of the arrow.
“Give me a chance to explain things to you, [Y/N],” Lowering his double edged sword, his demeanor and tone changed as that of an adult consulting a child. Or one that was trying to manipulate. You knew of those tactics used.
“Don't listen to him!” Percy exclaimed from behind you. Then, he told you of Luke’s plan to recruit and to restore the being of Kronos.
Horror filled your veins as you listened to how absurd the string of words were.
“How-, why?” Was what you managed to give out as your eyebrows furrowed looking at the son of Hermes in front of you.
“One day I’ll make you understand,” Taking a few steps back, you almost didn't see the portal that had opened up behind Luke in which the direction you thought he was going, “And you will join me,” Looking over your shoulder, he spoke directly to the boy behind you, “Especially you, Percy.”
Then he disappeared.
“Are you okay? Are you hurt?”
“No, no. I'm fine,”
Just then, you saw that he was gripping his bicep, a dark flow of red was blooming on the fabric of his flannel. A grimace on his face.
“Oh my god, Percy.” Without a word you guided him to the infirmary after making a makeshift tourniquet by sacrificing your overshirt. Being in cabin 7 meant that you had access to the infirmary at all times in case of emergency. And this was an emergency.
Cleaning a wound and healing it with a salve was a common occurrence in your days. Muscle memory took hold of you as you sat Percy down on one of the beds and ordered him to stay still as you worked on his injury.
It was quite between the two of you. The only sound coming from your working and the soft crashing of the water near the river. The celebration from your team winning Capture the Flag had died down as everybody dispersed.
Both too occupied with racing thoughts trying to process what had happened. You both lost a friend and what you had considered your family.
Pulling your mind and focus back into reality, though it felt like you were trudging through muddied water each step making you sink deeper, you took a seat next to Percy on the bed. Exhaustion took over every fiber of your body as your tired eyes stared into the wooden wall.
“How are you feeling, Percy?” Managing a turn of your head towards him, you saw him shaking his head slowly, unfocused eyes trained to the wall in front the same as you. You felt awful for him to experience such a thing. And to ask such a stupid question. But it was a natural question one might say.
Of course you're not okay.
Betrayed by the person who got you to accept and introduce your new life only for them to turn it around.
Feeling drained, you stood up to leave him be. Maybe your presence was not required. Maybe he needed the company of his best friend? Who were you to him anyway? The best thing you could offer was your aid to his injury and perhaps nothing more.
Saying your goodbye to him, you stood to take your leave.
Only, you were gently pulled by your wrist making you stop.
Looking up at you was such pleading blue eyes curtained by soft blond curls. He truly was the son of Poseidon as you watch the colour of the sea swirls in his eyes reflecting the state of his mind even in low warm lighting. For a moment, you were in awe, mouth falling open slightly.
“Could you, maybe,” Averting his gaze to his balled fist in his lap, suddenly shy though he hadn't let go of your wrist, “Stay here?”
With me? Was what he had meant to say. It didn't get past his lips but you thought the same. You pitied him for what he had to go through this summer.
Although you haven't spent enough time together, you did however admire him for his bravery and determination in taking your shared destiny of being a half-blood by the reign and guiding through the trenches of your fate fearlessly. In your time of being a camper here, you had never met one demigod with the likeness of him.
Did you develop some sort of affection towards him? Maybe a little.
Or a lot more than that.
For Percy reminded you so much of your past friend.
There was a time before you were exposed to this other world, the world of your divine lineage, you had a close friend that he had resembled from the appearance down to his personality.
When Percy first landed in the infirmary, the air had been knocked out of your lung as the thought of him being your past friend was true. But upon learning his name and background, you lost your hope.
Because you had lost that friend when one day, when your scent had attracted too many monsters, it had hurt him in the process of you trying to fend it off.
To him, who was a mortal blinded by the Mist, he didn't understand your action of running away. Without saying goodbye.
To your younger self, it was the best option as to not get him involved and possibly intertwined with the mishaps of your life. Even if it was not fair to anyone.
It was better to save himself from you.
Though it still tugged at your heartstrings in that moment of him holding onto you.
Do you indulge in your feelings for a lost person that you might have considered as a lover, or put aside your selfishness and stay as a friend?
Before you could come up with a conclusion of your own, the heaviness of your heart pulled you back to reality, and right back into his ocean eyes.
You felt like drowning in them.
“Okay, I’ll stay with you.”

Okay, I had thoughts on forming a legit DBD Hadestown AU, and seeing as they kept me up literally all last night, it seemed only fitting that I actually write them down. So:
Charles and Edwin are, obviously, Orpheus and Eurydice respectively. However, rather than having just met and falling into a whirlwind romance, I decided that they're childhood friends who've met again and rediscovered feelings that they'd both been ignoring for a long time. Edwin is dedicated soley to figuring out why the world is dying and if he can help people while he can, and he hasn't really let himself rest, or even feel happy, in years---to the point where he feels that any good thing is too good to be true, even falling in love. Charles, on the other hand, has long since made the decision that someone has to be happy and keep spirits up in the trying times, and it might as well be him... even at the cost of his own health, as he works tirelessly on a song that he knows, despite all logic and understanding, will bring back spring again.
Crystal is Hermes, but she is also Hecate---she is the goddess of the in-between, magic, trickery, the crossroads, and restless souls... and that last part refers not only to the dead that she guides to Hadestown, but to anyone who chooses a life of wandering the road, from the honest messenger to the thieving highwayman. And yet, since the world has begun to die, she's been slowly slipping away from her role, choosing to spend her time among the mortals. This decision, of course, is helped by the fact that not only is Crystal one of the few gods who thinks there's more to the world dying than it just being "a reflection of mortal hubris," but that she's managed to make a friend in Charles. She's seen the way that music can change the world, after all, and knowing that there's at least one mortal who still has hope means that she can still believe.
Niko is a combination of Aphrodite and Dionysus---she's the goddess of love, revelries, happiness, and abundance, yes, but she's also the goddess of the mania that comes when all of those things are taken too far, and she's been dipping more and more into that side of herself as the world gets worse and worse. She wants to forget all the pain and suffering, and she gives herself and others the means to do so, even if it's all temporary. And while Niko does care for the mortals, and wishes that things could get better... deep down, she's lost a lot of her old hope, and even she can't disguise the fact that she's living with a broken heart.
Monty is Persephone, but he's also Apollo---he's the god of rebirth, prophecies, the stars and the earth, and new beginnings... and for what should be half of the year, he rules over the dead. He used to find just as much joy in watching over the souls as he did creating spring with Niko and charting the stars to bring prophecies to the mortals, but as Hadestown gets more punishing, more people die up above, and the world just gets worse, Monty grows even more bitter and closed off. He's unable to even properly enjoy his time on the surface, knowing full well that he won't stay for six months like he should... and the man he loves is wearing his patience thin.
The Cat King is Hades---and yes, somebody did make a very compelling argument for him being the Fates, but it works for the story, so just hang on. Once upon a time, he was happy just ruling over souls and managing the afterlife, and he cherished the time he spent with Monty as much as he could. But over time, wealth became added to his already vast domain, and his fascination for making and collecting things became an obsession... in no small part due to the fact that those six months spent away from Monty started to weigh incredibly heavy on him, and he eventually loses himself in his effort to replicate everything his husband loves about the upper world as it dies along with the way they used to feel about each other. Not to mention, his old empathy and compassion for the souls has hardened into cold indifference at best and a sick enjoyment of their suffering at worst. And all this change is making one person in particular very happy...
Esther is the Fates, but she's also a version of Demeter---the goddess of nature and all of its love and cruelties, and the one who spins everyone's path on her loom, punishing those who dare to stray from what she has determined for them. She's despised the Cat King for years, ever since he whisked Monty away to Hadestown, and she wholeheartedly believes that the reason the world is dying is only because he's been keeping Monty down there for too long, not because they've begun to fall out of love. So, when Esther spins a tale of a pair of lovers who are destined to end tragically, she sees it as an opportunity to finally push the Cat King and Monty to the breaking point---to save her son and the world, she tells herself, but mostly for revenge.

If the Graveyard kids were demigods, which Greek god would they be the child of? (Riodanverse AU)
For Ashlyn, I believe she would just be another of Apollo's kids, keeping to herself most of the time. Nobody really paid her any mind because out of the dozens of Apollo kids, there wasn't anything particularly remarkable about her. She wasn't the Head Counsellor or anything. She liked it that way. Ashlyn discovered she was a demigod when she was young and spent two full years at the camp to fully prepare for living as a demigod in the mortal world before becoming a summer-only kid. Her sensitivity to sound is one of the strange abilities she inherited but isn't fully able to control, which is why she wears enchanted earplugs that keep sounds at a more tolerable level. Beyond that, she was a pretty average Apollo kid. She was good at the basics like Archery and Music but not beyond that of a normal Apollo kid. The only thing that really stood out was her dancing. It was her special interest, incorporating it into her daily life as a demi-god as often as she could. Her fighting style was based on ballet in canon and she preferred fighting with her legs over her hands--even going as far as putting a weapon in her shoes so she could still use her legs to attack. So she is an average demigod overall. Until one day she discovers that she was one of the few to inherit Apollo's nosokinesis, the ability to create and control diseases (like her ability to open rifts and trap people in them in canon). There's also the fact that her name literally means 'dream' or 'vision', so considering the fact that Apollo is literally the god of prophecy, I think being a child of Apollo fits her very well.
For Logan, I feel that for a long time, he would just be another unclaimed kid. He didn't know anything about his real parents and his grandparents were always super cagey about it until he was older and got attacked by a monster and they finally took him to the camp. He still doesn't know who his biological mother was. Then one day after being pushed too far by bullies, he snapped just like in canon, and was claimed by Ares, the god of war. Much to his and Barron's (another child of Ares) dismay because what the fuck do you mean this dickhead is my half-brother?! He had initially believed that his parent was related to his love for space and astronomy or maybe even his intelligence and love for math but Ares?!
For Aiden, I think being a child of Hermes suits him best. I've done some tests and got answers like Ares or the Big Three, which I don't think those really fit him. But for some reason, I like the idea that he has the favour of/is a legacy of Hades or Hecate from his dad's side while being completely unaware of it until much later (the unexplained connection his dad has to Maverick). Children of Hermes tend to be more hyperactive than other demigods and are often referred to as a jack of all trades and I think those things really suit Aiden. When he was younger, his parents sent him to camp year round in hopes that it would help him and he came back with dyed blond hair, red eye contacts and a reckless streak a mile wide.
For Ben, I believe that this kid is and always will be a child of Apollo. His deep love and talent for singing and music, his rage and hurt at having this taken away from him. His knack for medicine despite only having experience through taking care of Aiden. He only discovered he was a demigod after his voice was destroyed so he never learned that he could heal people with his voice/singing until one of the others, maybe Taylor, were fatally injured and he had no supplies to save them so as one last attempt to comfort them, he breaks his years of silence and sings for them. To his complete astonishment, they started healing and were able to stay alive long enough to get the medical help they needed. He felt pressued to sing and use his voice after that because it could heal people but Aiden or one of the others nipped that in the bud and told him he didn't have to do anything he didn't want to. The idea of him also having premonitions when something bad is going to happen is cool, especially if it's the reason why he ends up catching little details the others fail to notice (a little nod to Canvas Ben for being so goddamn observant). His relationship with Aiden is also cute because children of Apollo and children of Hermes tend to get along, although not all of them do (Aiden and Ashlyn lol).
For Taylor and Tyler, I believe the twins would be children of Hephaestus. In some cultures, identical twins are treated as one entity/soul that was separated into two people and the same could be said about the Hernandez twins in this AU. Although they are different people with different interests and goals, that is how they are perceived as mortals. On the divine side of things, however, they are seen as a single soul split into two. That's why their connection goes far beyond that of regular mortal twins. Their abilities also reflect this. Taylor is a brilliant craftswoman and has a way with technology that separates her from the rest. She's also extremely fire-resistant, which proves to be useful considering her brother has the ability to manipulate fire. Tyler, on the other hand, has the basic skills needed to be a mechanic due to growing up with Taylor but it isn't instinctive in the same it is for Taylor. He is one of the few children of Hephaestus to have pyrokinesis, something he had to learn to master on his own because there wasn't anyone to teach him. They complete each other.
Although Aiden and Ashlyn spent a year or two in the camp, their paths never crossed and they were just another faceless person in the crowd of campers until they officially met when Ben and Aiden began to go to her high school in her sophomore year. Aiden clocked her as a demigod as soon as they met at the bus and was excited to meet another one of them outside of camp. He was also curious to know if she figured out what she was yet and if not, he could protect her from monsters and lead her to camp! Ashlyn recognized both Aiden and Ben as demigods but preferred to avoid mixing her mortal life with her mythological one so she avoided Aiden's needling to the best of her ability. When Ben finally told Aiden that she was another child of Apollo at camp, Aiden doubled down on the pestering which irritated Ashlyn beyond belief. Unfortunately for her, this wasn't the last she was going to see of him.
Mid-way through the first semester, Ashlyn received a prophecy from the Oracle stating that she and five others were to go on a quest. It was a shock to her and everyone in the camp because she was pretty unremarkable yet she was the one that had to go on the quest? It was ridiculously vague beyond the fact that she specifically had to go to Savannah with a group of five others. So she had to pick five other members for her team.
Nearly everyone tried to volunteer and because Ashlyn didn't particularly care who went along, names were drawn out of a bowl. With her luck, Aiden and Ben's names were both drawn out of the bowl, along with the Hernandez twins and Logan. She wasn't particularly happy with those chosen but she supposed it could be worse. Especially when she considered the fact she could've been going with him.
Barron was throwing a fit about how an unclaimed coward like Logan couldn't have possibly been picked but Tyler told him that no one would even want to go on a quest with him considering the only thing he cared about was glory and honour for himself.
And so, the six of them packed their things and started their journey to Savannah, Georgia where it all went to hell.

Since I'm currently fixated on my own fic, I'll brag about it here.
So, about When the Horizon Blooms, this will never happen this way because a lot of things happened between the moment Percy left and when the story is set, so those obviously won't be the actual reactions from the characters, but I love to imagine how people from the year post Second Titanomachy would react to the fact that Percy I-Will-Challange-A-God-To-A-Fight-At-Twelve-Years-Old Jackson is pregnant with Phoebus The-World-Is-My-Oyster Apollo’s childREN.
Like, in a word without the prophecy or a word in which the prophecy came out later.
Everyone going through it. War flashbacks, childhood trauma, Annabeth with a “get a job, stay away from her” attitude towards Apollo (when she’s in a good mood), Poseidon throwing a fit, the campers raising money to help raise the triplets because they will ALL be the dad that stepped up, making the buildings at camp more resistant just in case…
Apollo himself is probably locked on Olympus against his will, because otherwise Poseidon would turn him into fried chicken.
And Cabin 7 just going on and on about Percy being technically their mom now. They’d make personalised camp T-shirts with “Olympus’ Hero Mom Privileges” on the back.

hello a request please blood zeus hermes x reader x apollo, In the myths there is a daughter of Poseidon who had twins, one was from Hermes and the other from Apollo, I was wondering if the reader could be the mother of his children.
Sure thing!

Despite his insistence that you be married to a proper union, Poseidon is at the very least content you gathered children with Zeus’s favored sons
And that stony expression breaks away whenever he sees his beloved grandchildren
Hermes and Apollo are an entirely different story and league of their own.
Though they have a close relationship, aside from Apollo and Artemis, they were rivals for your affections when both had their eyes on you
The more it advanced, the more possessive they got until news came you’re pregnant
Seeing as he is a god of prophecy, Apollo knows you are bearing twins and sets aside this petty squabble to take care of you
Once Hermes figures it out, he’s ecstatic and showering you with affection
Things shift from that day on as both of the gods tend to your every whim, always staying by you and just overflowing with the adoration
You couldn’t have asked for more attentive or loving men during your pregnancy
The day your twins arrive is the most joyous one for Poseidon, for Apollo and Hermes as they hold the tiny cooing bundles
You’ve never seen such stoic beings shed tears before

AU where Hades never cursed the Oracle of Delphi, and it not taking a new host really was just a weird anomaly case of no one "fitting" coming around. When May comes to camp and attempts to become the Oracle, she succeeds without any major issues. Apollo even allows her to raise her son- in her spare time where she isn't acting as his oracle, ofcourse. May's fine with it, overjoyed even. She moves into camp permanently together with Luke, Chiron allowing Luke to stay with his mother instead of going to the Hermes cabin while he's so young. Hermes meanwhile resigns himself to keeping his distance. He loves May- so seeing her like this, unattainable to him without risking the wrath of Apollo- well he simply can't bear it. Best not to risk it at all.
The dream comes crashing down for May much quicker than she expected though- turns out there's a lot more expected of her as Oracle of Delphi than she originally thought. She has to learn ancient greek, the culture of Camp Halfblood, and how things work. She has to advise people, and remain composed as she serves Apollo faithfully. (A younger Oracle would have had more time- would have seen less responsibility as she is allowed to grow into it. But May? She's a grown adult, and she does not have any of the leniency someone younger would get)
Years pass in the blink of an eye- and despite not spending as much time with her son as she wished she could- May does generally say that they are happy. She doesn't think much of it when Luke moves into the Hermes cabin at the age of nine. It's where all his siblings are, and kids to grow up quickly these days. It's note like he'd bee too far away either- all that really changes is Luke sleeping in a different spot! Chiron has been mentioning it anyway that Luke should join his siblings- Hermes had claimed him as soon as he moved into Camp with his mother permanently, and the boy's been kept from his cabin long enough.
It's not like she couldn't use the extra room and time for herself anyway. Being the Oracle of Delphi is a busy job after all. As the years go by May grows into her role more. Luke starts being independent from her more and more- spending more time away from her and with other campers. But there's no reason to be concerned about that, right? It's normal for children to grow independent as they age. And May is so proud of her baby boy when he becomes Hermes head counselor. His failed quest was...well, it was a low point. Especially when she had to look Luke in the eyes and give him a prophecy spelling doom. Believe her when she says that she spend every single day worrying about and praying for her child to return safely.
Especially when her brave boy refuses to take any companions with him, not wanting to endanger anyone else. It doesn't matter to May that Luke returns with a scar and no apple- all that matters is that he's alive. Her baby boy is alive and safe and that is all that matters. It concerns her when Luke refuses any of her attempts to comfort him. Turning his back anytime she approaches him, telling his mother "not to worry" and that "she surely has more important stuff to worry about than him"
May learns soon enough that her son needs space now. All her attempts are met with rejection and bitterness, so clearly Luke does not need- nor want- his mother right now. It's fine, May is sure her son is fine. Or at least she thought so until one day, on the last day of summer, Luke leads Percy into the woods and sticks a pit scorpion on him. Telling him about how horrid their parents truly are- mortal and godly. Afterall, no matter how much they say they "love" their children- there's always something more important. Another prophecy to speak, another camper to advise, another ritual for Apollo to perform. All that matters to them are the gods- a half-mortal child simply isn't important enough. And he's not gonna take it any longer. May is the Oracle of Delphi. Luke hates both his parents. And fate is unavoidable.

Some chaotic concepts for a "Percy x everyone" fanfic
What if Poseidon suddenly becomes overprotective over Percy and asks Apollo how to make Percy immortal and his prophetic answer is basically "the ONLY way that will EVER happen is through a marriage to another immortal, coz he'd do it out of love"
The rumor spreads like wildfire and suddenly it's another Helen of Sparta situation because every other major AND minor deity is wooing Percy. The gods are showing up left and right, he wakes up to a pile of gifts on his desk, even the nymphs are shooting their shot with him. He becomes paranoid of every other plant or animal that catches his eye because it might just be a god/goddess/nymph in disguise
It is absolute chaos and Percy has to stay at Poseidon's palace for a long while to avoid all the unwanted attention. He is (rightfully) very concerned that Hera, the goddess of marriage, will find a way to kidnap him or maybe Aphrodite or Eros is gonna force him to fall in love with someone else entirely. He probably can't even die in peace because then the underworld Gods might make a move on him in the afterlife.
~
The endgame ship is up to you and the lengths that the Gods will go to is up for interpretation. This can be Percy x God where they slowly manage to woo him despite the drama. Or it's Percy x Demigod wherein he rejects literally everyone for the sake of his mortal lover. Or hey, maybe he falls in love with a naiad or nereid, that's still pretty sweet. Or you can be angsty and make it dubcon or unrequited love or something.
~
What if this is an AU where Annabeth and Percy already broke up months ago so that's why Poseidon was so concerned for Percy's happiness.
What if Percy's current lover (a demigod probably) breaks up with him over all this, or at least it puts a huge strain on their relationship.
What if Eris, goddess of discord, was the one who nudged Poseidon into becoming so worried about Percy's mortality, and now she's just sipping tea watching the chaos unfold.
What if Apollo doesn't even tell Poseidon about the prophecy so just he can woo Percy himself without any competition.
What if Hermes is the only god that has access to Percy at Atlantis because he's the Messenger god.
What if Thanatos shows up unannouned coz death is inescapable and he makes Percy super flustered
What if one of the Olympians offers to make Percy his/her cupbearer.
What if one of the Gods literally tries to fly away with Percy and it almost causes WWIII.
What if Poseidon tries to play matchmaker for a while but when things get out if control he becomes super apologetic coz Percy is miserable.
What if this causes and irreparable rift between Percy and his dad because this is literally all his fault
What if Percy is still in love with someone who is already dead, and now he's super depressed because he'll probably never be able to reunite with them in Elysium
What if Percy spends his last few days of mortality with his current mortal lover, savoring this chance to give them his heart from his own free will
What if Percy's demigod lover goes on an epic quest to earn immortality and then asks for Percy's hand in marriage immediately after.
~
Whatever the result, Percy's marriage becomes the #1 topic everywhere and if/when he does marry an Immortal it will be THE marriage of the Century.

What if... Leo Became a God?
Okay, but what if Leo literally burnt away his mortality during Blood of Olympus while fighting Gaea?
Now, before you go ahead and bring out the sledgehammers and pitchforks, or think I'm just doing it as a joke, this is a possibility that I'm being very sincere in considering this. And it is a possibility, because this isn't the first time this has happened in myth - Heracles did it first. So if burning himself alive in a freaking pyre was all Heracles needed to ascend to godhood, Leo literally burning himself alive using his own flames to kill a Primordial should be more than enough. Plus there's the whole Hera mimicking what Demeter did with Demophon, so we could say he's nearly there. Him burning himself alive is just that final push he needed to become a god, burning away his own mortality.
I mean, think about it. The prophecy always said, an oath to hold with a final breath, but it never meant Leo had to get close to perma-dead. Riordan did it just fine with the Physician's Cure, having Leo achieve apotheosis to do so would also be a way to circumvent the loophole in the prophecy. The phrasing is vague in that 'final breath' could be interpreted in multiple ways, such as 'one's final breath as a mortal.'
Oh the irony. We all thought Leo was going to die, then bam! Boy ends up with a permanent lease on life by literally burning himself alive, a lot more power than he could ever imagine getting, and a lot of freedom he never had as a mortal. He's lucky demigod #3 to ascend to godhood without divine patronage, right after Heracles and Dionysus. When he returns to Camp Half-Blood, it isn't on Festus, but him straight-up materializing in the middle of his funeral. Nearly every Greek and Roman but especially Nico mentally screams WTF as they realize that the funeral hasn't even ended, and Leo's shroud is basically his first offering.
His friends reactions to seeing him - and realizing the truth of what he has become. Jason and Piper are in shock, realizing that their friend is now going to stay young and will eventually watch them die and have to move on. Frank and Hazel are bewildered, because Leo's plan to burn himself alive to defeat Gaea had gone horribly right and now they have to deal with the fact that they had a hand in Leo's apotheosis. Percy and Annabeth are bewildered and shocked at the fact that Leo just straight up became a god - and the now very real reality that one of them may eventually do so (cough cough Percy).
When Leo goes to free Calypso, she literally has to process the fact that the boy she may have liked is now a god - the very beings she despises for imprisoning her in Ogygia. That eventually Leo may most likely move on to someone else and dump her. This crashes especially hard when she gets out of that island and realizes that she's become mortal. The dynamics between them have completely changed and Leo isn't aware of it, and Calypso doesn't know how to process that.
Hera is the one to explain exactly is going on to Leo, because she knows she had a hand in Leo becoming a god. She owes him at the very least to guide Leo in his new reality, and both the positive and negative benefits that are associated with ascension to godhood. Hephaestus doesn't know how to handle Leo now basically being just there forever, because none of his children ever became gods unless they were the children of him and a god. Nemesis marvels at the irony of Leo becoming a god while stealing Gaea's life, noting that this was a rather marvelous way that Leo rained his vengeance upon her. Apollo's just friendly because now he has a new friend to be with him in Olympus.
But this ending - for Heroes of Olympus as a whole - would be more poetic and a parallel to The Last Olympian. Percy was satisfied with who he was, protecting the world to save those he loves and he's happy with that. Leo is one who ascends to the heavens in his feat to avenge those he loves and destroying those who tried to destroy him.
But... there's one thing they have in common.
Leo's first act as a god isn't to rescue Calypso. It isn't to appear before the Seven and let them know he's alive. Leo appears in the Underworld and requests for only a single soul to be allowed a second chance at life. The single soul that he loves the most.
Esperanza Valdez is brought out of the underworld, and Leo freezes. The boy on fire who became a god turns back into a boy of eight years old as he finally gets back the mom he lost so long ago as he hugs her as best as he can. He hadn't expected to be a god. He didn't know what would happen next. But this - this is one of the few times things actually feel right. They've both been given a new lease on life - one longer than the other, but they can finally keep moving forward.

Part 4 of my Greek family tree thing. I took a break from it because it was getting kind of dull and it required a lot of wikipedia searching. But I've come back for part 4. The least I can do is discuss the first 12 Titans briefly. So here we go (note: this took me nearly two hours to write):
Gaia and Ouranos had lots of children (including the Cyclopses and the hundred-handed ones) but their most famous children were the 12 Titans. Six male, six female. In order from oldest to youngest (well, with Oceanus as eldest and Kronos as the youngest. I don't know the others) they were:
Oceanus: Oceanus seems like the most gentle of all of Gaia and Ouranos's sons. Being the oldest, perhaps Oceanus had a maturity the others didn't. Oceanus didn't participate in the attack on his father (he was the only one of the six male titans who didn't participate in the attack), and he also didn't any sides during the first titan war. Perhaps this is why there's no indication Oceanus was punished in any significant way. Unlike his brothers, I'm assuming he got amnesty for staying neutral.
Tethys: Tethys would end up as Oceanus's wife. They were both Titans of the water. According to her wikipedia page, Tethys nursed Helios and Selene for her sister Theia. Her and Oceanus may have also raised Hera while Zeus was fighting Kronos. Wikipedia mentioned something about that.
Hyperion: Titan of Light, he is responsible for most of the gods that represent the cosmos. Him and his wife Theia had three kids: Helios (the Sun), Selene (the Moon) and Eos (the Dawn). Also, Hyperion was guardian of one of the pillars that held up the sky. Him, Crius, Coius and Iapetus were the four Titans in charge of holding up the sky. Hyperion got the Eastern Pillar, making him Titan of the East.
Theia: The Titan in control of sight and vision. Theia is responsible for making precious metals like gold and silver shine the way they do. She made them precious, I suppose you could say. Her and Hyperion were clearly a good pair. Light and Vision, two things very commonly associated with each other.
Coeus: Coeus is the forgotten titan. He's almost never mentioned in the Pjo books, his wikipedia page is much smaller than his brothers, Coeus is clearly very forgettable. Maybe it's because he was one of the middle kids in the titan family. Coeus was also the guardian of the Northern Pillar of the sky, making him Titan of the North. He may have also been the Titan of Knowledge. Apollo, Artemis and Hecate are his grandkids.
Phoebe: Wife of Coeus, Phoebe is also associated with Prophecy. Before her grandson Apollo, Phoebe was the guardian of the Oracle of Delphi. She gave it away to her grandson on one of his birthdays, the same way her sister Themis had given it to her years ago.
Crius/Krios: Titan of the Stars, one of his names (Krios specifically) was supposedly also the Greek word for Ram. Crius is another one that's easily forgotten, but at least he was briefly seem in the Pjo series (that's more than what Coeus got). Crius is also the Titan of the South, holding up the southern pillar of the sky.
Mnemosyne: Titan of memory, Mnemosyne stayed neutral in the Titan war (or fought for the Olympians). We know this because Mnemosyne is also the mother of the nine muses, who were born from Mnemosyne and Zeus.
Iapetus: Titan of Mortality and Craftsmanship, Iapetus was the Titan of the West. He may be seen as humanity's oldest ancestor. To the point where his four children (prometheus, epimetheus, atlas and menoetius) were seen as embodying some of humanity's worst aspects.
Themis: Titan of Justice and Law. Themis would go on to marry Zeus and become his second wife. Fun fact: Themis is still referenced a lot today. Whenever we refer to lady justice, we're probably talking about Themis.
Rhea: Mother of the gods, Rhea plays an important role in the history of Olympus. Also, let's be honest. Rhea probably had an awful life with a husband like Kronos.
Kronos: The youngest of the Titans, Kronos was also the worst of the lot. Kronos was probably the Titan/God of time (unless you think him and Chronos are two different people). Kronos may have also been the god of the harvest. But honestly, he'll always be known for castrating his father and trying to eat his children. Oh, and probably being an abusive husband with that track record.

even statues crumble if they're made to wait
I am the noble augur. The seer of New Rome, blessed by the divine hands of Apollo, the god of prophecy and truth.
I see it all. From horrific famines that leave one lone survivor, to beautiful eras of plentiful harvests and flourishing economies, there is nothing the gods keep away from my foresight. I have helped every civilian in Rome with their fortunes, I have foreseen the deceitful tactics of our enemies and saved the eternal city from doom by doing so. I am respected and idolized within the community. No man looks down on me. No event takes me by surprise, for the gods favour me so much they allow me to see every event that is to take place within the near future.
At least, that’s how it was when that son of Jupiter was still here.
Oh, Jason. Beautiful, blessed boy, possessing a body sculpted by the Olympians themselves. Such gentle hands, such a touching soul. He did not belong to the battlefield. He did not deserve to wield a sword, did not deserve to be in the battlefield. He should have lived in the beautiful abode of the gods, acting as one of the divine deities that rule and preserve the planet. Humans and mortals stained his celestial, ethereal being with their dirtiness.
One would mistake him for being a prince from bygone eras of the ancient past, not a boy forced to be a soldier.
He and I grew together side-by-side. I welcomed him to New Rome when we were both just toddlers, played with him when all other children ignored and scoffed at him. Seeing him succeed, go so far within the hierarchy of Rome, go from a centurion to leading the entire Roman populus.. Not much makes my heart swell, but his success truly does have an effect on me.
He had it all. We had it all. We were happy, content with the life the gods had given us. Why did he choose to vanish?
Initially, Reyna and I believed that Jason had just wandered off to run an errand; a secret mission bestowed upon him by Jove, or one of the other Olympians. It wasn’t unheard of that legionnaires would disappear for two or three days to complete a quest for a deity. So we waited for him. A day turned into two, two days turned into a month.. A month turned into two. Still no Jason. Hope turned to agitation as it began to dawn on the two of us that our beloved Jason wouldn’t be coming home any time soon.
I relived the moment Reyna ran into my room. She had run three kilometers from her office to my house. With tears flowing down her cheeks, she took me by my shoulders and begged me to communicate with the gods to find him. “Find him. Whatever it takes, please, Octavian. Just find him!”
Stoic, stone cold Reyna, driven to tears at the disappearance of her long time friend. No death fazed her. No cataclysm, however brutal, took effect on her. Her face was typically so still and unmoving, one could believe she was a statue. To see someone like her hysterically sob, breaking down on my bedroom floor.. It unnerved me.
The loss of a Praetor was a significant event within Rome. With one less protector present, the city would be slightly more vulnerable to sieges. The populus was becoming frantic with Jason’s disappearance. The Senate couldn’t afford to push the narrative that Jason was simply gone for a quest anymore; the civilians were asking questions, demanding to see any proof he was alive.
I went to the temple of Apollo the next day, bringing along a bag of stuffed bears. Cutting and examining the stuffing on the sacred altar, I hoped– no, I wished– that the deity would bring me information about Jason’s whereabouts.
One singular word. Apologies.
I didn’t go to sleep that night. He wanted me to apologize. But why? I stayed up noting down every possible cause for the singular word he said to me. Perhaps I accidentally messed the ritual up. Perhaps I mispronounced a word within the summoning of his presence, or perhaps I used the wrong type of stuffed toy.
I tried again the next day, this time bringing along a glass of wine and caviar to the temple. I made sure I used the plushies He liked the best. I made sure my clothes were clean and well-kept, ironed out to perfection, devoid of wrinkles and creases.
Nothing.
Perhaps Apollo could sense no gratitude within my offerings. Perhaps He could sense the irritation within my being.
I tried again on the following day, coming to the temple at the crack of dawn, bringing with me the most luxurious items I could attain. I brought cattle with me instead of stuffed bears.
Nothing. Not even a singular word, not even the slightest whisper going along with the breeze.
Bags grew under my eyes. I swore to Reyna I would find Jason. I swore to myself I would find him. I had to. He and I still had so many things to do. Nevermind his duties to the eternal city, I mattered more than them. They were just civilians. I was Jason’s friend. I welcomed him in when nobody did, held him close to my chest when he was utterly defeated, wiped his tears with my bare hands. Whatever did they do for him? They could praise him all they want, but in the end, I was his one true devotee. I was the only one in the world that truly understood him, the only one that truly saw him for him, the only one that didn’t care about his heritage. I couldn’t fail now. Not now, when my one true love was at stake.
And so I spent my days locked in the temple of Apollo, days blurring together as I cut up everything I could get my hands on in sheer desperation. People visited me multiple times. Reyna sent officers to check on my wellbeing. I knocked them all out and left their unconscious bodies right outside the temple doors.
When I ran out of teddy bear plushies to cut, I moved to animals. Their screams echoed within my mind during the night. My body grew frail, lost all its strength from inactivity. Wounds covered my arms, but I didn’t care. Jason came first. I could bear the physical wounds I inflicted on myself, but not the emotional scars that would come with permanently losing my prince.
I cut and splayed the entrails on the altar. I prayed and prayed and prayed for some comfort, some assurance that he was okay. I yelled to the sky and begged Jove to bring his son home. All of that work was for nothing. It was all futile.
Reyna visited me two evenings later, holding a tray full of food and water. It had been two weeks since the public last saw me, she said.
I did not utter a word. I did not eat the food. I would much rather join Jason in the realm of the departed than live another day in a world without him. If I was going to starve to death, so be it.

Campfire song
Pairing|| Luke x Hades!Daughter!OC
Summary|| Luke comforts Holly after she gets a verse during the campfire song in TLT musical
Word Count|| 915
youtube
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Holly watched the campers eat in the dinning pavilion. She poked at her food as Luke looked toward Holly. He sat by a unclaimed kid who just came to camp.
Luke slid Percy a glass of Ambrosia. Holly couldn't hear there conversation over the Apollo cabin starting to play guitars. She raised her glass along with the rest of camp as Luke toasted to the gods.
"My dad is Hermes, he messangers things, you'll know his sign by his shoes with those wings. I'd wait by the phone, but the phone never rings, OH NOO!" Holly listened to Luke sing. She frowned at their very similar stories.
"I know how that feels," she muttered.
"When your dad's a god, life can be tough! I met the guy once, and once was enough!"
"Oh, I hear that," Annabeth murmurs
"Annabeth!' Luke cheers.
"My mom is Athena," Annabeth joined in on the song, "she's smart and she's wise. She had sworn of gluten and she has sworn of guys. But if she came to camp, it be a surprise, oh noo!"
The rest of the camp joined in on the oh no.
"Oh and my step mom, she hates me, and my dad works all day. So I left Virginia and I ran away."
"Wait is that true?" Percy asks.
"Everybody!" Luke shouts. Even cranky old Holly joined in.
"Oh things couldn't be worse, when your parents run the universe. Ohh things couldn't be worse when your folks run the universe," "alright who's next."
A girl from Demeter cabin stood, "Oh my mom is Demeter, goddess of grain, she gets excited when it starts to rain. But planting and planting and planting's a pain, oh no! Right, for their sixteenth birthday my friends got a car, I got a fern in some dumb mason jar."
Grover let out a laugh, "Ooh, ooh, my turn! v I'm the child of pan, god of the wild. For those who love nature they're often beguiled. He's not really my dad, but i'm sort of his child, oh no. He went for a hike to explore new frontiers, no one has seen him for thousands of year."
The camp once more repeated the chorus before coming to Chiron.
"Oh, well, my father is Kronos," the camp fell dead, "remember my lecture, he ate his children."
"Yeah, Chiron wins," Luke said through gritted teeth. "What about you Holly?"
"Umm… my parents aren't quite like all of yours. My father was Hades, my mother Persephone, I was born eighteen years ago, on a technicality, oh no. A prophecy stated my early arrival, what a load of absolute shit. Dropped at the gates of this mighty camp, I was raised by Mr.D to one day be a god, yet that training has made me want to stay, oh no, so when the summer solstice comes, I won't know what to do, my life has gone to absolute poo," Holly looked down at her meal, she felt tears wanting to stream down her face.
"Aaa Alright Percy, it's your turn," Luke told the boy next to him. He did, however look towards Holly, her sad face breaking his heart. Without much warning Holly suddenly disappeared. Once out of the sight of the pavilion she wandered over to a tree. On the tree there was a ladder.
She started to climb till she was met with the familiar sight of her tree house, one she had built for her as a child. As she entered a set of small glowing lights flickered on. She crawls over to a small padded bench and sat down. Holly was under the roofed part of the tree house.
She took a deep breath in as rain starts to fall. Holly snaps her head to the crawl space. She saw a mop of curly brown hair emerge from the trunk.
"Can I come in?" Luke asks. He could barely see Holly nod. Luke pushes himself up into the small house. He walks over and sits down next to the girl. They both watched to the rain hit the wooden deck of the tree house. For Holly, it had soothing properties.
"I'm sorry I'm such a wreck, it's just my past is hard," Holly leaned into Luke's side. He wrapped his left arm around her shoulders.
"My history is hard to, at least one day you get to go and be with your dad," Luke harshly laughs.
"I don't even really know him, it was them who didn't even want me. I was supposed to be a great, amazing, universally loved gift."
"We all were supposed to be," Luke frowned.
"I don't even know how I'm supposed to go to the underworld when I've, one, never been there, and two, I don't even want to, I have to!"
"Are you sure you can't chose?" Luke looked towards Holly.
"No I can't, something about the gods needing this, requiring this," Holly groaned.
"The gods need to be put into their place," Luke muttered.
"What?" Holly looked up at Luke. Oh gods! Luke thought, she can't know. Why was I so stupid? Not yet at least.
"Um.. nothing, I just said I wished you had a choice," Luke lied.
"Oh, I wish I had a choice, too," Holly whispers closing her eyes. She graciously made her head comfortable on Luke's shoulder. Luke knew he loved Holly, he knew he wanted her in on his plans, but she couldn't know about, not yet at least.

Thinking about godswap AU (one last time because I already have three AUs I want to write and I need to get my thoughts together.
I had to think a lot about this not gonna lie. Because one thing about godly parents in PJO is that godly parents influence a child's personality quite a bit (which I personally don't like but whatever). And it's kind of limiting on what I could do. I think if I do actually write this it would be following the canon (simply because it's the easiest to do and I don't have to think a lot lmao). So I guess I could go over the cast and what I think their godly parents would be. (Part 1 because I've officially decided).
Percy - Now as for Percy I've been thinking about it as much I lowkey wanted to do Zeus!Percy I don't think I'm going to. I just grown to not like the idea. I think I'm just too attached to Percy being a son of Poseidon lol. I have been recently swayed by Hades, Nemesis, or Hephaestus as his godly parents for some reason.
Now I HAVE been thinking possibly doing like something based on this fanfic I read where Percy was the child of ALL of the big three kids cuz Sally slept w/ Zeus Poseidon and Hades but I don't think I'd do something that crazy. (I also thought about Orion and how he was made and eugh).
I'm so indecisive and it's lowkey showing.
I do have a slight HC I might use to make this work for my self indulgent reasons (godswap AUs are purely for my self indulgence borderline crazy stuff so). Anyways the HC is that the Jackson family is actually intensively connected to the godly world and pantheons (specifically Greek and like Aztec). So he just has a bunch of randomly godly bloodline from like everywhere. So maybe he's like Frank and has a godly gift from Hades.
Poseidon and Nemesis would be his two (mamma mia) godly parents, Nemesis appearing to a bitter Sally after Poseidon just- left. And maybe Percy is just a legacy of Hephaestus (demigod Sally??) and instead of Leo, Percy got his fire (thinking it would be a post Mt. Helens thing after seeing his grandson nearly die he decides to give him a gift and help him out.) That's also him slowly discovering Hades gift on Calypsos island (and possibly staying much longer than expected while he tries to figure out what the hell is going on).
Annabeth - Okay so for Annabeth I actually have two candidates: Apollo and Prometheus. Apollo is the God of Knowledge which makes since and I feel like her godly gift instead of it being a cap it would be like a special bow and arrow or something (not sure).
As for Prometheus, he's the Titan of Forethought and Fire (Kinda?). I feel like it would make the dynamic between Luke and her interesting especially when she gets claimed and everyone's wary of her because of her connections to the titans and Luke. Maybe her being able to see glimpses into the future (in certain situations, maybe only her own plans?) Nothing too ridiculous. Maybe she can only see possibilities or maybe only the forethought only applies to herself and can only applies to others the more she knows them.
Despite this I'm actually leaning towards Apollo (not because I want to make this as easy as possible for me to write). But I feel like Annabeth being shunned and people being wary of her doesn't fit her so I'm thinking Apollo (maybe having her Patron being Athena??)
Grover - Now this one on the other hand idk. Demeter!Grover sounded sort of cool but I'm not sure. I kind of wanted to give him a godly parent but I feel like it takes away from his whole Pan arc which was his main arc so now I'm not so sure. Might keep 'em a Satyr.
Luke - Now I actually got this from a poll of a post but Hades!Luke or Dionysus!Luke is definitely interesting. I feel like it would change the dynamic of Percy and Luke completely, especially hades. It would also require some tweaking of the prophecy which it would not be necessarily the next child of the eldest gods but just the one that fits the mold I guess? Noticing how it also fits the evil hades stereotype for his kid to be the bad guy lol. Hades possibly refraining from claiming him until maybe like right before his quest with a smug look on his face but Luke just ends up doing... nothing. And he's sort of pissed at Luke because "wdym you're not the child of prophecy??"
Ethan - Still going with Zeus for this. I really liked my Zeus!Ethan idea so I want to stick with it for sure (https://www.tumblr.com/juniorig0327/760067385645580289/zeuspercy-and-possible-siblings?source=share)
Nico (& Thalia because I don't really have any ideas for them yet) - Ah yes, Nico and Thalia. Now there's a few reasons I sorta don't have an idea for them.
One, they're godly parents are sort of dependent on Percy. Two, I feel like a huge part of their characters are being big three kids (unless i exploited the loophole in the prophecy and having the elder gods be The Big 3 + Demeter, Hera, Hestia + Aphrodite??)
Hypothetically if I did do that though I'd probably make Nico a child of Aphrodite with slight water affiliation or maybe have him embody the war-like epithet.
As for Thalia, I think if I kept Percy a son of Poseidon, Thalia would have to be a daughter of Zeus. The only other big three kid I could see her being is a Poseidon Kid to be honest.
That's it for my rambling (for now). Just uh, ignore all the other godswap posts maybe? (I kinda dont want to delete them).
Hopefully my last post for today (I've been saying that to myself alot today lmao).

Fic recs!! :3
Percy jackson
Seven days and seven nights
A warning, a storm, and Will’s world gets flipped upside-down. Day 11: Storming
Finally, where i'm meant to be
Percy huffs as Annabeth attacks his hair with a comb. “I don't get why this is such a big deal to you, it looks fine.” “Of course you wouldn’t understand. You’re a boy,” she says matter of factly. As she finishes combing his hair to within an inch of its life, she forces him onto the edge of the tub, looming over him with her arms akimbo. “Alright Seaweed Brain. Because you’re clearly insistent on ruining your natural curls, I’m staging an intervention.” He doesn’t like the glint in her eye. It’s the same look she gets when she’s about to execute a particularly deadly battle strategy. All he can do is nod. Or: Annabeth shows Percy how to take care of his hair. Fluff ensues.
The healing sun
You are Asclepius. You are 9 and just want to help people. Your father is kind, and warm, and you love him dearly. Or, a look at a relationship hindered by loss but persevering through love. Asclepius and Apollo throughout the ages.
Eclipse
According to the prophecy, Will has to go to on a quest to Tartarus. According to Apollo, that isn’t going to happen, even if it means he has to break the Ancient Laws.
demand nothing less (than transformation)
Dad is quiet for a moment, stroking her hair. Then, with a surge of his usual flamboyant excitement: “At what time is your date?” Kayla blinks. She pulls back a little to look at Dad. He’s still a little blurry from the tears, but she feels much calmer now. “He’s picking me up at six. …Why?” Dad’s eyes—cobalt blue—sparkle. Literally. “We’re going to dress you to the nines.” (or: apollo loves his daughter. he also loves fashion. even better is when the two intersect.)
Bad sons
Hades turned to the demigods that were still kneeling. “I need to speak with Will Solace,” he said to the shocked room, in the tone he could have used to say “I came to ask if one of you could lend me a pen.” “Alone,” the god added after a moment, staring right at Nico. Or, Will and Nico go on the stupidest quest ever. And it’s all Apollo’s fault.
Dawn Rises From the East
During the Battle of Manhattan, Michael Yew fell into the East River; his body was never found. Two years later, a homeless kid known only as Ferret has a chance encounter that changes everything he knows.
Yuri on ice
dismantle. repair.
Viktor is standing across the street waving. Despite himself, Yuuri smiles, even as he realizes his shopping will have to wait. He waves back. There’s a man in a white coat behind Viktor. A stranger, except that he’s standing too close. A fan, maybe, or a sleazier member of the paparazzi. He’s raising his hands, and Yuuri opens his mouth to shout at him to not touch Viktor and then— And then there’s the screech of brakes as the car stops, too late. Viktor’s legs are sticking out at odd angles from underneath it. A sheen is spreading across the asphalt beneath him. Like oil. Like blood.
icebreaker
Yuuri's husband is possibly not as oblivious as he seems, because he grins and asks, "Have you never looked up Yuuri?" "There's a porn actress with the same name who went into politics," says Nate, "so she's most of the results, and some stuff about figure skating." "Some stuff about figure skating," Victor says ruefully to Yuuri.
Love Born in the Eye of the Storm
After a snowstorm cancels their return flight and all the hotels are overbooked, Yuuri decides to detour home to wait it out. He offers to let other stranded skaters stay at Yuu-topia, he just didn't know one of them was Victor Nikiforov.
Glory is two steps away
Yuri Plisetsky and Yuuri Katsuki are about as different as cats and dogs, which is to say they have no reason of ever even being acquaintances. Through a stroke of luck, as well as a couple dozen cat pictures, a tight friendship blossoms instead. On their own each skater stands out just fine, but together they shine, pushing each other past previous limits and onto the golden road of victory. Of course, there is still the living legend to worry about, but he's currently too besotted to lace up his skates, so... Or: The Bathroom Scene™, but it goes a little differently. Just enough to that Yuri has a new friend and Victor stays in Russia, but manages to pine all the same.
It ain't much, it's only everything
Yuuri read the headline - “Top Skater and Model Viktor Nikiforov Finds Soulmate!” Oh.
Avatar the last Airbender
Unpathed Waters, Undreamed Shores
The Water Tribe has kept the secrets of the sea-walkers, a gift of transformation that grants those blessed a tail and the ability to breathe underwater, away from the eyes of the rest of the world forever, and this secrecy has only become more important in light of the seemingly unending war and conquest of the Fire Nation. Sokka, as the last warrior and sea-walker in his village, knows this more than most. So when he finds himself accidentally pulled onto a Fire Nation ship, he chooses to stay aboard as their would-be "captive" rather than reveal the Water Tribe's secrets. But what he couldn't have imagined was that while aboard this ship, he'd form an unlikely bond with the exiled prince of the Fire Nation. This tenuous friendship grows into something considerably stronger the longer this pair navigates the biases created by their upbringings, the constant clash of their two worlds, and their feelings for each other. But there are still secrets and conflicts that can't be erased, and it's up to each of them to decide if they'll choose the worlds they're used to or fight for a new world where they can be together.

"You need food, Rocket. Worse than me. A hell of a lot worse than me, and I'm worried about you. We have water, neither of us are hurt, but both of us will die eventually if we don't eat. And I can hunt down one of those," he said, pointing off into the distance at a four-legged ungulate of some kind, grazing on the tough grass. "Neither of us have any weapons, genius. You're gonna just run up to it and crack it on the head with a rock?" "No," Peter said. "I'm gonna run it down and slit its throat."
