He feels a little put out, honestly. Sat dejectedly in the corner of his own sitting room watching his wife playing some sort of game with his siblings on the floor her laughter clear across the room.

Anthony rolled his eyes, “Anthony wishes we were still back in the country.”

Kate chuckled, her eyes flashing. His mother sighed. “He never did share very well.”

She knows me better than you do, so don't interrupt her.” And they’d usually get agitated especially because you were right and they caused a whole hissy fit over nothing.Cyborg!Ghost Who was now taken to your house because doctors would not leave him alone at the lab when you weren’t there. Cater probably had no idea for the longest time. Getting into someone’s personal business is totally not his style, you know?

There’s really only two ways that he’d find out: either you tell him, or someone else does. If you’re not the one to tell him, he goes straight to you to ask. He’s not just gonna believe some random rumors without confirming it!

He’s completely shocked when you do actually confirm it. Immediately he asks if you want to use any of the stuff his sisters gave him. You get some things you might’ve had a hard time finding, and he finally gets to get rid of all of that stuff. It’s a win win!

Offers to help with makeup if you aren’t the best with it. You guys are always trying the trends he sees on magicam.

“Hey, do you want to try some this new eyeliner trend I’ve seen? We’re bound to look totes adorbs if we match!”

Floyd Leech

Believe it or not, Floyd’s got a pretty keen eye when he wants to focus. He knew you were different from the other students, and that got him interested in knowing more about you.

He figures out your secret fairly quickly, but he honestly doesn’t seem to care about that part. The part he actually cared about was if you’d be willing to fill in for him at the Monstro Lounge.

That’s not to say he doesn’t care at all, but he doesn’t let it affect how he treats you. The “Floyd Special” is available to all, at no cost.

He’ll gladly roundhouse anyone that tries to give you shit though. You wouldn’t even have to ask, he does it on the regular anyway, now he can say it was for a just cause.

Silver

Like Cater, Silver wouldn’t snoop around into your personal business. Adding the fact that he isn’t much of a gossip means he’ll only know if you tell him straight to his face.

As Night Raven is an all boy’s school, of course he’s shocked at the revelation, but he’ll only ask if you’re alright with him doing so. The last thing he’d want is to make you uncomfortable while telling him something like this.

He’s walk with you to places more often, he’s already Malleus’s guard so it’s mostly out of habit. He knows you’re fully capable of navigating NRC without him, but it just puts him at ease knowing you’re alright.

Will do anything you ask him to. No matter how weird the request, he’ll do it for you. Want him to pick up an order for you? Done. Just want Sebek to leave you alone for a sec? Been there, he’ll take care of it.

   Omega lowered her voice as if she were uttering something forbidden. "Is it just me, or does she get a little bossy?"

   "A little?" Echo muttered.

   Nonetheless, the squad made their way to the back where Cid's office was. They could complain all they wanted, but the fact of the matter was they relied heavily on the arrangement they had with the former jedi informant. They hadn't said "no" to a job since their arrival.

Tech tucked his helmet under one arm as he followed Hunter to the office. His mind ran through a million and one scenarios of the kind of job Cid would brief them on. It could be anything from a complicated rescue mission to a simple delivery.  The variety of tasks kept things interesting. Tech noted how their current job as mercenaries was reminiscent of the squad's soldier days.

   Old habits die hard, I suppose, he thought.

   Upon entering Cid’s office, Tech noted the familiar figure that already stood on the opposite side of the desk, with her back facing the squad.  It was rather amazing how just the back of her head sent his heart into overdrive.  His previous deduction (and admittedly hope) was more than likely to be confirmed.  The evidence was stacked in his favor.

   “Oh, here we go,” Echo muttered under his breath, though he was close enough for Tech to pick up on the sly amusement in the Reg’s tone.  Tech knew the comment was aimed at him.  His admiration of ________ was not the best-kept secret. 

   “__________!” Wrecker exclaimed her name in pleasant surprise, walking right up and giving her an affectionate nudge in the arm.  “Are we teaming up again?”

   “Woah, there,” Cid shook her head before ________ could utter a response.  “You’re getting ahead of yourself there, Muscles.  I haven’t even started the briefing yet!”

   Tech clamped his mouth shut as well.  As much as he wanted to put in his two cents, he’d learned from experience dealing with Cid that it was best to just wait.

   “Now that we’re all here, let’s begin.”  Cid leaned forward to reach across her desk and activate a holomap.  “There are two phases to this mission, so listen carefully...”

   Of course, Tech kept one ear on the briefing.  He took mental notes and even recorded vital bits with his gear.  On the other hand, his eyes kept flickering back to ________.  Wrecker was most likely accurate in his assumption that she would be accompanying the Bad Batch on the latest mission.  They’d already teamed up several times since striking up the deal with Cid.  Tech wasn’t sure why it came to be.  All he knew was that the Batch’s success rates significantly improved when you were accompanying them.  

   He remembered first meeting you.  It was actually right there in Cid’s office.  He’d never seen you around the parlor before, and your arrival was still a mystery to him.  The Batch had been summoned for a mission, much like they were currently.  But of course Tech did some research on her initially.  The Republic database told him that you were a former bounty hunter- not widely known, but widely enough to end up in the database.  Still, it didn’t quite satisfy the desire to learn more about her.  It didn’t come close at all, really.

   So Tech made up his mind to learn what he could by engaging in conversation.

   He learned quite a bit:  how she liked her drinks, where she was from, why she became a bounty hunter in the first place, and why she quit.  He learned that she was quite intelligent and capable in a fight.  He found out that she was strong and had a kind heart.  He discovered that she despised the Empire and had a secret love of his piloting style.

   His conclusion?

   He was in love with her.

   Oh, and she was currently talking standing in front of him.  Speaking to him, no less.  The others were clearing out of the office.

   You tilted your head, brows furrowing as your concern for your friend increased.  He had been unusually quiet during the briefing.  Normally, he’d throw in a comment or two despite Cid’s scolding.

   “You okay?”

   Tech blinked.  His mind seemed to be reeling.  “Yes.”

   “Good,” Cid interrupted.  “Because the briefing’s over.”  She nodded her head in the direction of the door, and you followed Tech out.  Once you were out of earshot from the trandoshan, you gave Tech a gentle nudge.

   “Are you sure you’re okay?  You were pretty quiet in there.”

  “I was simply considering the data Cid provided us with for the mission.  She has a habit of leaving out significant details.”

   You chuckled, lifting the helmet tucked under your arm.  You clipped it onto your belt as you walked.  “That’s true.  Makes me wonder what helpful information she decided to leave out of the briefing this time.”

   Tech’s eyes flickered to yours in a knowing look which you returned.  “Indeed.”  The shared gaze nearly made you shudder.  Little did you know that you had the same effect on the soldier.

   “Well, at least we got this assignment together,” you pointed out, brushing it off.  “That way, we can watch each other’s backs.”  As a former bounty hunter, you were used to completing jobs on your own.  You preferred this- having a squad.  Watching their banter and interactions in the parlor, it was plain to see that it was a family.  

   It was a family that you were starting to feel a part of.

   “Hey _______!” Omega hurried up to you, her eyes wide with excitement about the mission.  “I want to show you something!  Tech, you’re part of this too.  Come on!”

   You stole a curious look, to which Tech responded with a shrug and adjusting of his goggles.  Oh, you knew that look.  That was his attempt to look casual, indifferent.  He and Omega were definitely up to something.

   “What’s all this about?”  Omega took hold of your hand and gave it a tug.  “Alright, alright.”  You laughed.  “I’m coming.”

   She proceeded to pull you the whole way out of the parlor until you boarded the Havoc Marauder, with Tech in tow.

   “Since you’ve been on so many missions with us, Tech made sure that you had a space to call your own!”

   You looked at the top storage rack incredulously.  The last few times, you’d taken to finding a decent place on the floor in the back or perched in one of the passenger seats simply because space was so limited aboard the Marauder.  This was definitely an upgrade.  You looked between the enthusiastic child and the once again unusually-quiet, goggled genius.  “How’d you manage this?”

   “This was previously my rack, though it has been noted that I tend to sleep in the cockpit anyway.”

   Your gaze softened.  “You didn’t have to do that.”

   “Correct, but I wanted to.  Like I said, I prefer to sleep up front.  The space should not go to waste.”

   “Well, thank you, Tech.  Really.”

   Tech watched with a small smile on his face as you set your gear on the rack, listening to Omega talk excitedly about the mission.  You’d appreciated the gesture, as he’d hoped.  

   Just seeing the way your features softened in genuine gratitude and how you smiled at being welcomed in an unofficial way as part of the squad...it was worth it.  

   Tech came to realize that he’d do whatever it took to see that smile.

“Ay, muñeqita!” Chucho chuckled as his two-year old granddaughter waddled her way towards him with open arms and a big, dimpled grin, her Winnie the Pooh costume on. Valeria and Javier were right behind the baby girl as they reached the older Peña waiting on his back porch, Chucho lifting Gabriela into his arms. “Quien eres tú, mija?”

“Pooh bear!” She proclaimed proudly, pointing at the red shirt over her fuzzy yellow onesie.

“Ah, sí, sí. How silly of me to not recognize you,” he shot Javier and Valería a smile before welcoming them into his home. “Are you going out trick-or-treating?”

“Yeah,” Javier pulled up a seat at the kitchen table, sitting down and welcoming his wife onto his lap. “Gotta get her fed first so she won’t scream at me for not letting her eat all her candy.”

“Smart,” Chucho carried his granddaughter over to the kitchen where he was making albóndigas, Gabi’s face lighting up at the sight of her favorite food, bouncing in her abuelo’s arms. “Cálmate. I’ll get you a bowl.”

“Rápido, abuelo,” she urged with a grin, Chucho chuckling as he walked her over to her high chair and sat her down.

“What do you say we make this a quick Halloween? Not like she’s gonna remember it,” Valeria whispered in her husbands ear, Javier’s grin growing wide as he listened to her mischievous tone, his hand rubbing her hip. “I wanna get home and show off my costume.”

“I didn’t know you bought a costume,” he turned his head and as soon as he saw her wicked grin, he realized that this was the sort of costume only meant for his eyes. “Ohhhh, sí?”

“Mmhm,” she leaned down and kissed his cheek, Javier grinning wide as he watched his daughter use her spoon to shovel in her soup, dancing in her seat.

“You two gonna eat or just sit there?” Chucho asked as he walked over his own bowl and sat down beside his granddaughter. Javier tapped her hip and she got up, sitting down in her own seat while he went and fixed them two bowls, bringing it back down before scooting close to her, leaning in to whisper.

“I say we skip it altogether. Stick Chucho with Gabi for a couple hours so you can show me this costume you speak of,” he suggested, his hand on her thigh underneath the table. Valeria chuckled and rolled her eyes, shaking her head.

“No, you can wait.” He shook his head.

“No, I really can’t.”

“You wait and I’ll not only wear it for you but I’ll also let you take it off,” she bargained with a raise of her brow, Javier licking his bottom lip and nodding.

“How many years has it been now? And you two are still like two teenagers. C’mon, eat your food.” Chucho ordered and both of them let out an embarrassed “yes sir” as they turned away from each other and down to their bowls, snickering like a couple of kids. “Muñeca, your parents are silly, aren’t they?”

“Mama and dada wrestle at night,” she babbled through a hardly understandable sentence, Chucho gasping when he finally pieced it together.

“Malo, Javi!” Javier chuckled and gave Valeria a wink, watching as she covered her blush.

“Nothing scarier than that image, huh, pops? Happy Halloween.”

I finally had the chance to play this for the first time since I discovered it back in 2013. Thank you Steam and JAST BLUE!! I absolutely fell in love with these characters (Not Mink). So yeah . here are my *unedited* thoughts on each route!

Noiz 

Stoic, tsundere, lonely, rich kid | Woof. Had to start with his route, cuz I had a crush on him in highschool lol. He’s a brat. And i’m here for it. Him randomly kissing Aoba was so unexpected and strange, but like he’s so unsocialized so- I didn’t mind it (i’ve seen people theorize that Noiz may be autistic¿) Noiz buying all the food in Platinum Jail? Sweetie? He likes sweets? Lemme feed you? Sweetie? Sweetie? His snarky comments? <3 Pissed me off a few times, but it was his defense barrier, and once he could feel again after Aoba used Scrap on him nghghnghghghg yes . the bloody bad end was hot but god it felt so wrong,, and even the other bad ending had them together too,, it really made me click the puzzle pieces together that Noiz really wants to BE with Aoba- and gggggghghhbghhg . and NOIZ GOING AWAY FOR 3 MONTHS AND COMING BACK IN A SUIT WITH AN ESTABLISHED JOB AND WANTING TO BRING AOBA HOME TO GERMANY SO THEY CAN LIVE OUT THEIR LIVES THERE??? Wow. Chef’s kiss. SOMEONE APPEARED ON THE SCREENS WHEN THE TOWER COLLAPSED??? WHO IS THAT?

Bad End 1: we’re trapped. In silent oath together. omg he just WANTS to be with Aoba ;;

Bloody Bad End: well this is hot,, but god it feels so wrong . they deserve better than this

Good End: Chef’s kiss . moving to Germany to live their futures together? Let’s fucking gooooo . Couldn't stop smiling when this end card hit me

Koujaku

The charmer, hot head | Being honest, he’s the Husbando material choice lmfao , super sweet. Such a bro . his confession was super sweet . I liked breaking him out of his mentality that he wanted to die due to his past mistakes. But we aren’t our past mistakes and i’m glad that he was able to move past that. AOBA LETTING KUO CUT HIS HAIR?? Adorbs. Kay, but the BAD END? SHIRO-AOBA? WOOF . With the white hair and all hoh ,,,, WHO IS THIS PERSON ON THE SCREEN WHEN THE TOWER FALLS?! . Aoba said it felt like someone was guiding them through the tower???????

Bad End: SHIRO-AOBA?! Woof.

Good End: Wholesome good shit . 

Clear <3

Love of my life, baby, adorkable, golden retriever boy | Clear, my love . I fell head over heels for this boy. (oh no he’s hottttttttttt) . Thought he was strange but in an endearing way at first- and then I fell. THE SCENE WHERE CLEAR LETS AOBA SEE HIS FACE FOR THE FIRST TIME? My jaw dropped. Excellent. His BEAUTY MARK, the MOLES? Ohhmnyogdddddd <3333333 THEM TOUCHING EACH OTHERS FACES? shit brought me to tearsssss. Aoba and I both said he’s beautiful at the same time ;; Clear questioning his purpose and all aaa . it felt so genuine and grounding talking to Clear. i enjoyed every conversation with him. CLEAR NAKED IN THE APRON? My jaw dropped here too. It was so unexpected but shiiiit my boy’s caked upp . Aoba’s reaction had me in tears laughing . CLEAR BEING ON TOP OF like OPAL TOWER OR SOMETHING AND AOBA’S LIKE DAFUQ ARE YOU DOING,, plzz spare me <3 WHY DIDN’T PLATINUM JAIL HAVE AN AQUARIUM??? I wanted to take him to an aquarium goddammit,, his heroic sacrifice,, my sweet baby aaaaa . I wish I wasn’t spoiled that he was a robot,, thanks guys lmao. I was an absolute mess during their sex scene- Clear slowly dying and them just touching each other and talking,, knowing that Clear’s clock was ticking that whole time,, and not knowing when he would shutdown hhhh and then his eyes lose color. holy fuck - I was a crying mess. Him being repaired for a whole year is insane. I can’t imagine that pain of “what if he walks in right now?” for that long. And my god. That end card and then the song kicking in and the credits rolling made me cry start crying AGAIN. HIS BAD END??? AOBA’S LEGS? MAKING AOBA LIKE A DOLL WITHOUT AN ESCAPE? Ghgdfjkas;lf “as long as Clear’s happy” . Clear’s hot asf kill me . AND THERE THAT PERSON WAS AGAIN . WHO IS THAT ON THE SCREEN WHEN THE TOWER FALLS FFS WHEN WILL I KNOW 

Bad End: ohmygod where are his legs- C-CLEAR?? ffs it’s hot in here *screenshot*

Good End: The best end. He's literally perfect. Nothing can top this. idc. legit would marry him

Mink

Thoughts before: I’m going to nitro-skip this whole route. Not looking forward to hanging out with this guy. 

Spiritual, stoic, impossible to get along with, biker guy | I’m an hour in and I crave death. We’re apparently going to this industrial-looking area in Platinum jail? -okay. The greeting panda said “adult activities” happen here. spare me .alright, 2 hours in, UPDATE,, oh my god the club scene,, not a fan of that sex scene. that was hard to watch,, but baby blue drunk/high on the light drugs was soo cute. Aoba saying “ someone’s watching me, whose eyes?” does he mean his Scrap self? Or that mystery screen person????? Hgnghghghhg . god it’s so awkward around Mink now . spare me. he bit my hair and then raped me. “Oh, maybe it has an underlying meaning” BABY BLUE I’M- expressing my disdain for this route . i’m bored . the way Mink treats Aoba makes me sick. Kicking him and punching him,, it’s sickening to watch and listen to. OH SHIT AOBA’S SCRAP SELF IS HERE “i’ll grind your brain into dust” YESS BABY BLUE GET HIS ASS. fuck the elevator, we’re taking the BIKE. ohmygod we got to see some of Aoba’s past!! Aoba wasn't even aware of the "crimes" he was committing. Like not realizing just how powerful he was, and he'd fuck people up in Rhyme. SLY BLUE . did Toue just use his voice on Mink??? oh nvm, it's not Scrap. Ohmygod getting the good ending is so excruciatingly long ohhhhhmyodddda. Wait Aoba said that it was supposedly Mink’s men who blow up the tower? Was that the plan for each route??? I’ve noticed 2 grammar errors in this route and none in the others. Seems like the devs don’t care about Mink either lmfao. Ohmygod WHAT? the person on the screens that appears whenever the tower collapses DIDN’T appear this time??? HWA???? Oh, we’re just on a fucking plane now searching for Mink. fanTASTic. “ i searched the world looking for him” Aoba . what the actual fuck- it’s finally over. The good end song was the best part of this route.

Bad End: Well, that was quick and oh- Aoba’s decapitated, sick 

Good End: Ohmygod it never ends.

Virus/Trip

Thoughts before: waiting for their sex scene tbh,, the snake and lion? Hhhhhh, supposedly we learn more about Aoba's past in this route?? Hmmm. These two appear here and there near the beginning, but you don't know much about them. But they say, "We're your biggest fans" to Aoba? What the hell does that mean??

Started this playthrough from the beginning this time, instead of at the warehouse (like I did with Koujaku, Clear, and Mink). So, Aoba's an experiment (: and the person who has been "watching" him, and the one who appears on the screens in Platinum jail when the tower falls IS AOBA'S BROTHER. Holy shit. The twins wiped Aoba's mind because they were working with Toue and had access to like mind control shit? Nice.

*openly admitting how hot their sex scene is, I have no regrets. I've waited years to see that scene in context, and it was beautiful*

Ren

Thoughts before: apparently, this route gives Aoba’s backstory??? This is the “true” ending, so we doing it last boiz.

Piggybacking off of the Twins' route, and going from the containment testing room- I know this is considered the TRUE route, but idk it felt like it went by pretty quick? Like the way it was paced was a bit too quick? I can barely remember what happened. Something about a virus that was implemented into the Allmates from Toue that would start infecting the owners and Toue would use that as one of his methods of "brainwashing". Aoba accepting Sly Blue-and then Ren as his own being/entity and him somehow becoming human at the end? I don't fully understand it, but ya know, it was wholesome, so it passes

Bad End: Oh, he's eating us- 

Good End: Wholesome, precious. Aoba's happy, Ren's happy. I'm happy

Final Thoughts

Overall, this game was so much more than I expected. I had such a blast experiencing everyone's routes. Going from Clear's route to Mink's was a death sentence. The different route ending options was such a nice touch. Thank you Jast Blue! (I had the nsfw patch- obviously). I knew I absolutely had to 100% this, and I did. I absolutely fell head over heels for Clear.

I seriously hope Jast will release Re:Connect in English on Steam. Because I will be there. (I've already watched Clear's route in Re:Connect, but I wanna play it lol).
