You are, and definitely can be loved, just because you are asexual doesn’t mean you won’t find a partner.

I’ve had many people tell me that I won’t be able to find love because of being ace, I can tell you with 100% certainty that even though people say you won’t, doesn’t mean it’s true.

I’m saying this for everyone who needs to hear it. Being asexual does not limit your romantic love life, if people won’t date you because you’re asexual then they obviously aren’t that great of a partner anyway (after all, relationships aren’t primarily about sexual attraction,)

looking back to it my asexual awakening was in middle school even though I didn't have a name for it back then. when I was about 13 I heard some people in my class talking about a couple (that may have been real or fictional, I have no idea) and they said that these two people got married but they had separate beds and even separate bedrooms. and I was so SO incredibly excited to hear that. I was all like, "wait, you can do that?? that's amazing! I knew that would be a thing, because that makes a marriage so much better, doesn't it? I don't know why most people don't do that! It's stupid that they have to share a room for no reason!" and my friends said "no, that's weird. and it means that your relationship is not working out." so I argued my little butt off trying to defend how real that couple's love is because it has nothing to do with sleeping together and just because they don't doesn't mean that they don't want to be by each other's side forever. because in my mind maybe they just don't like sleeping next to other people. maybe they get too hot at night. maybe they move a lot in their sleep or snore or one of them likes getting up early while the other sleeps in. and by that age I did know what sex was, I just figured it was something some people did, not everyone. so it was stupid that all married people had one bedroom. that made a lot of sense in my head, but my friends looked at me like I'm crazy. then I went home to tell my mom the exact things to which she just laughed and told me I would get it when I get older. well I'm 19 now and I would still love to marry someone I love and have separate bedrooms so, guess that didn't work out the way you thought mom
