hello baby!!! how are you!!! how are you feeling about this new season, give me all your thoughts
Hii 💙 I’m good thank youu, tbh I haven’t been keeping up with much football wise recently bc I’ve been abroad and also havent been on twitter for a while so I’m feeling a bit out of the loop lmao.. bernardo yearly saga seems to have no end and it’s acc upsetting bc I genuinely love him sm and while ik not everyone sees it this way to me it seems like it’s the last thing someone like him would want for the end of his time at city. While I understand the response to an extent I rly don’t like how a lot of city fans have this tendency to immediately slander players who decide to leave and put down their achievements and everything they gave for the club (ferran sterling etc), obvs every case is different and in some cases it’s more justified than others but still.. and yeah all that stuff aside my feelings abt the season in general are mixed, like on the one hand the match and the way haaland has fitted in so seamlessly gives me confidence, i mean every city fan knew those predictions for him to flop were misinformed and driven mostly by jealousy but seeing it all come together as we knew it would is reassuring nonetheless, he’s young and it won’t be 100% smooth sailing ofc but hopefully it takes off a bit of pressure at least for him. On the other hand tho the squad does seem Quite Thin atm which I feel like could hurt us more as the season goes on. I’m not rly one for predictions ngl my football knowledge is sooo limited like I feel like a massive fraud sometimes, there’s much better qualified city fans than me dhshd but yeah I guess those are my thoughts🥲 ily thank you for asking

Why I believe John/Orekoto was lying about his motive in Neoplasm
Ok so double just came out and I have a lot of thoughts. When a new MV comes out I usually wait a while until I can make a proper analysis but this one is mostly going to focus on neoplasm. And in particular one thing me and my friend found particularly suspicious about John’s (Orekoto’s) testimony when it comes to the murder(s).
When Es questioned John about their murder, he responded very clearly with “Yeah it was me, I killed them off”. And after that Es questioned why he did it, only to say that he did it only because they were annoying him and it was whoever was walking by. Es goes quiet at this which might imply to me some sort of suspicion on his testimony. John goes on to say that he can’t remember how many he killed because he was just born back then and his memory is kinda fuzzy.
Instantly this set off a ton of red flags for me, it just doesn’t make any sense when you think about it. Earlier on when John fronted he started acting all violent and threatened to beat up Es, who just calmly laughed it off. Es seemed to be quickly notice something was off, as their calm demeanour enacted an also suspiciously calm demeanour from John. Es then said it was strange because they assumed him to be a monster. After hearing that John instantly went back into that violent persona that they were showing as soon as they fronted.
This scene is very telling to me. John is not violent, or evil, heartless or anything like that. He’s only acting that way to potentially come out less. And be even straight up says “if I had stayed a monster… maybe that would’ve been better.” Then instantly takes back what he said by just going “…what?”
From this it’s very clear, like I said, that John isn’t evil. But then that takes what he said about his murders into question. That he only did it because he just got annoyed and killed random passers. This clearly isn’t true when you take into account the whole interaction with Es, because otherwise he would’ve attempted to kill Es the whole time and not go docile when they weren’t acting scared.
I believe that John is trying to dip back into his monster persona he made for himself here. He probably figured out that acting evil all the time wouldn’t work, and when questioned on such a sensitive topic such as the murder he just went with the option that made him the least sympathetic, and Mikoto more sympathetic in order to lower his stress levels by not telling the full truth.
As for who committed the murder/s, I’m still pretty unsure. In double it looks like both sides are perpetrators. But this also takes into account, what about those scenes of John killing the mannequins? It seems like it matches up enough to what he said in the voice drama but I don’t think that’s the smiling gun.
Milgram is an extremely complex series, and in no way should the easiest option be assumed as the right one. Unreliable narrators are a big thing in the series, and we should look at a character’s MV with how they view themselves in mind. For example, Kazui thinks himself as a monster and this is especially prevalent in Cat, where if you’d take it at first glance you might assume that he’s evil or whatever, just as he views himself.
The same should apply to John as well. He wants to believe he’s a monster in order to protect Mikoto from more mental stress about his murder, and might end up with him fronting less. This likely subconsciously played itself into double and even MeMe, where John portrays himself as evil as that’s what he wants people to view him as.
I feel like when discussing who’s the murder and if John is evil, we should definitely take this into account otherwise our future opinions will be biased.
Ok so someone just mentioned the fact that he had a baseball bat in the first place means it was likely a premeditated murder. So him killing people just because they annoyed him would be a really weird thing to say because that would’ve been an impulsive murder, and he had a weapon at the time.

Shrub Club: Episode 2
Demetrius walks all over the castle grounds to make sure he finds the perfect location for the Shrub Club’s greenhouse. The duo comprising of a Hufflepuff and a Gryffindor got all the paperwork out of the way so that Meech can finally claim a location for their own meeting space.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
It is right outside of the main Herbology building in a small secluded area. There are no flowerbeds here that would be destroyed nor are there trees in the middle to take down. Just some beehives to the side which can even be helpful depending on what they decide to grow. Having spent quite some time in this location, Demetrius comes to a conclusion that it does get plenty of sunlight as well, unlike the area right underneath that he considered first.
The farmer boy has all the instruments needed for building with him. Although he has never constructed something like this on his own before, he helped his gramps plenty of times. This should not be hard considering that all of his club members volunteered to help out as well. Meech feels rather relived at that: his magic is only good for certain things, practical things. There is no Quidditch practice this weekend so the Gryffindor is set on finishing his part of the construction in two days.
He places charms on the instruments, commanding them to do as he wills. Some of the stone and wood he had already levitated to this area during his preliminary observations of the grounds. Stone goes for the base, and wood — for the building frame. It might look rather basic and but with the help of others the greenhouse would surely flourish. The glass and the decorations? Some protective charms? Maybe even something that can make the inside of the greenhouse bigger than the outside? He is sure that the girls will have it covered.
Having talked to @theodoradevlin @ask-wren-zhang and @justmagnoliaellistor he approximated their skill sets. Theodora talked about letting nature provide the beauty and Meech is curious as to how that can be achieved. Using wood-like plants in the construction? The vines that take over the wooden posts and swirl around like those solved Merlin Trials structures? Theo also wondered if she can use Glacius to freeze window panes out of water since they cannot really afford all that glass. Wren mentioned that she is rather good at furnishing (that would help cover the inside of the greenhouse) and can even bring refreshments. And Magnolia talked so fondly about flowers in one of her letters that Meech is sure that her sense of beautify and experience with taking care of an actual garden back home would come in handy. The wizard wonders how different Magnolia’s garden is compared to Theo’s grove or what he and his gramps grow on the farm.
The Gryffindor doesn’t feel like he has the right to tell people what to do even if everyone involved offered to help. They can all get together and see what it is they want to grow, what plants would go where. Would they want a small area with a table and chairs where they can sit and discuss things? Maybe a separate terrace on the outside or a porch as part of the greenhouse overlooking the valley below? They have to figure out and get the right soil and fertiliser for the seeds, sprouts and saplings they’d plan to get. How would the watering system work, ventilation, heating in winter? They certainly need to do more research, a lot of it probably charms Meech has never heard off. And there is the question of the greenhouse decorations, of course!
Less thinking, more doing: Demetrius gets to work.

do you think we're gonna be getting 'here's how it's unfeminist to critique Barbie's failings/flaws as a feminist piece and it's lack of intersectionality' thinkpieces?

Book Review: Rules for Loving Haunted Girls
—by Jacquelynn Lyon
This is an adorable set of 3 short stories about girls falling in love: “The Waitress and the Werewolf”, “The Phantom in the Lavender Field”, and “Paper Girl”.
Each of these stories is delightful. The characters pop off the pages, and the relationships don’t feel forced (which can be tricky in such a short space). I basically read each of these in one sitting: the plots & character dynamics are so compelling (even the longest, “Paper Girl”, which is nearly half the book!).
This collection proves, once again, that romance is a genre for me, if it’s about lesbians* in spec fic. I’ll have to keep an eye out for more by Lyon.

The concept of Wandavision would’ve worked so good with Loki.
Like he’s running from the TVA and trying to figure out the mystery of the timekeepers, so he basically takes an apocalypse timeline hostage to use as his safe spot and base of operations, and enchants everyone there to think they’re living in a perfectly normal suburban town…. all the while the literal end of the world is approaching and there’s the whole creepy existential mystery element of him trying to piece everything together about the TVA.
Sylvie can be his accomplice and she comes and goes from the “hex” (more like a big enchantment bubble filled with illusions) to help with the investigating.
Mobius is the only person inside the hex besides loki that knows it’s not real.
The entire time the TVA people are trying to find them, and B-15 is the one that figures out the hiding in apocalypses thing (cause she’s smart af) but she doesn’t tell Ravonna cause she’s secretly on their side.
Loki and Mobius are playing the part of 2 small town detectives trying to bust a big criminal organisation, but as the show goes on it’s revealed that they’re actually trying to bust the TVA.
It’s like a creepy sci-fi mystery type thing, because for the first few episodes the audience doesn’t even know what’s going on and genuinely believes the buddy cop storyline.

for the oc ask thingy Austrat!!!! afsdgads it's so hard to choose the questions ywy i wanna know SO MANY THINGS
ok ok let's narrow it down to 5, 15, 29..... oh and G & H <333
i love how you chose him of all my OCs, the guy I'm playing as in my first bg3 run :')
*slaps Austrat* this purple warlock tiefling can fit so much religious trauma and gay yearning in him, he has hands down maybe one of the most traumatic backstories I have written aside from Meomy that is and maybe that would explain why he immediately felt a connection with Astarion
5. How easy is it to earn their mistrust?
very easy, his very first instinct is not to trust at all and once someone breaks his trust in any way possible he won't be able to trust them ever again
one thing that needs to be known however is that he values loyalty above all else and once someone gains his loyalty he will be devoted to it
15. How do they speak? Is what they say usually thought of on the spot, or do they rehearse it in their mind first?
he is very calculating about everything he says, he does come off as charming though. but also more often than not he deceives, doesn't like to talk about personal things and speaks half-truths if needed. In short: most of the things he says have been rehearsed in his brain a million times before, that it started to come to him naturally now. (all im saying is: he is a pathological liar)
29. Do they usually live up to their own ideals?
his ideals are very in the morally grey area tbh. all he strives for is staying in control of his own decisions, providing his fey archon with little treasures and mysteries for entertainment and helping out wronged people. and if he has to kill for any of those? he will
but also what can i say :') it's hard to say what ideals one has when they are very dependent on whims...
G) What trait of theirs bothers you the most?
i think all his "ooh im so mysterious and untouchable" behaviour would kinda piss me off. id kick him in the shin for that, but only if i didn't know where he is coming from..... which i do... and i wanna give him a pat and tell him everything is gonna be ok, you will get your revenge
H) What trait do you admire most?
i think i admire how free spirited he is, he is trying his utmost best to let go of the past and enjoy the present moment, he does not think or worry about the future so much and i think all of this is admirable in a way

The people we played with really liked doing puzzles, but no one could ever figure out any of their puzzles because nobody could ever think the way they did. The clues and puzzles made no sense, unless you thought the way they did and had the same mental cues about concepts that they did, and if you don't, then the clues were meaningless
Paraphrasing slightly, BSG go into the issue they had with the 'World Loops mystery', the way Daymon describes it is on point and got me thinking-
Just like a few of Ouma’s comments - particularly ‘everything is connected’ and ‘infinite possibilities for lies’ - this rings true for the academy’s mystery as well as the loop issue in the Virtual World, though in different ways- in the loop case it's about the player being too ahead of the game's roundabout logic on one... absurdly simple concept, but in the case of the game's overall mystery (that it wants you to interpret for yourself), it's about the game's logic and concepts being so roundabout to the point that it causes the whole scenario to... break
In both cases, it doesn't click why the game would be meandering on one odd thing or another when you've already internalised what your answer is, thus bits and pieces of evidence hold no real meaning to you even if there is a logical pattern to them appearing that way. Though you can come up with an answer to how that logic happened- for example the reason why characters were complicating the issue of the Virtual World to themselves is because they’re instinctively trying to translate their real-world experiences and senses to a computer game. They’re doing it this way because they were primed to do so
That of course is why Ouma bashes out the ‘throw out your common sense’ line when Kaito objects to the loop idea- he noticed that Kaito was trying to bring ‘real world sense’ to ‘computer game sense’. It’s not that computer game logic by itself isn’t common sense, it just isn’t the characters’ lived common sense, which is why it doesn’t register at first. It’s worth noting that Ouma says a similar ‘common sense’ line regarding an organisation to Kaede, so if the game’s convoluted mystery had something to do with that, you have the issue of ‘priming’ all over again- because it’s nonsense unless you have an idea of what to connect the organisation to, as well as the hows and whys (for instance, if the organisation actually is TDR, and why it’s masquerading as a game show)

We'll forever have the scars
x. you take everything from me.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
She wants to see you, she knew that. She just had no idea what to say.
Just fucking stop, and he asks that of her as if it’s so easy.
It should be. Sophie knows it should be.
“It’s just dinner.”
“I’m on shift.”
“I know.”
But it hangs in the air, until Sophie lets the sword fall upon her own head. “Dinner then. I’ll switch off with someone on cover.”
She hears the delighted laugh in Rhaenyra’s voice. Sophie hangs up the phone, leans against the shelf in the dark of the linen closet.
She shouldn’t have to stop, even if he asks. But Aegon wasn’t wrong, he kissed the palm of her hand and he asked her to stop and she thinks she wanted to, in that moment she wanted to. She believed in that moment, it would make sense.
Aegon asked her to stop, so this is her trying.
We'll forever have the scars. @ AO3.
It's been a good ride, who knows where it goes from here.

My 9 favourite shows:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
These are in no particular order but if I had to name my top three it would be Moon Knight, Good Omens and Forever simply for the insane amount of times I‘ve watched each of them (at least four times)
Moon Knight: just the superior mcu show like ever and Moon Knight is such a great character in general I‘m incredibly obsessed (let‘s not talk about my two (2) moon knight cosplays)
Good Omens: do I even need to explain this one?! I don‘t even know how many times I‘ve read the book, but definitely more than I‘ve watched the series
Forever: this show is so underrated and it‘s been nearly ten years and I‘m still mad that it never got more than one season
Avatar:The Last Airbender: this whole show is just a masterpiece
Supernatural: Definitely watched it earlier than I should have and traumatised me for life but it‘s still great (let‘s not talk about the later seasons tho)
Legends of Tomorrow: I just love this bunch of time traveling idiots who just keep messing everything up even more instead of actually fixing things
Young Justice: Can you tell by now that I like superhero shows? Nah just kidding, I just really like this combination of characters and like, dc is actually pretty good at animated shows/movies
Raganrok (the norwegian show on netflix): Norse mythology but translated into a modern day setting?! hell yeah
Umbrella Academy: Uh, superheroes?! I‘m just obsessed with Klaus and with how different this is from any other superhero media (i mean it‘s based on comics by gerard way what do we expect?!)
Tagging: @shadow-of-a-cloud and @neverland-in-space (no pressure of course) and whoever else wants to do this i have no idea who was tagged already :)
