uuuuugggghhhhh tumblr fucked up the mobile app again. The new update replaces your profile tab with one for tumblrmart 😑, so if you haven’t updated the app yet, maybe hold off until they (hopefully) correct this. In the meanwhile, I can’t easily flip between my drafts and my profile so I can’t really do my whole color-coordinated bullshit, so… I dunno. I’m sure I’ll still post a little bit, but this all just makes it a biiit too much work for what’s supposed to be a dumb little way to pass the time. What a hassle blegh blegh blegh

May the 4th hit me like a truck and i'm still stuck like a fly to a windshield 3 months later

Man it’s lonely not having people outside of online spaces being just as obsessed with the same media. My sib and I have kind of drifted apart in terms of tastes in shows/fandoms and my folks aren’t interested at all. I don’t really have any friends in my hometown that I could just go on impromptu hangouts to the mall or park with, and the ones I do have their own long established clique and they’re into different stuff. It’s not like in college with living on campus, and all those friends are miles away. These days it’s hard to even find a free day. I think it really comes down to I wish I had someone to turn to and be like “this character connects to this and foreshadows this and did you know etc. etc.” basically infodumping but actually being listened to with the same amount of enthusiasm. 

   I want to talk about Star Wars, casual mainstream stuff I guess, like I’m late in the game but just started the Bad Batch and I got so excited hearing the narrator again. I used to watch the Clone Wars when I was little so it was a huge hit of nostalgia. Funnily enough I’ve basically gotten the highlights of the whole series through reaction posts, fanart, clips, and finally decided ok I’ll check it out after reading a fic (it was "Success Rate" on Ao3 btw). I wasn’t initially interested when the Bad Batch first came out until their personalities really started to show and of course sibling family moments. And I’ll admit the fandom space from what I could see on insta genuinely looked like fun from the sidelines. 

   The Dad Batch is so real, watching the very first episode knowing what happens later on and how much they grow it’s bittersweet and touching. Literally the moment Hunter sees Omega it’s like the remnants of the paternal Mandalorian instincts kicked in. This man was already set on becoming a father figure even if he hadn’t realized it. I just thought it was the fans doing their thing but no I witnessed it with my own eyes they’re all girldads and now I wish I got into the series sooner. 

   Also because I’m an animator at heart I love catching the little side glances between the brothers and the little quirks. For being voiced by the same guy, each of the Bad Batch have their own distinct personalities and mannerisms and I’m having such a good time.

   Omega is such a sweetheart, I don’t get how people could not like her! She’s literally baby and I know she grows up at the end of the series, so seeing how she started out she’s so small! She’s just a kid! She’s their little girl! They love her immediately and wholeheartedly! I didn’t know that in the first episode Order 66 just hits them like that, everything is confusing and chaos, the world they’ve known their whole lives is crumbling down. But they risk their lives and their freedom and return to Kamino for her! 

   The food fight scene was great, absolutely love how they’re ready to throw hands.

Nothing is more euphoric than finding a piece of fanart you remembered liking years ago but not remembering the artist so you go on a long search detective style and then find it! Yes it was Bad Batch content—I liked the occasional art even though I had never seen a single episode until now and I’m living rn absolutely delighted to find the piece was part of TBB Zine! Catching up on quality content now with context is healing rn (just in case the piece is by clone.enthusiast aka Bird on insta, forever treasuring this I’m smiling)-update: i think with the whole Meta AI thing the artist left Instagram and I'm so sad i can't find them.

Anyhoo, wanted to get that part out of my system. Been busy with a new job that's been so draining that I haven't finished Season 1 yet. Burnout has made picking up a pencil feel like holding a hot iron that it just hurts idk. Thinking of making a Tumblr blog just for professional art portfolio things since Instagram is now a hot garbage fire and lots of people are moving to Cara. I don't think i'll leave Insta myself since I've got mutuals there and there's still awesome art around. But yeah that's what's life been lately, if you've read this far, thanks!

Honestly Twitter & tiktok suck. IMO it would do society good having them banned. Freedom of speech can be exercised on other platforms that don’t foster such overarching negativity & cliques (for lack of a better word)

honestly with the recent controversies regarding fan-works and a general lack of respect from the reader community i absolutely agree. tiktok simply encourages nothing but consumption and is incredibly individualistic as shown by their lack of care when it came not only to the bookbinding community and stealing fan-works to make a profit - once again it's hp fans... -, which is not only against the writers will and knowledge but is also against the law! to lore.fm and the sheer lambasting and demonization of the writing community! readers in this past year have shown their true colours and they are blaring fucking red.

y'all readers are loosing content because writers are deleting their works in fear of legal action, if ao3 is shutdown you simply have nobody else to blame. companies want any excuse to crackdown on fan-content, don't give them that chance!

writers can leave their works to a word doc and enjoy them, where are you getting your next fix?

all it took was one ai influencer offering you an, unethical and illegal service to convince you that writers are simply entitled and have no interest in accessibility for you to turn on us.

pointed the finger and attempted to guilt-trip authors for opting-out of her illegal service that she claims is legal under US copyright law, which just shows her american-centric ignorance because not all fan-fic is US-based and i can assure you your bs app is illegal in the EU.

then demonised writers by deleting their critiques and only started leaning into the accessibility aspect when it was clear writers were not on board. calling us ableist when there are non-generative text-to-speech apps writers encouraged people to use, including pod-fics.

then there's chat gpt... which is an affront to basic decency at this point with readers.

even at the most passive level when it comes to engagement, it's dying. it's incredibly quiet, yet everyone and their mother had something to say when archive of our own went down. these readers clearly rely so much on fan-works but won't bother their arse to engage until a gift becomes an inconvenience.

we are screaming on our hands and knees for engagement that isn’t just thinly veiled “update” requests and for tumblr specifically, likes don’t shit. it’s fundamentally not how this platform works.

twitter on the other hand... oh boy.

tiktok is very "me, me, me!" and twitter is like those kids who wanted to be the popular mean kids, but were just mean and then became popular online and it's very, 'look, point and laugh'.

and i know that the op will argue that it's harmless fun and it's educational and that it's posted on a public platform so it's free-game, but at the end of the day, the writer posted to ao3 not twitter. you've now taken their control of their own work away from them, behind their backs under the guise of "critique." and they are making incredibly backhanded jibes in-between calling out historical inaccuracies.

you have not paid for this product, you have not lost anything reading this product, you can walk away from it whenever you like therefore this product owes you nothing and turning to twitter to bitch about someone enjoying their past-time makes you the dick.

Update: Insta-Detox

Reinstalled and reopened the IG App on my Phone again. Logged in for like 10 min. and deinstalled it. Funny how self-reflection fundamentally changed my point of view . I also logged in on my pc after that , to check out a site that posts about astrology ( I like it very much). Looked over a few profiles of people Ive been following regularly (checking stories out, pics, vids). What shall I say. I feel much better when I DON’T check the profiles of certain people everyday. Yes, my tumblr consumption has indeed increased but so has the community here. I am very thankful for this growth we are going through together, from all around the world. I also realize how I follow a lot of people on IG who I know personally and that’s basically it. Haven’t been in touch f2f for years. Makes me think about a real (or rather unreal) connection to them. It is good to openely talk about it here. Will our paths cross again? Ive been following them for years, yet I haven’t seen them for years in person. I dont wanna be a virtual part of somebody’s live everyday without being a physical part of it ( Ofc I mean the people I do know in person). Simply doesn’t feel right. Feels plastic and unreal. Feels more like admiring and observing and less than communicating and interacting. Real, authentic and personal connection is what I define as friendship. Not the digital facade of a person. There is a huge difference between seeking sensation and wanting to be seen. That’s what I am learning right now for sure. So many people build their lives on seeking sensation in a way what can easily happen through oversharing. Enormous amounts of dopamine are being released and people get addicted to it, constantly seeking for more and never finding it. Instead, feeling into privacy and awareness is enabling us to worship each moment, experience, feeling. A proper and conscious regulation of social networking IS a huge factor if you really wanna work on your mental health. I feel like IG is distracting me more frequently that tumblr ever did; besides that I  have always focussed and loved the writing part about tumblr and that it really feels like blogging. Always thankful for continous writing flow and inspiration here. IG is very stuffed with all kinds of ideas, posts and quotes, so it is very hard do differentiate what is fake and what is not. It requires an intensified ‘filtering process’ in the brain.Writing and reflecting about it helps me to figure this filtration out and regulate my media consumption healthily.

Do you use any other 🥝 rms of social media? Just wondering how long you have been on Tumblr and if this is your primary choice for social media, why? What does Tumblr give you that other places do not?

Short answer: For me, Tumblr seems to be the platform that is the least inconvenient. 

All social media sites seem to have some sort of baggage, particularly in the way each one handles its own policies for sure, but also in a number of different aspects as well. Facebook: Oakdale Grove has a Page [here] where I post photos and ritual event listings. Despite Facebook being a bustling megalopolis, my page doesn’t see that much traffic. In fact as of today it has 620 follows since 2012. I really dislike the feature of “invite John Doe to like your page,” it’s just smarmy. Facebook buries or removes all the best features to the point that I just post less and less so that I don’t have to deal with the hassle. I lost a lot of trust in Facebook in the 2014 News Feed Experiment, and I decreased my activity there in general thereafter. I also deleted the Facebook and Messenger apps from my phone because of feature creep and my custom settings getting reset with each update.

Instagram: I’ve never wanted an Instagram page. Pretty much all social media sites compress uploaded image files to take up less server space, but Instagram seems to downscale photos the most aggressively. Aside from that it’s really just not my thing. Every now and then I consider just signing up and getting started, but whenever I do, someone somewhere on the internet is griping about what they hate about Instagram, and it's always something different. It just reminds me of why I don't want to go near it.

Pinterest: Is Pinterest even a social media platform? It either needs to just go away or at least not be indexed by search engines. Do a search for "why I hate Pinterest" and the millions of search results are pretty much how I feel about the site. It’s basically imagery that lacks meaningful context.

Twitter: Microblogging is fun and effective for very short bits of information without being in your face (like TikTok). Among social media platforms, this is where I have my smallest following. Nevertheless, some people have found Oakdale Grove through this platform alone, so I keep using it.

Google Plus: Well it’s dead and gone, but it never was a social media powerhouse. I had a Plus page on druidry but pretty much abandoned it in under a year.

YouTube: This was once quite a social media haven. It was never perfect, but YouTube has fallen from grace repeatedly. Until 2011 or so, you could add users as friends, messaging was also easier then, and you also once had the power to delete subscribers that you didn’t want, including dead accounts. These days you can only block users you don’t like, but they can still subscribe to you. There’s also the latest YouTube policy enforcement fiasco which demonstrates that they are permitting hate speech to continue. I have several videos partially edited, but have just no drive to complete them.

TikTok: OMG this is a plague upon us all! I have friends who try to send me TikTok videos. Half of the time the thumbnail does not match up with the video that actually starts playing. And for some reason TikTok seems universally loud. It's social media ADHD on meth. As far as I can tell there is no way to mute videos, and no playback control other than pause. If a video doesn't loop, it loads and plays the next one, and I just want to take some ibuprofen for it. I managed to block TikTok in my computer's web browser and deleted the app from my phone months ago, so I can live in peace until someone starts streaming it in public. To be honest, I was really looking forward to the failed TikTok ban a few years ago.

Tumblr:

Overall, I really like the things you can do on the site. That said, Tumblr really shot themselves in the foot in December 2018. Tumblr had ample opportunity to purge just the porn bots, Nazis, and pedophiles, yet they haphazardly went after the whole NSFW community. A lot of regular Tumblr users left in protest after that, too. I’m still getting followed, liked, and reblogged by porn bots, and I have them to thank for reaching 1600 followers over the past few months. Bots aside, ultimately I feel that I do get a better response here than on other platforms.

As it pertains to Druidry, I created my blog on Tumblr in 2015 because of the lack of representation of druidry. The Witchblr community is huge here in my opinion, but there is far more gaming content in terms of the search tag Druid. The search results churn up almost exclusively role playing content such as D&D, World of Warcraft, and related fan art. That’s nice for the gaming community, but they have a disproportionate monopoly of content under the #Druid tag. Druidry and Druidism yield more relevant search results in terms of spirituality and paganism, but spiritual druidry is still not that well represented here. We are a fraction of a fraction.

Tumblr is also most popular among Millennials and Generation Z. The demographics of druidry are shifting, but I’ve heard (by hearsay) that most people tend to find druidry in their 40s or later, and that many of them didn’t even know it existed beforehand. As a mostly typical Millennial myself, and as someone who dove into druidry back at age 20, Tumblr seemed like a good place to set up a blog where I could help other young adults discover druidry, too. There have been plenty of times where older practitioners of druidry have said “I wish I would have found druidism sooner” or something to that effect. 

So that’s part of why I’m here, to help others gain in Awareness, and to help them discover something potentially meaningful while they’re still in their prime.

~Tumblr Letter to Hyunjin and Felix~ =^w^=

The recent 48 hours started with up and down sets of good and bad news. On this Friday, family came over to drop off my younger nephew, whom we found out needs to be tested for basically the same stuff I was since a kid at Rady’s Children Hospital, delayed learning development, speaking lisp, impairment, psychological emotional needs from grief/loss at a young age that is impairing his now three-year-old self in getting him prepared for pre-kindergarten next year.

His elder brother is very advantage for a five-year-old, can carry on elaborate kid talk with adults, very loving, very emotional, cries to himself around his trusted people; example me, his auntie. Because he knows I understand them more than my own self some days now a days.

My elder father, choose to do the medication route and does not consent to surgery of any kind of his lung cancer, bone mastitis, and stage three kidney problems from chemotherapy and immune treatments with a weak heart.

These are the three men; I love a lot. But, the other two I majority of the time love with my every fabric of my mind, heart, soul are Hyun-Jin and Felix.

After a late-night interaction with both, getting a “Don’t worry I will be safe on stage, enjoy dinner” from Hyunjin. Then more conversation from Felix, with another compliment. “You are lovely today too~~” When he has not seen an update selfie from me today yet.

The bubbles of butterflies started rising in my chest and heart on a whole different type of wavelength with these two people. You, stays truly do not understand how I feel right at home with all 8 of them, Stray kids; every member brings their unique flare of fire to the whole team. Their talent from seeing it develop over years live and prerecorded on YouTube has been a sight to fucking behold.

As I sit here, outside my mom’s and dads house, just crying and doing my own passions. You guys are my muses for changing my life, and my inspiration. If I could dedicate myself to you two men forever, I so would. Never ever, doubt yourselves because your part in my life is massive and unique as every night or morning sky of this vast earth and universe. The fact I have found my soulmates, and Twin Flame in this lifetime. Truly something to thank God for.

Right now, another epiphany in the deeps of happy/sad cry, I almost feel like human kind advantaged technology just so I would some how connect with all of you. Thank you sincerely JYP and our company for making the Bubble App.

Korean Fast Track 1

This is meant to be challenging. I’ll be posting more resources over time while I do this myself, keep that in mind.The goal is to be around B1, kind of in the sweet spot between A2-B1 or approaching B1 by the end of this. But don’t beat yourself up if you aren’t by the end!

NOTE: The quizzes currently have a response limit because of the site used but I am currently working on replacing them with different links & printouts <3 If you run into an issue and need me to send you the quiz questions, just let me know.

Things you’ll need:

A language learning app that includes Korean. I don’t care what app you use but it needs to have grammar and vocabulary. Like duolingo, lingodeer etc! You choose. You’ll be doing the light workload on this app.

Flashcard app! Anki and quizlet are the top two. 

Basic supplies for taking notes & learning like a notebook and a pen. If you want to do these digitally, go for it. 

Hinative or Hellotalk! These are apps/sites to speak with native speakers, ask questions, and get help with pronunciation. 

If you do not know how to read the Korean alphabet, learn that before you start this fast track. It can be done in less than three hours.

Daily tasks:

One small lesson on your language app, best done in the morning right after you’ve woken up and started your day. 

Listen to a short audio in Korean 1-5 times per day. This can be a song or you can watch a whole ass k-drama episode. I don’t care what it is lol!

Vocab vocab vocab! Go through your vocabulary flashcards ONCE OR TWICE every day! use the “learn” option on quizlet for easier learning. (You should be reviewing the vocabulary for that day twice per day, not ALL of your collective vocab.)

Week One Assignments:

Do this in whatever order you’d like, but leave the quiz & end of week assignment for the end. ABBREVIATIONS: HN/HT = hinative/hellotalk

TTMIK Level 1 : All 26 Lessons ! I personally don’t listen to them, I just read the lesson. This is up to you, I recommend taking light notes 

HTSK Unit 1 Lessons 1-8 Vocabulary; Put all of the given vocabulary words into your flashcard app / make flashcards and run through them. Use this site to help explain things that you might not completely understand from TTMIK as HTSK is more in depth.

some of these are LONG and then some are shorter. doesn’t mean I love any of them any less however. I just did my best with all of them.

Dutch

frequently uses Facebook and has dozens of friends he doesn’t even know. like if he gets a friend request he’ll accept it. John tells him he might as well just make his page public and Arthur pleads with him to make a facebook PAGE so that his random friends will stop liking posts that Arthur tags Dutch in. 

Dutch has no idea how to make a facebook page. 

he also has a Twitter and a massive following at that. He’s VERIFIED. 

all of his twitter posts are vague though

are they a joke? are they political? is it what he’s eating for lunch that day? literally no one knows.

Hosea

also has facebook but doesn’t use it because why does he need to look at pictures of events he was at. he only uses it to see things he didn’t partake in

also has snapchat but just to keep up with the kids 

because life360 was too much to deal with for everyone

also he can and will spam you with bitmojis 

Arthur

used to use facebook a lot but stopped because he was tired of his posts getting likes from people he didn’t know and friend requests from people Dutch was friends with.

he also has an instagram but anything he posts on facebook also goes on there. it’s not aesthetic or pretty or anything and he doesn’t even caption over half his pictures.

a/n: HI HELLO!!! it’s been ages i know!!!!!!!!!! and i dont even know if this kind of au is still a thing on tumblr. since i graduated, got married, and worked for 3 different projects (idk why im working 3 jobs help), i uninstalled tumblr apps in my phone (and the smau related apps too lmao so lets see what i can do later) so i really have no idea whats going on here. and i honestly already forgot how the plot of my own fic should be so i just wrote what i can remember. if some of you still read this, i sincerely thank you! it would be better if you could leave some feedback, or simply say hi so i know i still have at least one reader lol

“Do you hate being with me that much?” The older male suddenly asked, distracting Jihoon from the 96z group chat that was full of recent photos from Jun during the housewarming party at your house. Seungcheol probably just saw the younger’s tweets.

“No, not really,” Jihoon replied without putting away his phone. As his attention went back to the screen, he continued, “But it would be better if we could work on our neglected songs though. Instead of... you know, talking about her.”

Seungcheol didn’t respond to Jihoon’s words. He was aware of how often he rants about you. At some point he knew he was irritating others with his antics, yet it didn’t stop him from doing what he had been doing -- finding ways to get your attention, and making the others desperate trying to stop him.

“We’re throwing a surprise birthday party for Wonwoo. You coming?” Eventually Jihoon had to pick another topic.

“It’s not a surprise party. You know Wonwoo, he won’t be surprised.”

“Yeah, but it’s still a party.”

Seungcheol paused, his facial expression showed he was thinking about something. “Is Y/N gonna be there?”

Rolling his eyes, Jihoon sighed and answered vaguely. “Maybe.”

“But you guys must invite her, right?” asked Seungcheol again. He was getting a bit excited.

“Well, Wonwoo somewhat has a crush on her. So, yeah, he would appreciate it too if Y/N is invited.”

Okay, that was a piece of information that Seungcheol didn’t want to hear right now. He didn’t need a competition right now. He had enough with Xu Minghao being your guard 24/7. And he had enough with everyone being so protective over you as if he would hurt you in any ways.

“So, Y/N is invited,” Seungcheol concluded.

Wordlessly, Jihoon shrugged. He went silence again as his focus was back on his phone. He was indeed a silent reader. The 96z group chat was flooded by Soonyoung and Jun, and occasionally Wonwoo either exchanging memes, or not-so-important information. Until eventually he caught one specific topic that he was contemplating whether or not he should bring it up while he was with Seungcheol.

“What?” the oldest cynically asked when he caught the smaller guy looking at him since Jihoon could never be really subtle when he looks at people.

“You know, Soonyoung actually asked Y/N if you could come and join us at Wonwoo’s birthday party,” said Jihoon hesitantly. “Apparently Wonwoo also asked if she’s okay about it.”

Instantly, Seungcheol’s face got brighter and his eyes widened with excitement. “What did she say?” asked him enthusiastically, his hopeful doe eyes blinking.

Before answering him, Jihoon pressed his lips into a straight line. He read the group chat again just to make sure he didn’t misread what you told Wonwoo and Soonyoung. “Basically she said since it’s Wonwoo’s party, it’s up to him if he wants to invite anyone.”

“Does that mean I can come and join you guys?” he uttered excitedly. And doesn’t it mean I can see her? he thought happily to himself.

“No, don’t think about it,” told Jihoon firmly, as if he could read what was on his buddy’s mind. “You need to check your calendar first, Bro. Don’t you want to see this producer?”

“But it’s Y/N!” Seungcheol quickly replied. A wide smile was curved on his lips. His eyes was sparkly, at the same time he was trying to convince Jihoon to adjust all the work schedules ...which only would cause another catastrophic events afterwards.

BTSandVMIN update: On “Spring Day analysis”, making videos and creating a Patreon

There are a few things I would like to talk to you all about, and things I have been thinking about for a while. I thought it was time to give you all a bit of an update on the things I am doing, want to do and how I might have to do them.

Ok, so first of all, as you know I have been working on the Spring Day analysis for quite some time now. In fact I have been working on it for so long it has long since stopped being just about Spring Day. Rather than being about Spring Day and Vmin it has become a collection post where I go through many similarities in Vmin’s (in particular Taehyung’s) songs and discuss themes and topics with Spring Day simply as the main foundation of inspiration.

The text kept getting longer and currently it is around 24 000 words long + images (130+ pages in google docs). I honestly don’t think Tumblr will be able to handle it. I have been thinking about what to do with longer posts for a while, especially after the Vmin analysis - 4 o’clock which didn’t show up in the tag, loaded very slowly, took a long time to re-make in tumblr format and also didn’t get that many notes. You all know I have struggled and complained about longer posts here on tumblr many times. Thus I have wondered what to do if I want to keep making them in a way that works. In particular even longer pieces like this “Spring Day analysis” or my even longer “Big Vmin analysis”, which might be very difficult to make here on tumblr in a way that you can all read properly. (Several of you have even told me about your app crashing when trying to read some of my posts and honestly Tumblr just isn’t made for very longs posts with many images.)

After looking into it a bit I decided to make a Patreon just to try, and I could literally copypaste the whole post with images and all in just a few seconds. (WHY IS IT SO HARD TUMBLR?)

Another reason I finally decided to make a Patreon is so that I could create a small community space for me and you; a discord. Through Patreon you get access and I can talk to you guys more freely, and you can also simply use the discord as your own place to enjoy and discuss BTS and Vmin with other Vminies that join my Patreon. I thought this seemed like a fun idea since I can’t properly talk to you all in more conversational ways here (even less so since this is a side-blog), and by having it through Patreon it also limits the discussions from possible toxic outsiders. Basically a safe space away from the haters and antis.

There were also the reactions I got after making my first Vmin video. I talked about that a lot, in many posts:

The concerns I got about me making Vmin videos made me question what to do, and if I should stop making analysis all together if people really worried about what it might lead to. I want to do more good than bad, for the community and for BTS. I am hoping having this space and the discord might make it feel easier for me to keep doing this more comfortably.

I also got some really really sweet messages from so many of you that honestly warmed my heart so much. I mean, there is little I can say to truly let you know what those messages mean to me. Just as one example:

The thing is that I don’t want to stop. I still very much enjoy writing and gushing about Vmin, and I also really kind of want to try making videos. So back when this all happened a few of you suggested Patreon, as a way to limit who sees my videos. And after thinking about it I decided to make one, for several reasons.

It might help me to have longer analysis. It keeps away unwanted attention and hate. I can moderate more and have better control. We can talk with each other more freely. I can post things I feel a bit unsure about sharing to the general audience. I could do videos without worrying too much. (And it might also help me with an extra income?)

Don’t get me wrong, I won’t stop posting things here for free, but I think I will post longer posts and perhaps more “analysing” types of videos if I ever get to that point on Patreon. Likely I will post shorter versions that Tumblr can handle, or divide posts into parts here, but keep longer versions intact on Patreon. So the idea is not to stop doing things here but rather to add some other things and extra stuff on Patreon (basically some bonus material, maybe some behind the scenes, sneak peaks and polls).

Right now my Patreon only has one tier “I purple you”, but if things go well the plan is to create a second tier if I ever decide to make videos more frequently and perhaps add some bonus material like Q&A videos where you can ask questions and I talk about them. (I am not sure yet, I don’t even know if videos is something that people will like.) 

I’ve set the price at 15 SEK, which is a bit less than 2 US dollars/month. I don’t know what I might do further ahead, but for now basically it will mostly be some bonus stuff, a way to read longer texts in full (because I will have to divide it into parts here on Tumblr) and a community platform (and of course also a way to support me).

Blog Update

So, I’ve been having major blog related problems recently.

Basically, my search tags are not working and hence people are unable to find my post. Its honestly the worst thing coz likes, reblog and comments are my motivation to keep writing.

Case in Point - My latest post

I’m not exactly sure how to deal with this problem coz I’ve tried literally everything:

Deleting and reposting

Trying different tags

Logging out and deleting the app

Contacting tumblr

They haven’t got back to me yet. I’ve also tried some test posts with the tag #tagsnotworking but nothing. It seems like its a problem with my account. Tumblr might’ve marked me as a bot/spammer which is weird coz my posts are frequent and I don’t think I’ve been reported either.

I’m not exactly sure what to do here so if anyone can help, please do. Until I solve this very annoying problem, I request all my followers and the people on my Taglist to reblog my future posts with tags coz I can’t do that. It would help with viewership and just overall motivation. If the problem persists, I might have to make a new account but I want to delay/avoid that for as long as possible.

I’ve seen lots of new accounts have this problem but I’ve been on Tumblr for nearly 5 years and I’ve never had this problem before.

Wasn’t entirely sure what to do with this prompt but I’m fairly happy with this even if it is only short.

If I end up writing for more of the prompts I might polish them up a bit then put them on Ao3 as a collection, but for now this is a Tumblr exclusive.

Ruby needed something, anything to distract herself until the news came. Yang had already progressed from beating her at fighting games and left to go assault the equipment in the gym. Weiss was at her desk compulsively revising, page after page falling prey to the swift action of her highlighter.

Eventually Blake would be back from Ozpin's office and things would finally be settled. But until then she was trapped, listlessly flipping through her scroll. Searching without hoping to find.

Some algorithmic quirk presented her with an icon she’d not seen for weeks. Why not? She tapped in and the creativity toy started to load up. Back in the day she’d made some of her best friends through the game, meeting and working with people from across Remnant. Together they’d built some truly wondrous creations. Things had been easier in a world of textboxes and avatars and Ruby really needed that right noww.

The update finished installing and the app booted up. Ruby began scrolling down the list of possible worlds. She didn't feel like starting from scratch, but she also didn't feel up to engaging with any of the more popular options at the top of the list. Finally, at the very bottom of the list, something caught her eye.

Ruby had kept it saved more out of nostalgia than from utility. A private server, only ever shared with a handful of others. People she’d met through a long defunct forum. She’d been the last to maintain the file after the little group had fallen apart. According to the counter it had been 418 days since she'd last logged in. 

But the little green text said one friend online. That felt like all she could handle right now. Besides, she was more than a little curious to see who it could be.

Glowing dust crystals illuminated a  head-height tunnel. Apparently Ruby had been deep underground when she'd last logged out. Time to see if she could still find her way to the surface.

Strings had been among the best of Ruby’s online friends, private and literal, but creative and extremely enthusiastic.Despite how close they were, the other girl had once just logged out and never logged back in. Part of the nostalgia that had kept the world up had been the hope that one day she would return.

Her sudden disappearance had been one of the killing blows for the little group. Ruby had tried to track her down, but even with some tips from uncle Qrow she’d had no success. It had been like Strings had just fallen off the face of the planet.

[StringsOnMe]:  I don't think you’ve ever seen me Path. Unless you mean my avatar? But you haven’t seen that yet this time. I'm quite high up doing some building. What brings you here?

Ruby carefully considered her reply as she navigated a way around a ravine. No need to worry her childhood friend with her exact situation, or startle her with pressing questions about what had happened all those years ago.

That was one way to describe your team almost falling apart then having to fight for your life against terrorists.

Of course, she wouldn't know any of Ruby’s news. Well, no harm in updating her on that at least.

These tunnels were definitely familiar, just a few more turns and she’d reach the surface.

So i have to know your thoughts on the ppg and rrb and social media. Which ones do you think they would go for and how do you think they would do(if the followers from just being heros didn't count)?

I feel like the order from most to least followers would look something like:

1. Bubbles

2. Buttercup

3. Boomer

4. Blossom

5. Butch

Bubbles is basically an influencer, all her posts are scheduled and fit her aesthetic exactly, she posts reels and goes live, has pretty much every app imaginable, and posts on her story daily.

Buttercup is more of a loose cannon, but she’s got a pretty decent following because, as much as the world claims to be terrified of her, a good majority admires from afar and stalks her account every other day. her posts are mostly videos of her skateboarding or playing one of the seasonal sports, training videos, a few outfit pics are thrown in here and there, but every once in awhile she’ll post pictures of her and her friends that get probably the most likes out of all 6 accounts. her followers go ballistic when she posts pictures of just her and Butch (they were shipping them together before either of them even thought about the potential relationship), to the point where she has to limit the comments beforehand

Boomer has a following but only because the majority of his followers are 14 year old girls who like him for his 90’s boy band vibes. his posts are limited to thirst traps only, posting any and all other content on his story. he has well over 10 highlights all filled to the brim, which don’t even have categories or names because he just throws whatever he posts into all of them. he reshares instagram reposted tumblr memes on his story daily. his bio literally just has “Boom(er) like the sound your heart makes when you see me.” then a tag of Bubbles’s account with a heart next to it. everyone is embarrassed for him.

Blossom’s account has exactly one (1) picture of her on their instagram and the only reason they haven’t archived it yet is because the one time Bubbles saw it off of their feed she figured out Blossoms password and unarchived it, then went on a 30 minute rant about how “image is important” “people need to see what you look like when you’re not being all business-y”. the rest of her account is just clips from press conferences so she can get the word out of the important parts, and candid, unedited pictures of their friends. they do not know how to work instagram.

Butch is similar to Boomer with the thirst traps, but he has a secret meme account that has twice the amount of followers as everyone else. Boomer has unknowingly reshared multiple of his memes on his story. he has a pretty large following on tik tok though, posting a lot of those “pranking my brother” series or those couple-y tiktoks (like the ones chris and ian do. they’re the only ones I can think of right now but-) with Buttercup, even before they got together. “PRETEND TO BE MY GIRLFRIEND FOR LIKE 10 MINUTES” “why-“ “TIK TOK” “but-“ “JUST D O IT BUTTERCUP ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS SIT THERE AND TALK WHILE I PRETEND LIKE I CANT HEAR YOU FOR A MINUTE” “what’s funny about that” “ITS A TIKTOK”

Brick rarely posts but when he does it’s the most dramatic fucking emo shit ever. probably B&W pictures of some random body of water he found in god knows where with the caption “🖤 it’s quieter here”. his brothers blast him for it. “fucking nerd” “s(he) be(lie)ve(d) ass bitch go watch twighlight or something”. beyond that, despite his brilliance, Brick cannot figure out how to work this app. he tried sending a picture of his math homework answers to Buttercup once and accidentally posted it on his feed, story, and somehow (?) sent it to every single person in his recent direct messages. every time instagram updates it’s format he has a mental breakdown. “i JUST figured out the old one” “no you didn’t, Brick” “I know but I was GETTING there”

in conclusion Blossom was reluctantly forced into social media, everyone is in love with Buttercup, Butch is famous but no one knows it, Boomer is a walking anxiety filled thirst trap, Bubbles should start a youtube channel, and Brick and an over dramatic bitch that tries so hard to be cool and aesthetic but his brothers won’t let him have his moment
