or zoro waking you up at the crack of dawn to do laps around the deck because he heard you say you weren’t a morning person once, except he brings you coffee exactly the way you like it, every time

eventually your relationship snowballs into friendship

but now you also laugh at each other’s jokes

and sit together in comfortable silence just to be in each other’s presence

It was a normal day, you and Ben lounging together in the gardens of Auradon. You had your head in his lap as you both relaxed for the afternoon. Ben was in his own world reading a book while you daydreamed, your mind wondering to different thoughts with some being about Ben. You wondered what life would be like if you were dating but it made your heart ache so you made yourself focus on something else. You looked around the gardens but you were only faced with multiple couples being wrapped up in each other. It was like they were in their own bubbles of love, completely absorbed in the other as though nothing else existed. It weighed on you and your emotions ran high. You needed to be away from Ben before you did something that would ruin your friendship, you quickly stood up and excused yourself from Ben making some excuse you can’t even remember before nearly running to your room. Ben was left in a state of shock as he didn’t know why you left so suddenly.

While you were in your room trying to fight your emotions for Ben off you didn’t realise Ben was trying to get rid of his for you aswell. Ben had been trying to show his feelings for you for a while now. He had tried many ways without actually saying the words, this included gifting you many things that a boyfriend would only do (flowers, jewellery, soft toys, you name it), he would always be showing you love through his touch (he would run his fingers through your hair, make the hug last over the friendly amount and would even cuddle you on the sofa -sometimes in bed!) and he would always want to be in your presence yet you never caught on. It seemed as though all your friends and strangers saw the love he had for you but you couldn’t or this was your way of telling him you weren’t interested. He thought over all your interactions and instead of focusing on the lovesick glances you shared or the subtle touches his doubtful mind focused on how you always corrected strangers when they mistook you as a couple and how you would always get irritated if your friends teased you with the idea of Ben. He focused on the very small details and his mind had decided that you weren’t interested. He shouldn’t confess to you because you showed that you weren’t interest in him and that he should back off, so he did. The next day when he joined your conversation with your friends instead of putting his arm round your waist like usual, he just stood next to you. His arm longed to be around you but he had to take your feelings into consideration.

When you got back to your room after a day of school you were left confused and unhappy. Ben had been off with you today, he’d been so distant. You sulked in your room til after dinner, refusing to come when your roommates, Evie and mal told you that you should eat. It had gone dark outside and you were staring out at the sky hoping a shooting star would go by so you could wish for Ben to come back to you.

Mal and Evie quietly came back in and decided to confront you about your unhappiness. You couldn’t hold your feelings in anymore and finally confessed how you liked Ben but you didn’t want to ruin your friendship. You told them how Ben had been distant all day and all they did was turn to look at each other before lightly laughing. You frowned even deeper “this isn’t funny, i like Ben and don’t want to loose him”. They stopped laughing but still wore a smile when they explained Ben had feelings for you and he had distanced himself because he thought you weren’t interested. Your thoughts spiralled and your heart raced. Ben couldn’t like you. Could he? You thought back on everything and it al clicked into place. You finally figured out what that small shine was in his eyes when he looked at you, the shine that everyone saw and thought you were a couple because of. You stood up, your thoughts were jambled and nothing was coming out straight but you knew one thing. You wanted to see Ben. You ran out the door into the night forgetting everything, even your shoes, you just had to find Ben. Before the door shut a shout of “go get your man!” Was heard from either mal or Evie, you weren’t sure and your mind was to busy to figure it out.

You arrived quite could outside bens dorm room. You took a breath everything happening in slow motion as you moved your hand to knock on his door. It swung open to reveal a solemn Ben.

He looked the most confused you’ve ever seen him. You went to talk but realised you hadn’t planned what to say to him when you finally saw him and nothing came out of your mouth, your mind still racing. Feeling impulsive at lack of better judgement with your adrenaline at an all time high you longed forward and captured his lips in a kiss. He was quite shocked before kissing back, eventually moving so that one of his hands was on your hip and the other holding your neck, his fingers just tangling in your hair. The kiss grew more passionate before abruptly breaking so that you could breathe. You both stood on bens doorstep staring at each other, knowing exactly how you felt about each other for once.

PLSSS explain more abt harrys hores design

IM SOSOSOOSOS GLAD YOU ASK THANK YOU SO MUCH. So history of the design real quick.

These are the first designs for the disco neighlysium ponies, as you can see, Harry was not Tequila Sunset Yet. He became Tequila Sunset when i realized hes a HORSE and i can get COLOURFUL. So this was my second pass over of the draft

Nowwww for explanation of the design, I’m gonna be so honest rn a big inspiration was Bojack fucking Horseman’s face marking

His white stripe with his pink nose? Heavy inspiration of how i could adapt harry’s permanently flushed face into a horse.

His tail has also an explanation. So when there’s 2 mixed pony type couples, say like, earth pony or pegasus, i like fucking around with the secondary characteristics. Im gonna use rq an unrelated example to explain what i mean.

So some time ago (last year?) i made a twipie fanchild based on my mane 6 redesigns, and since twilight is a unicorn and pinkie is an earth pony, i gave Neat Trinkets over here a unicorn tail, even if shes an earth pony

So all this to say. As we know Harry has an absent father

I headcanon his mom to be an earth pony and his dad to be a unicorn, meaning the only thing Harry could ever gather on this man would come from the fact his tail isn’t the typical earth pony tail, i think it’d be interesting for the only thing he could ever have known of his father comes from himself in the first place yk? Something something he only really made him, he never raised him.

Plus i like the idea of since he was poor, earth pony yk? Not saying earth ponies are poor (i mean look at Stinkin Rich) but it feels like they usually lead the simpler kind of lifetstyle, so it fits!!

Moving on colour wise there’s not as much planning, i knew he HAD to be green, meanwhile his mane came on naturally to reference his Sunset aspect. But I do heavily reference all his skills with his eye colour changing based on his build

So it IS possible to have 2 cutie marks, we know this through some fuckass background character named Davenport

His cutie mark is a quill and a sofa and guess what, he sells quills and sofas. 2 very different things. So this is the point where I take some artistic liberties.

So Harry has 2 phases of his cutie mark. The first one is just a dumbbell with some small stripes at the bottom to indicate his skills (I’m a strong believer he had them prior to losing his memory). He got it while for being a gym teacher!

The second one however is how his cutiemark changed when he became TEQUILA SUNSET, because fun fact, Tequila Sunset is NOT his actual name, it’s Ironhide! Taken directly frkm here.

So his cutie mark changes while he has a 3 day bender 💀. Speaking of changes im currently making a graph of his hair, i like to think his hair was originally the colour of the tips of his hair

And as it grows it got darker, giving him the Sunset look, aka making him Tequila Sunset. Which does mean he would’ve been blonde originally but it’s a colourful cartoon horse! So it’s fine!!!

Last detail of note is his little nose freckle, its there because it Felt Right and seemed a good way to represent his bumpy bumpy nose

general info

astrid picks her name to be astrid legally when she's around 12 :) she used that name as her "viking name" back when she & the gang were little kids playing vikings vs dragons. and since it's?? a rlly cool name. when she changed it from her dead name her parents let her pick & it was all she could think of. it means so much to her.

astrid in school, all school from elementary to college/uni, is a try hard. she is going to be valedictorian if it'll be the last thing she does. if she's not at least top 3 her eye is twitching. she is also very active in sports!! track & field is her JAM!!! esp once she's at uni she does lots of field stuff!! (discus, hammer, etc!!) and powerlifting!!

when she initially came out as trans it was a little rough with her parents (they were a bit distant at first) but they got over themselves & were super supportive as she transitioned :) that's their daughter!!!

she always is wearing her headband, it's yellow & blue to match stormfly's crown. tuff & snot made it for her.

relationships

stormfly is her girl, her best (dragon) friend!! <3 stormfly brings out astrid's playful side and is an excellent confidant for her. astrid is super protective of stormfly. stormfly is in the sanctuary due to having some part of her crown (the spines that stick out of her head) being cracked (they are very important for nadders!!!) and as she healed, astrid was her human. they also both tend to be the ones reigning their friends in (altho stormfly can get carried away when she plays sometimes!!)

hiccup (hirschel) is her best (human) friend. they grew apart when they were in middle school (as did the rest of the gang from hiccup) but in high school she was the first person he revealed toothless to & she (after being convinced to NOT tell any of their parents) did not take hiccup's trust in her lightly. it means a LOT to her. their dynamic is very much like how their friendship is in the shows esp. astrid can get in over her head with how strict she can be abt how to do literally anything & her frustration of others not doing what she would do & hiccup will just dryly vibe check her. she also bluntly (but gently) vibe checks him back (think "so why didn't you?" scene from httyd 1). she's his second in command at work and is in charge when he's not there. hiccstrid is a thing for this au and they do have feelings for each other when they're kids :)

fishlegs (justin) and astrid are super close!! when they're together they're basically the level-headed ones of the group. they bring out the responsible sides of each other lol!! they're each other's confidant and astrid can always rely on fishlegs to be honest (but kind) when she needs advice. they of course have their fun but they're who they go to when they need a moment of calm. astrid is also fishlegs' go to for tasting anything he creates because while she's not the best cook or anything herself, she can give her honest opinion. also they do yoga together!!! fishlegs helps astrid relax (which he understands the struggle of given the fact his resting heart rate is always registered as a panic attack /j). they just rlly appreciate each other.

snotlout (gary) and astrid's relationship should be obvious since that's the one i've posted abt the most but they've been at each other's throats since birth. as kids they were always arguing and it's no different when they're older lol. and obviously they eventually date for a brief period due to astrid developing feelings for him. they are genuine, from both parties, but it's not sustainable for them to stya together. outside of that part, they're still super close and while they will give each other shit the whole way through, they know each other better than anyone else, much to astrid's chagrin.

astrid's relationship with ruffnut (eugene) compared to others in the gang is more strained. astrid falls into a bad habit of treating ruff & tuff like a singular entity a lot of the time (which, in her mind is because one is not without the other and are always causing mayhem together) and this frustrates ruffnut, but ruffnut isn't as vocal as her brother until she feels like she needs to be. however, she does give astrid where credit is due. if only astrid could give her the same credit in return (don't worry, astrid will learn and they do grow closer when they're older, esp once they're in uni)

astrid's relationship with tuffnut (laverne) is similar to how she is with ruff in terms of her tending to act like tuff & ruff are a single entity and not two separate ppl with lots of overlapping interests and behaviors due to being twin siblings (ha. felt). tuff, out of the twin duo, is way more talkative than ruff and he is honestly, despite his snark, very sweet. he's more himself than anyone else in the gang and is the most comfortable in his own skin and astrid is sometimes jealous of him for it. he also is the one in the gang who makes her laugh the most with his silliness, but with how quickly he relays jokes, ofc she laughs more often :)

at work

at the hidden world, astrid is very no-nonsense and is particular abt her sections of the sanctuary, which are the sharp and tracker classes! she ends up with two classes due to the switch of nadders from sharp class to tracker class and she does the primary research for the new tracker class set of dragons!! she also does a lot fo the field work! she loves going out into the woods and helping keep track of dragons and then later help with new species :) she helps tag and track!!! her least favorite thing is sitting at the front desk and having to talk with visitors. she thinks she does alright at the job but hiccup says she "can be scary." but also when she's up front it's snotlout & the twin's favorite time to bother her to get her reactions lol. she's also in charge of making the schedules for everyone by her own decision bc she hates the way everyone else does the schedules.

always has stormfly on her shoulders <3

however once she's at uni her time at the sanctuary lessens, altho she does go back full time during summers! she does work a uni job while there, tho (just either at a coffee shop or smth). after she graduates she goes back to the sanctuary but tosses around the ideas of doing other things (despite what hiccup wants but. that's for them to discuss bc she shouldn't have to do what he wants) she even considers enlisting in the coast guard at some point but decides against it. the gang eventually travel across the country to help with more dragons as well as talk in interviews about dragon conservation & stuff & she becomes one of the main spokepeople :)

HELLO thank you for giving me an excuse to talk your ear off about it, you will probably regret it <3

To be completely honest I still haven't planned anything that's worth of an actual fic (who do you take me for? An organized person? HA) but I would lie if I said that I didn't think about it a lot, so

As you know, somehow in this AU Hyacinthus came back to life and started working for the emperors

The dynamics of how, exactly, it all happened are pretty undefined as of now, but that's secondary information and it's not really important. (Maybe.)

What you need to know though is that Commodus is the one who takes him in, because of course he does. Hyacinthus is the perfect revenge against Apollo, after all, both because he's known to be his greatest love, and seeing him side against him would hurt Apollo a lot, and because, whatever happened, Commodus would always have leverage against Apollo, in a "You don't want to do what I tell you? Well look what I can do to your precious little flower" sort of way

He also uses this as an excuse to get back at Hyacinthus himself, too—something that is a direct result his festering inferiority complex and the can of worms that are, again, his feelings upon seeing the one man Apollo's name is always associated with

Hyacinthus is a better man and fighter than him even when he's brainwashed and he just CAN'T stand it

It all worsens once he sees how much Lester is still attached to Hyacinthus, and how hard he tries to get him to snap back. He never cared that much for him after all, did he?

On Hyacinthus' end this all borders less on the side of drama and more on the side of comedy LMAO

While not being able to discern right from wrong atm, as he's been coerced into absolute obedience through very shady means, he has this unexplainable feeling inside him that he really, really doesn't like Commodus (which intensifies every time Commodus starts another one of his long rants about how bad and evil and selfish Apollo is and about how he'll absolutely get his revenge) and he expresses that through little jabs he makes in his direction that Commodus can't really do anything about because they are worded in a way that makes them seem innocuous

On the other hand, he's on civil terms with the rest of the "staff", so to speak, and some even respect him because of how skilled he is (specifically Lityerses) so he does have some allies there

They don't actually know who he is though since, while he works for the emperors, Hyacinthus is never referred to by his own name, but always by some sort of epithet

(This is why Meg never made the connection either, despite knowing the myth well enough to inform Grover that Hyacinthus was Apollo's boyfriend)

It's mostly a measure they take so Hyacinthus doesn't remember his past before they're actually done using him

As for Apollo and Hyacinthus' relationship in this, it's a bit complicated, because Apollo changes his stance and tries to get him on his side the moment Hyacinthus' disguise drops, while Hyacinthus doesn't remember him. At all. So his efforts don't really work

Which results in a lot of frustration and hurt feelings

Despite this, Hyacinthus' unexplainable feelings persist. And he's very confused :)

I'm still not sure when this would be set—I wanted to either limit this to The Dark Prophecy or make it a "he appears occasionally as a spy or something until they find out who he is" thing that spans over the five books (without actually retelling the whole story though because holy shit that would be exhausting) but that's something that can be figured out later oof

Anyway, keep in mind that this is all just a result of my daydreaming, so if I actually write something concrete about this, some plot points might change!! And also the dynamics!! And the vibes in general!!! My brain is just a dumpster fire tbh so expect a lot of mental U-turns here

Like, on a deep, core level, your personality types give me the impression of someone who’s thoughtful and analytical and capable of solving problems. Tips for Actually Fucking Getting Your ADHD Medication!!!!!

First of all, some notes:

a) I was diagnosed and started my medication when I was very small. So unfortunately I cannot offer advice about getting prescribed your medication! only getting the medication you are already prescribed. I literally don't remember a time before I was taking my meds.

b) I take specifically Concerta! While I think these should be applicable to other medications as well, that's something I felt like I should be upfront with.

c) I live in the US. I don't actually know how much of this would apply to other countries. Maybe some of it? But this is specifically about the US healthcare system.

This is going to be a bit long bc I am, of course, ADHD, so I'll put it under a cut.

This post will cover two scenarios: My Medication Is Usually Covered, But This Time It's Not/Costs More Than Usual and The Pharmacy Is Out Of My Fucking Medication!!!!

I would appreciate reblogs even if you aren't ADHD to get this info to people who need it, especially with another shortage seemingly starting!

I've got a couple different situations to cover, starting with:

My Medication Is Usually Covered, But The Pharmacy Says This Time It's Not/Costs Way More Than Usual

ok this is going to be so so hard but this is what you're going to have to do:

Call your health insurance.

Every time this has happened to me, it hasn't actually not been covered, it was the pharmacy fucking something up while checking coverage.

When you get through to a rep, you're going to say this:

"Hi, my name is [name.] I was trying to get my ADHD medication from my pharmacy, but they said it's not covered, which is weird because my prescription hasn't changed and it's been covered before. I'd like to know what's going on."

If you're upset, don't feel bad about not being able to hide it. Gotta be honest, I've gotten the quickest help when I started crying on the phone...

What usually happens with my medication is that it's made by multiple manufacturers, and the insurance only covers some of them. If the pharmacy only checked one manufacturer and it wasn't covered, sometimes they don't bother to check others, and tell me that my meds aren't covered.

Even if it's not that, it is far more likely that your pharmacy fucked up than that your insurance coverage changed. I once got quoted ALMOST SEVEN HUNDRED DOLLARS for 30 days of my medication. It turned out to be a pharmacy error.

Health insurance companies may be out to fuck you over, but the people at the customer service phones are there to help you. Let them help you get your meds covered if the pharmacy won't. I once had an incredible rep who even called the pharmacy herself to make sure they ran my meds properly and started filling them while I was still on the call. Let them help you! They want to!

The Pharmacy Is Out Of My Fucking Medication!!!!

This is the problem that I was having at the end of last year which was fucking hell for me to deal with.

Some useful background for this section:

There are multiple different ratings of generics for a drug. For my explanation, we'll use Concerta. This explanation may not be entirely accurate as I am not trained in this stuff! But it is what my dad learned and explained to me while we were navigating the shortage.

Concerta is extended-release methylphenidate, but the unique thing about it is the release mechanism. It has a little hole in the end and a tiny sponge in it. Over time the sponge absorbs stomach acid and expands, pushing the medication out at a consistent rate.

There is a generic with this same sponge release mechanism! It is what is called an "AB rated" generic for Concerta because it is proven to have the exact same therapeutic effects as brand name Concerta. Insurance covers AB generics! Yay!

Extended release Ritalin is the same drug and the same dosage, but it simply dissolves in your stomach over time so it doesn't release as consistently as Concerta. It is a "Bx rated" generic. At least in my experience, insurance will not cover this without a special exemption from your doctor. This is usually a good thing, because it means your pharmacy can't just give you a Bx instead of an AB without your knowledge. During a shortage? Not so much.

So you have been informed by your pharmacy that they do not have the generic covered by your insurance. Here is what you're going to do.

1) Freak out a little bit. This is normal. Medication is important and you're not getting it. Let yourself work through it, then calm down because there Are Things You Can Do!!! Take your phone with you when you lie on the ground and cry, that way once you're done you don't have to get up to work on solving it. Getting up is hard.

2) Call your pharmacy and other pharmacies in the area. You want to find out a few things:

2.1) Do other pharmacies in the area have the generic your insurance covers? If so, you can call your doctor and ask them to send your prescription to that pharmacy instead.

2.2) What potential alternatives do they have? Ask if they have the brand name in stock (during the height of the shortage, both pharmacies my family used almost always had the brand name but not the AB generic) and if they have other generics your insurance doesn't cover. Take notes!

2.3) "Do you know what the process would be for getting one of those alternatives covered?" They may not, or they may tell you exactly what you need to do.

3) Call your insurance. Explain your situation to them, and ask them about ways to get your medication covered. I take 72mg total, and when the shortage started I was taking one each of 54mg and 18mg generic pills - by talking to the insurance, I found out that I could switch to two 36mg brand name pills without paying any more. However, this didn't help for my parents or for the times the pharmacy was out of the brand name as well. So here's the more important part: There are ways for you to get your doctor to apply to get them prescribing you an alternate generic approved. The insurance rep can describe this process to you. Take notes to get ready for the next step:

4) Call your doctor's office. Explain your situation, again, and explain that you called the insurance and they told you you need the doctor to do this thing. Ask when you can expect it to go through. Explain how you've been without your meds and it's awful and please you understand that there might not be anything they can do but anything they can do to fast track it would be incredible. Be polite, but don't be afraid to expose how badly you need this. I find it helps. Just be honest.

5) Treat yourself. This is stressful and it's a lot of phone calls, which are hard, especially if you don't have your meds. Give yourself a little treat and it will help your reward-motivated ADHD brain feel better about having to do that shit. Legitimately, my therapist told me to give myself a little treat every time I call the doctor. It's an important step.

6) Follow up. If it's past when you were supposed to get news or have your meds, call and ask for an update. Don't be afraid to be proactive in finding out the exact status of your meds. Just be polite and kind and phone reps are generally happy to help.

I genuinely hope you never need this advice. I also hope that if you do, it helps. These are just my personal experiences, so please also feel free to add any of your own tips to this post.

oooh hm. idk about Never, but ive been rotating the idea of Chalco and Aunor interacting bc the different ways they orbit around Ikora FASCINATE me, and the things that have been asked of them are very different. it would have to be epistolary i think and while i DO think i have enough primary sources to get their voices and values alright (letters from Aunor etc, and then WQCE my beloved), im not confident in my ability to do epistolary, & also i'd need something specific for them to argue about (that i also am interested enough in to litigate thru character POVs).

i've yet to decide if I'm accepting the TFS ending cutscene panel where Ikora is using strand, bc im suuuper ambivalent on Ikora using any darkness subclass- i need to re-listen to a bunch more post-campaign stuff to see how i feel about it, bc i know she talks to Mara a LOT in mission voicelines, and i think a lot of their past conflict has been over Mara's antipathy towards the Light & focus on balance over sheer faith in the Traveler (not religious Faith-faith, as we've talked abt before, bc i dont think Ikora sees the Traveler as a *god* like Zavala does- it's like gravity or thermodynamics its simply *true,* and can be explained. its not something that requires faith or sacrifice.)

but if i decide to accept that as canon then i think that would make a FASCINATING argument because Aunor has been Ikora's hunting dog for YEARS, cold-blooded killer putting down guardians who fall to darkness, and i think the sheer betrayal (from Aunor's POV) of Ikora changing her position on that would cause SUCH a crisis of faith for Aunor (what does that mean for what she's done in Ikora's name? what does that mean for how she can live with the weight of it?), and i think constrasting that with Chalco being Ikora's right-hand man (her silly rabbit / does she call you that / no) BUT without the blind loyalty that Petra has for Mara ("you are not the queen and i am NOT one of her cadre") could be sooo fun bc it wouldn't be a simple "Aunor mutiny Chalco loyal." i just dont know if Actually Writing it will provide more enrichment for me than just rotating the concept in my head.

Ikora Rey woman that you are. also inspired by the way the demon works in dunmeshi bc i think the Ahamkara should work more like that. fuck monkey's paw genie trick wishes, getting exactly what you wished for and in doing so losing part of Who You Are is so much better. the Ahamkara aren't evil tricksters they are PREDATORS they are the very tippy top of the food chain and as dunmeshi says. to eat is the sole privilege of the living. there is no moral weight to that no matter how violent and that makes the violence of it far more interesting!!!

Overlords are also sinners, they just hold more power and control compared to the regular sinner. So far there’s known to be 9 overlords so it’s a rare title

One last thing to mention, since there is an overpopulation in Hell, Heaven sends down Exorcist Angels once a year to kill off any Sinners to reduce the population. They’re only allowed to go after sinners and overlords, no one else

Anyways, the basic plot of the show is Charlie, The Princess of Hell, is trying to redeem sinners so that they’re allowed into Heaven cause she doesn’t want to see anymore sinners being killed during the yearly extermination. Like the whole idea is that even the worst people can change their ways and redeem themselves

So my idea was like, what if the Champions all died somehow and got sent to either Heaven or Hell? Or they all got sent to hell for something mediocre

Cause imagine the possibilities of what they look like, or what their sins are, even if they stay as sinners or they rise the ranks to overlords. I can see Lance or Diantha becoming an overlord and using that power to keep themselves and Iris safe from Hell (forgot the ship name famiily supremacy 🔥🔥) cause there is an overlord with two daughters in the show

I can see Lance going to Hell for killing some people cause of his job, even if it’s by accident. Cause there were three Cherubs who were kicked out of Heaven for causing the death of a human, even if it was also an accident. And idk what his new form would be

For the other Champions, I got no clue why they would also go to hell. Either we’d have to reach far to pull out something to use, or give them all a shitty quality. Like, idk, Wallace stealing money from the League fundings

You said something about being trans being a thing since one is born right could you give that some more explanation of you could? Is it like actually scientifically proven? Lately I have really been having that feeling that I don't wanna be a woman anymore and I cannot exactly put this feeling into words but I don't know if I really am trans or is it just the media influence or a phase thing and I don't want to go ahead and do it and then regret it later because to be honest I am scared of surgeries in itself. Also my country is quite conservative and transitioning could potentially mean cutting ties with maximum of my family and I don't want to take a rash decision but I have already had this feeling for quite a long while like a few years now. Could you maybe also explain how you transitioned or like how you felt before the transition and what kind of therapies could help?

so generally speaking, brain and body development happen at different times when youre in utero. this is a proven fact, which is why it is very possible that your brain and body development happen in two different ways.

for me, at least starting in puberty it was just sooo much discomfort with my body. like i specifically remember stuffing paper towel into my bra at the age of like ten bcs i hated my chest and thought i was just uncomfortable with how “far behind” i was in development. turns out it was the exact opposite and i actually didn’t want boobs at all. I was generally a pretty big tomboy as a kid too,,, so I’ve always had this more idk,, masculine side to me from birth.

however, a lot of trans masc don’t have that experience during puberty or aren’t super boyish as kids and that is also 100% fair and valid. if you’ve been festering on this feeling for years, I would recommend talking to SOMEONE about it. whether it’s a therapist or even a friend you know is going to be supportive, i recommend talking it out.

as far as therapy goes, any therapy will do but i recommend (if it’s available to you or an option) to talk to someone who specializes in queer issues. when I got diagnosed with gender dysphoria, the therapist I saw for that diagnosis specialized in queer issues and it was such a nice change of pace.

I guess in terms of what you’re feeling, if it’s just general discomfort with yourself or how you look, that seems more on the body dysmorphia side of things. but if you’re dealing with like,,, a certain disconnect between how you look and how you want to look, that’s leaning more towards dysphoria. I don’t have any bottom dysphoria, and I never really had any. of course it would nice to have a dick but my main concern was my chest. my chest was always such a big deal for me.

if you can bind, bind SAFELY. get a tighter sports bra, test out how you feel when your chest is a little more compressed, and if it makes you feel better that’s great. if not, again, it’s probably dysmorphia. do not use any kind of bandages. if you have access to sports tape, that’s also a relatively safe way to bind but don’t leave it on for too long or it’ll fuck up your skin.

I think really the biggest thing is to experiment, as long as you’re being safe. ask a few friends to try out a new name, different pronouns, etc. see if it makes you feel better.

as for media influence, I feel like the media is doing anything but encouraging transitioning these days. everything I read abt trans people in the media is so negative that it would probably actually discourage me from transitioning all together if I didn’t know I was trans earlier.

and again, surgery, hormones, etc. Are not necessary for you to be trans. if you’re still figuring things out, don’t even worry about that stuff for right now. id focus on finding what is and isn’t comfortable in terms of labels, etc. before I was even a trans man, I spent like two years in the nonbinary area and that was what was most comfortable for me at the time.

my main advice to just make subtle changes and see how you feel. im not you, so i cant give advice and be 100% on it. but if you’ve been thinking about this stuff for a while, id recommend slowly trying to figure it out. I am wishing u all the best :D

Ok I won't tell you. But personally I don't feel bad for Howard. Not even by the end of this episode. Like yes, Jimmy also manipulated Irene for personal gain, but 1. If things had worked as planned, Jimmy's lie would have benefitted Irene. And 2. Jimmy felt bad immediately when Irene got hurt and I think it would take Howard months or years to realize dragging out the settlement against his client's interest was... like... evil.

Like no matter what happens next, the client got their money because of what WM did. It's an unpopular opinion but I say the ends justify the means. Kim is not a "good" person, because no one who wants any real power is "good". But she is a WORTHY person.

True but that's exactly what I dislike so much about this guy. You just don't get to be "slow on the uptake" when other people have put their lives in your hands. Howard isn't a malicious person, but everything he does is "just business" and that's kind of worse. Wall Street kills more people than the cartels. That's all I'm saying.

Chuck abused his authority but he at least HAD a moral worldview. Howard is the avatar of the phrase "if you stand for nothing you'll fall for anything".

If he had said something about "I didn't realize people hated me this much; maybe I need to do some real soul searching about my priorities or my ability to empathize with other people or the way I perceive myself as a victim" I'd be on board with everyone else that this was some great tragedy. But being completely oblivious to the problems of everyone else around you until that problem literally walks in and shoots you? That's just funny. Some tall dark and handsome guy shows up and Jimmy and Kim are reacting visibly in horror, read the damn room: Don't try to get the last word in edgewise, run idiot. I'm totally blaming the victim.

Understand, I didn't actually hate Howard before that scene. He's a scumbag but all the lawyers in this show are kind of scumbags. The difference is I respect Jimmy cus he understands why people hate him. But that final monologue... it's just... it's gonna be a no for me dawg. I'm not saying the character or that scene isn't extremely nuanced, but to me that final interaction can be summarized as a demonstration of how badly Howard hasn't learned from his mistakes and never will.

Because I LOVE S6E8 for finally, finally giving us a taste of Kim being directly involved in the criminal world. But I hate it for giving us only a sample-serving of it and then the show ends. Why Vince and Peter gotta blue ball me like that?! It's not really a problem with BCS because at the end of the day this is Jimmy's story not hers. But the absence of Kim Wexler screaming and crying and saying she doesn't want to pull the trigger content is a problem with the larger BB franchise. We got like 20 scenes of Walt doing that. I love Westworld (among other reasons) because it starts with a woman who wouldn't hurt a fly being forced to play a violent game, and the show actually follows up on what happens after.

And maybe it was Xiaobao's first thought too that Huaien would immediately take the change and fuck him awake, like, two nights after discussing the topic, but he's always surprised by how needy Huaien makes him and he lacks patience.

The CNC, though. That one in particular has haunted me. Idk if they would have the capacity for full-on roleplay and I don't think Xiaobao would have it in him to seem like he's even playfully fundamentally denying Huaien because that’s trauma central, but at the very least there are times when Special Jingles come to play and that’s an invitation for Huaien to fuck him while Xiaobao pretends to be busy with something else. And it probably goes well for a hot minute and after that I'm just imagining Xiaobao pressed against the wall, slack-jawed and maybe drooling a bit, and maybe Huaien is degrading him a bit for it because it's almost like he wants this (can he call him a whore? would he? Xiaobao wouldn't mind), and then Xiaobao remembers he's supposed to fight it. So I guess he tries to mumble a little no and squirm a bit, only managing to brush his junk against Huaien and become hornier in the process. Thoughts???

IT NEEDED AN HONEST NAME. I love the idea of Xiaobao annoyed that Huaien didn’t get on the somno train fast enough. Is Xiaobao supposed to be patient???? Technically he could just put it on in the evening, but I feel like he sometimes slips it on in the morning bc tormenting Huaien all day with free use jingling is part of the allure. Xiaobao learns very quickly that provoking Huaien, getting him worked up, being a huge brat is Extremely Effective at getting what he wants (fucked into next week). Huaien is like, “Do you want a sex coma? Because this is how you get a sex coma.” And Xiaobao maybe does want that actually!

As to roleplaying….ah my sweet Xiaobao. I think he goes full romance protagonist where he is all heaving bosoms and feeble ‘no’s and ‘stop’s, but it’s basically fairly obvious he’s enjoying himself? Idk I kind of think Huaien would tie him up just to make it harder for Xiaobao to break character. (Also you’re so right that the danger here is top drop; Huaien wouldn’t feel great abt the character he’s playing. He’s the one who needs more aftercare.)

CAN HUAIEN CALL XIAOBAO A WHORE. I don’t know. I have been Thinking About This A Lot bc I’ve wanted to write it into fics several times and sort of headtilted about it. I haven’t found the conviction yet. I think in a scene yes. But Huaien saying it in a scene seems to me predicated on his total unwillingness to call Xiaobao a whore unless it was a sex thing. And also probably only once they’re happily established together? Normally, I wouldn’t be so squeamish abt it, but it seems like it really easily slips into meanness when Huaien says it to Xiaobao. And I don’t think I actually have the nerve to write mean huaibao fic.
