I'm only in the beginning of Ace Attorney case 6-5, and I've already imagined a possible way for the last chapter/case to go. I will go ahead and call this an AU because canon never tends to go exactly as I picture it in my head but, here goes.

The notes for my Spirit of Justice AU: Turnabout Absolution!

It all starts when Dhurke kicks off his revolution after somehow obtaining the Founder's Orb.

(To add to that, Maya is safe and there's no hard feelings from Phoenix, he lost to Apollo fair and square.)

Part of the revolution is exposing the rampant corruption of the Ga'ran regime, and just how many innocent people were put to death under the Defense Culpability Act. After Dhurke's agents bring him court records, he and Apollo do extensive fact checking on each case.

Dhurke decides he'll let Apollo hold on to the evidence to keep it safe. Apollo is hopeful that they'll build a case and present it together.

Another part (both personal and important) to Dhurke's revolution is saving Nahyuta from the Queen's influence before it's too late.

Dhurke is able to convince Nahyuta to meet with him because he's finally learned what happened to his late wife - Nahyuta's mother.

The truth is simple: Nahyuta's mother, like many of the other victims, was actually murdered by one of Justice Minister Inga's agents in order to silence those who dared go against the Crown.

Before Dhurke can tell the whole truth (He only gets as far as "Your mother wasn't killed by who you think-") - history repeats itself.

Dhurke and Nahyuta are attacked by one of Inga’s agents. The gunman is unmistakably aiming at Nahyuta.

Dhurke takes a shot to his right shoulder defending his son. He wastes no time and grabs Nahyuta’s arm, trying to flee the scene. Pushing through his injury, Dhurke leads them down the back roads and hidden alleys. He hopes they can reach the safe house where Apollo and Datz are staying.

They don’t quite make it to their destination. Their pursuer catches up to them with backup. There’s a final confrontation. One of the agents shoots Dhurke in a vital spot. He fights back, but he’s unable to stop them from shoving a rifle in the terrified, frozen Nahyuta’s hands and fleeing the scene.

Shortly after, the local, public police arrive at the scene just in time to see Dhurke fall, and Nahyuta with what appears to be a murder weapon in hand. They quickly arrest him.

The next morning, Apollo and Datz learn the bad news. There is little time for mourning, since Nahyuta will need a lawyer.

Apollo refuses to believe Nahyuta is guilty and wants to hear his side of the story. On the way he encounters Phoenix, who offers to help him navigate the Khura'inese courtroom.

Together they go to the detention center. Nahyuta’s demeanor is completely changed, he is despondent and has deep regrets about his father’s death, and how he couldn’t do anything to stop it.

No one will represent him in court, and won't even hear what he has to say. Nahyuta sees this as his divine punishment for all the people he got declared guilty. "Perhaps at least some of them were innocent..."

Apollo gets right to the point, and says he'll defend Nahyuta if no one else will.

Nahyuta outright refuses. He tries to put up his walls, saying he never asked for Apollo's help and this is his business, so both he and Phoenix should just stay out of it.

Apollo doesn't back down.

"Before he was killed, Dhur- ... Dad and I talked, about a lot of things. He told me all his work to change Khura'in wouldn't be complete unless he was able to save you."

Nahyuta is on the verge of tears, but holds them in. "That fool. He wanted to save me so much he died trying..."

Phoenix asks Nahyuta to be honest about what he means by that.

Nahyuta tells the two lawyers everything he remembers from that night.

"I know when Her Benevolence Rayfa performs the Divination seance, I will look as guilty as I appear."

Phoenix thinks the Divination Seance may have a way of proving Nahyuta's innocence, since he's used them as evidence before. With his knowledge, and Apollo's perception, they won't lose.

Nahyuta is actually touched by Apollo and Phoenix's willingness to help him. He warns them that the trial will not be easy, since he has no idea who the prosecution will be. But he agrees to let the two lawyers be his counsel.

Although Apollo has some feelings of grief and sadness, he has to focus on the case. He and Phoenix return to the safe house. There they meet Datz - who is both tearful, but determined to carry out Dhurke's will.

They work through the night putting evidence together and investigating the town for clues. They get little sleep, as the day of the trial looms over them.

The trial starts. Queen Ga'ran herself and Minister of Justice Inga lead the prosecution. Princess Rayfa has to do the Divination Seance, but her steps are reluctant.

As expected the vision incriminates Nahyuta, but Apollo breaks it down gradually.

Apollo's perception works on some witnesses. Phoenix handles those who are in control of their tells by using the Magatama and breaking their psyche locks.

The evidence and testimony start to paint a clear picture for the gallery and the judge. Her Majesty Ga'ran and Minister Inga have been lying, not just about Nahyuta's guilt, but almost every defendant prosecuted under the DC Act.

Even the verdict against the now late Dhurke Sadhmadi was false, since he did not assassinate Queen Amara. Ga'ran convinced Inga to do the deed, so she could be the next to succeed the throne.

There's an outrage that threatens to become a riot. Ga'ran orders her royal guard to subdue the gallery, but they don't move. It turns out, most of them know someone who has been falsely accused under the DC Act. This wasn't justice, but tyranny.

Rayfa is in tears after hearing what both her parents are responsible for. Not just all the innocent people, but even her own aunt, who she adored when she was younger. Although he breaks courtroom etiquette to do so, Nahyuta steps off the defendant's stand to comfort her.

"Your Benevolence, it's true that what we witnessed is evil. But you can be different. Step by step we can change things, together. ... Someone important taught me that. Look around. The people are looking to you now. They want to hear what you have to say."

Rayfa steels herself. She first looks to Apollo and Phoenix, then to Nahyuta, and then the gallery at large.

She begins by formally apologizing for everything her parents have done. That it was their duty as the royal family to uphold the peace granted to them by the Holy Mother, and in many ways, both her mother and father have failed. She promises to do better, to truly earn her name as Benevolent, and that it will start here with Gar'an and Inga serving their penance, and for amnesty to be granted to both the rebels and the guards to begin a path towards true peace.

She humbly asks for Nahyuta to guide her as her regent until she comes of age, and will be crowned as the next Queen of Khura'in. He is equally humbled, but accepts, in the name of The Holy Mother and his new liege.

Before anyone can depart, the judge declares a Not Guilty verdict for Nahyuta Sadhmadhi. There is confetti, cheers and much revelry. Nahyuta can still spot Phoenix and Apollo in the crowd, and smiles briefly at them, before accompanying Rayfa back to the palace.

In the days that followed, there were equal amounts shock at the former Queen's crimes, but hope for what the future will bring. Rayfa's first act is to repeal the DC Act, and with Nahyuta's help, begin reforming the legal system. The Defiant Dragons and the royal soldiers both laid down their arms, instead picking up the tools they'd need to build Khura'in a better future.

Phoenix goes to a phone booth. He gets in touch with Trucy, and tells her he'll be home soon.

On a quiet night, Apollo and Datz take turns visiting Dhurke's shrine, which is right next to the one for his late wife. They tell him how well the trial went, and how Nahyuta has a future now, and they wished he could see it. They leave white lilies, and discover that someone else has already been there to leave flowers before.

It's nearly time for Phoenix and Apollo to go back to their agency, each with a story to tell Trucy and Athena when they get back.

Nahyuta and Rayfa meet them at the airport. They say some brief goodbyes. Apollo promises he will return someday, when he becomes an even better lawyer working in the agency.

Nahyuta looks forward to that, even playfully teasing that they might just meet again in court.

Apollo would be ready and willing to face him when that day comes. And this time, it will not be their lives at stake. Instead they will work together to uncover the truth. In this way they carry on their father's legacy and start building one of their own.

Ghost King Danny with de-aged Dani/Ellie as his daughter (or possibly trapped in her core form healing after some traumatic experience)

Someone (maybe Jason Todd) encounters her while in the realms and misunderstands the situation to think Danny is keeping her captive or something to that effect (and probably also doesn’t quite realize who/what Danny is). Thus, they choose to “rescue” (kidnap) her—taking her with them when they leave.

So now Danny’s daughter is missing, and he’s on a warpath looking for her. But the multiverse is an impossibly big place, so he’s yet to find the specific universe they escaped to

During this, the Justice League happens to summon him to deal with an unrelated threat.

Upon arriving, Danny senses these summoners have connections to the kidnapper he’s searching for, so he demands that they “return what was taken from him” soon (probably within a week at most) or he’ll kill every last one of them himself.

The JL is terrified. They knew they were dealing with an incredibly powerful entity, but they expected indifference (not caring about their issue beyond what payment they offer him) rather than outright hostility towards them.

Thus, there’s a panicked scramble to try to figure out what the hell it is he was referring to so they can return it before they’re all killed.

Oh and also that other threat they summoned Danny to deal with is still out there, so they have to try to manage that too so it doesn’t destroy them in the meantime.

They’ll likely also assume they have to figure out how to fully stop that threat too (since the Ghost King might not help them out even if they do manage to return the thing), but that’s slightly less immediate of a threat at the moment.

yuusha made a dramatic sigh as she begrudgingly put her gloved hand on top of his.

💜: You’re the boss.

and the judgments began.

🐍: Why is your back so stiff? Relax. It’s like I’m dancing with a log.

the vice housewarden felt his patience wearing thin.

the prefect knew how to dance. he saw.

she danced with him herself.

the impromptu dance in the kitchen.

sure she wasn’t great, but she knew how to keep in rhythm.

so why now does it feel like the prefect is making it deliberately hard for him?

yuusha was a fast learner, of course. he knew this.

or she decided to be compliant out of spite.

either or they were dancing in sync to the tuneless sound of the night, save for the occasional chirp of crickets and the jingle of the bells from jamil’s hair ornaments as they twirled around each other.

there’s always a sudden shift with her that he can’t control.

unfortunately for her, two can play at that game.

the vice housewarden concluded the dance with a sharp dip.

so it was another one of those moments.

did the air become particularly warmer that night or was it just that their bodies were pressed closed together in the dip, their faces were almost touching?

from this angle, the prefect gazed into jamil’s eyes. it sparkled like the night sky illuminating behind him.

that’s a soft, starstruck look yuusha hasn’t seen before.

oh this is dangerous.

at this moment, she forgot the implications of eye contact with the scarabia vice housewarden.

she felt herself letting her guard down, much to her dismay.

unbeknownst to her, jamil fell to that vulnerability first. a vulnerability he didn’t think he’d have again.

yuusha matched his soft gaze which jamil immediately honed in on.

💜: Your eyes are beautiful, Jamil. Have I ever told you that?

the prefect yelped as she landed butt-first onto the ground.

jamil had let her body slip out off his hands, dropping the prefect on purpose.

yuusha attempted to kick his shins in retaliation but to no avail. jamil dodged it effortlessly considering she’s still on the ground.

he averted his gaze, trying to hide that he felt warmth rushing through his cheeks.

the hood of his dorm uniform can’t save him right now as he’s not wearing it.

💜: You didn’t have to DROP me! Sorry for complimenting you, I guess.

jamil didn’t acknowledge her complaint and just reached out his hand to her again.

he looks like he’s trying so hard to hide a laugh with that shit-eating smirk of his.

she looked up at him with disbelief but proceeded to accept it anyway.

💜: …..Thanks for the dance, Vice Housewarden.

🐍: You’re welcome, Prefect. Dont ask me ever again.

Okay fuck I've got more to say on the subject of how Wilson thinks House feels about him instead of just tag ranting (though I'll have to repeat some of that tag ranting) because holy shit my dudes.

As a basic premise, from the very start of the show, it is very clear to us the viewer that House has this best friend who is very, very important to him. That's just never a secret – House, who actively pushes everyone away, doesn't want to interact with patients, pretends he doesn't care about people, never tries to hide that he cares about Wilson. This is both towards Wilson himself and to other people – sure, maybe he doesn't come right out and say it, but it's so very clear in so many things he does and says.

Here's some scenes (very much from memory and out of chronological order, please bear with me) that highlight this very clearly:

After Vogler gets Wilson kicked off the board and Wilson accuses House of not thinking that their friendship (or Wilson's job) matters enough to him to give that speech. House started out making light of the situation, kind of twisting it into a joke, refusing to take accountability etc. but the moment Wilson says that, he immediately sobers and just straight up admits that no, actually, they do matter ° I remember being very surprised by this because this is only in S1 and I didn't expect House to be this sincere with Wilson ° Hell, the pilot had someone asking Wilson if House cared about him and Wilson was like "I don't know", so I took that as an indicator that House doesn't show he cares. But as it turns out, this is very much a Wilson problem, not a House problem!

The "You DOSED me!" conversation. 11/10 one of the most hilarious scenes in the show, but also! House is understandably upset that his best friend is depressed and he didn't know about it, but Wilson straight up tells him to stop acting hurt because he doesn't actually care. This is wild to me because everything in the way House talks suggest that he isn't just mad because he missed a puzzle piece, he genuinely wanted Wilson to tell him about this, but Wilson didn't trust him with it

Living together in Amber's apartment post-Mayfield. Wilson thinks he can't talk to House about his grief after Amber's death and prefers to talk to her instead of talking to House. Even when House directly offers/asks him to talk to him instead, Wilson outright rejects him and tells him that talking to him doesn't make him feel better but talking to her does. ° Amber is dead, she will not reply to him, yet Wilson considers this more of a comfort than anything House would offer him. Except, House is carrying so much guilt about Amber's death, I genuinely feel like he would've made an effort to be supportive in this instance ° In fact, at the start of S5 before Wilson leaves, House even says, "I know you're not [okay], but maybe I can help." and Wilson doesn't even acknowledge it (instead just proceeds to tell him that he should have been alone on that bus, good lord)

Two instances I clearly remember where they're arguing about things House genuinely seems insecure about in their friendship: ° When Wilson moves out of Grace's place and back into a hotel because he doesn't think it's a good idea to move back in with House, House asks him if they're okay despite all of it. His expression in that scene actually takes me out because he looks so sincere and the insecurity behind it is very badly hidden ° "Does it bother you that we don't have a social contract?" The fact that House feels the need to ask this and make sure that Wilson is fine with their dynamic speaks volumes imo

Honestly the entirety of the episode Wilson (S6E10). "If you die, I'm alone." All the trying to push Wilson to grow a spine and not let Tucker take advantage of him. Sitting by his bedside both as he wakes up from surgery and then again while he's recovering from the surgery. In fairness though, Wilson doesn't outright deny that House cares about him in this one.

During the roadtrip to House's dad's funeral. "And there's the foundation of our entire friendship. If you hadn't been bored one weekend, it wouldn't even exist." – "Hey, there were 3000 people at that convention. You're the one I thought wasn't boring." imagine being told that out of 3000 people there, the man who notoriously does not care about anything that doesn't intrigue him, picked you specifically to be his friend and has been obsessed with you ever since, and somehow rewriting that into a bad thing??? The way he says the "if you hadn't been bored" part sounds accusatory and kind of bitter, when that's just how friendships get formed sometimes? Wilson, what the hell are you on

The entirety of S8 following Wilson's cancer diagnosis is basically one huge declaration of love from House. But to be fair, I think by this point, even Wilson realizes that (...mostly, even though he still somehow interprets it as a "House needs me so he doesn't want to lose me" kind of thing instead of just fucking accepting that maybe the man just loves* him and that's why he doesn't want to lose him, god) *love being used non-romantically here, even without Hilson goggles on, they just undeniably love each other, however you choose to interpret it

All of this just makes me wonder what the hell Wilson's got wrong with him that leave him so completely and utterly unable to fathom that House could possibly care about him, despite the fact that House very explicitly shows him over and over. Wilson is usually so good at reading House and figuring him out, just not when it comes to himself, apparently. Dude has some serious issues and I am so very intrigued by it <3

A shit ton of Fnaf Movie headcanons for no reason at all

Abby excels at anything that requires creativity, not just drawing.

Vanessa absolutely despises Easter for some reason. She doesn't know why, but she always gets a sense of impending doom whenever Easter comes.

William hates summer because he's very sensitive to heat. He always has been. He almost passed out once because he took a shower and the water was too hot.

William used to be friends with one of or both of Mike's parents. William ended the friendship abruptly and never explained why.

Mike had Scarlet Fever when he was six and his parents had to take him to the hospital.

Mike is almost always cold. On especially cold days, he likes to cocoon himself in at least ten blankets to escape the cold.

At some point after the fnaf movie, Vanessa adopts a rabbit and names him Vinnie. Vinnie is evil incarnate and is likely planning world domination, but Vanessa is seemingly unaware of this and thinks he can do no wrong. Vinnie hates everyone... except Mike for some reason. Mike does not like Vinnie and is terrified of him.

Vanessa once asked Mike to pet-sit Vinnie. Mike initally said no... until Vanessa told him that she'd pay him. Mike spent most of that day hiding from a red eyed rabbit.

Speaking of pets, Mike dog-sat Bonsey for Maxine a few times. He felt bad for not being able to pay her for babysitting Abby so he offered to watch Bonsey when Maxine went out of town. He didn't mind, he actually got along well with Bonsey.

After Bonsey escapes the car, he was lost for a while before he eventually finds his way back to Maxine's house. He waits there for a while, but Maxine never came home. After another few days, Bonsey eventually finds Mike's neighborhood. Bonsey must've remembered how to get there from all the times Maxine would drive him over to Mike's house so he could watch him. Mike found him trotting down the sidewalk when he was walking to his usual spot by the culvert. He didn't immediately recognize the dog as Bonsey, but Bonsey recognized Mike. He followed Mike to the culvert and sat with him. Mike eventually spotted Bonsey's collar and put two and two together. Mike takes care of Bonsey now. It's an extra mouth to feed, but Bonsey was skin and bones when he found him and he would've felt bad letting him continue to starve.

Like Abby and Mike, Garret never liked his Aunt Jane. He always got the feeling that she thought he was annoying. She did, but she never directly told him that's what she thought of him.

The entirety of the Team B branch has been added, concluding the different branches that can be chosen when dealing with Janus Terminal. All branches are now playable until the "aftermath" section, at which point the demo ends.

Join Kiran in the Team B branch and witness their very hands-on ways of dealing with obstacles. Share a conversation or two. Chill out and have just a little moral quandary, as a treat. Nothing crazy happens in this route. It's a lazy river adventure.

None of the previously existing variables were altered, so old saves might still work. If you experience any errors when using an old save, please attempt to replicate the error on a brand new save before reporting. Thank you!

~Small references to objects in certain scenes. Honestly, this change might not even be noticed. 😂

When talking with Zero in Chapter 2, conversation with her should now correctly reference the route you chose in Chapter 1

~The variable in this scene incorrectly referenced a ch2-specific variable instead of a ch1-specific variable, causing the scene to default into thinking the reader had taken the "talk" route no matter what. Now it will recognize which chapter 1 route you picked.

Fixed a broken link (AGAIN) in the Team A/Team B routes, resulting from a misspelled variable.

~You should now be able to attempt to intimidate the raider in the escape pod bay.

~This error was reported multiple times over multiple updates both public and early access, and every time I found something else wrong with the clause in question. It should be working correctly now. If it isn't, I'm going to run into the woods never to be seen again. Or perhaps shoot myself into the sun, whichever feels more appropriate when it happens.

Headcanon that somehow Finrod is Elrond’s most legally legitimate relative besides Galadriel, Celebrian, and his children (Aragorn excluded).

• Whenever Finrod had a Good Friendship with a Beorian they would make him a godfather of their kid(s).

• Beren is legally Finrod’s godchild (along with several other beorians).

• Then Luthien and Beren decided to honor Finrod by making him the godfather of their kid, Dior.

• By some divine humor, Dior adds Finrod to the legal family registry as his uncle or something.

• Elwing keeps the family registry as it is because if her dad claimed this “Finrod ‘Nóm’ Felagund” is family, it must be true.

• The argument can be made that Elwing left her kids, sure, but whatever anyone’s opinion about Elwing is, Finrod is still legally e&e’s grand-uncle/great-grandfather

Now for the other side!

• Finrod is Idril’s honorary uncle and legal guardian if her parents die. Because Turgon in Valinor never thought death would be a thing and he wanted to annoy his siblings.

• Idril makes Finrod Earendil’s Honorary Grand-Uncle and Legal Guardian, to keep the joke going in an increasingly stressful world.

• Eärendil doesn’t know the joke but the paperwork says Finrod Felagund is his family, and they’re both blonde so it’s probably true.

I may be completely wrong here and I’m not trying to say Style is dumb at all. I’ve just seen people theorising about what it means that he saw Keen before then didn’t say anything in the bathroom and have a boring theory.

Like for example is it possible he simply forgot or forgot in the moment for a variety of reasons (maybe even him being tipsy at the time?). Or maybe didn’t think it was important at the time? They may revisit this and reveal something or have him finally make the connection later on but that’s my boring theory against the he’s up to something one’s.

I’ve just completely forgotten who people are before so would understand if it really wasn’t deeper than that but I still appreciate the theorising going on. I will wait to see what the show does next.

yeah i'm so super mad at myself for completely forgetting that style had seen keen before when i was writing my ep7 meta!! i could have been thinking about this a week ago!! also, how embarrassing for me to forget about this when i've literally made being a style expert my sole personality for the past 7 weeks. i can't believe this smh....
