I was crying from pain at the emergency room and the nurses were bitching about me not dying so they couldn’t help right away even if I kept passing out and had been there for a long time, this sweet old Russian lady who was also admitted since earlier stood up and walked next to me and kept comforting me and asking how I was holding up, she kept checking in on me and being so sweet and going around asking if everyone was doing ok or just distracting family members of patients with nice conversations. She called out the doctors and nurses for not caring, she sat next to me and kept making sure I was ok and then gave me her phone number when she got discharged so I’d follow up with her. Honestly my day coulda been hell today but this one lady made it so bearable it’s not going to be remembered as a bad horrible traumatizing time, I got to meet an actual angel and I’m so happy about it.

On Sirens: phenomenal acting and the entire show being centered around displaying and dissecting character dynamics warped by status, class, and perceptions of gender made it a very gripping watch, despite there not being an action-led plot.

Unhinged parasocial theory incoming

I think Copia's arc is a metaphor for Tobias handling imposter syndrome after the success of Impera and rediscovering how to create music from a place of love.

You take this generally introverted genius of a man who fell into a highly specific musical niche, and you put a Grammy in his hands. It's absolutely deserved, but likely not something that any fan of the band or band member for that matter saw coming. Suddenly, Tobias Forge is faced with the idea that the world is watching and listening, and that's incredibly intimidating for any artist. Maybe he suffers from imposter syndrome. Maybe it takes time before he can write again, because he overly criticizes his work. Maybe the chapters feel more like an obligation than a project. Maybe he feels that, with his newfound success and status, he has been demoted from what he loved about being Ghost.

And then the ego death occurs.

Some event transpires that makes him understand that it's all meant to be felt and lived in the moment, and that glory is temporary but making music is something that lives forever. Rite Here Rite Now is made, and it tells us this story. Copia's upset at Perpetua may very well be a metaphor for Tobias' upset at realizing that, to be authentic, he has to give up a small part of the foundation he built Ghost upon. The mask is no longer a new identity. Tobias is Papa now and forevermore, and maybe he's still grieving what he feels he has to give up to authentically create.

I could just be writing fanfiction here, but I feel pretty strongly that what we're seeing goes deeper than fiction.

Because I've been slowly rotating it in my head, here's a rough timeline for everything as far as I can guess:

~??~: The All Hammer, Law Bearer, and Platinum Dragon, at minimum, discuss the calamity/war and how it could end. The spark that would become the divine gate is lit

50-100 years before the fall of Aeor: the gods meant for the Aeor mission start to take their mortal forms (timespan based on Father Milo being an old man. Last god to become mortal is the Dawnfather, 15~ years before the fall)

The All Hammer also becomes mortal to begin the basis for the divine gate (likely as an acknowlement that it will 1) take time to accomplish and 2)it will be the only true way to end the Calamity)

The Fall of Aeor: the topic of distancing themselves from Exandria and the divine gate is fully broached to the majority of the Prime Deities, solidifying it as the solution

~??~: The Moonweaver casts her blessing that would keep the gods from finding mortal avatars. Simultaneously, the Lord of the Hells casts his curse that makes the avatars forget their true nature. (The Moonweaver's blessing could've been a way to protect Garen from any divine influence as prime deties had to be worked around to the idea, and the betrayers had to be kept from stopping it)

~60-70 years before Divergence: The Platinum Dragon, seeing the Lord of the Hells' curse, chooses to become mortal in order to find and protect his brother, having faith that they will be reunited despite forgetting himself. (Timespan based off of the 80 year dragonborn lifespan, Erro was old but not insanely so)

~25-30 years before Divergence: The Moonweaver becomes mortal in order to prove out how the gods' connections to their followers will be changed by the gate but not be blocked completely, as well as to experience the full depths of mortal love

The only event I couldn't roughly place on the timeline without more information is when exactly Garen is captured and imprisoned at Rybad Kol. He was there for a very long time so it could have been before or after the blessing & curse. Either acting as a catalyst for them in order to protect him from being found out, or with the confusion and probable power downgrade from them taking effect making him easier to capture (if not plain bad luck).

Does anyone know why the Kazumi Magica artist went AWOL like you said to dreamerwitches?

That’s the fascinating thing, right? I can’t seem to find anything about them deciding to. I feel like someone would have likely noticed if the artist had put out a ‘I’m deleting everything.’ or any sort of similar vibe before it happened. 

The Cuddly Despairs event ran in October, 2021. The artist did the CG art as well as art for the newly unlocked *5 stars + new Kazumi. Sometime between that event and potentially July/August ish of 2024 ( since there was no ‘goodbye’ art piece made featuring Kazumi characters when Magia Record EOS when everyone Else did one) is when the artist seemingly deleted their online presence. 

Now, the rest is under a read more just because I find this situation fascinating, but is really just pure speculation on my end.

Kazumi Magica is such an interesting existence in the catalog of madoka spin-offs, precisely because it seems as if both the creators ( writer and artist) of the manga aren’t very interested in involving themselves further in the Madoka Magica series as a whole than the story they made. I can’t tell if it’s because there’s two people who worked on it vs the other spin-offs, where the artist And writer were the same person, that’s created this sort of vibe where Kazumi keeps getting excluded from the cool magical girl club. Tart also was a two party team with Masugitsune & Kawazuku (under Golden Pe Done), but Masu alone was plenty active in helping with designing new characters and doing multiple Tart events.

I had a whole thing here getting into it the thick of it, but very much every spin-off artist that had their story shown off in the Exedra trailer (GAN, Masugitsune, Kuroe Mura) have all given some form of contribution to Magia Record during the game’s run, if not still doing artwork for the main series, like the MagiReco anime end cards and other miscellaneous works. 

I’m not expecting Masaki Hiramatsu( Kazumi Writer, still around) to have picked up a tablet pen and done something in place of no longer having an artist for his series. He seems to be plenty busy writing for the Bleach anime right now by the looks of things. I want to make it clear : I do not think he does not care for Kazumi. He clearly does with how he didn’t like how the first Magia Record Kazumi event was written, and then seemingly assisted with it on the second go. I feel as if the same would likely happen for Exedra too to ensure the story is properly retold.

Simply put, I believe the artist of Kazumi Magica, for one reason or another, retired from being an artist or does not want their art to be available online. 

This is slightly unrelated, but to give you an idea where I’m going with this, I occasionally buy adopts and customs from other artists, and if I had a nickel for every artist I’ve worked with that has scrapped their existence from the Internet entirely due to AI concerns, I would have eight nickels. Again, I cannot confirm nor deny that is why the Kazumi artist decided to scrub everything, as we do not have an official confirmation. However, it would not surprise me if that was the case.

Even if unlikely at this point, the artist could always make a comeback to work on Exedra! I feel like they might leave Kazumi as the last spin-off they'll add, just to sorta see if they could maybe Find said artist. I’m just…not holding my breath for it as of now.

Which comes to another question: When Kazumi inevitably gets added to Exedra, who is going to do the art? I know there’s someone on the f4 team that can do a good impression of Ume Aoki’s art style, but I’m not sure if they can do the same with Kazumi…? I feel like there are many artists around and involved in the series now that there’d be someone who wouldn’t mind picking up the task…

I'm so disappointed that Veilguard doesn't at all go into how Illario was doing blood magic. Illario, a non-mage, can just suddenly do an unspecified amount of blood magic and the only explanation we're given is "gods 🤷‍♂️"
