i just finished dos2 and it was such an excellent game but what the hell was the red prince's epilogue scene??

he had so much character growth at the end, going so far as to give up what arguably was his birthright to be a god amongst men (aka lizards) and ruling to mc and trusting them as the new divine

then he turns around and says lol be my slave like what the hell?? where was the character progression?? the romantic acknowledgement that he literally tells mc he loves them?? what was that??

#it felt like the ending was written by a completely different person who 1.) did not like the red prince 2.) did not understand his #character at all #OF COURSE he will always have a degree of arrogance that's just who he is but he's grown so much as a person and father like ????#i'm just so let down by that the rest of the game was truly fantastic but the endings made me so sad #they either felt lackluster or just like. we had these life changing adventures together now bye forever #which i guess is how it is sometimes but it made me so sad #also the game kept bugging out & flagging as if id slept w sebille (which i hadnt) & not counting all the romance #stuff i did w ifan prior to the night on lady vengeance w the red prince #so that also sucked bc it was never acknowledged after #also why make the red prince a romance option if he's not even going to have a proper route???? i have so many more thoughts on this but #tw slavery #slavery mention #dos2 #dos 2 #dos2 spoilers #dos 2 spoilers #divinity original sin 2 #divinity: original sin 2 #the red prince #dos2 the red prince #dos 2 the red prince #the red prince x godwoken #the red prince romance #slavery tw

I may never recover from this film actually

#SPOILERS IN TAGS #I was sitting there in the theater in that last scene and I was thinking ‘if miles is not the prowler in this universe it is a wasted #opportunity’ and then I nearly lost it when I was right #I can’t even articulate how much I loved this film #so many wonderful character moments and great dialogue!#my only complaint is no spiderman noir??? my boy???#but anyway otherwise it was delightful #I heard everyone complaining about Gwen and I was nervous but actually I really liked what they did with her #like yes she was really frustrating but also it’s difficult to imagine doing anything else in that situation and her actions weren’t out of #character at all #also um. can we talk about how Miguel might be an Inheritor?#like what was he about to do to miles on that train. was he about to eat him???#(for reference Miguel doesn’t normally have fangs like that)#astv #across the spiderverse

i do unironically think the best artists of our generation are posting to get 20 notes and 3 reblogs btw. that fanfic with like 45 kudos is some of the best stuff ever written. those OCs you carry around have some of the richest backstories and worldbuilding someone has ever seen. please do not think that reaching only a few people when you post means your art isn't worth celebrating.

I love that all of the dungeon meshi crew are complicated and have difficult to love components.#But Izutsumi is a particular kind of hard to love. I foresee a lot of people being turned off by her abrasiveness and lack of teamwork.#She is very self-centered and openly goes against what the party agrees on.#She's a picky eater in a story that is 50% about eating good and healthy food!#It is in part about her growth but admittedly even *then* she remains rather true to her self-centeredness.#Even though she isn't as nice or funny or compassionate as the others...Izutsumi is still someone worth loving.#Even the more difficult people are someone worth loving.#And those people in turn are people who have something and someone they love.#She may be a girlcat but she is the most human of them all.#I hope that if you are an anime only watcher and are feeling put off by her at the moment; you'll give her a chance.#By the way: *yes* I worked very hard to draw that skateboard pose.
