Hello! I asked the cards your question and the first pull was the Knight of Flowers, 7 of Teacups reversed and 6 of Flowers.

Knight of Flowers means he thought of himself as someone who was passionate and intense about anything he did, full of energy and action oriented, but also someone whose fire burned bright but burned out quickly, someone who would go hot and cold fast, he got interested in things as fast as he lost interest. 7 of Teacups reversed shows him thinking he also romanticized and overidealized things too much, that he would get overwhelmed but the possibilities and sometimes daydream too much. However, with the 6 of Flowers, he still thought he was someone who would be good enough to be loved. He was, again, passionate, he worked for what he wanted, and he knew how to enjoy those little victories quite well. He used to encourage people and make them feel inspired, and he was charismatic and upbeat.

The second pull was the Page of Flowers, Temptation and King of Flowers. Page of Flowers means he thought he was, similarly to the first pull, very good at going in on adventures and exploring the new, like an excited boy who was full of energy and enthusiasm. Temptation shows he might also have seen himself as having a somewhat unhealthy side, that could have some toxicity and attachment issues, addictive behaviour, maybe feeling trapped or depressed. But King if Flowers shows us he still saw himself as a good and natural-born leader, someone who could be creative and passionate, a visionary, very charismatic, overflowing with creativity and intelligence.

So I would say from these cards he could have thought he wasn’t really difficult to love when young, he had many qualities and his negative traits could be overcome.

- i kinda like that she ended up looking like a mother-of-pearl inlay lacquerware!

- oh this was a subconscious choice, but Gale is sitting in seiza which is a posture for showing respect especially to elders. it's also known to be a painful position to sit in for extended periods of time, which is why it was sometimes used as a method of (morally dubious) punishment. however, experienced people can maintain this posture for much longer. food for thought :-)

I’m rewatching supernatural, and I can’t believe I never realised this before, but sam and dean are the exact opposite of what they think of themselves. In the brothers’ eyes Sam is the more emotionally open one, or the one with more empathy, and yet he struggles to make close relationships that aren’t romantic. He keeps everyone at arms distance: john, mary, bobby, cas, and so many other examples throughout the series. Whereas dean is supposed to be closed off and emotionally stunted, and yet he has deeper connections with almost all recurring characters: garth, jody, donna, claire (obviously the ones mentioned before). He lets people in more easily than sam. Even how he knows all the shopkeepers in lebanon, whereas they don’t seem to know sam (ie 14x13).
