After @randomationality mentioned Starscream getting thrown around often here, I remembered him being shiny for the first few episodes and decided to do some digging and figure out exactly when he lost the shine.

In Episode 1, while Megatron is still gone, Starscream’s chest has a very prominent shine.

Then again, Episode 2, Megatron returns and he is very shiny.

In Episode 3 he’s not as shiny as earlier (possibly due to the lighting, possibly due to offscreen Megatron) but we do see the glow of his weapon reflecting on his chest.

Same for Ep4, continuation of the Fowler scene. But at the end of Episode 4, Megatron beats Starscream on camera for the first time. And when you watch Episode 5,,,

You can clearly see he’s lost the shine. The same lighting is hitting both of them and while it reflects from Megatron, it doesn’t from Starscream.

Worth noting that Ep 6 does give him back a bit of shine, he never quite recovers to the same degree as the first few episodes. I stopped watching carefully after that point. Make of this what you will. The animators tweaking his design after the first few episodes, or an intentional change to show Megs’ abuse.

personally, i also think that they’re best friends with very deep bond of understanding. gojo doesn’t have anyone who understands him until geto does, but then he branches away to another path and that essentially breaks something in him—it’s such a twisted relationship but i still think it’s not romantic love. it’s love, yes, but to me it’s more brotherly caused by their mutual understanding in their twisted jujutsu reality more than anything else. after all, gojo is obsessed with jujutsu—he hones himself to the point of the strongest so no one will be left behind because of it 🥲 and geto sees himself as the one who can rid this world of curses and becomes a mass murderer to achieve his goal

do they do it out of love for each other? i think no. it’s because they share the same vision that curses take people dear to them and hence why curses must be eradicated. only that their ways are so extremely different for it

Anyway there’s a lot of different possibilities and themes to explore with young adult Hobie Brown other than sex that make sense with his character that you don’t usually see many fans bring up in the age discourse it’s mainly brought when people just want to stick their noses up at the idea of writing young adult Hobie Brown having sex

but Anyway Hobie in his early twenties growing into a cold hearted world finding his own independence, being given more reigns over his own life, and distancing himself from authority figures imposing themselves upon him. So he can become more of his own person and find strength in people who actually want to uplift him and not tear him down as he gains more experience in life. And he learns to uplift others as well with the knowledge he has gained. He doesn’t need the training wheels anymore he’s trying to find people who will help him make his own bike for himself now. I prefer this version of Hobie Brown and see a lot more opportunity with developing his journey down anarchy when I don’t have to pretend he’s a kid. Y’all do whatever you want but I much rather explore Hobie as a younger adult especially since I’m 9teen myself.

His age is up to interpretation he gives off twenties to me he reminds me of people i know from my unhinged friend group. So yeah those are some very basic/ very personal writing concepts my brain came up with for young adult Hobie Brown.
