tbf considering she'd technically also be hunting more for food at that time id assume shes just burning the calories off anyways. but like depending on how slow or fast her metabolism is thats kind of grasping at straws. either way its incredibly likely she gains at least a couple pounds once she starts eating people or at least smaller animals

in a variant of useless arguments that unfortunately i can't just use the block button on, i am reliving a wtfry from like five years ago because i'm trying to sort through my medical history and figure out if i have any further lurking disasters and i'm currently stuck on
me: i am trying to eat healthier so i want to add more fruits and vegetables to my diet
nutritionist: no don't eat more fruits! that's too much sugar! sugar is bad for you!
like really we're not talking about processed foods or added sugars, this person straight up told me there was too much sugar in raw, fresh fruit
#please god let my labwork imbalances rebalance#i've been prediabetic off and on for a decade and my last A1c was 5.5 so it's not getting worse & i need doctors to get off my ass about it#and I absolutely KNOW if you push me certain ways about food i'll go orthorexic if not anorexic#(and they won't even treat it like an illness because I'm fat)#(at a checkup last week I was commenting on my surgical recover and i lamented 'and i'm still losing weight' and the doc was like 'good!')#(bitch my weightloss was a symptom of an organ crisis i could have died of. no it's not good! i want to STABILIZE!)#i've spent years disentangling myself from the toxic diet culture shit my mother dumped on me like drink a glass of water to feel full#fuck that i barely ever feel hungry in the first place i need to listen to what signals i do get#and after all my hard work they're gonna try to drag me back in#i just fuckin know it#it's not like trying to balance my current dietary restrictions isn't borderline orthorexic already#but i feel like i have a grasp on why i do it and when moderation vs strict adherence is okay#and from past experience counting calories is the line where i will fully go insane#maybe 25 years on I could resist but i don't want to try#i would rather go on metformin or some other fuckin' drug i don't really need than count calories#ugh it's a week until my next appointment to talk about this it would be great if it would get out of my brain until then#chronic illness#medical bullshit#food bullshit

Low Cal beverages
One easy swap is to not drink your calories. But it does help to stay hydrated, especially if you work out a lot.
Liquid calories are often not satisfying so why waste the cals?.... if this is you, here are some things I am trying:
Water. Iced water, warm water.
Broth- 5 cal bouillon cubes
Tea- Cold brew & hot. Try everything & find your favorites.
Monster ultras- 10 cals
Water mix-ins like Mio.
Crystal light or similar packs
LMNT electrolyte replacements- YUM
Ultima-another electrolyte brand
Coffee- Yum.
Skinny coffee syrups. I'm Boujee.
TrueLime packets. Quite refreshing.
Boost shots (transform-Chris & Heidi Powell's company)
Instead of booze, I have been drinking NA beverage replacements. My favorites are hiyo, recess, & moment
I do diet soda too. 1 can of like a Dr pepper zero strawberry n cream in the afternoon, when I crave a sweet. I used to go to an ice cream replacement or a protein (candy!) Bar. I do non caffeinated in the evening, especially helpful for CBD time.
Try everything. Use whatever works to stay hydrated. I realize in my old age that I was definitely not hydrated most of my life.
I realized that for whatever reason, I could not drink alcohol, even on just a weekend basis and be successful on a weight loss journey.
Any drinks at all- even a moderate 2 white claw evening Friday or Saturday would completely stall me.
Sometimes you have to figure out what is holding you back.

I’m not longer accepting DMs from people. Either you’re going to encourage me to starve or purge or exorcise or give me meanspo or you aren’t going to talk to me. In my experience it’s the people who reach out and try to tell you “it’s okay to eat” that flip so quick with anything and act like I should agree with everything they say because they were kind to me once. Get help. I’m not going to listen to you. I’m going to be thin and you can’t fucking stop me. Either encourage me or get the fu k out
That being said ANA BUDDIES WANTED if you’re in recovery get the fuck away from me

my favourite part of having a viral infection for the better part of a month is when i accidentally lose 8% of my body weight and achieve one of the goals the doctors managing my idiopathic intracranial hypertension set by accident.

I know posts aren’t written with a universal audience in mind and that when people make posts like this they are probably not talking to me but
I HATE posts that are phrased to talk to everyone and say shit like “you NEED to be eating X”
shut up! you do not know a persons needs. just saw one that even went so far as to say they didn’t care if a person has a condition that makes it hard. shut up shut up! things that are healthy for most people are not necessarily good for everyone! like. my body does not tolerate cellulose. it makes me throw up. I can only tolerate vegetables in very specific circumstances, and I’m even then I will, not might, WILL, throw up part of the meal. I also receive premade meals in the mail as a disability accommodation. These meals are inevitably designed to cater to the Healthy Diet For Everyone. and as a result, I can’t eat like half of every single one because it’s steamed vegetables that will make me sick. nothing I can even do about it. it’s not possible to receive medical meals for MY medical needs. not to mention all the other stuff they send me that is prohibited for me (whole grain bread —I’m on a low fiber diet. milk —lactose intolerant. pineapple fruit/juice —allergic. tomatoes…allergic again.)
idk man it is an active problem in my life that everything presumes there is only one way to be healthy. I’m so sick of dealing with it. I DONT want to see it on tumblr too! leave nutrition advice to people’s doctors!!!
