gosh, it surprises me every time. somewhere in my brain, i get that when i post something, it’s meant to be seen. have an audience. that's the whole point, no? but even though i understand that, it doesn’t always feel real.

it might sound silly but it's genuinely strange to think that my thoughts, as messy and scattered as they are, don’t just stop the moment i send them out.

they get to have a life beyond me. i say what i say, and it doesn’t just vanish. my words go out into the world, meeting people i’ll never know, touching lives i’ll never get to see.

and like. i write because these characters take up residence in my mind, demand to be understood, to be turned over and examined until i can see all their edges clearly. i am mandated by law (autism) to give these thoughts shape to satiate the beast within (autism, once again)((fuck that flower bee-tee-dubs)).

but then, you mean to tell me that my brainworms actually found a place with you? that they meant enough for you to pause, take time out of your day, and earnestly tell me so?

The afterlife section is probably not an illusion because Gojo should have no way of knowing things like Nanami seeing Haibara before dying.

honestly ur probably right.. i wrote that other post without thinking much n didnt expect anyone to actually be reading it LOL

if it was not an illusion, i think it may connect to sukuna's CE/CT which iirc targets/slices through cursed energy itself (CE being created by cycles of suffering). he also got to gojo by slicing through the world itself, and disturbed the fabric of existence

this afterlife thing reminds me of what happened before with jogo whose situation was uncannily similar to gojo:

the third image is the form that dagon died in, but jogo is talking to his pre-evolution form...a reflection of the past, similar to gojo speaking to everyone as their teenage selves

as well, jogo seems to be dying a "death without regrets". he talks to sukuna in his dying breath, who says this:

but like, is that really sukuna??? in the very next panel, he appears to have a 180 in attitude and personality. the real sukuna doesnt seem impressed at all; and now with the context of gojo's battle, i dont believe jogo was even remotely close to gaining sukuna's approval.

i think its jogo's manifestation of his own desires, presented in sukuna's form. he was a character focused around strength and he died gaining the acknowledgement of the strongest.

again this is similar to gojo, who consistently desires companionship and an escape from the loneliness of being the strongest. he dies surrounded by everyone he loved and lost, at the happiest time of his life where he was't the sole bearer of being "the strongest". (i personally still feel like this is a rather static end for gojo's character...maybe ill write another post about that cuz this chapter is making me go actually insane lol)

i really really wonder what the implications of all this is, honestly i got into jjk for satosugu lol so im probably missing half of the story here. i never cared much or paid attention to sukuna, but this chapter makes me want to reread and get a better gist of his character too. especially the theme of love and connections that seem quite prevalent in sukuna vs gojo

SOME CONTEXT FOR CANON-DIVERGENT PARTS OF THIS COMIC:

I started this last year when Stitch's Tropical Turbulence first dropped on the JP server, but because of schoolwork only ever had the chance to finish it this month. So as you may notice there are stuff, like the acorn bracelets being from Mel instead of Silver, that I just drew based on theories about it at the time being retconned now.

I also knew that Malleus was probably just gonna be almost the same developmental age as he was now during Sil's childhood but I wanted to also draw him as a kid. Just because🔥🌺

I like to think that Vulcans who come to understand that Humans just can’t try to process emotions the same way as them, it’s just healthiest to let it out in harmless ways, decide that venting and stuff should be taken just as seriously as Vulcan’s meditation time, and will encourage the Humans around them to complain about what’s upsetting them

i don’t mind suspending my disbelief for leverage’s person-sized ventilation shafts bc that’s pretty standard for the genre, but that doesn’t mean i won’t laugh a bit at some of the egregiously large vents. particularly in the crowning acheivement job (lev: red s2 finale) because - well just look at this lol! harry and parker, two adults, can kneel side by side in those vents. parker can sit upright.

that museum was made for vent crawling purposes. that’s just an extra room in the museum they forgot to decorate. the leverageverse has a thief union that successfully lobbied for a better working environment. these vents double as a playground for museum-goers’ children. i was crying with laughter thinking about this and harry’s vent crisis was NOT helping me remember that there was a serious heist thing going on lol, i love this show.
