Even after learning their secret identities, the hero community always insisted that there was something inhuman about the bats. No one doubted that their intensive training had a lot to do with it, but it never quite explained how they could evade a Kryptonian's super senses, how they could melt into shadows, how they could function so long with little food, little rest, little oxygen if need be. The powers they're developing have been subtle, and align with the skills they expect to have, so no one brought it up when they started being able to hold their breath beyond human limitations, or got so sneaky that they literally seemed invisible, or had a lucky miss when they expected a bullet to go right through them. And they always exuded an unsettling aura of fear, so no one else thought anything was out of the ordinary either. By the time they meet Danny, Gotham counts as one of the most fiercely defended ghost haunts on the planet, with so many territorial liminals patrolling the streets.

i wrote up some of my opinions on the rereleases but it was quite long so im leaving it in the drafts but as a summary:

we as a community should want accessibility, and we should not be tearing down people who do not have the time/digital literacy/ability to set up abandonware video games and are excited to have a chance to play them. but also EA is evil and very frequently incompetent so we should also not be putting our faith in the hands of the multi billion dollar corporation who do not care about us or the fun we have to handle these titles with care

A couple of days ago, I came across this post (that I reblogged I think) about how one of the tragedy of Bruce and Jason's relationship was that Jason doesn’t know/believe Bruce loves him while Bruce thinks Jason knows how much he loves him. And I have since realized it's the same with Dick during his earlier Nightwing years.

Bruce thinks Dick knows how much he loves him, so he doesn't try to prove it, because he thinks it's obvious. He doesn't reach out, because Dick needs space and he must already know how Bruce loves him anyway. However, Dick thinks Bruce doesn't love him, and he is waiting for Bruce to reach out to show that he does, and when he doesn’t, he thinks it means Bruce doesn't love him.

Bruce thinks he has communicated clearly to his kids that he loves them so much, but he actually hasn't. He communicated it in his way, but the message didn't translate to others. This is probably because he is neurodivergent and grew up secluded from others, with Alfred and Leslie who have learned to understand him, so he doesn't realize his way doesn't work with everyone.

My Personal Wyll Mod List

Because he might be Larian's least favourite Origin Character, but at least someone gives him love. And this one needs sections (note: this is made by someone who only plays on PC, doesn't know if there's a console version and please remember to read descriptions and instructions.)

Cosmetics

Okay, there are a lot of options for Wyll restyling (and good ones at that!) but this is the list of mods I personally use! At it's core it changes his hair and starting equipment with add-ons for skin textures, camp oufit, Duke Ravengard...

And has compatability patches with many of the other major Wyll rework mods though Wyll's Devil form sadly seems to be a little spotty still so I'm less keen to sugest it until I try it in game again since I'm seeing some say it's back to good (Also the portrait add-on)

(Also Wyll's Devil Form could be here, I just need to confirm it being functional in patch 7 to give a larger rec. I do in spirit though)

Wyll's Bloodstone Eye

It has a few other options, but just makes the eye out of bloodstone as stated in dialouge.

THE DIALOUGE AND SCENE CHANGES TIME

I know Larian said they finally fixed the 'You got something to say' and 'Well Met' issue but I'll belive that when I'm paid to play without mods and see it myself since they've said they've fixed his greetings many times, and the 'Well Met' one as the only time it was any different.

....Changes dialouge forcing me to be harsher to him than I'd ever went to be.

He already has such a slow burn with no act 1 scene at all...Must there be a persuasion roll....

This one literally just changes a camera angle.

SOMETIMES SCENES EXIST THAT JUST END UP IN THE VOID BECAUSE OF BUGS THIS IS ONE OF THEM! Let Wyll be his fanboy self. He's so excited when he hears Jaheria even mention Minsc!

And also so I can avoid leaving my room while he's here because he was Doom Spiraling in a big way about the current administration.
