Lineart of Merry and Florice. I redesigned Florice's outfit a bit, I was going to change colours too but after trying to colour this, I just gave up. I'm happier with this being without colour anyway.

The idea to this was basically ''what if Merry became plague nurse?'' and... that's it. They're both unmasked because I wanted to try and draw faces a bit different (mostly eyes and noses).

There are probably errors. I'm saddened that colouring turned out too difficult but happy at least with this thing.

Faunic/Daunic and Floric definition rewrite/alternative proposal

So, as some of you may be aware, the terms "nonman" and "nonwoman" were used to describe the degendering of black people before they were used in the new most popular lesbian definition, or for faunic/daunic's definition. When nonmen loving nonmen was first proposed as a lesbian definition, a lot of black people protested, and today they ask for the racism aspects to be acknowledged when the definition is talked about and criticized. Because of this, I and I'm sure many others may feel uncomfortable using a definition that uses the terms "nonman" or "nonwoman." These rewrites will preserve the intended meanings of both labels, but will avoid using racist language.

This post is not an attack of floric and faunic's coiner, nor is it one on the first to propose the definitions be used for lesbian and gaylm.

Faunic or Daunic: A person who is not a man, who does not experience attraction to men, but does experience attraction to other genders; a person who isn't a man who is attracted to all genders that are not male, or man-aligned, depending on the user; a person who is not a man who experiences a distinct lack of attraction to men; a person who is something other than a man who only experiences attraction to those who are similarly something other than a man.

Floric: A person who is not a woman, who does not experience attraction to women, but does experience attraction to other genders; a person who isn't a woman who is attracted to all genders that are not female, or woman-aligned, depending on the user; a person who is not a woman who experiences a distinct lack of attraction to women; a person who is something other than a woman who only experiences attraction to those who are similarly something other than a woman.

Both of these definition proposals include a few different ways the original "nonmen loving nonmen" and "nonwomen loving nonwomen" could have been interpreted. I am not the coiner so I do not know which definition was intended, so I included multiple possibilities.

Defined on the LGBTA wiki as: "Pansyic, also known as pansyian, refers to any binary men, men-aligned or non-woman-aligned non-binary individuals who are exclusively attracted to other men or non-women-aligned nonbinary individuals."

Pansyian is an exclusive equivalent to Floric.

Flag Meaning

Dark blue-grey represents love for all body types (bears, twinks, otters, and wolves).

Light blue represents masculinity.

Green represents the historical significance of green carnations in LGBTQ+ history and panysians who are on the aromantic spectrum.

Off white represents anyone underneath the trans umbrella, gender non-comformity, and pronoun non-conformity.

Salmon pink represents femininity, femmes, and love.

Lighter purple represents the history behind lavender flowers in LGBTQ+ history, androgyny, and pansyians who are on the asexual spectrum.

You can't convince me that they didn't want to fuck the second they laid eyes on each other.

Their radar fucking went off and they knew they were the same brand of socially awkward weird, despite manifesting it in different ways.

Honestly the way these guys are opposite and the same is so crazy to me that it feels like my soul is put in a blender every time I think about these two standing next to each other, let alone interacting.

It's the politeness. It's the way you know they're both been outcasts their whole live due to their behaviour. It's how you know they both have urges they can't share with the world.

I can't help but imagine that they have some sort of telepathic connection because their experiences happen to be so similar, yet their lives are completely different.

These two are fated to end badly, and depressed and miserable, because they just can't make friends the normal way™ and they need friends so badly, yet they constantly need to put on a facade to be at least perceived as tolerable. When they're together, this filter is off, and don't get me wrong -they still have a filter- but this one is hardwired into them because of survival and they both know it and try to get around it.

Is it for fun? Is it to have control on the other? Or is it a twisted form of healing the two of them adopt? I literally have no clue but it's spicy. I'd like to suggest that seeing the people involved, this is probably the healthiest relationship they're going to get, and yeah, this makes it sweet because they just... Get each other? And they genuinely seem to care? It's so weird, because at the same time they'd be at each other's throat but in a romantic way that says "you're the love of my life".

Sex doesn't even need to get involved, but sure it's fucked up and messy when it's there. If these two could they would fuse in the same individual Steven-Universe style. Then they would either rule the galaxy or reach enlightenment, I don't fucking know, they're wildcards. They definitely feel like an extreme option tho.

Well, the thing is, I don't know what the Pestilence is, I don't have theory on that sadly. But it is not something like "life itself" as many people seem to think (because it would mean everyone is sick and that's just depressing/impossible for 049).

My theory, however, is that it's not something people "have". It's what they "lack". So yeah, while it is kinda corporeal (or non-corporeal?) foggy/veily entity/malady/concept or whatever you want to call it, I think 049 cures people by first balancing their humors, or else his cure won't work on the body due to imbalance. Once he has cured a person/being, the Pestilence won't affect them again.

Shortly put, people lack something, and that invites Pestilence, or rather Pestilence is that sense of lacking in itself. This might not make sense but it's what I got.

Everyone got their own theories though!
