Of course, I couldn't hold back on making an au for very long. My own Underfell- Yellow Au! I'm basing character ideas off 'obsessions'. So, I suppose if you want to differ this UF from another, call it UFO. ^^

My take on Underfell.. which as far as I can tell, is just edger Undertale. LETS GO! Now have some background.. Starlo grew up in a household where he was very clearly the second son. And for a long time.. he was fine with that.

So fine with the fact he spent a lot of his time in his room after chores, enjoying the very little human content that can be found Underground. Mainly, in the forms of movies smuggled in. In his older teen years, he'd save all the allowance he can, and run off to ask around and pay underhandedly to get more human content. And it only grew.

It, being, his obsession with the villains of human books. From the Sheriff of Nottingham to Buford T. Justice, he found himself drawn to the thought of power. Who wouldn't be?

So, he wrangled up some friends he had around those parts. Ace, local cheat and gambler. Ed, a newcomer to the dunes too strong for his own good. Mooch, petty thief and pickpocket often picked up by the royal guard and nearly killed every time for it, and Moray. The miner's kid, looking for an escape from their family's business.

His business pitch was simple. A fake town, little doozy of a place with all the snaps. A jail, a bar, a hospital, a fake bank to rob, houses, the works. They'd get to run it, and people can pretend they were just a little town on the surface. They'd get paid in 'taxes' and power, and the people get a slice of the surface and entertainment.

The four stopped listening after 'get to run it' and agreed.

Everything went off without a hitch. The people joined out of curiosity, and stayed out of fear of leaving. The Feisty Five declared themselves able to eclipse the swelterstone if they desired, and have the own fun scuffing up the place they created.

And yet.

And yet Star feels like something is missing. Every villain had someone go against them, but these spineless cowards hardly counted as heroes. His first thought..

Ceroba. She was always his better half. Even after she.. left for Chujin, he still cared for her.

Obviously, she declined, because 'the whole thing's a hack'. Star didn't argue, but he was pretty upset after.

His obsession? Finding someone to stop him. Just to complete the fantasy. Just like his movies, his books.. but where was he going to find someone like that?

Someone with so much justice in their soul?

it is legit bizarre to me how hard video game creators and film directors and showrunners try to pretend that fat people don't exist. can you think of the last time you saw a fat person in a lead role? god forbid a fat woman? i can walk down the street or go into a shop or restaurant and see fat people everywhere but then i switch on the tv and suddenly it's like a glimpse into an alternate universe where no one has a bmi over 24. insidious and weird

Watching Star Wars in chronological order is so funny.

Obi-Wan Kenobi really took one look at R2D2 in the middle of the desert and said “No, Luke, I’ve never seen this fucking droid in my life. Looks like a real bitch though. Not that I’d know. This is my first time meeting the asshole.”

No one in that whole franchise was Gatekeep-Gasslight-Girlbossing quite like “Ben” Kenobi, regular human-man.

Honestly, I love it when characters relapse. When someone who’s gotten over their anger issues falls into a situation so out of their depth they fall back on their old habits. When someone who’s learned to open up becomes a recluse again in order to cope with something outside their control.

There’s just something so horrible, so toxic, about watching a character grow and then slip back into their old selves in order to cope, bc you know they still care, that they’re the same inside, but watching them hurt so hard they don’t know what else to do brings a sense of catharsis.

I've had this little idea in my head for a while now, so I decided to sit down and plot it out.

Disclaimer: This isn't meant to be some sort of One-Worksheet-Fits-All situation. This is meant to be a visual representation of some type of story planning you could be doing in order to develop a plot!

Lay down groundwork! (Backstory integral to the beginning of your story.) Build hinges. (Events that hinge on other events and fall down like dominoes) Suspend structures. (Withhold just enough information to make the reader curious, and keep them guessing.)
