in terms of how the girls became a group, originally it was just mary and marlene as a duo. year 1-4, lily was somewhat of a causal friend because she was still tight with snape. (but each year she got closer to both girls). by end of year 4, the duo has organically grown to a trio. off to the side, dorcas and pandora became instant besties in year 3 (i like to think that pandora was a transfer student so they didn’t meet until year 2). marlene and dorcas start dating beginning of year 6, which brings everyone together (until the war tears them apart)
