german is such a wholesome and kind language. it's english if it were phonetically consistent. each letter has one sound - and when there is a different sound, they warn you beforehand with a little ¨ on top. they capitalise all nouns for you in case you don't know how to find them. so cute.
french is such a snarky, mischievous language. it's the english of romance languages - no letter is pronounced the way it should, and there are always too many of them. they will give you a word with like 20 vowels and have the audacity to tell you it only has two syllables.
