Saruman the White ponders his palantír. "You are the trusted apprentice to one of the greatest Wizards in all Middle-earth" in A Spy in Isengard (Angus McBride cover art for Middle-earth Quest gamebook #1 by Terry K Amthor, Iron Crown Enterprises, 1988). McBride has been memed more than once.
Some things I can share now because the book they are for, Into The Tower, is up for international pre-order!
This book is by @haridraws, who is amazing, and it is amazing and incredible, a choose-your-own-path book that is complex and deep and original and made me experience Feelings and also has such a lineup of incredible artists I'm still amazed to find my work among them. Also there is a whole side-quest about woodlice this thing kicks ass.
Thought I'd share a little update on After-Connect.
This is the page format I've tentatively decided on. Illustrated background/border, with a box of text placed somewhere appropriate.
This is the rough draft of the first page. Sketched background. Might make some adjustments before starting the line-art phase.
Any-who, what do you think of this page format? You'll get a feel for the decision making and randomized aspects of the game when I reveal the second page, but I'm just not quite there yet. :p
just when i thought the polish cannot surprise me any further i learn that their latest novel No Coincidences is getting an audiobook version narrated by the queen herself - Cherami Leigh aka female V (or to me - the voice of my precious stupid little meow meow Jaxine).
well played, poles. 👏
no all i need to die utterly happy is a Johnny POV book narrated by good sir Keanu Reeves

Hello, I am the developer of this choicescript game called The Facade. It's story (without spoiling too much) revolves around superheroes who are not what they seem to be. Will you join the corrupt system that harmed you or go against it? Will you be a hero loved by the public or a villain feared by them? The prologue and maybe the first chapter (depending how fast I write it) will be up on dashingdon by Wednesday (probably, if not then by Friday for sure). Feel free to ask any questions about the game and it's plot.
Sphinx, manticore, or lammasu? Some encounters are difficult to identify, but making the wrong call can be disastrous. (Fantasy Forest 7: Castle in the Clouds, Jeff Easley cover art for TSR "Pick a Path to Adventure" game book by Morris Simon, 1984) This series was aimed at younger readers than the similar "Endless Quest" books, but still used some of TSR's in-house talent.
Today I want to show you something, something that I've been waiting a few months to have in my hands to be able to show it in conditions.
.
This is YOU ARE A FILMMAKER the book of the writer @matt_harry_mh in which I have worked contributing with 5 illustrations. An interactive novel with more than 100 different endings where you will be the one who controls and decides which way and end you will take your story. In this video I show you the book and the 5 illustrations I made for this tremendous project.
.
And finally I want to thank Matt for giving me this opportunity and trusting me and my work.
.
By the way, the book is on sale for anyone who is interested.

Greetings to all and see you in the next publication!
the fact that i'm no longer the same age as the protagonists of novels and films i once connected to is so heartbreaking. there was a time when I looked forward to turning their age. i did. and i also outgrew them. i continue to age, but they don't; never will. the immortality of fiction is beautiful, but cruel.
it's always so fascinating and heartbreaking when a character in a story is simultaneously idolized and abused. a chosen prophet destined for martyrdom. a child prodigy forced to grow up too fast. a powerful warrior raised as nothing but a weapon. there's just something so uniquely messed up about singing someone's praises whilst destroying them.
