Zum wiederholten Male fand in Lünen das Brunnenfest statt. Dank meines alten Kumpels Dave von Horror Biz/May The Force Be With You gibt es auf dem Parkplatz des Lükaz auch die Alternative Stage. Gratis tummeln sich hier meist alternativere, aber auch rockige Bands. So kamen wir gerade an, als They Promised Me Ponies aus Dortmund auf der Bühne standen. Danach gab's die altbekannten Stadtrocker Gasoliners, die mit Konfettikanone ihr 20-jähiges Bestehen mit Danksagungen an die Fans zelebrierten und amtlich für die New Yorker Pro-Pain eröffneten. Diese waren natürlich souverän uncd zerlegten mit lautem NYHC Lünen. Alles irgendwie neue Jungs um Frontmann Gary, aber machten ihren Job mehr als gut. Am nächsten Tag konnte ich leider wegen einer anderen Veranstaltung nicht erneut, um mir Tony Gorilla anzusehen, aber manche Kollegenbands sind ja auch gefühlt omnipräsent. Aber insgesamt eine tolle Gratisveranstaltung, von der sich das große Dortmund mal wieder eine Scheibe abschneiden könnte. Lustige Fans und Freunde und ein geiler Abend. Wir haben das Ganze übrigens mit einem Besuch im neuen Hirsch-Q im alten Spirit ausklingen lassen. Komisch. Alles ebenerdig und statt dem im Netz angekündigten Gothic gab's Punk. Aber das gewöhnungsbedürftige Bier hat sich nicht geändert und man kann auch wieder gewohnt draußen sitzen, wenn Deutschland trotz Klimaerwärmung auch mal einen echten Sommer hätte...

Metal Party in Dortmund-Hörde, 17.12.2022

Viele fragten mich, wie es denn nun auf dieser Metal Party war. Zurecht! Was Veranstalter Zimbo da seit 20 Jahren aufzieht, ist ein großer Gewinn für die Dortmunder Metal-Szene. Unschlagbarer Eintrittspreis, jede Menge Bier, gute Bands und tolle Stimmung. Sogar ein Essenswagen in der eisigen Kälte. Freue mich schon auf das nächstemal.

The scent of gasoline was overwhelming.

"You don't- You don't have to do th-this," Whumpee choked. They were forced to their knees, hands bound to a latch on the floor. Their heart pounded, not able to see what whumper was doing behind them.

"Now now, let's not be that way." Whumper poured liquid over whumpee's head as they practically shouted as the cold ran down their spine. They had to hold their breath as the smell of gas and oil was suffocating.

"I know you don't deserve this." Whumper said, pouring out the last drop. "But if your caretaker brings me what I've asked for, you'll be just fine. You'll go free, and after a shower and change of clothes, this will alllll be over." They carelessly tossed the can to the side as whumpee flinched at the noise.

"All of th- this.... F-fo-for wh- a -at" Whumpee choked out their own words.

"Hey hey hey, don't pass out on me. Shhhh, deep breaths. I want you awake when caretaker comes. It helps with the persuasion, especially if you're crying and all." They pinched at a strand of whumpee's hair and felt gasoline seep between their fingers.

They sat next to them and cupped their jaw, making them face the door. Whumpee's heart nearly stopped beating when they heard a gentle *flick* of a lighter being ignited overhead.

"They'll be here any second now." Whumper whispered in their ear.

"Let's hope for your sake that's the case, anyway."
