HI FRIENDS!!!! so i got into cult of the lamb around january and in that time i have worked on a bunch of art and only JUST finished this MONSTER of a project. its taken alot of time because of how slow i am, plus life stuff and other art projects aswell- but MAN IM JUST EXCITED TO FINALLY POST THIS LOL!!! :D!!!!!

so this is my concept art for my lamb characters! i have like 6 different aus already and a few of em has their own version of the lamb and i love them sm- heres some background info on em if ur curious!

Lambert - the Sacred Lamb - genderqueer, they/them - demiro/demisexual - Valais blacknose sheep - weapon of choice: sword based off of my interpretation of the canon lamb and their story! silly, merciful, kind to their flock, but also a tad fucked up. silly lil guy!! silly lil goober! i love them! :D!!! they also have the "vessel and god to enemies to friends to lovers" pipeline with narinder, and lemme tell you when i finally get to drawing art for them its OVER for yall

Sherpa - The Zealot - agender, they/them - demiro/ace - Scottish blackface sheep - weapon of choice: dagger the idea of them was: "what if the lamb had a very unhealthy obsession with religion and their god and was so incredibly fucked up about it" and thats how sherp was born baybeyyyyyyy their story includes alot of dark religious themes and it gets really sad and messed up. their relationship with narinder is reallllll toxic. at first at least. kinda. idk their au has 2 endings and in one it gets better and in the other it gets. alooot worse lol. we love that for them <3

Laramie - The Black Sheep - pengender, they/he/she - pansexual/panromantic/polyamorous - Shetland sheep - weapon of choice: axe so basically. they were inspired by the term black sheep. theyre a lil failure who cant do anything right, has horrible self esteem, and cannot handle being the "prophetic lamb" at all. they die all the time, and many followers ended up losing faith in her early on, its a mess lmao him and narinder dont actually have anything romantic going on, their relationship in this au is moreso a mentor and student type thing. also laramie has a huge polycule by the time narinder is freed. and she also gets downbad for heket when she shows up dfjljhdsfsdfgb

Summary: Ciri learns about the wider variety of gender at Kaer Morhen

Ciri had always expected to live her life in Cintra, after all she was the heir to the throne, the Lioncub of Cintra. At the very least she’d assumed that she might move to Skellige, with Eist’s ties to the Isles, and her grandmother’s dedication to the union between the two kingdoms, Ciri was sure she was bound to end up betrothed to one of the Jarl’s children.

Nilfgaard had changed everything.

Even with the rumours about her Destiny, and murmurs of the White Wolf. Ciri had never expected to find her new family in a ruined keep in the Blue Mountains during the dead of winter, but Destiny was a mysterious force that worked in equally mysterious ways. She still mourned her blood, but the family she had found in the witcher’s keep was invaluable, more than she could have ever asked for. Not only could they give her the skills to defend herself and survive in the cruel war-torn land they now lived in, they were also the most peculiar ragtag group of people Ciri had ever met.

When she’d first seen Geralt bathing on the way up to Kaer Morhen, she hadn’t questioned the uniform scars on his chest. He was a witcher and witchers had scars, that was just a fact, but when Eskel had pulled his shirt up one day to reveal matching scars… she began to get suspicious and the questions had started. She had been shocked to learn that both witchers had been born girls… or something like that. She was still trying to understand the language they used, assigned female, if she remembered correctly.

Jaskier had been absolutely thrilled when he’d learned Ciri was asking questions about gender, perking up from his favourite spot in Geralt’s lap to announce that he didn’t give a shit about gender or pronouns and people could refer to him however they felt most comfortable. Ciri tended to use ‘he’ out of habit, but she’d heard Geralt and the others refer to Jaskier as ‘they’ or ‘she’ at times as well.

And then there was Aiden, Lambert’s partner, who was very much neither a man nor a woman. They often used make-up to change the shape of their face, almost like magic, looking more masculine or feminine depending on their mood. It was incredible…

And Ciri wanted it.

She’d always hated being treated like a girl, being seen as less because she was a girl. She enjoyed wearing boy clothes just as much as her pretty dresses, sometimes even more, but she’d just assumed that all girls felt like that. Most of her friends at the castle had been boys after all.

But… Did that mean she was a they?

Could she be not a girl and still refer to herself as ‘she’?

It was all very confusing and it was giving her a headache.

“Alright, cub?” Aiden asked, leaning against the doorframe to the library. Their long dark hair loose for a change, damp and curly as it rested on the towel slung around their shoulders.

“Just thinking,” Ciri hummed, pressing her fingers to her forehead in the way she had often seen Geralt do when he was exasperated with Jaskier.

“About?”

“What if I’m not a girl?” she whined, falling backward onto the wolfskin rug in front of the hearth, staring up at the ceiling with a heavy sigh. “I didn’t even realise that was possible until coming here.”

“And now you’re not sure?” Aiden pressed, coming to sit next to her, pulling her head into their lap so they could card their fingers through her hair.

“No,” she pouted.

“Well, that’s alright. We’re older than we look, you know. It’s taken us years to work it out, and you’re just a kid,” Aiden reassured her, a low purr started to rumble in their chest, “and if you never figure it out, that’s alright too.”

“What if I change my mind?”

“Little lion cub, nothing in life is constant, change is inevitable,” Aiden laughed, pressing a kiss to her forehead. “Lambert is still trying to figure out whether he’s a man who likes dresses or something else, and he’s old enough to be your grandfather.”

Ciri giggled and snuggled up closer to the cat witcher. Geralt might be her Destiny, but these people were all her family, and she couldn’t be more content.

Aiden was dying. He must be. There was no other reasonable explanation.

He must have eaten something that didn’t agree with him. Maybe something from that restaurant Lambert took him to yesterday? He thought there was something dodgy about it at the time.

He was bent double and groaning when Lambert entered the room.

“What is wrong with you? You look terrible.”

“Thanks love. You look like shit too.”

Lambert drew closer and put his palm on Aiden’s forehead. “Why don’t I get you a drink?”

“Urg my stomach hurts and my back is killing me! I think I have food poisoning from last night.”

“I feel ok and we ate the same thing. Must be something else.”

“Like what?”

“Dunno. I’ll make you a nice cup of tea and you go sit on the sofa with a blanket.”

That sounded like a great idea, except Aiden didn’t really want to move from the foetal position he was curled up in. He made the effort though and dragged himself to the sofa and turned on the TV.

He started flicking through the channels until he found a re-run of an old Midsummer Murders episode to watch. He loved to try and work out the killer before the detectives did. They were always so useless. Lambert came back and gave him the drink, and they snuggled on the sofa, watching as DCI Barnaby slowly unravelled the case. He asked Lambert if there was any chocolate in the flat. He had a sudden craving for it.

Whilst Lambert was hunting for sugar, Aiden decided it was time to go to the loo. He hated watching the adverts on this channel. They were always either something terribly sad like donate money to abandoned kittens, buy our mobility scooters, or spend money on bingo and get into terrible debt because look at how much fun we’re having.

“Fuck!” he shouted from the bathroom.

Lambert came running up to the door, asking what was wrong.

By now Aiden was crying into a wad of toilet tissue. “My fucking period! Why the fuck! I hate it. Stupid womb, stupid menstrual cycle. Why does this keep on happening Lambert? Make it stop!”

“I’m sorry darling, that’s really shit. Do you have any pads left? If not I can go out and get some, it’s not too late.”

“No, Don’t worry, I have some in the cabinet. I just fucking hate it, you know? I thought with the medication I wouldn’t get my periods anymore, then this fucking happens.”

“I know love. Do you want a hug to make you feel better?”

“Yes please.”

It made sense, but he really had thought that his days of menstruating were behind him. What was the point of having the stupid injection if it didn’t even fucking work? At least Lambert was there for him, he always made him feel better. He felt less like a freak of nature.

Soon he was back on the sofa, with a blanket, fresh hot water bottle and chocolate, snuggled up with Lambert, who had promised to run him a nice bath later and maybe even a back massage. he looked at the Ginger-haired man next to him and thought to himself that he was so lucky to have found him.

Happy Birthday, Fine Line! Have a Louis show! (Seriously, why can’t I get cool shows for my birthday like that??). So today’s been a busy week, huh? 

It is, of course, Fine Line’s anniversary, and the celebration kicked off last night, with a twitter emoji (it's Harrrry! Doing the FL pose so so tiny!) and the DYKWYA website changing. It’s pink and black and blue and white, and now tells us that we’re “loyal” and “marvelous” and “memorable” and “powerful” and “rare” and “real” and “staying six feet apart” (or 70 other lovely options). So either HSHQ got their thesaurus out, or they tuned into Louis’ show last night, because that’s EXACTLY how I would describe it. Anyways, the day started with a Harry sighting! Well, a video from last week that is, of him doing a MakeaWish FaceTime in a blue snapback. And then there was a Harry Lambert interview, where he directly addressed the discourse around Harry’s fashion choices, saying, “Harry will never wear something that he doesn’t want to wear...I always say, 'I‘m not doing my job if I’m making someone wear things' because I just think if someone gets comfortable in what they’re wearing, then it doesn’t matter if I think it looks good.” He went on to say, “There’s never an element of me forcing him to wear anything”. So - TAKE THAT, transphobes! We all recognize that saying “the mean gay man is making Harry look gay/genderqueer” is, uh, a REALLY bad take, right? Anyways, hopefully that’s the end of it, but we all know it won’t be. He also told us that Harry chose the (fake) pearls, asking “can I just wear these every day?” and they were only replaced with real ones after that strand broke, that he tried to get H out of the Vans for the Golden vid but he said nah, and about the Golden and WS videos “I kind of saw it as the same man just in a different place in the world” which, well- yeah? But the implication that that man was not Harry is interesting. Aside from that, we got some more terrible merch from HSHQ (including a shirt that is a glove with legs stuck on it, wtf), a few celebratory tweets from HSHQ, The Forum, Jeff Azoff (there's a theme here lol) etc, AND! A post from Harry himself: “I couldn’t be more grateful for you all continually finding new ways to change my life. Thank you for listening, and for everything else. I love you always, but especially today. H”. What? That’s his name, isn’t it? 

But, of course, H wasn’t the only one celebrating online today! Louis came back and answered some of our questions about the show. The first is that he sold over - are you ready for this? - OVER 160,000 tickets for the show, making it the biggest online show of 2020 by a solo male artist, and the third largest overall of the year. Even the Sun had to admit how “exceptional” that is, describing the show as "the equivalent of eight nights at London’s O2 Arena." Doing the math, this means he raised over $3.1 million from ticket sales alone! HOLY SHIT! Hearing that, Louis came on twitter to say (in reply to a quote by his PR company lmao), “This is truly incredible. No major label, no radio, yet here we are. The feeling of support I get from you all every time I do something is unbelievable. Forever Thankful! And they never see us coming!”. Of course, this incited another round of label discourse, wondering if this means he is still an unsigned artist. Does this simply mean the livestream wasn't put on by a label, yes, does Louis absolutely know about the discourse and is he being deliberate, I would also say unmistakeably yes. Which is not to say we know ELSE it might mean -- is he signed to an indie? Still label shopping and waving how much more they need him than vice versa in the hopefuls' faces? Signed but the contract doesn't start until there's a record in play (which when you negotiate your own contract and establish artistic freedom, as we can be very sure was Louis' priority, is what labels DO - they don’t manage every aspect of an artists career)? Signed by a major label, but shading the FUCK out of Syco about radio play for Walls? What we DO know is that it wasn't a label that put the livestream on, and damn if that doesn’t make it 1000% more badass. “Memorable”, “powerful”, and “rare” indeed! He’s still early in the process of LT2, as he told us yesterday, so we might have to wait a little longer to figure out what’s happening business-wise, but he made sure to tell everyone that his fans were an integral part of his processing the most inspiring way possible: “the power and the magic comes from the people you guys,” I COULD CRY that's MY inspirational leader THANK YOU. He goes on to say “don't undermine your role in all this... together with your support we're unstoppable!” He also called us “fucking relentless” (god knows that's true) as Walls hit the charts AGAIN, and talked about how the money raised will go a long way. “WE did that!!”

And with that, let’s talk a little bit more about last night’s (“bold”, “extraordinary”) show! ‘‘Copy’ is making its rounds on the internet, but YouTube continues to take down recordings of the show, which SUCKS, because everyone should be able to see it! Maybe in a few days when some time has passed, they’ll let it go up without an issue, or maybe they'll answer our pleas (come through one more time Louis!) and put out a DVD (and live album too how about, YES? Yes.), til then there are the downloads going around tumblr! Good thing we got Louis' seal of approval or just imagine the discourse. The ‘H’ shirt Louis was wearing last night is a Reebok shirt, which was being distributed in a few different places, such one where you could get a discount if you used the code ‘HL40’ and another where it was $28, lol. Was it the loudest Louis shirt ever- I mean I would say an unqualified NO but many are voting YES and are reeling so that's really fun! Welcome to the gang guys. Not likely to win any awards for being loud with such incredible competition but still very good SBBing-- Louis was wearing a stuffed bear t shirt in rehearsal pics. When you know you know, I guess! ;) The band is also soaking in the praises (as they should!) and have been re-posting fans’ stories on Instagram all day (as did LTHQ) - cheers, boys! 

Today’s Liam and Roman alarm was ALL us (well, not allll us, Roman did explain that the alarms would feature fans every Sunday, but then he handed the mic over). “Waking up to Liam and Roman is the best thing EVER! I don’t know why it gives me so much serotonin,” said one fan. I do! It’s because Liam is a real, live puppy dog and he’s so genuinely sweet to his fans. Love him lots, but I love him even MORE when he’s ON the advent alarm!

While I do think your take on Harry and gender is extremely valid, I also think it’s important to note that most of us having discussions surrounding Harry’s identity are merely suggesting a possibility, as you briefly mentioned through the contradiction of the anon’s use of “conclude”. I think it’s also important to note that a lot of the time, it’s trans folk conducting these discussions due to seeing themselves in Harry and his songs. I’m unaware of your gender identity, and it’s not necessary of me to know, but I just thought I would mention that I am genderqueer myself.

Going back to Harry, I find significance in a lot of what he says, these two hitting me particularly hard: “I don’t remember the toast but I remember the feeling,” which he says in reference to wearing someone’s dress while drunk in Jamaica, and “what’s feminine and what’s masculine... it’s like there are no lines any more.” There are more quotes from him, particularly surrounding self-discovery, women’s clothing, as well as Lights Up, but I don’t feel the need to make this message any longer.

I also think that he speaks about it in his music, specifically in She and Fine Line, but I think that themes of gender can be found in a lot of his songs.

There are also multiple instances of the people around Harry referring to him in the feminine or using neutral phrases, particularly Nick Grimshaw, Harry Lambert, Alessandro Michelle, Gemma, and Harris Reed, who is genderfluid himself and has referred to Harry as fluid before.

I will avoid talking about his clothing and accessory choices for the time being, as anyone can wear anything, and speaking about him wearing what’s considered traditionally feminine through this lens doesn’t particularly mean anything unless you buy into what I believe to be his own self-discovery.

I also think that on its own, the Fine Line colors are nothing of significance. That is, until you factor in that Harry worked with a gay photographer named Tim Walker on that shoot, and that this photographer consistently explores queer themes. Still could mean nothing, of course, and is dodgy reasoning without much else, but I still find it interesting.

I will also think on what you said about the Love Band outfits. I had never thought about it that way, but then again, I didn’t pay much attention to whether Harry was wearing both colors to begin with, as I didn’t think it was particularly indicative of anything in the way I find Harry’s own words to be. This obviously doesn’t excuse him from his weird differentiation between the the masculine presenting and feminine presenting folks in his band. Much to think about here.

Overall, we might agree to disagree, and I will still look to you for opinions on 1D politics as I find your discussions extremely fascinating and enlightening, and there’s nothing wrong with not buying into a thought process, and you have been nothing but respectful. Even if you think I’ve blown it out of proportion and am needlessly inserting my identity into Harry, I just wanted to mention those few things because for I and many others, it goes beyond just the color of the Fine Line album cover or discussions surrounding the unfairly binaried outfits for the Love Band. I was unsure if you were aware of any conversation beyond that. Please also note that is only a brief rundown. Thank you for reading, and please excuse the fact that this message is ungodly long.

I'm really glad that you find some resonance in Harry. It sounds like following Harry has helped you explore and understand yourself. I think that's really cool and I love reading about people's experiences of that. I'm sure there's lots I haven't seen, when it comes to fandom discussion of Harry and gender, but my post wasn't supposed to be comprehensive either in my own views or what I've seen. I just wanted to say 'I dislike the discussion when there's certainty' and mention a couple of things that I had been thinking recently.

As you picked up, I responded in a particular way because the original ask had a level of certainty, and certainty does bother me in this discussion. I probably would have emphasised that a little less if the starting point had have been different.

I also think I maybe wasn't as clear as I wanted to be - I think it's possible Harry is trans, I also think it's possible that Harry is a cis-man who is interested in engaging with femininity. I go backwards and forwards over which I think is more likely over time. I certainly didn't intend to deny the possibility, just when it's presented as a certainty.

I do know that a lot of the time it's trans people talking about Harry and gender (but I do see quite a lot among cis fans as well). Like I said I think it's fantastic that Harry resonates with people and those conversations are really great.

But I don't think Harry has to be trans for those resonances, realisations and discussions to be valid, useful and important for those who take part in them. Art that resonates with you is art that resonates you, whatever is going on with the artist.

⚠️Spoilers to Rocky Horror⚠️

Pointing out everything wrong (and right) with the 2016 Rocky Horror Picture Show, both my own opinion and actually compared to the original

I typed these as it was happening so they are all my first thoughts

Wrong: They didn’t have the iconic lips singing at the beginning.

Right: Ryan McCartan is Brad.

Wrong: It’s more modern.

Wrong: It’s too clean.

Right: They seem to have kept the original songs, and they gave credit to my boi for the shit.

Wrong: Riff Raff and Magenta didn’t sing the “Janet” and “Oh Brad” parts in the first song.

Right: Tim Curry is in this.

Wrong: They try too hard to talk like the right time period. It sounds unrealistic.

[I genuinely think they were going for Riff has a crush on Frank’n’Futer. And that’s not a weird headcanon, it really does seeem like he was going for Frank’Futer. They way Riff looks at him and acts, and he looks at Rocky with a burning hatred in his eyes when rocky is with Frank’n’Futer. It’s weird. I’ll provide evidence in another post, and when I do I’ll link it here]

[Riff seems more sensitive. He has more raw emotions. Like he gets really excited and overly excited and he gets scared. In the og if I remember correctly he didn’t have as much emotion as Reeve does.]

Wrong: Rocky acts too animated and weird

Wrong: In the og it was Riff, Magenta and Columbia singing the backup vocals, not the entire ensemble.

Wrong: Casting Adam Lambert as Eddie was not a great choice. I love Adam Lambert but Eddie doesn’t fit him at all.

Wrong: Eddie is stabbed and falls out the window instead of being chopped up in a freezer.

[Riff just smacked Rocky’s ass lmao]

[Poor Riff he looked very uncomfortable in the elevator with Rocky and Frank’n’Furter]

Wrong: They really oversexualized this movie. It was already sexual but they really bumped it up a lot.

Wrong: The scenes with Janet/Brad with Frank’n’Furter are just the same scene with the different partner

Wrong: I know this is an odd complain but Rocky’s shorts are wrong. In the original the shorts were iconic to the character and they changed them.

Wrong: They didn’t do the part where a bunch of characters say creature of the night wtf

[Heres something fun, the way Riff Raff dresses in this is very similar to how Reeve dresses in real life]

[Okay here’s something. In the original movie I don’t think they ever say Riff’s name? And they never say he’s magenta’s brother in the actual movie. But in this one they do. To quote “Oh magenta I’m so great full for you and your brother Riff Raff”]

Wrong: Columbias singing voice is wrong.

Right: Ryan McCartan is really good as Brad. His voice is perfect.

Right: The girl that plays Janet isn’t bad

Wrong: there’s a band in the iconic radio thingy scene.

Wrong: Frank’n’Furter is a male or genderqueer presenting fem with male pronouns. The girl that played him is good and I think, again, as an adaptation it’s good. But not accurate to the original movie, that’s why I’m putting it as a wrong.

[Brad kissed Rocky...? Brad??? Brad?!]

Wrong: There’s too many people in the ending song. It should just be Columbia Rocky Brad Janet Frank’n’Furter and Dr Scott, then Riff and Magenta at the end, not the entire ensemble.

[RIFFS OUTFIT OH MY GODS YES YES!!!!]

Wrong: The entrance wasn’t as dramatic but I’m willing to forgive because Reeve Carney

[Did riff try to look up Frank’n’Furter’s skirt and then shake his head like “No homo no homo-“]

Right: Reeve Carney is perfect as Riff, couldn’t choose anyone better.

Right: Riff Raff has more lines

[Riff Raff: Say goodbye to all of... *gesture to his ass* This~]

Wrong and right???: Riff is a lot more sensitive. He has more motivation to kill them because they always hurt him when he just wanted them to like him.

Right: Magenta and Riff do a little time warp reprise

Wrong: They should end the movie when Riff and Megenta leave, not with a final song from Brad and Janet
