Genderfluid micro label of the week: Genderselkie

Genderselkie is a form of genderfluidity. Genderselkie people can be fluid between any genders except male or masculine ones. This can for example encompass female, feminine genders, unaligned genders and xenogenders. Genderselkie is similar to genderfae, but it's specifically for xenogenders and uncommon genders.

For the whole set I posted (not just this post), some flags are more noticeably changed, some are only subtle color changes, and some aren't changed at all. My main focus was making them a cohesive set, and making the way the colors were used match. So I'm not claiming these are my creations, or completely original.

The xenogender ones are all vertically flipped. Originally just to go along with the style gendersatyr had, but I think the flip looks good and makes them more distinct. Granted, all of the genderfluid fragment flags are pretty similar to each other, and they rely on small color differences to separate them, but I think this helps.

I can always edit them more to be higher contrast, or include other flags, if anyone wants.

People are welcome to use these, but are not obligated to. I know there are already well used flags for these terms, this is just my take on it.

And hey, it's still pretty cool to see all these flags together right? I don't even know if anyone else has made a post like this for all of these.

Something that has been bothering me is that a lot of people lump genderfluid under nonbinary, even though a lot, though certainly not all, genderfluid people are fluid between binary genders.

Take me, for example. I'm fluid between many genders, both binary and nonbinary. So, when I hear or see genderfluid referred to as just another nonbinary identity, it feels a bit like you're erasing my gender identity.

Like I said before, not all genderfluid people are fluid between binary genders. There are a lot who are only fluid between nonbinary genders, or xenogenders, or other genders that are not binary. But lumping all of us under nonbinary can hurt, because it feels like you're not seeing us as genderfluid, you're seeing us as "just another nonbinary gender"
