Heyyyy so about that pjo/batfam au.... I love it.

I wonder if any of the bat kids are legacies or half bloods? Like, they'd be ripe for urgent adoption and training, given the inherent risk of monsters! Not to mention the specially bred deep rooted battle/hero instincts. Would only some be half bloods? Any? How would that affect the dynamics, to have some (or just B) be aware of and able to interact with this whole secret world complete with monsters hidden in plain sight?? There's got to be tons of secret pjo resource stashes like different metals, foods, weapons, armour hidden everywhere hehe.

Ooh, would a bat kid ever have accidentally eaten ambrosia/nectar (or gotten close) without knowing what it is? Is Alfred a legacy?? A satyr?!! That'd be so so cool. (and it'd be an explanation for how long lived he is lmao)

If the batkids were all legacies/half bloods, who would be who? Would there be a mix of greek/roman? Is Bruce aware of the Egyptians or Norse lot?? I'm so curioussssss

ooo okay so the batkids! i explained it like... a year ago (jeez) in this post but here's the basic rundown:

Bruce: Athena (three parents, complicated situation)

Dick: Hermes (three parents, uncomplicated situation)

Babs: mortal, clearsighted, not The Oracle but calls herself Oracle

Jason: Nemesis (still working this one out)

Cass: Shiva/Nike, raised by David Cain

Tim: Bellona/Janet (who is a legacy of zeus)

Steph: Apollo

Damian: Legacy Athena/Hades

Duke: normal ("normal") meta but everyone up to and including Apollo thinks he's Apollo's kid

There are definitely stashes of demigod resources! most of the stock is in the Batcave, but they definitely have stashes in all the safehouses. They're basically like any other resource- medical supplies, celestial bronze dagger, batarangs, smoke pellets, ambrosia, etc. Considering that celestial bronze and nectar/ambrosia are pretty rare, i doubt they're using them daily, but everyone definitely has emergency demigod equipment on them. I'm also making Gotham a Land Beyond Gods, a la Alaska in SoN, so there's less of a monster problem than other cities. Gotham kinda like the trash dump of the demigod world- all the weird fucked up stuff ends up there for our intrepid heroes to get chased by.

Most of the Batkids are aware of who they are, eventually! Bruce, Cass, and Damian always know, Dick and Jason figure it out pretty quickly after living with Bruce, Tim figures it out himself before becoming Robin, and Steph only figures it out after she "dies" (poor guy). Bruce isn't very good with the Mist, and monsters aren't like, a huge problem in Gotham, so it's not really a big deal to them if they are/aren't demigods. Babs kept up just fine as a mortal, after all. Like i said earlier, ambrosia/nectar are in short supply in Gotham (bruce doesn't really have a consistent way of getting more besides through diana, who also doesnt really have a consistent way of getting more), so nobody's eating any by accident.

I have literally no idea what's going on with Alfred. I joked a while back that he's a minor god, which I'm not opposed to, I'd just have to work that one out a bit more. The satyr idea is fun and works really well, except imagining Alfred with goat legs and eating aluminum cans freaks me out and I don't know what to do about that. He could also just be a mortal blessed by [insert god here] to have a longer lifespan, or someone who made a deal with [insert god here] to be alive as long as Bruce/the Wayne family needs him. It'll be interesting to figure out, whenever I end up doing that!

Bruce and Co. are NOT aware of the other pantheons! As in, they are so unaware of the other pantheons that nobody can figure out who the fuck Tim's godly parent is. Bellona is on nobody's radar, everyone is split between Ares/Dionysus/Athena/????. They also haven't figured out he's a Zeus legacy, because his ancestor fled to Gotham during WW2 and then did their best to hide their heritage for their and their kids' safety. Poor guy doesn't know what the fuck is going on, basically. Bruce is actually pretty cut off from CHB, so he's not super up-to-date about the demigod world. He tends to focus more on the superhero side of things. His kids have varying levels of interest/affiliation with the demigods, but they're definitely not on the "first to know" end of news whenever things happen. It takes a hot minute for anyone to figure out the Romans exist, and considering that Percy and Annabeth try pretty hard to conceal the Egyptian and presumably Norse pantheons, we can assume the Batfam isn't aware of those guys for quite a bit after the Greeks learn about them.

All I have to say about the Jason and Luke thing is that Anastasia has a TYPE.

AHHHHH OKAY OKAY so on the batfam side everyone except Bruce and Dick are demigods bc I think it’s funny.

Alfred- Themis, who’s actually a titaness but she’s actually the titan of justice, divine law, divine order, and custom, which is perfect for him (also that makes the fates his sisters which is hilarious to me).

Selina- Hermes obviously.

Jason- Poseidon bc I’m obsessed with it within the context of him dying 4 months before his 16th birthday??? Like I’m having so much fun with that.

Cass- Ares which I feel is self explanatory, but I’m also obsessed with her having to reconcile being the child of the god of violent, bloody war and her childhood (I might actually end up writing a connecting oneshot just exploring that).

Steph- Hermes the vibes are there and again, loving playing with the parallels of Arthur Brown being a villain she has to fight and the Luke, who’s her brother.

Tim- Athena duh.

Duke- APOLLOOOOO. NOT JUST BC OF THE LIGHT THING BUT HE CANONICALLY HAS SO PRECOGNITION ABILITIES IN CANON?? too perfect.

Damian- Damian is actually a legacy, not a demigod. Ra’s is a son of Hades. I had a fun idea about Lazarus Pits being corrupted wells of the Styx that crossed over into the mortal world.

And I think this will be the first time I post about this part, but Jason is going to be a part of the Luke, Thalia, and Annabeth crew. Luke ends up in Gotham when he goes south from Connecticut and they meet first. This is both so him and Luke have a good relationship and because Jason and Thalia being close is why Zeus doesn’t just kill him 😭.

ALSO ALSO Roy is a son of Hephaestus (blessed by Apollo bc Oliver is an Apollo kid (all Oliver’s kids are blessed by him but Roy is the only one that’s also a demigod)) and I have a really funny scene of Jason meeting the Titans for the first time and they’re like

bc Roy and Anastasia have a brother-sister relationship so Roy and Jason know each other pretty well. Also the demigods know superhero identities bc of Roy and Oliver.

BIOGRAPHY

the premise of this game is that the greek gods are alive and well. godly monsters (medusa, hydra, etc.) are real too, but they’re human. Monsters, Demigods and Gods all have these powers called “auras” which are like giant astral projection things that they can fight with snuierj idk how else to explain it. Those auras are based in artifacts that they have to wear on them in order to use them. The MC works at an organization called HERA that keeps the gods and their world a secret from the humans and protects them and stuff. First game to have a NB LI, which is??? the best.

cassidy is my interpretation of the main character of this game, and i've based her loosely off of astraeus' route. her mother founded h.e.r.a, alongside aphrodite, and she's been working there since she got out of high school to try to keep her mother's legacy alive. when she was 24, she got put on a case with hades and the two fell in love, resulting in an engagement the next year what cassidy didn't know (and hades did) is that hera was dormant inside of her, and in order for the top tier gods to be whole and full power again, cassidy would have to undergo a ritual to give her body to hera. while he consciousness would still be in there, cassidy was afraid that hera's personality would be all consuming and she would essentially die, and was upset that hades didn't seem to care that she would be dying, and that he kept pushing this. that lead to an absolute meltdown. cassidy snapped at him and called off the engagement. she disappeared from h.e.r.a, and when hades and the top tier gods came hunting for her to change her into something she wasn't, astraeus came and save the day, taking her down to tartarus, where the gods couldn't reach her between cassidy, astraeus, selene and helios, the titans concocted a plan to take down olympus for good, and essentially ended up killing all of the top tier gods-- surprisingly, with the help from hera, who was dormant inside of cassidy. cassidy figures that it was because hera didn't agree with what was happening either, and was supporting her fellow woman. hera's power still lives within cassidy, and she can use it as she pleases. she and astraeus, with the help of the twins, work together to keep earth peaceful, so no other power has the same iron grip that the olympians did.

I love giving Jason and Cass soft and 'kiddy' traits/interests and am pretty confident in most of the time because i've consumed almost everything for the both of them but sometimes i feel the need to clarify that i do because it of reverse projection(me being super soft and kiddy with some edgy tendencies).I think Jason's a huge asshole who's wrong a lot of the time-or even most times really-and that Cass is the most hardcore chick in multiple DC dimensions and should hate him but i also like making my comfort characters just like me fr(Just not near eachother unless she's bullying him)

I've got a Pjo x Spiderverse x DC crossover i'm working on but i have exactly zero interest in any of the characters joining the Batfam and i actually actively dislike that idea.Instead,my ways of combining the verses are:

Sally has color changing eyes because she has kryptonian ancestry thanks to interdimensional shenanigans and that's why Percy is even stronger than your average Big Three Kid.Their kryptonian names after joining the Superfam are Sal-El and Per-El,Percy also ends up getting her own symbiote(I'm firmly on the team that she's a trans woman)and her superhero name is Hydro

Miles becomes a Blue Lantern and gets Apollo's blessing thanks to his sheer love for art and working so hard to be good at it

Jason ends up turning into a Spider Mutant similar to Miguel because of him and Percy are on a team with Miles and so much exposure of his Lazarus Pit dna to Miles' Spiderperson kind and his alias is 'Batspider'

Green Lantern!Annabeth because her being a Wonderfam member feels like repeat of Cassie and the GL are severely underrated and she'd have so much fun bullying the guys

Hazel gets bitten by a radioactive spider and becomes the Spiderwoman of Earth 27(Pjo earth),earning the nickname 'Pinkspider' and befriends a post canon event Peni as they help eachother heal

Thalia turns into a Speedster and goes under 'Shockstrike'

Nico joins in on superheroing to help Percy and Hazel as 'Ghost King'

Cass is a Hades legacy on David's side and that's why she survived his training.She also becomes close to Nico and Hazel because of this

Parents:

Bruce: Complicated situation, but he’s simultaneously Thomas, Martha, and Athena’s baby. Athena fell in love with both Thomas and Martha, but Martha was already pregnant, so instead of Bruce popping out of Athena’s brain she just kinda put some of herself into the baby and boom Bruce is an Athena kid. Don’t question it, they’re gods they can do that

Dick: Another threesome baby. John, Mary, and Hermes. Unlike Bruce, there was in fact sex involved.

Jason: Zeus + Shelia. (There’s no great prophecy in this au).

Tim: Bellona + Janet. (shoutout to lai for suggesting someone be a bellona kid <3). Janet is a Zeus legacy many generations removed. The legacy ran away to Gotham to avoid getting pulled into WW1 because Gotham is DC’s alaska- the land without gods. They were also a particularly weak demigod, and after a few generations the powers are basically nonexistent, so Janet didn’t know she was a legacy.

Steph: Apollo+crystal

Cass: Nike+Shiva. David Cain coerces Shiva into having a kid the same way he did in canon, but instead he then makes a deal with Nike for her to have a child with Shiva in exchange for (insert something idk). He wants the perfect weapon and he is going to get it goddamn it.

Damian: Bruce (Athena) + Talia (Hades legacy).

Duke: Elaine+Gnomon. He’s a meta with the same powers as canon. Everyone thinks his father is Apollo, including Apollo. It will be a surprise when it comes out that this is not in fact true
