Pairing: Aemond Targaryen x cousin!reader
Summary: After long years without seeing each other, Aemond is reunited with his cousin who came from Dragon Stone for a festival in the kingdom. And after a warm reunion in the library Aemond decides, against his better judgment, to visit his cousin's room just as they did when they were younger before her father, Prince Daemon, took her to Dragon Stone. He just didn't count on the fact that things could get so out of his control.
WARNING: 18+ mdni! Smut, p in v, fingering, Oral Sex, loss of virginity, no description for reader.

Author's note: This One shot is a deleted scene from a chapter of a long fic I've been writing for a while. However, after writing it, I didn't think the scene was so consistent with the story's setting and I rewrote it differently, so I decided to share the deleted scene with you. I hope you like it, and again English is not my first language.
Aemond knew he shouldn't be there. Not after what had happened in the library, he knew he was playing with his luck, testing his own self-control. But he couldn't help it. Y/n was so close, he knew how to get to her, it wouldn't be long now before she would have to return to Dragon Stone again, and then he didn't know when he would see her again.
— To hell with it. — He sighed before pushing the wall and finding himself inside the wardrobe of Y/n's room. Aemond took a deep breath and knocked twice on the wardrobe door from the inside.
— Aem? — Came her sweet voice with expectation and a slight fear outside.
— Yes, it's me. — He replied nervously and then the light illuminated the dark wardrobe as Y/n opened the door smiling at him. Aemond tried, but couldn't help but look from top to bottom, she was only wearing a nightgown with a very thin fabric and a silk and lace cloak on top.
— Hey. — She said shyly as she closed the front part of the slip, better hiding her body from his eyes.
— Hello. — Aemond cleared his throat a little nervously — I thought we would read a little, just like the old days.
He lifted the book "Tales of Ancient Valyria" that he had in his hands, still inside her wardrobe, her favorite book, and Y/n's eyes lit up.
— Well, first you need to get out of the wardrobe. — Her playful voice made Aemond's body relax as he smiled and lowered his head to get out of the furniture without hitting the top. He then saw Y/n's eyes staring at him in awe.
— What it was? — He smiled, already out of the wardrobe and facing Y/n in the room.
— You got so tall. — She spoke simply.
— Did you just realize that now? — Aemond frowned, teasing her.
— Certainly not. — She laughed. — But it's strange to see you coming out of the wardrobe so big, when the last time you did that we were practically the same height.
Aemond smiled and guided her by the hand to the rug in front of the fireplace, feeling the skin on his hands tingle where his palm met hers. He sat on the floor and just like when they were younger, Y/n sat next to him, leaning her head on Aemond's shoulder gently, and the prince had to hold back a sigh.
He began to read aloud the Valyrian words from the book that he already knew by heart from so many times he had read it with her in mind. Aemond practically recited the stories, and barely wasted time looking at the pages, focusing too much on admiring the beauty of the princess lying on his shoulder.
— Se skori janderys geptot, zȳhon ābrazȳrys ozmijiō zirȳla tolvie tubis, se ziry jumban syt zȳhon amāzigon, gīda skori everyone ivestretan zȳhon ziry istan. — Aemond recited this part almost whispering, lost amid Y/n's beauty.
"And when Janderys was gone, her wife missed her every day. She waited patiently for her return, even when everyone told her it was impossible."
After that part, Y/n looked at Aemond and he didn't dare look in another direction, he just got lost in the beautiful eyes that he loved so much. Her sweet smell entering his nostrils intoxicated him and he felt his entire body shudder from one moment to the next with her proximity. The lack of control almost took over him once again, as had become common in the last few days, but this time he got up quickly, leaving the book lying on the carpet next to Y/n.
Aemond pulled away a little as he tried to regain his senses and contain the urge to kiss her again, just like he had done in the library. When they were children everything was so much simpler. Why now that he was a man couldn't he just sit on the rug and read a book with her without feeling like he was going to combust?
And just as thoughts were starting to flow again in Aemond's mind he felt the touch of Y/n's hand on his shoulder, the intoxicating smell once again overwhelming him.
— Aem? — She called him with that sweet voice that did things to his mind that he never thought possible. Aemond pressed firmly on the eye, keeping it firmly in place. — Are you okay?
— I am. — He turned back to Y/n, trying to maintain his composure, but as soon as he turned back, his gaze went straight to her red lips. Aemond quickly looked away, trying to look anywhere but at her lips. But then... his eyes fell onto the bedside table and the prince's eye pupil dilated instantly.
The tournament crown he had given her.
— You brought it with you.
— Of course, it's not every day that I'm crowned the queen of love and beauty by the greatest warrior in the kingdom.
His words awakened something within him that he hadn't yet realized. Such a feeling of possession and pride washing over him that Aemond could barely breathe, he didn't want to breathe, unless the air was the same as Y/n's.
The memory of the sounds she made against his neck in the library while she rubbed against his clothed thigh and that he tried not to think about tonight at all costs flooded his mind, the way she looked at him full of desire when he handed her that crown dominated him, the feeling of her skin against his during the dance that she had granted him hours before made him lose the control he swore to maintain.
And without being able to contain himself, Aemond pulled her firmly towards him by the hips and kissed her on the mouth hungrily. He wanted her so much it hurt. Y/n sighed and took her hands to his hair, tangling them in the silky strands as she pulled him even closer into the kiss.
He squeezed her hips between his fingers as he had been dreaming of doing for some time, and lightly squeezed her ass, pulling her closer and closer amidst the voracious kisses. Aemond kissed Y/n's neck while they both tried to catch their breath, he gave light bites and sucked in some spots while she sighed for him.
— Aemond.
She moaned his name sweetly and Aemond barely had control over himself when he raised his hands that were on her hips to the top of her back and holding tight to the collar of the fragile nightdress he tore it, making Y/n moan and rub herself against him as the pieces of fabric fell to the floor.
The Vision in front of him could easily have killed him. The naked body he had only seen in his wildest dreams was even more beautiful than he could have dreamed, it was perfect. Her breasts were as beautiful as he had imagined, the delicate curves of her waist and hips seemed designed by the gods themselves and between her beautiful thighs that she pressed firmly in search of relief, her intimacy that he was sure was already wet for him.
Aemond wanted to control himself, he would control himself. But he wanted to at least prove it first. And then he swore to himself that he would just taste her and pleasure her, just as he had the day before, and then he would leave. He would ask the gods for forgiveness for his indolence, and everything would be fine.
And with that thought he approached her again with his hungry gaze pulling her for another kiss while he brought his hands to her ass cheeks, squeezing firmly. Aemond guided Y/n to the bed and sat her down on the mattress with a mischievous smile on her face. She then looked up at him, looking confused with her lips swollen from kissing and the skin on her neck slightly red.
— Open your legs for me jorrāelagon. — He asked softly as he knelt in front of her, Y/n felt her whole body burn with shame, but obeyed, languidly opening her legs before Aemond's hungry eyes. My love
He said a filthy curse in Valyrian that made her blush even more if possible as he brought both hands to her smooth thighs, caressing and squeezing them. Aemond began caressing his left hand slowly while listening to Y/n's sighs and when he got to where he wanted he gently separated his lips from Y/n's intimacy and took two fingers to her sensitive pearl, caressing it.
Y/n sighed with pleasure at the new sensation of Aemond's fingers caressing her, and when he brought his fingers to her entrance and slowly placed them inside, making soft back and forth movements, she threw her head back while biting her lips.
Aemond enjoyed watching her reactions and smiled when he saw a slight frown of disappointment form when he moved her hand away, moving it back to his thigh. But before she could say anything, he firmly grabbed both of her thighs to keep them open. and dipped his head between her legs, licking her firmly from the entrance to the pearl.
Y/n moaned loudly at the sensation and gripped the sheets tightly between her fingers, and Aemond groaned as he finally felt her sweet taste on the tip of his tongue. He penetrated her tongue with his tongue and Y/n squirmed, begging for more.
— Aemond. — She said his name like a song, and he responded by giving her more and more pleasure, going deeper between her thighs with even more desire as he felt her squirm under his care. His mouth took every little part of her pussy for himself, while his nose hit her clit in a way that made her want to scream.
Y/n felt her entire body out of control, the feeling a thousand times stronger than the day before in the library. Spasms wracked her body and without control she fell back onto the sheets as she arched her back and moaned desperately. She took her hands to Aemond's hair, tangling her fingers between the strands and practically rubbing herself against his face without any shame.
— Aemond. — She practically screamed when she reached her peak, writhing against Aemond's mouth as he sucked her as if his life depended on it.
He felt her spongy walls contract more and more against his tongue and the delicious spasms brought with them Y/n's orgasm. Her taste numbed him, he wanted to feel that taste on his lips forever. The sound of her voice screaming his name at her peak almost drove him crazy, he wanted more.
Aemond moved up his lips, leaving kisses on her sensitive intimacy while he felt her shudder, and he went up her belly, kissing and sucking slowly, drawing sighs of pleasure from Y/n.
—It tastes so good. — He said as he continued to kiss more amidst the gasps of pleasure that Y/n emitted. — Sweet and perfect, like everything about you.
The kisses reached her breasts, and Aemond knew he should stop, that this was going too far and her virtue was at stake. But he told himself that if he could just touch those perfect breasts he would be satisfied. And then he took her left breast into his mouth and sucked it hard, driving her crazy as she had barely recovered from her recent orgasm. He squeezed her other breast with his hand, and gently pinched her nipple, giving her even more pleasure. Breasts so good, made for him to love, made for him to suck, with every sound made by Y/n, Aemond thought he was going to die
—So sensitive. So good for me.
Aemond rubbed his clothed body against her naked body looking for pleasure, his hardness pressing against her intimacy. He could feel her fluids moistening his pants and he moaned in pleasure at the sensation.
— Just for you Aemond. — She moaned sweetly at him. — Only yours.
A feeling of possessiveness came over him when he heard her say those words. From him. He wanted so badly to feel her bare skin against his bare skin, he needs to have that feeling at least once in his life. And he assured himself that he would go no further than that, that he would keep her maidenhood intact.
Aemond felt Y/n's hands pulling him by his clothes as she tried to kiss his neck just like he had done to her. And he ripped off his doublet and threw it haphazardly on the floor, then removing the lighter shirt he was wearing underneath and throwing it too, leaving his chest bare under Y/n's watchful gaze.
She pulled him back to her and kissed him passionately on the lips, and Aemond felt his skin burn and tingle as it came into contact with hers. Her warm breasts rubbing against his chest, Aemond took his hands to her back and pulled her further up onto the bed, where the two became even more entangled in kisses as they rubbed against each other in search of pleasure.
Y/n put her hand on the drawstring that held Aemond's pants in place and he held her hands, stopping her from pulling.
— Aemond. — She sighed his name with her eyes closed.
— I can't do that. — He spoke against her neck. — It would ruin you.
— I just want to feel you... feel your body against mine. — She sighed and scratched his back. — It's not fair that I'm naked and you're not.
Aemond took a deep breath and then inhaled. He couldn't do that, it would be going too far. The prince then got up from the bed with difficulty as he tried to move away from her delicious body.
— Aemond. — She begged there sprawled on the bed, naked, with her hair messy, her lips red from kissing and her silky legs parted as moisture ran down her thighs. He couldn't deny her. Just that more and he would go away to his own room, he was a gentleman. He wouldn't take Y/n's virtue without being married to her.
He untied his pants under her watchful gaze and then ripped them off, throwing them in the pile of clothes, leaving him completely naked, with just his eye patch. Aemond walked to the bed again and lay down on her body, now being able to feel the moisture that dripped from her directly onto his dick. By the Gods, how he would like to bury himself in her.
The two kissed eagerly and Y/n intertwined her legs against Aemond's slim waist in search of friction, making him moan against her lips as he rubbed himself against that hot moisture.
— Take it off. — She begged breathlessly between kisses, putting her hand to her eye patch.
— No. — Aemond denied, gently taking her hand away from the eye patch and stopping kissing her neck.
— Please Aemond. — She begged, looking at him while caressing his face. — I want to see you in full, I don't care about scars.
And Aemond knew that there was nothing in this world that she begged him naked under his body that he wouldn't do. If she asked him right now to ride Vhagar and burn an entire city, he would burn it without a second thought. And taking his hand to his face, he removed the eye patch, looking at her slightly nervous, fearing to see rejection in the eyes he loved so much.
Y/n admired him enchantedly. It was different from the last time she saw him, there was a shiny sapphire stone where Aemond's eye had once been and the wound was well healed. Y/n gently brought her hand towards his eye, stroking it softly the region.
— It hurts? — She asked in a soft voice.Aemond shook his head slightly as he turned and placed a kiss on Y/n's palm.
— Almost no more.
— Gevie. — She said with a look of pure adoration as she pulled him into another passionate kiss that made Aemond sigh.
Y/n kissed his way up his face until she reached his left eye where the sapphire was and she left a long and affectionate kiss, as if Aemond was the most important thing in her world.
— Vok issa jorrāelagon. — She said with her eyes full of pure adoration, making some tears well up in Aemond's eye, who, with a genuine smile, kissed her even more passionately than before. You are perfect my love.
— Ao issi vok, se olvie gevie mirre vēttan ondoso se jaes. — He spoke with his face glued to hers while rubbing their noses and lips against each other in an extremely intimate way. You are perfection, the most beautiful creature ever made by the gods.
Aemond's throbbing member rubbed against Y/n's wetness, leaving them both panting with desire amidst the intimate caresses. And she wanted him so badly in that moment, more than anything she had ever wanted in her life.
— Aem. — She whimpered. — I want you. I want you so badly.
— We can not do that. — He panted, pulling away slightly from her.
Y/n tangled her fingers in his silver hair, pulling him back into a voracious and messy kiss.
— Y/n... — Aemond sighed between the kiss, trying to pull away, but not having the strength to do so, he wanted so much, but knew he shouldn't.
— I was made to be yours. — She grunted, holding him by the hair and looking at him in a way that bordered on despair. — Only yours. Not from him.
Him. Aemond knew who she was talking about, and for a moment in that haze of lust he had forgotten about that bastard who wanted to steal what was his.
— Aemond, I'd rather die, I'd rather be ruined, I'd rather anything than let him lay his hands on me. I feel sick at the thought of him putting his hands on my body. I don't want him. I want you. With everything in me, I want you. She looked directly into his eyes as she spoke, still holding him by his silky silver hair.
— I am begging you Aemond Targaryen. — She sighed beneath him, her eyes shining with desire. — Ruin me.
Aemond can't resist any longer, not with her begging like that. And with a groan he looked into her eyes and began to penetrate her soft, warm intimacy with his hard bulge. And at that moment he came to the conclusion that he had never felt anything as good as that in his entire life.
Y/n dug her nails into Aemond's back as she felt him slowly enter her insides.
— Aemond. — She sighed amidst the pleasure and slight pain and he immediately stood still, looking at her with slightly frightened eyes.
— Did I hurt you?
— No. — Y/n grabbed his shoulders pulling him closer to her. —Don't stop, I'm fine.
Aemond continued pushing inside her slowly, fearing to hurt her in any way, and little by little he sheathed himself completely inside Y/n, who was squeezing his shoulders and scratching him lightly. Aemond lay still inside her, panting as he felt her hot walls pressing and pulling him closer and closer, and trying to contain himself he buried his head in the curve between Y/n's neck and shoulder.
— You can move. — She sighed.
—Are you sure? — Aemond asked, looking into her eyes again while trying to contain himself.
Y/n confirmed with her head, putting her hands through Aemond's already messy hair and pulling him into a wet, slow kiss that got messier as he started to move inside her.
Aemond pushed himself lightly inside her and felt her gasp into the kiss and pull his hair. He then started to move harder and faster and the feeling of y/n's intimacy contracting against him was killing him.
— So good. — He moaned to her amidst the kisses and thrusts that became increasingly stronger as he lost himself in Y/n's moans.
— More. — She begged amidst moans. — Please Aemond, more.
Aemond bit her neck hard and sucked it uncontrollably when he heard her cry out for him like that. He then fucked her hard and loudly while they both panted amid the kisses and love bites, the prince seemed obsessed with her neck and was sucking it in an almost animalistic way at that point.
— Mine. — He panted.
He then took his right hand to her breast and desperately bit and kissed it down her lap until he reached the other breast, putting it in his mouth and sucking it as if he were going to devour it. Y/n threw her head back in pleasure at feeling so many sensations at the same time, and when he removed his hand from her breast and placed it between her legs, caressing her furiously, Y/n felt like she had lost all control over her own body.
— Yours, only yours Aemond. Always only yours.
The pleasure that hit her was even stronger than before, the feeling of Aemond inside her made her want to cry with joy. His naked body against hers, his mouth kissing her everywhere and she came against his cock pressing and milking it while she moaned Aemond's name wildly, crossed both legs against his naked ass and scratched his back pulling him closer and closer.
Aemond, feeling her coming and pressing against him, could no longer resist and without thinking about anything, without looking at tomorrow or the possible consequences, he spilled his seed deep inside Y/n while moaning breathlessly looking at her contorted face of pleasure.
— I love you. — He declared in the midst of pleasure and he could see her eyes, lost in pleasure, filling with tears as she brought her hand to his face and caressed it.
— I love you too.
And completely exhausted after the climax, they both fell into unconsciousness, still naked and hugging each other with satisfied smiles on their faces that lasted until the next morning, when Aemond did not appear to do his morning chores and they were both awakened by the horrified scream of the queen at the enter his niece’s room. Followed by Aegon who, upon seeing the scene, gave a malicious smile towards Aemond.
— Well it looks like we're not going to have a wedding anymore, at least not one with little Jace, isn't that brother?

brother's best friend.
PAIRING : stiles stilinski x mccall!reader.
CONTENT : fluff ๑ angst ๑ smut
Tumblr media
it started out as a childhood crush, as most longterm infatuations do. you couldn't have been older than four when you met stiles, your stiles. he was missing his front tooth and he spoke with a lisp.
he was wildly loud and animated and you know when you're a kid and you think a boy is so cute that you're sure there's hearts in your eyes. he spoke of playing dragons and knights with scott, “oh! and you can be the princess.”
it was a memory that you kept crawling back to, a time much simpler than now. you could have let out a cold laugh, now you were in constant fear of your life, scott’s life, stiles’ life. it wasn't anything you couldn't handle but you wished for the times when all you had to worry about was your silly schoolgirl crush on stiles.
today was surprisingly quiet, just defeating peter and dealing with the deadpool, you were tired. all of you were, but you kept an eye open just on the off chance that something would try to kill one of your friends.
you stared at your reflection in the mirror, and dotted some concealer under your eyes, anything to make it look like you got some sleep last night. you didn't have scott’s powers to fall back on, nor lydia’s intelligence and intuition. everyday you wondered if you'd be another human lost in the fight against the preternatural.
you tried to wipe the thoughts from your head before walking down the main hall of the high school, stiles stood leaning against his locker while your brother talked about god knows what.
you walked up to the two of them and tried to act normal. like stiles isn't a whole foot away from you, like his cologne isn't enough to make your knees quiver, like every little wink, smile and joke doesn't make you wanna beg him to love you.
you'd been dealing with this crush for as long as you have memories, it should be easier by now. it seemed like lately though, it was getting harder. almost like he was purposefully invading all your thoughts.
“helllloooo?” you came back to the present because of stiles’ voice and scott's hand waving in front of your face. your skin warmed from the embarrassment of getting caught zoning out.
“what? sorry, I'm just tired,” you sighed, seemingly having said that alot recently. but dealing with what you can only assume to be a unrequited crush is tiring. especially when that crush happens to be on your brother's best friend.
stiles eyes squinted with disbelief. if there was one thing you hated about the boy, it was his ability to tell when anyone was lying.
“right, anyways,” scott continued eyeing you from the corner of his eyes but you were already zoning out again.
your day continued on like that, just skating by with your mind constantly drifting back to stiles. it felt almost like you were cursed, your brain almost short circuiting whenever you tried to think of literally anything else.
before you knew it, as if on airplane mode you found yourself walking out the doors towards the jeep. since scott started working at the clinic, you'd just been riding home with stiles. and due to the supernatural nature of your life, it's easier this way.
you climbed into the jeep and tried to keep a semblance of calm. stiles scent was invading your nostrils, with his lacrosse gear in the back seat and him sitting directly next to you. a soft song played on the radio, and if your emotions weren't getting the best of you ; you'd romanticize the man before you.
you were almost never quiet when left alone with stiles, it almost like you don't know how to shut up when around him. so the silence filling the jeep was becoming a bit much even for the hyperactive mind of stiles stilinski.
“you sure you're okay, sunshine?” his hand awkwardly patted your leg. stiles has been calling you sunshine forever, it's yours-and-his special little thing and even when you feel like the world is crushing you, it still gives you butterflies.
you had be around ten, you sat on the bus one seat in front of stiles and scott. stiles was talking mindlessly about lydia ( 12 year olds and their crushes ). and some kid was in the seat in front of you talking about how weird you were. being just a kid, you were almost to tears until stiles heard what the unkind words sprouted from the kid’s mouth.
“you don't even know what you're talking about! she's like sunshine.”
you found yourself blushing and feeling embarrassed, just for the kid to start making fun of you and stiles.
you let the silence hang a bit longer, trying to buy some time to tell a somewhat believable lie. the jeep came to a stop in front of stiles’ house. your eyebrows knit together trying to remember if there was some prior agreement that you forgot about.
“i think i know exactly what you need!” stiles spoke excitedly, and your heart felt like it was gonna fall out of your chest.
“a-and what's that?” you tried to convey a sarcastic tone but your voice shook as spoke. you prayed to whoever was listening that he didn't notice.
his eyes scanned your face as if trying to pry into your mind and it would give him all the answers. “movie night! i know we haven't done one in forever, but i think it'll help get your mind off whatever is bothering you. I know scott is usually here for this,” he sighed a little and rubbed the back of his neck.
your heart warmed, you couldn't believe the absolute kindness this boy had to offer. though every moment around him, was a kick to ego and a kiss for your heart.
“thank you, stiles,” his hand still awkwardly sat on your thigh, burning a metaphorical hole through your jeans.
he grinned that big smile, the one where his whole face turns into pure joy. it took everything in you not to just kiss him right there. and right as you began to get the courage he pops open his door and falls out the jeep. you chuckled to yourself bitterly.
you followed him into his room where you plopped yourself down on the bed. “so what's on tonight, star wars again?” you giggled as you watched him fumble through his dvds.
“actually, i rented heathers last night just for you, i know it's your favorite!” this boy was going to kill you.
and just like old times, he made popcorn and let you lay on his chest. you thought you might throw up. watching your favorite film, with the biggest crush of your life and it started to feel like you were suffocating.
you sat up anxiously, leaning against the wall, stiles’ head lazily rolled to the side, watching your every move.
“stiles,” your voice shook, your lips quivered and you were rubbing your hands intensely.
“hey! woah, hey, it's okay, whatever it is, it's okay, what's got you so upset? did you kill someone or something?” he tried to joke and relieve the tension and at this moment you think that might be an easier conversation.
“no, no, nothing like that,” the Perception of rejection was getting to you, an anvil falling on your heart. you laughed bitterly, “actually, now it feels so dumb. i just, stiles, i-i love you. i love you so much and i cant, i tried to swallow it and for a while that worked,” you were basically sobbing now eyes closed and lip shaking and you were about to lose your breath.
“but i can't, and I can't keep pretending i dont, but it's killing me and that feels dramatic but please, please don't hate me.” he knew this was very serious for you, a girl that almost never let anyone see her cry. amd he didn't mean to, and he feels so bad for it but he laughs, it just thr awkwardness that's in his bones.
“i’m sorry, i’m sorry, please I didn't mean to laugh, but i guess it just seems so silly to me that you wouldn't just tell me or someone and let it get so bad.” he pauses almost like he's trying to find his words. and all you can think about is running, running as fast as you can but his hand is on your leg and you'd feel so bad for it.
“i can't believe you could be so oblivious, I've been trying to hint to you for years now that i felt the same,” you didn't let him finish his sentence instead, doing what you've always wanted to do : kiss him. your lips mold together perfectly, you felt so far away, like you were in a dream.
the dream felt more hazy, when his hands find your hips and pull you into his lap. you can feel his cock hardened underth you, restrained by his jeans. you grind against and whimper into his mouth.
“stiles, stiles if you don't do something right now,” your words were breathless, somewhere between a whimper and a whine. his fingers move quickly to undo his jeans, while you shed yourself of everything but your bra and panties. you always wore cute panties in a secret way to manifest this happening.
as soon as he has you below, his hands are moving to grope your tits, he groans, eyes scanning every inch of your body, trying to commit every part of you to memory.
“fuck, you're so pretty, baby.” his words go straight to your core, warm, wet and clenching around nothing. you're thoughtless, the only thing left in your mind is him, so you just whine.
his fingers trace around your hips and slide your thong to the side to get a view of your beautiful cunt.
“you ready?” you nod, and he shakes his head, as if a new man. “say it,” as his hands slide over every part of your body except where you need him most.
“m ready, please stiles need you, need your cock. please, please” you were practically begging so pumped himself a few times before sheathing his full length into your cunt. it's so deliciously painful.
“mm such a good girl, taking me so well,” he pressed his lips against your forehead in a long kiss. before giving you long thick strokes, ans his hand reaching between you to rub little circles onto your clit. you were seeing white as continued to fuck you, your fingernails scraping against his pale skin.
his teeth gritted as he moaned, trying so hard to hold back. “m close, please please.” you whined and he fucked you faster, and harder. rough groans falling out of his lips.
your climax was closing in on your, your nails skating harder against him, your legs closing in around his hips. you basically screamed your orgasm out against stiles neck. he chuckled to himself, proud he could do all this. he funally let go, fucking you both through your climaxes. and keeping his now soft cock in your cunt, to keep his cum in you. thank god for birth control.

DnD: dungeons and draco
for @quail-in-red. this is just further proof that if anybody shows even the slightest interest in one of my dumb jokes, i crumble and perform like a silly jester at once. based on this post i made last year and rediscovered today about hp wizards playing DnD.
Dean didn’t give a lot of details when he invited Harry to his weekly dungeons and dragons game, but the last person Harry expected to see at the table was Draco Malfoy.
“We started a game together when we were, er,” Dean trailed off.
“When we were prisoners in Draco's house!” Luna finished for him brightly.
Malfoy didn’t say anything, just met Harry’s eyes stolidly and then went to fuss with the small pile of papers and cards in front of him.
Harry shared a look with Ron, who was already sitting between Dean and Hermione, and then sighed inwardly and took the last remaining seat between Seamus and Luna. He pulled out the premade character sheet Dean had owled him last week. It was wrinkled from having nearly been lost in a pile of post and then hastily shoved in Harry’s pocket before flooing to Dean’s flat.
Harry looked around the table. Malfoy’s stack of papers was bigger than anyone else’s, even Hermione’s. And why did he have so many cards? There was a little wooden tray in front of him too. The dice in the tray looked iridescent, catching and reflecting the light. Trust Malfoy to have expensive poncy accessories. Why was he even here? Did he even like DnD? He’d grown up around magic his whole life; what did he need to pretend for?
“And so let’s go around and introduce our characters,” Dean finished. Harry had missed his whole introduction. “Since Draco and Luna have played before, we’ll start with them.”
Malfoy straightened up a little, carefully picking up his character sheet even though it seemed like he was so familiar with it, he didn’t need to reference it. “I’m Mike, a level three call center operator. I’m twenty-three years old, originally from Essex and just moved to London. I played football in uni, but am feeling less fit now that I have a job where I sit all day.”
Luna went next and spoke in a surprisingly deep voice. “My name is Archie, and I’m a level six IT consultant. I’m forty-six years old, originally from Norwich, but I moved to London for uni and never left. I’ve been married to my wife, Evelyn, for twenty years and we have two children and a cocker spaniel named Rosa.”
Harry stared down at the character sheet in front of him. He hadn’t looked at it before grabbing it in his rush to get here on time. It told him he was meant to be playing Grace, a 29 year old paramedic who’d grown up in London and recently broken up with her fiance after finding out he had cheated on her. She had a cat named Pomegranate. Harry didn’t know much about tabletop games, but there had been a group of kids that Dudley’s gang would sometimes target instead of Harry who had played. And what he’d overhead from their games didn’t sound anything like this.
“Hang on, these are just normal people; we’re all humans with muggle jobs. I thought we were playing dungeons and dragons, you know, with magic involved.”
Malfoy glared at him. “Weren’t you paying attention, Potter? Dean just explained the premise of our campaign.”
Harry didn’t want to admit to Malfoy he’d been too busy wondering what his dice were made of. He looked away from Malfoy to Dean. “Er, sorry. I was… distracted.”
Dean sighed but looked more resigned than irritated at having to explain again. “When I started the game with Draco and Luna, they got confused by the magic system because actual magic doesn’t work the way it does in DnD, so I made up a slightly different game we could play. We’re a group of Londoners in a recreational dodgeball league.”
“And honestly, Harry, it doesn’t feel right pretending to be of magical creature heritage for a game,” Hermione added. “Think of what kind of hurtful stereotypes we could fall into.”
“Okay…” Harry said slowly. It still felt strange, but now that he thought about it, he supposed he didn’t need to spend his Thursday evenings pretending to be part of a group camping out and hunting evil. Once per lifetime was enough without having to do it recreationally in the realm of imagination.
Harry smoothed out his character sheet again and introduced the group to Grace.
not sure if there will be more, but we're all shipping mike/grace right?

Queen Of My Life (Aegon x Reader)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“I will be queen and write history like my ancestor (y/n) Targaryen”
“The story of (y/n) was your brother Rhaegars Favourite, she was known as “the miracle queen”
“The miracle? Why?I’ve only known a few scattered parts of her”
“She is known as the last good leader along with her husband king Aegon, they were the first and only couple that ruled United and seemed to listen to the worries of their subjects”
“She cared for the small folk?”
“The didn’t call her “our sun” for nothing”
-
(Y/n) was not supposed to be born, a child created after the night Rhaenyra laid with Ser Criston Cole, it might sound evil but as her belly grew Rhaenyra wished for the babe to die, to get rid of it.
The babe came out quickly and earlier than expected, a healthy girl that wailed loudly as she fussed and screamed to get away from her mothers grasp, it was almost like the babe had heard every thought her mother had, the hostility that was created as she was growing inside a womb that it’s owner wished she was dead.
The only person that (y/n) truly loved was Laenor, he adored his daughter and spoiled her to no ends, she had everything laid beneath her feet with one click of her fathers fingers, before her dragon hatched Laenor would take her up in the sky just to hear the little girls sequels of bliss.
“You did it!”
(Y/n) bursted in the room with a dagger in her hand, her fathers dagger that she had just lost. Rhaenyra was quick to restrain her daughter from cutting through her chest, the whole room erupted with chaos as the boiling pot that was her daughter temper seemed to have blown up and was ready to burn everyone.
“How dare you blame me?”
“How dare I? You killed my father just to marry your fucking knight in shinning armour”
The scariest part was not (y/n)s tone nor the raised tone that pierced through eardrums, it was that there was no emotion in her eyes, just plain darkness, Rhaenyra was truly backed against the wall to fight for her life.
Criston Cole was the one to thankfully be brave enough to pull (y/n) away, unfortunately due to her erratic movements the princess had managed to cut herself, earning a deep clean cut from bicep to wrist, her cry of pain was deafening as her blood spilled down to the floor, Criston wanted to throw up at the sight of his daughters blood intertwining with mourning for another man she called “father”.
“Take the princess back to her chamber Ser Criston”
The queen commanded him to which he heartedly agreed. Swiftly he lifted her up to hold her in her arms, she was just a kid, a kid that attempted to not only kill her mother, to also strike down the future heir and accuse her of murder, the queen had followed the two with her eyes as the knight exited the room, leaving all of them in despair over the event.
“We should call a maester for the princess”
Alicent suggested mostly to herself as she spoke to a hushed tone, the queen sped to the princesses room to find her laying in her bed while Ser Criston had torn off his cape to stop the bleeding, Criston was a tormented father that had his hands tied when it came to the matter of his daughter, when she was born he knew it in his heart that the babe was his kin, how could a father stand watching his only daughter lay wounded?
On the morrow Rhaenyras family departed for dragon stone, except (y/n) who had requested to stay behind and become the queens lady in waiting, queen Alicent always felt for the young girl who had inherited Cristons eyes, she could somewhat understand why Rhaenyra had a certain grudge against (y/n), to gaze upon your own daughter and see a man you hate.
One of the few times (y/n) was seen smiling was at her wedding with Aegon, Aegon fell for the princess ever since they were young, he had a very special gift from her that started from his thigh down to his knee, (y/n) and Aegon were extremely competitive so one time during training (y/n) requested real swords, Aegon being the arrogant prick he could be lazily swung his swords while (y/n) bend down and landed a nasty cut.
“How does it feel to be my lady wife?”
“Nothing has really changed, except the fact that tonight we have to land a small little cut on you”
(Y/n) and Aegon were drawn to one another long before their wedding, Alicent had betrothed them to shut the rumours of the princesses moans coming from Aegons room, while partially to quickly hide the fact that (y/n) had not bled for two moons.
Aegon giggled at the comment as he took her hand to place a kiss on her knuckles, after that his other hand caressed her still flat belly lovingly, his babe was safely growing inside the woman he loved.
“It’s a boy”
“I did not know I was marrying a witch”
“Heleana saw it, we will name him Saeror”
“Saeror?! What type of name is that?”
“Saeror the future king… has a nice ring to it”
Aegon surprised them all, he became a wonderful lord husband and stood honourably by his wives side through good times and bad times.
Aegon was present when Saeror was born, he had pushed the maester away to hold his babe, he would have never thought that he would take one look at a bloody little thing that resembled a small kitten would make him so happy, Aegon laughed loudly as Saeror wailed his way into the world.
“Saeror, You will be our legacy little one”
Reluctantly he passed the babe to the wet nurses so they can take care of the newborn, carelessly he wiped his hands to his clothes before kneeling in front of his glowing wife who sheepishly smiled at him, content with bringing the future heir to the world without any complications.
Aegon caressed her hair while his other hand held hers tightly, she had blessed him with a new family, (y/n) shed light in his life like the beacon of old town, how wife was the fire that burned him so sweetly.
“A lot of women say they do not wish for their husbands to be in the room while giving birth, it is said men do not look at their wives as women any more”
“I do not view you as a woman, I worship you as a goddess”
“I did good”
“You did wonderful, queen of my life”
-
Rhaenyra had been absent to every important event, the wedding, the birth of (y/n)s first born, any feast that was held for (y/n)s honour Rhaenyra had an excuse to not make an appearance, sending only a letter as a “congratulations”, the bitterness within (y/n) took over her brain towards her mother in a quick pace.
Quite the contrary with her good mother queen Alicent, she had stepped up to take great care of (y/n) and showed her the way to be a queen, Alicent was determined to be the mother she did not have, she was aware of what life was like without that maternal figure and would hate herself if she allowed that curse to be casted upon another woman.
(Y/n) had proven to be restless, giving birth to three sons one after the other. Saeror, Zenea and little Aemond in honour of her good brother who hugged (y/n) tightly and whispered a subtle “thank you” in her ear when they announced the babes name to the court.
“(y/n) and Aegon the generous” where known within kings landing due to visiting orphanages often to take care of the children as well as funding maesters to visit anyone in need of medical care from the small folk, adored by the public was an extremely brilliant move against the heir Rhaenyra who had fled the capital and lived her life hiding away instead of building her claim.
(Y/n) and Aegon were seen with their children and Ser Criston Cole along with Ser Erryk to kings landing, listening to the small folks worries and strolling through paths like common folk, another clever move was throwing feasts for the children’s namedays were everyone was welcomed, the masses were fed and give their blessing to the princes, Lords from all of Westeros would travel to make alliances with the Targaryens, to offer their daughters for the princes.
“Push my love”
“I cannot, I am tired”
“Come on sweetling this is your fourth time in this bed, you are strong”
(Y/n) pushed with all her might while Alicent and Aegon held her hands to support her and pass their strength to her, (y/n) grunted and breathed heavily to push a new life out of her. She fell in her husbands arms once she felt the relief of the babe releasing from her womb, the sound of a newborn weeping would never get old to the couple, Aegon engulfed her with his arms to bring his sweaty mess of a wife in his arms to kiss her temple.
“Praise the mother, my queen you did well”
“Is our boy healthy?”
“A strong boy sweet one”
Alicent reassured the princess as she followed the wet nurses who did the usual routine for the babe before bringing it to the mother. (Y/n) held her new babe in her arms while she was still being held by her husband, tears that were shed from his eyes hit her shoulder.
“What will we name him?”
“I was thinking Naemor”
“Welcome to the family Naemor”
Aegon cooed at the babe who had started to calm down in his mothers arms. Aegon gave another kiss to his wives head, she deserved all the gold in the world for the sacrifices she had made, to create a home for him in her arms and create a human from his seed, she was his miracle.
“Your grace, your presence is requested to the throne room”
“Oh seven hells I completely forgot of the hearing”
“Is that today? We must get ready”
“My love, you are to remain abed”
“No, I will not give her that satisfaction of missing this, help me please or I’ll do this without you”
Aegon had no choice but to comply to his wives wishes and offer his hands for support to get her up on her feet. Ser Criston watched silently for a moment until he mastered the courage to take a few steps to stand next to the princess.
“A boy?”
“Indeed, here”
Carefully (y/n) laid her newborn babe in the knights arms, Criston could not believe his eyes, a fourth grandchild was presented to him, he was as perfect as the rest of them, they were times that he had cursed himself for what he had done, to fall for Rhaenyras act and entertain it to the point that he risked the highest honour and toyed with his life, this is the moment that gave his life meaning, to see your daughter prevail and become the strongest Targaryen of the entire kingdom.
Once the wet nurses were excused and (y/n) dressed in her gown with the assistance of her husband Criston stayed in the room to rock the babe for as long as he could, away from the prude eyes of the servants.
“You have a beautiful family… princess”
“Aegon could you please take the babe?”
Aegon gladly reached for the babe to cradle him in his arms, the newborn had drifted off to slumber as he was safely rocked by his grandfather.
(Y/n) froze in her spot for a moment as she eyeballed the knight who also did not move a muscle, it was her that fell in his arms for a tight hug. She was not dim witted, the stories had reached her ears ever since she was a toddler, Criston was there for every step of her life, protecting his kin from the shadows.
“I will take revenge for you, do not worry… father”
Criston only caressed her long dirty blonde hair, it was very few times that (y/n) could truly show affection to her biological father, after such an emotional event of giving birth Criston was one of the closest people she had, her true father that was there for her more than her mother had ever been.
“You mustn’t walk in your condition, I’ll carry you there”
“No I-“
“Hush now princess I’ll let you down before the doors agape”
It was pointless to put on a fuss, her father had her off her feet in a blink of an eye while her husband Aegon was on their side with the newborn babe. Soon enough they reached the throne room doors and Criston Cole kept his promising by allowing the princess to stand by herself.
“Princess (y/n) and prince Aegon of house Targaryen”
As the doors unlatched to reveal the couple (y/n) felt like her “family” threw daggers from their eyes to the princess, a part of her wanted to know what was it that she had done that cause such hatred, the other part was quite content with her own family.
“I apologise for the interruption your grace, we happily announce the birth of our newborn son Naemor”
“A fourth son… let me see”
“Allow me my moon”
(Y/n) mumbled to Aegon as asked for their son to take him up to the stairs to the frail grandsire. (Y/n) was in agony the minute she took a step in the room, labour was one of the most excruciating pains she had experienced, however no one could see her pain, the prideful princess smiled as she bend the knee to let the king gaze upon the child.
“A strong son from the most beloved couple of the realm”
“You honour me your grace”
“I believe we need to circle back to the reason we are all gathered here”
“I can understand it might bring a certain uneasiness to you that you are not the centre of attention, still do allow your own daughter to present her son-your fourth grandson- to the king -our father-“
Aegon snapped at his half sister, (y/n) smirked at the sharp jab her husband had landed. Aegon would go to war for his family, he had grown to be a man because of the influence (y/n) had on him, she made him stronger, sharper, a proper king and a protector of the realm.
(Y/n) was proud of the man she had married, she had to admit that when she was to be wed to him she feared for her future, what if Aegons passion for her burned out? What if his taste for wine got the best of him?
Questions that clouded her judgement had kept her up until the dawn of her wedding day, now there he was, not an ounce of quiver as he went toe to toe with Rhaenyra to defend his queen.
“We have decided as a union that our presence is important since we would officially want to announce that we side with prince Jacaerys when it comes to the claim of driftmark”
“What?”
“My brother is the second born of our family, our… late father Laenor had wished for him to inherit it, the power of the ocean runs through our veins”
“What do you know of Velaryon blood princess? I could cut my wrists and you would still not recognise it”
“ I only recognise the blood of a man like Laenor, a knight that fought to defend the realm against the common foe, I do not wish to witness the blood of a villainous brother that stops at nothing to gain power”
(Y/n) had stepped down from the throne that her grandsire was occupying, Aegon paced quickly to her to take their son from her with one hand while the other snaked it’s way around her waist for support, he was observant enough to pick up on the slight trembling of her hands, she was growing tired and the argument of Ser Vaemond was not helping.
“Enough!”
The king declared as loud as he could with the combination of stomping his cane to the ground for a louder pause to the heated conversation. (Y/n) and Aegon turned their backs on Ser Vaemond in order to face the king out of respect, (y/n) even leaned her head to Aegons shoulder to get closer to him, his musk scent was a familiar thing she could focus as she was feeling her knees fighting to keep her up.
“I have heard enough, it is a day to celebrate not to kill each other. I hereby reaffirm Prince Jacaerys of house Velaryon as the future heir of lord of the tides, I should also announce that prince Aegon with his lady wife princess (y/n) of house Targaryen will be declared as my… heirs to the throne… after me”
“It cannot be”
“Aegon and (y/n) have proved themselves worthy of the throne… Rhaenyra, my sweet daughter… you will inherit the… Step-ahhh”
“Call the maesters!”
Aegon felt his wife tense at the scene that was playing in front of them, the time she had always been waiting for was happening, her grandsire was announcing her as his heir instead of Rhaenyra.
The grunts of agony that shook the room from her grandsire caused the small babe to start fussing, wails erupting from her new born son while Aegon started to lightly bounce the babe in his arms.
“Hush little one, you father is here”
“We must go, come my moon”
(Y/n) took Aegons hand to lead him out of the throne room while everyone was preoccupied with tending to her grandsire the king, her pain however caused a flinch while a hiss was uttered from her causing her to come to a halt.
“You need to rest”
“We do not have time for that”
“I do not care what you say, the throne will be there after you take a bath and sleep for a few hours, Ser Criston take my wife in our chambers, I will handle the rest”
-
“So the king died right after he declared a new heir?”
“Correct”
“If he had announced it to the court as you say, why did war ensue?”
“Princess Rhaenyra fled to dragon stone with her family to call banners for support to her claim, the king had passed before the official ceremony could take place”
“And what of queen (y/n)?”
“Her and king Aegon were crowned before the masses at dawn, the small folk cheered at the announcement of that the couple were crowned as king and queen of the realm, men offered to be trained as knights to protect the new queen against princess Rhaenyra”
“So a mother and a daughter went to war”
“Queen (y/n) was known for one phrase”
“The blood in the veins is thicker than the water in the womb”
“The Beloved queen was an intriguing character, a powerful woman with endless potential, her story is the second most astonishing one after Aegon the conqueror”

Even If The World Itself Should Fall Down - Malleus (Glorious Masquerade)
Author Notes: So, I've been having a lot of fun reading Glorious Masquerade and I saw an opening and received encouragement from friends to just go ahead and write some fics for this event. So this one is Malleus's and it was written to the “As the World Falls Down” cover by Grace Potter. The dance in this fic was inspired by Andrei and Natasha’s waltz scene from Episode 3 of BBC’s “War and Peace” (2016). As per usual, reader is gender-neutral. I hope you enjoy!
Type: Gender-neutral reader/ sfw/ Glorious Masquerade/ romance/ some pining/ fluff/ dancing
Word Count: 1338

It was the part of the trip everyone had been waiting for, but I found myself still lost in my own thoughts about everything that had occurred since coming to Fleur City.
A plot regarding the supposed evils of magic, the flames, the flowers, the ringing of the bell, and everything else.
It was almost too much to process, even considering the fact I’d seen overblots. Perhaps the most distracting thing was the fact that I was so relieved. No one had died, lost their magic, or ended up horribly injured, and the matter had been resolved.
I leaned against the wall, sighing slightly as people swirled past me in the midst of the masquerade. Either classmates and friends or the people who attended this school or one of the other magic academies themselves.
It was a swirling eddy of rich fabrics and masked faces.
I had never truly pictured myself in such an opulent scene, and it felt only right, in a great many respects, that I remained on the sidelines. Grim had long since slunk off in search of food and left me alone to watch everyone else.
But I didn’t remain alone for long, as a tall figure soon came cutting their way through the crowd.
Malleus approached with unhesitating steps, my view of him occasionally blocked by a couple twirling by even as he walked towards me. A slight smile was on his face as he drew closer until he emerged from the dancers to stand in front of me.
His hand that had been holding his mask this whole time lowered so that I could clearly see his face as he bent slightly at the waist and held out his other gloved hand with a smile that curved easily across his face, “May I?”
I blinked at him, half-surprised, before a smile slid onto my face. Because, of course, he wouldn’t leave me stranded all on my own. He knew loneliness well and had no doubt felt sympathy for me the very moment he’d seen me standing on my own.
“I don’t really know the steps,” I warned teasingly, even as I slipped my hand into his. His gloved fingers curled carefully over my hand as he pulled me away from the wall and towards him.
“Then I shall guide you; you need only trust me, Child of Man,” And as he spoke there was a certain villainy to his smile. Almost like he was proud that I’d accepted his offer, as if I’d rejected others.
It was amusingly similar to a dragon that had found itself a new treasure to hoard all to itself, and I shook my head amusedly but let him lead me out onto the floor. Carefully guiding me around and between other dancing duos who slowly began to look our way with either surprised or intrigued expressions.
Despite the way I glanced around, Malleus’s eyes stayed on me until we reached the center of the floor, directly under the chandler.
I turned to face him, my hand still in his as I looked at his face. And he had, at long last, looked away from me to carefully enter our dancer’s hold.
One of his hands on my waist as the other arm was bent around so that it was pressed firmly against his own back, while I had one hand resting lightly on his shoulder and the other held out to hold my clothes out of the way of our footsteps.
Bright green eyes slowly shifted to look at me, and I was close enough to even see his eyelashes fluttering slightly as he met my gaze. The slightest of smiles on his face before he stepped forward, and I stepped back to the very first strings of this new song.
It was an older style of dance; I could tell that much from the fact he had one arm pressed to his back, which wasn’t part of any modern style, and a part of me wondered if it was a form from the Valley of Thorns.
From what Sebek had told me, the people there were partial to what many might refer to as more vintage aspects of life.
But I wasn’t complaining; there was something especially lovely about this type of waltz. And I found myself smiling as Malleus pivoted us around the room.
We spiraled around, remaining in the center of the room as the other dancers moved back and away from us. Eyeing us and no doubt questioning why exactly I, of all people, was dancing with the famed and typically feared Malleus Draconia.
After all, I was no one special, and he was the heir to the throne of the Valley of Thorns. An odd couple, to say the least.
As we entered a particularly long set of rotations, Malleus extended the arm he’d had behind his back. Humming slightly as I almost instinctively shifted my hand from his shoulder to his now-free hand.
His fingers curled over and enveloped my hand, as he also shifted to the side so that we were joined only by our arms, which crossed over each other’s chests, as we faced each other and we continued to spin. Almost parallel to one another.
I exhaled softly, relaxing the longer the two of us danced, and I realized that I really could trust him to lead me through this entire dance even though I didn’t know the steps.
As the music slowed and quieted, he drew me closer so that he was once more directly in front of me, though his hand still gripped mine with a quiet gentleness.
I swallowed slightly, briefly glancing away from him and the soft smile on his face, before I managed to speak.
“I never have really thanked you for diving after me when the floor collapsed,” My voice was soft, and his lips twitched slightly. Almost like he was amused by my words.
“But of course,” He spoke softly as well. Matching my tone in a way that made our words feel like a secret between only the two of us.
Our motions continued to slow until we were simply turning a slow circle and looking at each other even as everyone else kept spiraling, and I shook my head slightly, “No, thank you… Really.”
Something in his gaze softened slightly as he continued to stare at me, and I tilted my head, smiling, “It’s nice that this masquerade could still take place with everything that happened…. The firelotuses and our trip almost getting ruined, I mean.”
I felt his grip on my hand tighten slightly as he inclined his head slightly, almost like he wanted to well and truly keep his next words so that they were just between the two of us. A tender secret not to be shared with anyone else. Be they a close friend or a bodyguard.
“It matters not what collapses. Be it the floor beneath us or even if the world itself should fall down, I will be there for you, Child of man.” I blinked up at him, feeling my eyes widen at his soft words.
At odds with my speechlessness, he smiled. Looking perfectly delighted as he slowly began to speed our motions back up, until we were whirling around the room once more. Center stage as his smile stayed ever-present. It wasn’t long until, even with his words still floating around in my mind, we both started to laugh.
At first, just a chuckle and then soft laughter as we waltzed around, drawing everyone’s gazes as they questioned what sort of secret we shared that so amused us. But it wasn’t truly laughter at something amusing. Rather, it was relieved laughter at the realization that even if everything else in the world fell away, we had one another.
Falling together just as we’d fallen together through the burning flowers, and falling towards each other as each step of our dance pulled us closer towards that beautiful dream known as love.

The Boy Next Door Baki Hanma X Motherly! Older Female Reader
Your morning routine has been modified and changed, it was hard but it was worth it. Waking up from your usual time to 5:00 a.m. Getting out of bed, and drinking coffee to give you a pep in your step. You took your usual wash-up routine, then you got dressed and did your makeup. You cooked an extra breakfast before eating your own, done any chores you could think of that needed to be done, and then you waited... And waited... And waited... Your alarm went off and you sprung into action. Jumping up you grabbed your bag, put your shoes on, and dashed outside, slamming the door behind you as you ran towards the sidewalk.
You stopped short, catching your breath quickly, fixing your skirt, checking to make sure you looked decent and then you walked a few steps, stepping on the sidewalk you looked towards the left, and you smiled. There he was, the reason why you changed your morning routine, the reason why you tried to look as nice as you could, the reason why you ran towards the sidewalk, the boy next door, Baki Hanma walked down the street. His little home was back behind him as he walked, one hand in his pocket while the other held his bag, looking lost in thought.
'Silly boy... He's always deep in thought at this time of morning.' You thought as you stared at him, your eyes looking over his built form hidden under his school uniform. 'He's grown so much over the years. It makes me oddly proud to see him like this.' You thought as you shifted your weight in your heels. He seemed to have noticed you, his face brightening up in a happy smile. 'He so cute, he's like a little dog.' You thought as you smiled back, waving at him. He started to a light jog as he sprinted towards you, slowing once he got close enough.
"Hey, (y/n). How have you been... I haven't seen you in a few days." He said a nervous gleam in his eyes as he stared down at you. You smiled up at him, placing a hand on your hip as you did. "Yeah, I was busy with work, my boss is a real ass, he gave me extra work last week making me do some major overtime." You explained, a relaxed smile on your face. "Oh... Damn, that really sucks actually." He said. Your smile widened as you gave him a hard pat on his chest. "Don't worry about it, I'm a tough lady ya know." You said as you playfully flexed your arm.
He chuckled at you, his eyes gleaming happily. "Yeah, I guess you are." He said. Your smile faded as a look of shock crossed your face as you snapped your fingers. "Oh yeah!! I almost forgot!!" You said as you opened your bag. He stared down at you in question. "Here you go, your lunch." You said as you held out the bento box towards him. He stared down at it, marveling at how you had the chopsticks in a case the box was a pretty blue with a golden dragon going across it, written in Kanji was his name.
He smiled as he saw it, happily grabbing it. "Thanks (Y/n), man I really missed your cooking." He said as he placed it carefully into his bag. You smiled. "Why thank you Baki, I'm glad you love it so much." You said, your chest swelling in pride. He chuckled. "It's hard not to, you make the best food." He said softly.

The Boy Next Door
You both walked down the street together, waking through the crowds as you both spoke to one another, Baki wasn't much of a talker, he enjoyed hearing your voice, but it's been almost a week since you last spoke to one another, so Baki had a lot to tell you. He told you about all his fights and his newest friend who was a primitive man named Pickle. You shook your head as you heard about what happened to his friends. "My god, that's awful... To lose a limb..." You said, you couldn't imagine the gruesome pictures that Baki explained to you... "Don't see it as something terrible... See it as a badge of honor." Baki said. You looked up at him a look of confusion on your face.
"How is that a badge of honor, Baki? You lost a piece of yourself forever." You said in a scolding voice, he never looked down at you as you both walked together, a knowing smile on his face. "I'm not expecting you to understand, I don't expect anyone to even begin to grasp the understanding of it... It's such a deep meaning to a warrior when they lose a limb to a worthy opponent... It's a symbol of strength... A trophy to wear... It's a beautiful way of saying 'I survived from fighting my strongest opponent.' ... It's a beautiful thing really." He said. You stared up at him, a puzzling look on your face, it melted into a relaxed stare before you looked away from him, staring at the scenery before you a small smile gracing your face.
"You're right... I don't think I'll ever understand Baki, but I can accept it... Because it's something you love." You said. His eyes widened and he looked down at you. You never looked over at him, but the sweet, genuine look on your face and the tender gleam in your eyes remained. He smiled slowly as his eyes relaxed. The happy gleam in his eyes shone harder than before as he looked ahead of himself as well. 'Damn... She's one hell of a woman.' He thought.

You sat in your cubical, sighing tiredly as you hung up the phone, you leaned back in your chair, making it incline back, you raised your arms, stretching them high above your head as your back arches, you squealed in pleasure as you sighed, you relaxed against the chair, resting your elbow on the armrest as you held your head up. Your eyes closed as you listened to the phones ringing, hanging up, and people answering calls. The sound of rushed steps sounded out, the rustling of paper, stapling, printing, and shredding.
It was an atmosphere you've grown accustomed to but never really loved, but it brought you comfort from how familiar it was. 'I wonder how Baki's doing... I hope he's doing good in school, talking to friends having fun, learning... I wonder if he's still talking to that girl, I forget her name... Kozue??? That sounds about right, but I could be wrong, he doesn't speak about her often, but when he does he always looks so happy... Yet so troubled... I hope he didn't get into any more fights, but if he did I'll just have to bandage him up and give him a good lecture.' You thought, your eyes mindlessly roaming around your cubical.
Pictures of family and friends hung up on the walls of your cubical, your desk organized yet messy, your laptop open to a document page, sticky notes stuck to the frame of your laptop marking important dates and time frames from customers and employees. You sighed as you looked down at the bottom of your laptop screen checking the time. '11:40 am... It should be lunchtime for Baki, I wonder if he's enjoying his bento.' You thought as your chest filled with warmth at the thought of the young man.
'We go way back, he and I... He always loved those bento boxes I made him... He was always so grateful... He'd hold onto them for years, even after they were old and broken, and he'd place them on his shelf as souvenirs... He's always been such a sweet boy.' You thought fondly, reminiscing his younger years. 'And now. He's a young man now, about to graduate high school and be out there in the world... And I'm pretty sure that I'm still gonna be making him bento boxes.' You thought as you chuckled to yourself.

Baki sat on the roof of the school, the bento you gave him this morning was opened and was nearly empty, he was slowly eating the food you cooked for him, 10 sausages sliced to look like little squids, 10 rolled omelets, and 4 large rice balls. It was never enough to get him stuffed, but it was enough to get him satisfied. He smiled as he swallowed the last of his rice ball, reaching down for the last rolled omelet and soon after the last two sausages. He chewed it slowly, savoring the taste like it'd be his last meal. He placed it down gently, putting the lid on it, sliding his chopsticks back into its case closing it before he placed it on top on the bento box.
He clasped his hands in thanks before he leaned back on his hands and he let out a burp before he sighed happily, patting his stomach with a satisfied stare. "Whoo!! Man, that hit the spot... She always knows how much to feed me... No matter how old I am, she always somehow knew when my appetite grew... Is that what the other kids at school are always talking about... How their mothers always know without them saying anything?... Is that what they call 'A Mother's instinct?' " He questioned aloud to himself as he stared at the sky, watching the clouds slowly drift by.
"I wonder what she's doing right now?... Probably eating... Maybe still working... Talking on the phone with a customer... A co-worker... Hopefully, it's a lady and not another guy.... Ha, now I sound like those guys who are protective of their moms." He said with a chuckle, a small smile on his face. He lays there in silence a little longer, lying down on his back as he crosses his arms under his head. "I wonder... How would she feel if I called her 'Mom'?... I mean, I would be shocked if she called me 'son'... But she already calls me things like 'sweetie', 'dear' and 'love', so... Maybe she wouldn't mind?.... Who am I kidding, of course, she would mind... Would she though?" He questioned as he lay there.
He stayed there for a few more minutes before he sat up, his legs bent and his arms resting on them. He stared down at the bento box, a gentle look on his face as he did. "I wouldn't know, If I don't try, right?" He asked himself aloud.

You sighed tiredly as you placed the stack of paper down on the counter in the lounge area, you sighed as you leaned on it, your arm resting on the stack while your other hand rested on the table. "Man, I can't wait for my shift to be over, I'm so ready to go home and relax with a nice dinner." You said, you stood there a little longer before you began separating the papers alphabetical order. 'Hmm, I wonder if Baki would want to come over for dinner today, it's been a while since we had dinner together.' You thought as your hands worked on autopilot, your eyes keeping tabs on the letters while your brain wondered.
'I should ask him after school today if he wants to have dinner together, knowing him he'd say yes, little foodie.' You thought fondly, a small smile gracing your face as you thought about him stuffing his face. You loved seeing Baki happy, he had such a rough life, and you were proud to be another constant form of normalcy in his life aside from school and having a girlfriend. You shook your head, remembering the sight of a young Baki, hungry and tired after constant training and depression, he wasn't frail but he wasn't exactly a normal thickness for a healthy child either.
A sad look crossed your face as you thought about it. 'Child neglect... It's a high rise here in Japan... And it's always so sad to see... Some women and men just didn't need to be parents.' You thought, Baki's mother crossing your mind, her arrogant stare as she glared at you, a saddened Baki by her side as he stared up at you with those big sad eyes. You hated that woman, she didn't deserve to be a mother... She was a monster, a selfish bitch, chasing after a man who didn't even want her, taking her frustrations out on a child. Your jaw clenched at the thought of her
Over the years of taking care of Baki, you've come to love him as your own child, you wished he was yours. You loved having him around, he made you feel so complete. Hearing him laugh in your living room as he watched TV, like a normal child, hearing his footsteps as he walked around, getting ready for school or to hit the gym, hearing him coming in from gym or school, a proud look on his face as he told you about him breaking his limits or about his grade improving. You watched him grow from a young teen to a young man, it made you proud to be in his life.
You stood there quietly for a while, the sound of shuffling paper was the only sound as you placed them in order, you paused halfway through, and you looked up in thought for a moment before you went back to work. "I wonder what I should make for dinner." You said aloud.

Baki walked down the street, hand in pocket while the other held his bag, a thoughtful look on his face as he walked. 'I'm gonna do it... I'm gonna walk in, like normal, I'm gonna sit at the table, like normal, and then I'm just gonna say it... It's just a simple word... Nothing too extreme... I'll just sit there casually, and I'll just say. "So, what's for dinner, Mom?".... Damn this is hard... I don't wanna make things awkward between us... But I also don't wanna constantly guess and wonder forever... Damn, this is tough.' He thought as he looked up, his brows creased in worry.
He sighed as he paused, his chest expanding before he held it for a moment, exhaling and his shoulders relaxed. A determined gleam in his eyes as he put a pep in his step. "I'm gonna do it!!" He said aloud, his walking picking up speed as he walked home. He walked for a while, his fast pace never slowing as he walked, he felt energized, nervous, nauseous, excited, worried, motivated... He was buzzing with so many emotions. His determined glare softened to a gentle gleam when he saw your form from a distance.
You were walking at a simple pace, you looked so small, so tired, yet still strong and sturdy. 'That's a mom for you, she's tired, she's beaten, she's bruised, but she still laughs, she still smiles, she still gives time for her young, she still carries on... The strongest human on earth is Yujiro Hanma, but the hardest to break is a Mother's Love.' Baki thought as he watched you walk ahead. His steps picked up speed as he caught up to you, it didn't take long, and once close enough he tapped your shoulder.
You jumped a little, looking over your shoulder and you relaxed the questioning look on your face into a happy smile when you saw Baki. The loving gleam in your eyes shined brightly and he stared at them, soaking up the stare. "Oh, Baki!! There you are, I was just wondering what I should make for dinner tonight." You said. He stared down at you sweetly as he smiled walking towards your home, you followed, your steps side by side as you both walked together through the crowded streets. Baki's eyes gleamed brightly as he steeled his resolve. 'Now.... This is the best time to do this.' He thought as his hand in his pocket balled into a fist.
"How about grilled fish, miso soup, and egg rolls with some rice... Mom?" He said, his voice wavered nervously at the end. Your eyes widen and you snatch your head to look over at him in question. 'Did I hear him right?... Did he just call me "mom"?' You thought, the soft yet scared look on his face, the cold sweat his eyes locked ahead of him, it all answered your question and you smiled. You wrapped your arm around his making him look down at you in shock with a questioning look. The happy look on your face, your eyes gleamed with unshead tears as you looked up at him.
"That sounds like a good idea, Son." You said. He slowly smiled at you, the scared look in his eyes relaxed and melted into a happy gleam as he tightened his arm around yours slightly. "Great... I was actually craving that at school today." He said, you giggled. "Really now? Well, it's a good thing you told me then because I was gonna make some fried cabbage, rice, and omelet." You said through a chuckle. "What!? Again!? Come on, Mom, you gotta eat better than that." He said playfully. You chuckled. "I know, I know... But I'll eat better now, I promise." You said.
You both walked together down the street, arms locked, happy smiles on your faces as you both looked like a mother and son having a playful banter.

I Wish | Part 5
Tumblr media
It felt like he was underwater.
Everything moved by so quickly, the sounds of an applauding audience, the greeting of their host, the friendly back and forth his friends engaged in. His friends attempted to pull him into and failed because he’d checked out the moment his backside hit the cushion, it all sounded so muted, all muddled together.
He sat on the couch, nobody questioned it, although Jeff gave him a curious once over before he took the lone chair closest to the host, allowing Eddie to sit between Dougie and Gareth, safe, secure, protected by the scrappy little one and the big protective one.
It wouldn’t have been too far from the truth to assume him fragile enough to need protection.
The Host was lovely, just as Steve had predicted, just as he'd promised. The host held up a little foam board prop with an image of what Eddie assumed to be an album cover printed onto it, asked questions that Jeff answered.
If anyone thought Eddie's awkward quietness was strange, nobody mentioned it.
Even the host, whose job it was to engage with them all seemed to realise that Eddie wasn’t quite right in the moment, so he naturally glossed over him, let him be to give the others in the band the limelight.
They couldn’t pin point when it started, and so there was no point in trying to bring him out of it there and then and risk a blow up that could have the appearance cancelled.
It was only after the laughter inducing back and forth regarding a broken arm Gareth sustained on their last tour thanks to an unfortunately aimed stage dive, well into their interview now, that the spotlight finally landed on Eddie.
“So, Eddie!” Eddie jerked to attention, eyes snapping to the host as if he’d been caught with his hand in the cookie jar “A little birdy told me that you and the rest of corroded coffin, are all seasoned Dungeons and Dragons players, is that right?” Eddie’s eyes widened a fraction further, as the audience cheered, forcing Eddie’s gaze away from the host to the audience in surprise.
It was… something to be excited about, now? Their nerdy little game, that’d seen them ostracised society, caused panic among the god fearing crowds, and had suburban mothers clutching their pearls overdramatically, was something to be excited about?
The muddied sound seemed to clear just a little. He knew this. He knew DnD. Even if they hadn’t played for a while, even if they had played recently and he just didn’t know, he could spin something with that!
What many in the audience would have called Eddie’s signature toothy grin lit up his face, and for the first time during that interview, he seemed to come alive. “Hell yeah we are, Jimmy! Although many a lost little sheep have come and gone from those hallowed halls of my legendary domain, we’ve been playing since middle school! Garebear not so much, he came to us in high school, guided by my good man Jeffinner over there with a character that so utterly not him that he died way too fast in the game to have been any note.” Jeff rolled his eyes at the nickname, but seemed happy that Eddie was finally talking.
“That was how we became friends really!” Gareth chimed in “Me an Eddie anyway, he thoroughly wiped the floor with us on my first campaign so I thought that was it, they were kickin me out, but NOPE he cornered me and helped me out rolling another character in one of the empty labs, made something way more myself, it was… really cool of him. It was my first year of high school, first attempt at making friends, I was terrified an he just… he’s always been really good at that, bringing people in, making them feel accepted.” An if Eddie felt himself getting just a little choked up at how fond Gareth spoke of him, well… that was between he himself and him.
“Well GOOD, because few of my friends an I, have been playing a campaign—” the audience collectively oooh’d as the cameras opposite them swung around to face a now lit up set of what could only be a campaign mid-way through. The map was down, the DM screen was set up, the mini’s were placed, dice were available, there were even character sheets and binders full of information on them resting neatly at each station along with drinks and snacks. It looked like a party had just got up and left mid-campaign. “—An we’re kinda new to it! But I’ve seen on your Instagram that your narrations are something of legend… so I think, we would all just love it if you’d DM a little for us.” Interest piqued, Eddie looked back to the host. “I simply do not have the gravitas to pull this off the way it ought to be done.”
He didn’t know what Instagram was, but he sure as shit knew how to DM something.
“Race you” was Eddie’s only comment, before he was up and scrambling over like a kid who’d just been greeted by a mountain of presents under a Christmas tree, definitely not the 50-something year old ex-addict he now was, earning laughter from the audience that felt real instead of prompted.
For the first time since waking up in that older, weathered body, Eddie felt like maybe not everything had to be bad about that possible future. At the very least he still had DnD.
He made it to the table first, granted he was the only one racing, but he set himself up at the head of the table behind the DM screen and immediately got to work while his bandmates found their own seats for the cameras and their audience. He skimmed through the pages in front of him, the scene their host had set up, the campaign they were working on, or at least what little notes they had on it as it clearly wasn’t a full campaign.
Just a set piece, an activity to fill the time, something to do, but Eddie could work with it.
“Oh hell yeah…” Eddie crooned to himself as he looked over the notes, it wasn’t much, but it was more than enough, he had a town name, he had a list of NPC’s both living and deceased, he had notes on his bandmates new characters, he even had a little script to make his own for the scene itself, but best of all… he had the details of the enemy. Something he hadn’t heard of before, something that didn’t exist yet in his own time, something that definitely didn’t belong in a little snippet scene like that one. It looked to belong in something long, but… soaking in the details of it… he was gonna fuck his friends up when he got home.
“That doesn’t sound good for us” Gareth sighed with a gentle shake of his head, already counting down the minutes before his poor little gnome would meet his inevitable end. Poor thing only had a few hit points left, which was curious considering their mini’s appeared to be situated at the gates of of a simple town by the sea. No dungeon to be seen.
“Tell me about it” Dougie groaned, head in his hands
“Alright alright, are we ready boys?” Their host seated himself on the left of Eddie, his own sheaf of papers in front of him, looking exactly as Eddie had done initially, like a kid at Christmas.
Eddie looked up over his screen, a glint of mischief in his eyes “dim the lights please! Spotlight on me, I require atmosphere.” The lights dimmed save for one lone warm white spotlight on him, the star of mayhem to come.
“Was nice knowin you, gents” Jeff sighed, already accepting the fate of his poisoned ranger. This poor party were in dire straits despite there being no clear villain, or any potential followers of it to be seen on the board.
“The Haunting bell of the town square clocktower rang thrice, echoing through the misty din of Rainwund Harbour’s early morning air” Eddie lifted the mic on his jacket closer to his lips and with the back of his throat, made a sound not dissimilar to the chime of a clocktower bell, once, twice, a third time, and then silence “You walk the deserted lamp lit cobblestone streets, your once sure footed steps wearied, your bodies strangely tired, worn, exhausted, trudging your way through eerie silence until you come upon your destination, The Seabird Inn…” He smiled with a devilish glee, the point of his canine tooth brushing his bottom lip, cheek dimpling with the pull of his smile if any of them felt comfort before he smiled, it was gone now. “Roll for Perception.”

That night I don’t see Xaden, Bodhi or Garrick. I had looked everywhere and come up short. I had even asked Mealladh if their dragons were there. When she came back with she couldn’t find their dragons I knew they were off doing something. But what? The last few days had been a blur. Violet and I had nearly been assassinated. Amber was now dead because of it. I had manifested my signet. And Jeremiah…. Jeremiah had gotten his and died. Jeremiah who had read some of Garrick’s mind. Who I had sworn was about to say Aretia before Xaden cut him off with his shadows. Why had Garrick been thinking about home? Yes my thoughts occasionally went back to there. But his thoughts had been panicked. Worried he would find out about something to do with Aretia. I was sure of it. That night my dreams took me home. To Aretia.
I wake to the sun shining through my window. I groan as I shield my eyes. I had left the curtain open like an idiot. Today was a very rare weekend day first years had off. And my dumbass had left my curtains open on the one day I could sleep in. Though it was still a small win, I had gotten to sleep in longer than I normally would. As my eyes adjust I notice the small package on my bedside table and a note attached to it. Someone had been in my room while I slept. Someone had gotten past my so called bodyguard. I sit up and carefully grab the note has my heart rate picks up. But as I see the handwriting it settles. It was Garrick’s.
’Sorry I wasn’t around last night. Hope this makes it up to you. - Garrick.’
I can’t help but smile at the note. We hadn’t gotten as much time together since we’d had our talk and celebration. Both of us busy. But I knew today I would have to find him and get what time I could. I had to talk to him and Xaden about my signet and the Jeremiah thing. I had to get answers. I was still yet to tell any professors about my signet. And I couldn’t delay it for much longer. I needed to start taking Professor Carr’s class. I needed to understand my signet and learn how to control it. Though so far I seemed to have pretty good control over it.
You have amazing control over it. You should be proud. Mealladh says to me.
I just feel like it has come so easy. Too easy. I reply.
I told you I picked you for a reason. You are perfect for this signet. This is only the beginning. But you do have incredible control over it already. I am proud of you. I can feel through the bond every word she speaks is true.
She throws her shield up leaving me alone again. She must be out hunting or something. I had felt her slight hunger through the bond as we spoke. I turn back to the package from Garrick and pull it into my lap. I pull on the string he used to wrap the brown paper around it. Inside is a box. When I open the lid a huge smile breaks over my face. Inside is one of my favourite treats from back home. It wasn’t something we could easily get back home either. It was something the Gryphon Riders would trade with us only a few times a year. My eyes go wide. Wait. Only those from Poromiel knew how to make this. They’d never taught us. Only Gryphon riders brought this to us. Garrick wouldn’t know how to make this. It’s as if my mind pieces it all together. The multiple nights they have been missing. Jeremiah reading Garrick’s mind and almost saying what I swear was Aretia. And now the food that sat in the box in my lap/ I throw my sheets off me as I quickly remove my sleep attire and pull on my uniform. I grab the box before running from my room. I push past Liam who tries to stop me till he see’s the box in my hands. I swear he goes slightly pale at the sight. But I don’t have time to ask him anything. I rush to the dining hall. Garrick or Xaden nowhere to be seen. I go to the gym next. Not there. I go to head to the flight field when I see Bodhi walk out from the dinning hall. I rush over to him. He smiles as I rush over.
”Where are they?” I demand, cutting him off as he goes to say hello.
His eyebrow furrows and then he looks down to my hands and see’s the box. I watch as his skin turns pale like he’s seen a ghost. He looks back up at me as he swallows nervously. He knows I’ve put it together.
”Ophelia I-”
”Take me to them. Now.” I cut him off angrily.
Bodhi merely nods before leading me into the academic building. Towards the tower Xaden and I had found to get away from the quadrant. I can sense how nervous and scared Bodhi is. His weakness right now is the truth they’ve been hiding from me. The truth that is about to come out. And he is scared. Our steps echo off the tower walls as we ascend the stairs. My heart thuds with each step I take. What the hell was I going to say? What the hell did I want to say? They’d lied to me. Hidden something important from me. As we ascend the last few steps I push past Bodhi and throw the door open. Garrick and Xaden turn to me, shocked at my sudden appearance as Bodhi slowly joins us.
“Is everything-”
I throw the box at Garrick, cutting his sentence short. Xaden goes pale as his eyes narrow and glare at Garrick.
”Want to explain how you got that?” I hiss at the men in front of me. “And don’t you dare say you made it. Because I know you didn’t.”
They all stare at me with guilt all over their faces. Except Xaden who looks like he might actually want to kill Garrick right now.
”You’re right. I didn’t make it. You know where I got it.” Garrick says in the most monotone voice I’ve ever heard from him as he looks me in the eyes.
I narrow my eyes at him. “I want to hear you say it.” I demand.
He gulps nervously and nods slowly. “Gryphon Riders.”
I turn to Xaden. “That’s why you panicked when Jeremiah locked onto Garrick’s mind. He was going to say Aretia before you cut him off. Wasn’t he?”
He begrudgingly tears his gaze from Garrick. “Yes. We had been talking about it before he burst into the courtyard.”
”And why were you talking about Aretia? Our home? Cause last time I checked it was gone.”
I was smart enough to piece together the puzzle in front of me. But I wanted to hear it from them. I needed to hear it from them. There was a reason Xaden had seemed so similar to our father recently. But I needed to hear it from the three people I held closest to me. The only family I had left.
Garrick and Xaden look at each other and they both nod, Garrick sighing in defeat as he prepares to tell me. He steps forward and holds the box out to me. I stare at it for a moment before I take it back angrily.
”Because we’ve been smuggling weapons to them. To help them. To protect them. To build an alliance with them. We’ve been doing it as soon as we were able to get away from the quadrant without raising suspicion.” He tells me quietly, as if he’s scared I will run off.
I can feel Garrick’s presence and I reach out. I can practically hear his rapid heartbeat beat through whatever connection I can make with this signet. He’s scared as hell. Everything him and Xaden have worked towards is out in the open. I also feel the worry of him losing me over this. He’s nervous at how angry I am. Damn right he should be.
”You’re building an alliance for another rebellion aren’t you?” I ask after silence falls over us.
Xaden stares at me intently as if trying to read my thoughts. His brow furrows in confusion before he nods. “Yes.”
I shake my head before walking back and forth in front of them. They hadn’t lied to me per say, but had kept something big from me. Something they all knew I would want to be in on. Aretia was my home. And we had all believed in my father’s course of action. Because it was the right thing to do.
“Why didn’t you tell me sooner? Why did you keep me in the dark?” I finally ask as I lean up against the railing over looking the quadrant.
“I just wanted to protect-“
I whip around to face Xaden who had stepped forward to talk to me. “To protect me? Gods, I don’t know how many times since I have been here that I have proven I don’t need protecting anymore! I am not that little girl you said goodbye to that day in Aretia!” I yell at him as Bodhi and Garrick look at us in shock, Garrick stepping back to stand near Bodhi.
“You’re my sister. A sister I thought died all those years ago. I will not lose you again!” Xaden fumes as he storms over to me.
“But you didn’t. I spent five years with him. Spent five years fighting for my life every single day. One wrong move and he would have ended me and we both know that. Five years I played the part he wanted me to play. The small naïve Riorson daughter who didn’t know better at the time. I fought every single day to make sure I could come back to you all. So don’t you dare say to me I need fucking protecting Xaden. Because I have proven I can look after myself. I have proven I don’t need any of you to do it for me. Because I did it for myself for five years.”
Garrick and Bodhi stand behind Xaden frozen in place as we stand toe to toe. Xaden and I had never raised a voice at each other. Yes we would butt heads and say some colourful words at each other. But this was a first. Bodhi and Garrick looked torn at pulling us apart or coming to defend the girl they use to know. I was not letting them push me around and coddle me like the young girl I was. I had proven I could defend myself.
“I don’t need your bodyguard. I don’t need you to have the other marked ones keep eyes on me like I’m some fragile little girl. She died the day she left Aretia.”
“Yes she did die. She literally did for all of us five years ago. We all thought you were dead. I cannot go through that again. I won’t go through that again.” He almost pleads to me as he goes to put his hands on my shoulders. “Just let us watch-“
“No!” I yell as power surges through me.
All of a sudden we are not standing in the tower anymore over looking the quadrant and the valley surrounding. We’re standing in the courtyard of Aretia. Except it’s were not. Its not real. There’s a sheen to it as if it’s a figment of our imagination. All four of us staring at our surroundings in awe. Xaden is the first to snap out of it as he turns back to me, his eyes wide with shock. I had somehow managed to feed on our collective weakness right now. Our home. Our home was our weakness and we would all fight for it. Like we were right now. I had somehow projected it for us all to see.
“How…. How did you do that?” Xaden asks as I look back at him.
“I-I don’t know. It just kind of happened.” I say as I look around in shock.
The image of Aretia slowly fades away, putting us back in the tower. Back in the quadrant. As it does so I can feel the presence in my head that I had tugged at. Xaden. I had pulled at his presence. But I hadn’t fully felt it when I did. As if my mind had reached out with out me willing it during my out burst at Xaden.
“You need to keep that part to yourself. If the professors find out you can do that…. They might see you as innistic.” He says sternly.
I slowly nod my head. He was right. Even though we were yet to tell the Professors I had manifested my signet, revealing I could cast projections like that would definitely have them questioning me. As Xaden had always said, I had an uncanny ability to see peoples strengths and weaknesses. And now it seemed I could project on that. Make them see it. Something the higher ups would want to either cut out or use for themselves. And I’m sure Melgren would find a way to keep me for himself if he found out. Seems I could do a lot more than just will things to move with my mind.
Behind him Bodhi and Garrick are staring at me shocked. They had seen me throw someone against a wall and float things towards me. But being able to get in someone’s head and project something like that was something neither of them had expected.
“Now can you please let me in on this. Let me fight for our home again. Let me help.” I plead to Xaden. “You know my signet can help. I can help. I want to fight for my home.”
He sighs before shaking his head. Torn at if to let me help, or keep trying to protect me. “You need to get it under control first. But you are right as much as it pains me to say.”
“Xaden.” Garrick goes to start before Xaden raises a hand silencing him.
Garrick’s lips tighten into a thin line as he holds back the words he wants to say.
“I can’t let you on the supply runs. It’s too risky with a first year. Too hard to explain. Especially if Melgren is keeping an eye on you. But I can tell you what is going on. Next year I can give you more. I’ll need someone to help Bodhi here when Garrick and I have graduated.”
I can tell the words are hard for him to say. But he knows I can help. Even if it’s just being in on what’s happening, it’s better than being left in the dark. Eventually my signet could be a big help. Meaning I would need to focus as much time as I could into mastering it and strengthening it. I let out the breath I didn’t realise I was holding as my anger starts to dull.
“And no more bodyguard.” I add as I look between Garrick and Xaden. “I’ve proven I am just as good as Liam.”
Xaden goes to object as Garrick steps forward and places a hand on his shoulder. “She’s right Xaden. She doesn’t need one. She has proven she can defend herself as much as I hate to say iot. She’s not the girl we use to know. And if you ever get worried she can stay in my room. I’ll look after her.”
Xaden looks between the two of us. Clearly he’s not overly impressed about the idea of Garrick and I sharing a room even though he is happy we finally sorted our shit out. But eventually he slowly nods. Garrick would pretty much always be with me minus some classes, where I would be with Liam anyway. Meaning outside of classes Liam would only have to keep his focus on Violet.
“Fine. But I swear to gods you two better put up silencing wards. I do not want to hear anything.”

“Every dragon has a treasure.”
Grandfather spoke seriously to me, his large silver form towering over my small one. I never felt fear or discomfort facing him, despite his enormous size, however, because his eyes were always filled with warmth and love.
“Like gold?” I asked, rolling on the ground to scratch the new scales on my back. “Or diamonds?”
“Treasure for a dragon is much more than a simple shiny object.” Grandfather watched my actions with a toothy grin. “It represents something much greater than that. A treasure can’t be owned by the dragon, quite the opposite in fact.”
He reached out a claw, flipping me over and patting the dirt and grass from the ridges on my back. I looked up at him, stunned by the seriousness in his gaze. “A dragon’s treasure is whatever owns his heart. It is a piece of their soul, the truest home a dragon can have is by his treasure’s side. If something happens to the treasure, it destroys the heart of the dragon… so we protect our treasures with our lives.”
“Wow! I want a treasure!” I tried to fly, but my immature wings could only lift me a few feet before I fell back down to the ground.
“Oh Little One, you will.” He assured me. “Every dragon does.”
“Wait... then what’s your treasure?”
His eyes grew very sad. “My treasure was your grandmother. I loved her more than life itself.”
“My grandmother? I shook my head, confused. “Where is she?”
“She passed, Child. She had to leave me first.” His eyes had tears in them. “Dragons are nearly immortal, but there are still far too many things that can end our journeys early.”
“I thought you said if something happens to your treasure…?”
“Her death destroyed me… I wanted to follow her.” He stared out at the sky. “But your parents had fallen in the same battle… and I couldn’t leave my Little One alone. You were just an egg then.” His eyes focused back on me. “I will always miss her, my heart will never be the same. However, she would want me to care for you, raise you well. You are our grandchild, a living proof of her existence, and I am fortunate to have the chance to be your family.”
I rushed over and hugged Grandpa’s leg. “It’s okay! Don’t be sad!  I love you!”
“I love you too!” He smiled again. “And one day, Little One, when you find your treasure, I hope that you both know nothing but peace and joy. “
“I’ll find my treasure! And then you can live with both of us!”
His large claw rested gently on my head. “I would love that.”
I went to sleep that night, dreaming of family and a bright future ahead.
The next day, I lost everything.
_______________________________
I was playing in a field, chasing butterflies. I scampered after a bright blue one, capturing it gently between my claws.
“Pretty!” I admired its big blue wings. “I wish I could fly like you! Grandpa says I need to grow a few more years before my wings will be big enough.” My voice dropped to a whisper. “But I practice anyways! When I can fly I’ll go looking for my treasure! And then I will grow up big and strong and protect everyone, so no one has to be sad like my grandpa ever again!”
The butterfly flapped its wings nervously, and I opened my claws to release it. “Go home, butterfly! Bye bye!”
I watched as it flew away… directly into a blue portal that materialized in front of me. The poor creature was incinerated as I stared, horrified.
“What is going on…?” A glowing blue figure stepped out. It looked somewhat human, but not at the same time. I briefly wondered if it was like Grandpa, who could take a human form when he needed to be smaller. As I considered this, the being stepped closer, its eyes focused directly on me. Feeling uneasy, I backed away a few steps.
YOU ARE A DRAGON?
The words were spoken and at the same time wrote themselves in the sky above me. I knew how to read, Grandpa had taught me, but I had never heard of a being that could speak written words into existence.
“Y-yes! I’m a mighty dragon like my grandpa!” I puffed out my chest proudly, but after a moment my shoulders still shrank back in fear.
YOU HAVE BEEN CHOSEN.
“Chosen? For what?”
YOU WILL BE A MIGHTY HERO, TRAVELING TO MANY WORLDS, SAVING THE UNIVERSE. YOU WILL BE GIVEN UNIMAGINABLE POWER AND WEALTH. YOU WILL BE THE GREATEST DRAGON TO EVER EXIST.
“… cool.” I thought it over. “Can my grandpa come?”
NO. THIS WORLD WILL BE DESTROYED BY YOUR DEPARTURE.
“Oh… no thank you, then.” I started backing away. “I have to go home now.”
YOU HAVE BEEN CHOSEN. REFUSAL WILL NOT BE ALLOWED.
I turned away to run “GRANDPA!”
“CHILD! RUN!” I saw my grandfather, his large silver form flying desperately towards me. In his eyes I saw a look I had never seen before, no matter how many dangers we had faced since my hatching.
He looked scared.
“GRANDPA!”
YOU MUST ACCEPT YOUR FATE.
Power made of blue fire wrapped around me. My grandfather was close enough to breath his own fire towards the unknown being, but it disintegrated into nothingness as it neared it.
“LITTLE ONE! NO!”
A terrified cry. Tear-filled eyes. A look of anguish.
My last memory of my grandfather, before my home realm was destroyed.
And then I was truly alone.
_______________________________
I was taken to a new realm, a realm only for me. Nothing else could live there. Insects, plants, even moss and mold… they would appear briefly, live just long enough for me to dream that this time, things would be different, before withering away. Death was my constant companion in this realm. Each time a new living creature or plant would arrive, I would tell myself not to hope. Hope would only result in more pain. But still my young heart beat quickly with it each time I discovered something new.
But soon, loneliness would no longer be my greatest fear. The System began dragging me into lower realms, telling me to play my part.
I will never forget my first mission.
It was a high school world. My character was a bully, one that tormented the hero and heroine relentlessly. His father was a very wealthy and influential man, and this boy leveraged every once of that prestige to make others miserable.
When I arrived, I was scared, confused. I had never been a human before, much less in a place of only humans. Even as I tried to orient myself to my new surroundings, however, I was given a mission:
My mission was to die.
In the story, character failed to separate the hero and his love. In this end his misdeeds were exposed on the internet, and the entire world turned against him. Even his father disowned him, cutting off financial support, which had been the only affection he had bothered to bestow upon the boy.
"EVIL! VILLAIN!"
He received thousands upon thousands of messages like this.
"WORTHLESS! DIE!"
Near the end of the story, the villain took his own life. My mission was to continue with the villain’s role as written, while the hero’s story would be changed to save the realm.
I refused.
My grandfather had always taught me to be kind to others, and to myself. I couldn’t bully the two leads, any more than I could harm myself because others wanted me to. I was still a dragon, at least at heart, and I would stay strong.
When I changed the ending, the world faded around me with a simple glowing message:
MISSION FAILED.
I was back in my dragon form in my prison realm, and standing in front of me was an angry young man.
“Are you happy?” He asked me, his eyes cold.
“I don’t understand. Who are you?”
“Obviously you don’t understand!” He pointed at himself. “I am the hero.” His finger turned towards me. “YOU are the villain. We each have our parts to play.”
“I don’t want to harm others, or myself.” I backed away, showing my teeth in a way grandpa had taught me to scare off bad guys like him. “Go away!”
His response was a vicious smile. “Do you know what happened to that world? That lower realm we had traveled to?”
I shook my head.
“Show him, System!” With a wave of his hand a portal opened up next to me. I tried to back away further, but paused at the sight inside:
My character refused to jump off the school roof, as the original ending dictated. As my character was surrounded in blue fire and slumped to the ground, the entire world began bending and warping. The world slowly began to cave in on itself, turning into nothingness.
It was a familiar sight to me, and as I watched, golden tears dripped from my eyes.
It was exactly like the destruction of my home world.
“You killed them.” I whispered, horrified.
“No. YOU killed them.” He leaned forward, and the madness in his eyes terrified me. “You didn’t play your part! The world became unstable and collapsed. Do you understand? All those children you met, all the teachers and parents… every single person you met in that realm… dead. All because of you.”
My small claws covered my head, trying to hide. “NO!”
“Oh yes, what a wonderful villain you turned out to be.” He laughed. “You bring nothing but pain and destruction to those around you, and you need to learn to follow the rules.”
“…”
“You must accept your fate, Villain.” He left with those parting words, which would haunt me each moment going forward
_______________________________
I changed shortly after that. Each time I was dragged into a lower realm, I would get my mission, and fulfill it as simply and quickly as possible. I avoided bullying or harming others, only possible as my mission was almost always regarding the ending for the villain. But the ending required was always terrible.
Death continued to be my constant companion, this time my own. Countless missions of death and destruction, until they all blurred into one another. I never knew if my obedience to the mission changed the fates of these realms or not as Adonis and the System would never tell me. I could only hope.
I matured into adulthood, but nothing changed in my suffering. I had almost forgotten who I was. I had no name but "Villain", I had no purpose but to be defeated so that others could thrive.
I did take some solace in that my current compliance did not make them happy. My race towards the ending of each realm irritated Adonis, which I learned was the name of the hero who would visit me occasionally in my realm.
“You are moving too fast! I don’t have any time to do my part in the realm as you race towards your own bad ending! If you can’t play along…” He trailed off with a threatening tone.
I looked at him without interest. His words meant nothing to me. “You cannot threaten me.” I told him, feeling numb.  “You have already destroyed everything I love. My family is gone. I am alone.”
And I was alone.
On the rare nights I wasn’t dragged into the lower realms to die, I would dream of my home. Of watching dragons fly freely in the sky. Of my grandfather and his loving smile, of his dream that I would find my treasure and live out my days in joy and peace. Each time i dreamt, the details would fade a bit more. I was losing my sense of self, of any purpose other than that which had been forced on me.
I was a dragon, my grandpa said that was something to be proud of.
But I slowly I turned into something else, something twisted. I was becoming the villain I had been named and nothing more.
If life had continued on that way, I don’t know what my ending would have been. A dragon is immortal, but there are still ways to cut their journeys short. Death of hope, destruction of the soul, is one of those ways. I was heading towards a point of no return.
And then I met Bel.
_______________________________
We first met in a lower realm, where I was an assassin, she the heroine. She was lost, confused, and acting totally out of character for the story, which shocked me. I hadn't known there was another traveler like Adonis. After we ran into each other, she spoke to me normally, even kindly, overwhelming me by even the brief interaction. When she asked my name, I responded “Villain” the only one I could remember.
She misheard and called me Liam.
I didn’t correct her, it was the best name I had ever been called.  We drank coffee and talked, and it was the happiest time I could remember since the destruction of my world.
But all good things must end, and there was a counter to finish this mission.  Our missions in this world were the same: the death of the assassin. Seeing her worried gaze on me, I realized this was the first time someone had showed me concern since my grandfather.
I didn’t want her to be sad.
I drank poison, pretending to drink her cup by mistake, and walked away.
Death was my constant companion, but I didn’t want her to see me die.
I saw her a few times after that, mostly in non-human or monstrous forms. She remained the same no matter my appearance, which made me start to wonder a very dangerous thought: would she still be so kind if she knew I was a dragon, a villain?
I buried that hope deep within my heart, not wanting to examine it too closely. But soon it would be difficult to ignore.
_______________________________
Adonis cast her into my realm. He was punishing her, trying to force her to agree with accepting the path and bonds of fate. He knew she would suffer in my realm, slowly having her life drained from her. He must have expected her to cave, to turn back to him in less than a day.
I too thought she would return to the Higher Realm. Initially I treated her coldly, not wanting to have any hope that she would be different than any other living animal or plant that appeared in this place. She would leave here, and it was best I wasn’t too attached.
But Adonis and I both underestimated the wonderful stubbornness of Bel.
She felt the draining effect of the realm, yes, but refused to give in, wanting to stay. I hovered over her, watching her increasingly pale form with increasing anxiety. I had to do something, but what could I, a prisoner and villain, possibly do?
When I got pulled into the lower realm once more, it was a horror story, a world of vampires. I adjusted to my new form, and instead of heading straight to my destruction as I typically did, I found Adonis instead.
“Are you enjoying the company, Villain?” He asked me with a sarcastic grin.
“I actually go by Liam now.” I responded blandly, my fear of him long ago corroded by time and countless deaths. “And yes, I’m happy for her presence.”
Adonis’ eyes filled with rage. “You are NOTHING to her. Nothing but a villain. And don’t get too comfortable, she will be leaving soon.”
“That’s up to her, isn’t it? She wasn’t too happy with you last time I checked.”
He swung his fist at my head in anger, but it was a useless move. I was a vampire in this world. Compared to me, his human form might as well be moving in slow motion. I dodged his arm easily, and knocked him to the ground.
“She doesn’t belong there!” He spat out.
"Why not?" I hoped he would say something to help me figure out how to help her.
Fortunately he obliged. “Her very nature is that of a heroine. Your realm will reject her, slowly destroy her. Just like your pathetic and evil nature keeps you alive and well in your little prison. You can’t change your nature, Villain. That evil place shares your energy, but will only drain hers until she dies.”
I felt relieved at the extra information, but also horrified at the same time. “You do remember that you were the one to put her in that realm, right? Were you trying to kill her?!”
Adonis smiled. “She just needed a little reminder of who she is, and what she needs to do.”
“And what is that?”
“She needs to accept her fate.”
At his words, I reached out, grabbing his neck and lifting him off the ground. My nails pierced the skin of his neck, his blood dripped down my hand onto the floor and I felt my fangs pierce my gums, preparing to feed. I held back though, not wanting to taste his blood. It smells terrible. I assume the energy within must be very contaminated by his self-absorbed soul and ruthless nature. I thought, my brain slowly making a connection.
Wait… if blood carries energy, and the essence of one’s nature… Then I might have a way to help Bel.
Even as I felt excited about this revelation, I felt a sharp pain in my back. I turned, just in time to see the heroine of the story holding a stake, stabbing it through to my heart.
Adonis laughed as my hand released him and I stumbled backwards, clutching at my chest. “See, monster? The heroine will only ever despise you and kill you if she can.”
“That’s not Bel.” I muttered, feeling my life fade from me. “That woman is a character from this world.”
“Bel IS the heroine, Villain, she will be the prototype from which all heroines will derive their fate. She can only be the heroine.  Just like you can only be a monster. She will never stay by your side." He stepped closer. "I’m just waiting for her to realize the truth of what you are and what she is. And then she’ll return to me. Return to where she belongs.”
The last thing I saw in this realm was his confident smile, and the heroine’s blank uncaring stare.
I died painfully in that realm, but it gave me an idea. I fed her my dragon blood, filled with the same energy as the realm that imprisoned us. It sustained her briefly, but I worried that it was only delaying the inevitable.
We spent the time together, getting to know each other better. She was kind, curious, outspoken. She found the humor in everything, and slowly I found myself joking alongside her. A deep certainty grew within me.
She was my treasure.
Just like my Grandpa said. Not an object, not something that could be owned. My heart belonged to her. I, who had lost any home since the destruction of my own world, had found it: by her side.
I took a chance, showed her my true self, my heart in my throat the entire time as her eyes studied my dragon form.
She smiled, and the love I felt was overwhelming. I was drowning in it. For the first time in a long time, I felt that I was something more than just a villain, a monster.
I was a dragon, and she was my treasure. I would protect her with my life, protect her happiness, no matter what.
_______________________________
But our story, at least the first time around, was not one with a happy ending, but a tragedy.
I proposed. Asked her to marry me in the mermaid realm. She agreed, and we had a wedding. She had made a deal with the sea witch to marry her true love, and at the moment we said “I do” her mission was complete.
We returned to my prison, to my realm.
And she was dying.
I felt my heart dying with her. A part of me wanted to force her to return to the Higher Realm, to be safe. But I couldn’t. I couldn’t ask her to buy her safety with her freedom. I could only allow her to make her own choice, and stay by her side. I remembered vaguely my grandfather telling me about my grandmother’s death. And I understood. I couldn’t resume my hopeless lonely existence I couldn’t continue without her.
I would stay with her, and I would die with her.
But the end I expected didn’t come. The System made a deal with her and I watched on, holding my breath, as she agreed. And as she disappeared, I panicked.
“LET ME FOLLOW HER!”
The System studied me, looking at me closely without emotion or curiosity. It was as if it was solving a mathematical equation that I was a part of.
SHE HAS MADE A DEAL, YOU CANNOT FOLLOW HER.
“I’ll make a deal too! Take anything you want, please just let me follow, let me protect her!”  My heart, my soul was tearing in two, she was so far from me, and she was in danger.
YOU HAVE NOTHING TO OFFER.
“You can have ME! You can have your perfect villain! I’ll play my role, I’ll never once step out of line or rush to the end! You can have the puppet you always wanted.”
... YOU WOULD SACRIFICE YOUR FREE WILL?
I didn't hesitate.
“For her? Anything.”
Words scrolled in front of me. The deal the System offered. I would be allowed no memories, but I could follow her to every world. I wasn’t worried about not remembering her. She was part of my soul, my treasure. I could no more harm her than I could rip my own heart from my chest. But the cost.
Oh, the cost.
It was a deal with the devil, but still I considered it. The System, sensing my hesitation, spoke again.
SHE HAS COMPLETED FIVE WORLDS ALREADY… BUT WITHOUT PURPOSE SHE IS IGNORING THE POWER AVAILABLE TO HER. HER WILL IS FALTERING. CALCULATED CHANCE OF SUCCESS IS LESS THAN ONE PERCENT.
“If I take this deal and help her? Does it improve her chances?”
UNKNOWN. SIX WORLDS.
I felt my soul tearing apart. The System was demanding I put not just my freedom and will on the line, but countless worlds that I had saved before. If I agreed, I would have no defense. I would be the monster, the villain that Adonis called me.
Not Bel’s Liam.
The System’s monster.
SHE IS STARTING THE ELEVENTH WORLD. AT CURRENT CALCULATIONS, SHE WILL GIVE UP IN THE TWELFTH. THE DEAL WILL BE SUCCESSFUL, AND ALTHOUGH YOUR OFFER TO HAVE A PERFECT VILLAIN WOULD GREATLY SIMPLIFY THE PROCESS... YOU CAN BE REPLACED. YOU ARE UNNECESSARY. THIS IS YOUR LAST CHANCE TO ACCEPT.
Bel needed me. I had a choice, and I willingly made it. And even if I damned my soul for eternity, I would burn happily for her safety.
I pressed “Yes”.
_______________________________
“Every dragon has a treasure.”
A young child sat in front of me in the park, his eyes wide with wonder. His dark hair resembled my own, but his eyes…
His eyes were just like his mother’s.
“Like pirate treasure?!” He asked excitedly, and I couldn’t help but laugh, remembering a long ago conversation with my grandfather.
“No, much better than that! A dragon’s treasure can’t be owned, because it is the treasure who owns the dragon’s heart. The truest home a dragon can have is by his treasure’s side. And so, we dragons protect our treasures with their lives.”
“Wow! Do YOU have a treasure, Dad?”
At his question, I looked over to the side, where Bel and our other three children were. They were sneaking up on a couple sitting on a park bench, a handsome man in a suit, speaking to a young woman wearing a loosely fitted dress.
“I'm sorry but I have to go." The man said dramatically.
"Where are you going?! And why?"
"I can’t tell you what’s going on, Penny!”
“Why not?!” The woman he called Penny cried. “Please, Charles, Don't leave! You don’t understand, I really need you here! What’s going on? Just talk to me!”
“It’s for your own protection.” He paused. “Wait, why do you really need me here? Is something going on?”
Penny looked away. “Never mind.”
“STOP RIGHT THERE!”
PSST!
Our little girl, Hannah, raced forward with her sister Selina and her brother Adam, all wielding small spray bottles.
“Who are you…?” Charles tried to ask, only to be pushed down in his seat by the horde of children.
“You two have terrible communication skills!” Hannah put her hands on her hips, glaring at the male and female leads. “And at this rate you two are headed towards a bad end.”
“What?” Penny shook her head. “We communicate just fine!”
“If that is what you think good communication is, I hate to see what you think bad looks like!” Adam rolled his eyes. “Just because you both are technically speaking words in the same language does not mean you can communicate.”
“Yeah, what they said.” Selina, the quiet one of the three, finally spoke up.
“Listen you little…” Charles started to swear, but stopped, sputtering, when Selina sprayed him in the face.
PSST!
“Sorry, could you repeat that? I couldn’t hear you over the sound of the stupid coming out of your mouth.”
Charles tried to stand up, a hand raised threateningly, only to scream in pain as Bel put him into an arm lock and expressionlessly forced him back onto his bench.
“Hands to yourself, and listen to the children.”
“Why should I listen to these snot nosed brats?”
“Because even children have more common sense than you two. Also if you don’t listen I’ll just beat you both up until you agree.”
“YEAH! OUR MOM WILL BEAT YOU UP!” Hannah shouted.
“AND THEN OUR DAD WILL EAT YOU!” Adam added.
Hannah looked back at her brother, whispering. “Dad doesn’t eat people!”
He shrugged in response.  “They don’t know that.”
Selina stepped forward.
“First” She pointed at the hero. “Charles here is leaving to deal with assassin’s hired by his estranged father. They told him that if he doesn’t return home to take over the family business, they will have his love…” She pointed at Penny. “YOU… killed. He’s worried that if for some reason he doesn’t make it, that you would blame yourself. So he hopes to keep you in the dark, to protect you.”
“How did you know that?!” Charles burst out, and then looked chagrined as he realized he had confirmed her words.
“You really are trying to protect me? You’re not trying to trick or dump me?” Penny looked relieved.
“I’m sorry, Dear, I just was worried… I love you!”
“I love you too…”
PSST!
Selina sprayed Penny this time.
“What was that for?! We cleared the misunderstanding!” Penny wiped her face with hand, annoyed.
Hannah and Adam joined their sister.
“Oh really? You’ve talked about everything?”
“Not hiding any story-changing, unnecessary secrets?”
Penny paused, looking guilty. Charles panicked, holding her hand. “What is it? No matter what, we’ll face it together!”
“Like you were going to face your family?”
“… Sorry.”
“it’s okay. I’ve been hiding a secret too.” She glanced over at the three bright eyed children and their brandished water dispensers with a shudder. “...I’m pregnant.”
“…” Charles sat back, obviously shocked.
“I knew you wouldn’t be happy!” With a cry, Penny tried to run away.
PSST!
All three children sprayed her back down into her seat.
“Nice try, heroine, but avoiding difficult conversations and living in unnecessary misunderstandings isn’t gonna happen around us!” Hannah smiled, the expression strangely threatening for a child.
“Fine.” She timidly stared at the hero. “What are you thinking?”
Charles stood up, and wordlessly hugged Penny into his arms. “I love you!” He spun her around in a circle, and then panicked, setting her down gently. “I’m sorry! I picked you up while you’re pregnant! Is our baby okay?! Should I take you to the hospital?!”
Penny laughed. “Baby and I are fine.”
He hugged her again, this time very gently. “I won’t leave you. We’ll face everything: this pregnancy, our families… side by side.” He knelt down in front of her. “Marry me?”
“We’re already married?”
“That was an arranged marriage, let’s get married because WE want to!”
“YES!” The two hugged again, while the three children and Bel looked on approvingly, with polite applause.
“Not bad." Adam commented.
"Yeah, some good listening, some compromise…” Hannah added.
“They’re still both idiots.” Selina muttered under her breath, and then forced a smile. “I mean, good job!” She gave a halfhearted thumbs up, which the other two mimicked.
“Um… thanks.” The hero and heroine paused, staring confused at the three. “Who are you guys? And how do you know so much about us?”
The children took a fancy pose. “We’re the Hero Rehabilitation Unit! Although we’re missing our other brother who’s over there with our dad!” Hannah pointed at us. “He’s a big villain dragon and is awesome! Our Mom is an almighty inhuman existence that can travel to infinite worlds!”
“What…?
Bel pulled them away. “Just ignore us, and don’t keep secrets from each other from now on! Communication is the key to a healthy marriage!”
“Mom! You were supposed to pose with us!”
“I never agreed to that!”
I watched my wife argue with our children, once again feeling relieved again that she had taken this whole: having-four-children-at-once thing in stride. We hadn’t been sure what to expect, given our different natures. But four eggs all at once… was definitely still a shock.
After the hatching, we had moved back to the vampire world that we had been before. Selina the familiar was a godsend during those crazy first months. Watching her quip and sarcasm her way through four newborns, including her namesake, had been entertaining. Although her sense of humor definitely had rubbed off on the kids.
And now they have grown. However, being half-dragon, half-immortal System, they aged a bit slowly. At least they could all freely change between dragon and human forms since birth, unlike a full-blooded dragon like myself who could only change at adulthood.
Bel saw me staring, and gave me a smile. The love I saw in the expression made my heart beat faster. I loved my wife more every day. Although I HAD been worried at first, after the System and Adonis had been defeated. She and I both knew the deal I made, what I had done to follow her. I was terrified that she might leave me now that she knew everything. She could have shunned me, never saw me again, and I wouldn't have blamed her for it. Her response at the time, instead, had healed my fractured soul.
"When I look at you, Liam, I don't see a hero or a villain. You agreed to the System's deal, yes. You risked countless worlds, putting my safety in front of all of their lives. But if you hadn't, I would have failed, and the whole universe would still be heading for destruction. Some may judge us, some may agree with us. All I can say is, given the same choice as you... I would do the same."
I still felt guilty at times, but as I traveled the realms with my wife and children, saving worlds. I slowly made peace with the past. No one would be enslaved by fate again. We would save realms like my home world from destruction. Just like my grandfather wished, we lived out our days with joy and peace. I hoped our happiness would allow my grandfather's soul to rest.
I smiled back at Bel.
“Dad!” My son Kellen called my attention again. “You didn’t answer my question! Do you have a treasure?”
I smiled at him, and then nodded and pointed over at his mother, Bel.
My wife. My love. My heart. My home.
My treasure.

Raindrop (Neuvillette x reader)
Tumblr media
Neuvillette x gn!reader; Angst, pure angst in a somewhat established relationship, reader’s implied death.
The story is set when the reader’s time is running out (of whatever cause you can imagine), and Neuvillette is sad. The reader is implied to be Fontainian.
Words: 1k
Notes:  Finally, a genshin fic other than Wriothesley! I literally wrote this when I was listening to Pluie sur la ville (definitely recommended on listening the ost while reading this one!!!!! I recommend this music box version for this fic tho, it fits so well) and imagined Neuvillette brooding over something. That’s why this fic is short, cos I basically just wanted a story of Neuvillette basically feeling angsty heheheh
Anyways, I hope you enjoy! :D

Swish. Swish.
With each pull of the oar, the water responded in kind flow, sending out delicate ripples that painted the pond's surface. Pink flower petals twirled to the movement of the waves, a graceful accompaniment to the wooden paddle's gentle strokes.
The boat drifted leisurely through the clear water, its movement smooth and serene, like a dream on liquid glass. The rustling of the wind added its voice to the nature, tousling your hair as you reached to fix it.
The man seated across from you returned your gaze with a warm, genuine smile. His eyes seemed to hold a depth that mirrored the tranquil pond, and his smile filled the space between you. In this secluded forest of Erinnyes, it felt as though the entire world had faded away, leaving just the two of you to share the moment.
As the boat reached the center of the pond, he gently set down the oar. You took the moment to reach for his hand, intertwining your fingers with his.
But your eyes wandered to the water rippling near the pond's edge, fed by a nearby creek. The question escaped your lips as you voiced your curiosity, as you held his hands in yours.
"Do you think that… water possesses the will to flow freely?"
Neuvillette met your gaze, his expression thoughtful as he pondered your unexpected question. After a moment, he spoke, his voice carrying a hint of contemplation.
“I would like to believe that they do, why?”
His answer brought a bittersweet smile to your lips as you kept your gaze to the creek. You brought his hand to your cheek, savoring the warmth of his touch. For just a moment, you allowed yourself to close your eyes, as if to capture this fleeting moment, knowing it might be the last time you two would have such a peaceful interlude together.
“I just want to know…,” you paused, the words catching in your throat before you continued, “so when the time comes, I can… find you.”
As you opened your eyes, you found Neuvillette still, his expression hiding a mix of fear and sadness beneath his composed facade. You already knew him well enough to see the emotions hidden behind his eyes.
Neuvillette sighed heavily, lowering his head and letting his hand fall to his side. His gaze shifted to the side, facing the waters of the pond. He knew full well what the future held, as much as he dreaded it, it was inevitable.
“One day, Neuvillette, once I become the water itself, I’d be happy to visit you anytime,” you said softly.
The cloudy skies overhead seemed to mirror the heaviness in your heart. As much as you dreaded broaching this topic, especially at this tranquil moment, you felt the pressing weight of your impending fate. The time left for the both of you to enjoy each other’s company had grown short, each passing moment a reminder like of the ticking clock.
“Promise me, love, that you would move on. Just as water finds its way, no matter how many obstacles it faces, no matter how lost it may seem,” you whispered, your voice sweet and tender, as if to ease his pain, just as your own.
Neuvillette’s heart clenched at your words, the reality of your mortality weighing heavily on his shoulders. As the hydro dragon sovereign, he knew all too well that your time with him was fleeting, a mere fraction of his own eternity.
“I haven’t got to say this before, but,” you paused, taking a deep breath before continuing. “I really do cherish the time with you. The years we've spent together have been everything to me,” you mustered the strength to speak, pouring your heart out, as your voice began to tremble.
Pitter. Patter.
The sound of raindrops began to fill the air, as light rain fell upon the surface of the pond. Neuvillette remained still, his head turned away, keeping the emotions stirring within him as his brows furrowed.
But you already knew him well enough to understand what he was feeling, what the rain meant. You immediately leaned forward, cupping his face in your hands as you gently caressed his cheeks. “Oh, my Hydro Dragon, please don’t weep…”
Neuvillette met your gaze, pain evident in his eyes. He understood your attempt to comfort him, to ease his sorrow, as the warmth of your hand seeped into him.
But why could he see tears rolling down your cheeks?
•~•~•~•
Swish. Swish.
Neuvillette stood at the water's edge, his gaze fixed on the waves, ebbing and flowing gently. The rhythm of their motion seemed to echo the gentle beating of his own heart. The sky above was serene, a canvas of quietude painted by the sound of the crashing waves.
Despite his busy days, there were moments like these when Neuvillette couldn't help but feel swept away by a wave of nostalgia. It was as if the water itself was reaching out to him, whispering memories of days gone by.
As if you had come to visit him every now and then.
He closed his eyes for a moment, allowing himself to fully embrace the tranquility of the scene before him. The rhythmic swish of the waves, the soft caress of the sea breeze on his skin – it all felt like a familiar embrace. Exhaling slowly, Neuvillette savored this fleeting sense of peace, letting go of the weight of his responsibilities for just a moment longer…
However, the role of Iudex remained. With a reluctant sigh, he opened his eyes and gazed out to the horizon. It was time to step back from the shore, to leave behind this moment of solace and return to the duties that awaited him.
A man of few words – Neuvillette carried the memory of you deep within his heart, a cherished treasure that he held onto tightly. As he made his way back, the gentle lull of the waves behind him seemed to bid him farewell. No matter how busy his days became, your presence would always linger in the depths of his soul.

Summary: With [Name] trapped in the Red Keep, Rhaenyra comes to her rescue—or is it the other way around?
Warnings: Major character death, violence, blood, manslaughter, kidnapping? HEAVY angst, marriage, wounded by sword, ooc Aemond? That's it, just a lot of angst.
Author's Note: I have NOT read any of George's books so I have no idea how the story of Fire & Blood ends, so forgive me because I know none of this happens AT ALL in the book. 💀 Also, I have an alternative ending in the making!

What anyone fails to realize is that during war, sacrifices must be made. In this instance, Aemond had sacrificed his woman for revenge against the one boy who ruined him. Now, as she climbs the jagged rocks that led to the entrance of Storm's End, ignoring his attempts at talking it through, he realized that sacrifices cannot be taken lightly—or taken back. The half-sighted princess pulled herself to the top of the cliff, not wasting time to sit upright and brush sand off of her clothes.
Aemond the Kinslayer trailed behind the woman that held his heart as she stomped her boots against the stone road until they came upon Vhagar, nesting in the tall grass. The green goliath recognized the prince, her rider, and the princess whom she almost devoured. The Targaryens of royal descent hopped onto the back of Vhagar, Aemond pulling her reigns and flying them to the Red Keep. As much as the princess wanted to go home to her mother, she knew the death of Lucerys would ruin her.
The kinslaying prince landed his colossal dragon outside of the Dragonpit, climbing off first then offering his hand to his wife-to-be. The woman ignored his act of decency and climbed down on her own, walking passed the one-eyed man into the usurper's home. Guards placed their lances in an 'X' in front of the princess until Aemond turned the corner, then they let her pass. Her expression remained blank throughout this trek, passing by servants, handmaidens, members of the kingsguard and even the Queen herself.
Aemond continued to follow her even up to her own chambers until she slammed the great wooden doors on his face, pushing a lounging sofa in front of it to keep him out. The prince leaned his head against the door and sighed, gripping at the hilt of his dagger before turning sharply and retracing his steps. When Alicent spotted her son returning from the hall that held [Name]'s chambers, she grabbed his forearm, her brow arched and her lips pursed. Aemond stared aloofly at his mother before she pulled him into an unoccupied room.
"Why is she here? Did she come alone? Where's Rhaenyra, did she come too?" Alicent bombarded her son with questions, spitting them out faster than a Targaryen could train a dragon. Aemond hadn't taken his eyes off the room's floor, his mind lost in thought about the last few hours. How is he supposed to tell his mother he lost control of Vhagar and murdered his nephew? She would be disappointed—if not furious—at him and would never let him leave the castle unattended like he was six again.
"Mother," Alicent spoke over her son, asking question after question and ranting with anxiety. "Mother!" The Queen stopped mid-question and stared at her son with eyes like saucers. "Enough. Lucerys is dead, as is his dragon. I lost control of Vhagar and she ate Llanerion. That's why she's here and she-" Aemond paused, caressing the holster for his sword. "She's angry with me. For killing her brother." Alicent nodded, one arm crossed over her chest and a hand covering her mouth as her eyes flicker across the floor. The Queen sighs and takes her son's head in her hands.
"Keep this to yourself, if anyone were to find out you lost control of a dragon then they'd think Targaryens were not meant to have them. And you are." Alicent kissed her son's forehead. "Don't let her leave this place," Alicent referred to the princess. "If Rhaenyra finds out, it will be on her own." The Queen parted with those final words, looking back at her son solemnly before leaving the room. Aemond stood unmoving, staring at the door where his mother formerly stood.

𝕿𝖍𝖗𝖊𝖊 𝖉𝖆𝖞𝖘 𝖕𝖆𝖘𝖙...
As the crowned Queen, Rhaenyra, planned their attack for the future, Daemon was pulled aside by a messenger. The man with the news whispered into the Rogue Prince's ear, informing him of Lucerys' death and the missing princess. Daemon waved off the man and let his head fall limply against the stone wall, winding his arm back and fisting the wall with a scream of fury and agony. Daemon did not dislike Lucerys, he was truly like a son to him, but [Name] was his legitimate daughter, his blood. His outburst attracted the attention of those in the other room surrounding the painted table.
Daemon—bloody fist and all—walked around the table that shed a glow of orange, mapping out the realm. He pulled his Queen over to the fireplace and leaned in, his chest still rising vigorously. When Daemon told Rhaenyra the news, she could feel her heart pounding in her own ears, she saw through her eyes with a red lens and she breathed through her nose maddeningly. The Queen turned to the guests at the table, knocking the pieces on the floor with a pained scream. Jacaerys stared at his mother, using his intelligence to decipher what made his mother so angry.
"Mother? Where's Lucerys? What about [Name], where is she? Mother, where's my sister!" Jace slammed his fist against the wooden table, tears threatening to fall as he struggled to keep them in. Rhaenyra ignored her son's outburst and stormed out of the room and outside, where Syrax nested. To see his wife ride on dragon-back with murderous intent would normally make Daemon grin with glee, but his daughter has vanished and he does not know if she's lying around in a corpses body.
The guests ran out of Dragonstone, following their Queen's order to ride on dragon and intrude the barrier of the Red Keep. Rhaenyra was clouded by bloodlust, her mind spinning at a dangerous pace. Her ears clogged with the blaring sound of the wind and the voices in her head saying to burn everything down; to kill them all. Daemon rides beside his Queen, his wife, and the mother of his children, his mind in the same headspace except the madness was slowly slipping out of control.
In the Red Keep, [Name] sat beside her windowsill like the morning of her mother's miscarriage. She's kept herself in her chamber since she was brought back to King's Landing. When the handmaids brought food and water, she ignored them. When the Queen asked for her presence and sent a guard, she ignored them. When Aemond knocked on her door and asked to talk, she ignored him. But when she saw a flock of dragons headed towards King's Landing she didn't ignore it. She pushed the lounger out of the way and ran through the halls, making it to the courtyard before she was grabbed and pulled back.
Ser Criston caged her in his arms with a hand over her mouth and dragged her to the Dragonpit. The Queen awaited her, along with three of her children; Halaena, Aegon, and Aemond. Alicent signaled to Ser Criston to release the princess, whom when was free turned sharply and punched the knight in his nose. She shook her hand, trying to alleviate the pain then turned back to the four that stood in front of her.
"I apologize, Princess, but I must have you stay here. Your presence on the battlefield would only cause more tension between the families, and possibly more bloodshed." Alicent held her by her shoulders, looking at her scarred eye and running a thumb across it. "When this battle has been won, no matter who ends up on top, we will allow you freedom, but until then you must stay hidden. Not as a hostage but as someone who must be protected." Alicent looked to her youngest son and nodded, Aemond placing iron cuffs on his betrothed whom didn't even put up a fight.
Aemond walked his wife-to-be to Balerion's skull and sat her down, allowing her what little rest she could get. The princess leaned against the shrine, her head resting against the pale bricks as she closed her eyes. Aemond paced back and forth in front of her, contemplating if he should say something. Anything to get her to talk to him. The prince ceased his pacing and glided over to the princess in chains. He kneeled before her and grabbed hold of the chain link that bound her wrists.
"Hear me, my dear, for I'm choosing to commit treason for you." Aemond whispered to her, keying the locks on the cuffs. When the heavy metal fell from her wrists, Aemond rubbed his thumbs over them, kissing the reddening skin. "When you leave, don't come back for me. Stay away from King's Landing until your last days. Do not yearn for me." Aemond kissed her lips, softly but sensually, and caressed her cheek before pushing her back toward the door, telling her to run from him, to run to her family.
The princess cried for her lover, their interlocked hands lingering at the fingertips when she pulls away. Tears streaming down her cheeks before she runs to the surface of the Dragonpit and to the castle where her mother awaits her. When the princess arrives, the battle has already begun. A brigade is stood in front of the castle gate to keep anyone without a dragon from escaping or intruding from the outside.
"Rhaenyra! Enough with this- this madness! You're being ridiculous!" Alicent hid behind Ser Criston whom shielded her from Rhaenyra's threatening hands and her husband's murderous stare. "Don't you realize how unreasonable you're being? Aemond meant no harm! It was supposed to be all in good fun! Please, Rhaenyra, call off your dragons!" The Queen Regent, Alicent begged the Queen Rhaenyra, pleading with her.
"You killed my son! You took my daughter and imprisoned her! I should take one of yours, to make it fair." Syrax spread her wings, giving the allusion that they were binded to the back of Rhaenyra. Alicent ordered her guards to protect Aegon, still hiding behind Ser Criston, while trying to negotiate with the Mad Queen. Syrax hobbled closer to Rhaenyra, hovering just above her, waiting for her to to give the order.
"Fair? Was it fair when your son took Aemond's eye and didn't lose one in return? You talk about fairness yet you slither your way out of the consequences!" Alicent fumed. Rhaenyra was about to give the order when her eyes took notice of the blind one staring back at her, fear laced in the woman's expression. Distracted by her daughter's presence, Rhaenyra did not see Aegon unsheathe his sword, charging toward her. Out of instinct and last minute decisions, [Name] ran to her mother, shielding her from the whetted blade pointed at her.
Aemond ran through door and hall to get to the courtyard, his hand gripping the hilt of his sword, readying himself to pierce any man in his way. When the one-eyed prince made his entrance, his face fell at the vision of his brother's sword pierced into the back of his lover, whom was gripping at her mother's shoulders trying to keep herself upright. Aemond froze in his stance, his eye of violet narrowing in on the body of his betrothed. Mahogany seeped through the cloth she wore, soaking it from the waist, up.
Aegon the Second dropped his sword to the dust, backing up little by little until Aemond pushed through the bodies that crowded in front of the princess. Rhaenyra dropped to her knees with the body of her child, trembling hands pushing strands of platinum hair from her face. Droplets of tears splattered against her face, looking up to see her mother's sore eyes. The princess smiled weakly at her mother, wrapping both arms around her mother's neck to pull her close, wanting to feel the maternal warmth only Rhaenyra could give her.
"Forgive me, Mother. I should've protected Lucerys, but protecting you was the least I could do..." Her hushed voice whispered to her mother whom held her daughter tightly, lips involuntarily quivering. Daemon watched from the back of Caraxes as his daughter lay, dying, in her mother's arms. His stare blank, but his heart breaking. Resting limply once more, the princess turned to look at Aemond, as did the rest of the company standing in the courtyard. She held her hand out to him, disregarding the sharp glare of swords her mother gave him.
"Aemond, my darling, I want to get married. Right here, right now." Aemond closed his seeing eye, shaking his head and bringing his trembling hands to wrap around her body, stealing her from the arms of Rhaenyra. The one-eyed prince carried her back into the castle to stand before the Iron Throne, calling for a maester to wed them. As the two said their vows, their family spectating behind them, they sealed their marriage with a kiss. It was full of longing, tasting of death and life, a perfect balance.
When the prince pulled away, he expected to see her smiling lips, her eyes open with glee, but instead they were dull. Lifeless. Aemond held her against his chest and carried her once more to the Silent Sisters, asking them to wrap her with golden ribbons, only fit for a woman of her heroics. The Silent Sisters brought out the mummified princess, the Targaryen and Hightower family gathering upon the hill that sat behind King's Landing, looking over the raging sea. Rhaenys, Corlys and their granddaughters, Baela and Rhaena gave their respects, Rhaenys bowing to the only person she truly had faith in.
Alicent and Halaena next, Aegon standing behind them, too ashamed to pay his respects directly but doing so internally. Daemon, Rhaenyra and Jacaerys clustered close, all three placing a hand on the wrappings of their daughter and sister. And lastly, Aemond, who had yet to shed his tears, waiting until he's alone to let his resolve break and his vulnerability to show. The prince did the honors of sending the Targaryen princess to the gods. Uttering "Dracarys" to Vhagar who bellowed sorrowfully before sending her flame to the princess' corpse.
It was during this moment, when the Targaryens and Hightowers were occupied with the ceremony of [Name]'s passing, did she ever feel truly at peace. Her marriage to Aemond still validated by her heart—and his—and how it took her death to finally bring the families together, even if just for a night. Where the Queens really looked at each other, saw each other. Where brothers and sister were truly siblings, where uncles and nephews and nieces got along. Where two families were at the beginning of their reconciliation, their path to becoming one.

The Taming of Man: chapter Twelve - Dragon Shifting!Katsuki Bakugou x F!reader
I'd say that this took wayyy longer than it should, but I hope it tides you over before the plot continues a little more!
Words: 2,353
This is incredibly based on the song The Willow Maid by Erutan, I highly recommend giving it a listen for the best experience.
Warnings: Cursing, reader is She/Her and will be AFAB in later chapters
Tumblr media
Katsuki isn't a crier. He cried a lot as a kid, but that was because his feelings were too big for his body. Now, He's all grown up, and he doesn't cry anymore...that's what he told himself. He told himself that every day after you left, he tried his best not to, and yet his tears managed to spill by droplet out of his eyes every night, until he gave up and let them come as they are. To be fair, he never had a lot of tears in terms of quantity, but to him even one tear was too many.
This night, the night you collapsed into his arms just as he was devising a plan to go after you, he let himself cry with no inhibitions. As said previously, he didn't have many tears, but each one was so packed with emotion just as he was, that they were worth ten thousand tears. He just gently pulled you down to the ground with him, sitting on the floor as you both cried. Your side was pressed to his torso as you curled into his lap, head on his chest, his arms holding you as if you might leave him forever again.
To him, you left because he wasn't good enough. Ergo, from now on he'll do better. He saw this as a "three strikes your out" sort of situation. Was it right? no. Healthy? Hell no. That said, In a society like his where you had to earn your status through hard work, it was the only logical explanation.
"Katsuki...?"
Your crying had ended, as his did, but now he was just staring at the floor, lost in thought. As soon as you spoke, he perked up, his brows furrowing in something that can only be described as determination.
"Yeah," he asked gruffly, his tired tone not matching his apparent energy.
"I...I'm sorry," you whispered sheepishly, like a child apologizing after being yelled at.
He blinked a couple times, stunned. "For what...?"
he was so wrapped up in what he could have done that he didn't even think about how wrong you were. He did at the beginning, but then when there was nothing left to nitpick there, he began to pick himself apart, and he hasn't quite stopped yet.
You blinked up at him, cocking your head to the side a little. "Uh, well," you started, tittering a little at how absurd this felt. what did he mean, for what? What you did was all you could think about.
"I didn't tell you soon enough, because I was being selfish...I didn't fight against my mother, because I was being cowardly...in fact, I barely fought against her this time..."
Katsuki looked down at you, his hand on your cheek as he mindlessly wiped away your tears. Truth be told, he was hardly listening, you did almost nothing wrong in his mind anyways, all he could think about what how even with puffy red eyes and a snotty nose, you still looked so gorgeous. So beautifully his.
"Well...how'd you get out, anyway," he mumbled softly, all the while memorizing the way those little flecks in your irises danced when the light hit it just right. He got too close to forgetting some of your features last time, and while he'd rather not be in a situation where he'd go without seeing you for a week, he'd also rather not forget a damn thing if the situation arose again.
You laughed dryly, sighing. "That's kind of a long story."
"I've got time."
"How much time?"
"...Enough." For you? All the time. He'd go and steal time itself just to bathe you in it, if you so desired. He'd light time ablaze and watch as it burn if you so much as mentioned disliking it in passing.
You smiled at him, pulling off of his lap so you could sit up in front of him. He kept his hand resting idly on your wrist, his usual vaguely annoyed expression stagnant on his face. You've learned it's just his resting face, the neutral state of his sharp yet somewhat boyish features.
"Mm...I'll start with the night we, uh..."
"Broke up?"
"...yeah."
You told him everything, every detail. He deserved to know after what you put him through. as you did so, you switched positions several times, eventually ending on him laying down as you laid atop him, your head on the left side of his chest, your right hand playing with his hair as your left hand was concealed in his strong, calloused grasp. Meanwhile, his other hand was holding you by your right arm, his own arm bracing your back. Why you were laying on the floor was unclear, perhaps because neither of you had the energy to stand just yet.
As you talked in soft whispers, you allowed your mouth to move on its own, focusing instead on simply sensing Katsuki.
His breathing, slow and heavy, rustling your hair in an almost imperceptible way. His muscled body hardly moving, only slightly shifting to squeeze you every once in while. His scent, permeating through the entire room, of musk and spices and leather. His heartbeat, pounding just slightly harder as your finger gently grazed the extremely light stubble that trailed his jaw.
His face. Oh, that face.
The way his nose gently sloped upward to form a point, not a single interruption in it's shape, or how his brows arched in a way that gave him a peeved expression constantly...and his eyes, how could you forget his eyes?
Long, straight lashes that fluttered every time you said something stupid, with those vermillion irises that only became more and more intricate the closer you looked. Sparks of tiger orange and gold were interlaced in the red base, blooming out of the center like a flower with infinite petals. There were even dark shades of greenish brown near the rim, albeit extremely sparse.
Then, there's his lips, so perfectly plump and slightly chapped, a little pink near the center, giving them that rough sensation that pleased you so much the few times you've kissed him...you should do that more...
"Hey," Katsuki said suddenly, grabbing your attention.
"huh," you said, snapping out of your trance. "Did I finish...?"
Katsuki let out a snort, sitting up and pushing you with him. You could hear his bones creak, you must've been laying like that for a while. "You're tired. It's late," he sighed, the tiniest smile of amusement on his face, in his eyes.
You remove yourself from him, although you're still close enough to touch him with your legs, and you both stretch. "I suppose you're right...where will I sleep?" You knew it'd be far fetched to sleep in his room, you were a lady after all.
Ladies, at least in your country, were expected to go no where with a man unless chaperoned. That's part of what made your time with Katsuki so exciting, you had no one to chaperone the two of you. Surely the cultures weren't that drastically different, after all the royal structures seemed somewhat similar...
"Oh, Uh..." Katsuki turned red, something that confused you.
"What is it," you asked, hoping you didn't somehow hit a nerve.
"Nothin'...I'll have someone get a guest room ready," he said, stiffening a little. "C'mon, might as well tell mom while we're up," he sighed, standing and putting his hand out for you. You gladly took the help, getting to your feet...you hadn't realized how achy your legs were, all that running took a toll.
"Won't she be asleep? I don't want to bother her," you said softly, following him out of his bedroom and through the vestibule. You never really noticed before, too nervous, but he truly had lovely chambers. It had a reoccurring theme of deep red, gold, and dark oak, creating a warm and rich feeling to the area, just like him.
"Nah, it's not that late," he shrugs, leading you along by your hand, as he always does. To think you almost gave this up.
Naturally, you felt completely lost as the two of you walked, it felt as if he was guiding you through a maze made of volcanic rock, the apparent material of the castle walls. You both stopped as a servant came your way, and Katsuki asked him to get his mother to go to the drawing room. They nodded, and the two of you turned down a different hall.
"This place is big," you mused, holding onto his arm as you glanced around, the only light being the ever glowing torches.
"It's a castle, no shit," he scoffed, smiling wryly.
"Yeah yeah," you sighed, tittering. You missed his teasing while you were gone.
Eventually, you reached what was assumed to be the study, Mitsuki already there. She immediately rushed to the two of you, bringing you both into a hug despite Katsuki's squirming. "Oh, I'm so happy to see you're back together," she sighed, pulling away. "Y'know Katsuki was such an asshole while you were gone, in such a bad mood-"
"Shut up!" Katsuki scowled, trying to be domineering despite his hand sweetly in yours. "She needs a place to stay," he continued, grumbling his words out of some form of embarrassment.
"What are you talking about," Mitsuki asks confusedly, cocking her head as she looks between you and Katsuki.
"W-well, maybe I could stay in a guest room, if it isn't too much trouble..." you say reassuringly. You hoped she didn't think the two of you would be up to anything unsavory, and really you'd like to stay in the castle.
"A guest room?" Mitsuki gave Katsuki an angry glare, her tail pulling a little closer to her body. "You were gonna let her stay in a guest room? How do you expect to see if you're compatible without sleeping together?"
"She wansta!"
What was happening? You wanted some sort of explanation.
"Do you?" Mitsuki's tone softened, not yelling at you like how she tended to with Katsuki.
"Uh..." Did you? It's what you expected, so much so you never considered what it'd be like sleeping next to him. It was so intimate, so comfortable sounding. you blushed, smiling sheepishly, how were you supposed to answer?
"I take that as a no, it's settled, the two of you will sleep together," Mitsuki announced, watching as you let out a breath of relief.
Despite losing the argument, Katsuki let out a passive "Fine" as he pulled you away again. "Sleep well," Mistuki called out, laughing a little.
"So...she said something about compatibility," you ask curiously, watching Katsuki's face for expression. He glanced to you, slightly confused about your interest. "Ah, 's just a dragon thing," he says, brushing it off.
"I still wanna know," you press, eyes never leaving him.
"Well...they say that since part of bein' mates is sharing a space, you gotta sleep together before you mate so that you know it'll work."
"Hm...cool," you say softly, smiling as you look down again. Why wasn't that how it is in your homeland? That made a lot more sense.
"So, what exactly is mating again?" You know the definition of the verb in a clinical, animalistic sense, but surely that wasn't it.
"I already told you, it's like marriage," he said firmly, annoyed.
"Yeah, but that isn't all it is," you said, encouraging him to explain.
He huffed, rolling his eyes at you before continuing. "Basically, you and your partner go through some big celebration, like a wedding, and then you go and screw," he said halfheartedly, watching your face for a reaction.
"Oh," you say softly, a little embarrassed now. "Well, It sounds fun," you giggle, quickly recovering.
By now, the two of you made it back to his chambers, your feet feeling practically unusable after all the moving. Even with this, you stood nervously in the middle of his bedroom.
"What," Katsuki asks tiredly, sitting down on his bed.
"Well, first of all, I need to change..." you gestured down to yourself, your red dress rather dirty. "Second of all...Isn't it a little awkward? Just...sleeping next to each other?"
Katsuki sighs, laying back in bed and putting his hands behind his head. "First of all, you can just wear somethin' from my dresser, and second of all, it's not awkward unless you make it."
You sighed, shaking your head with a smile at Katsuki's current blasé attitude. You walked over to his dresser, nervously sifting through clothing before pulling out a long nightshirt and pants. "Where do I change?"
Katsuki sat up, his lips pressing together for a moment. He was so enticed to say right here, but he knew that wasn't something you or even he would be comfortable with. "There's a bathroom, first door to the right," he said, pointing to the bedroom door. You nod, walking out and taking his directions. The bathroom was really no different from your own, although it did have that signature dark, red and gold color scheme.
By the time you walked back into Katsuki's room, he was already settled down, although he gets out of bed when he hears the door, like he was waiting for you.
"So...how do we go about this," you ask, looking down at the bed like it held some sort of ominous power.
"What do you mean? It's a bed, you sleep in it," he scoffs, crossing his arms.
"I know, but like, how do we lay?"
He sighs, rubbing his face. "Just...you lay down first..." he orders, looking over at you.
Stiffly, you get into the bed, laying on the side that Katsuki wasn't just on and facing the edge. While you get in, he goes around and blows out the candles. Then, he gets in next to you, his back to yours. This way, you could lay together without getting too close just yet.
Yes, you've cuddled before, but that was in a moment of emotional release, and on the floor. This felt more...domestic. More serious.
As of now, this worked for you two.
"Goodnight, Katsuki," you say softly.
"...Goodnight. Idiot."

Beerus x M. God of Life Reader pt. 2
Tumblr media
And here I am. Making a part 2. I kinda lost my flow but wanted to continue xD
Leh goooo!
Want more from me? Masterlist, baby
☆*: .。. .。.:*☆☆*: .。. .。.:*☆
🥢Chaos & Love🥢 (DBS or Dragon ball Super)
Warning(s): Fluffy as a pillow, Mxm (but duh bc the title), I DID not edit 😭😭
You just want to be with Beerus in peace, why must these earthlings bother your peace yet again?
✨✨✨✨✨✨✨
It's a little ironic that you're the God of Life, but never found domestic behavior something you wanted to experience.
Well, until you met him.
The God of Destruction.
Something else ironic that you never thought you'd like.
Just this morning, you woke up to another body draped over yours.
It still takes a little getting used to after centuries of being alone, too busy to have an actual relationship.
And when you tried to get up to make a stop at your house, those arms weren't letting you go anywhere.
"Beerus. I need to go to my realm-" "-No. You're warm," he muttered in his sleep. You didn't want to be rude and make him cold with your absence...wow, he's making you too soft.
Not that you really cared.
You simply made a compromise. You took him with you.
His legs were wrapped around your hips, chin tucked into your shoulder, arms wrapped tightly around you as you navigated through your house. Grabbing what you needed with one hand.
"My clingy little baby," you mutter after a while, smiling to yourself. "Shut up."
He couldn't help that you were so warm and comfy.
"Hey [Name], can you grab my shirt?" Beerus half-heartedly mumbled, lazily pointing in a direction. "That's my shirt." "Same difference, I wear it more than you do anymore. Grab it, please. I want it," he whined with grabby hands.
At some point, he finally decides to wake up...
...only to hug your waist as you make lunch
You don't question his clingy-ness, usually, when you leave for your job for a while, he's extra clingy when you come back.
But you jump when his stationary hands begin to move.
"Beerus! D-don't do that when I have a knife in my hand."
"Lose it, then," he purrs.
Later that day, after those activities and lunch, Whis approaches you both in the woods.
You hardly looked over from Beerus's lap and he didn't bother to open his eyes from their relaxed state.
"Yes, Whis?"
"It seems Bulma has invited us to try Earth delicacies again. Would you like to accept her invitation?"
"Depends on what it is."
It was a good enough offer for Beerus to go.
Well, that, and you mentioned a curiosity about Earth food.
Beerus told you about it the whole way, quite pleased to feel like an expert.
Although the meeting was a little awkward.
Upon arriving, Beerus and Whis went ahead.
And when you caught up with them, you met eyes with Goku first.
Considering the last time you met, you weren't surprised he was suddenly tense.
Which made his other friends tense, one even rose their power level a bit.
Which made you laugh, loudly, "How adorable."
"L-Lord [Name]!"
You titled your head at the Saiyan a little shorter than him, "Ah, you know my commonly known title, young Saiyan?"
"Lord Beerus, look behind you!"
"You idiots, he's not a threat. He's with me!"
"I will not hurt you, earthlings, not unless you give me a reason to—Now, where is this pudding, Beerus spoke of?"
You tried a few dishes of Earth, though your speed of eating was much slower than the other non-humans. You preferred to savor your food.
And because Beerus kept feeding you some of his food.
"Here, try this, [Name]," he offered a...something.
"Sweetheart, let me try one thing at a time, okay?" but because you were whipped, you opened your mouth to try it.
"'Sweetheart'? Lord Beerus, I didn't know were with someone," Bulma hummed as she brought more food.
"Why do you sound like you're in such disbelief?!" Beerus growled.
"Wait-you both are together?"
"Goku, who asked you to snoop into our conversation?" Bulma barked across the room.
And after that...all hell broke loose.
"How did you guys...?" "When did you guys...?"
Beerus just yawned.
"I don't see Beerus being the date type."
"What even is a date?" He asked you. A shrug.
Cue the gasps from the ones who cared And now they were planning a date, great.
While they were busy planning some date, Beerus dozed off of you while you read a book.
It was peaceful until voices started to rise.
"You can't just ask the God of Life to spar with you, Kakarot!"
"But you said he's more powerful than Lord Beerus! I want to see that power for myself!" he whined.
"All you men want to do is fight!"
"But it'd be so cool!"
Your gaze flickered down when Beerus shifted, then up to the group ahead of you.
"Hey."
Their heads snapped over to you, the calmest voice of all, yet the most intimidating.
"Beerus is taking a nap. Stop all that yelling for no reason. If you wake him up I'm going to be pissed. And you don't want that. Even Beerus couldn't stop me if that happened."
"Someone's protective," Whis teased behind a hand.
"S-shut up," you scoffed, focusing on your book again.
Until you heard the words.
"We set up a date for you, two..."

Sorry, but I Think I Lost Your Plot pt 19
Pairing: Onesided!Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III x Modern!Fem!Reader
Words: 4,160
The ‘fine’ part of ‘Things end up fine, anyways.’
Tags: Time Travel, Reader into Movieverse, Dragons: Defenders of Berk, Race To Fireworm Island, unedited, part two, half-fill
<Previous - Next>
You stared out at the sea from where you sat next to Hiccup on your own pentagonal slab of rock, your legs crossed, hands in your lap as you stared outwards.
The last you checked, Hiccup was sitting loosely with his elbows hooked over his knees, boot and prosthetic pressed flat against the floor.
It was still somewhat still, though the wind began to pick up slightly, causing small, cold waves to ripple and crash across its surface.
The hairs on the back of your neck prickled as it did, and the silence between you and Hiccup was rife with an odd feeling which you tracked back to some of the just-barely dry underbrush, making you feel as if, oddly, you were being-
The only other sound was the one made by a grumbling stomach, which at first you nearly mistook for your own, glancing down and then at Hiccup.
He laughed awkwardly, “Yeah, ah-ha, I haven’t eaten since-”
You’d only been there for a few moments but the silence was starting to get weird and uncomfortable.
Hiccup opened his mouth to speak again, though he was beaten, your own stomach gurgling in response.
“I’ve been, well, I’ve been a bit starved too,” You scuffed your feet against the stone beneath your feet and flushed as you also laughed, before speaking, staring of into the side where cliffs melted back into forest, “You know, I have just the thing.”
Carefully, you unclipped the wrapped cloth sack from around your waist, where it was hanging against your belt, You pulled out your lunch.
A smaller pouch nearly fell off as you did, a small brown thing which you vaguely recognized as having a bit of salt inside.
You weren’t going to use it- You’d already flavored some of the meat earlier after you spent the coin and bought it from the town square.
In any other circumstance, you might have been practically drooling, but this was a serious matter.
And… You could always sacrifice a bit of sandwich for a Hiccup in need. The power of a good sandwich did wonders.
You waved it at him, before noticing the look he had on his face, something stuck between curiosity and satisfaction, before explaining, “I eat at the hall usually, but sometimes I make myself lunch. Afternoon meal.”
No one else really ate lunch on Berk. Turns out that was a modern thing.
You stared down at it, made up of old bread from the Inegrman’s, carrot slices, mustard seeds, cabbage and some mystery meat you’d procured from the market.
It wasn’t much and the meat bits still tasted a bit like whey, but after you’d spent the longest time lunchless, eating the most bland food ever, it felt like heaven.
It made a world of difference.
You pressed into the center with just some cloth separating your nails from the bread as you ripped the sandwich in half.
You pulled the cloth off after and passed one half over to Hiccup, who took it surely.
“Okay- Alright,” Hiccup said inhaling.
He bit into it somewhat apprehensively, and you found it within yourself to be slightly judgemental of his judgment.
“This is good,” Hiccup said, after a moment of chewing, swallowing his first bite.
“Salt,” You managed through another mouthful of sandwich, which you thought spoke volumes.
It didn’t speak of all the volumes, but it spoke plenty.
“Oh,” Hiccup said, grimacing, looking up and focusing off into the distance in a way that told you he wasn’t thinking about your sandwich. Probably wondering why food on Berk was so bad.
He bit into it with a bit more enthusiasm than you’d expected, though not the messy kind you were witness to in the Great Hall from the much older, burlier Vikings.
You wanted to ask if he wanted any more through a mouthful of sandwich. Instead, you focused on chewing.
You vaguely notice the sound of scrambling claws against stone, something you’d gotten used to during your time on Berk.
“Hiccup,” You said, pausing, bringing down the hand holding your makeshift lunch as a small, glowy, orange little figure scurried forwards.
It was a Fireworm, and it had wandered right up to your feet.
“I know,” He responded, sounding definitely happy, “I see it. But-”
Hiccup shook his head, grimacing, before explaining, “Ah, Gods, I left the pliers on Toothless saddle. I can-we can’t pick them up. They’re too hot.”
You glanced at him and saw what was definitely a thinking face on his face, if you’d ever seen one.
The little Fireworm before you did the best it could to stand on its hind legs, its front arms repeatedly falling back onto gray stone, the many  arms in between wiggling as they met air, making an odd sizzling chittering noise all the while.
Its large throat shifted as it spoke, a lot like a frog, small, beady, pupil-less eyes blinking in a way that was uncomfortable but oddly cute?
“Fireworms, they’re-” Hiccup paused, watching the dragon intently, “They’re scavengers. So, this one-”
“It wants a piece of my sandwich?” You asked, waving your finger above the little guy as he danced.
You looked down at your own sandwich, before bringing your hand back to break off a piece of bread for the little guy. It was like feeding Terrors, except you were pretty sure bread would give them indigestion.
You had to shift back slightly, holding the piece of bread in a pinch and scooting back as the little fireworm curled and bowed and tried to crawl closer, eager for the meager little piece of bread.
Before you could drop the piece, you paused, holding it in the air, looking towards Hiccup, “I- Would it-he? Be alright if I-”
Then you paused again.
It seemed Hiccup was busy with his own corral of dragons as a few more Fireworms peeked up and around the geometric slabs of rock, looking at Hiccup like an eager flock of chickens or a bunch of extra mini lizards.
He looked at you, his legs crossed too, sitting carefully as the Fireworms came to sniff at his legs and nose around the area he held his sandwich, limp in his arms with both hands, “It should be fine. They- even if he didn't like it, the worst it would give him is a stomachache. Besides, I don’t think they’re eating any of the sandwich. Not yet.”
“Really?” As you looked back, you noticed a few more surrounding you, one particularly large Fireworm crawling over a flat ridge, nearly emotionless, still face staring intently at you.
You startled, yelping and turning your attention back to your hands as the first Fireworm fell back, having jumped at your fingers, grabbing for the bread pinch in your fingertips and missing, burning your pointer finger and causing it to loosed slightly before reflexively jerking together.
The first little dragon seemed a bit frustrated in a sort of sad way, as he wriggled on the ground and righted himself, put out as more Fireworms began to gather, smaller and more emotive than the rest, which you noticed with a sort of optimistic chagrin.
You glanced towards Hiccup as he frowned slightly at all the dragons beginning to surround the two of you, slowly beginning to stand up then back at your little fireworm, who was now surrounded by a bunch of larger small ones.
He was the first to make a move and yet he hadn’t gotten a piece. So the littlest one was the first one to make a choice. To approach both you and Hiccup and feel the two of you out and then, to make the big, crazy, going-to-walk-up-to-the-people decision.
You smiled a little, brighter than ever.
It reminded you of someone.
You made sure to rip off another, bigger piece of bread, handing it over to him as an apology, quickly and directly, chest lighter as he began to clumsily scurry away, with enthusiasm, “Sorry for the wait.”
Then you blinked. You noticed vaguely that Hiccup did the same, laughing nervously and tossing dragons a few small pieces of your sandwich.
The two of you were surrounded by Fireworms, begging like blank-faced small, furry creatures in a pet shop window.
You got up, backing slowly away, edging as much backwards as you could as the little dragons converged on you. You weren’t sure exactly where you were headed but you knew you should probably not be there.
You could feel the heat of the fireworms as they got closer, burning brightly, getting more intense as each new Fireworm joined their ranks.
You had no idea how they could mess around the foliage and not set everything on fire.
You backed up until your shoulders hit something furry, causing you to nearly start.
It was Hiccup’s coat.
You jerked to the side, pulling your eyes away from the fireworms, realizing that you and Hiccup had backed into each other.
Hiccup did the same, before looking down at the Fireworms with both wonder and mild apprehension, “They’re… glowing. Brighter, I mean.”
“Do you think this’ll be enough for Hookfang?” You asked, resisting the urge to laugh nervously. You two were closer to the treeline now, at the edge of an area which you thought might be too damp for them to be comfortable.
You grabbed down for something without looking, your back nearly to the trees, fireworms still scrambling around.
It was with glee that you let go of the last piece of your sandwich to a little Fireworm that had attached itself to your boot.
Another scrambled across the mostly empty floor, tiny claws scratching against grass and stone.
You picked at it with a stick, gently.
It stuck to the stick, clinging to it with one of many hands before falling off and skittering away.
You glanced up to where Hiccup was watching the little guy go with what looked like a lost expression on his face, “I wasn’t sure how we were going to get them all back, anyways…”
You considered trying to hold a Fireworm between your stick and another earlier, like you were using chopsticks, but when you’d had to replace your old one- it set on fire- you decided it was probably better to try and lead it by the sandwich.
You fell to the ground again, which was very, very clear besides a few lingerers, with a sigh of relief.
After the two of you showed your empty hands, it was like the group of them seemed to dissipate, quickly dissolving into the bushes.
“Where are they all going?” You asked curiously.
“I don’t know,” Hiccup responded under his breath, as the last little Fireworm, a particularly wiggly faithful guy, dancing sideways and undulating its body like a frond of pond weed, scuttled proudly away into the bushes with two whole pieces, both from you.
“Do you think we can follow…?” You asked, half mumbling, and very optimistic. The ‘them to more,’ remained unsaid.
The two of you looked at each other.
The Fireworm crawled quickly down the cliffs, both you and Hiccup scrambling to follow.
You waved your arms as you struggled to balance, Hiccup skidding and bending forward precariously as he leapt from one basalt column to another.
Hiccup had the lead earlier, but you soon overtook him as his prosthetic got stuck between two rocks, Hiccup ushering your forwards as you sprinted and he tugged his foot free.
His prosthetic made a noise, the sound of metal on rock and the grinding of the spring mechanism of his prosthetic every time it hit stone.
It was a few moments more before you reached mostly flat ground, again tiled by those now familiar geometric shapes,
You were running along a large ledge in the side of a cliff, and you did your best to keep up, coming to a stop as the Fireworm scuttled forwards.
You skidded to a stop, lungs burning and heart pounding, limbs sore, looking up and it disappeared into a huge cave, its entrance looking like a huge, wide crack in the cliff face.
“So, we follow it in?” You asked as the two of you stared down into the cave.
It had gotten pretty fast near the end, probably frightened by the two of you running full speed after it.
Hiccup skidded to a stop right beside you, panting and bending over slightly, chest moving as yours did.
You could still feel your heart pounding in your ears.
“Yeah, I… I guess so,” Hiccup said, slowly standing up straight, “I think this might be it.”
Fireworms were bright, right?
You should be able to spot it in the darkness of the cave. It couldn’t have gotten too far.
But, no. It was dark. Really, really dark. And as you stepped forwards into the darkness, the light behind you fading into nothing, it only got darker.
Your boots tapped against the stone, your only anchor being the sound of Hiccup’s prosthetic as it squeaked in the darkness and the vague idea of where he was, which you could only discern through his body heat and the occasional brush of his fur vest against your arm.
“Are we lost?” You asked, in barely a whisper.
You blinked, though you were hit by a feeling of unease as you were greeted by the sight of nearly nothing when you opened them. The open space around you, covered by complete darkness, only succeeded in making the cave feel cavernous and eerie.
As you walked, you wondered what Hiccup was thinking, his arm bumping into yours. You resisted the urge to grab onto his it, sticking close as lint.
It was much colder here than anywhere else, the hall, cavern, whatever else frigid and yet incredibly dry.
And as you went, slowly, steadily grew the sound of buzzing, an ominous, quiet, continuous yet high pitched mumble.
“I…” Hiccup started, then stopped.
You jerked back uneasily, not registering it until a moment later, halfway between a step forwards, shifting your weight backwards.
You noticed, just barely, that you could make out the end of the tunnel.
It was a considerable improvement from the moment before, where everything was washed over by an inky blackness.
There was a light at the end of the tunnel. Though, as you recalled the yellow light of the outside, you doubted your path would lead you to an exit.
Slowly, the two of you crept towards the light, and as you grew closer, it became clearer.
Your source of light was a long, thin crack in the rock. You could just make out a stone floor on the other side of it, but you couldn’t tell much else. It was just wide enough to fit a Fireworm comfortably and a teen you uncomfortably if you turned to the side.
You stood aimlessly in front of the crack in the wall, meeting eyes with Hiccup, whose green eyes became a muddied brown, washed over with orange light.
“So…” You began, feeling the beginnings of a pit of dread in your stomach.
You thought now would be the opportune time for a, ‘ladies first,’ and was pleasantly surprised when hiccup responded with something else.
“I’ll go first,” Hiccup nodded.
Hiccup scooted forwards, going first, sliding through a narrow space in the wall, where the light was brightest.
“Hiccup?” You called lightly.
“It’s-it’s safe,” He said. His voice was faint with a hint of what sounded like stun.
Apprehensively, you began to scoot in after him, wincing as your eyes adjusted to the sudden light, dim though it was.
When you saw what was inside, you couldn’t do anything but gasp and stumble forwards, coming to stand besides Hiccup a little further away in the cavern.
It was incredible.
It was like a giant beehive.
If the cave leading inwards felt cavernous, you weren’t sure what this was.
There must have been a million of them.
Tiny Fireworms crawled along the walls, moving up and down incredibly large honeycomb walls, glowing and flickering and buzzing.
You could spot a few, newly returned, sharing the fruits of their ‘hunt,’ dividing small sandwich bits into even tinier pieces.
Each comb came together to form a dizzying pattern.
The whole island underneath must have been carved out and reinforced, pasted together to make this.
There were parts of the cave that faded into gray stone and darkness; The entrance you crawled into must not and really could not have been the only one, and this could not have been the only cavern.
The corner of your eye was drawn to a movement in the hexes, a low, barely perceptible rumbling filling your ears.
She was curling around one of the many red-washed rocks jutting from the floor in the middle of the cavern.
A glowing orange and yellow dragon with the same large throat as the small Fireworms, radiating heat like a small sun, with eyes saturated to the reddest degree you had ever seen.
Hiccup exhaled, tilting his head to the side as his mouth quirked up at the corners, taking in the sights around you.
“Hiccup,” You tapped his arm, calling warningly.
You backed up slowly, matching steps with Hiccup yet again until you nearly hit a wall of comb.
One of your boots got caught on something for a moment and you glanced down and up again, the floor beneath you covered by a sticky, thick sheen of something. Was it honey?
You looked at Hiccup, who glanced to his side.
You were too far away to run away through the cave, your exit block and your space crowded by the large dragon.
“The Fireworm Queen?” Hiccup asked, still sounding sort of awed.
The large dragon got onto its hind legs, many clawed arms flexing and swaying surely in the air, in great contrast to her many children.
In the moment, all you could think about is if any of these Fireworms were ever larvae?
“Wait, hold on, I can-...” He trailed off like he had come to some sort of realization. Glancing at his face, eyes wide and mouth slightly open, you half expected him to shout, ‘Eureka!’
You breathed shakily, crouched slightly as you listened to the sound of skin shifting against fabric.
“Leftovers from paint making,” Hiccup shrugged his hand out of the wrappings around his waist, revealing a handful of slightly dull red-orange scales.
You saw them in your periphery, took in some details through a half-glance, though both of your eyes and Hiccups were still trained mostly on the Fireworm Queen, “I grabbed a few just before… Just before he started graying.”
The two of you laughed together in celebration, panting as your sprint brought you back onto the cliffs where you’d taken lunch and then had lunch taken.
It was easy to get back out with the glow of the honeycomb to guide you.
You were just glad that everything seemed to have worked out well.
You stopped, panting, beaming at him, and he beamed back, laughing into the wind as the sky got darker.
You calmed down, and you could see his focus change through his expression from, ‘we got the honeycomb,’ to 'how are we going to get this back?’
You glanced around, looking at the sea and the sun, just beginning to wash the world in pinks, spotting a few dots along the sky for what was the second time that day.
“Look-look!” You shouted joyfull, grabbing into his arm.
“Is that…?” Hiccup asked, as you cheered, the bright blue and yellow dot growing lighter until it was larger than the both of you.
You scramble back to make space, a healthy distance away, a bit farther than Hiccup, though not too far.
You were closer to the treeline than not as Stormfly landed, claws outstretched, ready to dig into the grooves along the cliff.
“I didn’t know Stormfly could track this far,” Astrid said from a distance, looking suspiciously down at her dragon.
“Astrid!” Hiccup had calmed down considerably by the time she landed, though he was alight with what you imagined to be another kind of joy, the same kind that lit your chest as your hope for Hookfang was restored, “I can’t- find Toothless. Can you-?”
You watched Hiccup’s furred, vested back as he and Astrid focused their attention on each other.
Astrid looked down on Hiccup from above, the wind, growing colder, blew in from behind her, causing her hair to wave wildly, albeit with a graceful quality you never saw outside of movies. It was a beautiful sight.
Stormfly below did her best to look back up at her rider, tongue flicking in her mouth, neck undulating as she began chirping deep in her throat.
“What-?” Astrid asked, looking incredulously down at Hiccup, “Where have you been all day? We’ve been searching for you! We don’t have time to-!”
“Astrid!” Hiccup said again’
“Again, what?”
You blinked watchfully. You were still riding off the high of getting the comb. You didn't have the mind to be concerned about the love interests not doing love interest things.
Hiccup held up his hand, where the still-glowing comb was carefully cradled, “Think you can get this back to Snotlout and Hookfang?”
Astrid’s eyes widened as she showed what you might’ve called a star on someone else startled on Stormfly’s saddle, as if she’d just noticed the comb there.
It was bright along one side and you worried for a moment that it would begin to drip and ooze. Would it be able to withstand the trip back to Berk unscathed?
She looked down at it sternly, before nodding, extending her hand downwards, “Give it to me.”
Before she could grab it, though, you stepped forwards.
“Wait-” You said, as Hiccup was mid hand-over. Quickly, you brought your hands back to your belt where you’d clipped the cloth you’d used to hold your lunch earlier.
Quickly, you shook out any remaining crumbs and you gestured for the honeycomb.
Astrid, it seemed, immediately got what you were going for, backing up on Stormfly, causing her dragon to stand at full height as you began to grab the honeycomb from Hiccup.
You held the cloth in your hands and carefully grabbed the free side comb, wrapping it up clumsily as it stood half-held by Hiccup, who then retracted his hand, and half supported by your other palm underneath.
Astrid eyes the two of you carefully as you did, eyes narrowing though not necessarily with any malice. A bit of suspicion, maybe.
“You want this back later?” Astrid asked, finally, after a moment of silence, as Hiccup carefully grabbed back the honeycomb and handed it up to her.
“It’s alright,” You said, before continuing matter-of-factly “I can probably come get it next time I go up to Hofferson House.”
She raised her brow, “Do either of you need a ride?”
Hiccup looked at you, as if asking for directions. To that, you shrugged.
“Stormfly will probably be faster without the extra weight,” he decided, to which you agreed privately. The need for speed was essential, “Is Hookfang…?”
“Not doing well,” Astrid nodded, “I’ll send someone back for you later.”
You could tell the moment she kicked Stormfly off, shifting her weight back and bending slightly forwards, moving her knees against Stormfly’s side in a way that caused her to bow again and crouch her legs.
She spread her wings wide, tail spikes flexing.
The few hardy, strong wingbeats of Stormfly blew back your tunic, sending sticks and leaves flying.
As Stormfly launched into the sky, you had to cover your face with your arms. Shaking yourself off once you stopped feeling the force of the wind on your chest.
As you settled, back straight, you watched them disappear into the skyline.
Hiccup, too, watch next to you, looking very satisfied.
You hoped the honeycomb reached Hookfang and Snotlout safely.
You noticed they had been out and about a lot recently.
Snotlout would definitely be happy to see it.
You hoped you didn’t stunt his character growth or something. You felt like it might have been a good learning experience for him, though maybe he’d learned enough already.
He seemed pretty distraught over Hookfang.
You made a confused noise in the back of your throat which you were sure was lost in the wind.
The sea began to pick up slightly as it did and you were reminded of the light chill in the air as the sky grew from orange to darker, and you were reminded of the oncoming night.
Standing with his hands on his waist, hair blowing back like he was having some sort of wise movie come to Jesus moment.
You joined him staring out at the warm, saturated reds and pinks and oranges of the mostly set sun.
You wondered if trees were comfortable to sleep in.
“So, I guess we have to set up camp, now?”

Hello I saw you asked for requests, could you do an aemond x reader where he has been courting Reader for months. Jacaerys comes back to Kingslanding and ask Rhaenyra for her hand. Aemond is ready to loose it and steal you on Vhagar in case Viserys choose his grandson over him.
Thank you so much if you choose to write it !

One Way Out
He refused to believe this was happening. It is all some joke at his expense; it must be. There is no way his father would reconsider an alliance with your house to favor his other grandson. Plans for your marriage have been in place for weeks. His mother and you spent ages going over courses, entertainment and guests. They’d already set the dowry. His father cannot simply destroy all of that to the whims of his favorite child, Rhaenyra.
“-Your Grace,” Otto Hightower spoke up, his voice amplified in the large throne room, “Lady Y/N is already set to marry Prince Aemond. It would not be wise to go back on an agreement with Lord Tyrell simply because Jacaryes desires the girl.”
“I love her!” Jace dared to say, eyes glaring at Lord Hightower.
“You hardly know her now,” Aemond said in his usual soft voice, which still seemed to carry. “She was a child when you left King’s Landing. Y/N is a different person now.”
This was true, but in a good sense. You’d grown up living in The Reach, but once your father was put on the small council, he brought you to King’s Landing. No doubt hoping to find you a husband in the great court. He did. It was Aemond. He’d convinced the king that a union between House Targaryen and House Tyrell would benefit the dragons far more. House Tyrell supplied most of the realm’s food resources. House Targaryen would have ample supplies come winter. It’d sounded like a good agreement. So, you lived in the castle. You’d grown up alongside himself, his sister and brother, and Rhaenyra’s children, Jace and Luke. Joffery had not been born yet. The shy, quiet girl he remembered from his youth had blossomed into a social butterfly. You knew all the latest court gossip, had many friends, and grown into a lovely woman.
Aemond loved you. Things moved slowly at first, since you were both children at the time and you wouldn’t flower for a while. He was a young boy who’d been more concerned about bonding with a dragon than his betrothed. He only ever admitted this to himself, late at night when his last waking thoughts were of you. But, then he’d lost his eye. He was sure you wouldn’t want to marry him then, but he’d been wrong. You said you thought it was brave of him to stand up to the others and claim the beast Vhagar. You’d sewn him a pair of leather riding gloves, which he wore every time he rode Vhagar, until they no longer fit.
He’d anticipated his wedding day for years now. You had as well, from what you’d told him. You’d recently had your dress made, even though you refused to show it to him. Now, his father would undo all this work because Jace desired a girl he only remembers in blurry memories.
“You’ve never once have written to her,” Aemond continued. “You didn’t even notice her when we were children. Y/N was betrothed to me, and I’ll be damned if I let you have her.”
They’d already taken his eye. Now, they wanted his woman.
“Aemond,” King Viserys called out to him. His voice alone made Aemond grind his teeth, “The matter is settled-”
“-No!” he whipped his head over to his father, an old, sickly man slumped on his throne. “Y/N has been promised to me.”
“I believe,” his mother intervened, “The only person who’s opinion truly matters is Lady Y/N’s.”
Aemond turned to the other side of the hall to see you standing there, looking more radiant than ever. You wore the sapphire bracelet he’d gifted you for your last nameday. You looked at the group with tearful eyes, though you did your best to blink them back.
“Lady Y/N,” his mother addressed you, “What say you?”
You didn’t respond right away. You glanced over at Jace and his family, then back to Aemond. His heart stopped for half a second. The sudden worry you’d choose Jace out of fear came to him. No. No, you wouldn’t do that. You loved him. You’d said so yourself.
“...I...I...” you said shakily. “I choose Jacaryes.”
His heart dropped. He must’ve heard you wrong. You misunderstood the question, maybe. He turned to his mother, who appeared as shocked as everyone else. Immediately, he felt his blood boil. He didn’t hear anything else except the rage beginning to build in his body. He looked over to Rhaenyra, who suddenly noticed his cold stare. She always got whatever she wanted. Jace must’ve convinced her to let him have you. It made sense from a political standpoint. House Tyrell were very powerful in The Reach. When Rhaenyra came into her throne, Jacaryes would be king after her...making you his queen.
He stormed out of the room, taking long strides, as people continued talking throughout the hall. All those nights he spent talking with you. All the times he let you seem his softer, more vulnerable side. Every time you cried or felt fear, he’d been there to comfort you. He swore to protect you no matter what happened. There must be an explanation.
And he got it. You came to his apartments an hour or so later. He knew you’d been crying. Your reddening eyes, parted lips, and wet cheeks told him as much. He felt compelled to comfort you, but alas, he stayed in his seat.
“Aemond...Aemond, let me explain.”
“What is there to explain? You want Jacaryes.”
“I don’t.”
“Then why did you choose him?”
It became clear why when you approached him, wiping your eyes again. “My father made me. He said if I married Jace, I’d be queen one day. A Tyrell girl on the throne? It’s been a dream of his from the start. Aemond,” you knelt on the ground in front of him. “I have never wanted anyone else. I’ve loved you ever since I was a little girl. You’re the man I wish to marry. My father and his damn ambition forced me into this tough decision. Your mother is trying to convince the king to change his mind, but I don’t think she’ll be able to.”
“Because he loves Rhaenyra more.”
A hard truth he accepted long ago. Rhaenyra, his half-sister, was the only child of his grandfather’s first wife. He’d named Rhaenyra heir to the throne before he married Queen Alicent, their mother. He had twenty years to name Aegon as heir, but never did. If not him, then he never named Aemond, the second son. He was too scared to lose his precious daughter, who came running to him whenever things did not go her way. Everyone knew the truth about her sons. It was written in their dark hair and dark eyes. Two Velaryon sons that don’t have silver hair or dark skin? It made no sense. It’d be like his father to gloss over it. He even cared more about the “lies” being spread about their legitimacy when Aemond lost his eye. He’d lost a part of himself, and his father punished no one.
“I’m so sorry, my love,” you pleaded with him. “I’m so sorry. Forgive me. I had no choice. My father said it was for the honor and duty of my house to do it, and I...I gave into him because he’s my father, and I love my family. You must understand that, right? You know what it’s like.
He leaned forward, taking both your hands in his. The idea came to him at once, “Then choose. Choose to marry me, and they cannot say anything about it.”
“Wh-what?”
“Come with me to the sept. We will get married with or without them.” He cupped your cheek and said, “I love you, Y/N. Be mine, and nobody can tear us apart ever again.”
“We can’t just-”
“-Yes, we can.”
“They’ll find us. They’ll go to the Septon and the Maesters and have it annulled.”
“They won’t.”
They won’t annul a marriage after consummation. They’d need serious grounds, which they have none. There were certain laws that not even a king can undo. He lifted you to your feet and he stood up with you.
“Come. We’re leaving.”
You didn’t protest as he handed you a cloak, and led you out of the keep through secret passages between the walls. His mind formulated a plan. Aemond had studied the law, seeing as all princes should. If he wed and bed you, they’d have a difficult time trying to undo the marriage. And if they did...
Vhagar was the largest and mightiest of the dragons.
You both went through winding streets and back alleys to reach the great Sept on the other side of the city. He still saw people coming in and out. He guessed there’d be a septon there who’d marry them in a hurry for a fee. They kept their cloaks over their faces as he spotted a fat septon in his robes lighting candles around the circle in the middle of the large, stone room. Once Aemond made himself known and showed him the large bag of coins, the septon happily agreed to marry them by the altars below.
They married under the Faith of the Seven, his mother’s religion. You stood in front of him, torch light hitting your face in the right angles. Nerves electrified his body. He did not stumble over his words or forget the vows as the septon tied your hands with his. When you kissed, he never felt happier.
To bed you, he led you down the Street of Silk. A brothel is the last place they’d expect Prince Aemond to be, and there was only one place he knew. The madam of the brothel grinned flirtatiously when she saw him. He recalled her from the last time he’d visited with Aegon several years ago. He told her his predicament, and she offered them a room for a fee. A hefty one. You felt uncomfortable being there at first, but once you both stood alone in the small room, all that fell away. He stripped your clothes off piece by piece, and you did the same in return. He spent the rest of the night learning every inch of your body; the parts that made you sigh softly and the others that made you tremble under his fingertips. You were his, and he was yours. Nobody would part you.
The sun shined high in the sky by the time someone managed to find you both. Ser Criston Cole and two Kingsguard stood in the doorway, shocked and speechless as they stared you both in the bed. Aemond stared right at him.
“Have you...?” Ser Cole asked, not daring to ask it out loud.
“We have.”
“My prince,” he said, “Your father will be angry when he hears of this.”
“My father is a sick, old man who isn’t long for this world,” he replied, arm around your shoulders as he drank from his wine cup. You cuddled up to his side, sheets up around your chest to cover yourself. “I don’t think we should take anything he says seriously.”
“He expressly said your betrothal was broken.”
“He might’ve been under the influence of milk of the poppy,” you added. “He isn’t in his right mind these days. He can’t do much to stop it now,” you said, putting Aemond’s cup aside and kissing him.
“Not a thing,” he smirked, pecking your lips. “You’ve done your job, Ser Cole. You’ve found us,” he pulled you onto his lap, “You may go now.”
“You are meant to come with me to the keep, Your Grace.”
“We will,” he said, beginning to kiss down your neck to your breasts.
“Just not now,” you sighed, starting to grind into him. “I haven’t finished with my husband, yet.”
“Your father will send more men, if you do not come with me now,” Ser Cole said. “You must explain yourselves.” He then saw you both begin losing yourselves in each other again, and said, “At least come to see your mother. She has been terribly worried for your safety.”
“I will see her soon. Now leave, Ser Cole.”
The man turned to leave, then said, “They will not stand for this.”
“They will.”
“They won’t. Rhaenyra isn’t used to not getting her way and that’s extended into her children.”
“If her and her bastards have a problem with it, then they’ll have to answer to my dragon.”
They would run away. He’d take you far from King’s Landing to where they could not find you. He refused to back down to Jacaerys Strong. Ser Cole took this to be his official dismissal and left. Then, he drowned himself in you once more.
When you both came back to the castle, the small council immediately summoned him. His mother sat at the head of the table, with Rhaenyra on one side, and the other council members on the other. He stood in front of them as he recounted his night with you, and the wedding ceremony they cannot undo. Maester Orwyle confirmed Aemond’s story. Once a marriage is consummated, an annulment would be difficult. His mother was more than happy to let it go, since there isn’t much to do about it. Rhaenyra grilled the Maester for a while about the technicalities. Aemond believed she spoke mainly on her son’s behalf, and not her own. They called on the septon who’d performed the ceremony, and named those who’d witnessed the union. A maester was sent to your chambers to examine you, to see whether he’d truly taken your maidenhood, which was confirmed when he returned.
“There is not much to be done,” Lord Hightower sighed, content with the final result. “Lady Y/N Tyrell is now Lady Y/N Targaryen, it seems.”
He could tell this bothered Rhaenyra highly, most likely worried at how upset her son would be. Aemond had no interest in the problems of a bastard boy. He had you now, and he’d never let you go.

A/N: okay, I know this didn’t really go with the whole running-away-on-vhagar thing, but I’ve done something similar before and wanted to go a different route. I like to think Aemond would do anything possible to make the marriage happen regardless lol thank you for requesting!
