Yes, all those gameplay updates are cool and all, but THEY ACTUALLY FIXED THE ACCESSORY RAIL ISSUE IN PHOTO MODE ZOMGasqwnfkjqengjwqaebgqwmg!!!!!!
Custom clothes aside, Val's appearance translated perfectly into 2.0, which is pretty nova.
The lighting will be off until the mods update, but honestly, I knew all those mods will take time to update, so I'm going into this to play the game and experience all the changes (I'm very excited).
Now I have to figure out why she's suddenly developed a desire to get her shirt off in Photo Mode, but that's not a gameplay issue!
The Val build
The new skill trees in 2.0 means I'm going to try out a skill setup I specifically developed to reflect Val's stated capabilities and limitations in the fanfic. Check out the visualiser if you want to know more:
I'm going to seriously play through the game again. Luckily, I haven't advanced any of the main story much so there's plenty of game to run through.

finally got the binding of isaac like a billion years late lmao
i wasn't really feeling it much at first, like it's fun but Very Confusing, and then i realized "ohh, this is a game where you may need to have 2000 wiki tabs open to really understand. like terraria. i get it now!" and NOW i'm getting into it properly lol
#ghost town... 2!#the binding of isaac#also shoutout to this guide app that lets you scan an item to find it and see what it does#WAY better than scrolling through 2 obscenely long wiki pages looking for “uhhh vague pale blob thing”#anyways this one definitely hasn't overtaken my whole brain like dead cells has but i'm having a good time!#also also i've learned through the analog stick drop that apparently i'm not much better at aiming in this type of game with a mouse lol#so maybe i should give gungeon another try. another roguelike i tried before i understood what a roguelike was#...and to circle back around to me comparing isaac to terraria:#kinda funny that terraria (pretty much the exact opposite of a roguelike) was in a way my introduction to really loving roguelikes#entirely because they announced the dead cells crossover and then i saw dead cells in the playstation plus thing#and went “oh hey i know that from the terraria update that's getting the silksong treatment right now. let me download that quick”#and it irreversibly changed my brain forever!!! #I just realized that I have not provided an update about the Boy recently#we’ve been talking pretty consistently since the date(?) and that’s been good?#he’s made no romantic overtures or anything which I suppose could be because he’s waiting until I’m not in another country#which is perfectly fine with me#I just don’t know if I like him or not or if he’s just easy to talk to or if I’m trying to delude myself into thinking I like him because I#want a boyfriend or if I’m being really really silly and just need to stop freaking out!#like I prayed about this boy and then he asked me out like I feel like that makes it pretty obvious I should at least see where this goes#but I’m scared 😅#also did I mention that we became friends as kids because of professor Layton? no joke#I was playing unwound future and he came up and introduced himself and asked what I was playing and we played right up to the end of it#together—and then when I saw him again I didn’t figure he’d remember (I was nine and he was eight) but he ended up going ‘hey you remember#that game we played together as kids? professor Layton? did you hear it’s getting a sequel?’#like not only did he remember that but he remembered the game BY NAME and even remembered one specific puzzle we were stuck on for ages#(it’s that one elevator puzzle near the end if any of you were curious)#anyway he’s trying to convince me to play hollow knight and I will attempt to oblige (although this is not my normal style of game lol)

I like to think that all the bat siblings just randomly drop insane lore about themselves. Like- they all have so much going on that there's no way to update everyone on everything so whenever one person mentions something crazy that happened in passing, the rest of the bats that didn't know are super chill about it. Except Bruce. When he finds out something he doesn't know, he always freaks out a little bit (control freak).
(Tim taking his daily antibiotic)
Bruce (trying to remember if something happened on patrol): Are you injured?
Tim (casually): No I'm alright. I've just had to take these ever since I lost my spleen.
Jason: Word. Good to be careful I guess.
Bruce (internally panicking): You lost your spleen?
Tim: well, maybe lost is the wrong word. I'm pretty sure Ra's Al Ghul still has it in a jar somewhere.
