What is Love to your Characters?

(feel free to speculate, create discussions and leave your own interpretation of love in the comments!)

sometimes, it's the most beautiful feeling that envelopes them, that overflows out of thrm. at times, it drains them, it leaves them empty, tired. both are love, but one is what it's supposed to be, and the other is what happens unfortunately.

maybe your character has loved so much it broke them. maybe it is something they fear, they try to avoid. if only, someone or themselves makes themselves realise, that, their love didn't drown them but filled them.

love, could be, being able to hold your partner and feel it, literally.

or, it could be in those moments of bidding goodbyes and you realise you never want to say last goodbyes to each other.

love could be just presence of the right person at the right time, to ur character. (being present to show you care does a lot than one can imagine)

just the thought of love might make your character smile. it's not the thought of loving a certain someone, but it's the thought of being able to love at all.

love is present in subtle touches, glances, unsaid words, comfortable silence between each other, being able to be you w them, and so many small things !

it's always visible in those frowns when you're sick, smiles when you're lovely, kisses when you're not feeling like yourself<3

In the same vibe as Percy choking Akhlys, may I suggest :

Nico causing wounds to necrotize. Even from a small scratch on your finger, it spreads so fast your only hope is an amputation asap.

Jason holding the air still in your lungs. You're not dying because you don't have air, but because you can't get it out and are literally choking.

Hazel controlling stones in jewelries. Imagine getting chocked by your necklace, your finger being sectioned by your ring, being handcuffed by your bracelets, your head being crushed between your earrings...

Thalia manipulating the electricity in your body. Causing your nervous system to move in certain ways, or just shutting down your brain activity.

The big 3 are terrifying, and I wish we would've seen them (others than Percy) being more op. Cmon Rick, show us reasons the gods are afraid of them !

hi does anyone else think about april throwing herself over leo to shield him in the shredder strikes back despite having no weapons no way to defend herself and probably assuming she was going to die. does anyone think about that all the time. every day. uncontrollably

Thinking about how Diavolo’s feelings transcend time and how in the Nightbringer UR+ card Demon Lord’s Castle Tour this conversation happens.

When asked, “Do you wish to see your father?”

Diavolo responds:

“I suppose I do . . .” isn’t the typical reaction to how a child would feel about wanting to see their parent. Especially when said parent has essentially been in a coma for a year.

Along with how Diavolo describe his father.

It makes more sense why when you learn in Lesson 56 how Diavolo was treated by him growing up.

Diavolo can tell when others are lying but is unable to understand his father’s intentions.

Diavolo mentions that he lived a very sheltered life growing up. That from a young age his father never allowed him a chance to talk to anyone outside the castle.

His childhood friend was Mephistopheles. A demon literally RAISED to be his friend. Putting a barrier between the two because Mephistopheles would put Diavolo on a pedestal.

The isolating childhood he experienced riddled with his strict father constantly scolding him.

Despite everything MC is so important to him he wants to see his father again so we can meet.
