as far as one piece antagonists go Crocodile truly gets absolutely scooby-doo’d at unmatched levels

He immediately falls for a phone scam and from basically little garden to rainbase he doesn’t even know the strawhats are alive (and clowning towards him at incredible speed). As soon as he does, they’re in his house tearing at his walls and bringing marines into his villain lair.

He uses a literal floor trap door over a gator pit to catch them, gets phone scammed again, full scooby-doo chase scenes after Chopper through the streets while still missing him, and suddenly his prisoners have escaped his impossible cage, and his giant bananagators are dead. and Nico Robin saw it all happen.

He then spends rest of the arc complaining about those meddling kids and their dog “strawhat pirates and their weird pet” and at no point does he even know how many strawhats there are.

Like yeah he keeps having plans on top of plans to stop everything Vivi can do but also she keeps coming up with a new thing to do (Tom and Jerry ass dynamic).

Part of it is that he’s underestimating them and keeps grandstanding villain monologuing but also teens keep killing hundreds of his grand line bounty hunters and he straight up does not know what is happening.

Cause he IS trying to kill them he’s sending top assassins after them and ripping out luffy’s organs, the whole time he’s yelling HOW ARE YOU ALIVE?? DIE. as whack-a-mole Luffy keeps inventing new ways to hit him.

#who would win: an untouchable warlord w 1000 plans and a million agents or 1 bouncy boy and his 4-10 (croco has NO idea how many) companion #he literally says like go kill all 4 strawhats and their pet thing verbatim #p sure he thinks there’s like at least a dozen strawhats by the end and more then one mr prince #sanji and chopper are basically shaggy and scooby throughout rainbase like if they had stopped for snacks instead then came & freed evryone #honestly the plans on plans is the only reason he made it as far as he did cause they were knocking through them mach 10 #he was in mob boss spy thiller mode and the strawhats are NOT matching his energy #he’s getting conned he’s getting clowned on his mouth is punched off mid line and now someone has called the cops (marines)#sir crocodile #monkey d luffy #nefertari vivi #tony tony chopper #black leg sanji #roronoa zoro #nami #usopp #straw hat pirates #one piece #alabasta arc

#bloodweave #baldur's gate 3 #bg3 #gale x astarion #astarion x gale #gale dekarios #astarion ancunin #yes this is about astarion helping gale defeat mystra and take her place with the crown in exchange for gale helping him with the ritual #the ‘they can make each other worse’ part of their relationship turned to the max #I enjoy them being reluctantly soft for each other more but from time to time I just think about how powerful they could get together #toxic evil boyfriends. take love and twist it up until it’s unrecognisable #I like to think that astarion approached gale with that offer after realising no one else in camp is gonna help him #and that he can use gales own hunger for power which backfired when astarion actually became emotionally invested in gale #and after gale kept his word despite everyone’s concerns astarion changed his plan from not fullfilling his end of the bargain to actually #helping gale kill mystra (mostly so that gale could belong to him and him alone. and letting him take the place as a god bc having a god #at you beck and call is definitely appealing. especially one as eager to please as gale)#anyway what I want to say with this is please please please let me kill mystra i don’t even care if the weave gets destroyed again

#is this anything #call me takumi bc i have eito stuck in my brain #hundred line #hundred line spoilers #thllda #eito tag #eitaku #aotsumi #have people decided on a ship name yet..#anyways i was rewatching this route to work on fic and there was such a good comment to the effect of #no matter how the route ends up eito ALWAYS wins bc he’s able to adapt his plan on the fly and stay 100 steps ahead of takumi #i keep wondering if there ever really was an 11th eito in the school….. i doubt eito would ever just give up and go quietly regardless #together forever is so interesting in particular bc it’s still technically possible for the team to ‘win’ and reach day 100 #would takumi’s sanity hold out? probably not #imagine walking into the cafeteria and hearing a chorus of ‘takumi-kun! ^-^’#i think it would just jumpstart the endurance match end again #lol

me personally. i wouldn't have gone after all the olympians at once. you're biting off more than you can chew here. all you would need to do is take each olympian out one by one. and then convince demigods that once enough people stop believing in a diety, that diety ceases to exist. which is not a lie. and you could use the death of pan to back yourself up. sure, you'd be in it for the long haul. but chess isn't meant to be a quick game.

Imagine a whole fiction about sharpwolf that's a mix of epic the musical and Homer's odyssey

Telemachus is now in a relationship with Antinous, who is struggling to cancel the suitors evil plans. He loves tele, but the others are ready for the bloodshed. He realizes eurymachus is slowly replacing him as a leader behind his back as he was "getting softer for the prince".

Odysseus comes back and reunites with his son. With Eumaeus' help, they organize the suitors massacre.

The night before it, telemachus prays to athena for help.

Tele in tears : I can't.... I can't choose between my lover and my family ! Tonight in a few hours, we will kill them all, and I know they all deserve it, but.... but antinous is different! He can change!

Athena sighs : I'll only make one exception. Here, take this. Pour this mixture on his wound after he dies, and he will live again as if he was never hit.

Tele : after he dies ??? Are you certain-

Athena: This was used to revive Pelops after he was killed, prepared, cooked, served by his father Tantalus, AND a little bit eaten by demeter. So be assured. It works.

I see people talk a lot about how Ketheric is the best villain in BG3 because he's serious and has genuine sympathetic motivations while Orin and Gortash are just going "heehee I love being evil" and I feel like these people have missed what a massive fucking loser and piece of shit Ketheric Thorm is. I say this as a Ketheric lover--I am rotating this man in my brain so often--but my god he sucks so bad.

Like I don't want to minimise the grief of losing your loved ones before their time, and I can't even imagine how horrific it must be to have to bury your child. But plenty of people have to do that and then don't become war criminals about it. Ketheric murdered a lot of other people's families in his grief, even before becoming Myrkul's Chosen in return for getting Isobel resurrected. (And ofc, his treatment of Isobel is more Control and Abuse and lying about her girlfriend being dead when he's actually torturing her than about being a sweet doting dad who loves his daughter, but that's a whole other post.)

Gortash is repressing his tragic backstory and delighting in hurting people the way he was hurt. Orin is too deep in a lifetime of cult brainwashing to recognise that she has a tragic backstory until the very last moment, and trying desperately to get family approval the only way she's ever been taught (murder). Ketheric only looks more tragic on the surface because he's marinating in his backstory. He is not in any way a better or more complex person for it, he's just a deeply sad man, in more than one sense of the word.

He absolutely benefits from having an entire act built around his storyline and having it be actually well written, while Orin and Gortash have to share Act 3 and then get upstaged by a talking brain as the Big Bad! But being voiced by JK Simmons doesn't make Ketheric not a loser.

#btw i love writing him in Not A Place of Honour soooo fucking much because he 100% thinks he's better than the others #i didn't plan kallian calling him out in chapter 7 in advance but i had to get it in before her brainstabbing because he's So Much in my fi #and then i put down my writing and see other fans talking about how tragic and awesome he is #and it is Not Enough to have kallian bully him in my fic. i've got to do it personlly in real life too now.#ketheric thorm #baldur's gate 3
