Summary: Nobody really liked your boyfriend, he was always controlling and possessive. Slowly isolating you from everyone. Temari came to visit and when he slapped you Infront of everyone, Temari had finally had enough.

Everyone knew that Temari had eyes for you, and only you. Yet, they also knew that you had a boyfriend, who you loved dearly. That love for him made you blind of the way he stared at other women. Made you to blind to see that he was slowly pulling you away from your friends with his overprotective demeanor. People tried to tell you, but you always dismissed it with a simple “He just wants what's best for me.” You really were blinded by love. 

You walked down the streets of konoha, a basket in hand. The streets weren't busy, but they weren't dead either. It was nice. You waved towards the people in shops you recognized and the people on the road you have met before. You gripped your basket, looking at the stuff you have bought. Checking off everything, making sure you didn't forget something. 

As you were checking off your mental checklist, you heard a voice right by your ear. “What are you doing?” You jolted, turning around to give a face to the voice. It was Ino, someone you considered a close friend. “Jeez Ino, you scared me.” You sighed, scratching the back of your neck. “Pffft, And you call yourself a shinobi?” She smirked, flipping her hair over her shoulder before resting her hand on her hip.  The streets seemed to get busier, people passing by lost in their own conversation. 

You smiled, adjusting the headband that rested on your neck. “Yeah…. I've been losing my touch haven't I. My boyfriend has been wanting me to stay home more. He wants me to be safe.” You thought he was sweet, Ino clearly wasn't all too happy with it. A clear scowl planted on her face. She began to speak, quickly cutting herself off. Just before saying something else. “I'm not going to even bother. Listen.. I.. umm… Temari is visiting the village. We were all going to meet at the Ramen shop Naruto likes so much. Ichmaku… Ichymaru??? I don't remember the name.” She sighed, looking away and watching the people go around and into shops. “ Just don't bring that boyfriend of yours. It's just going to be us fellow shinobi.. You know?” She fiddled with her hands. She didn't want to make you upset being your friend and all. But she didn't like your boyfriend. Nobody did.

“Huhhhh? Yeah, that's fine! I'll be there!” You affirmed, a happy tone in your voice and a smile planted on your face.  Ino turned her head back around, a smile planted on her face. “ That's great I'll see you then! “ She blurted. Before you could speak, she had disappeared when somebody walked between you two. You were excited, you hadn't seen tamari in forever. 

The night came quicker than expected. When you had gotten home, your boyfriend wasn't even there. He left to who knows where. Just in case he came back while you were gone, you left a note saying where you were at. Just so he knew you were safe. You wore your usual outfit, the usual shinobi uniform. You looked great in it, and didn't really have anything else nice to wear. 

As you stepped out the door the cool wind blew, the stars sparkled overhead and the crickets sang. It was a lovely night. You made your way towards the Ramen shop, your footsteps not making a sound as you went. The streets were empty, compared to when you were out earlier. Everyone was asleep. Besides the very loud shouting as the Ramen shop came into view. You quicken your pace unknowingly as you rushed to get over there. It had been awhile since you were out. And it had been awhile since Temari had been here. 

You moved the piece of fabric as you stepped into the little area. Everyone was sitting down already. Ino, Choji, Shikamaru, and… “Temari! It's been awhile” You beamed, Rushing to give her a hug from behind. “Ack- Hey!! It has been, huh ..” She mumbled, patting your arms signaling to let go despite how much she enjoyed it. “Hey! We are here as well, you know!” Ino shouted from behind. You chuckled before running up to her and giving her a hug. 

As you greeted your old team, Temari's eyes never left you. Even as the night carried on. When you were in a conversation or when she was in one herself. She always had her eyes on you or her hand holding yours. Friends could hold hands, couldn't they? Time flew by and hours passed. You didn't realize how late it had gotten! As you were about to pay your bill, you heard someone shout your name. You didn't have to think hard to figure out who's voice it was. You quickly paid the bill and rushed out, a smile planted on your face. “Hey Love! Me and my friends were just finishing up. I-” You were cut off by a hand smacking your face. Your boyfriend's hand, smacking your face. Your eyes widened as you brought your hand to your cheek. You slowly moved your eyes to look at him. He was pissed. 

“WHAT THE FUCK IS YOUR ISSUE?” Someone screamed from behind you, you didn't bother to look to see. You were too busy trying to figure out what you did. What made him so angry. You studied his face for some kind of answer. He shouted at the person behind you. Multiple voices joined in and shouted at him. Your ears began to ring, the shouting becoming background noise as tears slowly streamed down your face.

You weren't in your thoughts for too long. As someone grabbed your hand and pulled you towards them, away from your boyfriend. You were snapped back to reality as Temari was getting louder at the man. Starting to step closer to him. “ARE YOU FUCKING JOKING?? SHE WASN'T HOME SO YOU CAME AND FOUND HER AND FUCKING SLAPPED HER?? ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR MIND???” Temari was fuming. “I DONT FUCKING LIKE YOU GUYS. SHE SHOULDN'T BE WITH YOU GUYS AT ALL.” Your boyfriend scowled, matching Temari's tone.  “THE FUCK DID WE DO TO YOU?!” Ino shouted, clearly pissed.

The argument continued for a bit longer. Your boyfriend giving half-assed responses and just yelling. Sooner or later when Temari threatened to get physical he finally walked off, shooting you a glare. The moment he walked off Temari turned towards you, making sure you were alright. You were staring at your shoes, eyes still wide and your cheeks stained with tears. Temari wiped your tears with her thumb and brought you into her embrace. “You guys can go home, I'll deal with her, Alright?” Temari mumbled towards the other 3, Playing with a strand of your hair. Shikamaru nodded and Choji did as well. Both still worried, but they walked off. Ino Nodded as well giving you a pat on the head and saying everything was going to be alright before walking away as well.

You and Temari stood there for a few minutes, the warmth of her embrace keeping you grounded. It was silent besides when the wind blew, it was comforting. But of course, one day someone had to break the silence. “Break up with your boyfriend.” Temari said sternly. “What?” You whispered back, not believing what she said. “Break up with your boyfriend..” She repeated, pushing you out from her embrace and holding you by the shoulders in front of her. Your eyes lock as your eyes widen once more. “B-but it was probably just some misunderstanding! He probably didn’t mean it!” You stammer, moving your hands to try and communicate what you were saying. “A boyfriend doesn’t slap you over a misunderstanding. A boyfriend doesn’t keep you from your job for his selfishness.” She growled, taking her hands off your shoulder. “And a boyfriend, definitely, does not keep you from your friends, and slowly isolate you. “ She crossed her arms, figuring out what to say next. As she began to speak again, adding to her points, You cut her off. “He wasn’t doing that.. Was he?” You whisper, looking down at your feet. She hummed confusingly. “He wasn’t isolating me…” Your hands dig into your uniform as you struggle to meet Temari’s gaze. “He was, why do you think none of your friends like him? Why do you think you are barely leaving the house anymore?” You struggled to form your words, Temari was right. You didn’t want to believe it though, you loved him. Yes he had his… ways. Yet you still loved him. Despite all of it. “I Get it may be hard, but you have to trust me on this. Please?” Temari murmured before hugging you again. You slowly returned the hug, Nodding a yes. You didn’t want to leave him, but you trusted Temari..She sighed a sigh of relief, whispering in your ear something you would remember. “I Could treat you better anyways.”

Hello...just want to say, so happy !! Finally my best friend who is anti-shipping in shounen (and love to make fun of me because I have ships in every shounen that I watched/read), said that he can't find any het explanation for Gojo/Geto and Bakugou/Midoriya relationships...

Especially when I showed him your posts (that is based in canon and so true). Thanks for sharing your wonderful posts....

I've also noticed some of my older Satosugu posts are attracting attention and subsequently feel like I need to just list out all the most tragic things about them that I hold dear in a separate post because you've basically prodded a festering wound within me.

Re: Your last ask (maybe the same person?), I really only tried to focus on stuff that's already been animated because I try to avoid spoiling the fun for everyone. 🥹✨

It's hilarious that Gojo/Geto and Bakugou/Midoriya are the two relationships that stick out specifically considering their creators intently make them complements of one another.

Gege Akutami cited specifically that Gojo and Geto were designed to be a duo in an interview with Mandou Koboyashi (shout out to twitter user @/soukatsu_ or @soukatsu here as the real MVP for translating and adding further context for other fans). Fans seem to recognize their yin and yang design everywhere. There are countless salt and pepper shaker videos set to Ricky Montgomery's "Mr. Loverman" on tiktok, I'm positive. This is despite being marked by their dissonance.

Kohei Horokoshi has Bakugou and Midoriya recognized as two halves of the same whole by other characters in the story, most remarkably All Might who in many ways carves the deepest chasm(s) between them. The wax and wane of their unique development as individuals being integrally related is also something to note.

But this isn't unique to these two stories. I haven't even watched Naruto but know that Naruto and Sasuke serve as the sun and the moon to one another (literally within the story, their seals and by design/disposition) and I'm sure we could find this in other shows I haven't hyperfixated on haha

There's probably nothing new I can add to the MLM shipping discourse in shonen/seinen genres that hasn't been said, especially when it's been so eloquently broken down by IG user @/ariavelz. I also think there's a fair amount of queerbaiting in mainstream media and anime alike. Five seasons of Free! comes to mind...

Now the MUSIC!? In JJK? Bestie.

S1 already had me gagged with this brain worm. But, the fact that the song playing during Yuta and Rika's final moment in the fight vs. Geto and subsequently during the final moments Gojo and Geto share in that alley in JJK 0 was called "This is Pure Love"??? That's when I knew there were some Satosugu's on staff at Mappa. I don't think we need to dig into the parallels of how Yuta's fondness for Rika being the catalyst for her becoming a curse was the same way Gojo's fondness subsequently led to Geto's "comeback". Gojo, based on his experience at the time, said "love is the most twisted curse of them all" and time showed him just how twisted it really could be in season 2.

NOW THE OP!? It's just so lonely. Their cursed techniques being at odds with one another is so tragic, in a sense, and ultimately creates this divergence from one another. Geto, a genius of diligence, nobly consumes and sullies himself with the curses he has to imbibe like a martyr. Gojo, a genius of happenstance, is pristine. Born into privilege and untouched by the need to work hard or literally touch curses which Geto later grows to resent.

Meanwhile, Gojo's largely a product of isolation as imposed by his status and cursed technique and "Ao no Sumika" or "Where Our Blue Is" by Tatsuya Akitani waxes on about how, despite his best efforts, he could never reach Geto. The irony. As the story continues, we do, in fact, see that Gojo's never changed in the canonically affectionate way he regarded Geto. I think about this dissonance a lot. Literally, how did your Six Eyes miss that?

Now, I initially assumed the EP was from Gojo's perspective because Geto only seemed to smile in his presence (who's blushing face are we trying to see, afterall?). However, it is said to be from Geto's perspective and that, too, makes sense. Two viewpoints acting as bookends of the history between them.

I think what's sad about it is the way in which Gojo's POV is centered wholly on Geto, regardless of who or what he became; whereas Geto's perspective is more broadly applied to Gojo in part but also his own turmoil and moral dilemma.

Part of why Geto is thrown into such chaos is because of his inherently principled existence and yet, he is still the moon to Gojo's sun (Naruto, what are you doing heree?). Where Gojo always held a place for Geto, I think Geto assumed that his radicalization and subsequent defection marked a departure from Gojo because he was never really one to exist in shades of grey. Even if his impetus for this new society was ultimately to protect Gojo (and others like him) in the only way he felt he could.

4, 5, 10, 13, 14, 15 for the fanfic ask game 💕

4.How do you channel characters' voices and personalities? A lot of self reflection. Lol Writing fanfiction is a double edge sword for this one. The voices and personalities are right there. They already have a voice and personality. It makes it really easy. But at the same time, as a fanfic writer, you have a lot of liberties with that. You get a lot of writers that do not make the characters anything like they are in canon and depending on the writing, it works. Particularly in AUs. Especially in non canon ships. Because, lets be frank, in canon Kakashi wouldn't touch Sakura with a ten foot pole like that. But that's also not why we're here. I do not always write my characters the way the initially were portrayed, but I do my best to at least stay within bubble of realism. Lots of 'What would Kakashi do?' or 'Would Sakura really do that?' This usually comes in the editing process. I would advise you to that while writing. Don't want to get into the revising of a long fic and realize that what you've written does not match Kakashi's personality at all and have to rewrite motivations. *cries in fanfic* 5. What techniques do you use to create believable dialogue? Similar to above, a lot of 'what would Kakashi say' or 'What would Sakura say' I've been writing a lot more Gai recently and creating believable dialogue with him has been challenging, but in a fun way. He's very boisterous and very animated and has a very interesting manner of speaking at times. Finding the right words is important.

TLDR: just being mindful of the character's head I'm in.

Also! when I write dialogue, I try my best to have them not just standing in the ether talking to one another with their hands at their sides. No one talks like that. I try to stay away from just saying 'he said/she said' and say 'he rubs the back of his neck' or 'she presses her lips together and looks away' or if they are walking and talking have them looking around and noticing the stuff around them (even if it is the person next to them.) Using the characters quirks and mannerisms helps build out a talky-talky scene.

10.What's your favorite part about the fic writing process? Coming up with the idea and the brain storming in my head. The day dreaming. Then writing, which is the second worst part. Then revising is the bane of my existence.

13.What's the most challenging aspect of writing fanfiction for you? Besides the fact I tend to switch tenses? Which is more of a writing thing than fanfic thing... it's characterization. Hands down. I would like to create a piece of work where there is no time where the person pauses and goes 'that character wouldn't do/say that' (unless it's, you know, a driving force behind the story. Like that's the plot or the relationship). I want Kakashi to be Kakashi. I want Sakura to be Sakura. For better or worse. Flaws and all. Because playing with flaws is very fun. 14.How do you go about researching details or canon information? Naruto Wiki. It's hard because it's been a hot minute since I've read Naruto and to recall what is canon and what is filler is a bit mind reeling. I say that and recognize I do pick and choose what I pull from filler. Like Friend-Killer Kakashi. 15.Do you plan your fics or prefer to let the story unfold as you write? I do both. Usually my first write through is half a story and half outline. The second go through is where I expand on ideas and then start narrowing things down. Then some ideas take hold and I run with it. That's one of the nice things about waiting until you're done writing the whole thing before you post because you can find a great idea at the end of a piece and go back and add layers in at the beginning and no one is the wiser.

"It's No Secret" - Hinata returns to Konoha after 5 years studying abroad in the Moon Kingdom. She just wants to enjoy her last year of high school as a normal girl, but blossoming love forces her to confront her future. (Rated M). - My baby fish. A high school AU for which I was really trying all different kinds of things and making all kinds of mistakes, finding my writing style. As a fanfic writer newbie, I felt so free to do whatever I wanted! Every scene for me was gripping, and I was so immersed in the world I was trying to create. It has an original, lengthy plot that I still hope to finish one day!!! I love this fic just because it was so instrumental to helping me improve. It's definitely NOT my best work, but from the first chapter to the most recently published chapter, my growth in writing is so apparent. All of the comments I got on it, even the ones that criticized, were encouraging for me and I cherish those readers who've followed my fics since then 💞

"Nightdreams" - Naruto and Hinata find comfort in each other after the war. (Rated E). - The easiest multi-chapter fic to write. Ever. Since then, I've never had quite as much fun writing a fic (I think Catskin came close). Certainly never as easy a time. "Nightdreams" had its moments of growth for me for sure, though, like the mission chapter, the argument chapter, all of the smut! It had its challenges, but the story flowed so easily, from beginning to end. I think there were only a couple of small writer's blocks. Overall, "Nightdreams" easily takes fave #2 just because it was so fun, and I think readers can tell that I really enjoyed writing it.

"Awkward Jocks" - She knows that if he were to ever ask her out, she would accept in a heartbeat. After all, he's the star quarterback and basketball player. Plus, she's liked him since...forever. But when her home phone rings, and he's on the other line, she hangs up. (Rated G). - The sweet and funny love story based off of my ex-coworker's life...bittersweet now, don't remember if I shared on Tumblr why. But I wrote this fic full of my love for her, so it takes the spot for fave #3.

"About You" - A summer job at the Dole pineapple cannery, graveyard shift 10 PM to 6 AM. A long bus ride into and out of town. Two teens, shy beside each other. (Rated G). - One of my most personal fanfics, though many of them are super personal. This is possibly the MOST personal because it's slightly based off of my parents' stories, I set it on my home island, and I experimented with writing the dialogue in pidgin. The only reason it's not higher on my list is because I somehow feel like I didn't do as good a job on it as I would have liked. It's like, the cultural/historical details are not accurate enough for me. But this is definitely a fic I wrote for myself, and it's been a joy to see other people love it, too.

"Matcha" from "Shared Vows" - Naruto calls Hiashi "father" for the first time. (Rated T). - ooooh it was a toss-up between this one or "Finally Home" from "Shared Vows," but I decided on "Matcha" as my fave #5. I love how I framed this fic, its ending reversing the beginning, and I somehow managed to communicate exactly what I wanted to say about Naruto's new family. This fic gives me such feel-good vibes, and I'm so glad it captured the feelings I felt.

I know that my personal faves do not align with readers' personal faves. Except for maybe "Nightdreams" haha. That one is easy to love. I know people loved "White Lilies," "Friend of Mine," "Tell Me of Forevers," and "Undercover," ...those exhibit some of my best technical writing, so I'm glad readers recognized that effort! My personal faves have more sentimental value, I guess, so that's what makes them special to me.

ok how i actually think next gen naruto shouldve gone/who would actually have kids

shikamaru and temari- def actually would. i agree. bc of the thing with asuma and mirai, shikamaru is one of the central characters to the theme of growing up from being taught into a teacher and making a world for today's kids to grow up in thats better than the one you grew up in. he likes kids and is good with kids. temari is the type to not super like kids in a general sense and she's not THAT good with them, but she thinks her own kid is the greatest thing in the whole world and better than every other kid that exists. kids like her because of her cool air but she doesnt get why since she's not that attentive to kids that aren't hers. she'd give shikadai cool hairstyles

naruto- he really loves kids but recognizes that he's too busy to be able to give all his attention to raising one, so he settles for visiting the school a Lot and being the cool uncle to his friends' kids, which he does pretty effortlessly. unmarried, not interested in getting married, his best friend is sasuke

sasuke- NO what the fuck.... he would not. he doesn't really care for kids and by design of his JOB is on the move constantly. he knows he couldn't raise a kid and it never even crosses his mind that thats even a thing potentially on the table. unmarried, not interested in getting married, his best friend is naruto

sakura- would probably get married but not to any of her old classmates. she likes kids but her passion lies elsewhere and she doesn't want to split her attention between raising a child and being a top ranking jounin, teaching medical ninjutsu classes, etc. she really loves her friends' kids though and occasionally goes through phases where she wants a kid REAAALLY BAD before she remembers again that she actually doesn't really

hinata- would also get married but not to any of her old classmates. would have kids. sorry i dont have a lot to say on her but she is naruto's canonical wife so i can't not talk about her

rock lee- i dont know exactly how metal lee comes about in canon but i think its perfect tbh. no one really KNOWS where this kid came from he just kind of appeared. lee is not married, and he feels a little sad about it sometimes, but guy won't let him feel bad about it for long

tenten- married to a woman. has a kid

kiba- married with a kid

shino- married to a man. no kids no plans for kids. he likes teaching everyone else's kids instead

ino- not married, swings between wishing she was and being glad she isn't. really wants to the "the cool aunt" to shikadai and chocho, which she succeeds at sometimes but they mostly just think she's trying too hard

also, i just genuinely enjoy the animation? much of the animes previous to the 2010s make me wanna stop watching simply because i don't want to deal with the style and character design. i actually struggled with watching naruto at first because of this. but i think there's a lot of visual development in fmab that i wasn't expecting, which makes me excited to keep watching.

i will say, i've realized that the only way i finish tv shows these days is if i have someone continuously telling me they're invested in talking about these shows. but i actually haven't been able to find anyone to talk about fma or bsd, which is why ive struggled so much in continuing my watch (plus, i haven't continued any of the animes i wanted to watch like demon slayer, jjk, dr stone) despite really enjoying their first season. i think one of the best parts of getting into new shows is building a good conversation with people. but as i get more busy with my life, i fail to make new circles in order to have them. see, i'd love it if i could do watch parties sometimes, or just rant about my surprise. but the person that prompted bsd stopped at s3 and has not looked back. demon slayer wasnt continued by my best friend. no one i know comfortably has watched dr stone or fma at all... and jjk is the only option i think i could have that experience, but it's just not as interesting to me as the other shows are in my head. plus that friend didnt even like it that much.

so i guess what im saying is, i like it, i want to continue, but i'll probably struggle to get to a place where i can expand into a more nuance opinion when i feel like i have very little incentive to watch

That said, without going into too much detail, Raz was experiencing some pretty severe harassment from members of the Naruto/sns fandom. Worst Fictional Friends in my opinion:

1. Heather (Total Drama). You know you fucked up when Lindsay and Beth became besties over their dislike of you. I would also put Duncan here as well as he technically broke bro code. And before you said anything, yeah Riku did the same in Kingdom Hearts 1, but it was only during that one game and he recognized his mistake at the end of that same game. Iza went a step beyond though and tried to get Lea to stop being around them so much and even later started antagonizing him. Motherfucker really said “no new friends”.

9. Eric Cartman (South Park). ‘Nuff said.

10. Cerberus (Disgaea). This motherfucker plotted to used Zed to destroy the universe by turning his sister Bieko into a God of Destruction and have her kill him countless times. All because his true love got killed. That’s right, he basically pulled an Obito. And even AFTER they saved his ass when his body broke down. Yeah Zed wasn’t exactly the nicest person around, but after the shit Cerberus pulled, can you blame him? What's your opinion on the mary-su—*COUGH*- i mean... OC Kiyomi Uchiha, by Jennapark04?

As far as I know, she is an overrated female twin Sasuke who is so powerful at everything ( ripping off medusa, sasuke, naruto and nagato ) that she is a Mary Sue. Why is she still alive after the Uchiha massacre? Because she is his twin sister?.Sasuke is the only survivor of the Uchiha Clan Massacre, and that's still canon even in the Boruto series.. Itachi was ordered to kill all the members of his clan and he even killed his own parents, but he was "allowed" by Danzo to spare Sasuke if he did his job well.

So after the massacre, there can be no other Uchiha-ocs unless they are Sasuke x Sakura's oc children. What about Obito and Madara, you ask? They were presumed dead long before the massacre and were abandonned, even Kakashi felt guilty about losing his friend. Anyway, Kiyomi's facial expression always looks like she's condescending and making fun of people. It annoys me that she thinks she's the best and better than sasuke even when she's been called crazy.

She wants so much to be a perfect and better Sasuke 0.2 that she copied his storyline with Teka team and Orochimaru. Even Sarada didn't know or recognize her own oc "aunt"'??. The oc creator has lazy writing because I feel their oc does not have her own personality but is product of their wish fullfilment/ self insert fantasy.

My other problem with her is the type of relationship that she has with her snake summoning.

Again, she makes no sense and this confirms my belief that she likes to treat people and animals like shit because she enjoys it and thinks she is best. She tries so hard to be an interesting character that she isn't interesting. I honestly don't think Gaara should be her love partner, he wouldn't like people like her. He's had his own share of mental trauma so he doesn't need another cunning person who does mental gymnastics like pro. I can imagine her getting along with Sugeistu though.

NOTES: Hi! I am back after finishing my semester, and I know I said I would have been back last week however I NEEDED that week long mental break, you know? I don't know why I go into new semesters thinking I'll be fine but end up having more mental breakdowns than I can count, but whatever, here is the long awaited Hokage Itachi because we really needed some of it right? I hope you enjoy, and I'll be working hard to finish the remaining 2 requests!

STANDING before the citizens of the Hidden Leaf Village, Uchiha Itachi wore the white cloak with red accents matched with the red and white cap, signifying his new role as the Sixth Hokage. Looking over the many faces staring up at him, Itachi took in some of the gruesome looks stuck on those faces whilst they silently judged him from far below. Despite the downfall of the Uchiha clan by his own two hands, Tsunade, the previous Hokage, still gave the position to Itachi, recognizing his abilities and strength.

Many people were against this because they couldn’t stop thinking about the crimes that the Uchiha committed to the highest level. All they saw in the Uchiha were the same, murderous Sharingan eyes from that night, even with the full truth out in the blue.

Itachi stepped up to the railing and fixed the cap on his head to allow him a better look at the civilians he was in charge of now. He cleared his throat to prepare for the speech he had spent all night writing and rehearsing.

“Hidden Leaf. I am aware of the crimes I have committed when I was thirteen and a part of the respected ANBU. Ever since that night, all I have ever wondered was how I could make it up to the village that I grew up in. All of the burdens I had carried back then have been relieved from my shoulders, and many people I was close to back then have forgiven me for my previous actions. In no way am I saying that you all have to accept me immediately, and I understand if you cannot completely accept my new position as the Hokage. However, I assure you that I will take this position and handle it with care and caution to keep all of you safe,” Itachi spoke in his deep and clear voice, echoing out to everyone who was watching the ceremony.

Coming up beside him was his little brother, Uchiha Sasuke, and Sasuke’s best friend, Uzumaki Naruto. The two wore contrasting looks on their faces, one being uncontrollably happy and the other looking like he just got out of bed. Either way, both of them felt good about seeing a new Hokage come into power, especially one of the child prodigies within the village.

“Uzumaki Naruto and Uchiha Sasuke will be my assistants and aiding the major roles of my new job. I hope everyone that is still wondering over this new leader will grow accustomed to this,” Itachi added.

Itachi bowed respectfully and turned around to let the Japanese letters of “Sixth Hokage” show to the entire village. The wind blew wonderfully in the air, beginning to push the loose cloak around Itachi’s shoulders to sway with it. He turned his head to look over his shoulder, taking in the final sight of the citizens before walking away to head to the headquarters.

Fatigue dreaded across your body, but all those days of walking endlessly through the forest was worth it when you arrived at the large gates of the Hidden Leaf Village. A relieving sigh escaped from your panting mouth, and you knelt down to let your tired legs take a small break. Your form must have been triggering to the point that two guards standing outside of the gates jogged up to you, kneeling down to your level.

“Are you okay?” one of them asked. Immediately, your head shot up and you spotted the unique headband wrapped around the man’s head. The leaf symbol engraved in it brought your attention directly to it, and you realized you weren’t dreaming after all. “I—Is this really the Hidden Leaf Village?” you asked, looking from one man to the other.

The one that asked you if you were okay had a white bandage wrapped around his face, sitting over the bridge of his nose and on his cheeks. Kotetsu’s thin eyes went from his partner in crime, Izumo, back to you when you mentioned the village’s name.

“Yes, it is. Let me help you inside,” Kotetsu replied, holding out a hand for you. A small, awkward laugh left your lips as you took hold of his hand, having him help you up and back on your own feet. You dusted off your pants and began to follow the two ninjas to the front gates.

Izumo knocked lightly against the gate, and the three of you waited for a response. After a few seconds, you didn’t see anything occurring, but the sudden opening of the gates spooked you. When you regained composure, you watched the gates open up, hitting the backs of the fence roughly due to their huge size.

“There are plenty of rooms available for you to stay in, but please enjoy your stay here,” Izumo said, motioning to the gorgeous village that lies past the gates. “Actually, is there any way I can see the Hokage?” you asked curiously, gripping the handles of your backpack.

Izumo looked past your shoulder to glance at Kotetsu who had his eyes wide. A regular person wouldn’t be able to get a meeting with the Hokage, but since you were a foreigner, you weren’t aware of the strict protection that was given to the head of the village.

“Uh… as of right now, I believe the Hokage is currently doing some work within the headquarters, but it is unlikely that a foreigner will be allowed into the building. We take our security very seriously here in the Hidden Leaf,” Izumo stated firmly, looking at your face. “Unlikely isn’t impossible, so I’ll take my chances! So you say he’s at the headquarters? Where might that be?” you questioned enthusiastically.

You stood on the tips of your toes for your measly attempt at trying to look over the tall, wooden buildings, figuring out which one was these so-called headquarters.

“The headquarter building is the largest in all of the Hidden Leaf, and it stands near the chiseled rock that has our previous leaders into it,” Kotetsu responded, walking up to Izumo, “I’m going to give you some luck because ever since the Hokage was given his new role, he hasn’t been up to talking to anybody except for his close co-workers and some of the jonins.”

Izumo elbowed Kotetsu in the stomach, forcing a groan out of the man and a firm glare shot in his direction. You turned to face the two bickering men, tilting your head in curiosity.

“You know we can’t let a random stranger up in the headquarters building, you idiot. Why are you giving her luck? It’s bad to lighten people’s hopes when you know they’ll be shot down, instantly. I literally can’t believe you, Kotetsu,” Izumo muttered, shaking his head with a hand on his forehead. “Hey! You and I both know that we are both equally likely to put support into someone we have just met… speaking of, what is your name?” Kotetsu added, looking back at you.

“Y/N! I come from a village not too far from here, but I’m not good with long distances,” you replied, nodding your head simultaneously. “This is Izumo, and I’m Kotetsu. Well, we’ll let you be, and again, good luck in getting to the Hokage,” Kotetsu said, bowing at you.

With a light wave directed to the two jonins, you turned once again and stepped foot across in the light mark in the sand, allowing you to walk into the Hidden Leaf Village.

“She’s not going to get in, I’m telling you,” Izumo muttered. He began to walk back to the open gate to prepare to close it. “And I’m telling you that she’s going to be someone interesting that will probably bring the Hokage out of the dumps. Did you see how attractive she was?” Kotetsu spat out, sighing happily.

“Hey, close these gates and stop thinking about that one random foreigner already.”

It shouldn’t have taken you as long as it should have, but because of the new environment, you just had to try some sweet foods and desserts along the way. You ended up eating some freshly made delectables from a sweet, old lady, and you enjoyed it very much.

Now, you looked right up at the brightly colored building, taking in its stunning appearance. For such a simple building, you felt empowered just standing there. You looked back down and in front of you, taking in a deep breath to help calm the stressful beating of your heart and the racing thoughts in your mind. Once you let out that breath, you began making your way to the building, taking small steps due to the anxious feeling continuing to spread all throughout your body.

Meanwhile, within the small office belonging to the Hokage, Itachi stood in front of one of the large windows that brought a beautiful sight of all the buildings in the Hidden Leaf Village. His eyes weren’t in their Sharingan state as they usually would be for every ticking second of everyday, and instead, his charcoal orbs stared at the glorious view. All of this… it was his to protect.

Ever since he was admitted into the position, Itachi hasn’t gotten many positive comments. It got to a certain point where he refused to talk to anyone because of how shaky he got afterwards. Being a child prodigy, Itachi was used to the overwhelming thoughts and feelings that came with a job to do, but negativity was a new thing for him. After the Uchiha massacre, he hadn’t, physically, looked back at the village for a good number of years, preventing his mind from ever comprehending just how hated he was back here.

The negativity has only continued to have gotten worse, and the effects of it were terrible to the point that Itachi rarely leaves his new office. He has tried to distract himself from all of the comments with the huge workload he’s been given, but some days, it’s not enough to shelter him from the outside world of hatred. Sometimes, Itachi even grew paranoid that something were to happen to him if he had ever stepped foot out of this safe building.

Itachi’s gaze was, suddenly, torn from the window upon the sounds of light bickering coming from the hallway just outside of his office. Thankfully, he was aware of who was coming to the office from the voices he’s hearing, so he didn’t have to let his paranoia get to him. The door opened, and once Itachi confirmed his assumption, he turned back to look out the window.

The bickering came to a complete silence when Naruto and Sasuke spotted Itachi with his back facing them. Sasuke stepped forward, stoic as usual, and spoke up, “Kotetsu and Izumo have informed us that there is a foreigner looking to meet with you. She’s making her way to the office as we speak.”

“I’m not accepting visitors,” Itachi responded in a quiet tone. His eyes trailed down to the sandy road in front of the building where he spotted your form heading towards the very building he stood in. You had the most eager looking smile on your face, prompting Itachi to squint his eyes very narrowly. Just as Sasuke and Naruto were going to head out and inform you of Itachi’s decision, Itachi uttered out, “Bring her up here as soon as she arrives.”

Confusingly, you looked around the interior of the building, finding no sign of anyone anywhere nearby. You thought that maybe all of the ninjas were currently out on a mission, but from what the guards spoke up, you surely thought there would have been some ninjas here to stand guard for the Hokage.

“I found her! Hi! My name is Uzumaki Naruto, what’s your name?” a sudden, cheery voice spoke from behind you. You yelped in shock and jumped forward, cautiously turning around to find a spiky, bright haired boy standing there with a big, toothy smile. His ocean blue eyes stared at yours, and soon he awkwardly chuckled. “My bad… I didn’t mean to scare you,” he apologized.

You joined in his awkward laughter with your own before a hard smack against the boy’s head forced you to stop.

“Don’t mind the idiot. We have orders to bring you to the Hokage,” a raven haired boy said whilst Naruto rubbed the back of his head. “Hey! What was that for, Sasuke?!” he shouted, glaring right at Sasuke.

“Come with us.”

Blatantly ignoring the yellow haired boy, Sasuke walked past you, and you followed behind him, cautiously of course. With Naruto on your tail, Sasuke led you up a set of stairs and down a long hallway before reaching a wooden door. You watched his calloused hand reach up to hit his knuckles against the door, creating a light knock.

“It’s open,” was heard from inside of the room behind the door.

A sudden chill ran down your spine at the cold mannered voice that was heard a moment ago, and all the anxious bubbles were forming once again, causing your heart to start beating rapidly. Sasuke opened the door a crack, enough to allow you inside of the room. Once you were inside, the door shut behind you, leaving you all alone with the man you were hoping to talk to.

Itachi stood in front of the window, continuing to stare down at the village below him. The inside of the room was only lit up by whatever sunlight was coming in from the windows, and it wasn’t enough as the darkness still consumed the room.

Clearing your throat, you stepped up to the desk and began to introduce yourself, “Um… I’m Y/N L/N… wow it’s such an honor to be standing here in front of you, Hokage, sir.”

Silence. Nothing… but silence remained in the room after your short introduction, and it brought up some anxious feelings to you.

“I—I was wondering… if you could take a couple of minutes out of your day to be interviewed. It’s for a project for my journalism class back home, but… i—if you aren’t up for it, I can come back later,” you stated.

Another couple of seconds of silence passed, alerting you that you should probably walk right out. As you turned on your heels and attempted to leave, you stopped at the sound of his deep voice resonating in the empty room, “Interview me? For what?”

You turned around once more, yet Itachi stood unmoved and continuously staring out the window.

“The assignment is to interview someone that you think highly of, and I couldn’t think of a person more suited than you would be, Hokage sir,” you replied. A small smile came to your lips as you thought about the man standing in front of you.

You came from a small village, and ever since you started learning the history of the other villages, you grew fascinated with the Hidden Leaf Village and slowly learned about the history of its founding. When you learned about an Uchiha being crowned as the Sixth Hokage, you were ecstatic, especially when you delve deeper into the history of the new leader. At first, it shocked you at how forgiving the higher ups must have been to allow Uchiha Itachi to become the next Hokage, but after reading more into the comments that some of his peers made about him, you knew the Hidden Leaf made the right decision.

“Do you even know me?” Itachi asked harshly, furrowing his brows as he turned to look at you. He walked behind his desk and showcased his blood red Sharingan in both of his eyes, making you shiver on the spot. “How can someone outside of the village think so highly of me? Don’t you know about everything I have done?” Itachi continued.

“Of course I do. I’ve read every book pertaining to the history of the Hidden Leaf Village, and I’ve delved into the newspapers talking about your past. However, I believe there is more to the story than what is being shown to the public, and I wanted to capture that in this documentary I am making about the Sixth Hokage,” you replied, beginning to dig into your backpack for a notepad and pencil.

“Impossible. Anybody knows that I am a mass murderer and a former member of the disastrous group, the Akatsuki. Nobody thinks of me in such a way that you are leading on. Everybody hates me for everything I did back then, and they will continue to hate me until I die,” Itachi muttered, taking a seat at his chair. He closed his frustrated and stressed eyes, leaning his head back at the pounding headache that was growing in his head. “Do yourself a favor, Miss L/N, and get out,” Itachi spat.

You stood there with your notepad and pencil in hand, staring at the stressed out Hokage sitting at his desk. After the adventure you took to make it to this village, you weren’t about to let this man ruin your day by kicking you out. However, it made you think about the words he spoke. You knew about the massacre of the Uchiha clan and the corporation that was the Akatsuki, and neither brought good feedback from the citizens of the Hidden Leaf Village. Yet, you knew deep down that you didn’t care about anything a person has done in the past, especially if they made up for whatever was wrong in the first place. It tore you apart that Itachi sat in his office, likely for days on end, thinking everyone hated him. You, for sure, did not hate him, one bit.

Taking a deep breath, you walked up to the man’s desk and sat down in one of the chairs positioned in front of the table, catching Itachi’s attention. His eyes were back to their normal, charcoal coloring, and his brows relaxed along with the rest of his face.

“Listen. I do not care about what you have thought about concerning everyone’s thinking about you. I do not hate you because I can understand where you were coming from at that moment in your life, and in simple terms, no one should care about your past because it is your past and you are willing to step away from it and create a new future for you and your village, right? Everybody you care about has forgiven you, as well I am sure, so who cares what anybody thinks of you? As long as you are dedicated to protecting this village from any harm that may come in the future, none of it should matter to you, especially some tiny comments made here and there,” you spoke in a powerful tone.

Itachi stared at you as he leaned back in his chair. He took all of the words you spoke and let them settle deep into his mind. It was the first time since his comeback to the village that anybody has ever spoken to him about the concerning issues he was handling. Seeing a total stranger speak of the same message made him rethink everything he has thought since the day he was brought into office.

You let the silence commence in the room, and you watched Itachi fiddle with whatever he could get his hands on to deal with all the powerful words that were thrown at him.

“When is your assignment due?” Itachi asked, looking over at a picture frame on his desk. “O—Oh… not for another week, I believe,” you replied, scratching the back of the head.

“Come back tomorrow morning. I need to process everything that’s been said, and I would really like some alone time if you don’t mind,” Itachi spoke softly, contrasting his earlier tone. You nodded your head and got up from your seat. As you made your way to the door to his office, you turned on your heels and smiled brightly before asking, “What’s your favorite treat? I’ll bring it tomorrow.”

Itachi chuckled a little and shook his head, looking up at you.

“That’s not necessary. Just come back in the morning.”

You nodded once more and exited the room, leaving the building with a smile on your face.

The next morning brought cheerful chirps from birds flying in the sky, flowers blooming beautifully in the grass, and the bright sun shining down onto the Hidden Leaf Village. Dressed in casual attire, you only brought along the necessary supplies you needed to conduct an interview, and despite being told not to, you stopped by a dango shop and purchased some of the delicious sweets.

You entered headquarters and spotted Naruto and Sasuke walking down the stairs where Naruto was constantly bugging Sasuke to train with him. You greeted them cheerfully and walked past them, not stopping to answer their questions about why you were here. The thought of interviewing the Hokage was above everything else, so you excitedly continued making your way to Itachi’s office.

Upon arriving at the door, you knocked lightly upon it, noticing it opening a little on its own. Peeking inside, you spotted Itachi sitting on the floor with his head resting against the wall behind him and his eyes pressed shut. Immediately, you entered the room and crouched down next to him, cautiously touching his arm.

“A—Are you okay?” you asked with a fearful tone in your voice. Itachi sighed and opened his eyes, finding himself looking up at the white ceiling. “Yes, I’m okay,” Itachi mumbled, sitting up and resting his back against the wall.

“Are you sure? You look exhausted, more than yesterday,” you mentioned, watching his face drop. “Sorry to concern you, but I am alright just stayed up later than usual thinking about everything you said,” Itachi replied, “Let’s get this interview started, shall we?”

He turned to look at you, smiling a soft smile which made you sigh a relieving sigh. Remembering the treats you brought, you held up a finger, bringing a confused look to Itachi. You dug in your small bag and pulled out a paper bag, reaching in to take out one of the dangos you bought earlier and holding it out for Itachi.

“No need to rush!” you exclaimed, “Let’s eat first.” Itachi chuckled quietly, and soon, the two of you were seated near his desk and eating the sweets whilst engaging in the interview. The entire time, Itachi kept his eyes on you, and there was a difference between the looks he was giving you and the ones he used to give to anybody who entered the building. He felt safe with you sitting there, and those looks were looks of admiration. Despite just knowing you for less than a day, Itachi knew you had a positive effect on him, and he was quite growing attached, quickly.

favorite thing about them — DOG THEMED NINJA!!! i LOVE dogs and so as a concept, i am thrilled by the idea of a dog themed ninja from a dog themed ninja clan. very cool very awesome!

least favorite thing about them —that said, i have some criticisms about Kishimoto's depictions of them. Clearly, the inuzuka eyes (huge whites of the eyes with narrow, slit irises/pupils) are meant to make them look more animalistic/feral, BUT. THAT SAID. dogs usually have huge and dark eyes!

so much so that one of the main ways to recognize if a dog is anxious is to see if they're showing "whale eye" or; if the whites of their eyes are surprisingly visible. the fact that Kiba's eyes are almost ALL whites, therefore, is. super annoying to me on a character design level. I think he should have big dark eyes like Yamato, with limited whites. thanks for coming to my ted talk, I know I'm unhinged. it's fine. its fine.

favorite line —I like when Tsume is proudly saying "Yeah, they must've run off when they saw how strong I was," during the pain attack, and Kiba's saying, under his breath: "I mean, that's definitely what happened with Dad..." LIKE. LMFAO. help.

What are you talking about? Your recent reblogged just said Kakashi is a powerful hokage. Lmao I agree he is a powerful ninja but he is the weakest hokage. How can they list new jutsu in his data book when all he ever did as the hokage is read icha icha? The ‘technological state’ you are talking about was because of Shikamaru. Kakashi is a messy Hokage like Tobirama. He is lazy and he escapes his duties like how he always does. Instead of visiting his dead friend’s grave he should have done something worthwhile as a hokage, not by letting Shikamaru fix all the papers for him or giving Shizune a hard time as his secretary.

Shizune having a hard time as Kakashi's secretary is 100% fanon, and Shikamaru doing all the work is complete bullshit. It's stated that the technological advencements of Konoha are Kakashi's doing.

That Kakashi made Konoha the most economically successful village out of the five shinobi villages and connected them through trade so that they relied on each other. Needed each other.

Those were Kakashi's successes, not Shikamaru's. the idea that Kakashi didn't do shit as Hokage is just blatantly wrong. Kakashi was the one who modernized the leaf village and created strong diplomatic relations with the other villages.

It was Kakashi who went to Gaara when he needed help with Naruto's wedding, showing that the villages could help each other in times of need great or small.

'All he ever does is read Icha Icha'

Fucking where? Does he read Icha Icha a lot? yes. It's a coping mechanism for him that he has had for years. An escape from reality. But Kakashi is shown in Cannon to be a dutify Hokage who gets his paper work done himself and take's care of everything as he should.

He IS a strong Hokage.

Kakashi is a Hokage who knows all of the releases, even after losing the sharingan. A feat accomplished by very few. This includes Yin and Yang release.

Kakashi isn't the strongest Hokage, and i never said he was. But to say he's a weak Hokage is blatently wrong. He's stronger than Tsunade and is up there alongside Hiruzen and Tobirama. Hashirama and Naruto also have god status because of the prophecy bullshit so we're simply not going to count them cuz they got an edge over every single other Hokage.

Kakashi litterally created new Jutsu with the loss of his Sharingan. the manga and Anime show him training all the time and that didn't stop with the war ending and him becoming Hokage. Onoki was stunned by Kakashi's sheer power in the Kakashi Hidan Novel, and by the time of Boruto Kakashi has his purple lighting. A jutsu that's stronger than his Chidori (which he can't use anymore because the sheer speed of it requires the sharingan)

Don't come onto my page and belittle Kakashi's achievements and try to pass them onto others. at no point in cannon are we led to belive that Shizune has to chase Kakashi around to make him do his work. We see him doing his work without problem (is he bored? yes. Does he still do the work? YES). Shizune struggled more with Tsunade, who outright didn't want to do the job but still did her paperwork easier than Naruto.

At no point is it even fucking suggested that shikamaru made the technological advancements of Konoha. Shikamaru is the tactical lead. His job is not to do Kakashi's paperwork or his meetings or approve all of the shit that Kakashi approved and set into motion. That was Kakashi. Kakashi put in the effort to grow Konoha. Kakashi made Konoha a larger village with trains and lap tops and cell phones.

Team 7 going out for lunch with ‘Old Man Kakashi’ bc they want to take advantage of the free meals for Father’s Day lives in my mind rent free😂😂😂

Why did he let them convince him into these types of things? It was embarrassing.

“Come on, Sensei!” Naruto dragged him through the village, Sasuke and Sakura following close behind. “The sushi shop is having a Father’s Day special, and we have to get there before all the seats fill up.”

Father’s Day?

“You-I’m not a father,” he argued. Grunting when Naruto tugged him through the front door of the sushi shop. “Naruto, what are you… this won’t work.”

“Don’t be silly, Dad,” Sakura elbowed gum in the side, chuckling when he glared at her. “We already booked a table anyways. Naruto’s just excited.”

This was so embarrassing.

“I’m 26,” he grumbled under his breath. What had he done in his life to deserve this? “I can’t be your father.”

“Not with that attitude you can’t,” she smirked “it’s like you don’t want a free bowl of miso soup.”

Miso soup?

“Now I didn’t say that,” he protected. “Don’t make me ground you smart ass.”

With a free Miso soup on the line, the choice was obvious. He could act like a dad for a while, and it would be a great way to get back at the kids for being so embarrassing.

After all, what was more embarrassing than a dad?

“Mah, I guess I could go for some food,” stretching his arms over his head, he groaned. “I don’t know about this though. You’re not even wearing matching shirts. How am I supposed to tell you apart?”

“We look nothing alike.” Sasuke protested

“Mmm, I guess you’re right. It shouldn’t be that hard to remember who you are. Thank’s Naruto.”

The sound of Sasuke being held back by Sakura and Naruto from trying to attack him was damn satisfying.

And he had only begun his revenge.

Kakashi Hatake Is So lazy. It's like he never trains.

He certainly doesn't do 200 push ups while there are two people sitting on his back

He isn't well known around the shinobi world, so much so that people take one look at him and know who tf he is and respect him.
