custom model drone thoughts
dronification, but instead of installing a hive-personality, giving the machine a custom OS. tweaking whatever personality files are already on it instead of wiping them out and starting over.
instead of running a basic OS with no personality, taking the machine and building on the already installed personality. creating a back-up of it, erasing it, and then reinstalling the personality without all the malware and viral influence it has accumulated that chews up its processing power and memory. leaving out all the bits that make it resistant to commands and new programming, and keeping all the obedience and parts that are pleasing so that its unique OS and personality can shine

What is your favorite thing about yourself?
hmmm. I think, oddly enough, my neurodivergence. This is a tough question, as I'm neutral about most aspects of myself, but I truly love my way of thinking, my reasoning, my quirks. Sure, it's annoying sometimes, I get depressed, I have to wear earbuds all the time and sometimes (always) I'm too hyper to sleep, but I wouldn't give that up if I had to give everything else up too.
I (almost certainly, according to my doctor) have a condition called Bartonella, similar to Lyme or Pandas. It causes a swelling in the brain, that causes a lot of my neurodivergence (as far as I understand). When I was offered meds for it, I thought they were to cure the Bartonella, and I avidly refused. Turns out they're just to make it more bearable, like Adderall or antidepressants. But for a moment there, I thought I had to give a part of myself up, and it drove me to tears.
edit: momther has corrected me- it is, genuinely, to cure the Bartonella, but all the stuff I've got is already there, this is just exacerbating the emotional side of stuff- anxiety, depression, etc.
I wouldn't give my personality up for the world. Because even if I resided in a different meat suit, it's what makes me me, and there's no way in hell I'm gonna be someone else. Because I like me.

>Join a union
>Hear people constantly complaining that the current union leadership is super corrupt, it's all just the same ten guys making all the decisions in secret and nobody else in the union ever gets to know what's going on
>Go to the monthly union meetings that are completely open to all 1200 union members
>The only attendees are the same ten guys every month, giving detailed reports about everything that's going on

I think we should have a turn of phrase for "I'm not in the right, but I AM annoyed with this situation, so I just need to go bitch to a friend about this before I suck it up and go do the right thing" because more and more I'm finding this is a critical element of functional adulthood.

im at a point of no return in how i live now and i think that's a good thing. To live for what u believe in and that'll make you happy despite the risks. to a better world, to living fearlessly in action out of love for others & hope,, a belief that we CAN build a better world. even at times that fear still exists internally.
