this is my contribution to @tetzoro 's summer olympics collab! this is so late >.< but I can't wait to go look through all the other fics people have written for the collab!!
fem!reader, no physical descriptions. fluff fluff fluff (of course). suna and aran can't stand atsumu's antics, but what else is new? atsumu misses you and he makes it everyone else's problem.
Tumblr media
atsumu has been staring at his phone for twenty minutes.
suna makes note of this from where he's seated in the tiny living area of their shared olympic village apartment. it irritates suna, actually, because for someone who made a such big deal of their room assignments and got a bit weepy over how it reminded him of their high school days, atsumu couldn't seem to care less about his roommates right now.
aran (the third occupant of their dorm) appears in the doorway and glances between his two juniors. "is he still on that thing?" he asks, seemingly surprised by this.
suna shrugs and snaps a picture of the blonde when he smiles at his phone, quickly sending it to osamu with a message of how much of a dork his twin is.
leave him be
he replies, making suna's eyebrow raise. osamu coming to his defence? that's new.
he's got separation issues when it comes to her, I swear. he's like a puppy.
there it is. he snorts and puts his phone away, throwing a pillow at atsumu. the setter just uses it as an arm rest and continues to ignore them.
"hey, loverboy," aran calls and finally gets his attention. "we're heading down to get some lunch, ya coming?"
atsumu's eyes widen a bit. "it's that late already? yeah, I'll be down in a minute, save me a spot."
the other two look at each other knowingly and shut the door behind them.
now normally atsumu wouldn't be so glued to his screen on the first day of the olympics, but then again- last time around they were in tokyo and his girlfriend was no more than a couple hours away at any given time.
this year, he's in paris and about a 13 hour flight away with a 7 hour time difference from his fiancée. it would still be manageable for him, of course- he's not as clingy as you or his brother make him out to be, he swears- if not for the fact that your boss denied your time off and you wouldn't be in attendance at any of his games.
as soon as he's alone, he's facetiming you and the ache of not being near you is lessened by the bright smile you pop up on his screen with.
"hi 'tsum, how's it going over there?" you're cuddled up on the couch with a blanket.
he shrugs. "there's no AC. the beds are cardboard again. but I'm rooming with rin and aran, so that's nice."
"not sakusa and meian? I thought the plan was to keep the ones who played on the same league team pre-olympics in the same room?"
he shakes his head. "we got to make room requests this time. he's rooming with ushijima this time around."
you giggle and his mind goes a little fuzzy. "I'm sure after what happened in tokyo, he'd be more than happy to be rooming with anyone other than you."
atsumu rolls his eyes. "he made it seem worse than it was. we didn't even get into that much trouble, I mean, what's a little scolding from our managers?"
you raise an eyebrow. "you almost caused the entire village to evacuate."
"anyway," he transitions to another topic before he can be reminded of that night. "what are your plans for the rest the night?"
you hum thoughtfully. "I dunno, maybe I'll watch a movie... maybe I'll rewatch that clip of you almost tripping during the opening ceremonies..." your lips stretch into a playful grin as you tease him for his blunder.
"HEY, barely anyone noticed!"
you snort. "if by barely anyone, you mean everyone watching then sure, baby. oh, what time is it for you?"
he lets your comment slide for now and addresses your question instead. "just after noon, why?"
"have you eaten yet?"
"was just about to," he shrugs.
you narrow your eyes. “miya atsumu, you’d better not be skipping lunch just to talk to me.”
he’s unable keep the guilty expression off his face when you hit him with that tone. “I wasn’t-”
“don’t even think about lying to me. as soon as I hang up you’re going to go meet your teammates for lunch and make some new friends.”
he pouts, but his heart warms at the idea that you still want to take care of him all the way across the world. although he is a little offended you think he needs to make friends. “ya sound like my ma.”
“for good reason! go eat, baby, you need to stay strong and healthy for your games. plus I’d feel so guilty if you missed out on all the fun stuff with your teammates because of me.”
he sighs, finally letting himself give into his hunger and agreeing with you. you say your goodbyes and he makes his way down to the cafeteria.
the days pass and while he’s not glued to his phone at all hours of the day anymore (thanks to practices starting up again on the olympic courts), his teammates often catch him snapping as many pictures as he can, no doubt to share them with you.
they don’t know how many texts you’ve received about how amazing the chocolate muffins are, but if it’s anywhere near the number of times they’ve had to hear him mention it in a day, they feel sorry for you.
and as the day of their first game grows closer, suna and aran can tell atsumu is more on edge than usual. he’s acting like he did in high school again, and they know it’s because he’s antsy about not having his fiancée in the stands for the first time in a while.
they’ve seen him double, triple and quadruple check the time zones to make sure he didn’t misread it. “she’ll probably be asleep…” he said when aran asked him about it one night.
they were getting a bit worried. obviously they know him well enough to understand that he’ll pull himself together in time for the game- he’d never let his feelings compromise his plays- but they’d much rather play alongside him in a good mood than a bad one.
but the problem seems to fix itself when he lights up along with his phone screen just before the game begins. suna looks over the setter’s shoulder to see a picture of you, cuddled up on the couch with your dog. your cheek has a small japanese flag painted on, and you’re wearing his MSBY jersey. it must be extremely late for you, but you’re smiling wide and holding up half a heart with your hand.
underneath the picture you sent a message wishing him luck and telling him how proud you are of him, telling him to play his absolute best.
and suna misses what your next message says, but he gets a pretty good idea based on how red atsumu’s ears get. he looks over at aran with a nod and the former inarizaki players silently thank you for your actions.
atsumu definitely wouldn’t be stepping onto the court in a bad mood now.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I feel like this could’ve been better, and it definitely didn’t turn out how I originally wanted, but I’m still happy with how it turned out :3 hope u enjoyed !!
ty again to aims for hosting this collab and allowing me to join!!!
New Year's
Hardersson x Child!Reader
Part of The Big Adventures Universe
Summary: You don't want to sleep
Tumblr media
"Come on," Magda groans as you duck under her arm again, sprinting from the living room back into the kitchen," Princesse, let's not play these games."
You're freshly clean, all nice and washed from your bath - though it was debatable if it was truly just your bath because you splashed so much that Magda got soaked too. You can't seem to stop moving.
Magda hasn't even fully got your pyjamas on so you're running around with just your bottoms and no top. You skirt around the table when she approaches and then climb under it when she makes to grab you.
It's a bit embarrassing for her, being outsmarted and outpaced by her under five-year-old. It's even more embarrassing when she looks at the clock and realises Pernille will be home in a few minutes and she's yet to get you all ready for bed like she promised she would.
It's New Year's Eve tonight and Magda and Pernille wanted to get you all tucked up in bed long before any fireworks went off so you would hopefully sleep through it all.
"Can't catch me, Morsa!" You cheer as you duck past her again and scamper off down the hallway.
"But I can!"
You're snatched up into Momma's arms before you even register that she's gotten home. She pulls you up onto her hip and blows a raspberry on your belly.
"You're shirtless!" Momma declares with a laugh," Where's your shirt?"
You give her an innocent look. "Don't know."
"You don't know?" She asks, walking you straight to Morsa, who's waving your shirt at you.
"Morsa!" You groan, suddenly going limp as if that will weaken Momma's grip and allow your daring escape. "I don't want my shirt!"
"Too bad," Momma says," Pyjamas fully on and then bedtime snuggles."
After Morsa wrestles you into your sleep shirt (a big Frido Sweden jersey that your moster gave you when she last visited), she falls back onto the sofa and waits for Momma to bring you over for your bedtime cuddles.
You try to escape but Momma doesn't let you, squishing you between her and Morsa.
"No! No snuggles!"
"Why?" Momma asks," Why no cuddles?"
"Cuddles mean bed!" You complain," I don't want bed!"
"You love bed," Morsa says," And you love night time snuggles."
It's true. She's right. You love snuggles and bedtime but not tonight.
"No!" You declare," Erin said-"
Momma groans good-naturedly. "What has Erin told you now? Is it like the sea thing? Princesse, not everything Erin tells you is true."
You ignore her. "Erin said that it's New Year's Eve and that you've gotta stay up until it's New Year's Day!"
Inwardly, Magda swears as she realises how painful this night is going to be. You can be pretty stubborn when you want to be and she just knows that you won't go down without a fight.
"Okay," Pernille says, much to Magda's horror," You can stay up."
You narrow your eyes at Pernille. "I can?"
"You can."
You immediately scamper off back to your room to grab some of your toys.
"Pernille!" Magda hisses," Why did you say that? We'll never get her to bed!"
"We will." Pernille's confidence is admirable. "She'll crash soon."
Magda watches as you run around with your toys and feels her hope dwindling.
By ten, Pernille's hope dwindles too and she actively begins trying to tire you out. She puts on music and makes you dance with Magda (who almost ends up falling asleep on the sofa), she sits you down and reads story after story after story to you for wind down time. She even manages to trick you into getting your usual pre-bed snuggles but it doesn't help like usual.
"Alright," Magda says eventually after maybe half an hour of a restless nap," I'm turning the tv off."
You whip your head toward her, abandoning the little fort you're trying to make out of the pillows and blankets Momma had tried to use to get you to feel sleepy.
"No!" You say," Millie said-"
Momma groans loudly at that, burying her face in the arm of the sofa.
You give her a strange look before continuing. "Millie said that there's fireworks on the tv when it becomes New Year's Day. Want to watch it."
"Manners, princesse." Momma's voice is slightly muffled but still stern.
"Want to watch it, please." You draw out the last word just to make a point.
Morsa crouches in front of you, pulling you out from your fort. "Alright," She says," Here's the deal. You clean up everything now, take down your fort, put your toys away and..."
"And?"
"And you can come up to the Big Bed."
"Want to watch the fireworks."
"We'll put it on the tv in our room but you have to get everything nice and tidy now."
"Promise?"
She interlocks your pinkies. "Promise."
Much with the same energy as earlier, you zoom around the house. Your fort is packed away in record time and your toys are returned to your room.
In that time, Pernille's gotten over her own exhaustion to head into the kitchen to make you your special sleepytime milk. She doesn't make it often (mainly because buying dried lavender is a pain to find) but it always makes you happy when she does and it sends you right to sleep.
"We should have done this earlier," Magda says as she holds Pernille by the hips and rests her head against her partner's back," I love her but she's so exhausting."
"She's stubborn," Pernille corrects," Like you."
Magda ignores the teasing jab in favour of saying," When did we get so old? We used to stay up until midnight all the time."
"We had a baby," Pernille laughs as she adds some honey to the lavender and milk mix, pouring it all into a sippy cup that you had probably outgrown but refused to get rid of.
"Here comes the baby," Magda mutters when she hears the familiar pitter-patter of your running feet. "Have you put everything away?"
You nod. "Time for the fireworks and the Big Bed?"
"That's right. Take your drink with you."
You dutifully take your sippy cup and run off with it.
"Whatever you're planning," Pernille says," It better work because if she's too keyed up to sleep tonight, it's on your head."
Magda has a plan though so Pernille's threat means nothing to her.
She switches on the tv in their room but also turns the light off. She puts the volume on low and makes sure you're nice and settled between her and Pernille.
"Have a drink," She says as she turns on the countdown to New Year's Day," Come on, princesse. You've been playing for a long time now. Have a sip. Momma will play with your hair if you want."
Pernille gives Magda a look of realisation and slowly cards her fingers through your tresses, scratching at your head every so often to make you feel all floaty and boneless.
You yawn a few times and your eyes slip shut even more but you always catch yourself.
Momma pulls you into her chest the later it gets, moving you from sitting upright to lying down.
It makes you feel a little sleepier and you just shut your eyes for a little bit before the fireworks.
The loud countdown from the tv sounds a little blurry in your ears and even Morsa's little chuckles sound floaty and far away.
"I think she's asleep," She says.
"Right on twelve," Momma replies.
You have to force your eyes open as what Sam told you comes to mind. You still feel heavy with sleep as you move around. "Have to...Have to..." Your head lulls a little bit before you force it up again. "Kisses."
You press a kiss to Momma's cheek and then Morsa's.
"Have to do New Year's kisses," You explain as you get comfortable on Momma's chest again," Have to. Sam says so."
You're drifting off again, completely exhausted and limp, as you feel yourself being moved a bit further up and then the two pairs of lips brushing against both of your cheeks.
You smile.
Drivers while their s/o studies
Just a mini series I felt like doing. : )
Charles Leclerc
Tumblr media
Charles smiled as he entered the room, holding a tray with snacks and coffee for Y/n who had been sitting at her desk since that morning. "Hello mom cœur, I thought you might need a little pick-me-up while you work." He said, placing the tray on the table. Y/n looked up from her laptop, a grateful smile forming. "Oh what would I do without you?" She said as she held his face and peppered soft kisses onto it as he emptied the tray onto the desk. "Cry, maybe." He joked.
Charles sat down beside her and began eating a protein bar before Y/n continued on typing. "How's it going anyway?" he asked, genuinely interested. "It's a bit overwhelming, but I'll manage. Your snacks will definitely help." She replied, taking a sip of the coffee. Charles chuckled. "I believe in you. I'll leave you to it for a bit, though. I'm going to meet Lorenzo and Arthur in the gym. You know how it is."
Y/n nodde. "Yeah, go ahead. I'll be here when you get back." He gave her a quick kiss on the forehead before heading out. "Take breaks, okay? Don't overwork yourself." He reminded her. "Of course, love. Have fun and give them my best!" As he left, Y/n couldn't help but smile. The small gestures made studying a lot more enjoyable, and she felt lucky to have Charles by her side.
Max Verstappen
Tumblr media
Max woke up to an empty bed, the confusion evident on his face. Rubbing his eyes, he ventured into the living room, where he found Y/n engrossed in her laptop. Y/n spotted him from the corner of her eye and smiled at his sleepy face. "Morning, sleepyhead. Slept well?" She teased, looking up from her work. Max chuckled, and walked over to her. "Yeah, until I realized I was all alone." He placed a kiss atop of her head and peered over her shoulder. "What are you up to?"
"Got an assignment to finish, but you can keep me company." She suggested with a smile. Max raised an eyebrow. "Company? I was expecting a romantic morning, not a work session." Y/n laughed, "Well, I can't help it. University." He rolled his eyes. "I told you, you should have just gave in to being a stay-at-home girlfriend and now here we are with you leaving me I'm bed to work." Y/n chuckled at the light hearted joke. "Well if you loved me you would sit right here with me and keep me company, like a good temporary stay-at-home boyfriend?" Undeterred, Max decided to make the best of the situation. "Fine, but how about some breakfast first? I'll cook."
As Max prepared breakfast, they bantered back and forth, the kitchen filled with laughter. Sitting down on the sofa with their plates, Max linked his phone to the TV and began watching his race upcoming debrief that Red Bull had sent him. Y/n glanced at the screen every so often, finding it unbelievably distracting and whilst he had to watch it for work, why couldn't he just watch it on his phone?"Mind turning that off? I need to focus." Max pouted playfully. "Aw, come on. It's just background noise." She shook her head, "No, it's distracting. I need to concentrate."
A minor disagreement ensued, but Max, ever the compromiser, reached a resolution. "Fine, wear these," he said, handing her a pair of headphones. "You study, I watch my debrief." Y/n huffed, taking the headphones, "Deal. Just don't complain if I fail my exam because of this." Max grinned. "Deal, as long as you promise we actually so something romantic later on." Y/n grinned and connected her headphones to the laptop and began playing her music.
Lando Norris
Tumblr media
Lando was deep into his online stream, enthusiastically commentating on his latest race in the virtual world. Meanwhile, Y/n diligently studied in the living room, trying to concentrate despite the growing noise. At first, it was fine because he only had Max on a voice call and then they started playing the F1 games and inviting drivers, and it all went to chaos.
The usual loudness was just about starting to sound normal until she heard a loud screeching from the streaming room. Y/n finally reached her limit. She threw her laptop to the side and stormed into the streaming room, wearing a bitter expression. Lando turned, smiling before the smile turned into a grim look. He...was...fucked. "Hi babe." He said quietly. "Lando, could you please keep it down a bit? I'm trying to study out here." She said calmly. She didn't want fans making up rumours about an argument.
Lando, still wearing his headset, looked guilty. "I will try, but Max is-" She cut him off. "Lando, you will be quiet. I cannot fail these exams. I just need you to be quiet. Understood?" He nodded. "I'm sorry, babe. I got carried away. I'll tone it down." The serious expression turned to a light hearted smile, before she looked to the computer, smiled and waved to greet the chat, before leaving.
Lando continued on playing, listening to the chaos on the call and not acting up. But the guilt lingered, and he suddenly had to leave the stream momentarily. "Hey, guys? I'll be right back. Just need to grab a drink, I'll be back in a sec. Promise." He announced to his fellow drivers and viewers before leaving the room. He rushed to the kitchen, returning to the living room with a peace offering of snacks and energy drinks for his girlfriend who sat on her bean bag with her study sheets sprawled across the coffee table. She looked up quickly before looking back to her work and continuing on typing. "I'm really sorry, Y/n. Here, I got you some goodies. Let me make it up to you." Lando said, kneeling down beside her and leaving a small plate of biscuits and sweets beside her. She looked between the plate and Lando, seeing the sincerity in his expression before she chuckled, accepting the snacks. "You're lucky you're cute when you're sorry. Just try to keep it down, okay?"
"Okay, I promise." He said, pecking her cheek and running back to the livestream with his can of Monster. Back in the streaming room, Lando continued his broadcast. He scrolled through the chat, noticing a comment from Y/n.
Thanks for the biccies, lovey <3 Good luck with your stream!
His fans erupted in supportive comments, finding the situation adorable. Lando couldn't help but smile, covering his face from how hard he was blushing. "You better leave me some 9f them biscuits, Y/n." Lando said into the camera. "Let's get back to the race, shall we?" The stream continued, with a more considerate Lando and a grateful Y/n watching from the sidelines.
Carlos Sainz Jr.
Tumblr media
As the creatures and people of Madrid lay asleep in their beds, Y/n sat on her laptop working away beside her boyfriend who had just come back from a race weekend on the other side of the globe. Carlos stirred in his sleep, as the soft glow of Y/n's laptop pierced the darkness. "What are you doing?" He mumbled, rubbing his eyes. Y/n glanced at him, her fingers dancing across the keyboard. "Sorry, babe. Got a deadline. Can't sleep." He sighed, and turned his back so he would be able to get even a glimpse of sleep. "Alright, just keep it down, please." He whispered. "Yes sir, Mr Sainz." She yawns, still typing.
In the morning, Carlos awoke to Y/n still typing away in their bed, exhaustion evident in her eyes. She got a lot of work done and had work in three hours. "Morning." He whispered, kissing her hand before sitting up. "Morning. Did you sleep alright?" Y/n asked. "Other than that one time you woke me, yes. Did you sleep at all?" Carlos asked. Y/n shook her head. "You should get some sleep before work. Finish this when you get home, yeah?" Y/n sighed in defeat. She wouldn't be able to go to work if she was this tired. Maybe a two hour sleep wouldn't hurt? " Carlos nodded, taking her laptop, placing it on the bedside table and tucking her into bed, . "You need to rest." He insisted. "I will wake you before work, mi amor." She reassured her, kissing her hair and letting her fall asleep.
When Y/n awoke, she looked out to see that the sun was awfully bright for 8am. Then she turned and saw Carlos walking into the room with a tray of coffee and toast. "What are you doing?" Y/n asked, sitting up. Carlos paused and looked at her. "Breakfast?" He replied in a question. Y/n looked at her phone, her eyes wide. "Oh my god! It's half past 11. I'm so fucking late!" She said. "No you aren't." Carlos replied, placing the tray on his locker. "I had work two hours ago!" She protested.
Carlos shook his head. "I called your boss, said you were sick." Y/n's eyes widened to what he had said. "Why'd you do that?" She asked. "Because you needed it." He replied, pulling the duvet over them and putting his arm around Y/n. "Carlos, I cant-" He cut her off. "Should we watch Berlín? It's meant to be really good." He said, flicking through the Netflix. "Babe. I'm serious. I need to go to work." She said. "And I have said before; you could quit work and I'll take care of you. You won't quit but I am still gonna take care of you. Now stay with me in bed and help me pick a series for us to watch."
She stopped complaining and lay in his arms. "Yeah. Berlín sounds good." She mumbled quietly. "Good, now here's some toast."
George Russell
Tumblr media
George had brought Y/n to race weekends before, but this time, she found herself confined to the team's hospitality area, engrossed in her upcoming exams. She looked up to the TV evey so often to see how her boyfriend was doing before turning her attention back to her laptop. Like an angel sent, George decided to check in on her in between sessions, finding her buried in textbooks and notes.
"Hey, how's it going?" he asked, pressing a kiss onto her head and leaning on the table. Y/n looked up, tired but determined. "Just trying to survive this study session. Well done on topping the session by the way." George grinned. "It's only the second practise. I think we know what strategy we're going for in qualifying though." He chuckled. "Have you eaten?" Y/n thinks for a moment and shakes her head. "You do know, you need to eat too."
She sighed, burying her head in her hands from exhaustion. "I know, I just lost track of time. Can you grab me something?" George smiled. "Of course." He replied, leaving momentarily and heading to the barista bar. He returned moments later with a croissant and a latte, placing them in front of her. "Fuel for the brain." he said with a smile. Y/n looked up at him appreciatively, "You're my hero, Mr Russell. Thank you so much."
"No problem. I know how important these exams are for you." He replied, sitting beside her. As she sipped the latte and nibbled on the croissant, George and her began talking. "Anything I can help with? Maybe a quick break to clear your mind?" Y/n smiled. "You being here is already a huge help. But maybe a motivational speech wouldn't hurt."
"Im not doing motivational speeches." They both burst into laughter, lightening the mood in the cozy hospitality space. George wrapped his arm around Y/n, offering comfort and support. "You're the best distraction," she admitted, leaning into him. He pressed a kiss to her forehead. "And you're the best thing that ever happened to me."
Lance Stroll
Tumblr media
Lance sighed as he opened the door to his bedroom after his return from the gym to find Y/n looking a bit frustrated. He arched a brow as he sipped from his water bottle and decided to approach her, concern evident in his eyes. "What's wrong, babe?" He asked, sitting down beside her. She sighed. "I'm not sure, but I just can't study. Maybe it's just because of how different it is from studying in my office back home." Lance thought for a moment."How about you use my office? It's quiet, and you'll have all the space you need." He suggested. "Oh no, I couldn't." She replied. "No, seriously. I never use it anyway."
Y/n's face lit up with gratitude as Lance led her to his office. The room was filled with shelves displaying Lance's collection of racing helmets and trophies. The large floor-to-ceiling window revealed a breathtaking snowy landscape of their estate. "This is perfect." Y/n whispered, finding the desk facing the wonderous view. Lance smiled, happy to help her. "If you need me just call. I'm just gonna hit the shower." He said, pressing a kiss onto her cheek. "Thank you, babe." She grinned, setting her stuff down. "Anytime." He shot back before leaving and making his way to his bathroom to shower.
Y/n had gotten a lot done since she sat down. The view was a perfect distraction but not too distracting that she couldn't focus. If anything, it was there to just calm her down before getting right back to it. An hour passed, and Lance returned with snacks, finding Y/n engrossed in her studies. "Hey, how are you getting on?" He asked, peering through the door. "Doing good, Lancelot. I am doing good." She smiled, still jotting down some notes. He walked in with a tray of snacks. In between him showering and him walking around the kitchen, he decided Y/n needed to take a break and made up a snack tray to bring her.
"Need a study break?" he asked, handing her a twix. Y/n grinned, "Definitely. Thanks for this, Lance. This office is amazing." Lance chuckled, "Well, it's only fair you get a taste of my world too. Plus, I like having you happy." As they enjoyed their snacks, the conversation turned from how everyone in the house has an office to the trophies and helmets on the walls.
"You know-" Lance began, taking down his Balu trophy from back in 2017. "This one's from my first podium. I was so excited that day." Y/n smiled as she sipped her cola. "I can see why. You've got an impressive collection of trophies, Lancey." He looked at her warmly. "But none of them compare to having my trophy girlfriend. I worked my ass off to even get you on a date." Y/n laughed. "I'm serious! You kept saying no!"
"You should've taken the hint." Y/n replied. "Then who would be sat in this office?" Lance asked. "I don't know. One of those weird models that throw themselves at you, I guess." She joked. "Yeah, but I prefer you." Lance said. There grew a comfortable silence before Lamce stood up, collecting the wrappers off the snacks and putting them back onto the tray. "I guess it's time for you to get back to studying." Lance said. "Thank you for the company." Y/n smiled as Lamce leaned down to give her a kiss. "How about we watch a movie later and order takeout? Sound good?" Lance suggested. Y/n nodded. You really are a dream."
Kuroo Tetsurou x reader
"Mori says we need to find some managers." Himari says on the way to school.
You were originally supposed to try and find some before the third years left last season, but you continued to put it off.
"Saori did stats the whole game and Mori wanted to play her for a few rallies." She goes on.
"I know," You sigh, "I'll try looking today during lunch and break." A comfortable silence fell upon the two of you.
Himari speaks up after a few minutes of silence. "Do you think Saori is a good setter?"
You were still getting to know the first years, but you knew they all had talent. "Yeah she is." You say.
"Do you think Mori would want to run a 6-2?" Himari asks, you're starting to catch on that she's a little worried about losing her spot. In the previous years there were no other setters on her level for her to compete with. This is new.
"Don't get all worried," You nudge her, "You're the best setter around, you have experience, and you have chemistry with the team."
"How can I not worry." She chews the inside of her cheek.
You give her a look, "Saori is a great setter, but she's a first-year so she's gonna be more prone to making mistakes. Plus coach can't sit her out every single game. That's her next setter when we leave."
"You're right, she's gonna need to get experience." Himari says, kicking a rock in front of her.
"Let's not worry about playing time, we get to play volleyball and go to all of these tournaments and make more memories." You cheer her up. "Let's stay after practice today, we can work on some combos."
"Thanks, Y/n." She smiles, "I feel a little better now." The school comes into view and the campus is filled with students laughing and enjoying the sunlight.
During lunch you quickly ate and went on your way to find some students who weren't in a club. The girls volleyball team was a bit famous, winning back to back gave you a name.
There were little whispers around as you entered a classroom, trying to find your teammate. "Aiko!" You get her attention and she turns at the call of her name.
"Hey captain, what's up?" She says, wiping her mouth with a napkin.
"Do you know of any boys who aren't in a club yet? I'm trying to find a manager." You explain.
She thinks for a moment, "Not that I know of, I'm sorry." She apologizes for not being able to help you.
"It's okay." You brush off. You put up some flyers, even handing the teachers some to pass out to any students they knew weren't in a club. You end up in the first-year hallway, looking for a blonde middle.
"Hey, Y/n." Mei smiles, "Is everything alright?"
"Everything's fine," You explain to her the situation and stand in front of her desk, "Do you happen to know anyone?"
She looks around the room, but ends up shaking her head. "I can't think of anyone, but I can take some of those flyers and applications." She points to your hands.
"Really? Thank you so much." You hand her a couple and begin to walk back to your class, there were about 5 minutes left. You weren't really paying attention to where you were going, as you turned the corner you were met with a hard surface. You realized you had accidentally bumped into someone. "I'm so sorry—"
"Oh hey." Kuroo smiles, "What're you doing here?" He looks confused.
"I could ask you the same thing." You raise an eyebrow.
He lets out an airy laugh, "I was going to give this to Lev, but I'll have to wait since someone rudely bumped into me."
"I said I was sorry!" Your eyes widen as he now follows you back to the third-year hallway.
"Just kidding." He rolls his eyes, "What're those?" He motions to the applications in your hand.
"I'm trying to find a manager for my team, we need someone to take stats." You explain, "I was in the other halls to find students who weren't in a club yet."
"Ahh," He nods, "Any luck?"
"No." You rub your forehead. "Coach is gonna bug me about it for not doing this sooner." You chuckle.
"At least we have an assistant coach, why doesn't she have one?" He found it a little weird.
"We keep telling her, but she likes to work alone." You roll your eyes at her stubbornness. "I'll see you later." You wave to him as you enter your class, the bell had rung and Kuroo was still walking, he was a little late, it made Mori raise her eyebrow in suspicion.
She let it slide since it was his first time ever, she continued on with the lesson as normal. For the remainder of the school day, your teacher had given a group assignment.
"Hey Kai," You get the boys attention, "Do you wanna work with us?"
He smiles, "Sure." Picking up his paper and pencil and moving closer.
"Hey Himari." He greets.
"Hey." She smiles nervously, you raise your eyebrow at her. Knowing you'd bring this up to her later.
"I already started this part," He shows his paper to the two of you. The assignment was fairly easy, it was meant to take up the rest of the day, but you had all finished it with a bit of spare time.
Your teacher allowed you guys to do whatever as long as it didn't disrupt the other students who were still working, Himari was digging in her bag for something, she gets your attention as she finds it.
"Mori gave me the stats, if you wanna look." She pushes the iPad towards you, already knowing you'd take it.
You thank her and opened it to look at your hitting first, you knew you hit well that game, so it wasn't a worry for you. You checked your passing next, then you realized that the hitting wasn't as effective as it was when you were in front, but it picked back up again when you got to the net.
A good starting lineup has the most effective hitting, passing, and serving first, then it goes down towards the end of a rotation. You'd bring this up to coach.
You notice Kai conversing with Himari, she seemed to have eased her nerves a bit and was more comfortable talking to him. You had no idea she had a thing for him, it made you happy to be able to bug her about it.
You began to check some other averages as well, mostly just getting a feel for how the first lineup of the season was going. Time went by quickly, the bell rang and it surprised you.
"We'll see you later." Himari waved to Kai and he smiled and returned the wave. You quickly say bye to him, trying to keep up with Himari.
"Aw you left so quickly." You pout as you caught up.
She turns her head quickly towards you, "It's not like that."
"I didn't bring him up, now I know you like him." You wink and she groans, covering her quickly reddening face.
"I just want to be friends with him." She states.
"Uh huh, that's why you're blushing and being nervous around him." You say back, opening the club room. "This is payback."
"For what?" She gasps sarcastically and the two of you giggle.
A bead of sweat slowly falls down your face, you wipe it as you continue to listen to your coach talk about the practice match. You fiddle with a stray string on your knee pad, bored. You had already looked over the stats.
A few girls began to leave, but you and some others stayed after to get more reps in. There was a small game of 3 on 3. Himari, Aiko, and you were on one side, and Saori, Rikako, and Keiko on the other.
Aiko received the ball, you started your approach early, wanting to run a quick from the outside position, without communicating, Himari spotted you in the air and tossed the ball quickly to you.
You swung as quickly as you could, slamming the ball onto the other side of the net. Rikako and Keiko were both on the ground, trying to get a touch, but failed.
"That's not fair!" Rikako laughed, getting up from the ground.
"Yeah, there's no blockers." Keiko adds on.
"You're more than welcome to do quicks." Aiko says across the net.
"Huddle up!" Saori says and the three younger girls form a triangle.
While you waited for them to finish scheming, you walked over to your coach. "I was thinking," you begin and she takes her eyes off of her iPad, "I noticed our hitting is weaker in the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th rotations."
"I noticed it too, what're you thinking?" She motions for you to continue.
"What if we switched Naomi and I, she has a solid serve, I don't think we'd do poorly." You say.
"I think that could work. I was also wanting to use Aiko more, her serving last season was amazing." Your coach says, "I like the lineup, but I do think I'll switch you and Naomi."
"If you want Aiko to serve more, she could go in for one of the middle blockers, then have Misaki go in for them."
"Your mind is great." She laughs and you smile.
"Okay we're ready!" Saori yells and you jog back to your position. The ball was sent over and Himari passed it.
"I got it!" Aiko says.
"Right!" Himari yells back, you're surprised she's attacking. Aiko pass-set to Himari and she hits a nasty line shot. Keiko receives it and Saori begins to jump set, but then she quickly changes it up and attacks the ball.
You were caught off guard, preparing for a quick from Keiko, the ball was coming towards your face fast, you quickly use your hands in defense. It was a bit off. "Sorry!" You yell.
"I've got it! Aiko!" Himari says and quickly runs to the ball, giving her a back set, Aiko tracks the ball and hits it over to the other side.
Rikako receives the ball with one hand, her body on the floor, it somehow perfectly lands in Saori's hands and she sets the ball impossibly quick to Keiko, but she wasn't able to get there in time because of how fast it was.
You stare with your mouth open at Saori, "What was that!?"
"I was trying to do a gap." She says and you're still looking at her confused, she thinks you don't know what a gap is, so she begins to explain, "You know, where the attacker is on their 3rd step and you set to them."
You shake your head, "I know what a gap is, we run those all the time—but that was insanely quick."
"I thought that's how they're normally set?" She looks around confused and Keiko is still trying to catch her breath.
"Is that how you'd set for your middle school team?" Rikako asks, absolutely baffled.
"Sometimes, but my hitters weren't fast enough so my coach made me slow it down." Saori explains.
"What made you try it again?" You approach her.
"Keiko's fast and tall, it just felt right to do." She answers.
"Do that again," Your coach is intrigued now, "Keiko try your best to hit. Y/n, toss the ball to her." Himari grabs a ball cart and rolls it over to you.
"Ready?" You ask and they all nod, you toss the ball to Saori, Keiko begins her approach, she gets to her second step, but the ball was already soaring past her.
"Sorry, I'm not used to this quick of a set." She apologizes.
"It's okay, try again." Coach Mori encourages and she gets back into formation.
You toss another ball and as soon as the ball leaves your hands, Keiko is beginning her approach, this time Keiko was in the air as Saori was setting the ball, it happened so quick, Keiko hit the ball and it slammed onto the other side of the net.
"Holy shit." You laugh and break into a huge smile.
"We can work with that." Your coach smirks. "We'll work more on it tomorrow, we're gonna focus on attacking."
"Clean up!" You say and begin to take down the net. Himari had an uneasy feeling in her stomach, but she remembers your words from earlier, she tries her best to keep it down. She goes up to Saori and compliments her, the two converse for a little.
You lock the gym doors and walk back to the club room, you notice Himari is a little down, but she refuses to talk about it. "I'm gonna head out now." She says to you.
"Do you want me to walk with you?" You'd always walk with each other because of how close you live.
"I kinda just want some space, I'm sorry." She apologizes.
"That's okay, I'll see you tomorrow." You smile at her and she puts in her headphones and walks out. You're the last one the leave, taking your time to pack your things.
You lock up the clubroom and see Kuroo and his friends a little ahead of you, Kuroo turns his head at the sound of a door being shut. "Hey-uh, walk without me today." He curtly says and makes his way over to you.
Yaku and Kai turn to see and immediately put the pieces together when they see you walking down the steps.
"You need me to walk you home?" He smiles, putting his hands in his pockets.
"Oh no, it's okay—"
"Alright alright, you don't have to beg me, I'll do it." He smirks, making you roll your eyes.
"Are you sure it's not out of your way?" And he shakes his head.
"Where's Himari?" You two basically never leave each other's sides, he's confused by this, but he's grateful because he wouldn't have been able to walk you home if she was with you.
"She was a little down after practice today, so she wanted to walk home alone." You say.
"What happened?"
"We have this first-year setter who's really good and she's worried that she might replace her." You say, "This is the first time she's had real competition for her spot."
"Yeah, that's rough." He sighs, "That's kinda happening with our middles."
"With you?" You say surprised.
He scoffs jokingly, "Obviously not me, I'm perfect." You rolls your eyes at him, "With Inuoka and Lev."
"I thought Lev's receives were still terrible." You say confused.
"They are, but he's so tall and can hit decently. Him and Kenma just haven't clicked yet." Kuroo explains and you him. "Coach thinks they have potential."
"Yeah, you can't really compete with height." You say.
"Especially a shorty like you." He laughs loudly at his own joke.
"Ha ha." You fake laugh, "I work hard for my spot."
"I know, it was just funny." He sighs and looks off, it was almost completely dark, he stares at the stars for a second then turns to look at you.
The soft wind slowly blew your hair out of your face, he thinks you look beautiful right now—well all the time, but especially right now.
You feel him staring, but don't say anything. It makes your face feel hot so you turn to look at the side, finding so much interest in the shops nearby. He realizes he's staring and embarrassingly looks away, if his friends saw him, he'd never hear the end of it.
"We have a practice match coming up." He breaks the silence.
"Ours? Yeah I know," You chuckle, "Every week, remember?" You turn your head back to him, noticing a pink hue cover his cheeks.
"Oh sorry—not ours." He laughs, "I meant with another team."
"Really? Who is it?" You're curious. "I bet it's Fukurodani."
He shakes his head, "I don't think you're guessing this one."
You raise an eyebrow and continue thinking. It has to be a team you're not familiar with. "I give up." You playfully roll your eyes.
"Karasuno."
"Karasuno?" You furrow your brows, it's not ringing a bell.
He sees your confusion and chuckles. "They were well known a couple years ago, we used to play them all the time."
"What happened to them?" You ask.
He shrugs, "They lost valuable players like we did, and had to start off from scratch. We're not lucky enough to get good players handed to us."
You frown, "We're just good at scouting the middle schoolers."
He just laughs, "Anyways, one of their coaches begged Nekomata and he decided to give them a chance."
"That should be fun, right?" You say, "Maybe I'll go watch to see a certain middle blocker get beat."
He playfully nudges you, "Don't root for the enemy."
"I was kidding." You roll your eyes, you came up to your house and wave goodbye to him. You go up to your room and see from your window that Himari's room was dark.
You frown, she never went to bed this early. You hoped she'd be feeling better tomorrow.
RL and Sims update post + a thank you note
(Warning: long post ahead, read at your own risk).
I wrote this post to thank you guys for all the likes and comments you keep leaving on my posts, even though, as you may have noticed, I can't be here as often as I used to. Real life has taken over almost completely, as I think it should. There are too many things going on, with me, my family, my country, even my sims and other games, lol.
I'm not going to bore you with daily life problems, much less with sad and depressive stuff, or with previews of a story I don't know when/if I'll ever finish, the only thing I can tell you is that I'm still busy with a lot of work, (fortunately) and family stuff; plus, I (finally) started going to therapy (yes, at my age). So right now, I'm juggling even more things than I already was.
And so I wanted to thank you for sticking with me, for continuing to read the chaotic stories of my wacky characters without judging them; thank you as well for each and every message you have sent to my inbox, be it questions, or flowers and love; and to all of you who continue to tag me both on sims stuff and cute games, knowing that I most likely won't be able to answer you, really, thank you for continuing to think of me. Your messages soothe my heart in difficult moments, and I wish to answer them all, I just don't know when I will be able to do that, hopefully someday.
Now, my sims story. For those of you who might remotely still be interested, I'm currently revising the next few episodes of Time Traveler which I wrote earlier this year. To be honest, I don't know when they will be ready, I just know the story goes on and as soon as I have reviewed these episodes, I'll start taking the pictures. When will they be published? Frankly, I don't know. It could be early 2025, but no promises, as I don't have much free time on my hands now. I manage to write in the evenings, but in-game photo shoots are quite time consuming and have to be done in peace and privacy, of which I don't have much at the moment. So, if I do decide to publish these episodes, it will likely be early next year, and at a rather slow pace.
About my gameplay, in Sims 4 we will continue with the Wilsons until the end of the season (coming soon), and then we will take a small break. As for The Sims 3, we just finished Patrick's story in Bridgeport, so now we'll go back with The Cho Brothers. First, we'll take a brief trip to Lucky Palms with Terence and Cynthia Cho; then we'll spend a rather long time in Hidden Springs and Starlight Shores, to see what has happened with Tyron, the eldest of the Cho brothers. And last but not least, we'll go back to Uni with Dale and Kelly, who I hope will FINALLY graduate this year, hahaha.
Anyway, I just wanted you to know that I am not gone (yet), that if one day I decide to retire I will make a special post about it, I won't leave without saying goodbye, but that day seems far away at least for the moment.
Now, regarding Inzoi…
I admit Inzoi has captured my interest. As usual, I'm late to the comment party, but I still want to put my two cents about this amazing game. Seeing the trailers and all those beautiful Inzois created by other simmers got me so excited, and at the same time, terribly frustrated to see that the demo didn't contain any gameplay. I need to actually play the game to give an opinion on it! So far it looks beautiful, though I must say that the character creator disappointed me because the sliders are Sims 4 style, which I've always found a bit complicated, I'll forever prefer the Sims 3 sliders, but hey, I had a lot of fun creating my own Inzois.
Hopefully the graphics and gameplay are as good as seen in the previews and its developers won't “break” it into multiple or turn the into a malfunctioning cash cow like EA did with The Sims 4, and to a certain extent, also with the Sims 3 in its time. I hope with Inzoi they'll go for a complete game, no matter if it's expensive, if I consider it is worth it, I'll give them my money as soon as it comes out.
That being said, it is important for me to clarify that I will not abandon The Sims 3 (or even Sims 4 though I don't play it much) for Inzoi. Ever. Neither do I plan to recreate my sims OCs/games in it, because my sims are exactly that, sims. If I ever get to play Inzoi it will be with entirely new characters, although I confess, I did try to reproduce two of my most beloved sims (a boy from the future and a college girl who is a model *wink*) and they turned out pretty well, but nowhere near as adorable as they look in The Sims 3. Plus, the environments in which those two OCs currently move could not be reproduced in Inzoi, at least as far as I know.
Okay, enough of Inzoi. In short: I'm not gone, I'm still here, I'm still reading all your stories, only at a much slower pace, two or 3 simblrs per day at the most. I'm going to read them all, just bear with me, and forgive me again if I don't always comment. Sometimes I don't even have the time or the energy for that. Believe me, 2024 has been an intense year in every possible way, sometimes I really need a break, but I try to be around and will always find a way to keep in touch, even if at times it seems like I'm nowhere to be found, I'll get back to you at some point.
That's all, thanks for reading this far! Have a nice and beautiful start of the week. 💗
P.S. I wrote this post three days ago, wish I had published it earlier, that way I probably wouldn't have gotten a notification that some Simblrs Community 'removed my membership'. When I clicked in said Simblrs Community icon, it said the community was 'private'. I don't know if that's some kind of automatic Tumblr thing, if there's a committee that decides about this, or if it was just a glitch in the matrix; whatever it was, I'm so sorry I wasn't able to be here to keep said membership. I didn't even know Simblr was a private membership. For what it's worth, it wasn't neglect or lack of interest for my part, just lack of time. I hope one day to be able to qualify again and be worthy of this membership. At any rate, I thank you for thinking of me and admitting me in your community in the first place.
Chapter 7 of Sofie Plays "Slay the Princess": The Stranger
STRANGER DANGER STRANGER DANGER STRANGER DANGER STR---
[ Beginning ] - [ Previous Part ] - [ Next Part ]
Tumblr media
The Narrator is a doofus (derogatory) and Ultra Princess (whose name I can't recall--- did she even give one?) lightly chastised me when I tried to sit in the woods forever to have a tantrum over it. >:(
Tumblr media
I can't truly express this to all you folks watching at home, but the parallax / scrolling effect that has been ever-present throughout the game is entirely cattywampus in this cabin.
Tumblr media
One day, mirror... *clenches fist* one day...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I left the blade behind again. I probably should take it with me one of these days. That doesn't really matter right now, though, because I'm too unsettled by the combination of my fear of heights and these stairs lacking any form of guardrails.
Tumblr media
This brick joke is slowly growing on me. Used to hate it and use it as a means of fueling my distrust of the Narrator, but now it's a little comforting whenever I see it. I need to write a fanfic of this game once I'm done and use it in some kind of funny way.
Tumblr media
Oh dear. It's an arbitrary choice that will likely have a significant impact on how this run goes... Split the difference, I guess? We'll take the center staircase.
Tumblr media
This 100% symbolizes the various Princesses, doesn't it? Oh goodie! I'll wait to trigger the dialogue advancing so I can examine it and---
Tumblr media
GEE THANKS PRINCESS. NOW I'M COMING DOWN FROM A HEART ATTACK AND I DIDN'T GET TO ANALYZE THAT SCREEN BECAUSE OF YOU ADVANCING THE TEXT FOR ME.
Tumblr media
Okay the contrarian is growing on me. "Wow, what an utterly indescribable and fundamentally unsettling, eldritch experience. Time to be a rascally rogue once more!"
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Lego Movie Robot Background Character Voice) Her face is so generic it matches every other face in our database!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
*deep, deep sigh* CONTRARIAN.
Tumblr media
Okay I succumbed to the shoulder devil that is the Contrarian and...
Tumblr media
... Those shouldn't be highlighted all at once. Sad that there's such a glaring issue in a published game. I'll select the option to leave her in the basement and OH SHOOT IT'S SUPPOSED TO BE THAT WAY.
Tumblr media
Welp. At least we can match, right?
Tumblr media
I DO NOT LIKE MATCHING ANYMORE.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Contrarian pls I need a joke save me
Tumblr media
Phenomenal voice acting here! I hate it.
Tumblr media
Dangit, I wanted to see if I could even help her! You have horrible timing, Ultra Princess.
Tumblr media
Alright besties, time to check on how the glow-up's coming along!!!!!!!!! :DDDD
Tumblr media
I think we might need to switch up our skincare routine.
Tumblr media
Absolutely fascinating dialogue option that is giving me emotions and I need to sit and ponder all of it for a bit.
Tumblr media
I finally asked the Narrator if there's some sort of reward I'll receive for slaying the princess--- he answered in the affirmative. Is the reward just a continued existence? Riches? Power? Immortality?
Tumblr media
Okay yeah no I pressed him on the subject and he's totally pulling this out of his rear. There's no reward.
Tumblr media
This time I'm going to manage to free her--- or try as best I can, at least. Hopefully without any dismemberment this time.
(Continuing this in the next post!)
26/08/2024 Devlog
Hallo everyone!  Tumblr devlog time. Sorry I missed the last one. Sometimes I just miss the notification when it pops up. Sometimes I remember on the off week but don't want to throw off the schedule and end up just waiting for the next one to roll around.
Summary:
Finished Yren's Play test
Finished Raif's Play test
Finished Noel's Play test
Started Kav's Play test
Finally got the colour slider in the game with help from Windchimes
New music room (slightly redesigned)
New gallery screen
Bonus scene page
Wrote the rest of the ch1 bonus scenes
Got the affinity indicators coded
Multiple new BGs
Finished Yren's Ch 2 CG
Started Noel's Ch 2 CG
Worked on coding sprite expressions
Set affinity scoring up through Ch 5
Worked on the premium and public game guides
Writing/Playtesting:
I have been working on my own play test of the game which is essentially another round of reading and editing. Last time I said the script was 616,000 words. Well it's now 621,000 words.
I'm not just cramming in filler. A lot of that is additional choice options. Sometimes I would find places where you went a really long time without choices. Others I would encounter a choice menu that had 3 options when it needed 5 or 6 options (one for each LI).
Adding menus and choice options can increase your word count pretty rapidly so that is where most of the increase has happened.
I'm also fixing a lot of small continuity issues. This usually results in a small variation or callback being added into the script for clarity or to correct a seeming contradiction. For instance, at one point I realised that I  needed an additional variation in Ch 5 to account for a game state that wasn't accounted for in the existing options. And I had to do it for all 6 LIs. Which meant that a 200 word variation became a 1200 word addition to the word count.
So yeah, those things add up fast when you have 6 LIs.
I am continuing to work on this. And I will do one full play test of everyone's "best" ending before beta testers touch it.
I also have decided to add in "bonus scenes" these will basically unlock at the end of some chapters. Some of these will be POV scenes and some will be other scenes and content told from the MC's point of view. These are just extra scenes that I think help flesh out the characters and relationships but really didn't fit into the main story because you just...can't fit everything in the main story. I will be writing any bonus content as I work on the episodes and as I get ideas for them.
I don't have any specific rules I'm going to hold myself to for bonus content. They're just fun extras. They may be quite short in some cases. The ones for Chapter 1 are 1400 or so words.
Art:
Art wise, I've received new BGs - they're about 90% done at this point.
I also completed Yren's CG and started on Noel's. Raif's is already done, Kav doesn't get one for Ch 2.
So yeah. Getting those completed bit by bit.
Other Stuff:
Lots of other stuff.
We managed to get the colour slider set up for Wil's sprite (we being me and my friend from Windchimes games). This required re-colouring the original sprite and original CG for Wil in greyscale and then coding in everything necessary to have Wil colourised by Ren'py rather than by  me.
As you can see from this Wil's hair and eyes are not colourised. Wil's eyes being silver/grey are just kind of a plot element and is related to their species. And while I contemplated having Wil's hair be on a slider too the reality is that the hair styles were not designed to be colourised in this way and some of them don't look as good. Particularly the curly hair which doesn't have strong outlines or, really the same type of shading to give it depth. Some colours looked quite good on it and others looked quite bad.
I tried redrawing that hair half a dozen times to see if I could make it look better while retaining the same overall look and feel and it just was not possible. I could have redone the hair but frankly. I didn't want to. And some of the other styles didn't look *amazing* recoloured. They were just okay.
I think if I want to revisit the slider in the future then I just need to approach the art with that in mind versus trying to add it to art not designed for it.
But in any case, Wil having only black/silver options was also originally with intent so I don't mind keeping with that set up.
In terms of other features that are finally in game we have affinity indicators, a newly designed music room, the bonus scene page, the gallery screen and things like that.
I did the affinity scoring up through Chapter 5 which is when the route gets locked in. That was primarily so I could test that section properly. But yeah. That's done.
And I've been working on coding sprite expressions. If you have been following me for a while you know that sprite expressions are an *ordeal* for me.
I have a lot of expressions coded in which means I tend to change the expression every 1-4 lines - especially for the main character. Gilded Shadows had about 6500 expression changes per route. Including the common route, that's about 60,000 expression changes coded manually. Which is a lot.
About half of those probably...were Morgan. She is on screen more than anyone else, of course. All the narration is her internal dialogue. She is on screen for it and her expressions are changing based on what she's thinking.
WSC is very much the same.
So the expressions are a lot.
I got Wil's expressions completed through Chapter 2. This chapter is about 50,000 words and of course I've been working on a ton of other things so I've only dedicated an hour or two a day to work on expressions. It's very tedious. It's also impossible to not edit as you go because you have to read the script line by line to decide what expressions people are using. Inevitably you see typos and stuff that you fix as you do expressions.
So it's just kind of a time sink that isn't *difficult* but does tend to take some time.
Upcoming Weeks:
My huge checklist has become smaller and smaller over the last few weeks.
The main things now are...CG creation, flowchart set up, coding expressions and getting my play test done.
Those are kind of the things that have to get done before Episode 1 can go to beta testers on Patreon.
There are always features and elements I consider big milestones when they get ticked off the main list. The colourised sprite was one of the remaining "big ones" - the flowcharts are another.
Anyway, that is all for this update. I will hopefully see you all again in *two weeks* this time.
(I swear I need a less easy-to-miss reminder). LoL
For an autumn refreshment, the air isn't too bad. It's even mild. People are playing with leaves on the ground and children are running around laughing. But here I am, in front of my best friend's house. Well, former best friend…
I wonder if he's sitting on the couch right now, watching our favorite movie by the fire. Or playing video games.
I loved these little moments with him, it was relaxing and there was no judgment or criticism, we were just ourselves. Thanks to these moments, I had a crush on him, I actually fell in love with him. How could I not be in love with him, he's adorable, helpful, loyal, funny, a little destructive around the edges but he's also incredibly sexy.
I remembered that in high school all the girls were crazy about him, everyone wanted to be him. He was one of the best quarterbacks in our high school and I was proud of him, just like he was proud of me when I passed my science report.
I remember he often won games and I was in the stands cheering him on. I wasn't ashamed to shout his name so he'd know I was there for him. Those were the best years of my life.
Even though all the girls wanted his attention, he stuck by me. He once told me that I was more interesting than any of them. I remember blushing and hiding my face on his chest. Just thinking about it made my heart beat faster. I miss her touch, her warmth…
I wish I could go back in time and tell her I loved her. If I hadn't been such a coward, I'd never have lost him. Instead, I went off to see someone else. Still, I kept thinking about Davis, how he'd managed to hold my heart in his hands.
I was stupid…
The door opens, snapping me out of my reverie. He's standing there, his gaze soft and sad at the same time. Did he know I was coming?
“(Y/N), you came?” “Wh-what? How did you…” “Come on in.”
He stepped aside to let me in, I stood there skeptical, but finally entered after his nod.
Why, did he let me in? He should hate me, though. His house was simple but very warm, everything inside was comforting. If I looked carefully, I could see that he had always kept our things in common. It brought tears to my eyes.
As if reading my mind, he approached me and smiled.
“I couldn't let any part of you go so I kept them.” “Why?” It was all I could manage to say. “Because you're part of me and I can't live without them.” “What do you mean?” I said, puzzled.
He looked at me as if it were obvious, as if all the pieces of the puzzle were in front of me.
“Come on, shall we sit down for a bit?”
He guided me to the small living room, and I sat down next to him on the sofa opposite the fireplace. There were already two mugs of hot chocolate on the base table. Was he expecting someone?
“To answer your question, I was waiting for you.” “I know you're mad at me…” “Who told you I was mad at you?” “After what I did you should be!” I exclaimed. “But I'm not and do you know why?”
I nodded so he could continue. Deep inside, my heart knew why, but it wanted to hear it from his lips. Even if the other side thought otherwise, how could such an incredible man love a woman like me.
“Because I've always loved you and even now you drive me crazy, and have since we were little. Every time my parents and I came to your house, I had…No I needed to see you.”
I couldn't help but blush at his statement, it was as if I were dreaming at that moment. I lowered my head with a smile on my lips as I realized it was real after all. “Tell me why you left with Ryan?” He gripped my chin with his thumb and forefinger to force me to look at him.
“I left with him because I thought you'd never want me.” “That I'd ever want you?” Davis questioned.
The more we talked, the closer our bodies got, until our knees were pressed together. This sudden closeness gave me butterflies in my stomach and then his gaze on me drove me crazy. How had I not noticed all this before?
“I was madly in love with you and I still am. But I want to know one thing, do you have or still have feelings for me?”
I saw in his eyes that he was looking for an answer, an affirmation. So all I could do was offer him a tear-filled smile. He wiped away my tears with his thumb and brought his face close to mine, until our foreheads touched.
“I'm still in love with you, Davis, but I was too afraid you'd reject me.” He took a deep breath and closed his eyes. He put his hand behind my neck and tried to pull me closer as if he still had distance.
“I could blow up the world for you, (Y/N). Oh lord, you know how much I love destroying things, but not you, you're far too precious to me.” We couldn't help but laugh at this simple sentence, admittedly cute, but a little psycho.
Standing next to him, I take in his features. His storm-blue eyes, his thin, pink mouth, his muscles trapped in his plain shirt and freckles dotting his face and little wrinkles at the corners of his eyes. He had become even more handsome.
“You know, I like it when you look at me like that.” He smiled wryly. “But stop!” I could bet that by this time, I'd gone all red.
I put my head in his warm chest and hugged him tightly. Meanwhile, he started laughing out loud and I felt his hand move up from my neck to my head to caress it. He always knew it calmed me. “I've always loved your laugh.” “I know.”
“That's a pretty pretentious thing to say, you know?” I laughed “I'm only pretentious with you.” “But seriously, what do we do now?” I murmured, intrigued. “We could start by taking our time and then see?” “You're probably right, only time can help us.” “When you have doubts, (Y/N) come to me, okay? I don't want to lose you again.” I nodded to let him know I agreed. “I'll also come and see you if I'm not well or have doubts too.”
He took me in his arms and tightened his hold on me, as if afraid of losing me again. Before I knew it, he lifted me onto his lap and caressed my back with his two large hands.
I felt something thick and hard against my crotch and knew I was close to his cock. I never imagined it would be big and hot. I know he told me to take our time, but after three years of not seeing each other I couldn't resist another minute.
I began to discreetly rub my clothed clitoris against him. This new sensation was driving me crazy and I wanted more. I felt his hands squeeze my buttocks and push me even closer to his erection.
“Please, (Y/n) don't stop.” He moaned
He kept asking me not to stop and that's what I did, I didn't stop. I rubbed myself even harder. His grunts and groans became very loud. He couldn't stop making these obscene noises, worthy of a porn movie. The fact that it was him having this effect made me even more excited.
He suddenly took my head in his hands and kissed me with such force. It was as if something had awakened. The grip of his hands was harder but softer at the same time. After open-mouthed kisses, we pulled back to breathe. Her eyes had become darker and more intense. I'd never seen that kind of look coming from him.
“Fu-Fuuuuuck, I knew you were meant for me, darling.” My hands survey his body, touching his pecs and bulging abs, until they reach his big erection. I cup it and start making circular motions around his cock. “FUCK! If you don't stop now, I'm going to cum in my pants.” “Oh yeah?” I smiled wryly. “Please, baby go slow, you're making me super sensitive.” “Don't worry, honey, we've got plenty of time.”
I placed my lips on her neck and began to suck the soft one below her ear. I could feel shivers run through his body, smiled in victory and continued with more determination. He started moaning and grunting again, but it was more desperate envy.
“Shall we continue into the bedroom?” “I'll follow you.”
I never thought my best friend would become my boyfriend…
Broken Hearts Football Club | Bonus chapter 1
Author’s note: Suprise!! Look whose muse paid her a visit! 😅 I wasn't planning on writing more of Ben and June's story, but a couple of weeks ago I got inspired (probably because I miss seeing Ben more often and we've been talking a lot about him), and here we are. So far there only are two bonus chapters and there may be a third one in the future, but I can't promise anything since I still don't know how I want to approach the topic it will be about if I end up writing it. Also, these chapters don't continue the story where it ended, they happen some time after what you last read (this first one is like a year after or so). I just I hope I've managed to keep the vibes of their relationship and their dinamics. Sometimes that can be a bit tricky 😅 Anyway, hope you like it, and as always, thank you very much for reading! 💜
“I swear to God, Chilwell. If I trip or hit something and end up injured…”
“You'll fucking murder me, I know.”
“Don't make fun of me” June said, moving her arms in the air, trying to hit him.
“Just keep walking and stop complaining.”
“I'm playing against United tomorrow. If we win…”
“You'll be a step closer to winning the league, I know. I'm commenting the game, remember?” Ben chuckled. “Wait there.”
“What?”
“Just wait there, June” he said, moving around her and taking her hands. “Now, keep walking.”
“Are you going to tell me why we are in the garden and I have to wear an eye mask or...”
“You are so impatient, Maxwell.”
“Well, you promised me food and cuddles, and I am getting nothing!” she protested.
“Just a few more steps… Here. Stop.”
“Can I get rid of this now?”
“You can.”
“Finally” June sighed while taking off the mask, her eyes taking a minute to adjust to the light. “Now what?”
“Look at what you have in front of you” Ben said.
“That's… What is that?” she asked with a confused look.
“A raised bed garden” Ben smiled.
“A what?”
“It's like a little patch of land where you can grow your own vegetables or whatever you fancy.”
“And why did I need to have my eyes covered to see this?”
“Because of that” he said, nodding towards the little envelope hanging from one of those tags people use to know where they've planted what. “It's for you, take it.”
“Ok” June said, doing as Ben had asked her. Inside it, there was a key with a J keychain. “I… I don't understand.”
“June” Ben said, grabbing her by the waist and making her look at him. “That's a key to my house. I know you already have one, but this one is different. Because I… Because I want it to be our house.”
“You… what?”
“I want you to move in with me, June. You've basically been living here since we started dating, so why not do it permanently?”
“Ben, I…”
“That's why I set up this” he continued, nodding towards the garden bed. “Because I want you to grow your own vegetables and herbs for all your recipes just like I grow my flowers. To have something you can take care of and help you disconnect from football and everything going on out there. I've actually already imagined us both here during a sunny day like today, taking care of the garden together” he said with a shy smile. “And think about Pepper. Here he could have his own room with all his toys, his bed, one of those big scratching towers… And we could even give him a little brother or sister.”
“A feline one, you mean.”
“Yes, yes, of course. It's too soon for the human one.”
“Oh, so you've already thought about that too.”
“I've been thinking about our life together since the moment I realized I had fallen in love with you and that there was no going back, June. I want to spend the rest of my life with you, grow older with you. I want it all with you, June Maxwell.”
“Ben, I… I…”
It made sense. All he had said made sense. She had started to spend more and more time at his house than hers, and not only because John was seeing someone and she didn't want to walk into them doing… things. Ben's house was closer to the training grounds and to where Lauren and Vittoria lived, and during the season it made things easier for her. The neighbourhood was quieter, people not caring about who she was since they were used to seeing famous people and especially football players all the time. She could also go for walks or a run and not have to care about the traffic, and there were shops, cute coffee spots, parks, and everything she may need.
And she also was in love with Ben's house. She had been since the first day she had set foot in it. It was the style she liked, and even though the inside still needed some work, it was a place where she could see herself living for a long time, getting older, raising her own family. Like Ben had said, there was enough space for Pepper to enjoy himself, but also for… children. Children with blue kind of grey eyes and brunette curls. Children playing football in the garden, hitting Ben's precious flowers and making him scold them but a minute later cover them on kisses, all while June watched them from the kitchen, cooking them their favourite meal with Pepper at her feet asking her for something to eat.
It was all there, and imagining it, thinking about it, wasn't making her freak out like it could have happened in the past.
That was the house where she had fallen in love with the man who had changed her life, the one who had mended her broken heart. And whatever the future held for her, for them… she wanted it all with him.
“June” Ben said, caressing her cheek and bringing her back to reality. “June, are you…”
“Yes.”
“What?”
“Yes. I want to move in with you, Ben. I want to use this thing to grow my own tomatoes while you do the same with your flowers, and I want to see Pepper run like crazy around the house trying to catch flies, and I want to argue about who has to take out the rubbish or empty the dishwasher…”
“We already do that” he chuckled.
“Don't interrupt me, Chilwell.”
“Ok” he said, trying really hard to not smile.
“And I want to throw parties with our friends, host dinners for our families, and then maybe get another cat that will destroy our sofa and pee the carpet, and if it's possible… Maybe one day find ourselves renovating a room for a litte one with brunette curls who will drive us crazy and definitely break at least a couple of windows while learning how to play football. And I want to sit on those sofas and watch the sunset every day while resting my head on your chest, cuddling and hearing your heart beating healthy and strong, and I… I want it all. Because I love you, Ben.”
“Can you say that again?”
“All of it?”
“Just the last three words. Well, four if you count my name” he smiled, pulling her closer towards him.
“I love you, Ben” June repeated, wrapping her arms around his neck.
“Say it again, please.”
“Chilwell…”
“Please?” he pouted.
“Fine” she sighed. “I love you. And I want to move in with you. Because I love you.”
“Because you love me.”
“I do, yes. Very much.”
“I love you too, June.”
“I know” she smiled. “Are you gonna kiss me now or do I have to do everything first?”
“You? Seriously?” he laughed. “Who kissed the other first? And opened up first? And say I love you first? Or ask the other to be boyfriend and girlfriend? Or…”
“Shut up, Chilwell.”
“Make me” he smirked.
“Gladly” June said before kissing him. “Do you want to go practice how to make one of those brunette babies?” she whispered against his lips when they managed to break apart.
“Weren't you hungry?”
“We can do that later, we'll need to recharge” she said, making them both laugh. “Besides, we have all the time in the world to cook together in that kitchen.”
“Our kitchen” he smiled.
“Our kitchen” she smiled back.
“I love you, June Maxwell.”
“I love you too, Ben Chilwell” she replied, giggling like an idiot as he threw her over his shoulder and walked her inside the house.
Their house.
━━━━━━❃━━━━━━
“Thank you very much for everything, Fred. We could have not done this without you” Ben said.
“You’re welcome. And thank you very much for the photos and the autographs, June. My girls are gonna love them.”
“Of course” she smiled. “And thank you.”
“Just doing our job. Goodbye, lovebirds.”
“Bye” Ben and June said at the same time.
“So…” he said while they watched the moving guys drive away.
“So” June repeated.
“Ready to start the new chapter of your life, Maxwell?”
“Ready” she replied, taking a deep breath. “Wait, no.”
“No?” he asked with a confused look.
“We can’t just walk in as if this was something normal.”
“What?”
“We are moving in together for the first time, Ben. This is important.”
“I know.”
“Then we can’t just walk in as we always do. It must be special.”
“Ok… What do you suggest?”
“I want you to carry me inside like newlyweds do in movies.”
“You what?” Ben laughed.
“You know what I am talking about, don't you?” she asked him.
“Of course I do, Maxwell.”
“Then c´mon. I’ve always wanted to do it” June said, extending her arms towards him.
“Really? Has it been like a childhood dream or something?” he teased her.
“It actually has, yes. So come here, Chilwell. Pepper is inside already, and I’m pretty sure he is freaking out in his carrier, asking himself where the hell he is.”
“Fine” Ben sighed, trying to hide his smile. “Let’s go” he said before lifting her in his arms. “Is this what you wanted?”
“Yep” she smiled, kissing his cheek. “Thank you very much, Chilwell.”
“Anything for you, Maxwell” he smiled back.
“And I love you, by the way.”
“I love you too, June” he said before walking into his house.
Their house.
━━━━━━❃━━━━━━
“Not again, bro!”
“Everything alright, Chilwell?” June said from the living room.
“Of course not!” Ben replied, joining her. “That bloody cat did it again!”
“I beg your pardon?”
“Him!” he said while pointing at Pepper, who was sitting on the sofa next to June, too busy cleaning his paws. “He did it again!”
“Do what?”
“Pee on my trainers, June!”
“Really?”
“Yes!”
“Pepper, did you pee on Chilwell's trainers again?” she asked him while petting his head.
“He isn't going to reply, Maxwell. He is a cat” he said, rolling his eyes. “And he did. Smell this.”
“Eww, Ben. Get that away from my face!” she said when he moved his trainer closer to her face. “And it isn't Pepper’s fault.”
“Isn't it?” he laughed.
“He still is adjusting to the new house and is a bit stressed. He needs time.”
“June, it's been three months.”
“And?” she shrugged.
“Urgh” Ben groaned.
“But you know, maybe he would pee somewhere else if you kept your trainers in just one place and not all over the house.”
“What?”
“This morning I tripped with one and almost fell on my face, and I have a photoshoot tomorrow. What if I had broken my nose or something?”
“Oh, so now it is my fault that your cat isn't properly trained?” he said, raising his voice.
“He is properly trained!” she said, also raising her voice. “But maybe you are the one who isn't, Chilwell.”
“Oh, fuck off, Maxwell!” Ben said, leaving the room.
“Yes, go away! But be careful, you may trip with one of your trainers!” she replied, hearing him close a door somewhere in the house with a loud bang.
━━━━━━❃━━━━━━
“June, is everything alright?” Lauren asked her.
“Yeah” she said while taking off her boots.
“Is it? Because you sucked at training today. Big time.”
“Did I?”
“C'mon, June. You know it better than anyone. What happened?”
“Nothing.”
“June…”
“Ok, fine” she sighed. “Ben and I had an argument.”
“Again?”
“Yes, Lauren. Again.”
“What happened now?”
“Pepper peed on his trainers. When we moved in he started doing it in different corners of the house and the vet told us that it was normal after such a big change. But lately he's started to do it on Ben's shoes.”
“Could he be marking his territory?”
“I don't know, Lauren” June sighed again. “They've always gotten along, you know? Like, Ben was with me the day I took Pepper home, he helped me with everything. But now… I don't know.”
“Maybe you should go to the vet again.”
“Maybe… But all this mess with Pepper isn't the only thing going on. Since I moved in, we've been constantly arguing because of the most stupid things. Things that we were ok with or that didn't bother us when I was just staying in the house and nothing was official. And I just… I…”
“You what?” Lauren said, taking her hand on hers and giving it an encouraging squeeze.
“What if we weren't ready to take this step just yet? What if it was a mistake? What if we are…”
“June, don't.”
“Don't what?”
“Don't you dare going there” Lauren said, threatening her with her finger.
“Go where?”
“To start thinking you and Ben being together is a mistake or whatever crazy thought was crossing your mind right now. You didn't go through everything you went through to end things just because your cat has a weak bladder.”
“What?” she laughed.
“June, you love Ben and he loves you, and you are meant to be. But living together isn't easy, and things won't always be rainbows and glitter.”
“I know. But Lauren, we've been living together for three months, and all we've done is argue.”
“I'm pretty sure you've done more than just argue” she smirked, making June roll her eyes. “But you also chose to move in together before the most stressful months for both your jobs. Feeling like this is normal.”
“Is it?”
“It is, trust me. You should see the arguments we have at home. And when I meet on the weekends with my parents, and Reece also is there… You don't want to witness that.”
“You can be quite scary when you are mad” she chuckled.
“I know” Lauren smiled. “So stop overthinking so much, and talk with Ben about all this. He may be feeling the same too.”
“Yeah, I guess. Thank you, Lauren.”
“You're very welcome, June. Now go shower, you stink.”
“Me?” she gasped.
“Actually, you both stink” one of their teammates said, June and Lauren both throwing their dirty shirts at her before they all started laughing.
━━━━━━❃━━━━━━
“Ben?” June said, meeting him in the garden once she got home after training, Pepper running inside the house as if his life depended on it. “Ben, what happened?”
“That bloody cat of yours, that's what happened!”
“Pepper?”
“Do you have more cats?” he spatted.
“There is no need to use that tone, Chilwell” she said, crossing her arms over her chest. “What did he do now?”
“He ruined my flowers, that's what he did. Just yesterday I planted some new seeds here, and look” he said, pointing at the soil at his feet. “He dug them all out to do his business.”
“Are you sure it was him? I haven't been in the garden for the past few days, and I don't allow him to be outside if I'm not with him in case he tries to run away.”
“He did it today while I was watering the other flowers.”
“Then it is your fault, Chilwell. Not his.”
“What?” he laughed.
“You let him outside and didn't keep an eye on him” she shrugged.
“I can't fucking believe it, June. Why do you keep defending him?”
“Because he's done nothing wrong?”
“He's not… Whatever.”
“Ben, where are you going?” she said as he walked past her, completely ignoring her.
“To Mason's.”
“I thought we were going to cook dinner together.”
“Not today” he said before taking his car keys and leaving the house, those being the last words he said to June for the rest of the day.
━━━━━━❃━━━━━━
“Pepper? Pepper, where are you?” June called. “Pepper?”
“Can't find that devil of yours?” Ben said while going through his notes for the next game.
“I can't, no. Have you seen him?”
“He was chilling on the sofa when I sat down.”
“Well, he isn't there anymore.”
“Have you checked where I keep my shoes? He may have needed a wee wee.”
“Not funny, Chilwell” she said. “But I already checked upstairs and he wasn't there.”
“Did you check all the wardrobes and under the beds? He likes hiding there.”
“I checked every corner, Ben.”
“That's weird” he said, putting down his pen and finally looking at her. “Let me help you.”
“You want to help me find that bloody cat like you like calling him?” she asked, arching an eyebrow.
“Yes, I do. What rooms have you checked down here?”
“Most of them. Ben, if we can't find him…”
“June. June, hey” he said, suddenly showing up next to her and taking her hands on his. “We are going to find Pepper. He probably is sleeping inside a cupboard and that's why you can't find him.”
“Yes” she nodded, trying to not start crying.
“C'mon, let's go room by room together.”
━━━━━━❃━━━━━━
“He isn't anywhere, Ben” June said, now properly crying. “If something has happened to him…”
“He is ok, you'll see.”
“You can't know that!”
“June, we are gonna find him. I promise you” he said while hugging her.
“But we've checked everywhere! Everywhere! Upstairs, down here, in the garage, the gym… He is gone, Ben.”
“There is one place we haven't checked yet, tho.”
“What?” she said, lifting her head from his shoulder and looking at him.
“The garden” Ben said, biting his lower lip. “I went outside earlier, and I think…”
“You think what, Chilwell?”
“I think I didn't close the door.”
“You… Benjamin!” June said, slapping his face and taking a step back, leaving his embracement. “What if he's gone outside? What if he jumped the fence and went on the road and a car hit him? What if he's… if he's…”
“He's gonna be fine, June” he said, his face burning where she had slapped him.
“You can't know that, Chilwell! If something has happened to him, I… I… He's like family, Ben” she cried. “I know he is just a cat, but he is like family to me. And if something has happened to him…”
“Nothing has happened to him, June” he said, closing the space between them again and wiping her tears. “He's a clever boy. Sometimes too clever” he chuckled.
“But he's never been outside, Ben. He's grown up inside a flat, he doesn't know what a car is. Or dogs! What if a dog attacked him and…”
“He is ok, June. He… Are you waiting for someone?” he said when someone rang the bell.
“No” she replied.
“Wait here, I'm gonna check who it is.”
“Ok” she nodded, sitting down on the sofa and trying to control the tears that were threatening to come back. “Who was it?” she asked when she heard Ben coming back.
“June…”
“I hope that if it was someone coming to pay us a visit, you told them to go away. I'm not in the mood to see anyone.”
“Not even him?” Ben asked her.
“What… Pepper!” she screamed before running towards where Ben was standing, the cat in his arms. “Oh, Pepper!” she cried.
“Told you he was ok.”
“Is he?” she said, checking him while he just purred.
“He is. He apparently jumped the fence and was chilling with the neighbours’s dog.”
“What?” June said, her eyes wide.
“The neighbour said that she found them sleeping together on her dog's bed, but that earlier one of her kids also saw them eating and playing together.”
“They… Is that true, Pepper?” she asked the cat.
“Meow” he replied as if understanding what she had just said.
“I can't believe it” she chuckled, giving him a hug before he complained and ran away. “Now he'll go take a nap as if he hadn't scared the hell out of me.”
“And it was all my fault” Ben sighed.
“What?”
“I'm sorry, June. I'm sorry about not closing the door today and about the way I've been behaving lately and especially with Pepper. That slap you gave me… I totally deserved it.”
“I… Umm… It's ok.”
“It isn't, June. Like, we just moved in together. We should be happy and on cloud nine, not constantly arguing about the most stupid things. And it is all my fault.”
“Arguing about stupid things is part of the experience, tho.”
“Not like this, June. Not like this.”
“Ben…”
“There is something I have to tell you. Something I've been thinking for a while and that I think is what has had me so on edge lately, making you pay for it.”
“What… you…” There it was. He was going to break up with her. He had realized that things weren't working out between them anymore, and he was going to end things with her, breaking her heart in so many pieces that she was sure she was never going to recover from it and…
“I'm quitting my job” Ben said.
“I beg your pardon?” June replied, raising her voice.
“I’m quitting my job” he repeated.
“But… why? I thought you loved being a pundit!”
“And I do, but… I feel a bit burnt out. And before you say anything, no, it isn't because of my heart. That one keeps being healthier than it has ever been, all thanks to you” he smiled. “It's just that… I don't know. I need a break.”
“A break?”
“Yes, a break. There are gonna be changes at work and… well. Let's just say that I don't agree with some of the decisions they are going to make.”
“Are they going to fire people?”
“Among other things, yes. But besides that, lately we both have been so tired, especially after a game day, that we can't even enjoy having dinner together without one of us constantly yawning, and I feel like we only spend actual time together to have sex. Not complaining about it tho, don't get me wrong. It keeps being amazing” he smirked. “But I want to go back to doing all the things that made us fall in love with each other. The things that make us happy. Like cooking together when you are back from training, me picking you up after a game and having a kinder egg ready to cheer you up or congratulate you if you've scored, going out for a walk and getting breakfast at our favourite spot… I miss all that, June. I miss us.”
“I miss it too” she said.
“So that's why I'm quitting. Because I love you and I want our relationship to work. Because I want the same things you told me about when you said yes to moving in together. From growing tomatoes, to watching the sunset in the garden, to starting our own family one day. I want it all with you, June Maxwell” he said, caressing her cheek.
“And I with you, Chilwell” she replied. “But I can't let you give up on your career because of me. I can't.”
“I'm not giving up on anything. I actually have a plan b” Ben smiled.
“You do?”
“Yep. I'm gonna get certified to be a manager.”
“Wait, what?”
“It was something that had never crossed my mind, but now… I don't know. After commenting football for so many years, I think I could be a good manager. Maybe not to be on a Premier League team, but with kids…” he shrugged.
“Gaffer Chilwell, uh? It doesn't sound that bad” she smiled.
“It doesn't, does it?” he smiled back.
“But Ben… Are you sure about this? Are you sure this is what you want?”
“100% sure, June. It's time for a new chapter. One where I'm gonna keep loving you and supporting you every single day.”
“And one where I will do the same with you, Chilwell. Loving you and supporting you every single day and on every step you take. Because I love you, Ben.”
“Say it again, please. I think I haven't heard you properly” he smirked, wrapping his arms around her waist and pulling her closer.
“I love you more than anything, Benjamin James Chilwell” she said, putting her arms around his neck.
“Even more than kinder eggs?” he asked with a teasing smile.
“A lot more.”
“Wow” he chuckled. “That is a lot.”
“Yep” June smiled. “And it will be forever.”
“Forever?” Ben asked, brushing his nose against hers.
“Forever” she repeated before kissing him.
This idea ambushed me in the shower and wouldn't leave me alone until I wrote it, so there you have it. This is the result of an hour of frantic typing on my phone and shall be cleaned up before I cross post it to AO3.
"I wanna come out," Jamie says, and Roy freezes in place so fast Phoebe bumps into his back and swears under her breath.
Roy doesn't even pretend to try and tease her for it, too stunned for words.
"If we win tonight," Jamie adds on the other end of the line, "I wanna come out."
"Are you sure?" Roy manages at last, and it comes out so raw Ruth does a double take in the kitchen, raising her eyebrows in question.
Roy, gripping his phone like he'll die if he lets go, shakes his head and turns away, making his way to the corridor on shaky legs. From very far away, he thinks he hears Phoebe ask if he's alright, but Roy pushes her out of his mind as soon as Jamie says:
"I'm sure."
"Jamie," Roy hisses, "it could end your career."
"So what?" Jamie says, and Roy almost ask who the fuck is possessing his partner.
"Jamie."
"Roy. I'm thirty-four. I've won the Premier League, the Europe League and the fucking World Cup. I'm in the fucking Olympics. Once I've won that, who the fuck cares if I get a goodbye tour?"
"You do," Roy says. Then Jamie grunts and Roy adds: "I'm with you. You know I am, always." Jamie hums, but it sounds like he's relenting, not skeptical, so Roy makes himself continue despite the risk of Ruth or Phoebe overhearing: "I just don't—I don't want you to regret it."
To regret me, Roy is surprised to mean. After all, they've been together for almost ten years now. Any coming out Jamie makes is likely to result in their relationship becoming public, and Roy...Roy has apparently not quite managed to get over their age difference as thoroughly as he thought he had.
"I won't," Jamie promises, the sound of his voice suddenly echoing, like he just stepped in a bathroom. "I really won't. Just 'cause I'm buzzin' doesn't mean I don't know what I'm doing."
Roy can't help worrying anyway, but he still makes himself breathe in, and then out, and then say:
"Okay. Then I think you should do it."
"Oh, I was gonna," Jamie says, playful, and Roy smiles at his sister's bathroom door like an idiot. "But also. Em. I don't—if I'm gonna come out publicly, I don't wanna have to like. Pretend like I'm single or whatever. Or like. If I do get my fucking retirement tour and we meet in a game or whatever, I don't wanna have to pretend like I'm not dead gone on you, you know?"
Roy's heart expands in his chest, like it's trying to make a run for it through his ribs or something, and he knows he's full-on grinning at the bathroom door when he says:
"Me either. Please feel free to mention me by name."
"Grand," Jamie says over the sound of a shower turning on. "Great. Well. I gotta go soon but uh. Wish me luck?"
"Good luck," Roy obliges. And then, because he's had nearly ten years of practice to make this bit easy, he adds: "I love you."
"Love you too."
*
"What a game," Arlo White shouts on TV a few hours later, while Ruth and Phoebe do a victory dance around the couch, where Sam and Keeley are singing Jamie's stupid fucking chant along with the crowds in the stadium.
"What a game! What a play! What a goal! And what an ovation for Jamie Tartt, indubitably the man of the match!"
"I agree," Chris Powell adds, sounding almost excited for once, "I'd even say: what a career! Jamie Tartt won it all! Honestly Arlo, I wouldn't be surprised if he decided to retire soon, I mean at this point what else does he need?"
"Oh shut the fuck up," Roy yells at the TV, earning himself a playful shove from Phoebe and a prod in the ribs from Keeley. "Stupid fucking pundits," he mutters into his champagne.
"That would be so much more convincing if you weren't pink with pride, babe," Keeley teases, and Roy grunts without heat.
The truth is, now that White and Powell have announced a transition on the ground and the camera switched to Barbara Carnahan on the side of the pitch, Roy feels himself tense with anticipation. Everyone here knows about him and Jamie, of course, but they don't know what he's planning to do. That leaves Roy alone to deal with the nerves of Jamie's impending announcement, and holy fucking shit, they're a lot.
"First of all," Carnahan says when she catches Jamie and gets him to stand in front of her camera, "I want to congratulate you on an absolutely marvelous game!"
Roy watches Jamie's tongue dart out in celebration, like he's a goddamned emoji or something, and finds himself gripping Keeley's hand out of sheer need to share the moment with someone.
"Thanks," Jamie says, sobering up a little bit, "We did really good, yeah!"
"Oh, definitely! How does it feel? Did you expect this when you woke up this morning?"
"Well, you know," Jamie says, running a hand through his hair, "nothing's ever certain, but I knew our chances were good, yeah, so I was like. Fairly optimistic about it."
"And you were right!" Carnahan agrees with a little bounce. "I'll admit I was nervous when the first half ended at one-one, but that goal in injury time was magnificent!"
"Yeah, Satō gave me a great assist there, that kid's gonna get far," Jamie says, wiping at his brow.
To Roy's left, Sam coos a little, happy to see one of his Marseille teammates get some recognition. He hasn't looked that cheerful since he busted his knee right before the Olympics started and he knew he had to sit the competition out.
"What was going on in your head at that moment?" Carnahan asks Jamie. "As the whistle blew and you realized you'd won, where did you mind go? Is there anyone you thought of in particular?"
"Well there's me mum, of course," Jamie says. "She's in the stands, and I'm really glad she could be here for this. And then there's my partner."
Around Roy, the living room falls into the most intense silence he's ever heards, even as Jamie adds:
"Actually, is it okay if I talk to him for a sec?"
"Him?" Carnahan asks, at the same time as Keeley and Phoebe shriek:
"WHAT?"
"Yeah, him," Jamie says, prompting Sam to shout and grab Roy's left shoulder. "Can I talk to him?"
And this. This wasn't the script, right? Roy thought—usually—this isn't. No. No!
...no?
"Oh my god, uncle Roy!" Phoebe is saying, gripping Roy's right shoulder, "Oh my god!"
"Yes, sure," Barbara Carnahan says with the dazed look of a reporter who's just been hit with the exclusive of the decade, "go ahead."
Jamie grins, and thanks her, and then he takes a deep breath—Roys mirrors him, can't help it, feels like he's about to explode, or melt, or both—
"Roy," Jamie says on the screen, eyes turned straight at the camera so it looks like he's actually watching Roy in 16:9 format, "it's hard to remember what it was like to hate you enough to nearly fight you right on the pitch."
Someone says a very strangled 'what the fuck' and it takes Roy a second to realize it's Keeley, but also the reporter on the telly.
"Turns out you're actually one of the best men I've ever fucking met—" ('Oh my god!' Says Keeley, slapping Roy's arm.) "You support me and challenge me all the fucking time, you're funny, and the grumpiest arse in the morning." ('OH MY GOD!' shouts Phoebe from behind Roy.) "I've spent nine years of my life loving you to your face, and you've taken it like a champ so far...so what do you say we make it official and tie the knot?"
"OH MY GOD!" Screams the living room, pushing and pulling and slapping at Roy.
He can barely breathe, feels himself grow twice, thrice, ten times bigger than he normally is, floating like a bubble of champagne as Phoebe nearly breaks his nose trying to shove his phone against his ear—"YOU HAVE TO FUCKING CALL HIM, UNCLE ROY!"
And then there's a dial tone, and some spluttering on tv, and more shouting, and a phone comes into view, lands against Jamie's ear, and then—
"You motherfucker!" Roy yells into the phone, and Jamie-on-the-screen blinks and grins, and Jamie-on-the-phone gives this little hitch of breath he does when he thinks 'I love you', and Roy is saying: "You absolute wanker! No fucking warning—"
And Jamie-on-the-screen scrunches his nose and grins harder, and Roy's heart goes into fucking overdrive, his pulse loud in his ears and in his palms, and Jamie-on-the-phone asks:
"So like, that's a yes, right?"
"Yes! Of course it's a yes you gigantic prick!" Roy yells, and Jamie-on-the-screen fist pumps while Roy's world turns into one giant shriek of joy, and then there's champagne popping, and four different footballers bursting on the screen to hug and jump up and down and shout so loud Roy hears them even when Jamie has to take the phone away from his ear.
"Oh my god!" Keeley shouts, muffled, into Roy's neck when he hangs up, knowing full well there's no way Jamie's getting back to his phone until much later tonight. "Congratulations! I'm so happy for you!"
"Did you really not know?" Phoebe asks, shouting into his other ear.
"I knew he wanted to come out and go public about us," Roy says, falling back from the adrenaline-induced shouting to the best sort of daze. "I didn't know he was going to propose!"
And Roy sounds grumpy about it, he knows he does—will probably get shit from Jamie about it as soon as his fucking plane lands, really! And his sister, his niece, his friends are being way too loud about it, and now his phone's buzzing and will probably keep buzzing for the next four or five hours, and Roy sounds grumpy but he does not mean it for a fucking second.
Cigarettes and Cliches (Part 1)
Tumblr media
Pairing: Lee Felix x Reader Word Count: 4.3k Genre: college au, slow burn romance, Warnings: 🔞, 18+, minors DNI, swearing, alcohol use, sexual themes,
He was the most impractical guy for you to be interested in, the incredibly handsome cliché bad boy who collected girls like trophies. As hard as you wanted to hate him his persistence and hidden softer side just could be your undoing.
It had been a month since that stupid party where Seungmin had managed to get himself injured, albeit a minor injury, and you were still feeling a bit protective of him. He never told you what the fight was about aside that some guys were being a bunch of dicks about a girl he knew so he stepped in to get them to stop, you never asked any other questions because you could tell he didn't want to talk about it. He had stayed home with you over the weekends for the 3 weeks after that letting Jeongin go and have fun while you made the both of you dinner and either studied or watched a movie together. That changed however on the fourth week.
"Are you going with Jeongin? you asked from the kitchen as they played video games in the lounge, Friday evening had rolled around once again too fast for your liking but you had a shift tonight that you needed to get ready for so you snacked as you finished up a few things.
"Yeah, everyone will have forgotten by now" he grinned back toothily while keeping his eyes focused on his character.
"Boys" you chuckled going around the kitchen island to get to your room "you do remember I'm out tonight yeah?"
"Oooh have a hot date?" Jeongin squealed excitedly pausing the game to look at you hopefully.
"Yeah with a coffee machine you twat, it's Friday night I'm working" you laughed as you shut the door behind you to change, as you did you could here the game not restart like you assumed it would.
"She needs to get out, she needs to date" Jeongin whined softly "There is more to life than her just studying and working".
"I know but you know how hard her parents are on her she got yelled at for over an hour when she told them she moved in here, we can't tell her how to live" Seungmin hissed as you continued to listen at the door.
"I just want her happy, she deserves to be happy and accounting is not going to make her happy it is going to make her parents happy. She will graduate, get a job, sit at a desk and never have a chance at life again to keep people who just run her down all the time happy" Jeongin was arguing getting a little louder as he went.
"Keep it down fuck wit she will hear you" Seungmin scolded "I want her to be happy too but we can't tell her she's making a mistake it isn't our life its hers". After a moment or so more the game unpaused and you could hear the sound of the game filter through the closed door as you rushed to get dressed and go.
"I'll see you guys later" you called as you rushed to the front door and out into the hallway.
Work was busy as always Friday nights usually started quiet and ended up a bit chaotic as people came in for coffee to sober up again, you and a few of the girls called it the witching hour as a joke since pretty much anything could and would happen. Not that you cared Friday nights paid well and you were always happy to have a little extra to spare in the bank if you could manage it. During your break you made yourself an iced tea and sat at the far end of the counter so you were out of the customers way and played on your phone. You could feel eyes on you but you were determined to ignore it you were about to go back on and witching hour was almost beginning, clearing your things you walked back around the counter and put your apron back on pulling in place over your head you noticed him, that pretty Felix guy that helped Seung home that night. He was on the far side of the room watching you with a strange look on his face, the girl hanging off of him hadn't noticed that he wasn't paying any attention to her but his friends had. Taking a breath you got back behind the coffee machine and started on the orders occasionally flicking your eyes to him to see if he was still looking at you which he was every single time.
"Excuse me miss" a honey smooth voice murmured to you making you startle slightly as you turned to him, he was taller than Felix but equally as stunning to look at, like a sculpture come to life.
"Can I help you?" you smiled politely trying not to look dazed.
"I hope so" he almost purred looking you over "I'm Hyunjin" he introduced himself seamlessly.
"Pleasure Hyunjin, but you haven't told me how I can help" you replied tilting your head.
"I was wondering what time you are getting off tonight? I thought you might like to join us" His voice was almost hypnotizing and you were sure that with the combination of this and his looks he could speak to any woman in the cafe and get them to follow him home.
"Who is us?" you asked zeroing on his words not his voice making him chuckled softly.
"In truth it would be you, me and my friends Minho and Felix he gestured behind him where you looked to see Seung's friend glaring at Hyunjin and another handsome guy laughing at him while the girls hanging off of them looked pissed Hyunjin was speaking to you at all.
"I don't think some of your numerous girlfriends would be that happy about that" you smiled politely before turning back to your orders not noticing Hyunjin's slightly baffled expression or how hard Felix immediately started laughing.
Two and a half hours later you were finishing up and saying goodbye to your co-workers when you noticed that Hyunjin, Minho and their gaggle of fangirls were no longer sitting in the back corner of the room however, Felix was still sitting there looking at something on his phone. He hadn't noticed you staring but he seemed to be conflicted about something as he typed then waited then typed again. You knew you should leave it but he was sitting alone in an fairly empty coffee shop on a Friday night which considering his other options seemed odd to you.
"Can I get you anything" you asked casually standing in front of him making his eyes flick up at you prepared to roll his eyes but he stopped as soon as he realized it was you.
"Have you finished for the night?" He asked smiling faintly "you aren't in one of those stupid aprons anymore".
"Yeah I have, thank you for the uniform critique, but I can still get you something if you wanted me to" you smiled awkwardly pressing your lips together.
"I'm good thanks" he nodded as he phone seemed to continue to chime nonstop with notifications.
"Alright then sorry to bother you" you nodded adjusting your bag and starting to turn around.
"You haven't bothered me and it's Felix, I forgot to introduce myself that night at your place after we got Seungmin and Jeongin back" he blurted out seeming every bit as nervous as you which was impossible since he was infamously attractive and had made his way through more girls than you even knew.
"I thought you were hanging out with your friends, at least that's what um...your friend said" you felt your face heat up not being able to remember the name of the handsome guy from earlier.
"Hyunjin" he chuckled looking genuinely happy "Yeah they have gone to party Hyunjin was a little deflated after you shot him down"
"Shot him down?" You yelped your eyes widening at the implication.
"I'm just kidding they were only wanting to tease you anyway, word got around the Seung and Innie have been hiding a cute roommate so Hyunjin just wanted to make them squirm about which one was hooking up with you" he chuckled looking back to his phone to silence it.
"Right...well have a good night then Felix" you mumbled feeling stupid for thinking that they were actually being friendly or that Felix might have hung around for another reason since you had definitely heard him say you were cute that night before he left. You walked towards the door not hearing him call out to you until he grabbed your elbow a few feet outside the café making you jump your heart pounding in your chest.
"You aren't walking home alone are you?" he sighed "It's not safe for girls to walk home alone at night".
"I always walk home alone" you snapped annoyed that he had embarrassed you and now scared you.
"Let me walk you this time then" he replied sounding irritated.
"Why would you even bother, just to give me shit? No thanks I already know that's all I'm good for thanks" You ground out utterly pissed at how handsome he looked but how much of a dick he apparently was. "Besides you didn't care when I was getting chucked out into the night so you could get your dick sucked why start caring now?" You pulled your arm from his grasp and walked away as calmly as you could leaving him as far behind as you could.
When you got back to your apartment you found only Seungmin was home, well his shoes were home but he wasn't alone so you crept passed his door hoping to not disturb him as you made your way to the kitchen to grab some water and painkillers to dull the headache you now had. For a moment you thought Seungmin and Jeongin had been right maybe you did need to date but Felix and his friends showed you just how untrustworthy some guys could be so maybe it was better to just stick to what you knew. As you stood in the kitchen contemplating your non existent love life you heard very familiar voice in the hall, Seungmin was obviously finished entertaining his 'guest' and he was seeing her out with an excuse that the other roommates couldn't know she was there. Sighing you waited to see if Seungmin made his way into the kitchen or back into his room.
"When did you get back?" he asked as he rounded the corner seeing you standing there staring off into space.
"A few minutes ago, I didn't overhear if that's what you're worried about" you sighed not feeling like you could do the normal back and forth with him tonight.
"No, I was just wondering, are you alright?" he asked leaning his back against the counter so he could see your face.
"Long shift, annoying customers" you nodded trying to mask your annoyance.
"You seem sad that's all" he pressed a little making you more irritated.
"I'm fine Seung, I'm just tired" you smiled tightly "I'll see you in the morning" you left him standing there knowing he would ask more questions in the morning hopefully not in front of Jeongin.
Morning came and you had been correct more questions followed though annoyingly Seungmin seemed to have filled in, the not as hung over as you had hoped, Jeongin.
"Do you feel better this morning?" Jeongin welcomed you from the kitchen as you left your room.
"Yeah I do thanks. How was the party? you seem pretty chipper this morning" you smiled hoping you could just have Jeongin spill the tea for the next hour to keep your from having to explain anything.
"It was amazing, Hyunjin and Minho arrived late without Felix which is strange but apparently some girl turned Hyunjin down, like who turns down Hyunjin honestly, anyway that probably isn't true but who knows maybe it is and Minho was giving him shit about it since apparently Felix has a crush on her but that has to be shit Felix doesn't have crushes he fucks his way through campus" Jeongin began which instantly made you annoyed again why would he be so invested in the lives of fuck boys even if they are his friends "but that helped us all hook up though after they picked who they wanted the others just always gravitate towards us since we're their friends, Seung picked up some girl who was devastated that Felix wasn't there so good for him".Jeongin continued to babble and you tuned out continuing to nod like you cared until Seungmin interrupted.
"You have that look on your face again, the one from last night" he called you out easily.
"I'm fine I just had a weird conversation with some friends of yours and one was a jerk that's all" You sighed hoping you could play down everything.
"Which friends?" Seungmin asked seeming surprised.
"Not important Seung was back when I got in from work but you weren't Innie" you prodded "spill".
"Oh yeah so after Seungmin left with that chick Felix did show up and he was pissed, I don't know what happened before he got there, but Hyunjin and Minho were giving him shit then these other guys decided it would be fun to chime in and Felix lost it so he punched one of them and he and Minho ended up taking on like four guys, Felix will probably have a black eye but they are always in fights so it's not like that's never happened before" Jeongin continued loving that your were interested but again Seungmin interrupted.
"Which of our friends were rude to you?" he asked again with far more authority making you frown.
"Hyunjin and Felix, apparently I turned the mighty Hyunjin down even though he only wanted me to hang out with him to give you two shit about which one of you was fucking me and then Felix was a prick about it all, it was nothing really" you sighed.
"Hold on you're the one who turned down Hyunjin?" Jeongin's eyes widened in disbelief.
"I didn't turn him down he came over while I was working and introduced himself then he asked if I wanted to hang out with them after I finished work. I told him that the girls that were all over them didn't seem thrilled with that idea then went back to work" you explained, mainly to Jeongin who was looking like he was too shocked to speak.
"And Felix?" Seung asked softly looking like he knew more than you did which confused you.
"They left, Felix stayed when I finished I asked him if i could get him anything and he told me they only asked me to hang out to give you two shit and then scared the shit out of me on the street when he grabbed my arm, he offered to walk me home. I declined. End of my super exciting story" you tried not to sound fed up but honestly you were not only had they made you feel insignificant, Jeongin couldn't believe they would waste their time on you and Seungmin had slept with Nali, not that he knew that you knew.
"I'm sure he didn't mean to scare you but we have both told you not to walk home after your night shifts and get an cab instead" Seungmin chastised you slightly.
"Did Nali take a cab home after you fucked her then Seungmin?" you snapped looking his dead in the eyes making him flush pink his mouth falling open "Yeah that's what I thought, I think maybe the no dating and no men thing is something I'll stick to for now but thank you for both spending your time worrying that I'm wasting my life" you seethed as you turned walked back to your room to get ready to go out. You had no idea where you would go you just needed to be away from them, it was irrational for you to be angry with them it wasn't their fault that Felix had made you feel like a fool but the fact that they defended him over listening to what you had to say had pushed you too far.
When you reemerged from your room both of the guys looked guilty since they must have realized that they had been overheard their conversations about you at some point but you didn't speak you just scooped up your bag and walked out needing time to calm down before you spoke to them again and apologized for being short with them. Just wandering you found yourself in the public gardens beside the university, you hardly ever took time to wander between your classes, studying, working you didn't actually have time to do much else. The gardens were beautiful in the quiet of the morning, still a little too early for the party goers to have emerged, it was still and quiet which made you feel calmer. Slowly making your way around the pathways you came across no one so you decided to just sit and think. Seungmin and Jeongin were right in a sense, you did live your life to meet your parents expectations and you did do everything you could for them to be proud of you but you were missing out. Maybe you weren't missing much in the way of dating morons or one night stands, which weren't your thing, but just the mere fact you had never even taken the time to actually wander the gardens that were so close to where you spent so much time did prove that you were missing out on really living your life. Sighing you knew you were going to have to apologize to them but only if they were willing to not dismiss you so easily.
"I didn't think gardens were your thing? they don't have anything to do with studying" his deep voice drawled from somewhere to the right of you, shaking you from your thoughts.
"You don't actually know anything about me Felix" you frowned looking towards him to take in his appearance. He wasn't in his trademark leather jacket and black jeans, just blue jeans and a grey hoodie, looking suspiciously young and innocent with the exception of the purplish looking bruise blooming on his cheek.
"I know, but maybe I want to" he shrugged walking over to you and sitting at the opposite end of the bench from you.
"Why bother I'm not going to be another conquest for you so I doubt I'm very interesting to you" you sighed trying not to sound annoyed at him and failing since his face fell slightly.
"Do you think I can't have friends? I don't have sex with every girl I know" he smirked as you looked over his face finding yourself drawn to try to count the freckles on the bridge of his nose.
"From your body count I doubt that very much and that wasn't there when I last saw you" you gestured to his face.
"No I got this later" he murmured looking sad for a moment before schooling his face.
"Want to talk about it?" you offered softly not knowing why you would even ask him, he kept giving you mixed signals and you couldn't decipher them.
"It was just a fight nothing important?" he shrugged fiddling with the cuff of his hoodie a bit. "I'm sorry I scared you last night after you got off work, I called after you but you obviously didn't hear me, I shouldn't have just grabbed you" he smiled at you this time.
"No you shouldn't have, grabbing a woman in the street at night is a dick move, but thanks I guess" you relented.
"Seung said you're doing accounting, do you like it?" he continued still smiling.
"Not really but it's what I'm supposed to do" you admitted reluctantly "I was interested in other careers but accounting is more stable I guess" you explained "What department are you in?".
"Arts" he smiled examining you closely "I'm doing English Lit, is it your parents wanting you to do accounting?".
"Umm... yeah" you nodded slowly now watching him as closely as he was scrutinizing you.
"It's hard to make your parents proud" he breathed sadness flashing across his eyes.
"Yeah it's almost impossible" you agreed clearing your throat awkwardly "I have to head back Felix bye" you half smiled standing up quickly you didn't like how unbalanced he was making you feel.
"You too Choi" he smiled leaning further back on the bench and closing his eyes. Your eyes lingered on him for a few more seconds before you left feeling less annoyed in general but still frustrated by everything.
The walk back to your shared apartment felt longer than it had on the way out this morning which you figured was probably the difference between annoyance and guilt. You could hopefully smooth everything over with Seung and Innie, after all it wasn't their fault you hadn't really explained the situation or how you had felt, you had tried to minimize it which of course would leave to misunderstandings. Plus you liked the boys they were easy to live with so you hoped they wouldn't ask you to leave. Keying in your code you slipped off your shoes and padded towards the kitchen where you assumed they would be to be once again caught in a situation where you were snooping.
"Chan, we didn't mean to make her upset" you could hear a voice whine over the phone.
"Not the point Hyunjin, Seung and Innie have potentially lost a housemate because you guys thought she was an easy source of amusement" Chan groaned and you just stayed still thinking about how to fake that you weren't overhearing another private conversation.
"She seems real nice too" another voice that you didn't recognize said.
"She's better than nice" Seungmin replied dryly "She's kind, sweet and always helpful, not to mention easy on the eye which helps".
"She is cute, is that why you decided to play her? she's the only cute girl one of the three of you hasn't fucked?" Innie almost spat sounding more annoyed that you had heard him before.
"It's not like that" Hyunjin instantly answered "It wasn't about teasing her it was about pissing off you guys and Felix, you should have seen the way he was looking at her she has him whipped and she doesn't even know".
"I highly doubt that" Chan sighed skeptically "Felix doesn't want a girlfriend he wants to stick his dick in every girl he can".
"She's too good for him anyway" Seungmin grumbled "too smart and too steady for the guy who can't date someone for longer than a fortnight".
"Damn Seung savage" one said but you weren't sure who as you crept quietly back down the hallway hearing them laughing, jamming your feet roughly back into your shoes to make nothing suspicious you loudly open and shut the door taking your shoes off again.
"Seung? Innie? you home?" you called down the hall knocking on each of their doors as you passed them.
"In the lounge" Innie called as you made your way into the kitchen and opened the fridge to grab some water.
"Alright look I'm really...Hi" you pretended to be surprised that there were other people in the apartment.
"This is Han" Innie smiled at you like he was actually thrilled you were home "I can't remember if you have met before and of course you know the others".
"Hi all" you waved from where you were standing "Han and I have met, I think I have met all your friends but one now" you poked your tongue into your cheek.
"Who haven't you met?" Seung tilted his head looking at you.
"I think his name is Minho, he's apparently glued to your mates Hyunjin and Felix" you smiled "I mean he waved but you have never introduced me to him, although same could have been said for Hyunjin".
"Yeah we did try to keep you away from them" Innie admitted as you walked around the kitchen island to move closer to the group lounging around on the sofas.
"I noticed" you chuckled "It's fine Innie I get it".
"No it's not because we think you need to stay away from them it's just that we know they aren't your type of person so.." Innie tried to explain quickly.
"Innie, it's fine I don't need to know all your friends I'm not your mother" you laughed rolling your eyes at him before retreating to your room.
"She seems fine guys I don't get why you were so panicked" Changbin chuckled as you shut your door.
"I get Felix's interest now she is pretty cute" Han whisper shouted making you roll your eyes as you heard Seung and Innie protest loudly and they all began bickering.
"Look we both get that she's cute but back off she's like super innocent the last thing she needs is any of you fuckers messing her around" Seung whispered back.
"When you say innocent?" Changbin asked softly.
"She hasn't hooked up with a single guy since she started collage, I'm pretty sure she's a virgin" Innie blurted like he was spilling some kind of tea which made you put your face in your hands embarrassed that they were discussing your sex life.
"How would you even guess that kind of information Innie, bloody hell if she overheard you know she would be mortified" Chan scolded.
"Trust me she is" you yelled through the door hoping that it made them cringe at the whole idea because you were mortified that it had been so obvious to Jeongin that you had pretty much no experience in that department, outside of a few sloppy make out sessions and the moment you lost your virginity which you hadn't enjoyed so you had never bothered to go back for seconds.
"Her bedroom walls are thin" Changbin laughed awkwardly as you flopped down on your bed hoping to not have to face any of them ever again.
the moment that question left atiena's mouth, a chill ran down your spine. you were hoping, praying, that she wouldn't know. that no one would know. and yet here you were, alone in a dark room with no one but a stranger that knew who you were.
"i... uh... i don't--"
"no use trying to hide it," atiena chuckled, shaking her head. she leaned back in her chair and her wings spread out behind her, making her seem bigger than she was. "you're a lion beastman."
"so?" why did you say it like that? oh, great seven, have mercy...
"let's see..." atiena hummed, bringing her hand up to her chin. "to start with, you weren't from the dens. that much was obvious when my son had to explain the very concept to you."
you pursed your lips.
"and so that only left the kingscholar territory. because gods know that the others in the outlands wouldn't let in a lion beastman," she continued.
"but... how did you know i was a kingscholar?" you managed to mutter, your body beginning to tremble at the mere thought of what could happen.
will she send me back?
"i wouldn't have thought you were a kingscholar at first," atiena explained before standing up. she walked over to the wall and reached up, grabbing a paper that was hanging on a corkboard covered in other sheets. she sat back down in her chair and placed the poster on the table.
missing: prince/ss (name) kingscholar
"...ah."
"we don't normally get knews from the kingscholar territory, but the king seemed adamant on getting these out," she mused, her smile no longer seeming to reach her eyes. "they're worried about you. as a mother, i can tell just from this poster alone."
"...how?" you hissed, crossing your arms in a huff.
"...now i can't say for certain, but i think of it that way because of fast it got to us out here," atiena mutters, leaning forward. "see, on the rare occasion we do get news from the kingdom, it's usually already outdated. but this?" she taps the poster. "this is recent news."
"...because i'm a royal," you rolled your eyes, ignoring the twisting and clenching in your chest. "that's why."
"...maybe," atiena merely shrugs. "back to the topic, why are you out here?"
you don't know what compelled you to answer. perhaps it was a weird game the king of beasts was playing. or perhaps it was simply just a cruel twist of fate. but, in the end, it didn't matter what caused it.
"i ran away."
"well, i gathered that much, little cub," atiena laughed, this time a real, genuine laugh. "i asked why."
"...the people in the castle are... cruel."
and, as if atiena knew the true life you lived, she didn't push any further. she simply nodded and stood up, leaving you alone in the interrogation room with nothing but the poster with your name and face plastered on it.
Tumblr media
it wasn't until light flooded the room that you tore your eyes away from the poster. you turned in your chair to see atiena, her head peeking through the doorway and her wings casting a large shadow inside.
"come on, little cub," she hummed, waving her hand. you lingered in the chair for a moment.
i don't want to go. what if she sends me back? what if... the elders are out there?
"don't keep us waiting," atiena smiled softly. her voice wasn't full of malice or annoyance, but rather understanding. "else nuru'll come running to drag you out."
and, once more, the door closed, leaving you in the dark with the poster. that dreaded poster.
r--iiiiiip
Tumblr media
"there they are," atiena mused, her wings flapping behind her gently. nuru, who was previously running around, skidded to a halt and changed course towards you.
"finally! took ya' long enough!" nuru laughed as if he were greeting a lifelong friend. "c'mon, c'mon, c'mon!"
"huh, i... uh..." you stammered as nuru dragged you by the arm. you looked over their shoulder at atiena, who merely smiled and waved her hand as if bidding her children adieu. with no help from atiena, you turned your attention back to nuru, who continued to run through the village with you in tow. "where are we going?!"
"ma says you're gonna stay with us for now!" nuru beamed. with his back now turned to them, you could see little white wings poking out from his shirt. "ya gotta meet my friends!"
you didn't get another word out before nuru stopped. you bumped into his back as he knocked on the door in front of him.
"jabali! jabori!" he called, his small wings moving excitedly on his back. "open the door!"
"no!" another squeaky voice shouted from inside the house.
"wha-- why not?!" nuru huffed, crossing his arms. his wings now flipping on his back.
"didn't you hear? your mom brought an outsider here," the same voice whined.
"shush!" nuru hissed, his grip tightening on your arm. "jus' open the door, jabori!"
"what?!" the door finally slammed open. twins stood on the other side, one sporting a scowl while the other seemed to cower behind him.
freckles dusted their faces and shoulders, the speckles just barely visible on their dark skin. their brown hair was tipped with light cream, the curls nearly mixing with the dark brown ears that twitched on their heads. sa if in response to each other, your ears twitched a second before the twins' did.
"that's the outsider!" the second twin, the one that opened the door, growled. he leaned closer to nuru and whispered (still loud enough for you to hear), "what are you doing bringing them over here?!"
"'s fine," nuru grinned before pulling you forward. he motioned up and introduced, "they're from kingscholar territory! so 's not like they're a den dweller or anythin'."
"still!" the first twin whined, shuffling closer to his brother. "we don't know... anything about them, ru!"
"i'm right here," you finally grumbled, pulling your arm out of nuru's grasp. "at least tell me to go away if you're gonna talk about me."
just like them.
"then get outta here," the second twin huffed, waving his hand.
"no! they're stayin'!" nuru demanded, reaching back to grab onto you once more. "look, they're nice! ma said so!"
"did she?" the three children questioned in unison.
"mhm! mhm! she said to get them used to the village!" nuru grinned, turning to look over at you. "sorry about them! they're... really my only friends i trust."
"aw," the first twin smiled, only to be elbowed by his brother.
"look," the second twin sighed, "if... if you want us to get along, come back in the morning. it's, like, the end of your mom's shift, right? so it's like two in the morning or somethin' like that."
"...ah," nuru laughed nervously before nodding. "'s a promise, 'kay?"
"mhm," the twins hummed almost absentmindedly. and without a proper goodbye, they shut the door.
"that went well!" nuru grinned, prompting you to roll your eyes. you didn't say anything and nuru didn't seem to mind. all he did was hum to himself as he grabbed you by the hand, dragging you back the way you came through the cold, quiet streets of mwezi miji.
Day 12 - First time
Thanks again for putting mushy may together @forlorn-crows! Wc:700 First time Phantom gets a haircut
Tumblr media
Cirrus watched as Phantom struggled with getting his hair out of his face while playing on his switch. It was starting to get long, almost past his shoulders, and it clearly bothered him. She walked over to him and brushed his hair out of his face for him. “You okay, Bug?” She asked. Phantom paused his game and turned to look at her. “No, I can't see anything because my hair won't stay in place!” He told her as he put the switch away. “How about a haircut?” She suggested. Phantom thought about it. He’d never had a haircut before, but his hair was always in his eyes and it was impossible to manage. “I guess” He sighed, pulling his hair back, “Who will cut it?” He then asked. Cirrus smiled, bouncing on her feet “I'll cut it, I cut the others hair all the time” she said excitedly “I’ll do it now if you want”
She pulled him to her bathroom and sat him down on the counter so he was facing the mirror. She pulled out one of the drawers and started taking out everything she would need while Phantom tried to decide how he wanted his hair. Deciding what hairstyle he wanted was proven to be very difficult, he just wanted less hair and he didn't really know how he wanted it to look.
“Okay, so how do you want your hair?” She asked as she started combing through it with her fingers. I don't know, just shorter and out of the way” He asked more than said, wringing his hands together in his lap. “Okay, we can do that, but I need a bit more, like, do you want it all gone or just a trim?” Phantom looked down, he really didn't know, well, he knew he didn't want it all gone, but just less hair and for it to look good. “I want to have hair left that looks good, you decide how to make it look good though” He didn't want to think about it more, there were too many options and he couldn't decide. “That I can do” She said as she started holding up his hair in different directions, looking and measuring it.
“I'm just gonna wet your hair a bit, so it's easier to cut, okay?” She made sure to tell him what she was going to do, so he wouldn't get scared or overwhelmed by everything new. Phantom nodded and she started spraying his hair and brushing it. When it was untangled and knot-free she started combing through it and cutting the ends off, chicking in with Phantom every step of the way. She cut some layers and cut his bangs to frame his face in a nice way. He had quite wavy hair naturally, so layers suited him very well.
When the cutting was done, it was time to make his neck look sharp. “This might tickle a bit and be a little noisy” She warned before she started. Phantom giggled as she cleaned his neck up, the buzzing tickling.
“We’re almost done, but would you like some temporary color in your hair?” She asked, holding up a purple, a blue and a red color. Phantom wanted to and decided to color the white in his hair purple. He loved his white, but purple would be fun to have.
Cirrus put the hair dye in her hand and started applying it in his bangs, making sure every white hair turned out purple. They let the color sit while Cirrus cleaned up everything she wouldn't need any more and when the timer rang, they rinsed it out. She blow dried his hair and made sure to give it volume and style it a little bit extra.
“And we're done…” She said as she held a mirror up behind him. “What do you think?” Phantom stared at himself in the mirror. There was way less hair than before and it wasn't in his eyes, but it still had length. “Wow, it looks amazing Cirrus!” He said as he hoped down from the counter. “Thank you so much!” He crashed into her in a hug, continuing to thank her.
I LOVE your Noir stories! I would love to maybe see a fic where Noir captures the Reader after they committed (or was accused of) a crime, trying to interrogate them only for thick ~tension~ to be between them
THANK YOU ANONNNN <333 ok tbh, i was unsure what was indicated by "thick ~tension~", but this was my interpretation, and i hope it serves <: )) ONCE AGAIN TY ANON, HOPING YOU LIKE THIS <333
(reblogs are greatly appreciated, it helps get my content out there! if you guys like what you see, please reblog it too <:D)
Tumblr media
"well... i don't what went through that thick skull of yours, probably nothing at all, but i just need to know--why'd you do it?" he asked you as if he were asking a child why they disobeyed, why they did something they were explicitly told not to, almost as if he anticipated you would screw up and would be in this very room, cuffed to the table, seated on a cold, metal chair, hunched over with a frown and furrowed eyebrows. he's been through this charade multiple times already, it's starting to bore him a little.
your frown slowly changed into a sly little smile, you sighed as you looked up at the man, scowling at you a tad bit. "come on now, we both know i'm strapped of cash! like, i can't wait for a miracle to come along or some rich fella in search of a spouse. you and i both know how grimy this world is, and you and i both know how incredibly difficult society likes to make my life. i'm playing the hardest game at an impossible setting, i can never win. especially not when your nerdy ass is around, acting like some... puppy dog for law enforcement." you sneered as you looked him up and down, leaning against the walls of the interrogation room with his arms crossed over his chest.
he had his long rolled up-sleeved button-up on, with a gray cashmere vest on, with a black tie tucked underneath. he had long black slacks that accentuated the length of his legs, a bit of his long black socks showing as his feet, in classy black dress shoes, was in front of the other.
he shook his head and sighed. he adjusted his glasses as he thought of what to say to you. "i've been doing my damn best trying not to let you get into much trouble. i've known you all my life, to call you a criminal would be an insult to myself. because i believe you can be good. i know you're good, you don't want this to happen." he says as he moves over to the table and leans against it, facing you closer now than before.
"listen... what'll it take for you to stop this life of crime? something manageable, something i can actually do." he asked you, desperate for an answer, for anything, really.
you looked at him seriously in the eyes, in his darn beautiful gray to brown eyes that pierced your own. you watched as his black eyebrows furrowed even the slightest bit, trying to prove his point that you were a good person--but you seem to prove everyone else's belief: "emphasis on the were" bit.
you broke into laughter at the sight of his seriousness, how could he possibly think you were capable of being a goody two shoes when the world's treated you like utter crap?
"oh, parker... you never change." you wheezed out as you continued your fit of laughter. peter sighed as he pinched the bridge of his tall nose. he took off his glasses and ran a hand across his face as he looked back at you, wholly disappointed.
"now what do you mean by that?" he asks you as he looks at you expectantly for an answer, an appropriate and justifiable one that would hopefully prove his point, despite you just disproving it mere seconds ago.
"what else could i possibly mean by that? you were disappointed i joined a band of lowlife nerds then stole the shit i helped them steal after they were about to throw me under the bus... and yet you get mad at me. you never change, you were always a little priss, parker." you practically fumed at him.
"i'm just looking out for you." he said through gritted teeth as he walked back over the table and glowered over you, his presence, for the first time in... ever, intimidated you. you had known peter benjamin parker ever since you were younger, he was a sweet boy who always followed the rules, who helped keep you in line with everyone else. he never changed, except for one bit: he became scarier. and you really had to admit it, it was kinda hot.
he slowly grabbed your cheeks and dug into the flesh a little, a small noise escaping your lips as he turned your head to look at him in the eyes, you having nowhere else to look at but him. "i'm always, always looking out for your dumb ass. why do you make it so hard for me to do that, to keep you as civilized as possible?" he asked through gritted teeth as he tightened his grip around your cheeks ever so often.
his touch indicated he had no intention of hurting you, not one bit. he just wanted to ask you out of pure concern, but you hated how scary he was getting; he really did change, just the slightest bit.
"you think i wanna be civil about it, parker?" you taunted with a chortle and a wide, mischievous smile. "fuck being civil, you can't live on civility alo--" you said, but you were cut off by peter slamming his fist against the metal table, the sounds of the contact between his muscle and the table reverberated throughout the room, frightening you into silence.
"language." was all he told you as he let go of your cheeks and walked off to think in the corner. you felt a heat creep up in your cheeks, a small blush was wrapping around your face; oh you darn fool, you fell for your nerdy friend, who had a slight glow up... you fell for the scary, intimidating, law-abiding nerd, peter benjamin parker.
a part of you wants him to get mad again, see the fire in his beautiful gray and brown irises, to watch him run his hand across his hair, maybe tug at it if you frustrated him enough; to have him grasp at your cheeks roughly... oh you plan to keep pissing him off, getting in trouble, and being sat down in this room with him again for a long, long time.
you smiled slyly at him as he rubbed his forehead, his lips frowning slightly, but you smirking to yourself as you took pleasure in his frustration, in his handsome frustration. "i might just try getting into more trouble if you keep acting all high and mighty like that, parker." you whispered, to which he heard and let out a guttural groan of pure frustration at that. "i can never catch a damn break."
a/n: HI SORRY IF THIS WASN'T WHAT YOU MEANT ANON, AND SORRY IF I CUT IT OFF REALLY BADLY AAAAA TT I HOPE YOU LIKE IT THOUGH AND I'M SORRYYYY
Itzy´s Manager
Ryujin X fem! Reader X Yeji
Description: You are Itzy's manager and are always by their side. But what happens when your responsibilities undergo a complete change, and now, especially for Yeji and Ryujin, you do everything to ensure their satisfaction? What do you do if they suddenly fall in love with you?
Warnings: Smut, Ryujin and Yeji G!P
Chapter 4:
Yeji's POV
I smiled as I waved to my fans. Today, we were heading to America. Y/n walked ahead of all of us, making sure we weren't swarmed by fans.
"Midzyyyy, I love you," I exclaimed in English, which instantly caused the fans to cheer. I chuckled and continued walking. I could hear the sound of many photos being taken, so I glanced back at the others.
Ryujin walked right behind y/n, almost as if she was trying to apologize, but y/n simply ignored her. I couldn't help but smirk at the situation between them.
Only I knew what was going on... Somehow... it felt good.
It didn't take long for us to board the plane. Comfortable seats, as the flight would be quite long. My eyes fell on y/n. She was sitting right next to me.
I chuckled as I looked at the younger girl. She had pulled her white cap low over her face and had already fastened her seatbelt. "You're a good girl, aren't you?" I asked, and y/n flinched almost immediately.
She looked at me with wide eyes, her cheeks visibly blushing. Confused, my forehead furrowed. Suddenly, my mouth opened. Please don't tell me she likes being called that...
I grinned to myself, raising my eyebrows. She... had that look on her face that drove me crazy... all because she fastened her seatbelt. Something so ordinary.
I swallowed hard as I bit my lip. My hand landed on hers since she had her arm on the armrest. She flinched again, but soon relaxed. She turned her head towards me.
But I just smiled at y/n's reaction. I looked straight into her eyes. "You know... I never really thanked you for being there for us," I said, and y/n looked at me with surprise. The slightly smaller girl couldn't help but smile.
"Oh. What for? I really enjoy doing it... it's fun to spend time with you all. You guys are entertaining," she replied, and my eyes sparkled a bit. I leaned my upper body closer. My lips close to her ear.
"Oh... I know exactly how much fun you had with Ryujin," I whispered softly into her ear. Almost instantly, she recoiled and looked at me with a wide-open mouth and eyes. She raised her hands defensively.
I smirked, my hand gripping one of her wrists. "I find it very unfair, you know? Why can Ryujin take her stress out on you, but I can't?" I asked, raising one of my eyebrows.
Y/n hesitated. She looked around, making sure no one was overhearing our conversation. Y/n bit her lip as she looked back at me. "I'm your manager... I... should help relieve some of your stress," she replied, and I couldn't help but grin almost immediately.
I chuckled. "You truly are... a very good girl," I whispered softly in her ear, and I noticed her hand gripping the seat even more tightly. I laughed quietly.
I looked around. We were still standing, and everyone was engaged in conversation except for Ryujin. She had probably stayed up all night playing a game and was now fast asleep.
The plane started moving, and eventually, we were in the air. Y/n and I were sitting at the back. The others seemed to be playing UNO. No one paid any attention to us.
I bit my lip as I looked back at y/n. I narrowed my eyes at her. "Why don't we start then?" I asked, looking at y/n. The smaller girl looked at me nervously.
"Here?" She asked, and i grinned. I nodded my head. Fortunately, y/n was wearing loose shorts, so they could easily be moved to the side.
I took a deep breath at the thought. I patted my lap, and y/n's eyes widened. She swallowed and unbuckled her belt from her waist. Slowly and cautiously, she stood up from her seat and sat on my lap.
——————————————————————————— Y/n POV
My heart was racing uncontrollably. So, I sat on Yeji's lap, and it didn't take long for her hands to be on my hips, starting to move me.
My mouth opened as I felt something hard. I turned my head to Yeji, but she just looked at me with pure desire. Her cat-like eyes were even more narrowed than usual.
I fell silent. I said nothing. Her gaze and her eyes were enough for me. I didn't need more...
——————————————————————————— Begin of the Smut scene
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Smut!!!!!!
I swallowed as I continued to rub against her. The bulge in her pants was growing, and the heat radiated through her jeans. I bit my lip.
I could feel her through my loose shorts. My breath hitched. She was... bigger than expected. I licked my lips.
It was so wrong... but... Yeji was driving me crazy. It was even worse than with Ryujin...
My breath caught as I felt Yeji making my hips float. I heard her zipper. She moved aside my shorts and underwear. My eyes widened.
Right here... this would be my first time.
Yeji's fingers glided over my vagina. I felt her breath on my shoulder. She left many wet kisses on my shoulders. Her lips also traveled to my neck.
"Are you ready, baby?" she asked, and she smirked slightly. "Are you a good girl?" she asked, raising her eyebrows. At that compliment, my thighs twitched. I swallowed.
I really liked being called that...
Only after a short while, I felt Yeji positioning herself perfectly. Her member caressed my walls. Soon after, she pressed my hip down. Immediately, I covered my mouth with my hand.
Yeji's eyes widened as if she felt something. She paused and looked at me. Her mouth was open, and her eyes were wide. "Were you... a virgin?" she asked, shocked, as she paused, and I nodded my head.
She blinked. "What?! Why... why didn't you tell me, damn it?!", she said, now a bit angrier. Her eyes narrowed as she looked at me. I looked back at her over my shoulder.
"You... Um... you didn't ask," I replied, and Yeji sighed in frustration. Her hands on my hips loosened. She leaned closer to my neck. "I'm sorry... I'm sorry... if I had known beforehand... then... fuck," Yeji rambled, visibly overwhelmed.
But I smiled slightly, tears welling up in my eyes. I started moving my hips slowly, but Yeji stopped me. She looked at me quite seriously.
"Don't force yourself... We'll... have your first time properly," Yeji said as she looked at me. She still left feather-light kisses on my shoulders and neck.
I hummed a little. The pain I felt... it was gone. I could only feel Yeji deep inside me. "It's okay, Yeji... Really," I said softly. I looked at her, my hands on my own knees.
Yeji hesitated. Only after I told her again and again, she slowly started moving. I desperately tried not to moan out loud, but occasional sighs and soft cries escaped me. Several times, I had to catch my breath.
But eventually, Yeji placed her hand over my mouth while gently and rhythmically moving her hips against mine. The rest of the world seemed oblivious.
I could feel Yeji biting my shoulder. Her breath became uncontrolled, and her movements lost their rhythm. Her teeth dug into my flesh as she began to tremble.
"Fuck. I'm coming," she warned, but she didn't show any intention of pulling out. Honestly... I didn't want her to either. I moved my hips against hers.
But of course, I was careful not to let anyone notice. Yeji's hand on my mouth, while my tongue pressed against her hand. My eyes rolled back a bit as Yeji found my G-spot. She targeted it multiple times until she finally released all her stress into me.
She slowly pulled out of me. I could feel something flowing, but I quickly adjusted my clothing. My flushed face immediately looked away...
It was wrong... but why did it feel so good?
Yeji took a deep breath as she tucked her now limp tail back into her pants. She also tried to control her breathing, but she couldn't as she intended. Her eyes sparkled as she looked at me.
"Fuck... you're such a good girl... we should share a room," Yeji said as she watched me sit back down. My face contorted slightly as I felt the white creamy substance inside me.
——————————————————————————— Smut scene finished
After a while of not speaking to Yeji, we finally landed in America. I quickly made my way to the restroom at the airport to freshen up.
My jaw dropped when I noticed a red spot on my neck. Nervously, I shook my head and tried to wipe it away as best as I could, but rubbing only made it worse.
I swallowed nervously. Hopefully, no camera would capture me. But even if they did... I'm just the manager. No one would pay attention to me. That was a good thing...
Only a few minutes passed, and I already noticed some fans. They were screaming the names of the members. I smiled politely, but my forehead furrowed in anger when I noticed a much younger boy being pushed back by a teenager just so she could get closer to Ryujin.
I immediately approached the boy. "Whom do you want to see?" I asked, and the little boy blushed slightly. "Ryujin unnie," he said as he handed me a pen and a plush frog. I smiled and didn't accept them.
"Ryujin," I said loudly, and almost instantly, the bodies of all the members turned towards me. I smiled as I waved Ryujin over. She followed my instruction and looked at the boy. She smiled politely and promptly gave the boy an autograph and took a photo with him.
I smiled contentedly and bid my farewell with a wave. My eyes fell on the teenager who looked quite bitchy. I must have appeared somewhat annoyed, but I didn't say anything. I simply continued walking.
Fuck...
There would probably be many videos...
Especially with this red spot on my neck?!
