So things that make me currently happy are watching Schimanski Tatort, listening to a playlist I made years ago, sleeping a lot and talking to my friends about or current reads, and being on tumblr also makes me happy ;)

do you ever see a person and you are overcome with incredible fondness? and you just think "oh." but not in a romantic or sexual way you are just filled with warmth and it makes you happy, it just does. and you think "i'm so happy you exist. i'm happy you are somewhere out there in the world, doing your thing". it's love but also not entirely

Like we literally have a sliver of a chance at getting Blue Georgia and Blue North Carolina in this years election and genuinely it feels like people are just willing to throw that out. Hell, even Texas over the past 20 years has had a BIG shift in voting habits.

I think Laios's father represents a version of Laios who never found people who supported him and his interests; someone who was hurt one too many times by his inability to communicate or read social cues, and has fully retracted into himself as a result.

Very similar to Laios, he's grown to prefer the company of beasts over men, and hunts for food as a means of escapism. The only difference is Laios has people to share these interests with, while his father had only his hounds. His description here especially makes him seem not particularly uncaring, just sad and lonely.

Do you think at one point he was as cheerful as Laios?

Also, some people may not even regard everything listed above as flaws.

Having negative traits allows incredible flexibility within your characters, what makes them intriguing, what makes them easy to relate to. If you want to write people, then write people. But they can’t be good and clean all the time.

i (145M) never told my husband (514M) that when we started dating i was vividly hallucinating our shared ex (262M) to the point that i was opening doors for him and feeling the air on my skin when he moved, and seeing him during intimate moments. the guy we're holding hostage and telling my life story to (70M) thinks this means i was schizophrenic, but i think it was fine and normal. Unity is fucking up so bad rn that I saw several indie devs on twitter saying they did the math and it would literally be cheaper for them to hire a small team to port their games out of Unity rather than pay the install fee. Like if Unity had a monopoly they could MAYBE get away with this bcs there wouldn't be any other options, but I can think of at least three different game engines off the top of my head rn(and it's entirely possible for a studio with the right resources to just make their own) so the CEO has literally, in ONE day, made it easier and cheaper for everyone to just stop using his product than to pay the fees they're asking for. This dude is speedrunning destroying his company. He saw Elon Musk nuke twitter and went "hold my beer". Fucking incredible. I'd almost think it was on purpose if it wasn't so goddamn stupid.
