You had always known Kaveh to be an incredibly kind human being; from the very first moment you met. Someone had rudely bumped into you which caused your items to fall from your hands, the person didn't even bother apologizing before continuing on their way. Kaveh happened to see the interaction and rushed over to help you - he even tried shouting after the person to apologize to you, but they didn't listen.
You appreciated the effort and his kindness nonetheless; he even offered to buy you some food to cheer you up! Though you protested against it, he managed to win you over in the end and he took you to a nice nearby cafe. You could see him eyeing at the prices with worried eyes and a strained smile, you could obviously tell he had some financial problems making his kind offer even more touching. You decided to order the cheapest item you liked and spent the afternoon with him just talking, god you could talk for hours with him!
Falling for Kaveh was the easiest thing you did in your life, but sometimes you wondered how it is you managed to get with him? With his looks and heart of gold you would think him to be more popular with suitors all over him; but no. The people in the Academia you understood as they were usually solely focused in their research, but he was so kind to everyone! Excluding his roommate whom he talked to you about, but didn't let you meet. Somehow Kaveh was a simple rock with gems hidden within, but others didn't seem to look deep enough to get to know him.
He may have not been that good with money, but he always finds other ways to treat you. One of his favorite things to do together is to go for a walk outside of Sumeru city and go sightseeing with you; he always finds the best spots too! Whether you're a morning person who he would go watch the sunrise with or a night owl who preferred the sunset, he will do whatever to make you happy. Seeing you be happy makes him beyond happy and it absolutely melts your heart!
There were many times in the past that almost caused you to burst into tears from him being too kind and sweet or too cute for you to handle! His tendency to draw in animals was strange, but so incredibly adorable. Stray cats would show up whenever you were sitting around and dogs would run up to greet you two - even birds would come closer to him than anyone else! Seeing him give in and pet or play with them was beyond cute!
He was also always so sweet and caring, he would never forget things you liked or cared about! If you needed space when upset he would give it to you; but if you wanted comfort he would be there in an instant with food or snacks he knew you loved. His kindness was also a bit of a flaw as he didn't want to think people would be terrible enough to use charity as a cash grab - which is why he often fell for them. This especially made you upset, but it didn't make you cry like today did.
Seeing the sky becoming darker and darker as your shift was beginning to end worried you, you had neglected to bring an umbrella as it had been clear all day before now. You would have to make your way to the other side of the city while getting completely soaked from the rain; not an ideal scenario. You though about staying until the rain stopped, but you had made plans with Kaveh today right after work and hated the thought of leaving him to wait for you without warning.
You sighed heavily as you changed back into your everyday clothes and prepared yourself for the downpour waiting for you outside, you said a quick goodbye to your colleague before heading for the door with a sad expression. The rain was as heavy as a shower or a bucket of water that was being emptied over you, you shivered as the cold outside air made contact with your skin. This was just your luck...
Out in the rain you could see a figure running full speed towards you, you wondered what kind of maniac was outside in this weather - until you recognized him. It was Kaveh! He held a red umbrella to shield him from the rain and wore a jacket that he usually didn't; it was one of your favorite clothing that he owned, but it was usually only on him during colder days like today. Seeing you he ran faster and almost bumped into you as he came to a halt!
“Thank the Archon's! I'm so glad I cought you before you left!” He said with a relieved smile.
“You came to get me?” You asked in a surprised tone.
He nodded his head as he handed you the umbrella he was holding and stripped off the jacket he was wearing; which he quickly handed to you. He had specifically brought it for you...
“Of course! I thought you probably didn't think to bring an umbrella with you today, so I couldn't possibly let you walk home and get yourself sick from this weather!” He said as if it was the most obvious thing in the world.
Kaveh helpped you put on his jacket before smiling proudly when seeing you in his clothing; it was warm and smelled like him, the fabric was also incredibly comfortable. Everything about it made you feel so incredibly touched... The fact that he came to get you to make sure you didn't get soaked from the rain to bringing you his jacket and looking so proud when you wore it. You couldn't help, but to burst into tears from the sheer kindness and sweetness - the love and thoughtfulness.
Seeing you cry made Kaveh panic and instantly ask if you were okay, he asked if he did something that made you upset and if there was anything he could do to help you while still keeping the umbrella over you to cover you from the rain. It probably made you cry harder seeing him be so frantic and stumble over himself trying to calm you down - he was too cute for his own good! He was just too kind and caring of a human being that it was bound to make you burst into tears one day.
“I'm sorry, you're just too sweet!” You sobbed.
“Wha... What?” Kaveh asked in confusion.
“You're so sweet and kind! It's making me feel so loved!” You cried louder.
“Honey, I don't know what to say...” Kaveh laughed lightly while looking a bit bashful.
“You're also too cute!” You covered your eyes with your hands and continued to cry.
Kaveh stepped closer and pulled you in for tight hug, his hand was wrapped around your back, while the other was steadily holding his umbrella over you both. He let you cry your fill against his shoulder; with his hand running up and down along your back in a comforting manner. By the time you were finished crying rain had calmed down a bit to a pleasant soft shower.
Kaveh let go of you gently and wiped away the remaining tear stains from your cheeks, you both lightly laughed about the situation. Being this close you noticed how his eyes sparkled with so much love that you couldn't help, but lean in for a short yet sweet kiss. After you separated Kaveh held up the umbrella between you and encouraged you to place your hand over his; not only to adjust the umbrella so that it was comfortable for you, but also to hold your hand as he walked you home.

I really hoped you liked this, but if you didn't feel free to request again ^-^ I spent a lot of timing thinking which character to pick, but in the end Kaveh felt like the obvious choice lol I will soon be posting request rules - incase you or anyone else would like to request something in the future!

Could I request a Luigi x royalty reader?
Like reader is from a far off kingdom who’s at the mushroom kingdom to make an alliance with peach, but reader is more interested in him?
So reader could care less and just wants to get to know the green plumber better haha
Prince is used as a gender-neutral term here!
Tumblr media
You were royalty, and you liked to think that you were good at it. You considered yourself responsible, self-disciplined, however…
When you came to the castle of the Mushroom Kingdom, you and Princess Peach passed by Mario and Luigi in the hallway. Luigi waved at you shyly. For some reason, that made you feel like you had been hit by a Kong, in a pleasant way.
You stopped and turned to watch them leave, which caused Peach to stop and ask if you were ok, but you didn’t respond. She waved a hand in front of your face and then you were snapped out of your stupor. You apologized with a flushed face and she immediately knew what was up.
Peach asked one of the toads to fetch Mario and Luigi for what was supposed to be a dinner where the two of you discussed an alliance, but instead Peach directed the conversation so that Luigi talked about himself mostly. Mario and Luigi talked about Brooklyn and their family and how they helped Peach defeat Bowser.
You thought that Luigi was very strong and courageous, and that he was possibly the most interesting and adorable creature you had ever laid eyes on. You loved the way he politely removed his hat before sitting down for dinner, and how he gracefully twirled his fork to get a perfect bite of pasta. Everything you observed about him was tantalizing. You couldn’t help paying more attention to him than the princess.
Peach didn’t mind. She was perfectly happy to keep you and Luigi talking, and after dinner she directed the two of you to the castle gardens to talk privately.
You and Luigi walked in the moonlit garden with its large topiaries and you made your best attempt to flirt. You didn’t have a lot of experience with it, most of the flirtation that happened around you was done distastefully by potential suitors and you didn’t want to copy them. So you just tried to be polite and kind, but the man seemed to much more nervous talking to royalty by himself instead of with the help of his brother and Peach.
So you decided the best way to make him comfortable was to become his friend. You didn’t have to invite yourself over to the Mushroom Kingdom, you found that Princess Peach was frequently inviting you to events that ranged from important to mundane. During these times, you did your best to be friendly and bright instead of too formal and uptight, and the more you hung out with your three new friends the more you and Luigi opened up to each other.
The moment Luigi started having feelings for you was when Bowser attacked the Mushroom Kingdom again and you came leading your army to Peach’s defense. When Luigi was in a tight spot, you jumped in and showed off your strength, defeating all the Koopas that were threatening him. He thought you looked so attractive in your armor, spinning around your lance and saving his butt.
After Bowser was defeated, Luigi didn’t dare ask you out, because after all, you were royalty, but he did thank you in such a genuine and adorable way that you couldn’t help but finally confess your feelings to him. That surprised him greatly and he didn’t know how to react. He didn’t think he was worthy of royalty, but you pointed out how Mario and Peach seemed to have something going on, and so he agreed to start dating you. You were so happy you grabbed his face and kissed him hard on his lips, which got him all flustered.

I would like to request PLATONIC! Lilia Vanrouge with an incredibly beautiful daughter (or child if you want to make it gender neutral) who is completely oblivious to what power her beauty has over others and gets an endless amount of suiters, constantly asking Lilia for her hand in marriage
Hi! Omg wait this is such a funny idea. I'll make it gender neutral for this one ^^
Platonic!Lilia and his child!reader who gets a lot of suitors
I think first and foremost as a dad he wants his best for his kiddo. This goes for how he raised Silver and basically the entirety of Diasomnia. You are also subject to training like Silver and Sebek did, which helped you become closer to those two over the years
Lilia would definitely pamper you with travel souvenirs since he went on a lot of trips. If you were younger I feel like it might've been wholesome to dress you up and such but for you, you were able to play with Lilia's hair. Would he go out in armor with a few kiddy hair ties if his presence was needed in a fight? Yes.
But speaking of suitors, I think he would be a little protective of his child. Like on one hand he's like "yeah my child's the coolest :D" but then on the other hand he's like "omg why are there so many people asking for your hand in marriage." Like he himself would probably think you're the best looking person in all of Twisted Wonderland, but he wasn't expecting so many suitors when you came of age to start thinking about marriage
He's definitely strict with who he would let you meet, mostly because of his nature. While he isn't like breathing down the suitors' necks or anything, his smile doesn't really reach his eyes when he's talking to them haha
A lot of times he just turns down the suitors if they approach him at parties or other noble occasions. He's probably pretty good at reading people, but other than face-to-face meetings he also gets a lot of letters from across Twisted Wonderland. He doesn't like writing them all, so sometimes he just tells the suitors that ask why he hasn't replied by saying "oops, sorry I guess it got missing while getting sent here d:"
Might've thought about finding suitable people using something like they did in Brave where the suitors have to go through hurdles, only for his kid to beat them in all of them.
He knows that you have a really good appearance, but he wants to make sure whoever you end up with will appreciate you for who you are, not an idealized version of you. So, he really lets you choose who you want to meet, not meet, etc.
When you do eventually find the person you want to be with, he will be supportive of any decision you make going forward. He cares for your wellbeing both physically and mentally first and foremost!

Could we get please some headcanons about Ann and Haru with a s/o that no one thinks is her s/o and how the girls would react and deal with it? Like everyone, especially strangers, always think s/o is just a friend, family member, assistant, pity date, someone they pay to keep away suitors, etc. That they just don't think that a super model or rich heiress would date someone as average as her s/o?
Ann + Haru x Average!Reader (seperate)
relationships: ann/reader, haru/reader tws: none? some slight rudeness i guess wc: 413 extra: since it wasn't specified, reader is gender neutral // hi! i also struggled with this request honestly, but once i started writing and decided on a direction to take it all flowed so naturally. i hope it's to your liking and thank you for the request!
Ann :
Ann tends to bring her partner along for her work. They’re always around somewhere, either helping her out of just cheering her on.
Still, every time she does, the same thing happens.
“I’m sorry, are you Miss Takamine’s friend?”
Being mistaken for her friend isn’t the worst of it, honestly. Sometimes people ask if they’re her sibling, assistant, etc.
Whenever they try to clarify, people always give them a dubious look. They can practically hear the judgemental questions.
They try to ignore it most of the time. Yes, it’s a little hurtful when it happens every time, but what other people think about their relationship isn’t going to change what their relationship really is.
Ann found out about it by accident one day, overhearing someone making a comment to her partner.
They practically had to hold her back from lashing out at that person.
Ann doesn’t take kindly to her partner being talked badly about. She gets offended on their behalf.
And she’ll probably make sure people can tell that they’re in a relationship from then on. They better be ready for more PDA!
Haru :
After taking over the company, Haru probably tries to keep her personal life as private as possible.
That includes her partner, for a while. She doesn’t want them to deal with all the attention that comes with being in the spotlight with her, and so she doesn’t tend to talk about them publicly or bring them along to events.
That doesn’t mean she doesn’t still go on dates with them.
People who see them on dates together are the ones to make most of the comments. They usually choose secluded locations, but on the off chance Haru gets recognized in public, people tend to whisper.
It starts with just a few comments.
“Who’s that? Do you think that’s her date?”
“No way! They’re definitely not on the same level.”
They try to ignore it at first, but when it becomes a recurring issue, Haru grows more and more irritated.
She doesn’t want to waste her time arguing with strangers, but she wants to make sure people know that yes, that’s her partner, whom she loves very much, and who is more than deserving of her despite what anyone else may say.
That’s probably when she starts publicly talking about them, assuming they’re okay with it, of course. Either way, when she hears those comments, she’ll probably go and grab her partner’s hand, or stand closer to them.

Hi! This isn't a request but how do you think Peter would react to reader being a Funeral Director? Let's say it's like a blind date (set up by Auntie May ofc). Im asking because a good amount of your fics that you write with Peter revolve around death- weather it being Ben's, Gwen's, and/or what he see's around just being Spider-Man.
Lol this is coming from someone who's about to get their license to become a f.d if you couldn't tell :)
omg over a decade ago i used to roleplay with an oc who was my dark humored, lil goth queen and she was studying to become a funeral director and even though it was so long ago, once an oc, always an oc. she still lives up in my brain with the rest of every other character i've ever created in my life time. i'm going to channel her energy into my soul for this one
Ok, so! I love this.
(using gender neutral "they/them" for this character)
This might sound slightly gruesome but I'm going with it! May is getting a little older in age. Nothing crazy but she's a realist and she wants to be extra prepared when it's her time to go because she doesn't want to burden Peter with such things. She knows what it's like to go through the entire process of burying a dead loved one when you are in the middle of the worst grief of your life. She doesn't want Peter to have to make any of those choices like where to go and what casket to chose. She's a planner and is going to keep nurturing her boy even after death.
Soo she starts doing the rounds of looking into funeral homes, types of caskets, potential flower arrangements, details for the service, how she wants her body to be prepared...she's got it all figured out and in a binder with laminated pages. And she's having the time of her life doing all this because any chance to pull out some stationary is a good day in her book.
Peter freaks when he finds out because that's his girl and he refuses to let her die ever. But she calms him down by reminding him that death can happen to anyone, at any time, and she wants to be prepared for him. All he will have to do is hand over this binder to the director and they can do the heavy lifting so he can just take time to grieve. He's still not happy about it. Aunt May will never die. He doesn't even want to entertain the idea that it's a possibility even twenty years from now.
But then she throws in a lil twist.
"Oh, by the way, Peter...you have a date next Saturday night. I set you up with the director of the parlor. They were just lovely! So accommodating, so funny, absolutely gorgeous, not anything like I was expecting. I told them I had a nephew who was single. Showed them a picture of you. You know that picture I took last summer of you at the beach eating a Ninja Turtle popsicle next to the ice cream truck? I just love that picture...reminds me of when you were a boy...anyway, they agreed to meet up with you! Isn't that wonderful?"
And he's standing there speechless and mortified because only Aunt May would start prematurely planning for her death and then go around showing embarrassing, shirtless pics of him to his potential suitors...who are also helping her plan for her death. He tries to refuse to go but it's May and you can't say no to her. She will always win.
She picks out his best outfit for him and makes sure he's all dolled up (also to be sure he actually goes through with the date and doesn't bail).
He's shocked at how young and attractive they are when he meets them. Even though May insisted they would be a good match, he still was picturing some creepy old, sickly pale, skeletal man wear a dark suit. He's been dating a bit lately but nothing really sticks. This date feels different. He starts off by making a dark joke about dating the person who's going to bury his (still very much alive) aunt. Which gets a laugh from the both of them. They start in on how lovely it was to meet her and how she brightened up the house when she came for a meeting. And Peter talks about how baffled he was to find out she was even doing all that in the first place. He would have gone with her or been more than willing take care of everything. But they insist that May was adamant on doing it on her own. Peter asks a lot of questions on why they would ever want to go into this line of work but they just laugh it off. They're helping people, even after death. Helping their loved ones have the best final goodbye they can have.
The first date flows smoothly. They both try to avoid the death talk after the first few minutes and keep things light and happy. Peter is unknowingly smitten at the time but finds that once he goes home for the night, he can't stop thinking about them.
A second date is soon to follow. And a third. And fourth. And so on until they are officially dating.
I think as they get more comfortable with each other and open up to each other more, Peter will start to reveal how badly of a relationship he has with death. Reader has a healthy outlook on it. They don't mind taking care of the dead. They enjoy being able to provide that kind of service. Nothing really turns their stomach at this point. Peter can't remember much about his parents or their funerals, Uncle Ben's was a blur, and Gwen's is blackened out from his memory. It really upsets him to picture Reader doing any kind of body preparation. He keeps having intrusive thoughts about them working on Gwen's corpse and it kinda fucks him up. (They obviously weren't the one's who did that but his mind is putting the two people he cares about together without reason). Sometimes it makes it hard for him to look at them. It causes tension in the relationship. He starts to resent that they do that job. He think that they are "better than that" and they should leave that sort of job to someone else. He thinks it's gross and upsetting.
Reader would take massive offense to that. They love what they do. It's very important to them. Peter keeps not being able to hear what they're saying and is throwing his own uncomfortable attitude into the mix. They represent death to him and he hates death. Almost like they're a constant reminder of everyone he loved who has died. Cue the climaxy fight part where they separate for a bit in order for the growth to happen. Peter goes off to sulk and eventually ends up on May's doorsteps like a lost, sad puppy.
He'd need to go have a heart to heart talk with her about why he feels so uncomfortable dating someone who is so close to death. She'd talk about his past traumas, losing so many loved ones, and how he never allowed himself to put those people to rest. That's what Reader does. They helps other's put their loved one's to rest. And that frightens Peter because he's afraid of letting go. They represent someone who is at peace with themselves and Peter is living in a constant state of turmoil. In order to love properly again, he has to let go of the past. Reader can become a healthy path forward but only if Peter is able to cut off the baggage that is holding him back.
He'd let that talk sink in for a few days until he finally crawls his way back to their home with a box of their favorite chocolates (not flowers because they've seen enough flowers to last them their entire life time). He's met with nothing but a gentle smile and open arms. He'd open up to better explain himself to them so they can understand where he's coming from and see into his past. It's a healing moment for him to overcome.
Over time he'd warm up more and more to the idea of them working so closely to death. They both like to lighten any dark moods with some terrible jokes and dumb comments. A lot of silly ghost/ haunting talks. A lot him questing them about things. Like if guys can get an erection after death. Or what exactly is embalming fluid (bc he likes science-y things). And trying to find out the craziest things they ever experienced while working. They have endless stories to share so there's never a dull moment.
And when they finally find out about Mr. Parker and his big, giant Spider-Man secret, they threaten Peter that he better never end up on their table or else they'll mutilate his corpse by cutting off his dick and keeping it in a jar. (too dark? lmao not for them!)
Peter loves it. It makes him feel loved.

This one’s kinda weird, but I’m fascinated with how much Thel ‘Vadam/The Arbiter changes within the Halo canon, and I feel like that could extend to how he’d be as a yandere during different key times of his life. So could you do a concept comparing and contrasting how he’d be as a yandere during his Human-Covenant war career, during his time as the repentant Arbiter at the end of the war, and during his time as the peacekeeping leader after the war?
If this is too much for one request, lemme know and I’ll break it up into three, one for each era: since even tho Thel is one character, he might as well be three different people on the grander scale.
Sure! I may talk a little bit about each era for comparison purposes but make a full concept separately at a later date? Not sure yet, depends on what info I put in this!
I hope you like it :) About time I wrote for him!
Yandere! Thel 'Vadamee Behavior Comparison
Pairing: Romantic
Possible Trigger Warnings: Gender-Neutral Darling, Obsession, Forced marriage mention, Murder/Mass Murder, Violence, Possessive behavior, Tried to keep darling vague, Dubious relationship, Overprotective behavior, Manipulation, Isolation.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Start of the Human/Covenant War Era (Before Halo 2)
This version of Thel is much more Ruthless than the Thel we know.
In this era Thel is loyal to the Covenant.
Which would make the darling he is most compatible with a Sangheili.
Thel has slaughtered many humans in this era which would make him currently incompatible with a human darling.
Being seen with a human is treason, you'd both die if such a thing happened.
A Sangheili darling would be the most successful here, as much as I like alien/human pairings I must keep up with the lore.
I do not have much to speak on this version of Thel as he is more akin to the rest of his species.
He is traditional and searches for honor in his actions.
He would not be a very intense yandere in this stage as he is more focused with his work.
His attraction to you does become a distraction at times, however.
He is easily one of the best Sangheili warriors due to all he's done for the Covenant.
Thel has never been one for affection, most of the Sangheili species hasn't been.
Although despite his loyal attitude to the Prophets at this time he'd try to court his darling.
I'd say his yandere behavior around this time is Possessive, Controlling, Manipulative, and Cruel.
He makes it a goal to marry you in the traditional Sangheili way.
Surely that would very honorable for both of your families?
Why act like you aren't interested?
Surely your family will agree to such a set up, haven't you seen his work?
He's glassed many planets.
Killed billions of humans.
He's known as a great warrior, there's no need to worry so much.
He is capable of defending you and your new family bloodline.
Thel doesn't allow much resistance in this era.
He expects you to go along with it and accept his proposals and gifts.
Sangheili value honor.
He courts you by battling other potential suitors, he promises to dedicate himself to you.
He would love to spill the blood of the lesser Sangheili and humans for you.
He wants you to know it's shameful that they even showed interest in you.
Thel wants to show you he's the best suitor you can get.
Refusal would be unheard of, dear!
It's only natural for Sangheili to possessive of their mate too.
Don't act so sad or that you didn't want anything to do with him...
Marrying him is the greatest honor you could ever have!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The Great Schism Era (Halo 2 -> Halo 3)
When people think Thel, this is typically who they think.
Many think of The Arbiter when they think of him.
Around this era, Thel and the Sangheili were betrayed by the Prophets in favor of the Jiralhanae.
This version of era would be more compatible with human and Sangheili darlings.
This version of era is actually working alongside the humans against the Covenant which gives him time to get to know a few.
I like to think Thel is more understanding in this era towards his darling.
He tries to listen and understand you compared to how he was before the betrayal.
Thel would be Protective, Manipulative, Possessive, Slightly controlling, Dedicated, and Understanding of his darling in this era.
I personally like the idea of him exploring the concept of a human darling.
Most Sangheili see this as strange, foreign, and a little bit weird.
Thel would think this at first, but he's already encountered humans like Chief, so it wouldn't be too bad for him.
Thel isn't as cruel as he was before.
He's learned compassion from his human comrades and prefers negotiations to violence.
Unless violence is needed.
He'd show curiosity towards a human mate but would also take the more traditional Sangheili spouse.
He's protective of you as he sees you as equal to him.
In battle Thel would defend you with his life.
He likes the idea of battling alongside the one he loves, despite the differences in strength.
Thel is still possessive about you like he was before.
He growls when other Sangheili or humans show interest before recapturing your attention.
As a result he can seem controlling, but has the charisma to convince you he's doing this to show his loyalty and defend you.
Thel makes you feel bad for "not understanding his culture" and assuming he means you harm.
He apologizes if he's scared you and knows his sins can't be so easily forgiven.
Yet... won't you believe him?
He just wishes to care for you like one of his own....
Thel tries his best to be understanding of his darling, learning that it's best to understand your partner from humans.
If you aren't comfortable starting a relationship now, he'll wait.
He'd wait a long time for you.
Just don't expect him to give up his spot as potential suitor.
He's still going to kill for you and keep others away if you try to pick another partner besides him... he feels only he's suitable for such an honorable role.
Tumblr media
Post Human/Covenant War Era (Halo 5ish)
Thel remains relatively the same as he was during The Great Schism.
He is open to the idea of a Sangheili or human partner still, despite the backlash it could cause in the civil war.
Thel is also much more charismatic and powerful leader, giving into the role of Kaidon on his homeworld.
Thel would still be Protective, Manipulative, Possessive, Slightly controlling, Dedicated, and Understanding of his darling in this era.
It's just now he is better at manipulating his darling.
Thel's partner in this era would be taught Sangheili culture more than his previous era, especially if they are human.
You'd be taught Sangheili if you did not know it, he'd teach you how to fight, and he'd show you traditions of his Keep.
Thel is probably even more protective than he was before.
Around this time he is dealing with fights breaking out between his own people.
Thel would want you to live with him on his homeworld, but you'd be kept in his home.
Your existence is kept a secret so no one knows you and him are allies.
Thel would keep a watchful eye over you at all times, setting guards up to defend you if he has to leave your side.
If someone hurt you, Thel would not be afraid to plunge his energy blade through their gut.
He hates the idea of you being hurt because of his beliefs.
He wants to be the best for you.
This solves his possessive behavior a bit because he keeps you in his home at all times.
Thel likes the idea of coming home to you... just to show you how much he cares.
He probably wouldn't mind nipping your skin a bit, either.
Thel listens to your fears and complaints and tries to remedy them.
But he'd never leave your side.
Thel adores you, as your partner for life he refuses to let you go.
In the time of war, anyone could hurt you.
He apologizes for locking you in his home, guarded by his most trusted warriors... but he promises to come back!
Don't look so disappointed or upset... he just loves you and doesn't want to lose you. You'll understand at some point, right?

How about "I wish I'd known when you were born that you were going to betray me like this" with Gorou? Perhaps reader is part of a clan and they've been on loads of arranged dates with other suitors from clans that never worked out, and they get close to Gorou?
Tasty! Gender neutral reader, they're raised by strict parents that teach them how to court someone - posture, how they eat food, you name it they do it.
--
When you were a kid, you found yourself despising your existence. It became apparent to you that you were expected to marry into another clan that would boost the family's name. 'Dear, you need to sit up straight at all times, even if it's somebody you have grown comfortable with. We need to exude confidence!' Your mother chastised you when you slouched after sitting up uncomfortably. 'No, no, no! You need to be delicate with your food, slow down.' Your father told you when you started to eat a meal you were looking forward to.
And don't start on the dates you parents always arranged for you. Most of the bachelors you were paired up with were either old and creepy, or they were absolutely stuck up. You were certain there were most likely some decent people available, perhaps if you were able to get closer to Ayato or Ayaka in a way both of you could benefit, that may be nice. You were friendly with Ayaka, and you knew neither her nor her brother had to deal with these arranged dates from you ranting about a particularly gross guy.
But nope, you knew Ayato was smart enough to see your reasoning for pursuing a relationship with him. You didn't see him as an escape route, but you knew using him like that would not be fair.
When the vision hunt decree started, you were enraged to discover your family were completely behind the idea. Your friends had visions, how would they react if they lost their vision and forgot their reason for pushing on with their lives?
Ayaka tries to hush you when you start to tell Ayato how silly an idea it appeared to you. Many people used their visions for work, were the higher ups simply scared of the idea of a vision making someone superior to them in one way? Were they blindly following someone who claimed to be talking for a god?
Realising that neither of them had the ability to do a thing about this, you stormed out, thinking of what you could do. As you begin to walk home, a piece of paper catches your eye. Reading the contents quickly, you see this is some sort of recruitment following the introduction of this vision hunt decree. Without thinking about the possibility of this being a trap, you sprint to get to the location mentioned.
--
When the soldiers saw you, a noble, running to them, they thought you were in danger. You hold up the paper, insisting you wanted to help out where you could, and they look at each other in confusion.
"General Gorou, can you talk to _?" The soldier call out, the doggy general jogging over, sensing some urgency.
"I must apologise, but due to low numbers, I cannot afford to talk to-"
"I want to join." You say, determination running through your veins. "I don't like this new law, and I wish to do something about it." You nod, Gorou looking at you blankly for a second.
"What skills do you have?" Gorou asks.
"I don't have many useful skills for survival, however I would be happy to take on any training to assist where I can." You begin. "Additionally, I have connections to several clans. I would be happy to be a pawn if needed." You add on, Gorou's face turning to shock. "But, I have been taught how to cook a meal if that would be a start?"
"Let's start with that!" Gorou nods, leading you to an experienced cook that had offered their help.
--
During the whole war, Kokomi had asked Gorou to look after you. At the start, it was simply guarding you, but over time it started to become more than just that. He didn't look at you as a member of a clan, someone he could marry and have an easy life with, he saw you as a genuine person. He was the person that showed you the hobbies you were forbidden from doing, and you felt like you were finding yourself.
However, your family caught wind of it. You knew they would never approve of such a relationship, and when Kokomi had asked for your presence, you feared that they requested to talk to you.
Nope. Your mother was right there, Kokomi allowing you both time to talk. Of course, you knew Kokomi would be eavesdropping, solely to make sure you were safe and you weren't some traitor.
"We were worried sick, my darling." She sweetly gushes, you wincing at the tone. "What brought you out here?"
You stay silent, knowing there was no easy way of saying it. When she stays silent, forcing you to talk, you finally speak.
"I am here to do something about the vision hunt decree. It isn't morally right, mother, surely you understand that?" You ask.
"Yes, but that wasn't what I was asking for." Your mother huffs out. "I heard you were getting close to someone here." She continues, not letting you intervene with her words. "With someone who is not worthy of the clan."
"Yes. I am interested in someone." You state, holding eye contact with your mother. "He makes me feel like I'm human, and I appreciate the warmth I feel when I am with him."
"You are forbidden from even associating with people below us!" Your mother yells. "Lord Ayato is a single man, he is worthy of association! You should have courted him instead of that... that thing!"
"General Gorou isn't a thing! I love him!" You yell, your mother gasping.
"Oh my god, you're dating him? That's disgusting, you wouldn't have even gone for a human." Your mother grimaces.
"Gorou -"
"Enough!" Your mother holds her hand up, disgusted at your words. "I wish I'd known when you were born that you were going to betray me like this." Your mother grumbles, shaking her head. You don't show a reaction, knowing this was most likely her way of getting under your skin. "You are an insult to the family. From this day onwards, you are no longer considered a member of our clan." Your mother huffs, walking out.
Kokomi walks in once your mother has left, checking on you. you don't really feel anything in the moment, simply thanking her for showing concern before getting back to work, Gorou following once he spots you returning.
"How did the conversation go?" Gorou asks hopefully.
It was like the straw that broke the camels back, you couldn't stop yourself from crying. He holds you in his arms, letting you cry into his shoulder before you calm down enough to tell him that your mother had disowned you due to your disinterest in going for a 'worthy person to wed'.
"Is this because of me? I should have asked if your parents would have approved of me before getting closer, I'm sorry." Gorou sighs out.
"Mother wasn't happy to hear you were who I was interested in, but she wouldn't have approved of any commoner." You explain. "Over the years, I grew to hate the idea of simply marrying someone my parent's suggested."
"...It's because I'm a hybrid, isn't it?" Gorou pouts, holding you tighter as if you were going to leave him because of what your mother said about 'his kind'.
"It was a lot of reasons, my love." You respond. "That was only one thing she didn't approve of."
Truthfully, part of you felt bad for feeling a sense of relief after finding out you were no longer considered family to your biological family. They would have dictated your entire life, but now you didn't have to fear the idea of being married off.
Because now, you were happy to become Gorou's other half.

to dance among the stars | c.b.
Bridgerton - Colin Bridgerton x Fem!Reader, fluff requested by @musicallisto
tw: talk of marriage
word count: 1.4k
prompt: “Dance with me?”
A/N: I started writing.... forgot i had a prompt to fit in... decided to just keep going and hope for the best.  i feel like that meme “it’s not much, but it’s honest work.”
Summary: (Y/n) hated dances and balls, but if there was anyone who could change their mind, it would be Colin Bridgerton.
Tumblr media
(Y/n) laughed into the clear night air, throwing her head back in blissful happiness, unaware of the way that Colin Bridgerton looked at her - as though his whole life was in her smile. A clement wind greeted the two on their stroll, allowing the music from the nearby ball to drift toward them, a sound much more soft and inviting now that there was distance between the two and the dance floor.
“You, Colin, will be the death of me,” (Y/n) said, her words like a happy sigh, a gentle ending to her enjoyment of his presence.
“The death of you? I thought I heroically saved you from having to entertain suitors all evening,” he teased, straightening his jacket dramatically, as though they were in one of (Y/n)’s novels - the kind with epic romances and gruesome battles. (Y/n) scoffed, swatting him on the shoulder. “I am your knight in shining armor, aren’t I?”
“Well, yes—” Colin chuckled, earning a smile “—but I saved you from your mother. She’s been looking for a project now that Daphne’s entertaining the prince, is she not?”
“My mother is always looking for something.” Colin rolled his eyes. “I’m sure I won’t be properly saved until I marry some girl from the ton.”
“Oh.” Colin’s words ushered in an awkward lapse of silence that had both of them turning away from each other, taking a sudden interest in their shoes. They slowed their walk to a stop, and the breeze drifted between them, as though pushing them apart.
It was silly that something like a wayward comment could reduce them to silence, but the future lay within that statement - a future fast approaching and terrifying in its weight. The ton was designed for marriage. Here, at these balls and parties, both of them were supposed to find someone to marry - to bind themselves to another for the rest of their lives.
Another couple walked past the two and (Y/n) watched them go, disappearing into the evening - perhaps to dance among the stars.
“Well... is there someone who’s caught your eye?” (Y/n) fidgeted with her gloves as she spoke, not entirely sure she wanted to hear the answer. Colin had always been a flirt, and his romantic tendencies had always been something (Y/n) both admired and teased, and yet to know if his heart truly lied with one of them was the very thing she wanted least. Being out here with Colin - away from everyone else and anything that might stand between them - was the only thing that made the ton worthwhile. All else paled in comparison to these moments seemingly stolen from the flow of time, where they were two souls together, walking the same path for a brief while, hearts close enough to touch.
To have them be taken away would be too much of a heartache. Worse than anything she could fathom.
Colin looked at (Y/n) with his brow furrowed. He opened his mouth to speak, but before he could, (Y/n) took hold of the conversation once more.
“Perhaps Marina Thompson? She was quite popular before she fell ill. Will you be the one to ask for her hand, at the end of the season?”
“Miss Thompson is a fine girl, but... no.” (Y/n) looked up abruptly and met Colin’s blinking stare. Even when baffled there was something light about him - kind and caring - it tugged on her heart more than she cared to admit. “I would much rather wait than make a hasty match.”
“Hasty?” (Y/n) stifled a laugh, the mature word - not at all like the Colin she knew - bringing humor back into the conversation. Colin was forcing down a blush, his cheeks warming in color, like roses beneath his skin.
“I just mean I want to love my wife before we get married, instead of having to force feelings after the fact.”
(Y/n) smiled, taking a step closer to lock arms with Colin once more. “I hope you get to.”
The two resumed their walk, never going too far from the festivities to be considered improper, but managing to stay well away from anyone else. Colin admired the way that (Y/n) looked under the night sky - her beauty something wholly unique to her, and yet perfectly matched to the darkening sky. In the light of her eyes lay all the beauty of the cosmos, and in her smile lay all the thrills of the world. All the universe was captured in her essence, and Colin knew that all of his longing for travel could be satiated with a single touch; a kiss from (Y/n) could carry all of the wonders of the world, and no matter how many times he visited her touch, he would never lose his wanderlust.
(Y/n) fixed him with a look, as though they could sense that his thoughts rested with them.
Colin cleared his throat. It was one thing to care for (Y/n) - it was quite another to admit he had fallen in love. “What about you? Surely you’ve found a suitor who is the least bit exciting?”
“They think themselves exciting, if that is answer enough,” (Y/n) sighed, looking at Colin through the corner of her eye. “But truly Colin, having to entertain them is the worst part about these dances.”
"Even worse than dancing? I know you avoid getting out on the floor like it’s the plague.”
“Because when you’re on the dance floor, you’re trapped! That’s when entertaining suitors is at its worst.” Colin chuckled at (Y/n)’s words. “If I had a choice, I would come to these balls and the only man I would dance with is you.”
“Me?”
(Y/n) nodded.
Colin paused and they drew to a halt so he could better marvel at the woman before him. “If you had your choice in the matter, wouldn’t you rather avoid the dance floor altogether?”
“No,” (Y/n) said, dipping her head with a look that said she had spoken too much but was too fond of what she said, and not keen on taking it back. “I suppose I would like to dance with you.”
You’d dance with me?”
(Y/n) scoffed. “Well, I know you enjoy it.”
And around them, the world was hushed. The voices and sounds of the nearby ball were drowned out by the thumping of their hearts. Colin looked at (Y/n) and saw them so clearly, he was almost taken aback. How could one be so beautiful that their existence shamed a sky full of stars?
“Dance with me, then?”
He spoke before he acted, but it wasn’t long before his hand was outstretched, waiting for (Y/n) to take it.
“Right here?” But her hand was already resting in his, her smile bright and warm. "There's no music."
"Then come a few steps this way." Colin pulled her a few paces closer to the ball. (Y/n) chuckled as Colin tugged on her arm, guiding them nearer. He put a finger on his lips to shush her, causing (Y/n) to roll her eyes, smiling all the while. The soft lilt of music was slightly louder, here, but still distant enough that they had to be silent to hear the beat. Colin took a step closer, and although there were still enough space between them and enough bystanders around for their actions to be considered proper, there was an intimacy in the moment to make (Y/n)’s cheeks heat up.
"Is it loud enough for you to hear?” Colin whispered.
"It's perfect."
Adjusting his hand in hers, Colin led (Y/n) into a dance, smiling at her in a way that could only be described as lovestruck. His entire being was in awe of her as they spun around each other, like the moon in orbit of the earth. There was something heavenly in (Y/n)’s eyes, and when the song ended, the light in them did not fade.
“I love you,” Colin breathed, the words falling out of his mouth before he had the time to realize he had said them. It was the purest of admissions, one he hadn’t planned or even dreamed of admitting until the very moment he said it. “I-I love you,” he repeated, as though he needed to affirm the truth.
“Colin, I love you, too.” And all the world was in their smile, once again, all of the universe seemingly wrapped up in their blissful words.
Colin let out a laugh that was almost a joyful sigh, and in his eyes were stars - constellations that burned brighter than the sun. He took (Y/n)’s gloved hand and kissed it, wishing it could be something more.
“Perhaps you will dance with me more often, then.”
“At every ball we attend.”

I read your fic about Rio helping Mc with depression for another person and I really enjoyed it🥺💖. If it’s still open could I possibly request Clavis from ikepri helping a depressed MC?
🥺💝💝💝
—Clavis supporting a depressed MC
Tumblr media
Suitor(s): Clavis
TW: Depression, lack of motivation, a lil bit of self doubt, also a lil bit of self neglect, minor allusions to spoilers for his route. There is no actual spoiler but some stuff hints at spoilers
Notes: Gender neutral MC || I'm glad you enjoyed it dear 💜💜 Sorry if this one isn't entirely up to par, my mind went 😗💫 after the second bullet point 🙂
Tumblr media
I'd be lying if I said that he wasn't entirely prepared for a situation like this, at least unconsciously
He's well versed in your moods and can tell almost immediately that you aren't quite alright, making a mental note of everything about you that's changed and all of your symptoms as he tried to help you work through it
He makes sure that he knows virtually everything he can about you from what lowers your mood to what motivates you and he put it to good use
The change in how he treats you and helps you isn't obvious but you can easily tell. He's gentler with you, more patient with you than ever before and you can just about tell the different tone that his teasing takes on; never mocking or insensitive but still very much Clavis. He makes a conscious effort to not do anything that would leave you upset or otherwise negatively because he's fully aware of the affect that a lot of his words tend to have
He understands the guilt that can come with these feelings so he doesn't change how he acts with you in pubic so much that you start to feel that he's making changes in himself just for you or that people might start to question and mock him, almost as though there's nothing off
He also doesn't want you worrying yourself over him since his habits and line of work aren't exactly all that game and particularly calm so he keeps most of those things on the down low so you aren't too concerned when you should be caring more about yourself
He refuses to leave your side for too long and only does if it's something that there is no way that he can avoid. He's not had the best experiences with other people in this way so he's scared to leave you alone for too long unless you ask because feeling alone is something that he knows isn't going to help you
He's extremely cautious with you and he tries to do and get what he knows will help you
Low energy and you can't seem to be able to finish any of the tasks your supposed to complete? No problem, time to go outside and go to the sweet shop that Yves and Licht recommended. The tasks can be put off and sometimes you just need a change of atmosphere
You can get up out of bed and everything feels too overwhelming? Let's go for something light for breakfast and get you freshened up. He's a master at making excuses so you've earned yourself the day off
Feeling numb or emotionally unstable? Hell just sit with you. If you want him to talk, then he'll talk. He's got no end of stories to tell about his various escapades and pranks and he isn't looking for a reaction
He can talk just for the sake of talking. You just want to know that he's there even if neither of you say anything? He can do that to, a comment or two thrown in along the way to make sure that the silence doesn't seem too suffocating
He's not entirely sure what to do all of the time and goes by what he knows makes you feel better in each scenario respectively but he'll do just about anything you ask
He isn't so heartless of a tease to just leave you on your lonesome and pretend that you're fine or act as cruel as he sometimes can be but he doesn't want to make you feel as though he completely changing himself just for your sake so do expect the occasional light jest and affectionate nickname here and there
He's still the same Clavis, still the same tease with the same astute understanding of your moods and habits, just that much more delicate with you

Curse-breaker (Chapter 4/4)
- ao3 -
“You know him, right?” Jiang Cheng asked Lan Xichen. He was trying not to appear as nervous as he felt in asking, but he was pretty sure he was failing. “Nie-gongzi?”
Lan Xichen smiled. “I do. And thank you for calling him that, he prefers it.”
There were those that had started calling him Curse-breaker, as if it were a proper title; Jiang Cheng had heard it said a few times, and while he didn’t personally disagree with the moniker, which seemed appropriate, he also knew better than to just drop it into a conversation.
Luckily. He was trying to make a good impression here.
“What’s he like?” Jiang Cheng blurted out, then immediately wanted to kick himself. “I mean – it’s just – I didn’t see him much when he visited the Lotus Pier –”
He was making it worse.
It was only that he’d never quite met anyone with so much presence as Nie Mingjue: taller even than Jiang Cheng’s father, with that strange eye that seemed to see everything and anything. His features were generally set in a neutral expression that made him seem almost unworldly, like some god untouched by human concerns, but which sometimes softened a little when he approved of something – or someone.
Jiang Cheng could feel his cheeks going red, and tried to suppress it.
“Mingjue-xiong liked you,” Lan Xichen said, and Jiang Cheng lost the battle at once, his whole face heating up until it felt unbearably hot. This was worse than the time that Nie Mingjue had come to the Lotus Pier and told his parents to value Jiang Cheng more or else, and then his father had come in with a smirk and a snarl and somehow made them do it. “He said so.”
“He did?”
“Oh, yes. He said you were talented and faithful, with a good heart, and that we’d see great things from you.”
Jiang Cheng was going to die.
“That’s nice,” he said, with an effort. “I thought very highly of him, too. He’s…great.”
Wow. ‘Great’. Was that really the best he could do?
Lan Xichen studied him for a moment, then nodded. “He really is,” he said, and sighed. “I had the same reaction, you know. He’s…a lot.”
Jiang Cheng felt seen. “I know,” he said effusively. “He’s just – you know?”
“I do,” Lan Xichen said. “Just –”
He waved his hand in the air. Not even making some sort of gesture, just a meaningless sort of wave, but for some reason Jiang Cheng understood him completely.
There really just weren’t words sometimes, when you wanted to describe things or people that inspired feelings that went beyond the merely describable. Nie Mingjue was one of those – Jiang Cheng had known that Lan Xichen would understand, and sure enough, he did.
And to think that Wei Wuxian liked Lan Wangji better!
Really, his shixiong might be more talented than Jiang Cheng in many ways, ways that were often a matter of jealousy, but Jiang Cheng clearly had better taste.
“Oh, there you are,” a voice said, and Jiang Cheng tensed and turned to look – but it was only Wen Qing, so that was fine. “Lan-gongzi, Jiang-gongzi, I was sent to spend some time with you.”
She probably meant that she was sent away so that the adults would have time to talk about issues they thought were too sensitive to involve the younger generation, or else they just wanted to start drinking earlier in the afternoon than usual and didn’t want her judging them from a medical standpoint. Either might be true – Wen Qing was widely acclaimed as one of the most talented in their generation, as terrifying with her needles as other people might be with their sword, from more or less the first moment she’d finally been allowed to join the rest of them on equal grounds.
They greeted her, trying to stand up to be polite, but she waved them down irritably and took a seat instead. “What are you two talking about?”
“Nie Mingjue,” Lan Xichen said, and Jiang Cheng nodded. “We were just commenting on his many admirable qualities.”
Jiang Cheng nodded a second time, even more emphatically.
Wen Qing looked at them both with that critical eye of hers for a long moment.
Then she sighed in a huff. “He’s really all that and more, isn’t he?” she said.
“He is,” Lan Xichen said.
“He’s just –” Jiang Cheng tried the same gesture as Lan Xichen earlier, and was gratified when Wen Qing started nodding herself in total agreement. “Right?”
“Right.”
-
Nie Mingjue was aware that many people liked to stare at them, but they had assumed it was because of how unusual they were – even putting aside the eye, which was their most obviously not-normal feature, their behavior was not always in line with regular people’s. They didn’t show their emotions on their face as easily, being more naturally inclined towards sternness, and their manner was both sharp and incisive, straightforward and blunt; they had missed critical years of social development while lost in what amounted to seclusion, too busy solidifying their sense of self, consolidating their we into an I.
(They were still trying to figure out gender, a process complicated by the fact that it hadn’t made much sense to either of them to begin with. They were starting to suspect it would be better to just give up on it entirely.)
It turned out, according to Nie Huaisang, that that was not why all those people were staring.
“When you say they like me…”
“Sexually or romantically attracted, usually both,” Nie Huaisang said. “You have a lot of would-be suitors. Lan Xichen, Jiang Cheng, Wen Qing, Wen Ning, Jiang Yanli –”
“I don’t think you’re supposed to use their names directly like that,” Nie Mingjue said, though they weren’t sure about that. They’d forgotten more etiquette than they’d ever learned. “Also, isn’t Jiang Yanli getting married to Jin Zixuan?”
“He’s another of your admirers. As is Meng Yao…no, sorry, Jin Ziyao. You know he secretly thinks that you killed Jin Guangshan for him, right?”
They’d killed Jin Guangshan because he was rotten through and through, and he didn’t even have a qi deviation or a tormenting heart demon to blame for it. He just thought of people as things, even the ones he supposedly liked, and acted accordingly…they hadn’t really thought through the consequences of killing him when they’d done it, having long ago forgotten the concept of political considerations, but it was really amazing what could be covered up or excused if multiple sect leaders put their minds to it while the rest just breathed a sigh of relief that Jin Guangshan was gone.
“That seems like too many people,” they said. “They can’t all be my…admirers.”
“You think that’s it? I haven’t even gotten to Lan Wangji, Wei Wuxian – both at once, if that’s your preferred flavor – and even that feral child Jin Ziyao found in Kuizhou…you know just the other week, he loudly declared that you were better than sweets and the entire room sighed all at once in agreement?”
“Don’t be ridiculous.”
“I’m not. There are even rumors that say that Sect Leader Wen might be interested…”
They shrugged.
Nie Huaisang squinted at them. “Da-ge. Did you know about that one?”
“Sect Leader Wen is not subtle,” they said dryly. “But if it makes you feel better, his interest is purely a matter of cultivation, and also our father has already hit him for even making the suggestion.”
Nie Huaisang didn’t look impressed. “Are you sure it’s purely a matter of cultivation? Would you be able to tell if it wasn’t?”
Nie Mingjue considered how little they’d recognized any of the other people who were purportedly interested in them. “No,” they admitted.
“Hmm. What about Teacher Lan?”
“What about Teacher Lan?” they asked, suspicious.
“Nothing, nothing. Just something I read somewhere…”
Probably one of those spring books that he was always sneaking around, they concluded.
“Though…you have been going out of your way to meet up with Teacher Lan more often recently…”
“He’s helping me figure out some of the bureaucratic intricacies of changing succession,” they said. “He’s had the most experience, having to do it twice – once to get his brother out of the line of succession, and another to get him back in. He’s a good teacher.”
He was, too. For all of Nie Huaisang’s tall tales about Lan Qiren’s strictness and overly-rigid insistence on orthodoxy, the man himself had a very calming presence, still and tranquil. It made them think of a musical instrument and, using the Nie cultivation method as a base, start to think strange thoughts…
Though not the sorts of thoughts Nie Huaisang had in mind.
“I mean, I guess. Even I learned eventually, and – wait. Why do you need to know about how to change succession? You’re already the heir.”
“That’s the problem,” Nie Mingjue said. “I need to figure out how to abdicate my position in your favor.”
Nie Huaisang gaped at him.
“No, I’m not joking,” they said, because they knew their little brother. “I’m not suited for politics. I don’t think I ever was, and after everything that happened, I’m even less suited.”
They really weren’t. Too blunt, too sharp, too concerned with justice, too inhuman – they were good at fighting, in the sense that they knew how to be a saber as well as a human and could wield sharpness in the same way, a slash from their fingers being enough to cleave a man in half, but that wasn’t what being a sect leader was about.
No, Nie Huaisang would be much better at it.
“Da-ge, you can’t do this to me!” Nie Huaisang wailed. “Do you know how much work it’d be? Anyway, you can’t – our father’s already promised all of Qinghe Nie to your future spouse! So there!”
“Then I just won’t ever get married.”
“What?!” Nie Huaisang waved his hands wildly. “You can’t do that! You – you – do you know how many hearts you’d be breaking?!”
“So you’ve informed me,” Nie Mingjue said dryly. “It’s all right, Huaisang. I rather like the life Teacher Lan has made for himself, traveling all around and coming back every few seasons to teach something. I want to fight evil, and there’s a lot more evil out there than there is in here.”
Or, at minimum, there was more evil of the sort they were allowed to just stab. That was apparently frowned upon, in politics – there was a reason they said they weren’t suited for it.
“You’re not suited for fighting evil with a blade,” they added while Nie Huaisang was still spluttering. “But you can do wonders with people, if you’re given enough time to plan it. Being sect leader will put you in the position that will let you fight evil best, in your own way.”
“Not everything is about fighting evil, da-ge!”
“Isn’t it?”
Nie Huaisang didn’t seem to have a good answer to that.
After a while, he finally said, “…you really think I’d be good at it?”
Nie Mingjue pulled their younger brother in for a hug.
“You’ll be magnificent,” they promised.
-
They liked travel, just as they’d suspected they would.
People always recognized them – the eye was very distinctive, and they were also very tall – and immediately rushed over to share all their problems. They were very happy to help. Some of them they could fix personally, generally the ones that were stabbable, while they had a wide enough set of acquaintances to deal with many of the others: those who needed healing to go to the Lan sect or Wen sect, depending on whether problem was mental or physical; those that needed advancement to the Jin sect or Jiang sect; mysteries to be solved to the newly established Wei sect over in Yiling; and anyone with anything more abstruse than that over to Nie Huaisang personally to sort of.
Their little brother liked a good puzzle.
As for Nie Mingjue’s part, they liked fighting evil, and they liked helping people, too, if they could manage it, so it all worked out quite well. The road could be a little lonely at times, all alone with no one around, but it wasn’t really that bad. They were welcome at just about every cultivation sect and most of the other places they’d passed by, so it wasn’t like they were lacking for company if they wanted it.
It was only sometimes that they wished that there was someone else who might want to share this type of life with them.
It was a difficult life, always roving and never satisfied, intent on fighting evil for an eternity and prizing the doing of it over normal things, everyday things; they knew that they couldn’t ask someone else to take on a mission so absurd as stamping out all evil in the world, and so they didn’t. Who would be so foolish as that? Not everyone could leave behind all their responsibilities and ties to the world the way they did, passing instead through their beloved one’s lives by chance like a leaf tossed in the wind – nor should they, if those ties gave them joy.
Take their current mission, for example. One of Nie Mingjue’s earlier trips had taken them from Yiling to the Baixue Temple, with the highly unorthodox Wei sect’s equally unorthodox head disciple, Xue Yang, tagging along with them so that they could – in Wei Wuxian’s words – beat some sense into his head, and it had been on that trip that they had met Song Lan, who was thoroughly charmed by the idea of a sect established on principles of brotherhood rather than blood.
He'd also been rather charmed, they thought, by Xue Yang himself, and the interest had been mutual.
(They were getting better at recognizing that sort of thing.)
So Song Lan had gone off with them, with Nie Mingjue dropping both him and Xue Yang back in Yiling, and when he’d gone back again another time they had seemed very happy. But Song Lan had been thinking about his master and martial brothers back at home, and he’d asked if Nie Mingjue would be willing to carry along some letters that he didn’t dare trust to the post.
Nie Mingjue, suspecting a request regarding marriage was involved, had readily agreed. Sure enough, once they’d dropped it off, the entire Baixue Temple had all but exploded in excitement – they’d barely managed to make it out of there in time to avoid being dragged into all the fuss.
And now they were wandering around nearby, shaking their head in amusement at all the noise they’d left behind, looking for something more interesting to do. Some evil to fight, or something like that.
They found both.
“Well, that was exhilarating,” they commended to the cultivator in white that had worked together with them to defeat a rather astounding number of evil creatures in an effort to save some rogue cultivators who’d gotten in over their heads. Nie Mingjue’s reputation was already ridiculous, and was only going to get worse, they knew, but really this was a lot even for them. They wouldn’t have been able to manage it without help.
“It was,” the cultivator said, and smiled at them. “My name is Xiao Xingchen, disciple of Baoshan Sanren. Who are you?”
“Nie Mingjue,” they said. They thought they’d heard of Baoshan Sanren before, but they weren’t entirely sure – they had a tendency to forget things that weren’t that important to them. They thought it might be something to do with Wei Wuxian’s mother –something to do with the immortal mountain, and a doom that fell on those who descended from it…?
“If you don’t mind me asking, why did those rogue cultivators call you Curse-breaker?” Xiao Xingchen asked.
They thought about it for a moment, then shrugged.
Xiao Xingchen laughed.
It was a warm sound.
“Where are you going?” Nie Mingjue asked. “I can escort you, if you like.”
“Don’t you have things of your own to be doing?”
“Not really,” Nie Mingjue said. “I want to eradicate all evil in this world, a task that’ll take me a lifetime – and evil can be found anywhere. Why not with you?”
Xiao Xingchen ducked his head. “I don’t have a destination either,” he admitted. “I came down from the mountain because I wanted to help save all the people in the world.”
Nie Mingjue blinked. That was nearly as stupidly idealistic a goal as theirs.
“Well, then,” they said, and smiled. “In that case, why don’t we go together?”
It would be nice to have company, unrestrained by any obligations tied to the mortal world, and in return they could show Xiao Xingchen everything there was to see – introduce him to all the people, eat all the food, fight all the battles. And if in the end it turned out that that doom people talked about in regards to the mountain really was a thing…
Well, they’d see about that.
After all, Nie Mingjue had a bit of experience with curses like that.

In order to give a good image of the Marines to the people, the world government wanted to promote family values within the military forces. The admirals were each offered a woman to marry, chosen from the upper middle class, amongst the best suitors.
You were one of these women, you were to marry Sakazuki. They said it was your duty to your government. At first, you were not against it, you were just not really sure what to expect. From the little of him you had seen or heard, he was a very stern man, obsessed with absolute justice and quite taken by his place and duty in the Marines.
The marriages were made a public affair, of course. The government and the Marines wanted to show as much of them as possible. So in addition to not knowing what your future held for you, you weren’t even granted privacy around such a life changing event. Even with your mind weary of all the cameras and flashes aimed at you by reporters during the ceremony, you could not overlook his massive presence. Yet, you didn’t dare look at him for more than a second at a time.
You were given a home to occupy with your now husband. You were offered services such as housekeeping so you could continue to work your previous job if you wished to. Sakazuki was very distant at first, he didn’t really interact with you except for bidding you good morning when you woke up and wishing you a good night when you went to bed.
You got more privacy as your married life went on, although you were still exposed to media, especially when you went to work at the hospital every other day. You had dismissed your housekeeping help to do it yourself on your spare time, and also to accommodate the ideal family model the government wanted to promote.
You’d grown used to having him around the house in the evening and on his days off duty. He’d become more involved with you and started asking how your days went. Sometimes, he would thank you for taking care of the housework and keeping your house clean and feeding him good meals.
You got to tell him about patients you’d seen at the hospital and he listened to you. You could tell, later into the evening, that he was half listening and half falling asleep. Although you talked a lot about yourself, he didn’t tell you much about himself or his work. You guessed most of it was classified information anyways.
You’d always shared a bed together, but you’d been sleeping closer and closer to each other lately. At first, your remembered feeling very lonely on your side of the bed. In addition to the distance, you felt very small in that bed made to fit him and his unusual size. But then you started to move towards him slowly, and he towards you.
You now usually slept with some part of your bodies touching and even, on the better nights, he would pull you closer in a spooning position and fall asleep like that. These nights were your favorite, you got to feel him engulf you in his warmth and protection. You slept best when he was close to you.
His height and build were what frightened you the most when you first met him. Now, it was the thing that made you the most comfortable. He’d started kissing you on the forehead when he would go to work and when he would come back. He usually came to you, hands in the pockets of his red suit, bent over slightly to reach you and planted a gentle kiss on your forehead or on the top of your head.
You appreciated greatly that gesture. You’d never thought such a man could have shown such gentleness and care. But then again, Sakazuki was very gentle towards you from the beginning, even with the awkwardness of the first days.
As for “marital duty” he had always assured you that there wasn’t such a thing in your marriage. This relationship was more of an agreement to please the world government than anything else. It was nice if this could both gain you a friend, it was nice if this could both gain you a lover, but you were never forced to do anything.
You never questioned if he wanted to be intimate with you in that way. You assumed he didn’t but you were never sure. In any case, you never pressed the issue, it would come if and when it was meant to happen.
Living with him full time, you were bound to see each other in different states and different clothing as what was usually appropriate. First, you would both dress privately, away from each other. You would always make sure you wore proper clothing around each other, except maybe for sleeping, when you were the most naked in front of each other, although still technically wearing clothes.
As the time went, you grew closer and more comfortable around each other. He didn’t mind being shirtless in front of you. Then you grew more comfortable dressing around each other, seeing each other in your underwear at most. Then you sometimes ended up seeing each other practically naked, especially when you switched to take turns in the bath, with only towels covering your bodies.
But then again, there was no underlying sexual interest, so you were both comfortable with this. Your couple and your day to day life in this house were functioning smoothly. You dared to think you had finally become friends, maybe even close friends with him.
He only got one day off a week and he usually spent that day reading and gardening. You often left him alone with his gardening tasks, to offer him some needed time alone. Sometimes, he invited you to read with him, you pulled out one of your romance or fantasy novels and sit curled up on the couch, opposite to where he was. You both remained silent, purely enjoying each other’s presence.
Sometimes he was curious of what you were reading. You usually took some time to lay out the plot of the book you were reading for him. He was not used to reading fantasy and it amused him to watch you excitedly talk about your favorites. He was more into philosophy, history and essays. You sometimes asked him about his book in turn.
He was glad you were willing and capable to keep up with his reads. You were actually quite interested by what he read. You grew more and more comfortable with asking him about them as you noticed him liking having discussions with you. At first, even in everyday life, you practically didn’t dare addressing him for fear of being a bother, but you grew bolder.
You didn’t always share his views on things and sometimes, your discussions would lead to a debate. You could converse for hours at a time, calmly exposing each argument and sharing views. When you were in agreement, it led to a productive sharing of information. When you were in disagreement, you might not resolve the issue but it always allowed you to share your points of views.
You always listened carefully to each other in these moments. He never cut you off and you did the same. These moments were probably the most constructive of your relationship. There was no bad blood held after arguments. Each of you was entitled to their own views.
On these days off, when came evening, he usually liked to take a relaxing bath. Either himself or you warmed the bath water and prepared the items needed. He never failed to thank you when you did it, with one of his kisses. You liked to be helpful to him, not only for the kisses, but because you’d grown to like, dare you say love, the man.
One day, he asked you if you wanted to join him in the bath. With him inside the tub, you didn’t even need to maintain the heat like you were used to doing. Because of his powers, he simply warmed it up with the presence of his body. That day, you spent hours in the bath, in a peaceful silence most of the time. He pulled you closer until you rested against him, your back to his chest and you let your head fall back onto his torso with a delighted sigh.
He held you more intimately this time, and he spoke. He told you many things, about his feelings for you mainly. You were delighted by this open-hearted confession and responded to it positively. He asked if he could kiss you and you leaned into him.
The kiss was the start of your romantic relationship. The progression was slow and steady, you grew physically closer to each other in every day life, needing to feel the other’s touch. The gestures that were kept to the sheets and the dead of the night were now becoming more presents in your daily routine.
You slowly moved towards being fully intimate. He was always weary of the striking difference between his body and yours. He had to care for you with the outmost attention. When came the time you wanted to be with him fully, he couldn’t hide his concern.
Everything on him was proportionate, and with that in mind, he moved very carefully. You had to talk about it openly for some time before he agreed to it. When the time came you were in bed, still exploring each other’s body. He made sure you were as prepared as you could be and he still advanced with the most care.
“Don’t hold anything from me, understand?” His order resonated in you, although he kept his full composure, you’d known him enough time to know he was not at rest.
“I won’t, I promise.” You assured him, giving his arm a light squeeze to let your words sink in. Over the past weeks, he’d taken the time to know you and your body and you his. Today you’d decided to take it slowly. By the time you were in this position, he had brought you to climax several times already and you were ready and eager for him.
Although he would have wanted to have you face him when he penetrated you for the first time, he wanted to minimize the chances of you getting uncomfortable of even hurt and got you on your hands and knees. He was pressed against your back, his height allowing him to completely cover you with his body that he made warmer on purpose.
His mouth breathed against your neck, he tried his best to offer you intimacy despite not being able to look at your face. He kept caressing you and you moaned out your pleasure and desire. You pressed back into him and felt his parts against yours. He was ready to go, heart beating loudly in his chest and he moved forward slowly, gently.
He entered you carefully and even the hours of preparation, the ideal position and the unconditional desire hadn’t prepared you for this. The stretch was not yet painful but very uncomfortable. You let out a cry as you could not formulate words. Your arms buckled under your weight, muscles tired of constant tightening.
“Relax, let me hold you,” he whispered in your ear, fully aware of the strain your body was enduring.
He wrapped a strong arm around your waist and held you close to him. You felt the entirety of his heat invade your body and relax your muscles. The sweat on your skins made your bodies stick together in the most obscene way. You moves your hands to rest on the arm that was holding you up. You felt so small in his embrace, you squeezed his flesh in your hands as if to feel more of him, all of him.
Once you’d relaxed he moved into you more. It was less and less painful to you. You tried to keep your lower muscles as relaxed a possible and it came to you naturally. You took deep breaths until he filled you completely. He didn’t fit all of him into you but this was already overwhelming for both of you.
He stopped there for a few minutes and started kissing your neck. His arm was still strongly wrapped around you and you had nowhere to go. You wanted to stay like this forever, feeling his hot tongue and lips on the skin of your neck. But you wanted to see him, you wanted to kiss him.
You turned your head to meet your lips to his. He captured you into a deep kiss. You pulled away and moaned as the tiniest movements of your body stimulated your sensitive parts.
“Move…” you blurted out, “you can move… please.” He groaned softly in return. Your pleading voice suddenly the only music he ever wanted to listen to.
He started moving with care, keeping his rhythm as steady as possible through the overwhelming sensation your body procured him. The friction was delightful for the both of you. You mindlessly moved your hand to your core and caressed yourself in rhythm. Your hand sometimes touched the part where your bodies connected, letting you feel with your digits how big he was and how much he stretches you.
You felt a tight coil quickly form in your belly and it was only minutes before you cried out in pure pleasure. The orgasm piercing through your body made your walls tighten and pulse around him. His cry of pleasure was almost filled with pain, his own orgasm so powerful his arms trembled. He struggled to hold you as his body betrayed him. Yet he couldn’t let go of you, wanting every last drop of his seed to spill inside you.
You remained motionless for a moment, both completely spent but not wanting this to end. He moved right when he felt his body would give in, he fell onto his side, with you still pressed tightly to his body. You both fell asleep then, your bodies unable to function properly and your minds still floating in ecstasy.
From then on, you were more intimate than ever. You grew bolder and bolder in the bedroom. Being with him was easier and easier each time, having slowly learned how to make it work. Your routine continued as it was, only some things changed. And the passion of your first moments together slowly but surely turned into a deep, faithful love.

oblivious [kevin moon]
Tumblr media
🧸🎀 — pairings: kevin moon (the boyz) x gender neutral reader
🧸🎀 — tw: none.
🧸🎀 — wc: 3751
anyone who knows kevin to a personal level would be sorry for the guy, frustrated in his behalf even.
now, don't get me wrong, he's a handsome young man with a sweet personality, a nice car and good friends. he's a member of one of the hottest, on the rise k-pop boy groups, with a honeyed voice and great dance skills. he could probably bag anyone he wanted with minimal effort on his part, whether they work or not for the same industry as him. but the problem for kevin moon starts around someone who has little to nothing to do with the idol world.
you're kevin's friend, his little childhood friend from back when he was in america, and current best friend even here in korea. kevin's childhood friend who's only an university student, and knows as much about idols as you know about calculus— that is, nothing—, kevin's childhood friend who works part time in café, and still gets allowance from your parents, kevin's childhood friend who lives just three blocks from his dorm, who is so used to be by his side that you practically live at his dorm alongside his members. kevin's childhood friend who is... just his childhood friend and nothing more.
he's been on the unrequited love side of the spectrum for too long that his problem no longer relies on the fact that you guys are friends probably since you were both fetuses inside your mothers' wombs. he already felt this way about you when you lost your first tooth when you were six, even when you smiled at him with an incisor missing. he already felt this way about you when he taught you how to ride a bike at the park when you both were nine, even when you fell on your face and had a big bruise on your left cheek that remained on your skin for two weeks after that. he already felt this way about you when you turned fourteen and you stopped being a tiny shrimp and started looking more like what would later become his ideal type. he already felt this way about you when you guys were seventeen and he was starting his little youtube channel with one of his friends, and you would watch his videos with a genuine excitement that matched his. he already felt this way about you when you moved to korea together, not even knowing what was ahead of you but knowing that you had each other whatever happened.
he's been in love with you for way too long, so long that he already had every single inner monologue, argument, discussion and debate he could possibly have with himself about how absolutely wrong and criminal it is to have a crush, or rather, be in love with your best friend.
he won in absolutely zero of these arguments against himself, as he always came to the conclusion that it was wrong, you two were friends and that's it, that you probably saw him only as a brother, if anything. but he had received his very needed push in the back by his members, now close friends of both of you, that insisted that it was normal: you were attractive, funny, sweet and a perfectly viable choice for him due to your closeness, anyone in his situation would probably be the same, and he would be a fool if he let go of the opportunity. with your looks and personality, you could get a partner anytime you wanted, and time was ticking for kevin, which, in turn, prompted him to act with you in mind, courtesy of sunwoo who mentioned he'd be the one making the moves if kevin didn't do it first.
and, so, it started, the tortuous process of courting.
he didn't outright tell you he liked you, as he wanted to test the waters first, so he started with simple and minimal things, things that would go completely unnoticed by you unless you saw him as something more than a simple friend, unless you saw him in the same light as he saw you.
hugging you a tad bit tighter and longer when he greeted you, getting leaves out of your hair or clothes for you, tentatively holding your hand when he wanted to guide you somewhere, placing his hands on your waist on hips when he walked past you; all little things that made his pale cheeks burn up a crimson color and his stupid, traitor heart beat uncontrollably against his ribcage... all little things that you remained completely apathetic to.
“don't be afraid to up your game, hyung,” haknyeon had offered some advice, and as if it served as comfort to kevin, he had friendly palmed his back to show empathy for him, who sat with his head down, face hidden in his hands, “i think y/n is great! they definitely haven't noticed yet, and that's why they haven't said anything!”
it was another one of those nights where he was overcome with feelings, when the tug on his chest became too heavy and when the feeling of urgency became desperation. none of what he did was working out the way he wanted it to, and everytime he was left with more questions that answers: did you really blush when you brushed hands while reaching for the salt, or was it his mind playing tricks on him? were you really staring at him with such dreamy eyes when he was sketching or were you just spaced out? he could never tell.
“well, that's obvious,” sunwoo retorted, plump lips on a straight line. he scratched his head and nudged kevin on the ribs, “you're the one who knows them best, you should that y/n had never had a partner before, it's likely they're just oblivious to your advances,”
an imaginary lightbulb flicked on on top of kevin's head at that moment when he realized sunwoo was right.
in all the years he's known you, you've never showed any kind of romantic interest in any person. it wasn't that you were short of suitors or admirers, quite the contrary, actually, you've had that sweet tendency to smile at everyone that happened to make eye contact with you since little, offer your help whenever needed and an ability to make friends with anyone in a matter of seconds. kevin was sure, during all his high school years, that the reason why he was liked was because of the halo effect, produced by the fact that he was always by your side.
but, you, even with many suitors and secret admirers, never once brought up the topic of dating and crushes in front of kevin. he thought it was better that way, honestly, he's a bit more mature now but back when he was still a teenager, he was sure he wouldn't be able to take it if he heard you talking about another guy, all starry eyed and blushing. but that didn't mean he didn't feel curious about it.
one time, against his own mental advices to just mind his business in case he ended up with a broken heart, kevin asked you about a guy in your class who he overheard your classmates teasing you about.
“oh, yeah, you mean james, right?” you sat on the floor of his bedroom, copying the answers from his textbook onto yours. you had bit your pencil and narrowed your eyes, thoughtfully, “i tutor him on sundays. nice guy.”
“i know who he is,” kevin answered, matter of factly, as he reclined back on his desk chair. he pushed his glasses up the bridge of his nose as some form of idle distraction from the unsteadiness of his heart, “i'm asking you why were your friends making kissy faces at you when he was talking to you.”
he had sounded more stern than he intended, but, then again, that moment was the very first time he ever saw you blush and fix your hair in front of a dude, the first time he saw you act shy around someone.
“he invited me to prom last week,” you answered, continuing to write down on your notebook with your cute, pink gel pen, “and my friends think he likes me because of that.”
“how are you so sure that he doesn't like you?,” it's obvious he does, kevin thought, otherwise he wouldn't look like such a fool, stuttering and scratching his nape like an idiot everytime you two interacted. not that he's one to talk, though.
“because he's just being nice to me,” you frowned, “he always is. he walks me home when you can't, invites me to get coffee after tutoring, he saves me a spot next to him when i'm late for class,” you didn't lift your head from your notes or ever stopped writing, that's how trivial james's acts of ‘kindness’ were for you, “he even gifted me chocolates last valentine's.”
that's crush behavior, kevin wanted to say, but he didn't. he didn't want to implant the idea in your mind, making you overly conscious about it and forcing you to end up confused about your own feelings. if you liked him back or not, he decided, was for you to find out on your own, unprovoked.
“do you like him?,” but there he was, having to open his big mouth out of morbid, masochistic curiosity.
you lifted your head, finally looking up at him with a raised eyebrow, “no?”
“then why were you blushing when he was talking to you?”
“because julia was making a big deal out of it,” you said, frowning with certain annoyance and embarrassment, “and because noah kept telling him we look so cute together.”
“no, you don't.” kevin chimed in, perhaps too fast for his liking.
“that's what i'm saying! we're just friends!” you sounded a bit exasperated, probably tired from all the teasing, “just like you and me.”
thanks to sunwoo, remembering that useful, albeit painful, conversation served kevin to switch his approach around you. thinking about it, back then, it should have been his first clue about your lack of awareness. he discarded as simple, intentional obliviousness— he thought that james was so obvious about his crush, you might as well were just trying to ignore it and not acknowledge it to avoid having to awkwardly reject him; but this obliviousness of yours lasted even much, much after that, when you guys moved to korea together and the people you met there were equally interested in you but ended up receiving the same treatment of complete lack of interest. even eric had, at some point of your early friendship, when he had a pitiful crush on you that lasted a couple of months.
with a new, more direct approach in mind, kevin moon hadn't given up yet.
he began to make his hints a bit more obvious so that the wouldn't fly over your pretty, little head like the ones before did, and he was pleasantly surprised to find out that it worked with great efficiency.
complimenting you every chance he could, both looks and personality wise, often mentioning how you're the only person to make him this happy, how his day gets better when he sees you.
and alongside the not so subtle flirting, your reactions began to grow in intensity as well. instead of the usual, coy nudge you'd give him when he complimented your appearance, you'd purse your lips and look down when he'd say that he thinks you're absolutely stunning. you'd bite a smile, cheeks heating up, when he'd, purposely on accident, casually sit close to you while watching movies, both of your sides pressed against each other. when he'd press an unassuming kiss to your temple after dropping you back at your place, you'd lean into his touch for a bit longer than usual, and you'd look a blushy mess of shaky eyes and pursed lips once he did pull away. even when he wasn't trying, even when his focus was on something else entirely, the amount of times he'd catch you staring at him and then move your eyes away as soon as he noticed were too many for them to be a simple coincidence.
all of these interactions made him hopeful, made him think that he did the right thing by slowly approaching you in a way that you felt comfortable with. by the time he decided to finally confess to you, he was so sure you were, at least, confused about it, that you were seeing him in a new light now and that you weren't sure how to act around it, and that was enough for kevin, he just needed to go past that friendship relationship and then he'd work the rest, with you.
and with this realization came yet multiple other inner debates about how to go around the confession. should he prepare for it? invite you to a picnic at the beach and confess to you when you both are enjoying the sunset? or should he just be spontaneous? you've never liked anything too flashy, after all, and you valued honesty over anything else.
he chose to just do it one day, chose a time when you two are alone and tell you normally like he would do with any other thing. after all, you two were best friends who could tell absolutely anything to each other with no shame, and his feelings for you didn't change this.
but, whenever he thought about finally doing it, whenever he practiced his exact words in his mind over and over again until he was confident enough he wouldn't stutter, the moment would get interrupted by outside forces. like younghoon deciding to watch a movie in the living room where you guys were at, just in time when kevin had said he had something to tell you, like sunwoo coming uninvited into his room when you two were finally alone, saying that he was bored and asking if you wanted to play mario kart together. or that one time when kevin had managed to build momentum in his favor, mentioning how much he appreciates you and how lucky he is to have you by his side unconditionally, and just as he was about to utter the three important words, your mom had the inopportune need to call you, at three a.m. in the morning, because she had a nightmare about you being swallowed by the kraken.
being stuck in this predicament didn't dishearten kevin, though. he's wanted to tell you how he feels since forever, he wasn't gonna give up over a few unfortunate interruptions.
the perfect time to do it comes spontaneously, unprepared, just like most of those peaks of inspiration he feels out of the blue somedays.
tonight, you're staying the night at his. you had went grocery shopping earlier in the afternoon, and kevin bought the ingredients to bake you some brownies after your insistence and pleads, clinging to his arm and pointing at the deliciously looking pictures of them in the premade mixture boxes, so now you're sitting on the counter of his kitchen while looks for the ingredients in the frige, reading the recipe out loud for him from your phone while swinging your legs up and down.
“a double boiler?”, kevin leaves the fridge door open when he walks up to you and leans in so that he can get a look at your screen, “what the heck's that?”
“it says here that it's a fancy term for a... small saucepan filled with an inch of two of water set over low heat,” you read out loud, then lifting your head with a confused grimace, “huh?”
“i don't know,” kevin kicks the door closed after retrieving the butter, shrugging and trying to pretend he didn't notice how you stared at his lips just a second ago, “i'm just gonna make that one old recipe, the one we know and adore.”
“yeah, i don't know why you felt the need to change it,” you set your phone down and hop down the counter to give him more space, “you know i just eat whatever you make.”
“you like your brownies a bit more fudgy, don't you?” he takes a bowl out of the cabinet, and places it right beside where you're standing. he offers you a smile, a bit shy but genuine, “and i like to spoil you.”
at that moment, sunwoo walks into the kitchen. he makes a small gesture of acknowledgement to you and walks past kevin to get to the fridge. you follow him with your eyes.
“hyung, i'm heading out,” sunwoo grabs a water bottle and closes the fridge again. he stands by kevin and points at the bowl where he's wisking the eggs, taking a short sip of his water, “can you save me some brownies?”
“i'm not making these for you, you know,” kevin sighs.
“just one, then,” sunwoo insists, eyebrows up and pout on his lips, “you know i love brownies.”
“i'll save you some,” you smile at the younger guy lightly, “where are you heading?”
sunwoo shrugs and scratches his nape, “had the sudden urge to go to the movies.”
“alone?” you inquire, trying to supress a laugh.
“don't judge a man for his hobbies, y/n,” sunwoo flicks your forehead with little force, and kevin hates that ugly feeling in his gut when you giggle and poke your tongue at him, “gotta go now, i've already purchased my ticket.”
and with sunwoo leaving, everyone else out on individual schedules and chanhee dead asleep on his room, you both are, technically, left alone in the dorm for once and for all.
kevin pretends to be too preoccupied with spreading the thick batter in the baking pan to notice that the perfect opportunity to do it is just unfolding in front of him. he knows that the reason why he keeps getting interrupted is because he likes to take his sweet time with it, dragging it out as much as he can so he can prepare his heart for it. he decides he's not gonna do that tonight.
just as he opens his mouth, your phone dings on the counter. kevin busies himself with putting the baking pan in the oven while you reach for your phone with the spatula he used in your mouth.
“who are you texting?” he asks once he notices your wide smile and soft giggles.
“yurina, one of my uni classmates,” you lick your lips after you're done licking the batter off, tossing the spatula into the sink, “she's happy because she asked her crush to be her girlfriend,”
“and did she say yes?”
“well, she wouldn't be happy otherwise, don't you think?”
there's an one-sided awkward silence when kevin rests against the counter while staring at you intently texting back and forth with this girl from uni.
a moment of doubt crosses his mind. should he really do it? something tells him he shouldn't, that he should just keep quiet, but he's been walking through this desert for so long ago that stopping now feels wrong when he can practically see water in front of him.
love gives him a push in the back.
“what about you?” he asks, and he internally cringes at the way his voice cracks a little at the end. he clears his throat, “i mean, are you interested in anyone?”
your thumbs stop typing suddenly, and you remain frozen for a moment, staring at your screen. you're blushing a little when you slowly lift your eyes towards him, and he mirrors such expression when his hopeful heart does a little flip.
“why—why are you asking all of a sudden?”, your voice sounds tiny and you look a bit doubtful of him.
“well, you never tell me about stuff like this,” he scratches his eyelid as he looks down at his shoes. the awkwardness is almost painful, and he's sure he isn't the only one feeling it right now, “is it someone you can't tell me?,” he makes a small pause in which he lifts his eyes from the ground and looks at you, “a close friend, maybe?”
silence fills the kitchen. the hen shaped cooking timer clicks as it counts down the minutes for the brownies to be ready, hour phone pings with new upcoming messages, the tv in chanhee's room makes deaf noise in the backround, yet, none of you talk.
when you refuse to meet his eyes that come looking for you, biting the inside of your cheek and looking down, kevin realizes he's going to be the one who breaks it, unfortunately.
“did i hit the jackpot?,” perhaps he sounds hopeful, or perhaps the silence was too loud that his voice now seems to over-volume it.
you finally look up from the floor, “why am i the only one being interrogated?,” you sound a little more like yourself when you block your phone and cross your arms on your chest, lips pouty and the tip of your ears a little bit red, “you also never tell me anything about stuff like that!”
“i'll tell you if you want,” he murmurs, trying to analize your reaction, “if you tell me first.”
in the heart fluttering moment, odds are in his favor, he knows. it's on the way you look at him through your eyelashes, shy and maybe even a bit flustered, the sugar rush on his veins at the sight of your blush, ever telling of your feelings. because he knows you so well he knows that his hunch is right, it's because of your connection that he can feel that it's no longer one-sided, that, as much as he feels for you, you feel for him.
“why don't you,” you make a small pause to press the back of your hands to your hot cheeks, “why don't you say it first, then?”
“how about we say it at the same time?,” even in his certainty there's still cautiousness, as if he needs confirmation even if he can read your heart, “at the count of three.”
“okay,” you smile at him with warmth, gentle, still laced with a shyness that makes your eyes a bit glossy, and it's the prettiest thing kevin has ever seen, “one.”
“two.” he says, his heart on a frenzy, mind a bit hazy with quiet excitement for what's about to come.
“three!” you both say, and there's a small pause before any of you continue:
“you!”
“sunwoo!”

Tumblr media
Weak.
You felt so weak, yet your body buzzed with some sort of nervous energy as your eyes locked with him. You felt breathless, like you needed to lie down. How did he have such a hold on you?
Those damning eyes that sucked you in everything he looked at you. Inky pools of nothingness that you wanted nothing more to stare into. You knew you shouldn’t, it was wrong on so many levels.
It was all his fault, he was doing this to you. He enjoyed seeing you falling apart in his hands, like glass that had been struck. He knew exactly the effect he had on you, a simple smile could make you go dizzy.
You turned around, leaning against the table, fingers fisting the white silk cloth that adorned it, trying to compose yourself once more. You could just imagine the state of the news if they found out you were involved with the likes of Jung Jaehyun.
Everybody’s eyes were on you, the heir to the throne. There were suitors scattered through the hall, waiting for their turn to talk to you, to take your hand and ask for a dance, or waiting for you to ask them. It was pitiful, there were so many waiting, but you only wanted one, the one you could never have.
Scandalous.
How had no one seen him yet? If your parents found out he was here, he would be burned, killed. A vampire in the royal palace? On royal grounds? Everyone would retreat in fear, no one would trust the integrity or the capability of your family’s protection.
The silk between your fingers felt like thorns all of a sudden as a bitter taste filled your mouth. Raising one of the drinks to your lips, you took several sips in the hope of washing it away. That weak feeling resurfaced as you staggered backwards as you made an excuse to leave the room, scurrying down the hallways to get away.
Stopping in the middle, you took in deep breaths. Someone could follow you, they could see you slowly loosing your mind over someone you wanted to stay the furthest away from.
A cold hand wrapped around your wrist as you froze in place.
“Running away again?”
His voice was smooth, like melted chocolate. Steeling yourself you turning around to face him, pulling your hand away and rubbing the area he touched. “From you. As usual.”
His lips twitched as he took a step forward, closer to you. Jaehyun loved the way you reacted to every little thing he did, the way your eyes widened, your body stiffening in anticipation.
You felt weak again, like you would collapse. This was wrong, so wrong, vampires were the most dangerous specimens out there and everyone had warned you about this, but oh, no one told you they could be this beautiful.
Jaehyun was mesmerizing, absolutely gorgeous. He did this to you, what he did though, or how-you weren’t sure.
“You don’t have to keep running. I’m right here.”
“I’m not running for you”, you said, “I’m running for me. From you.”
“You sure about that?” He licked his lips, leaning closer towards you until you could feel his breath fanning out on your neck. This was a dangerous position to be in, a little nudge and you would fall apart for him.
“Of course I’m sure”, your voice cracked towards the end as your eyes fluttered shut, bracing yourself for the inevitable. His arms wrapped around your waist as he pulled you closer to his body, “Are you lying?”
His voice was just over a whisper as he asked you the question. He was close, so close, just a little more and he would be kissing you.
In answer to his question, you leaned forward, pressing your lips to his before remembering this was wrong, something you had been warned against time and time again. You had to pull away and run, to abide with your lies and run away from him, for yourself.
But he held you close to his, body flush against his as he kissed you back, pushing you against the wall of the hallway. You hands came up to cup his face, tilting your own ever so slightly to kiss him better.
Someone could walk down the hallway and spot you too, anyone could see what you were doing. You were betraying everyone that trusted you for this momentary thrill, but fuck, you didn’t want to stop. You felt yourself go weak again in his arms as he held you up.
Jaehyun was addictive, his tongue swiping over your lower lip. His kisses were cold, icy, but they somehow filled you with warmth. Your ears buzzed, mind going hazy as your hands found their place in his hair, tugging ever so slightly at the ends. You could just imagine the faces of your suitors when they found out you had ditched your own ball just to kiss a vampire, the very thing they promised to protect you from if you chose to marry them.
How did you end up like this?
Everyone knew the undead lived among you, but they usually lived on the down low considering they could be killed on sight since they were a threat. Yet Jaehyun was right here, mouth on yours as you kissed.
The kiss got messy very quickly, teeth clashing. It hurt to an extent, the way everything had to be a secret, the way you had to run away from him every time only to end up in his arms. It hurt when you were kissing him, because it was a reminder that you shouldn’t be doing so, that you could never be happy with him.
He pulled away, glancing over to the side where a door was, pushing it open and dragging you with him, re-attaching his lips to yours, trailing them down to your jaw. His cold lips sent shivers down your spine as your eyes fluttered shut, fingers fisting his dress shirt.
Jaehyun left open mouthed kisses down your jawline, to your neck, and that was when you were very aware of the fact that there was a vampire right in front of you. He could kill you, in fact he had you right where he needed to do so.
Was it bad that that fear sparked into some sort of sick excitement for you?
“It won’t kill you”, he said as if he had read your mind, “But if you want I can stop right here.”
“N-no”, your voice had lost all stability, eyes screwed shut, “please don’t leave.”
He took a step away from you, looking amused, “I thought you were running from me?”
He knew, he fucking knew he had you. The ghost of his touch lingered on your body, as if pulling you to collapse into his embrace again.
“I’m always running Jae.”
“What’s different this time then?”
“Absolutely nothing”, you licked your lips, staring at his as if you were in a daze, “I’m going to keep running, for both of us.”
Jaehyun kissed you again, “Not scared?”, he whispered against you, one of his hands intertwining with your own, fingers curling around yours as he kissed you. You grasped onto him, mind going blank once again.
A bite would never kill, quite the contrary in fact. Jaehyun had bitten you once before and it had been nothing like you had expected. Sometimes you found yourself wondering if that had started this mess, from the moment he first kissed you to the bite. Maybe that’s what made you fall head first into something you were supposed to stay far away from.
His lips were back on your neck, kissing and ghosting over. He was teasing you now, trying to set you off and make you snap. Letting out a shaky breath, your lips formed a pout, “Jae please.”
His other hand rubbed circles on your hips, building up your anticipation. You wanted him, only him, but he was the one person you couldn’t have.
“Imagine if the others knew”, he murmured, “That their precious heir falls apart so easily.”
His fangs grazed over your neck, making you shiver as you closed your eyes, tilting your head ever so slightly for him. You were like putty in his arms, silently wondering how he ever had this much control over you.
You hissed in pain as he sung them into your neck, before your knees buckled as you feel into him. He caught you as he latched onto your skin, sucking at the bite marks. Some of your blood trickled out from the side, a sticky stream of red liquid.
The pain dissolved into a feeling of weightlessness as you whimpered, clutching onto him as he drank your blood. You felt faint, that weak feeling resurfacing in full force as you let out a cry, “fuck”
“Pretty”, he muttered, pulling away and brushing his fingers over the bite mark, making you grit your teeth at the stinging sensation. He smirked, pulling you with him, “you still want this?”
“They’ll kill you”, you whispered, “I don’t want to lose you.”
“You know you’re going to”, he said, thumb brushing over your cheek, “that’s why I’m asking, because even if they don’t find us, I’ll leave myself.”
Silence.
“That’s why you’re running hmm?”, he asked, eyes glazing over as he studied your features, before dropping his hand. “You’re afraid of what I will do. You don’t completely trust me, but you’re not ready to let go either.”
Each word made you realize how right he was. You were so selfish, you wanted everything, with nothing in the bargain. You were hurting yourself and him in the process. How had it come to this? You had never been like this, something had changed.
You wanted him. You wanted him not.
“What have you done to me?”, you asked, voice fragile as you stepped away from him, a mixture of fear and regret clouding your senses. He watched as you reeled away from him, lower lip trembling as you did so, “Stop it, please.”
You sounded so desperate, “Please stop it”, you whispered, “Stop giving me false hope.”
“Do you still want this?” He asked again, narrowing his eyes at you, “I gave you nothing Y/n. There are plenty others waiting for you.”
“Of course I want this, I want you”, you spat as if it was the worst thing in the world, “But I’m not supposed to want you. Why do I want you?”
Jaehyun was dangerous, walking with him was like tempting fate. He was the calamity, the danger. He knew this as well, which was why he asked your permission every time.
You should have said no.
You should have never indulged, because now you could never push away the possibility. Instead you nodded weakly, locking the door behind you as you faced him once again, “make me forget you’ll leave then.”
His eyes, those fucking eyes that made you go weak at the knees, they softened, guiding you to the bed as his mouth met yours again in an icy kiss. Your fingers curled around the fabric of his shirt, loosing yourself to him once again.
You awoke the next morning to a bed that smelled like Jaehyun, a bite mark at the crook of your neck and a feeling of loneliness and regret that sat at the pit of your stomach. Of course, you knew he would be back, coming around when you least expect it, when you’re the most vulnerable to him.
You were addicted, no one else could do it for you, you were in too deep. You silently wondered what would happen if you defied everybody and their warnings to be with him. You already had broken several rules, why not break them all?
Fear. He was right, you were still afraid.
One day you’d have to snuff out the crimson calamity that tainted your body and blood with his touch, but for now, you decided that you would stand in the eye of the storm.
And run.

Hello sunshine, would it be possible for you to write me some headcanons for my beloved Chuuya, Dazai and Atsushi? I was thinking about them having a fragil health s/o? Maybe they work an office job in the ada/pm and they somehow fall for the s/o? I hope this is no trouble and you have inspiration to write this. If you don't like this you can just ignore it. Thank you very much :)
Hi anon! Thank you for the request! So I’m assuming that when you say fragile health s/o is that the reader can get sick easily/overall very weak? I hope that I got the interpretation right, and I didn’t please feel free to send it in again so I can do it over for you. Reader is gender neutral, and hope you enjoy!
TW: Suicide (Dazai’s part, nothing heavy is mentioned, and it’s only in one line) and Abuse (Atsushi’s, nothing heavy is mentioned)
Easily Sick/Weak S/O with: Chuuya, Dazai, and Atsushi
Chuuya
Oh man, he hated this feeling. He already hated you even working in the Port Mafia (even though he was there too), but he hated it even more since you were weak physically
Don’t get him wrong, Chuuya knows that you’re a strong person through and through, but it was so easy for you to get hurt or sick working on the field, it honestly made him worried
What also made him worried was how he was falling for you and quickly. He’s an executive! He doesn’t have the time for romance, and what if (really when if because he wants you so bad you have no idea) someone decides to come after you because of your ties with him? It was already so easy for him to lose you now, he didn’t want to chance things and speed up the process
But, you were just...a really great person. You were determined, always kept your head up, didn’t take anything from anyone (you backtalked Mori once and still walked away with your throat intact, so that was a sign), and it didn’t help that you were really easy on the eyes (he couldn’t help it, you were already attractive, and those things were just icing on the cake for him)
Chuuya didn’t know how you could stand being in a stuffy office all day, so he always stopped by to check on some “information” for some “case he’s working on). It started out genuine, but then it became a daily occurrence, even on his rare days off.
One thing about him is that he’s a true gentleman, he knows how to treat his partner right. Bringing lunch to you, flowers sitting on your desk for no reason with a random note (”Hope you have a good day”, “Saw these when I was out, made me think about you”, “These don’t even compare to how beautiful you are, inside and out”, etc.), driving you home no questions asked, even offering you his favorite bottle of wine to share
He knows that he’s being cheesy but he was pulling out all the stops just for you
He knew it was risky for you to be out all the time, so whenever he did finally ask you on an “official” date (you thought sharing his wine was a date but he said that he wanted to show you off, not just in the office), you guys were either in a fully reserved restaurant or at his place. Seriously the way his place looks was like luxury! Damn you knew his job paid good money but wow! This was better than going out honestly
He confessed when you went over to his house one night. It was a particularly rough day for you both, and you just needed some reassurance which Chuuya was happy to give. It seemed like he went on for hours, but really it wasn’t too long, and you were in tears by the end of it. When he ended it with, “anyone would be beyond lucky to have you (Y/N), and I wish it were me. I wish I would have the chance to show you how much I really do love you, words aren’t enough for me. I’ll take the chance if you let me, and I swear you won’t regret it. Be mine, (Y/N), I’ll treat you like you deserve, and you deserve more than the world.”
You both understood the risks that came with dating you, but he swore that he would protect you with his life. If you did get sick, he couldn’t be there for you during the day because of his work, but he made sure to text you every hour on the hour to check on you and as soon as he got home, it was caretaker mode until you both went to bed
He bought you your medicine, the fluffiest pillows ever known to man, I mean did everything and anything. The dude was loaded, money was not an issue obviously
Chuuya is a great boyfriend, and will honestly do anything it takes to keep you safe and happy. He loves you after all, and he doesn’t mind all the extra work that comes with it (he doesn’t even see it as work, just precautions, which still isn’t a problem)
Dazai
He was not only worried about your health and safety, but also the fact that he was falling for you. Dazai was a very secretive person who didn’t like to show his true feelings, and he was scared of what he’s feeling for you. Him being attached and actually caring about people never paid off for him, as his past would tell you...
But here you were, being a bright, shining light in his cruel, bleak, dark world. He tried to keep his distance at first, but he couldn’t help but be drawn to you. You were so fun to be around, despite your condition! You always helped as much as you could in the office, being the first one to pick up on his work when he was too lazy busy to complete it and having reports ready for any meetings, even on short notice. You looked out for him, both as a coworker and as a caring friend, and he could tell
You even helped him annoy Kunikida sometimes, which just made you even more stunning in his eyes
He felt himself falling for you more and more everyday, finding excuses to stay in the office just to be next to you. “(Y/N), please don’t strain yourself my dear! Let me handle this for you, I would be a terrible suitor if I didn’t.” “Dazai, I just have to staple these- nevermind, thank you my knight wrapped in bandages!”
Kunikida would of course hate this and drag him out every time, but all that it concluded in was Dazai whining and complaining about how it was so unfair that he was being kept from his “precious (Y/N)” and how they must be so lonely without him. It got to a point where Kunikida made a compromise with him: if he actually does some work and help on the field missions, then he can spend more time with you in the office
I feel like they forget that Dazai is actually crazy smart and most likely already knows the culprits to whatever cases that they are handling, and he was definitely waiting for this outcome. No extra work for him and more time with you. It’s a win-win!
When he does eventually accept that he was in too deep, he started to take his advances in a more serious manner (I mean he was always being serious but he was not going to hold back anymore). He’s a great listener, so anything that said wanted that was said in passing conversation, expect it to be on your desk with a little sticky note. You had a strong craving for something? What do you know, Dazai brought just enough for both of you to share (and he gave you the bigger portion of it). You want to go see the stars? Sounds like the perfect date night for you two!
That’s how he actually confessed to you, right underneath the stars. It was perfect, you guys were away from everyone, having an amazing time just stargazing. He couldn’t remember the last time he felt this at peace, and you were to thank for that. He knew that while he was risking his life on a daily basis, but you were constantly fighting for yours. You couldn’t even go on a mission with how easy it was for you to get an injury you couldn’t recover from. But he had faith in you and in himself, that he wouldn’t let another person that he cares for perish in front of him. He made that promise to you, and that he would do everything in his power to keep it. He will not fail you
After that night, your dates were usually held at your place, and it ranged from cooking together to having movie nights. You didn’t have to spend money really, you were both fine in the house in each other’s arms. And if you did get sick, you thought he was clingy before, WHEW did it get more intense
You had to push him off of you too many times to count. What part of NO HUGS did this man not get?! You were already suffering, he didn’t need to either. He did try to make this a double suicide opportunity though, and you were not very happy
Was banned from cuddles for 3 weeks straight, it was pure torture for him
You were Dazai’s distraction from this horrible joke he called a life, and he was welcoming of you. He embraced you, never complained about your weakness or anything. You were someone that he can proudly say that he loves, and that won’t ever change
Atsushi
He was so nervous, so scared. He doesn’t even know how to look everyone in the eye, how was he suppose to admit that he started to like you more than a friend?!
Atsushi was in love with you, I mean he was in deep. He couldn’t help it! You’re just so nice, so easy to talk to, always there to give him a pep talk and just keep him in high spirits. It just wasn’t fair what hand life had dealt you. He wanted to spend time with you outside of the office, but due to your delicate situation, he was so scared to. What if the Port Mafia tried to strike and he wasn’t strong enough or quick enough to protect you? He wouldn’t be able to forgive himself if you died because of him. He wouldn’t be able to live-
So he tried (keyword: tried) to spend time with you at work. But with Kunikida on his ass about work, and Dazai being Dazai making his life difficult for his own amusement, made it difficult. Every time he got a chance, before he could even speak a word, someone needed him for something. If he did somehow had the spare time to talk to you, he would either choke or say something that he really meant but chickened out last minute and tried to change it (which was kinda your fault, you like to tease him sometimes too)
“So, um, (Y/N). I remembered that you said you liked that one takeout spot, so if you want I can bring you some back?”
“You would do that for me, Atsushi? Wow, it’s almost like you’re like my boyfriend!”
“Yep, I don’t mind! It makes me happy when you’re hap-w-WAIT HU-“
But besides that, he always checked on your whenever he got back from his missions (even if he was the one injured and bleeding), brought you back small trinkets or food, and always walked you home, not caring if it was out of his way
He hated that you were confined to the office majority of your time working, but he was worried that literally anything could and would happen on his watch, and he didn’t want to risk it. With Kyoka tired of watching him in distress and even Dazai showing a sliver of compassion for him, they helped him set up an inside date
But first, he had to ask you. Dazai wanted him to do some elaborate, over the top, proposal for asking you out (which Atsushi was pretty sure that he just wanted him to panic and embarrass himself) and Kyoka suggested that he gets you tofu (which he was also convinced that she just wanted some again). He decided that he was just going to have to suck it up, and do it himself. He has been through Hell and back, and if he survived that, then he could ask you on a date damn it!
So he finally got some courage, and directly went up to your desk. When you looked up, you flinched back. What was with the intense look in his eyes?! But you realized soon enough when he bowed and asked you to come over for a date. And of course you said yes!
The date was marvelous, and the poor boy was sweating so much you thought he was going to pass out! Whatever Dazai and Kyoka did to the place blew his expectations out of the water. Latern lights strung up along the walls, your favorite meals readied, little messages stuck to the wall made just for you, and the biggest/most comfortable blanket fort that you had ever seen. It sounded so simple, but one look into your eyes and you were overjoyed. He really did mean it that it made him happy that you were happy
He confessed with you snuggled into his side, so anxious yet at ease. Despite everything that he has gone through, you were brave too. You were stuck in that stressful environment, had a body that could quit on you after one bad day, yet you still encouraged him every day, every time you spoke to him after he’s had a bad day, or an encounter with Akutagawa. He was so convinced that he didn’t you, that he didn’t deserve anything good in his life after the abuse he endured at the orphanage. But you didn’t let him believe that for a second, and he’s indebted to you for that
He poured his heart out to you that night, and ever since, he’s been a lot more confident, both in his ability and in himself. You gave him that push in the right direction to trust himself more, and everyone could see the change (Dazai was pretty proud to be honest)
Dates after that were spent at his apartment, relaxing. Once in a blue moon, you guys would go to the arcade where he won you guys matching Tiger phone charms (he was a little embarrassed but he loved you and the charms too much to let it affect him)
If you did become ill, he would panic so bad that you had to bring him back down to Earth while hacking up a lung (not literally but it felt like it). He tries his best, he’s a little shaken because of how distraught he would get due to your fragile body, but he does care for you pretty well. If you need anything, he was too scared to leave you so Kyoka would be his go-to (with the promise of tofu afterwards)
(But don’t worry she’s a little worried for you too)
Atsushi knew he could never forget the horrors that he experienced at the orphanage, but you reminded him of the strength he had to not let it hold him back. He was your hero without a doubt, but you were his in the sense of how strong you really are, and how you didn’t know or believe it when he told you. You became an overall positive influence on his life, and helped him see life a little brighter and more meaningful. He loves you more than you could imagine, and he would continue to prove it to you in everything that he does.

JEALOUS IKEMEN (SENGOKU) BOYS! YEAH JEALOUS BOİS :D Could you write about this topic for headcanon?
yes maam/sir/gender neutral greeting random bois below
Warning: Suggestive content? idk what to tag this
Nobunaga
Doesn’t get jealous easily. He’s confident not because of his station of power, but because he’s sure that your heart belongs to him (the way his belongs to yours), and petty flirtations from other potential suitors aren’t going to sway that kind of commitment.
But even the Devil King isn’t without cracks of weaknesses here and there. For him, it’s when you actually act kind and loving to the other person who’s trying to get your attention. And you often do that, of course, because you’re naturally kind and loving, though it doesn’t help that you’re also sort of dense when someone is trying to flirt with you.
...which means he hates it when Ranmaru clings to you. That boy may seem innocuous enough but Nobunaga can’t help but sense an underlying secret beneath all that ‘little brother’ attitude.
“What did you do today?” It’s something he always asks when the two of you are about to go to bed.
If you tell him you’ve been out with Ranmaru all day, enthusiastically talking about the places you went, the food you tried, he’ll probably hold you closer on your shared futon, the grip on your waist unyielding, and pin your body down underneath his. At this point it’s safe to assume that you’re not going to go to sleep anytime soon.
“All day, you say,” he murmurs, opting to administer teasing kisses on your neck and jaw, doing everything he can to avoid your lips where he knows you want it the most. The man usually takes what he wants, so when he teases, you know it’s going to persist throughout the affair.
His hand wanders to the hem of your robe, slowly slipping inside.
“Then I suppose it’s only fair that you dedicate yourself to me all night.”
Hideyoshi
As a devout follower of Nobunaga, he likes to think that he also doesn’t get jealous easily, because he’s a full-grown, mature man, right?
Let’s just say that’s not quite it.
There was one time he catches you in a room with the seamstresses, and he sees you blushing. Red from the top of your head to your neck. They are surrounding you, likely showering you with compliments on your design, but he can’t actually hear what they’re saying. All he knows is that you’re sat in the middle of them, face delightfully reddened and a slightly distressed-slash-embarrassed look on your face that reminds him so much of the face you make when you’re in bed with him...
And that’s when the feeling flares up in his gut. He announces his presence and practically ushers you out. Stunned, you follow blindly. He brings you to your shared quarters before deciding to ask what you were doing with the seamstresses exactly.
He doesn’t know if he should be dismayed or delighted at your still-blushing face. Did you get redder? You show him something you’ve been holding in your hand, something he doesn’t notice—
It looks like very skimpy, very accessible undergarments.
You stutter as you explain. “It was a gift.”
His hungry eyes pinned on yours, hands already beginning to undo your obi, he replies in a heartbeat. “Then it’d be rude for us to not use it.”
Shingen
Guy flirts with anything that has two legs and breathes so
It’ll be kind of hypocritical of him if he gets jealous easily, and by nature he’s very chill, so... that should be fine.
Or so he thinks.
It starts with you bantering with Yukimura. The two of you are almost like siblings in Kasugayama, always having something to good-naturedly argue about, so he’s used to the sight. What he’s not used to is Yukimura blushing around you. Maybe the two of you are talking about something embarrassing, but Shingen isn’t used to seeing him like that at all.
With Sasuke, you’re always sharing inside jokes about the future. Even after Shingen’s short visit, he can’t say he understands everything you talk about. Sometimes he’ll catch you snickering with each other (about something called a ‘kombucha girl’? He’s not sure).
Kenshin pours your sake at banquets.
It’ll take awhile for jealousy to blossom, but when it does, it’ll be unexpected and... maybe enjoyable. He’ll whisk you away from the lively party into the quiet of his quarters, lips nibbling on your ear and hands busy undressing you.
“Shingen, what—ah!”
“Everyone’s in love with you, do you know that?” he asks, nimble fingers on your chest. “But only I can have you like this, because you only love me. I want you to say it.”
Possessive Shingen is a rare occurrence, so you best enjoy it while it lasts.

❖Shindo Yo❖
Tumblr media
❖He L-o-v-e-s it.
❖Won't admit that he thinks you're lowkey cool, but for sure will try to become your friend.
❖Even if you reject or say you're not interested, he is determined to be your friend
❖Once he does. ‘Cause he will. Names you as his best friend and or partners in crime.
❖He likes the thought of knowing you and seeing a side others don't see, it makes him feel special.
❖For sure acts like your charm doesn't affect him in any way, but will flirt back/ This is now a competition.
❖Won't come off too strong. Lingering gazes, soft touches, buys random things for you but just because he saw it and thought of you.
❖If you don't say no then, or express any general discomfort. This man Amps it up. From a 5 to a 19.
❖Casually holds your hand, scare off any other potential suitors, walk you to and from school. Thinking he’s winning.
❖Until
❖Stop the motherfuckin music.
❖Until he realizes he caught feelings first.
❖He has never felt so played
❖How he realized this was from a dream of you
❖Will try and act all cool
❖Until he wants to make the dream a reality
❖I wouldn't say he’s the most romantic, he’ll treat the day as normal, but will more touch than normal and walk you to your house and giving you like a necklace or bracelet with his initials and ask you to go on a date with him
❖If you say no, he won't give up. Pulls out all the stops. He won't hesitate to ask you in the middle of lunch.
❖If you say yes the first time, he’ll find the best place to take you out and where you can be fully comfortable.
❖Once y'all start dating. He is your biggest hype man, your biggest fan, will brag about you so much. Like stfu.

❖Dabi❖
Tumblr media
❖A bitch
❖Jerk
❖Bastard
❖Did I mention he's a BITCH!
❖Always has smart shit to say! Like bitch, fold his ass. He’s a cocky motherfucker. Let will pull out all the stops to make your cold exterior break.
❖OR
❖Acts like you don't exist! Almost has burned you several times during a fight and be like “Oops. I didnt see you.”
❖Please humble this dude. Or I will do it for you.
❖Rudest motherfucker. If you crack and go off on him, he’ll laugh and call you a liar. “Tryna act cool. Get over yourself.” If you dont, he’ll either give up completely or try even harder. Will do anything to get on your nerves. He’s a bug and a menace to society.
❖But I assure you. He’ll give up and warm up to you. Might push a few buttons here or there, but sees that you're chill, and he likes that. To be completely honest. If you were to be in a relationship with Dabi, it is not. I repeat! Is not a healthy relationship.
❖Dont expect cuddles, hugs, hand holding, for him to open up to you. If you have any self-respect for yourself, you'll leave him. If you don't or aren't that strong, he’s fine either way. Won't berate or belittle you, but every moment is soul crushing.
❖It’s better for your mental health to just stay away or be his friend. At the end, you deserve better.
❖ You both work well together and at times love to see you explode in fits of rage, from his constant harassment. It gets to the point Shigaraki or Kurogiri have to step in.

❖Shigaraki Tomura❖
Tumblr media
❖Shrugs it off.
❖Your chill. He’s chill. Y’all chill together. Wont do much about it, but find you a little interesting and will hang around you.
❖Sees you as a close friend, so the majority of the time yall hang out it’s quiet and calm. Doesn't mean he dislikes watching you charm your way out of situations.
❖He’s not a huge flirt or romantic, and no one talks to him in the way you do. Like subtle winks or cheesy grins when you're happy. But it definitely hits different. But he won't tell you that.
❖Doesn't think much of it when his eyes dart over to you. Or like his heart speeds up when you smile rarely. He’s chill about it and won't say a damn thing. If you're looking for a relationship. You'll have to make the first move. He will not.
❖Hella surprised if you subtly flirt, wink, lingering touches, or stare back at him across the room. Won't think much of it, but man is it hitting different.
❖When he realizes he likes you romantically, is when it’s just you two talking at the bar. Nothing overly extravagant, just simple. Something that Shigaraki loved, was the simplicity and chillness overall.
❖Nothing much will change if you both start dating. You wont go out on dates, unless you count midnight walks and taking out random civilians in the way, or hanging out late at night at the bar together. ‘
❖You both are a Power Couple. Like shit, both of yall are dangerous together.
❖The rest of the league low key makes jokes and Toga makes ship names of you and Shigaraki and tries to see which sounds better. Dabi makes fun of Shigaraki all the time about being a simp. Which is funny. Several eye rolls from Shigaraki.
