So one day after a drivers meeting Max just goes "see you later love" and kisses Oscar goodbye and Oscar is like "see you, please don't forget to buy tomatoes"

And everbody just freaks out because WHAT. Lando grabbing poor Oscar by the shoulders shaking him like "how could you not tell me something like that", Charles yelling in French, George would just like both of them to know that as Head of the GPDA he supports both of them-

Meanwhile Oscar is like "But we never hid it? We even wore each other's clothes" and pulls out a picture of him wearing the most basic white shirt.

THAT LAST LINE IS SO FUNNY THEY WOULD SAY THAT max is like "but oscar and i arrive together all the time" and everyone is like "we thought you were just ride sharing???" like they're not VERY pda-y so i will forgive the paddock for not catching on a little bit but lando once literally walked in on them sharing a bed and thought it was just. idk platonic cuddling????

The best advice i can give any creator is do it before you're good at it, do it BEFORE you're happy, do it while you suck, do it while you're doubting yourself and get stuck the fuck in, because waiting around to be "good enough" is a motherfucking trap of the highest degree. You'll get good along the way and better after every project is complete. Remember, this is the greatest thing you've ever created, and then you'll do something else. You're only ever gonna get better, but not if you stand still.

the tradwife movement is the same as it has always been - back in the kitchen, back to breeding - it just has better branding.

when i was younger, i hated pink. i was not like other girls. this is now something i'm embarrassed of - this was not me being a "girl's girl."

but it was expressing something many of us felt at the time: i literally wasn't what girlhood was supposed to be. this is a hard thing to explain, but you know when you're not performing girlhood correctly. it isn't as easy as "i liked x when girls liked y" - because there were other girls that liked x, too - but i never figured out exactly the correct way to like x, or to be interested in y.

now there is the divine feminine. this is the same rhetoric it has always been: women are biologically driven to like pink and ribbons and submitting to our husbands.

the problem is that the patriarchy found a better PR team. because yes, actually, i want every woman to have the choice to be a homemaker. i also want her taken seriously for her legitimate home-making labor. i want her to be recognized as also having a job, just unpaid. i want men to have this opportunity, too.

but it is no longer "i made this choice and I love it." instead it is a sixteen-paragraph rant about how selfish it is that my generation isn't having kids. instead it's long videos about how if you feed your children processed foods, you're going to kill them. instead it is "this is what womanhood is supposed to be. i feel bad for any other choices you're making."

the shame spiral is just prettier. it is large houses devoid of personality. it is the implication: if you don't have this, you aren't happy. the solid, everlasting assurance: women are actually supposed to be submitting. this is the default. this is the natural state of things. all other attempts inflict suffering.

but you can no longer say i'm not like other girls. you can no longer reject this image completely. you cannot find it revolting, even if you know that the underbelly is toxic and festering. sure, it is the same repackaged patriarchy. but the internet does not have shades of grey. you should support and reward other women! your disgust is actually internalized misogyny. not because you are seeing a vision of yourself the way they're trying to train you to be. not because you feel her ghost pass within an inch of your earlobe. not because your father will eventually ask you - why can't you be like her?

because they figured out how to make it beautiful: women will sell other women on this idea, and we will find the singular loophole in feminism. sure, she's shaming you in most of her videos. sure, she implies that a different life is obscene. but she just wants you to be happy! you'd be happier if you were listening!

and the whole time you're sitting there thinking: i'd actually just be happier if i had that kind of money.

Lando walks in on them sitting (cuddling) on oscar's couch in his drivers room and lando just rolls his eyes like "mate i know he's your manager and all, but why are you wearing webber merch"

Oscar, sitting there in a redbull hoodie with a 1 one it and VERSTAPPEN in bold on the back: "...what"

And Oscar assumes it was a joke because the cluese were THERE okay so he just assumes that everyone knows.

All of this does lead to a very loud and long discussion between lando and the other drivers à la "Well how was i supposed to know??" while retelling the most obvious things ever. Oscar opening the door to Max's flat? Well yeah cat sitting is a thing people do. Oscar on Max's yacht? Yeah so Lando also invites his friends on boats. Max and Oscar sharing a bed in the hotel they're staying at? Oscar said the aircon in his room was broken, it's kind of Max to offer and why are you all looking at me like that-

lando is so great for this because 1) he is the most oblivious idiot ever and 2) he has that homoerotic whatever going on with max fewtrell so he automatically writes off any slightly romantic behavior off as 'friend shit'. but since he's the closest to oscar and max he's also kind of the only one of the drivers who could and should know whats really going on between them. absolutely hilarious

Obsessed with the idea of Mobei Jun going through most of his life thinking that he's the only one smart enough to pick up on Shang Qinghua's worth and try to court him, only to walk into a room one day (prior to his ascension) and see Luo Binghe's husband beating up his man in what is clearly a non-serious and recreational fashion.

Just how long has this been going on for? Is this why Qinghua has never formally accepted any of his proposals? How is he supposed to retaliate when Junshang will kill him on the spot for any perceived attack on his husband? The one guy he probably can't challenge to a duel, and he's clearly trying to seduce Mobei's man out from under him!

But what can he do? More violence? Sluttier outfits? Longer attempts at meaningful eye-contact? He was already pulling out all the stops, what does this stupid scholar have that he doesn't, huh?
